After two weeks, my pedicure and no-chip manicure still look awesome. If you like to relax and sip a little bubbly while having your hands and feet pampered, this spot in Old Town is perfect. The ladies there took really good care of me. I used a Groupon, but plan on returning even at the regular price.
First time getting a my nails done. Something different for a date. Great staff & malisa was wonderful had her work cut out on my feet 🤣. & they serve drinks 🍸. They get a 💯 in my book
Highly recommend! Staff is wonderful. We had an event here and everything was perfect!
Polish and Pour used to be a great place! The chair massagers worked and someone managed the desk and calls other than your technician. The last few times I have been the massagers on my chairs have not worked. This is something I really look forward to. During my latest regular pedicure and manicure there were only two technicians. Mine was in charge of the front desk—check ins and check outs and calls. My entire pedi and mani were constantly interrupted because of this. And the price for a regular pedi and mani have been raised to $65.00!!! I think this is outrageous. Just around the corner is Zero 2 Nail Spa. You can BYOB instead of paying the up charge for a drink at Polish and Pour. Ziggy runs the desk and floor like a pro and you have the full, uninterrupted attention of your technician. Cooking shows are on the televisions (although I prefer P&P’s Sex in the City) and the cost of a regular pedi and mani is below $50.00. Oh, and their chair massagers work!
This place is amazing! A fantastic day/outing with the girls. You can make a reservation here and its BYOB! They also have a bar with cocktails for purchase as well. However, there is a cool grocery store right across the street should you need to pick up a bottle. They also have a cute little garden seating area so you can enjoy your cocktails while your nails/toes dry. Its a bit pricey but a must try with the girls for sure!
Called & made an appt more than a day in advanced for 630pm. 630pm because they said theyre busy the other times I requested. Showed up on time. Double booked! I said you should have called me. They said nothing they can do now. They double booked minutes ago. What? How does that even happen? Even the lies are weak. They said I can come back tomorrow or wait around for an hour. So they can rush the job as itll be their closing time when they get started? They didnt seem to give a care. Too late in the day to book elsewhere too. Disappointed is an understatement.
Amazing! Lovely people, lovely atmosphere
Had a great time and very friendly staff
Been going here regularly for about a year. I’ve never had a no chip manicure last me more than a week and a half, before I started coming here. My no chip literally does not chip and I can go 3-4 weeks before coming in to get my nails done, and only because they start looking over grown. Quality of polish is amazing, and my nails remain fairly healthy underneath. The staff is kind of quiet, but I’m more than happy relaxing and watching sex and the city while I get my nails done instead of making small talk. Overall I highly recommend this place for a no chip mani, and it’s well worth the price.
Best manicure I’ve ever gotten. Staff and my technician were super accommodating and wanting to make sure I was happy with my color choices. Will definitely be making future appointments.
Clean, cozy and great service
Had such a great time here. Went here with a group of 10 girls and we all loved it. Such a friendly staff, clean atmosphere, comfortable chairs, and great quality manicure and pedicures. My names are still flawless 2.5 weeks later!
The staff and experts at Polish and Pour Old Town are so friendly! They are very attentive to detail when doing manicures or pedicures.
Hands down the best nail salon in the city. They really take the time to provide you with stellar service and a quality manicure. Even my regular (non-no chip) manicures last me a week. Not only are they stocked with a full bar, but they are constantly playing Sex and the City on the TVs.DISCLAIMER: This is a nail salon for Adults. Dont bring your kids here, make them turn on cartoons and ruin the experience for the rest of us!
Polish and Pour is my favorite salon. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating and my nails never fail to look wonderful. Their No-Chip polish is excellent. I have tried a few other salons and found that the polish never stayed more than a week before the chipping began. My No-Chip manicures from Polish and Pour last 2 weeks minimum before the polish begins to chip. My technician is very knowledgeable about all the products and colors and I consistently get positive comments from people, including strangers. Its always nice when someone standing next to you says I love your nails!
I was in for a bachelorette party. We had made reservations beforehand for the manicures and open bar package. First of all, all the employees were so slow and incompetent it was like they have never done this before, much less have it be their entire MO. There was so much confusion about who to put where, service was incredibly slow, and the environment was hectic and stressed, almost like we hadnt booked this literally months in advance. Secondly, and most importantly, almost every employee we interacted with was super grumpy and rude, especially the receptionist / bartender (also they really needed to have separate people for that job). Any time we asked her for anything it was like parents asking their 15 year old daughter to take out the trash. I dont remember the last time I saw anyone roll their eyes before this. You can clearly tell she hates her job. For being an open bar package, in almost two hours we were able to flag her down for one drink in the beginning and one at the end. Nobody bothered to check on us or ask if we needed anything. Also thought it was weird that I asked to pay extra to upgrade to a gel manicure and was told they couldnt do it due to time constraints??? Which is bizarre because gel manicures take less time than standard manicures. Whatever. We came in a super happy easygoing group of people and left dissatisfied and miffed. One star was for my manicurist who was actually sweet and also for the fact that at least they had sex in the city playing to kind of distract from the total incompetence and grouchiness .
Worst pedicure of my life. I think maybe it is a hit or miss here since the other reviews are so great. My experience was terrible. The girl was really rough pushing my cuticles down so much that my toes actually hurt. I requested to pay extra for a 10 minute foot/ leg massage, and she did a horrible job and didnt even do anything but awkwardly rub my feet for 5 minutes. Another employee actually had to tell her she had to do it for another 5. Again really awkward. She also painted my nails like a 5 year old. She spent the last 5-10 minutes cleaning around my nails to remove the polish on my skin.....never again. i am really disappointed because I was looking forward to this all week and it seemed like a good place, but I think it is a real hit or miss with this one.
