Caitlyn is literally THE BEST! I used to go to the old location on Michigan ave, but moved neighborhoods and was having trouble finding a salon I like in river north area. So happy with their new location!

Went to get my nail fixed and the pictures speak for themselves. Left thumb is the original that I got done at a different salon, right thumb is Tivvy. Only went here because it was closer than the original salon. I dont understand everyone talking about the atmosphere. It was quiet with no music. Idk who my nail tech was but she was not friendly nor seemed experienced.

This is my new go to nail salon. Caitlyn did a beautiful job on my full set acrylics. Her shaping is exceptional and even more she was fast and efficient. I didn’t have to sit there for 90 mins and they’re the best set i’ve ever had done. I couldn’t recommend this place more. I will certainly be back.

Inconsistent service. I get a gel manicure that lasts 3 weeks, the next time I ask for the same service and it only lasts 6 days before chipping. For the prices they are charging, my nails should at least last 2 weeks. The one good technician is rude af unless youre her personal customer; the other technicians are very nice, very sweet, but... here I am with 3 nails chipped after 5 days and another nail lifting off. The inconsistent service does not warrant these prices.

My favorite mani in the city. Always always go here for my gel/no chip manicure! Best color selection, fast, and easy to book. I love Caitlyn so much. The new location is gorgeous! Would definitely recommend!

Ok this is by FAR that best nail salon I’ve ever been to. Their work is impeccable and the atmosphere is super fun. They seriously saved me from embarrassment… definitely going to find time to go back! Thanks again!! :)

Best dip manicure in chicago!

I’ve had a hard time finding a great nail salon in the Loop, so I’m very excited to have found Tivvy! They do a great job, very thorough. And they move pretty quickly. I recommend making a reservation in advance- they can get pretty busy so they may not be able to accept a walk-ins. Their prices are reasonable AND they take venmo! I love this spot and will definitely come back.

Had an appointment and they kept me waiting 15minutes after my appointment. Showed her pictures of what I wanted, she told me “no” to several things and said it wouldn’t look good. Didn’t get the colors I wanted. The nails were pretty and quality was good, but I didn’t appreciate not being able to get what I had in mind for a very special occasion.

My friend and I called to see if they accept walk ins. We were a couple blocks away and decided if they don’t that’s okay, we’ll stop for a drink somewhere instead. We we’re delighted they did “at the time”. We found the place easily after instructions per phone call. We were welcomed with smiles and laughter. It was off to a good start! My friend knew the exact color she wanted for her pedicure, but since it was spur of the moment I wanted to find a color that worked for the dress I was wearing. Well, a girl announced out loud she wanted the one that wasn’t high maintenance, because I didn’t decide fast enough for them, which after all they weren’t ready to seat me yet, so yeah I will take this time to find a polish I like. I thought it was a bit rude to say. Okay, so I have a sense of humor and just go with it. After I asked how the massage chairs work they pulled out a separate back massager and my friend didn’t like where hers was placed. The girl that placed it said you can move it. I joked and said “And I’m the high maintenance one?”. My friend and I continue going along with their humor. During which, I noticed they didn’t turn on the foot bath jacuzzi, so they were either not working or they don’t use it. We are done and told our pedicure was $45. Okay, not a problem. They are in downtown a nice space on the second floor, makes sense. Next day now, and I decide to go find their website to make an appointment for a manicure and find that we weren’t offered anything to drink like they mention on the site, rose petals in the foot bath “which is the price we were charged for” were not involved during the pedicure and we weren’t offered a choice of non toxic nail polish which states on their pretty website. The pedicure without rose petals should have been the lower price, which states $25. if you don’t offer rose petals to the bath, then you need some website updating or better yet, mention it to the client. Well now being left feeling like my intelligence was insulted and taken advantage of with the pricing following the reading of their site and reading other reviews of their other specialty treatment with past clients. It was a let down in my eyes. I am disappointed in the respect and hospitality that was lacking on our time there “my friend & I noticed the overall rudeness throughout the appointment”, you’ve undone the chance for my return. I appreciate them accepting walk ins, the view, sarcasm and sassy talk, but don’t underestimate someone’s intelligence. Honesty is the best policy, girls. 😉

Tivvy Nails is amazing! They have the best dip powder manicures and spa pedicures! It’s convenient to pop in after work since they are in the loop (you must have an appointment) also that’s how you know how good they are! If you need a specific color, nail art, for anything advanced - Caitlyn is the best!!!

