This place is a scam my car needed a new water pump and thermostat and I paid these people 400$ to fix it once they was finished, my car began to leak coolant. I took my car back 3 to 4 time and it seemed to get worst everytime I got it back. So now 1 week after I get my car back from them it wont start at all

Scam artists 100%… what they do is swap other parts in your car for bad parts.. they did it to both my cars.. young broke fat punks

This place was fair, honest, and fast.I took my car in for a few small things and they helped me get a ride to work. They showed me what they fixed, and they even partnered with the shop next door to get my car detailed. Thank you a thousand times for making the experience so great. Very fair prices!!

I have been to Davids on many occasions. Transmission, muffler, breaks: my old car needed it all fixed. I am happy with the entire process from the quote, the price of parts and labor, and the customer service. This last time I came in to fix the brakes but there were many other issues with my car (the hood wouldnt close and at night the dash board wouldnt light up). The mechanic fixed the brakes and all the little issues with the car. This made me feel like a thorough inspection was completed and it was a little something extra they didnt have to do. Davids Auto goes the extra mile and takes good care of customers! You wont be disappointed when you chose them for servicing your car.

They performed a cheap A/C inspection and recharge including UV dye with a quick, on-time turnaround. Still blows cold four months later.

I have taken my car to Davids 3 times now. Each time David explains what is wrong with my car, and what I need to have done to fix it. He will tell me what I absolutely need to do, and also, things that I might want to do now, or maybe later. He prices are reasonable. He completes the work in a timely manner, and within the time frame that he tells me. He understands that I need my car! The shop is clean and organized. The mechanics are friendly and helpful. He appreciates my business.

I took my car to Davids for an oil change and they were AMAZING. Tony gave me a great deal. Since then, i have gotten breaks, a new starter and a few other things done at Davids. The service is awesome, my car works great and i was very happy with the price. While Im sure the whole team is amazing Mateo and Tony are my guys! I highly recommend Davids auto. I wont take my car anywhere else.

Tony provided excellent next day service on a large repair project for our car. He even helped us locate reputable vendors for the rare transmission we needed. I would definitely recommend getting your car serviced here and you wont be disappointed!

Ive been serviced here twice now and it was a great experience. Ive been cheated by mechanics before and I was nervous to try somewhere new but Tony gave me a great deal and fixed my car for the lowest cost he could. I was there about 2 weeks ago after my catalytic converter was stolen and he was able to fix my car no problem. Im a college student with limited funds and Toby is super reasonable and tries to help you the best that he can. I will definitely be a long time customer. Great shop!!!! I definitely recommend bringing your car here!!!

Rip offs! I own a Dodge Charger that I took in to get fixed and they fixed it but they broken something else (that Was already working) just so I could come back! THEY WILL FIX WHATEVER YOU WANT BUT BREAK OTHER THINGS JUST SO U CAN COME BACK! Never again!!

Honest work. Inexpensive. Had basic maintenance done (oil change, fluids check) as well as a patch for a tire that picked up a screw.

This was my second consecutive oil change with them, which unfortunately will also be my last. They didn’t replace the push gasket when they changed my oil. I called them two days later after I noticed oil all over my driveway. They were nice enough to come pick it up a half block away at my house right away, fix the issue within an hour, then return my car. They also attempted clean the oil off the driveway which was nice. My issues are: 1- they didn’t replace a part that clearly needs to be replaced on every oil change the first time, 2- they never once offered an apology or discount for the inconvenience, 3-the pretended as if this was a normal occurrence and they had no way of knowing this would happen, and 4- they didn’t offer me a refund or discount on my next service in return for my continued business. I’d give them 1 star but they did clean my driveway without me having to ask. I’ll take my car to VW to have them inspect everything just bc I feel like they can’t be trusted to not cut corners, especially when they were in the wrong and seemed very displeased that I even confronted them.I’m not a hard to please customer at all, I just expect that simple jobs like this are done correctly and consistently. Also, if you’re wondering, my car is a 2017 Volkswagen GLI with low miles. I had a 07 GLI before for 10 years and I never had this happen to that one, even after the 275,000 miles I put on it.

My experience at Davids Auto was absolutely excellent. Im so glad I brought my car here, over the years Ive been to several nearby auto shops too. I was being quoted absolutely ridiculous figures by nearby auto shops (e.g. $400 across the street at G&R auto and $250 down the street at Good Year). Good year even had my car for 5 hours to look at the issue and didnt even try to resolve it until I could agree to $250 of service. David took my car in right away and resolved it in 15 minutes – he didnt even charge me! I would trust David with my car, in terms of both quality of service and price. Its the kind of place you can get a straight answer for your questions and good solution for your car.

These people are scammers. They said an Emissions test cost $100 when it only cost $20 in Chicago area. After I said that I dont have $100, they asked me to pay $45, mind you this was only after they made recommendation and did not even do the emissions test. They are not an authorized Emissions Inspection station. I wish they were upfront about the truth from the beginning, they would have gotten a better review from me. Avoid this place at all cost! you will only waste your time and money if you ever go here.

I went to Davids Auto to get my oil changed, a front end and rear end differential, and my transfer case oil changed. I wish I could give this place no star because theyre complete scam artists. I was told that my transfer case is going bad when its not, I was told that my transmission is going out because it drags a little longer from 2nd to 3rd gear but itll probably last years like that considering its been driving the same way for the 5 years Ive owned it and its still running the exact same way and plus its an older gmc yukon denali 2003. I was told that my water pump was going bad and that I was leaking coolant and oil and that I would probably need a radiator. Now mind you that I only drove there from the south side because they accepted my credit card but my shop out south had just checked underneath a couple of days before Davids Auto and did a complete inspection and showed me where my oil leak was coming from but according to Davids Auto I needed both valve cover gaskets and oil coolant lines. Word of advice is to stay away from shops like this unless you have a personal relationship with them and actually know them or theyll try to stick it to you.

I’ve been roadtripping in a 1982 VW Deisel Westfalia for the last 8 months and as a result of my personal experience consider myself to be a pretty good judge of mechanics and auto repair shops in general. I woke up in Chicago to a cold morning and tried to start my engine. No dice! Tried for a few hours before finally admitting I had a problem. Did a quick google search. Found David’s and spoke directly to him. After explaining my problem, he agreed to take it right away and see if he could help. I was able to tell him with some certainty that it was glow plug related since I’d been through everything else already and that was the only thing that hadn’t been repaired or replaced on the trip so far. David was true to his word. Took it in, found the faulty glow plugs and had the parts delivered and replaced within an hour. He runs a tight ship and was polite and professional. I was happy to have the hic up, hopefully my last one, dealt with as painlessly as possible. I highly recommend this shop. It’s legit!!

I was not pleased at all. I had to go to another mechanic and pay again for a service I paid Dave’s Auto to do.

I hade my engine put in my suv but then the next day I was at work I just turn on the truck and 2 sec. Later my Suv set off on fire and I almost lost my life all cuz of the owner of Davids Auto and his team. Dont ever go there in your life very bad place to get your car fix. Unless you want your car to burn or just break down the next day!!!!!
