2 star service at a 5 star price. The edges of my nails were not painted and the edges looked messy. I needed to check my nail tech’s work repeatedly and had to ask her to correct her work multiple times. I don’t like to have to supervise while I am there to enjoy my service. I asked for the same color on both my hands and feet and after getting home to look at them side by side these are 2 different colors. At such a high price point you expect a high quality level of work. I don’t care for the fancy frills if the quality of nail work is not there. Disappointed and will not return.

I love this salon. It’s clean and safe. The owner is always so pleasant and courteous and that’s a big plus for me. My nail tech, Nancy was fast but efficient, patient, and thorough. She was so nice, made sure to understand what I wanted, and gave me exactly what I asked for. They are amazing and I would definitely recommend this salon. The best in the south loop. I got a colored no chip French Manicure and regular pedi.

Mike was amazing! He was very gentle andMeticulous in his work. I’ve been to other salon where I’m literally in pain from how rough they can be using some of the tools. He took his time and I couldn’t be more happier.

Today was my first time visiting Lo Spa and Nails. My 10 year old daughter and I both received manicures. I received a no-chip manicure and my daughter a regular manicure. The service was absolutely amazing!! Our manicurist took their time, were welcoming and handled our hands with perfection. Not only was the service exceptional but the place was clean and sterile. They went above and beyond to ensure the clients felt safe and followed the suggestions made by the CDC. Thank you!! Can’t wait to return!!

Injured!! I went here for a mani pedi. During the pedicure, the technician missed my heel and instead scraped my ankle really bad with the callus remover thing. It was bad, and it’s a deep cut! They had to put a band aid on it bc it was bleeding badly. They didn’t even offer to discount my pedicure or anything. Just said sorry. I understand mistakes happen but it was a serious cut and I would think they would at least offer a discounted pedicure. And it felt like I was being rushed and they didn’t really care to pay attention to detail which is why this even happened. They put some drops on the cut without even communicating to me what the drops were, or that they were going to do that, which was weird.I was going to add a picture of the cut but I don’t want to gross everyone out.This is my second time here. The first time I got a gel manicure - multiple nails chipped within 1.5 weeks. And it’s pricey!I’m definitely never going there again.

Definitely the cleanest and chicest nail salon in South Loop. I work late and they’re pretty accommodating to last minute reservations and my nails always look lovely. I get a gel tip every 2-3 weeks and you’re definitely paying a premium price for a good ambiance but what makes it worth it is how clean the location, workstations, and utensils are and how attentive and kindly the nail technicians treat people.

Great spot in the heart of downtown to get your nails done. Theres a parking garage which is free with validation and if you make an appointment, they get you in and out in about an hour. I got a gel manicure with one of the staff and he did such a lovely job on my nails. He took his time and i showed him a pic of a design I wanted. Loved how it turned out! Would definitely recommend checking this place out.

The staff are very accommodating and I love that they have perfect matches for the OPI gel, and OPI regular polish so your mani pedi can be identical! One of my favorite parts of coming here that adds to the relaxing experience is that they play movies, it keeps my attention and helps you just sit back and relax for a little while.

I LOVE this place. Its the cleanest nail salon I have ever been to and they are always friendly. The no chip lasts over two weeks! Also, they always play great rom coms in the background. I feel very safe going here during covid as they are taking all proper precautions and would recommend it to anyone.

I have been coming to LO Spa and Nails for over a year. When I walk in, I am greeted by name, which is always appreciated. This is, by far, the best nail salon I have ever experienced. The salon is immaculate and always has nice movies playing (with captions!).Ive had gel manicures as well as regular manicures and pedicures performed. They are always consistent (high quality job, friendly techs, willing to answer questions, etc.) and they honor appointments. A tip: Cash gratuities are appreciated here, so be sure to think ahead!

Easily the cleanest nail salon I’ve ever been to. New files and buffers are used and discarded after each use. Pedicure lasted 2 weeks and no chip for 3. Color selection is pretty standard. Better to call and make an appointment but they take walk-ins, you’ll just be waiting a bit. Will definitely be back and absolutely worth the price for the cleanliness and customer service alone.