Don’t go here if you want long nails!! they said they couldn’t because they’d “break”. long nails are just out of their expertise, but for short nails, i would recommend

Been so long since I got a pedicure. What a nice way to return to self-care. This joint is on Michigan Avenue, right next to Chicago Athletic over the Bank of America. It is a bit dug into the building but once you find it, you’ll be so darned glad you did. The view from the pedicure chair (Millennium Park) was on point and allows the client to just drift off. My pedicure is beautiful and has been for the past 3 weeks. The technician (forgive me for forgetting her name) was so personable, so fun. A clean space, distanced clients and I was able to pay via Zelle. You’d think finding a good place for a mani/pedi is easy in a city the size of Chicago but it ain’t. Find a clean, friendly, affordable and really good nail salon and you stick to it like y’all be sticking on falsies (side shade). I’ll be back for sure.

I’m a regular at Tivvy and I love it. A very clean salon with really experienced technicians. Caitlyn does my dip nails and she’s the best. Very meticulous and her attention to detail/memory is great.Everyone should come!

Best manicure I’ve ever had. This woman is awesome. I got a pink ombré and she recommended the ballerina shape and it turned out great. She’s nice, intelligent, and easy to talk to. Overall it was a really pleasant experience. I wish I lived closer so I could come here every time

I went here because its close to my job, yes everyone was nice.$45 no-chip I couldnt complain because I didnt ask for the price first and its downtown so what ever ill take my L. But I got these done last week Friday. And wow for some reason I cant make my nail chip failure picture public on this post.

Caitlyn is the dip manicure queen in Chicago! I’ve been going to her for over a year, and I can honestly say that she has made my nails way healthier than I ever thought was possible. It’s well worth the money for the excellent service and always perfect results - Caitlyn or any of her nail technicians would never let you leave feeling otherwise.

I have been to Tivvy Nails three times and it is now my go to nail salon. Since moving, I have been looking for a new salon. I’ve tried several in the area but their dip manis never turned out well. I actually drove out to the suburbs for a nail salon that I knew could do a decent dip mani. FINALLY, I found Tivvy. They are always accommodating and if they have space they squeeze you in. It is super easy to schedule via calling or texting. You can also pay via Venmo. Can you think of anything easier? The best part about the salon- their customer service and kindness. After one visit, they remembered my name and know I enjoy reading during my salon visit so they offered to grab my kindle app right away. The connection and importance of making their customers feel welcome shines through! They have a HUGE dip color selection and I get lots of compliments on my nails.UPDATE: I went back to Tivvy for the first time since the pandemic. I missed them! I got a regular pedicure and a dip mani. Caitlyn was (as usual) kind, welcoming and wonderful to talk to. The salon was clean and I felt safe. The back massager was amazing. I picked a color for my toes and I couldn’t find an exact match for my nails. I didn’t mind because they have soooo many color options. Caitlyn offered to do a combination of colors to make sure I got what I wanted. My nails are beautiful. They always take their time and nothing ever feels rushed. If you want to go to a salon to enjoy and relax, this is the one. Try them out.

Best nail salon in the city. You don’t sit in silence unless you choose to. The girls are so sweet, friendly, and extremely skilled. They are attentive to detail and truly care about their clients.

