From the get-go Sean took the time to talk me through what he thought the problem might be with my HVAC system, gave me options to consider, helped me choose one that fit my budget, and proceeded to work quickly to get his guys out for an install of a new system (my current one was 22 years old and wouldve cost more to repair than replace). I feel like he had my best interest in mind, didnt push me to buy more than I needed, and treated me like a valued customer. Ill definitely be using Hollub going forward, as long as they continue to provide the same level of service, quality work, and HONESTY, which seems to be missing from a lot of companies these days.

The phone representative was very knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. The technician came out promptly and diagnosed the problem (which confirmed our preliminary diagnosis). He had to return with a new fan motor and did so within a couple of hours. He was very professional and worked quickly to return our heat to normal.

We had an emergency with our hot water heater. They sent a technician the very same day to assess the problem, they installed a brand new water heater the next day. It has been working fine. Hollub is a good company to work with.

I have used Hollub Heating for over 15 years. I’ve had excellent service each and every time. Hollub installed a brand new furnace about 10 years ago and its running great. Their technicians are professional and many have been with the company for years; in fact Pat has worked my furnaces for 15 years. He was always respectful and takes time to explained the systems to the residents. The office staff is wonderful to work with also. I highly recommend Hollub Heating for all your Heating needs.

Thank you Hollub Heating, Inc. for not having traveling restrictions, unlike the company I purchased the unit from. Oddly, they didn’t have a problem traveling to my area to sell me their product, but coming out to service it was out of their district. Hollub sent a technician out the same day I called. The technician was courteous and professional.Thanks again for exceptional service.PS: I later received a phone call from Hollub stating that they made a mistake quoting my bill and to my surprise the amount was less than the original amount. NOW THAT’S RARE!!!!

Great company to work with; priced very competitively, great communication, and will provide options that consider cost, service life & efficiency. We have worked with Hollub for years and have been very happy with their service and professionalism. We definitely have recommended them to friends and family, and will continue to do so.Our furnace stopped blowing warm air over a weekend this winter and I contacted Hollub on a Sunday morning to see when they could take a look. I received a quick call back from the Owner after leaving a message with their weekend answering service. My tenant was OK with a Monday service call, however the Owner gave me some quick tips to have the tenant try to see if they could get the heat back up and running that day.I then coordinated with Sean Collins at Hollub on Monday and his team worked directly with my tenant to schedule the service call. After looking at the furnace, which at about 18 years old was pretty much at its useful service life, it was going to be a $1,000 repair on a furnace that might not last that much longer, or a furnace replacement. We went with the replacement after Sean pulled together all the furnace options and prices. Seans team then worked quickly with the tenant to schedule the work and get the new furnace up and running so they could have heat the next day. Hollub had to remove the water heater in order to replace the furnace, which was just as old as the furnace, however Sean felt that the water heater was still in good enough shape to just re-install it rather than replace it too, which was an appreciated cost savings. Since the water heater was older, Seans team installed an overflow pan and drain under the water heater so that it would not leak through the floor if it did start to fail in the future; an appreciated addition to save us from future headaches from damage to our condo or the condo below.Thanks Sean and team!

I was not treated as a valued customer. As I was speaking with a receptionist to reschedule, another person grabbed the phone from her and spoke to me as if I were a dog. He did not introduce himself and was extremely rude to me. I quickly utilized a good coping skill because he was verbally aggressive so I hung up the phone. This person made every attempt to bring me to his low level of communication. Whoever this person was needs to seriously improve is customer service, anger management, communication, and coping skills; he may be suffering from some sort of psychosis.

I was disappointed in their customer service and knowledge of my equipment. They claim to be a carrier dealer but, in 4 paid visits they did not repair my furnace. Upon me requesting a different mechanic they copped an attitude and failed to respond to my requests for additional service. Finally I had to go elsewhere.

The motors in my heating vents needed replacement and I called Hollub. We set up a service call and everything from then on went exceptionally well. The obsolete motors were replaced, the fans were thoroughly cleaned and now I look forward to warm winters ahead. Thanks so much to Hollubs Sean and Mike for their timely and responsive service!

Sean was great to work with. Very responsive. Our home is 18 years old, and we wanted to upgrade to energy efficient equipment. We ended up replacing two furnaces and one air conditioner. They did the work promptly and professionally and made sure we qualified for rebates from our utility company for the new units. Highly recommended!

Really great to work with. I live out of the Chicago area but own a Condo in the West Loop that was experiencing heating problems. I talked with them over the phone, exchanged information and then they contacted the renter to set up the service call. Everything was done very professionally, quickly, and the cost of the repair was reasonable. Will definitely work with Hollub Heating, Inc again when needed.

Hollub recently installed a new furnace in my condo. Sean helped me determine the best model and helped me see my options. He gave me a number of ways to approach the selection and seemed to always have my desire to be energy efficient and cost effective in mind. He helped guide me to a good solution. The installers were friendly and competent. They took great care in keeping my place clean by covering floors and cleaning up. They reached out to me as needed and did a great job.I would highly receommend them.

Honest and helpful. We were given the suggestion to change our filter and they saved us a service call. Changing out the filter worked and they even followed up the next day to make sure we were good. Definitely calling Hollub if there are any other complications with our HVAC!!

