After 5 years, “Luxury” may be a tad of a stretch for this property. Unit renovations are a joke. Corners were cut during renovations and management signed off. The hallway carpets are stained and decor looks like it hasn’t been touched since the early 2000s. I’ve found cockroaches twice inside my apartment. Management is sub-par and likes to mansplain away issues that are brought up to them in a very condescending manner. However, most of the front-door staff are wonderful (George and D specifically) and the maintenance crew is very friendly as well. Overall, I wouldn’t waste your time - there are much better locations in the south loop.
Lived here for a year, only moved out recently. Loved it. If we werent switching to a work from home life style I would have stayed longer. The maintenance was always incredibly quick. The view I had of the lake was amazing and I know Im going to miss it. Everyone in the building was always super nice and helpful. The location is fantastic, grocery options close by, lots of great food places to check out. Its not right in the middle of downtown so its a little more quiet and not loud all the time. Roosevelt stop is literally a 3-4 minute walk and theres bus stops right next to the building, so if you do want to go somewhere, public transit is not an issue. The location is also a 15 minute walk to the Lake/Museums close by. 20 minutes to the fountain as well.My ONLY complaints:-Sound level during the day. Theres constant renovation going on in the building between 10am-2pm. If its happening on your floor or above, you will hear it and it will disturb your meetings if you work from home. It doesnt last for the full 4 hours, only an hour or two, nor is it all the time but it was enough to bother me.-I found a waterbug/cockroach in the apartment once. It wasnt a big deal because they have people who come spray the place every week and they just came through and did it. Didnt have any problems after that.-This is a little nitpicky but I thought the gym is a little small. It can get busy pretty quickly so there isnt a whole lot of space, but if you go at night/early in the morning there usually are very few people around.Overall, loved it, will always recommend it.
This was the most unprofessional leasing office that Ive dealt with yet. Honestly just sad how they deal with people.
DO NOT LIVE HERE! It’s absolutely the worst management I’ve ever dealt with. WE FOUND AN ACTUAL HISSING SNAKE in my bedroom at 2am and all management did was say they will figure it out. We were mortified! We were soo terrified we couldn’t sleep for weeks after that. Also, this is a section 8 building which they don’t tell you and have the audacity to charge the prices they do. The smell of weed is everywhere and there’s so much noise through out the building AT ALL HOURS! We can never sleep because someone is always fighting. The walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING from all neighbors. The only nice thing about this place is the front desk staff and the parking staff. Don’t let the views fool you. Its not worth it!
Great!!! Love the building. Move in was easy. Great maintenance team. Dog friendly. Affordable rent for a great location and clean units. Only downside is not being able to control AC AND HEAT. thats the one thing I would change. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
1130 is the best place to live in downtown. Location is beautiful and support staff are friendly and professional. Service quality is top notch. Best apartments you get for the rent we pay in prime downtown location
Well me and my girlfriend went for a viewing. Saw an apartment we fell in love with. Agreed to do the application. We were told they had concessions by the leasing agent. Because of their lack of communication and explanation of the process we lost our concessions. Management didn’t care that it was the leasing agents fault. While the leasing age t tried to blame us. And then they still tried to have us take the apartment even though it wasn’t what we agreed upon after our viewing. The leasing agent went from being nice at the viewing to, being rude on the phone after the problem accrued. They do not know how to relate Important and crucial information to their potential customers. 👎 Wouldn’t be surprised at the fact that they can’t close a deal. There are better units with better amenities in other building near by. I would avoid this one, and looking at other reviews. The leasing company has taken a turn for the worse.
