This is by far the best salon in Chicago. I have never had much luck with gel manicures at other salons. I felt my manicures would always chip after one week. But this is not the case with Madelyn’s Spa!! They take their time ensuring each manicure is perfect & now my nails last 3-4+ weeks without any chips or problems. I also always go in asking for different designs & they’re always up for the challenge! I cannot recommend Madelyn’s enough!!

Was there a week ago while visiting from out of town. Within a few hours several nails had split down the middle and a week later they are completely ruined! Horrible workmanship, worst manicure ever! My once beautiful, long nails are now gone and owner is blaming me! BS

Highly recommend this nail salon! I went on a Thursday after work to get a no chip manicure/regular pedicure and my boyfriend got a standard mani/pedi and opted out of polish. I recommend calling ahead to make an appointment to ensure they have enough nail techs on that day.My nail tech, Nancy, did an incredible job. She was so detail oriented and would take pauses to re-file a small part of my nail or fix a cuticle if she saw something out of place, and made sure to wrap each tip in polish for optimal staying power. Nancy also helped me pick a polish color after I chose one that would deposit little to no color (I wanted a sheer pink), and she was spot on. My nails look like GLASS they are so perfect.My boyfriends nail tech was Linn, and she gave him the best first experience. His nails look great and nicely cleaned up, and I dont think it will be his last trip there :)

Love love love this place! They actually offer hard gel/gel overlay. (If youre unaware, most salons DONT but will tell you they do.) It costs a little more than regular no chip/gel or dip manicures but, for me, its soooo worth it! I usually go to Linn and shes so nice and she takes her time making sure the work is done correctly.The salon is super clean and I love the seating they have for pedicures. Most salons go with those clunky and surprisingly uncomfortable chairs. NOT this salon! Instead they went with a simple and comfortable cushioned bench style set up. Also, they have a wide range of colors to choose from both for no chip and dip.Best part about this salon is they take appointments! So no need to wait around, unless youre a walk-in.I highly recommend this salon!!!

I just moved in the area and was looking for a good nail salon do after reading the reviews of Madelyn Chicago nail salon I decided to go since its literally 3mins from where I stay, Im so glad I did they are so nice there and welcoming and Suzie took her time doing my nails. I definitely will be back.Thanks Linn for letting me know it wasnt you but Suzie!

This place is very close to my job. Someone was available as soon as I walked in. Gel manicure was $35 and if you know that is a steal for downtown. Lynn was great! Also the place is LARGE. I would recommend for a bachelorette party or a nail day with your friends. Only drawback is that they don’t have many people on staff because they don’t have many customers. It has nothing to do with quality, it is because it is on the second floor. I plan to go again. I just hope they do some good marketing!

Every nail technician is amazing at their craft! I get so many compliments on my dipping powder nails as they apply them thin at the cuticle and thicker at the end where you need the protection. Call ahead and make an appointment!

This is probably the best my nails have looked from a nail salon. Although I dont get them done often I feel the nice nail technician put a lot of effort into making my nails look beautiful.

Let me tell you Linn got me feeling like a million bucks heading into my wedding! She gave me the best manicure Ive ever had - tips and dip with subtle art, very classy and elegant! She also gave me a lash lift and tint, and I am obsessed! Linn was so friendly and helpful, and I felt very secure in her hands. This was my first time having anything done to my lashes and first fake nails! I also noticed how happy all the staff seemed to be working together. I cant recommend Linn or this salon highly enough!

Great experience! I have super short nails due to bitting them and I did not feel judge. Lynn made me feel welcome and encouraged about trying to let them grow. My nails look beautiful!