After not having my regular pedicure and waxing done, since March 2020 based on the Pandemic, I was able to find that this business was opened. Not only do they take calls over the phone to make appointments, but they have a full menu with booking appointments right there online. I scheduled myself for my usual which is eye/lip waxing and something new called a Jelly Spa Pedicure. The Jelly Spa Pedicure price point was a little higher price point than I usually pay for a Pedicure, but I was curious and decided to try it so I went ahead schedule myself for one. The day of the appointment came and was a little confused on how to enter into the shop. Security person at the desks stated that their doors our at the back to enter into the spa and not the doors you see when you get off the elevators. I went in and their were two technicians working that day, one was the owner Caitlyn and her assistant Daisee. The place was clean and so were the bathrooms, the services was prompt and the two women were very friendly. I was told by the owner that the spa specializes in Powder Dip Manicures and I will probably end up trying this service the next time I schedule an appointment. On the other hand, The Jelly Spa Pedicure was something out of this world and It was the highlight of my day!! You have to try it at least once to get the feeling I am trying to describe about THE JELLY SPA PEDI. It was relaxing and felt really good on my feet, it gave a smooth and soft feel to your feet, heels and legs. They use nothing but organically made products which worked well for someone like my sensitive skin self!!! Like I stated earlier the spa is fully serviced and offer many services including waxing, nail tips and nail art. My eyebrow wax was done very nicely and I was pleased overall by all services including Caitlyn polish choice for my toes. If you are in the downtown area and are seeking a spa where the technician are professionals and fun, good quality of services for the dollar and a place which is clean than TIVVY is the place to go.

I was looking for a place close to work, and I was reading the reviews of places nearby. Tivvy Nails was the only salon with stellar reviews. I had to see if the hype was true. I am happy to report, it is!Caitlyn does a great job with my dip manicure. She takes her time and it really shows when my manicure lasts 3-4 weeks. I have to go see her more frequently because I am vain and don’t like when my nails grow out, but when I can’t get in, the manicures totally last. I highly recommend Tivvy to everyone I know.

I have been coming to Tivvy nails for over a year now for so many reasons: 1. I have never had a better dip manicure. Caitlyn is truly an expert and has transformed my nails. I have never had long nails in my life before coming here to see her, and people dont believe me when I say they are my real nails! 2. Caitlyn is so accommodating and welcoming. Her personality and ability to connect with people stands out. Even if you are a brand new client, she will always call you by name which makes you feel like a valued customer. She makes scheduling so easy and always does her best to fit you in! 3. The salon and tools are very clean which is must for me in a nail salon.If you come to Tivvy nails, you wont regret it!

First time I had ever gotten a pedicure, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I thought they did a great job! They were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was clean and relaxing.

Clean professional salon with manis and pedis that last! Tivvy is hands-down the best nail salon Ive been to - excellent sanitation with discarding tools after every mani/pedi, super clean floors that I couldnt find a speckle of dirt, fresh organic scrubs made by the owner, nice hospitality with complementary glass of white/red wine, nice selection of Essie nail polishes and found a new sheer color with silver glitter, and topped with a coat of friendly service. This is only salon that Ive been to that doesnt have that classic polluted pungent chemical smell. A nice breath of fresh air!The $60 classic Mani/Pedi deal is well worth it in the Loop! Its the nicest salon downtown. My classic Mani lasted for over a week while my Pedi looked like new after 10 days. Maryanne did a phenomenal job and didnt rush through my mani/pedi. She even went the extra mile to help me put my heels back on. The girl next time to me got a stunning Umbria Powder that was truly a work of art by the owner.The owner, Caitlyn is quite talented with a fiery and witty personality. I couldnt stop laughing at her amusing jokes and stories of nightmare clients. She really takes pride in her salon and using the highest quality products. It truly shows as its the nicest and cleanest salon Ive been to in the country.The salon is really difficult to find, you cant spot it from the street. Youll see a bunch of decal stickers on the windows Fuga Salon on the 2nd floor of a corner office building. Thats where Tivvy Nail & Spa is located, they share salon space with Fuga. Youll have to enter through a small unassuming door tucked on Michigan Avenue, sign in at the front desk, take the elevator to the 2nd floor, and walk to the back of the Fuga salon. 10 minutes after navigating through this labyrinth, I finally found Tivvy and well worth the hunt. I wish there was a sign for Tivvy outside, would be so much easier to find!For the 1st time, I found a mani/pedi to be truly relaxing and a wonderful experience. Will definitely come back when Im in town and looking forward to another dose of Caitlyns stories!

Honestly the best dip manicure I’ve ever received - and they really take care of your nails rather than drilling them too far down and damaging them! My nails always last at least 3 weeks.