Great location, reasonably priced, newly renovated. Apartment is spacious well maintained, and quiet. Common areas include pet walk, pool, gym. Pool area is beautifully landscaped and includes grills and outdoor seating. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
ElevenThirty is a great building. Although there were some unhappy experience before, they did everything they could to make me happy. Not like other high rise buildings, eleven thirty is more like a community. The staffs are always attentive and helpful. When every time I come home, they’ll greet me. If you request the maintenance request, they act really quick and help you resolve the issue. The leasing office and management office are highly professional but warm-hearted. I still remember the first time I had issue with eleven thirty, Kevin(property manager) told me this goal is to make every resident happy and they’ll do everything to makeup even release me from my lease. That’s a big consideration for resident, and of course I would not miss this kinda considerable landlord. There are also a few issues.First, the pet issue. If you like pets, eleventhiry is the heaven. The concerns is that some pet owner didn’t tie their pets, and sometimes their pet will jump into you.Second, noise issue. As a muti family building, eleven thirty residents are pretty diverse. If you neighbor is young and want to have fun at late night, you can ask building staff to send a notice. If your apartment is going to face west. You probably will be wake up by trash truck in the morning, but I thing eleven thirty is doing their best to arrange trash truck comes after 8am.Third, bugs. That the biggest issue I had with eleven thirty. Some units haven’t renovated, water bugs are easily showing up. You can request an extermination and seal some holes. Or they can transfer you to another renovated unit when they have the availability.Overall, eleven thirty is a fabulous building. If you want to live in a building called home, this is the place.
We are relocating out-of-state with heavy hearts as we have called 1130 home for the past 6-years. We will miss our time here at 1130, and each person that made it special for us--including Dwayne welcoming us home, Ned providing the best maintenance, and Marcos, Z, and Quasam’s positivity each time we see them in the garage.1130 always responded to our maintenance requests in a timely manner with resolution. We have enjoyed 1130 amenities like the gym, pool, cabanas, grills, and party room. We also REALLY enjoyed our in-unit laundry!Being in close proximity to public transit, grocery stores, parks, museums and Lake Michigan were the reasons we chose 1130, but the ultimate reason we stayed for so long was the 1130 community and staff. Thank you 1130!
Pros: location (except during Lollapalooza), staffCons: you will never sleep- anytime there is so much as a breeze the building creaks so loudly it will drive you mad and of course it is loudest in the bedroom, earplugs are needed! The newly renovated units look great but are poorly constructed- kitchen countertops arent attached to the base and there are visable gaps between them which has since resulted in a crack in my counters, wood floor panels are shifts from the walls, 1 elevator seems to always be out of order or unavailable.
Could be quieter
Lived here for one year. The apartment and location is great. But the staff in the leasing office is super super terrible!! They welcomed you when moving in, but had no respect or patient when moving out. They couldnt admit the words they said and had really rude attitude. I recommend bring a record with you when talk to those people.
The venue management team is super unprofessional and coming out looking racist .I dont want to just come out and state that they all are but they definitely moving sketchy over there.I booked a reservation for the rooftop months prior to be told the DAY OFF, that it was a liability due to our guest. They knew what we we where setting up but they waited to very last minute, when they saw all our minorities involved to cancel the event all together with no real reasons or explanations.Screw this whole building, book somewhere else and assure your location. This place is too risky
Lived here for a year. Excellent city and lake views! Living room design is more spacious than other buildings in the South Loop. Management, leasing office and lobby front desk are all awesome! Great amenities. Plenty of stores nearby (Trader Joes next doors is a big plus). Bus stop right in front and Roosevelt station a block away makes commuting easy. Probably the best priced units in South Loop
I live in 1130 S Michigan Apartment for almost five months now. So far so good!I love the Christmas Holiday Party the D&K office held at December. Food is great. And the raffle game is one of bonus for us. It was really fun. Hope there are more social events for the residents in the future.
I love our apartment, location, and the amenities are great overall. The only problem that I have is the doorman that works the evening shift (around 4:00) during the week. He has been very unprofessional over the phone and in person. Hes rude and never speaks when we enter the building. Ive seem him greet other residents when they enter but has yet to do the same for us. We spoke with the property manager about it but it seems like they are making excuses for him because hes been a long term employee with the company.