I’ve been to a lot of nail salons and every time I’ve moved I’ve tried to find the best in my area, not just price but quality. Since moving to Chicago I can confidently say that Madelyn Chicago Nail Spa is my FAVORITE. Here’s the thing, this place is no frills, it’s like JUST RIGHT. Super clean, the staff is warm and welcoming (they will remember you even after one time), the quality of their work is excellent and the price is completely reasonable! When I go get my nails done I know they will do a pristine job (and I get compliments on my nails literally all the time after a session).Also I love how they always have Netflix playing on tv, sometimes it’s friends, sometimes it’s one of those random Netflix game shows (everyone in the salon gets really into those haha), but it’s an awesome relaxing friendly vibe.Also something to note, since it is inside Ogilve they get a lot of the train conductors stopping in for manicures and pedicures. So if you indentify as a male and want to go get your nails done, you can be assured they are totally chill about it. I took my husband for his first pedicure here and he was completely relaxed, no weirdness at all, he loved it and comes back with me from time to time (I’m mentioning this because I’ve been to nail salons where they get weird about a man coming in, rest assured this place is NOT like that at all)If you’re looking for a place that serves you champagne while you sit in a massage chair this is not it. Yes, those places are fun and you’ll definitely pay the price for that type of service but I will say that you aren’t guaranteed quality; I’ve been to places like that and have had my nails completely wrecked so it is really hit or missTLDR: if you are looking for a reasonable price, incredible quality, and a clean relaxing environment, THIS IS IT!

Ive been all over Chicago for nails and this is by far my favorite place. I almost dont want to post because its a best kept secret and I dont want it busy! But May is the best and we always have fun with amazing design like marble, ombre, sparkles, etc. All the manicurists are great, friendly, and knowledgeable and yes, their polishes are different than what you see elsewhere but its because they pride themselves on using NON-TOXIC (unlike all the other salons - which destroys your nails!).

So happy I found this spot. This is my 2nd time coming here. Ive made my appointment via google and it was fast and easy. The owner responded right away and made sure I got scheduled for what I wanted. They are very meticulous when cleaning and filing your nails. I will definitely be coming. Very happy customer.

Tammy greeted me at the door this morning and explained the differences between what I know (no-chip) and a dip.I ended up with my original choice but also got a thorough and very professional pedicure. Hands down the best nail salon in Chicago- my nails are perfect every time and everyone on staff is friendly and does a great job. There are a lot of options in Chicago for nails but this place is the top in terms of quality- seriously!! My sister and my mom are now clients too. Cant say enough good things about this place! Would give 10 stars if I could.

Ive been trying to write this review for a while now, but never got to it. The salon is small but functional. Once you walk in the door you are always greeted by someone. Linn is my nail technician, but all of the staff is wonderful. Madelyn nail spa is all about healthy nails and you see it in their work. I found them because I was looking for a reputable nail salon who did dip powder. Im pretty harsh on my nails (I usually break them after I get them done within a week). With dip powder and Linns technique my nails usually last up to three weeks (could be longer, but the polish usually grows out and of course I want a new color). I would highly recommend Madelyn Nail Spa if youre looking for great nail spa service. OAN: Make sure you make an appointment.

Came in because its one of the very few places in the area that do the new powder dip gel tips. When the woman found out I was in the middle of moving (the reason for wanting extra protection on my nails) she gave me 3 coats - which made my nails super thick! Id definitely go back.

I don’t usually like to leave reviews, especially bad ones but please save your money and time by avoiding this salon. I paid $50 for a dip manicure which is $10 more than I usually pay and my nails started chipping within 5-6 days. Dip usually lasts 3 weeks on me!! When I went back to have them repair it, they told me I would have to wait 2 hours to get the one nail fixed..mind you there were only 2-3 other customers in the salon when I went in. I asked if they can let me make an appointment to have it fixed and they said they don’t do appointments for repairs. Honestly just save yourself the headache and find a better salon, one who values customer service cuz this place is a complete joke!!!

Madelyns has such a great environment. Their service is impeccable and very professional. I highly recommend for corporate events with small groups or walk ins. Conveniently located in Ogilvie.

Definitely the best nail place Ive been to. I pretty much gave up after having negative experiences at other salons, but went here based on the reviews. Very clean and professional, much better than anywhere Ive been in the burbs and Gold Coast. The people who work here also seem to enjoy working with customers and are intelligent. And the manicure can last up to two weeks.

Still following my tech Daisee best in the business I tried others but has not worked out. Spot is intimate they get job done and it doesnt take all day. Most importantly for me, no harsh smells. Definitely recommend make sure make an appointment.

