I used them for work on my car and I was impressed! I have had an issue with my suspension for almost 6 months and no mechanic could figure it out. Im writing this review on the same day that Mike at Keil completed a repair on my 2010 Acura TSX.My cars front passenger window suddenly stopped working on my ride home during lunch and was left completely down. As I dont have garage parking, I have to rely on street parking and did not feel safe leaving my cars window completely down all night or longer.In need of a local mechanic, I found Keils from a quick Google search and am very happy that I did! I took my car to Mike who diagnosed the problem and gave me an estimate for the repairs. Unfortunately, Mike also informed me that the required parts were not readily available and encouraged me to search online for a OEM replacement to potentially find a suitable option.In the meantime, Mike agreed to provide a temporary fix to get my window back up so that I can safely park my car on the street. Mike provided this fix all on the same day as he knew my urgency.I cant thank Mike and his team enough and will be coming back for the full repair as soon as the parts are available. I highly recommend Keils, Mike and his team!

Mike and his mechanics are honest and awesome. My parent’s 2005 Toyota Highlander was making some noise I never heard before under the hood and the engine light came on. They diagnosed the problem, the truck was running on no oil, which explains the leak in our driveway. They ended up replacing the oil pressure sensor. Thank you for saving my parent’s engine. Things could’ve gotten worse. Definitely getting all of our car’s fixed here. Appreciate you.

Had to find a new mechanic as I moved to the area recently and found Keil Automotive. I just came in for an oil change and as they inspected my tires they found a nail stuck in the tread and they fixed it for a great low price. He had good advice for keeping the car running and look forward to working with him for years to come.

I went there for the first time on Thursday January 21. Thus place was referred by a good friend. My had a break fluid line bust, my car was undriveable. Met with Mike and right away I felt like he was going to be an honest guy. He gave it to me straight because I have an old car. My car was fixed, but told me of potential other problems that might come up. What he charged me was so reasonable. I am positive I would have been charged 3 times more somewhere else. Ill be going to him forever.

Still my go-to place to get my car repair/maintenance done. As of writing, this was during the COVID-19 restrictions. The waiting area is small, but if you dont mind that and the no-frills of this place, definitely check out Keils! Mike is the best and he is very professional and well-trusted. Ive talked to customers there and one person drove an hour away from Indiana to go to Keils.As Mike is a great and trust worthy mechanic, this place is ALWAYS busy, so call ahead to get an appointment. What makes him so trust worthy is that he wont have you do a repair that isnt needed. For example, we were concerned about our brakes and in a span of a year, he would tell us we dont need to replace it, you got a few months, and then when it really came time, he said yes, you definitely should now. When I asked him whether I should be worried about oil dilution on the new 10th gen Honda 1.5L turbocharged GDI engines, he said theres a lot of cars nowadays that have GDI, and that I shouldnt have to worry about it too much, and to just enjoy driving it. I cant argue with that.Much like the waiting indoor area, the parking lot is somewhat small, so expect to park on nearby Melvina side street, or expect to play a little car musical chairs at times. Mike also has great temperament; a customer was hastily backing up her car, playing musical chairs, and almost sideswiped Mike. Without skipping a beat, he helped her diagnose her Check Engine light right afterwards.If youre in the northwest side of Chicago (or even if youre not) and youre looking for a really good mechanic, definitely go to Keils

Mike is the owner of Keil Automotive he is NOT professinal, Ive bad experience at this shop 2 times, first time when his guys replaced my brake, next day I drove my car when I applied my brake they were so spongy and the car take long time to stop.and second time I went to his shop to fix my car but when i try to explain to him my car issues he told me wait and same time he start talking to someone else just came after me to fix his car, so I left his shop and never go to him. (treat your costumer fairly ).The prices not the best comparing to local mechanics.Also Mike never tell you if something else wrong with your vehicle, Also he’s not the best mechanic either

Great service and no overcharge. They can gently explain the problems and dont try to make money on you. They can explain in details. If you have been told to change the whole parts in different locations but they can advice wisely the problem. Sometimes the parts in good conditions and function well. They can advice not to change the whole parts and waste money. I recommend this place. You wont regret.

I have been to probably more than 20 different shops throughout my life and this will be the last one I go to unless I move too far away. The owner was very honest and thorough about explaining the problems. I got my front and rear rotors and brake pads replaced at half the cost of what couple of other places quoted me. Please stay away! I started going to Keil about 2008 after a friend recommended it. They are honest, affordable, and do good work. Problem is, since I started going to Keil, it has gotten busier and the waiting time has become longer...I miss the days when I use to walk in and feel like I was the only customer.