Twelve months ago, my wife & I were moving 500 miles to Chicago to experience a different type of lifestyle. We had a lot of criteria for our future apartment, and we luckily came across 1130 S Michigan. Im not going to lie. The OLD reviews of this place werent all that good so it made us a bit skeptical at first. Im happy to say none of those have shown to be true. This place is ridiculously well priced, and a majority of the rooms have a great view too. Theres a wonderful 24/7 exercise room, and the best part of everything is that theres a dog deck. Thats HUGE for us dog lovers, especially in the winter. The only downside is most of the apartments dont have a washer/dryer hookups - just a central washer & dryer room on the mezzanine floor. Its not that bad. You cant get EVERYTHING you want in an apartment so you learn to deal with it.Due to their fantastic referral program, we have 2 friends, after finding out the size/price of the apartments, already looking to move in to this place. Its really helpful that its only 2 blocks from the train too! Maintenance has been solid for us, and the staff is really nice. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
I lived at Eleven Thirty for a little over 2 years and just moved out so I’ll do my best to give a detailed review about this place. The first thing I can say is that living in a high rise is not for everybody. It’s essentially like living in a hotel. There are hundreds of apartments all around you and you can hear every little thing your neighbors do. Everytime you need to go outside you need to wait on the elevators. Despite the fact that there are 6 of them, there will be times where you’ll be waiting a while. Some amenities are amazing and super convenient, like the dog run, dog spa and the gym. Others are completely useless, like the wine cellar and the bocce ball court. Haven’t seen a single person use that bocce ball court in 2 years. The pool is nice too but it closes at 9PM and the employee who closes it always had an attitude and was rude. While we’re on the subject, let’s talk about employees. Most of them are super helpful and very nice. They welcome you when you walk through the doors and make you feel at home. However, there’s been a few that weren’t pleasant. Specifically if I had to walk past them with my dog as they were cleaning the floors or the windows. I always apologized and took big steps to minimize my footprint but they definitely seemed irritated.Which brings me to the biggest issue I have about this place despite what they say: IT IS NOT DOG FRIENDLY. Management might be dog friendly, but the community isn’t. Having a dog at Eleven Thirty has been the biggest source of frustration. I’ve been refused access to elevators by residents, it has happened about once a month or so. We pay a hefty pet fee and people have the audacity to keep us from using elevators. Unacceptable. I reached out to Management and they pretty much said they couldn’t control how residents behave and couldn’t do much about it. On top of that, irresponsible dog owners have brought their aggressive dogs to the leash free dog run resulting in unnecessary fights. Having a dog there is a source of headaches because of how unwelcoming the community is of pets.Last but not least, the neighborhood. Eleven Thirty is in a phenomenal location, at the heart of everything that’s happening. St Pat’s Parade, Thanksgiving Parade, Chicago Marathon, Lollapalooza, etc. It’s all happening right here. The walk to the lake and the Museum campus through Grant Park is beautiful. In the summer though, expect to see A LOT of homeless people. They set up their tents in Grant Park, sleep on the ground, and even on statues! Not the best experience so it’s something worth mentioning. You’re close to the Roosevelt train station right off the Red Line which is very convenient, but once again, this station is a hub for homeless people who seem to have found a home in this place. And the police does nothing about it.Overall, Eleven Thirty would be a good fit for a specific category of people which I’m not a part of. I struggled calling it home and wasn’t a fan of the lifestyle within the building and the neighborhood.
The door person who worked on Sunday, May 1, 2016, around 3:30 p.m. was extremely rude and hostile. We had parked our car in the attached ramp for the weekend because we were misled into thinking it was the parking area for the Best Western next store (thats a whole other story). When we went on Sunday to retrieve our car, my son and husband (who recently had shoulder surgery and was lugging around a huge sling) sat down in the lobby only to have the door man tell us that sitting in the lobby was akin to sitting in the persons living room. When we told him we were parked in the garage and were trying to decide if we should get our car or walk some more. He told us we should know where we are going and to get out. NOTE: This lobby is the only way to access the parking garage that we knew. When my husband asked to speak with a manager, the very hostile door man said No. When my husband asked for his name he said None of your business. Then when we spoke with the parking attendant, he told us that the luxury suites and the parking garage were not affiliated so he could not help. Really?!? When you share the same entry way????? He could not take our complaint and pass it along?