We were in town 2 weeks ago for my son’s wedding and 4 of us had our nails done. They were very nice and did such a great job! 2 weeks and my polish still looks good!

Best manicurist ever!!! She is amazing!! She gives the best mani pedi out there! I feel like she works very efficiently and cleans the nails really well! Best foot massage too a must visit nail place you wont regret it.

Ive been going to Madelyn Nail Spa for almost 2 years for their dip manicure. I have had great experiences with every technician! I love that they truly take their time and are perfectionists. Ive tried dip a few other places and have regretted it every time....Ive even had to have the team at Madelyn fix what others have done so poorly.

Clean, quick, a little pricey, but worth giving them a try. I needed my nails done in a crunch and they came thru batting a 10! My nail tech was super awesome. I forgot her name though....sorrry!

I really wanted to like this place for proximity to my home. They were nice at the beginning, being new business and all, and then they changed. Most of the technicians are nice there but some are just money thirsty and gossip the minute client leaves. I always see Daisy for my dip, but I cannot take her negativity anymore. She talks how mush people tipped her or make fun of them, she would say how she doesnt like people who are having cheaper/faster services as its less tip for her, I mean who talks like that?? Also, I never had perfect nails, hence I do the dip, but after going to her my nails became even shorter and worse than they were before. I am going to another place right now and everyone are super nice, my nails are finally recovering as well. I would stay away at least from her if you absolutely need to go there.

Really nice place. Fast and very sweet even to a klutz like me who smeared the polish 5 seconds after leaving the chair.

I have been here 3 times. First, for a regular manicure and it lasted 5 days. The lady was rude and not gentle with my hands. Second time, I got a no chip design and the guy did a great job. It lasted 2 weeks before it started chipping. The last time was a no chip. Same lady as I had for the regular manicure. She was rude and pinched my fingers hard. Her thumb nail left marks in the sides of my fingers and my hands hurt until the next day. It was the worst experience I have ever had. The no chip lasted 3 days before the first nail chipped.

Had the most wonderful experience here today. They managed to squeeze me in for a pedi and dip mani. The staff is so friendly and funny. I saw Susie and she was amazing. Will def be back!

I have been to just about all the nail salons in the loop, and Ive finally found my favorite. This is a hidden gem inside the train station. All of the women do a fantastic job and genuinely care about their clients and their work. Even though the space is small, its bright, cheery, and clean. Unique in-season colors beyond the typical OPI, Essie brands carried everywhere. They even play Netflix 😊

Hey everyone I am giving this place one star because my service cost me three times that of everyone else having their dip nails done at the salon not once but twice and honestly during my second visit I literally arrived early meaning I got there at 4:30 and did not leave until after 8pm because even though they insisted I arrive at 5pm they snuck me in in between clients not to be nice but because they LOVE MONEY SO MUCH!!!! Truly they do not respect YOUR time because three weeks ago I requested an appointment for Saturday and said I could be flexible and stated I only wanted FIVE nails done and two nails made up with nail art. I was kept on hold and they had me talk to Daisy who I think is very courteous but very very greedy. For five nails I was charged $65 and gave Daisy 70 because Daisy and the other women here claim that because my nails are so so so long they have to take too much time to make sure my nails are perfect. Did I like being there a total of close to FOUR FREAKING HOURS to get five nails dipped? Truly I ended up going to a different salon two days ago and it took the nail tech less than thirty minutes to do two of my nails to have the dipping powder removed with acetone and some filing and then to have the acrylic done to make my nail much stronger. My first visit here was about a month ago and when I arrived I had no idea what I would be spending but I had the shock of my life the first time when Daisy soaked my previous nails off which is my real nail bed with just dipping powder overlay and then she charged me $115.00 so I tipped her $30 since she did do nail art on four of my nails. What I do not like about this salon is they like to bad mouth the work of prior nail artists. I do not hold any resentment towards my prior nail tech Vanessa who used to do my entire set of dipping nails with beautiful nail art on four or more nails for only $65 at revive nail spa in Wicker Park. I guess Revive nails had too many clients wanting Vanessa and I was a new client so got bumped off the list. I had told Daisy this and she simply made fun of Vanessas beautiful work saying that my nails were all misshapen and the nail art inferior. Daisy also suggested jokingly that i should book a full day of spa services at revive nails as a way of getting even with them!?? So I am going to say that after my first visit here to this salon just one week later some of my nails were already starting to lift. I had to visit a different salon to fix the nails that Daisy did not properly work on. I am sorry but this place really is a rip off because the second time I got here I did finally ask all the clients sitting down having services what they were charged and they said anywhere from $35 to 45 altogether yet I was charged 115 the first time I came here and 65 the second time I came here for only five nails? Daisy drew on a panther for me the last time which took her maybe thirty minutes and I did love the drawing but I never want to be treated like this ever again. I dont make a ton of money these days in fact business for me is feast and famine and these women here had me wait from 4:30 pm till past 8 just for FIVE NAILS and because they had me wait with the acetone eating away at my brittle nails to kill time. They never once asked if I was okay to stay this long but I ended up losing a ton of work opportunities and declining business on a Friday so thanks so much Madelyn Nails. You value money much much more than you value human beings and their feelings. I was never once offered water or a drink because they never offer you water or tea here there is nothing here served. You are just a thing a commodity to them. There is also no bathroom here ....if you need to use the ladies room you go all the way down the escalators and take a hike! This place is getting high reviews but they do not deserve it and I wont be back. Also I wish to add here that the owner or manager here named Linn chose to badmouth me because I did have the courage to write the truth. Linn insinuates that I harassed customers at her nail salon!