Scheduled an emergency service for my home before a big heat wave and was very pleased with the service. They were able to fit me in the next day, gave me a thirty minute warning to get home from work, and the technician was very nice, efficient and was able to fix the multiple issues quickly. I have used Hollub for over 25 years and this is the fourth furnace they have replaced for me - the first three were in a 3-flat that I owned and today was in my townhome. The blower motor on my 18-year old furnace could have been repaired, but I did not want to invest more money for a furnace that was at the end of its useful life. They laid out all the options - repair the motor, replace the furnace with a similar model, or replace the furnace with a more efficient, upgraded model - and the pros and cons of each so that I could make an informed decision. I chose the upgraded model and it was installed in less than 24 hours from when I first called them. They were responsive and worked efficiently to get my heat turned on on one of the coldest days this winter. After a few hours with the new furnace, Im pleased that I chose the upgraded model since it is quieter and heating my home better at a lower temp than my old furnace. I continue to call Hollub decade after decade because I know they will respond quickly to my issues at a fair price. Also, its nice to patronize a family-owned business.

Scheduled a cleaning of a furnace for a 4 hour window on a Weds. Received a call from dispatch saying that although there was still 30 minutes left in our window, and they had a man free, we would have to pay overtime to get the work done today. HUH??The woman replied that the tech already had an 8 hour day and that if we wanted to get our job done today, we had to pay him more. I said, that didnt make sense, and I definitely didnt want to pay more. I asked if he could be rescheduled for the next day. She said she didnt know and she would call me back. I said, I was waiting for them all day and that I want the first appointment the next day. She said that the best she could do was Friday. HUH??? Her attitude was the opposite of what you would expect a customer service rep to be in this situation. No apology, no trying to do whatever we can, just excuses like, there were storms earlier in the week. She then told me that she didnt need my management companies business and I should call someone else. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY WASTE YOUR TIME AND DO NOT TREAT YOU LIKE A PAYING CUSTOMER. THE WOMAN WHO CLAIMED TO BE THE OWNER IS RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL.

Hollab saved us 3k! We had a heating issue in our condo.We called Aircor because they had awesome reviews on Yelp. They came out to repair the heater, said a part needed replacing. They replaced it but it didnt fix the issue.We end up calling them back two weeks later. They said we need to replace the heater and it would run us 3k. We decided to get a second opinion.Called Hollub Heating because they originally did the work for our building years ago. They were super nice and there in less than 24 hours. They found there was insulation that was clogging the blower and removed it. Heater works amazing now.

My air conditioning recently died. I had Hollub come out and they told me the 25+ years old compressor was dead and they recommended replacing it. They also looked the furnace which was just as old. Even though the furnace was working they recommended replacing it since the technician thought the heat exchanges was cracked.Since the entire HVAC system had lasted about as long as they were going to I decided to replace them both. They provided me with several options in terms of pricing and efficiency. Hollubs pricing was extremely competitive with the other quotes they I received from other vendors.The crew for the install showed up on time and were very friendly. They also took great care not do damage my newly remodeled floors and walls. The crew did an excellent job in cleaning up after themselves, such as sweeping up after they finished.I have used Hollub in the past and will use them again.

I recently had someone from hollub take a look at increased banging in my steam boiler system. They quoted the work for the repair of a couple pipes and the replacement of a pressure device at just under $2k. The technician said the device was too powerful for the 2-unit building. Was that the cause for the problems? Hollub installed the boiler, so if the technicians opinion was correct then Hollub installed the wrong pressure device. Furthermore, in order to determine if the cost of this repair outweighed the potential conversion to a forced air system I asked the company to present me with a quote for the replacement. A couple months later, having yet to receive the quote for an overhaul, I received a bill for the tech to come out and give me the quote on the repair work. Ive called numerous times trying to understand why as an existing client Im being charged for a quote while also asking where my quote for the overhaul was. There was no resolve. I had no problem paying for the repair work or even the possible replacement of the entire boiler system, however I did have an issue paying for the quote. Today I called again and supposedly spoke to the owner. She was reluctant to do anything about the charge, suggested hanging up on me multiple times, said my payment history was spotty (which except for this bill was flawless), would not get the technician on the call to discuss and finally said the bill was going to collections and hung up. It doesnt make sense to lose an existing customer, a customer willing to continue requesting service, over a questionable bill. Unfortunately I will be taking my business elsewhere.Liked: Disliked:

We own a condominium in the West Loop and had problems with the A/C and a person in the building recommended I contact Sean at Hollub. We had to replace the condenser and coils which was costly however I had the opportunity to compare Hollubs quote with a friend in Michigan who owns a HVAC company and they were very competitive. The installation was done quickly and more importantly very professionally. I would highly recommend Sean and Hollub.

So the air conditioning went out in a rental property and my tenants called Hollub in September. They came out and filled the coolant. No issue there. The thing is I have a completely separate boiler system for radiators in my building. My tenants tried turning on the heat for the first time yesterday and it wasnt working. I went over to look at it first in hopes of avoiding another $500+ in emergency labor cost and discovered 3 wires were partially disconnected inside of the boiler. They were on enough to look like they were connected but were not providing adequate power.I called Hollub and spoke to a Shawn. I explained the issue and asked how that could happen. Shawn became very defensive and started blaming the tenants and said I was accusing them of sabotage. Up to that point I was willing to believe that there was a possibility that their technician made a mistake since he also couldnt locate the space pac that provides the air conditioning that was located in the same room as the boiler and perhaps started messing with the boiler by mistake. The inside part of the air conditioner unit is attached to the ceiling directly above their head by 6 inches fyi.After speaking to Shawn and hearing his reaction, Im convinced this was purposeful. These were male and female wire connections and are not worn out. Someone had to pull them off.I will not be using Hollub on any of my properties again and strongly recommend you avoid them also.

I had a bad experience this morning with this company, They came to my house to do the clean and check service for my A/C unit, They charged me $125 for the first 30 minutes and $60 for the next 30 minutes, the guy that came to my house was wasting the time at the beginning and then sprayed some water at the coil, they charged me $185 to waste the time and they said the need to come back later to finish the job.So I dont recommend this company They are scammers on their prices.