As a licensed real estate broker, I am attempting to find some resolution with the leasing office employees. My clients live in the building, and we are currently under contract to purchase their first home and are breaking our lease, and looking to sublease. Something I do not advise anyone living in the building to do, as you can pay up to 3 months rent if breaking, and likely more fees, along with dealing with the not-so-lovely staff in the leasing office.Dealing wth this leasing office is truly one of the worst experiences in any business dealing I have ever had. Of the two women who work there, one is totally incompetent and rude, and the other, I believe her manager, is neither of those, but totally unwilling to help or care in any way.We finally found a willing, able, and capable tenant. The next step is to meet with the unorganized leasing office, which kept her waiting 20 minutes in the lobby because they were late to open. They then started hitting her with all the fees that would be associated after renewing the lease, rental increase, and office processing fees, as well as move in fees, which would have totaled over $3,000 over her sublet and renewal. They obviously are doing their best to rack up as many fees and charges, as this is how leasing agents, not brokers, prey on other peoples finances to make a living.Im sure any future prospective tenants we find will get the same treatment, and my buyers will be stuck paying a hefty sum, or killing the deal on their dream home.My sentiments were seconded by multiple doormen and staff. Obviously my clients also, who are pretty enraged and stressed by the whole situation. The building is nice, many things are getting renovated in an older building, but as a real estate broker, I would advise ALL my clients, family and friends, to look elsewhere for any rental needs.
Moving in experience with signing the lease has been great, will update as I go.
My complaint is not about the apartment building but the parking garage (so if the two are not the same company I can delete this review). We were visiting our friend living in next building. He bought parking tickets for guests and we wanted to use it. When we claimed our car, a worker said the ticket is not valid because there was a special event so that we have to pay $40 flat. Since we didnt hear anything about this, we wanted to talked to the one who is in charge They said there was no manager. But when we called the number on our parking slip and left voice message, the guy who we talked first said that he is the supervisor (not the manager). But this guy didnt know anything about the policy or regulation. All he could say was that there is a rule or regulation that guest pass cannot park in special event. Then I asked how do the residents know if there are special events. He said the residents who bought the ticket must check with them every time. Ridiculous! If this is your policy, can I see the written policy? I asked. The supervisor guy said there is no written document. (Later he shifted his nuance saying that he didnt know whether there is a written document or not). He said he was told this was the rule. While he was talking to my friend who bought the ticket on the phone, he asked did you ask us about this policy when you purchased parking tickets? Ridiculous!!! YOU gotta explain the policy especially when there are exceptions! Of course my friend didnt hear anything about this policy when he purchased them. How he managed was very unprofessional. He didnt give me his name nor his managers name. He just said that there are his names and the managers name on board. Then he walked away saying he is off of the day and we gotta pay $40 first no matter what.We had to pay $40 for parking an hour! I have to visit next week to talked to the manager. All the workers and the supervisor were very unprofessional and didnt have enough knowledge about their jobs and very rude to their customers.
Building is great. The staff is really helpful and friendly. Taking away 2 stars because management controls the heating and cooling. It is always hot inside the apartment.we were cooking with 80 degree weather inside yeh apartment it was really hot! When we complained to the management their solution was “open the window”. Well it’s downtown Chicago and it’s so noisy so it’s not a practical solution. This aspect takes away from “luxury” living. There’s nothing luxurious about sweating inside the apartment
I was looking for a corporate apartment and found this location. Emily took care of everything from showing the unit to working with the office on all the extra paperwork required for a corporate deal. The building is in a good location. All of the doorman are very professional and pleasant every time i see them.