Had great experiences here. Staff are incredibly thorough and will care for your nails without damaging them. And on top of that, they show Friends on the TV so you’re basically laughing through your mani/pedi.

Best nails salon I ever been! Two stylists worked on my pedi/mani. They were super professional and focused on every little detail! They were having problems finding right color but that wasnt a problem to me at all. I better spent a little bit longer time than to get something I really dont want. I got both gel pedi/mani plus glitter powder for $112 including $25 tips. This place becomes my new favorite nails salon for sure.

I had the worst experience at this nail salon with the owner Linn. My appointment was at 12:15pm and arrived at 12:10pm. I noticed that she had taken a new person to work on (probably a walk-in), obviously they do not honor appointments that are already in their books. I waited for a half-hour until she was finished but Linn told me she was too upset to do my nails and wanted to upset to do my nails and wanted to cry, because I made a comment to her hurry up Linn when she was working on the woman she had taken instead of me. Another time I walked in for my appointment and was told that Linn had forgotten to put me in the book. I was going to this place because it was convenient (at the train station), but will never step in to Madelyn Nail Spa again.

Had dip set done here last week. Didn’t even last a week and my nails started popping off. I’ve never had dip pop off! Also it was the most expensive dip manicure I’ve gotten and it didn’t even last two weeks. Not satisfied and annoyed.

If you are ok waiting over 50 minutes for your appointment set days in advance, then this may be the place for you. I usually do not mind if the staff is then apologetic, but I was made to feel like they were doing me a favor—did not fully understand that one. The other reviews discussing professionalism are 100% true. It sucks that staff is so rude because location is so convenient.

These ladies are running a great business. Ive been in three times and they are consistent. They welcome all customers with warmth that you dont find often. They are friendly and easy going. I always make an appointment but every time Im in they get walkins that they are happy to accommodate. Today when I was in their shop they got a walk in for a pedicure and the lady had to catch a train in less than 45 min. The techs assured her they could have her out the door in time and they got to work on her right away. They definitely want all of their customers to leave happy and it shows. They guarantee their powder dip manis for two weeks and are happy to fix any little thing that may have happened like a chip or crack. They are located in the oglievie station so plan accordingly

Went in for just a polish change, paid $25 including tip and the next day half of it is chipping off. They do not use salon brand polishes.

Visited last week with a girlfriend for a full set and I kind of felt like I didnt leave happy and the manicurist just sort of did whatever they wanted. Prices are a bit high but the salon seems clean.

Nice ambiance. Great knowledge of their craft & awesome at what they do.