My friend and I had the BEST pedicures here! The $50 spa pedicure is a MUST!! Treat yourself, lay back in the massage chair, enjoy the luxurious process. She even rubbed our shoulders for us while our toes were drying. Apologies again to the concierge, who gently scolded us for taking far longer than the five estimated minutes to our arrival, but also held our spots for us graciously.

This is the best place that I have gone to in the area. A lot of places go above and beyond during appointments...but this place goes above and beyond with SCHEDULING! No matter how many people I have, or how last minute it is, they always seem to get me in. I actually usually send them a message on Yelp requesting an appointment, and they get back to me SO FAST (even late at night some times). Also, the manager always makes sure to ask me how the appointment went before I leave. He genuinely cares about customers experiences!!!!! I will always go to LO Spa and Nails!!

I have been coming to this nail shop for about 5 months now. I waited to leave a review to get many great experiences on the books for a thorough review. I have been very impressed with my experiences from start to finish. I cant even name drop anyone specifically as to who to ask for. Ive went to almost everyone working and they are all equally as great for both no chip manicures and pedicures. I did have one not so desirable encounter. They girl was new and did a very rushed job. I ended up having to come back for fixes, but that was definitely a one off as that was not a normal experience.The location is upscale and very clean and sanitary. They have some great color selections as well. Parking is not too bad as there is pay to park street parking right in front on Clark. They do get busy so I would always recommend making an appointment. They are always prompt with appointments so you can definitely count on staying on schedule. They do run a special Mon-Wed 10am-2pm offering savings on manis and pedis. This is also a great time to go as they are usually pretty slow. Overall, I would highly recommend.

EXCELLENT job! Beautiful place. Ladies were extremely nice. They take their time, and double check after shaping before proceeding. They do however REALLY take their time, this is NOT a quick pit stop. Sit back and relax. They also do an exceptional job sanitizing and cleaning their areas, using fresh tools.

I recently relocated to Chicago and was looking for a nail salon. I was excited to try LO Spa and Nails based on the reviews and proximity to my home. I will start with the pros first. The salon is beautiful, clean, and hygienic. They have a great special Mondays-Wednesdays 10-2pm. I wanted to love this place but sadly I don’t see myself returning. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The pedicure was unimpressive to say the least. One reason being, I don’t feel enough time is spent on cuticle care. As for my gel manicure: I had one nail chip two days after I got them done. I returned and they fixed it at no extra charge. 5 days into my manicure I had 2 more nails chip and by the 6th day the tally is up to 3. A gel manicure should last at least 2 weeks. In the past, I’ve gone 3-4 weeks in between gel manicures with no chipping. There is no point in paying extra money to have a gel manicure if it will chip within a few days time.

Ive gotten 3 no-chip manicures here and so far have gotten consistently good service. The staff is not the most social, but everyone has been polite, efficient, and has done great work. Only thing more I could ask for is a drink--another reviewer mentioned complimentary wine, which sounds wonderful, but I have never seen or been offered anything to drink, so perhaps that was a short term promotion. Hope they bring it back!

Its pretty modern and clean, but a little easy to miss based on the Google address. All of the supplies were autoclaved and wrapped in sterile packaging. The nail techs are very sweet and ask you questions about what you want and whether you are happy with each step. My manicure was done efficiently but with attention to detail. At one point, I was struggling to put my headphones on because of the foil wraps, and the woman helped me untangle my headphones and put them in my ears. Great service. I would definitely go back if I had the chance.

I came here while visiting my sister in Chicago and I think everyone at low Nails is amazing they do really good massages and took their time to give me a great manicure and pedicure. I think that if you choose low Nails you will be happy with your choice. RAINBOW ROCKS

A great place to get your nails done and they do an excellent job with their gel nails. They also have specials during the week, Monday - Wednesday for a mani/pedi service before 2pm. I love how Jenny did my gel nails.

I’ve been at this place couple times before and I liked it, but my last time was complete disappointment. The lady was doing my pedicure, and I asked her to cut in grove nail. She said that she can’t. Which is weird. She also kept the foil with acetone on my nails too long, and my nails started hurting me so I had to take it off by myself. And when we set to do my nails, and she didn’t cut my cuticles, that blow my mind. You coming for manicure and you need to mention to the technician that you want your cuticles to be cut, insane. Dear manager, owner, I’m leaving this review not to insult you or your business, but for you to pay more attention to the service you offering. You charging big money, so please make sure your stuff know what they are doing.