Management does a great job quickly resolving any issues that arise. Things happen, and sometimes go wrong, but it’s good to know the building takes care of its residents. Spent 3 years living in this building.
I enjoy the awesome mix of people, the building emphasis on knowing your neighbors and how they reserve 10% of the apartments as affordable housing for elderly renters who want to remain in the neighborhood. The door staff is so sweet, always remembering small details and Rose, who manages the dry cleaner, package receiving, is one of the nicest and most helpful people around.
Im sharing this as a person who just moved out, full disclosure.I genuinely enjoyed living here. The door staff especially are just lovely, particularly George, Duane, April and Ted. The location is fantastic. The building itself is nicely kept up and maintenance is great. There are a lot of great amenities that I never used, like the pool and gym, and various activities to get to know your neighbors. The 5th star was eluded for 2 reasons.I moved in with a dog, paid the very high pet fee, and abt 3 months later, they cut the dog deck in half. This made the already crowded dog deck worse, which ultimately meant we stopped using it. So many big dogs dominated the place, and it was not being kept clean. My dog died about a year ago, so things may have improved, I havent checked. Im just still irritated about that. The second thing was that I had an 8 month lease that I renewed for another year. Rent was raised when I renewed and then again significantly for a second renewal. Between the rent being raised, and some things like internet no longer being covered by the rent, I would have ended up paying abt $300/mo more than when I moved in less than 2 years previously.I have moved to a rental unit a few blocks away, that includes a balcony and a parking space, heat, a/c and internet/cable for the same rent I originally paid here.I would have stayed if the rent had remained the same. Because it is a truly nice place to live, esp if you are new to Chicago.
My wife and I have been here for about a year, and we couldnt be more pleased. The Y-shaped building allows for some truly amazing views -- our units are particularly spectacular (>180 panorama in our living room, full view of the skyline as well as Lake Michigan, see the summer fireworks perfectly, etc). The location is pretty awesome too. Its next door to Grant Park & Trader Joes, near several more grocery stores and a Target, a block from the L, and a quick walk to most office buildings in the loop.Weve had good experiences with management and staff too -- maintenance requests are met quickly, emailed questions are answered quickly, and the doormen are excellent. I hope we can stay for a long time.
OK, time to revise my review. Short version: overpriced.Initially, the rent I was paying was excellent for the space and location, even factoring in the older building and ancient oven. However, it turns out that your initial rent is made artificially low by large rent concessions. This allows them to raise the monthly rent a lot in the second year without violating city restrictions on how much of an increase is permitted. If youre looking for a one-year lease, you should be able to get a good price, but plan to pay a lot more in subsequent years if you stay.
Just moved in here and I absolutely love it! The gym just got remodeled and its probably the best apartment gym Ive had. The pool is opening soon and I cant wait! THe staff is very friendly. The door man is very helpful and always ready with a recommendation for dinner! I feel very safe in this building. And you cant beat having Trader Joes right behind the building!
Since I have only lived here for 2 weeks, it is hard to make a comprehensive review. Though, in my 2 weeks I have had no problems. The one defect in my room was fixed right after reported it during my initial inspection. I have dealt with only friendly and helpful staff. In my search I mainly looked at 4 different high-rises in south loop: Sky55, Park Michigan, 1401 S State, and here. I will say all have their horror stores of bad management and fees on move out. 1130 had, what I could see, the best overall ratings of the 4. (Close with 1401, but didnt want to feel like I was in a concrete bunker).Again, I have only been here for a couple weeks, so will probably update overall experience upon move out.
Great building with amazing amenities. Awesome staff also, Martha is the best!
Ok, same problem with the bait and switch on the rent - suddenly concession is gone and the rent popped very high. But that aside, this is a great place to live. Beautiful views, quiet, I NEVER hear noise, amenities being improved as we speak, great management, resident parties twice a year. Convenient to shopping, el, everything, but not in the middle of it. The management staff has been unfailingly polite, considerate and willing to do what is right. Maintenance staff is stellar - they usually respond to a complaint within the hour. Door staff is great, they make you feel recognized and welcomed. I love it here, hope I can stay a long time.