I love it at polish & pour. Everyone is so friendly & a great level of skill. If u want a cocktail or a glass of wine p&p has it.
Everyone was friendly and they did an awesome job!
Was lil hesitant at first from reading reviews. But I give 5 stars! Traci is amazing! This chic has a great vibe! She has a customer for LIFE!
Katherine was my tech, very nice and attentive. Nice atmosphere, Sex and the City plays in the background, you can drink wine and champagne while getting a mani/pedi. I would definitely visit them again.
Awesome concept in Old Town! Full service bar plus nail salon! Great services, great drinks. Perfect for bachelorette parties or just relaxing with some wine!
I had a terrible experience. I went with my SIL for her and a few of us bridesmaids to get our nails done before her wedding. First of all, the place is nothing to write home about; no special experience whatsoever, the drinks are not free (which most places are and should be), some services are overpriced, the nail techs were not friendly and pushy, they did a terrible job (polish on cuticles and thick globs of polish), I have 4 cracked nails and 5 chipped nails with gel polish after only a few days, and they charged an automatic group fee with ONLY 4 people. I literally paid $100 to get regular polish on my toes and gel on my fingers...and didnt even get a manicure experience, just painted my nails...no massaging my hands or anything. Then on top of it all, charged a no show fee for a few others who couldnt make it, claiming this is the policy that you sign with, yet nobody signed to agree to it. I would never recommend this salon and will never return!
No chip paint, chips in 3 days. After week the polish starts to peel back at the tips of my natural nails. I gave this location two tries and the $40 for no chip gel is not worth it. Technicians are not very engaged when you try to talk, just that awkwardness of silence lol never had a problem getting a walk in appt. Ill keep looking.
Gel isn’t worth it, very unfriendly staff.
We came in from another state for a bachelorette party and were super excited to come here since it has a full bar and seemed like it had a cool atmosphere. My friend was suppose to get a callous therapy pedicure thats an extra 30 dollars. It took the same amount of time as my classic pedi and they did all the same things except put a skin softening solution on her feet. They were still super rough and when she asked the woman if she could file a little more she acted really annoyed and put out. The manager had to beg another woman to do my pedicure because she didnt want to because of apparent back issues. She was really rude and kept making comments about how long it was going to take and how I added on a foot massage. I understand what its like to have a bad day at work but I felt like crap and it was so unprofessional. We could hear them talking about us and how they didnt want to do the services. I couldnt believe it! We werent being rude or anything! Then they tried to get us to pay a 10 dollar gratuity each because we were a party. There were only 4 of us. Thankfully the manager gave us 20% off because of our poor services. Its nice inside and the drinks were good but It was really disappointing based on what we expected.
I made a reservation here for my best friends bachelorette party and confirmed the reservation several times. I made the reservation months in advance and when we showed up, the lady acted as though she didnt even know we had a reservation. She only had 3 stations open (I had reserved 5). So 2 of us waited out front for other stations to open up. We did not get our services together like we had planned. I didnt find the staff very friendly and certainly not accommodating. Would not recommend this place for reservations as youre treated like a walk-in.
Had a good classic pedicure. There is a need to pep up the atmosphere a bit but overall very satisfied.
Loved the mani padi I got from here. It was pretty relaxing and my nails looked healthier. The mani padi lasted longer than I was expecting.
Pedicure only lasted 10-15 mins. Hardly rubbed your legs. Drink service slow. Didn’t receive drinks till after pedicure was over. Would not recommend.
Hands down this is my favorite mani /pedi place in the city. The spa is always clean and inviting and the staff is great. Special kudos to Melissa who always does a fantastic job going beyond to make certain my experience and my mani / pedi is perfect.
Love this place. Ask for Tracee, love how she does my nails :)
Ive been to the Streeterville location but now Old Town is more convenient. I had a mani-pedi with Catherine. She did a great job. Shes friendly and professional. The salon is comfortable and calm - especially if you come early. Monday and Tuesday is a $40 mani-pedi special. I plan to go there once a month.
Favorite nail salon! Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.
Listen, I have never left a review in my life--- on ANY place. But, Literally the worst pedicure Ive ever had. So overpriced and zero effort. Luckily for them gratuity is included or else they wouldnt have received anything from me. I look forward to my pedicures and regularly OVER tip my girls but this was just pathetic.Awful, awful place.
Terrible serviceTried to enforce a contract cancellation policy yet we never signed anything or were made aware when we changed our group numbers about the charge. Technicians were pushy about picking colors after repeatedly saying we were waiting for The other bridesmaids to arrive to decide
This Place Is Customer Service Is Very Lacking.... The Fact That They Only Have 1 Acrylic Nail Tech Is Laughable.... How Can You Run A Business With 1 Nail Tech ???? Isnt This Place Suppose To Cater Too Wedding Parties ???? And While Im At It My First Visit I Felt Like I Was Scammed, They Offered Me A Mimosa Without Telling Me That I Had Too Pay For It And Then I Couldnt Even Use My Gift Certificate To Pay For It..... I Doubt Ill Deal With These People Again 😒😒😒😒
Staff was extremely friendly.
Hostess was anything but friendly. Made what could have been a good experience bad.
Took forever, had an apt, they biffed it
Good service.
Full bar!
