The woman who did my nails was extremely rude and very rough when doing my nails. I pulled my hand away from her on more than one occasion. The manicure and pedicure were fine in terms of the painting but I will not be returning do to the rudeness I encountered. I typically go to Elle Nails or H&M Spa but they were booked. I now understand why this place was so easy to get an appointment. I will not be returning and I recommend anyone who is considering this place to consider somewhere else.

A total scam!!! The website price does not match up with the prices they charge once the service is completed. When we proceeded to show the owner the website she said it hadn’t been update and the price is what she is stating and their is no exception.-All 3 of us got a deluxe pedicure but the service each one of us was very different. My friend didn’t get 80% of the same treatment.-When asked why - the owner started yelling and so angry for even asking the question.-whole experience was uncomfortable from the minute we sat down on the chair.-They wouldn’t accept any other form payment other than Venmo. On Venmo they are not listed as a business but a personal account which is illegal.-Everything about this salon is wrong-customer service was nonexistentAND YOU GIRLS/GUYS - they have a sign asking for no pictures, posts, etc about unpleasant services they provide. So this cannot be the first time someone has encountered what we did. Terrible terrible experience. We went for a birthday celebration and it def killed the mood 100%.Please avoid if you can.

I really love this salon!👉🏼They’re very careful and take a long time to prep nails before the manicure👉🏼When they remove gel nails, they do it a very natural way, without the drill ( which can really harm/ tear up your nails)I come here at least once a month, and have gotten nothing but great gel manicures here, highly recommend.

Lacquer Day Spa was a great place to come for a mani/pedi. The prices were very reasonable, especially for the neighborhood. The interior was very cute and spacious, and I really appreciated how they seemed to take COVID and sanitation in general very seriously. They had a great selection of colors and brands of nail polish.

Nail salons in Chicago are hot or miss and Nail Lacquer has been a hit ever since I found them a few years back. Always has been a clean, professional environment (more important than ever now) and the only place I’ll go to get my nails done. Emma is my go to and I can always rest assured that my nails will last the full 2 weeks without a chip.

The pedicure was excellent. However, the lady in charge of the salon was arrogant and raised her voice to me when I asked for clarifications about the amount charged vs the requested service.I paid, left a tip and I am not coming back.

This is the cleanest nail salon I’ve ever been in! They don’t use drills to file nails and my mani and pedi are beautiful! This is my nail place now, so happy I discovered it.

While wandering Chicago, waiting for a friend to get out of traffic, I found myself with an hour to kill. I walked all around the area we were going to be meeting and checked out all the nail places, but none of them, save Lacquer, could take me right then.Its small, but its clean, and my tech, Bayan, gave me a gorgeous manicure. Im not one to try to get all the fancy things - its a miracle if I remember to take care of my cuticles most of the time - but Bayan handled my tricky cuticles with ease and care. She was quiet, but sweet, and we shared stories of living in America, specifically in Chicago.It was a great experience, and if Im ever back in that area, I will be back to Lacquer.

My nail esthetician was very thorough with my pedicure, and very gentle. Relaxing environment, very professional and I appreciate the COVID measure they have implemented to ensure everyones safety!

I live in the neighborhood and was really excited to get my nails done on my birthday, called and made an appointment as usual only to find out they “can’t do gel manicures because they don’t have time?” I was totally disrespected and I felt like they’re were being unnecessarily rude. I’ve never actually left a negative review in my life but this is a first because they earned it.

I don’t typically write reviews, but I’m making an exception for the poor service I received here.I had hoped to visit Jewel Nail Spa nearby, but it was full so I ended up making reservations here with a friend of mine. We both opted for a regular pedicure service, which I’ve had hundreds of times at other shops. My friend was seen first, and I started five minutes later.As it should, the service consisted of two parts: first, prep/care and second, the actual coloring. My technician, Emma, rushed through the prep/care and finished the coloring before my friend’s prep/care had even concluded (and remember, she started five minutes before me, too). No one else was in the shop, so there was no pressure to finish early.When I was finished, the owner asked me how it went. I shared that I thought the prep/care was rushed and explained why. The owner didn’t listen and instead made excuses, dismissing my concern immediately, saying I could have paid extra if I wanted more care. She asked me condescendingly if I even knew anything about nails. She dismissed that my friend received a considerably more thorough treatment, saying it was because she was getting a different color - but the color paint you get should not of course have any bearing on the prep/care.And at the end of it all, the job on my nails was mediocre at best.I will not be returning; I’ll rather wait for availability at the other salon.

Always a great experience! I always call to schedule an appointment. It was awkward at first because they have to unlock the door for you to enter but I appreciate the security. Clean, friendly and good service.

I got my pedicure just today . It felt very rushed, it was so back that when I got back home and felt my heels there were cracks.

Very disappointing. The owner, or whoever the woman is who runs the show, does not care for repeat, loyal business. How she handled a recent situation was nothing but disappointing. On top of it, the services recently have been subpar. I wouldn’t take your business here. There are several salons in the area with a comparable service level for the same cost, if not less. Don’t waste your time.

Fresh air salon- no more overwhelming acrylic odor! Clean, well lit and organized. Excellent nail techs and services.

The employees are nice but salon is not the cleanest. My most recent manicure is my last. The nail tech ripped my cuticles and they are swollen and sore. The nail polish was so thick and clumpy and never dried. I had to remove the polish once I got home.

The massage chairs are broken!!!! I used to go here all the time. Even with the continued construction out front, the fact that there is no train/bus nearby, or even the creepy way the door is always locked...I still kept going. I used to adore their CDN nail polish, but honestly the broken chairs are the last straw!

My no chip manicure chipped after 1 week on three different nails. My toes were smudged before I left. When I walked over and asked if they could redo the gel nails that were chipped they said theyd have to charge me a soak-off fee. Ive had no-chip manicures from other places that literally did not chip for 1.5 months until I took the polish off myself. I have a punch-card here and spend $100 every time I go, and after that - bad manicure and bad service about it - I will never go back. Way to lose a loyal customer!

I go here once per week, SOKO has done an awesome job, but is leaving. Last night I had a Mani/Pedi scheduled with her. I always make an appointment. I was in my manicure, when a woman walked in without an appointment and wanted SOKO. The woman up front (owner’s Mom, not a pleasant business operator) had the nerve to ask me if someone else could do my pedicure, while the walk in sat staring at me! I told her “No, I have an appointment, and she just walked in.” It was rude, awkward, and she did that to me once before. I am not a stranger, I go in often. I would give the gals/guy working there very high ratings, but will be going to another nail salon that appreciates and treats their clients better.

The owner is very rude!She insisted that I was wrong for wanting another top coat! And didn’t want to do it! I had only had two on when I asked. she was very pretentious and condescending throughout the entire service even when I spoke to her on the phone to make my appointment. She didnt even say thank you or goodbye as I left the salon. NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME HERE BECAUSE OF HER. The salon isn’t the cleanest either

Do not bother coming here. Their quality used to be good (I had been coming here for years - NEVER again) !! It really has taken a turn for the worst.I got a no-chip manicure and pedicure from here and it started PEELING off just 6 DAYS later. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere where they know what theyre doing, they care about their work, they pay close attention to detail and where they do not use inferior products.The last two times when I got a subpar regular mani/pedi from there, I thought I had just gotten stuck with a bad nail tech, but this time really solidified it for me. Never wasting my money at this salon again.