I just moved in a week and a half ago and so far its alright. The amenities are nice when you actually get to use them. The gym and the pool are great, but the pool is only open from 9-9 which I dont understand at all. I already signed a waiver that if I die on the premises its not the apartments fault. Just let me use the pool. What if I want to get in a work out swim before work or go for a night swim? Most apartment complex pools that I know of at least close at 10. Another issue I have is that the apartment complex turns off the air all the time and puts it on neutral mode so Im paying $2000+ a month not to have air conditioning. I would just open the window but it gets hot when the sun comes up. I like the apartment layout and the appliances are good minus the fact that we dont have an ice maker while some other units do. We have 5 closets which I love because I need them. The doormen are extremely courteous and helpful. The location is pretty hard to beat. You could throw a rock at anything you might possibly need. We also get a bunch of discounts at the places around here which is nice. Overall the apartment complex feels like a really high end dorm with a lot of rules and a lot of control placed in the hands of the apartment instead of the renters.Edit: I’ve lived here for 4 months now. The mailroom is a disaster and they lost my package. The mailroom woman has lost packages before but she usually finds them after a day or two. Also, in response to the response from the owner “neutral mode” doesn’t supply heat (unless my heat is broken because I just tried to turn it on) so the city ordinance has nothing to do with it. It just blows air that’s neither hot nor cold, hence neutral. You’re not supplying heat (or air). “From September 15 through June 1, the temperature inside a rental residence is required to be at least 68 degrees from 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM, and at least 66 degrees from 10:30 PM to 8:30 AM.” It’s 73 degrees in my apartment right now. I think you’d be fine leaving the air on when it’s a low of 59, which it is today and you have neutral mode on. It’s a low of 57 tomorrow, which like you mentioned is “in the 50s” but a high of 85.Final edit: I’ve lived here almost a year. I’m glad the lease is almost up because I hate this place. They fixed the package room. It’s now accessible by key fob 24/7 and it’s relatively organized. I haven’t lost any packages since this update. I’m still hot. Management is terrible. I feel like just a number not a person especially now that I turned in my notice to leave. They came into our apartment to close our windows without our permission or a 48 hour notice which they considered an “emergency” and as I’ve mentioned it’s hot. There was so need to close the windows as there was no risk of our pipes freezing. There is no privacy here. The wood is warping on many of the cabinets. They don’t repaint the entire walls when someone moves out so there are weird spots. Also they painted dust and grime into the floor boards. The stove and oven don’t heat evenly. The dryer takes hours to dry clothes and the washer and/or dryer make my clothes smell musty. Maintenance has come to look at it a few times and replaced one part in the washer that was moldy so I don’t know what the issue is. I guess they’re just old. Also, the washer and dryer are in the middle of my closet so it’s hard to access any of the clothes in the back. Be wary of this when choosing a unit. Can’t wait to move out.
Its a nice apartment. If the toilet equipment make a level up would be great.
HORRIBLE RUDE leasing office staff. Overpriced apartments!
The maintenance here is great. I mean, best of any place Ive ever lived. The doormen/women are friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic. But, Im taking two stars off for lack of dog friendliness. The advertising still says 3,000 sq ft bark park. They just cut it in half.Dogs arent allowed in any public spaces in the building except the dog deck, so if you want to enjoy the pool area or other deck space, leave your dog in the apartment. If you run down to the business space to print something, dont take your dog. That all would be liveable if they hadnt cut the dog deck in half to make room for... wait for it... A bocce ball space. Tons of dog owners needing to exercise their dogs. Big dogs and small dogs all together. The dog deck is in constant use. Remains to be seen how often people are playing bocce ball.In short, if you have a dog, find a different place to live. Paying a $400+ dog fee for the cramped conditions isnt worth it.Also, be aware if you have guests over on the same day as a special event such as a Bears game, the guest passes will not be accepted by the attached parking garage, and instead of a $20 fee, it will be $45 event parking.