Meh so so job. Not impressed with the job done on my nails. High south loop prices, but the owner/manager is always there and is very nice. He was even willing to start up a hot water bath for my boyfriend who was just there waiting for me while I got my nails done.

Even when they’re busy there isn’t more than a 5 minute wait. Very well managed and always happy with the results.

My 1st experience kinda sucked. I went with my old college roommate for a pedicure and not did the owner switch nail polishes(my friend has mine and I hers) my pedicurist put the wrong coat on and then an extra coat of the orignial polish causing it be too heavy. The polish eventually smeared and I had my big toe repainted while i should have just been drying. For 35 dollars, this was the worst pedicure ever but the ambience and great customer service by the owner after their mishap is why I gave it 3 stars.

Best mani-cure Ive had in a long time! Their chairs are great and so relaxing. They do have medical grade autoclaving for sanitizing the tools and they used disposable file&buff etc.. Super clean!I always get white polish which is hard to do and they made it look effortless! I found my new spot!

Normally I have a wonderful experience at Lo Nails when the owner is present; however the shop was ran by another associate that preferred to send away customers. She indicated that I could not be seen for another 1.5-2 hours and during this wait time I watched as she sat on her phone and another associate stayed in the back until the next scheduled appt. If the salon intends to be “by appointment only”, I would suggest having clear signage and/or a website to indicate this to avoid future dissatisfied customers. I also would encourage the team at Lo Spa and Nails to have a consistent delivery of services with and without presence of the owner. Sitting on a cell phone in front of waiting customers does not support the “too busy” message.As I go to post this, she also has now taken a client after sitting for a full hour. Extremely disappointing.

They dont do acrylic, gel powder or even dip powders. What kind of nail salon doesnt offer that? If anyone opens a nail salon in this neighborhood they could EASILY take all this businesses clientele just by offering acrylic, gel powder or dip powders. Disappointing. 👎

I made an appointment day of and was able to get in. Instantly I was greeted with a friendly face and beautiful, clean environment. It is gorgeous with all new and modern decorations.I received a pedi and SNS dipping powder which is a new way to do nails. They were very polite, attentive and overall flawless. They had relaxing music and a tv which had captions to keep the peace. Price was just right as well. I got $5 off with a combined service. Best place so far in the South Loop! Flawless. Definitely going back.

Update 7/16/18My initial visit was indeed an anomaly. LO is excellent.They invited me back to redo my manicure/pedicure, and it was a very, nice appointment. Great nail shaping and preparation for polish again (though I really liked the woman who finished my manicure the first appointment as she did an excellent job applying the nail polish close to the cuticles. This time around, I had a lot of exposed nail). I still tipped $10 for the nail technician for thorough exfoliation and nail preparation!Their window signage has a $40 mani/pedi special M-Ws before 2pm, which I will definitely come back for.********Super nice receptionist and lovely, clean place...BUT, my nail technician basically decided to get up and leave before my manicure was done. She didn’t speak English, which is fine, but it would have been nice for her to have someone else communicate with me as to why she was leaving.Another woman, who did a great job, finished my manicure. I’m assuming that I had a rare and uniquely bad experience based on the reviews.I recommend that you pick your color from the actually bottles of polish as the one I chose from the ring of plastic nails ended up being the only bottle and was super thick... I didn’t care that my pedicure has thick polish, but my nails ended up looking like squished Playdoh because they didn’t have any new bottles of that color. I think it was #150 Essie.I didnt get offered any beverages or receive the neck/back massages, which others did. Perhaps this is what happens when its a 7pm appointment and you give someone a $10 tip before they are done.$55 was way too much for the level of service on their regular manicure and pedicure.

Great service. Ive been here twice now and had a fantastic gel mani both times. They offer free wine during your mani, hand moisturizer and massage, and shoulder massage while your nails dry. My gel mani has lasted over 2 weeks both times.I do wish they had more color selection. Im a fan of bright colors and they seem to cater to more neutral tones or reds/pinks.