My son and his wife have lived there for many years.
Great community living. Management loves dogs!
I have been living at 1130 S. Michigan since January 2015, and I love it here! The location is pretty amazing. It is right in the heart of the Loop, and is surrounded by pretty much anything you could need. Jewell Osco and Trader Joes are right next door. Target and Best Buy are both pretty close by. There is a good selection of restaurants near by. I go to Columbia College, and most of my classes are not even more than a few blocks away, which is perfect. It is right next to the Roosevelt El stop with access to the red, orange, and green lines, and its also next to bus stops for several different lines, so if you do need to get out of the Loop, travel is very easy. The apartment itself is nice. I live in a studio, and it is not one of the upgraded ones, so its nothing too special, but I am very happy with everything here. While the upgraded look would be nice, the two things I really wish I had were a dishwasher and an in unit washer and dryer, but thats extremely rare for a studio, so its not like I am really missing out on those. The utilities package includes the Heat, AC, Cable, and Wi-fi Internet, so I dont have to worry about a bunch of utility bills. I really havent had too many problems in the ways of maintenance, but whenever I do have anything that needs to be fixed, the maintenance people are very quick to respond and take care of the issue right away. The amenities are really nice here, as well. There is a 24 hour door person, and the staff hired are always helpful and friendly. There is a package receiving room and a dry cleaning service. There is a gym that is open 24/7, and while it is lacking a few things, most notably a bar for the bench, and free weights over 50 lbs, it is a very solid gym, and enough that I dont have to spring for a gym membership somewhere else. There are several cardio machines - ellipticals, bikes, and treadmills. There are several upper and lower body machines. There are a solid amount of free weights and barbells. There is an open area for aerobics or yoga - and they have free classes of yoga and aerobics a couple of nights a week, too. There is also a great lounge room. It has a couple of huge flat screens, a pool table, and a shuffle board table. It can be rented out for private parties, and the management office actually throws great parties in there, too, which are free to the residents. The building is pet friendly, which is nice because even though I dont own a pet, I still get to see all the dogs coming and going! There is a doggy deck for those that do have pets, which I imagine is nice to not have to go far to let your little pal use the bathroom. The best amenity, though, might be the sun deck! There is a pool, grills, and cabanas, and all of this overlooks Grant Park. It is only open late spring through early fall, but when it is open, you cant beat it on a nice sunny day!Overall, I am glad I moved here when I first came to Chicago, and as of now, I have no plans to move out!
The very same utility package is now $20 more than what we used to pay, this includes the same slow 25MB internet.

BUYER BEWARE!!!A terrible and unapologetic management.Like many on here, I toured the building this past weekend and had a great initial impression of the building. The tour was informative, and the building amenities looked decent. I was strongly considering applying. They have a look and lease offer active, where if you sign within 48 hours of a showing/inquiry, you get the admin fee ~$400 refunded.Prior to physically touring, my family got in touch to inquire about available units and approximate rates over the phone. They were told that when we get emailed a quotation, it starts the 48 hour countdown. Fair enough.Only, they sent the email to the wrong address, and decided their due diligence was completed there and begun their countdown. They explained to me after my showing that due to this, I only had a few hours to make a major life decision before the benefits are removed.Later, when I try to reason with them that we did not receive any email quotation to begin with, they had the audacity to blame us -- the customer -- for not following up!Oh and watch out -- they try to brush the construction notices as being nothing too significant. But if you look deeper, in the Fall of 2022 they start exterior renovations that will generate significant noise, Monday - Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, until they finish their work.If youre working from home, they will not at all try to adjust to your needs, or be sensitive to your situation -- they have written as much in the fine print.Thank god for the people on these Google Reviews voicing their experiences. Had I not experienced it myself, I would have been swayed by the false platitudes of this predatory organization.
