I’ve been working with this company since early 2018, Tom was very knowledgeable he help me through out the year from being a responsible rental property manager always on top of everything of all the issues and was able to get a good return from my investment property. I recently sold my property with Tom as my selling agent he was able to figure out what needs to get done and what tempo we are facing with these crazy market. I was Very satisfied with his advice ending my selling journey swiftly he was able to close a top notch price for my property and exceeded above my selling price. I definitely will come back given the opportunity in the future, Highly recommended. Thanks again.

This is by far the WORST company I have ever rented with!! I’ve been trying to get in contact with someone since JUNE, it is now DECEMBER and I still haven’t gotten a response! These apartments ARE TRASH, and the maintenance don’t care AT ALL!! They will move you in without inspection ( I had a roach infested apartment). The communication is completely off!! I hate it here and will never rent through ANY GREENBRIER PROPERTY!

We had a faulty water heater. They had used some ceramic coating in an effort to have a “quick fix”.. The water heater sprang a nasty leak and we were told that “We should cut the water off”. We do not know where it was located.Fast forward 13 hours (water was leaking until about 10am). Maintenance arrives and fixes the unit. At this point our carpets are soaked and starting to grow mold. After a 4 day debate and being told to “work through it” we finally establish terms and the carpet is replaced. This was only done because we threatened to call the city of Norfolk. (I have text messages to prove it).Now there is mold growing in my closet and they are refusing to do anything about it. I have email confirmations as well as call logs.As of recently, we became wag walkers. (The service where you get paid to walk dogs.) We began this endeavor in order to finish paying our bills. A few days ago we were charged $300 per pet as if we owned them.Could be better. Communication is awful between the office and tenants. Well not even the office.. just David. Arrogant and cocky beyond disbelief. Mitchell has been nothing but helpful. So has the lady behind the desk. Your company needs a better face than David.. just saying.

I asked GREA for simple clarification on a real estate appraisal I paid $1,000 for. After 3 phone calls I finally got through to William Thrasher he was condescending, rude, and ultimately unprofessional when he hung up me. Not a company I would do business with again.

We had no A/C during summer time. Winter time we had no heat. Refrigerator went out for over a week so as a result I had to buy dry ice when I threatened that I wouldn’t pay rent that was when they finally came to finish it For years as a great customer we’ve asked for different repairs throughout my stay and they would either never come or would never answer the calls. They gave me less than 1 month notice before I had to move out even though I was willing to buy the house. The properties aren’t bad but this company isn’t reliable to their customers. And please noticed this company only response to bad reviews because they know they’re wrong. Instead of responding please improve for your future residents. BECOME RELIABLE!!

This place is awful. My son and his family have lived in one of their duplex buildings they manage for 2 years and it is old and run down. Water is coming from the ceiling and out of light fixtures, when you turn on the light switch in the kids rooms theres a spark. The plaster on the walls in the kitchen is coming off, and the kitchen counter has a crack from top to bottom we think because the counters are giving out? There are other leaking matters all have been reported to the office of this management and the kids we being told their out of town. Or their being told we will contact a contractor and get them out there soon. Again that has been over 6+ months ago. Today 4-27-2015 my husband stopped by there to talk with them. Again he was told their out of town and cant be contacted? The guy at the front desk wasnt helping my son and his family at all. My husband was about to loose his cool with the lack of interest for their renters for sure! There is something fishy about this property management and there is a serious lack of responsibility on their parts to keep my son and his family safe while they live in this duplex. Oh and I didnt mention there is a huge roach problem as well! So we have contacted the housing authority and the Greenbrier Real Estate & Appraisals, Inc. can try ignoring them and I have a feeling things will change for the better. This management is terrible . Do not rent from these people stay away.

If I could give this Property Management Company zero stars I would but google makes me at least give them one. Upon getting into town and going to pick up keys to our unit we were first informed they did not know where the keys were. They were going to come over to the unit with us and hope it was still on lock box but they were not sure because David the property manager said he has never been there so he didn’t know. I then had to remind him to give us our move in inspection forms because it was his lunch time and he was hungry . Never mind I just drove 15 hours maybe I was hungry and tired too. We were then told the owner had left a remote and additional keys at the unit. Upon opening the door to the unit I have never been so appalled in my life. Besides the fact the front door lock was barely functioning. They should be embarrassed to be in business. The place was so disgusting we went to eat to use their bathroom. When I called to inquire about the door lock and ask if the unit had been cleaned the response I received was “some cleaning had been done” and that we could change the locks if we brought them a copy and again yeah I haven’t been there so I’m not sure what’s wrong with the door. The refrigerator is leaking water and all of the blinds are broken. We still don’t have a key for our storage room after waiting for a call back from David on 3-15-19 that never came. We asked to have the washer and dryer removed before move in and it never was. We cleaned for 2 days so we didn’t have to live in someone else’s filth. I worked in Propety Management in Florida and I am just completely shocked a company would let their tenants move into a property like this.

They took our application fee. Never called to tell us we were approved. We waited, and waited. Finally we decided to call, we found out we were approved. Hours later they told us someone had put a security deposit down.They never called us to bring deposit.

My appointment was with David and he was becoming a no-show. I called his office and Mitch answered, I let him know I was at the unit waiting but David wasnt there, he said he saw me down in the book but I hadnt called in to confirm. I let him know I wasnt informed of a confirmation clause only that if I needed to cancel I should provide 24-hour notice before the day of the appointment and at least 40 minutes before on scheduled day. He told me with no uncertainties I was wrong and proceeded to restate with condescension, I then ended the call.

True blue slumlords.Absolutely the worst company Ive rented from. Incompetent, unprofessional, and rude beyond comprehension (especially David.)Save yourself some money and save your self from undue frustration.... Go somewhere else... Unless of course you want to give your money to a company the rents as is properties... Whjxh equates to taking your money and doing absolutely nothing for you.I couldnt stand it and broke the lease after 6 months.Hope this helps someone.PS I expect a response from the company but I do hope that they save their breath. But hey, everyone has to save face... Or at least try.

GREA has managed my property since October 2014 and we couldnt be more pleased with the service weve received. There has never been more than a month in between tenants and weve received our owner disbursements every month on time. Not only have we been properly notified and consulted for property repairs, but weve even been notified of potential damage from predicted storms. These guys are great!

These guys are good at what they do! The low rent rates drew me to them initially, but after living in one of their apartments for 2 years, Ive learned that they offer much more. First, the staff is always very nice and helpful. In the two years Ive lived here, the only issue I had was my AC dying on me in the hottest part of the summer. I called them up and told them what happened, and they said they would get on it right away. Within 30 minutes, their AC guy call me to set up an appointment. He even brought me a couple of fans to use while he waited for the part to come in.Everything said, Ive had a good experience with them, and plan on staying at my apartment until I am ready to buy a house.

I am renting from them now and Im not happy at all with how they do things and I got month ahead of me dealing with them. Area and neighbors is great!! But when I moved in the place was still dirty. Im talking about bugs, webs, dust you name it. There was a lot of stuff not fixed prior to me moving in and I mean A LOT!!! Well I put the stuff on the list of things damaged and called them back up to see if they were going to fix the things on the list. Before I say what they told me. All that stuff should of been fixed and clean before anyone moves in sny where. Ok!! These people in the office told me no and that I can fix it myself!!! I am not buying this place from them!!! IM RENTING!!! Who wants to buy and fix things while they are renting? They should of fixed it. I had to buy some stuff but its coming woth me when I leave!!! I got wholes in doors, broken blinds, nails holding doors closed because the door is to small, wholes in the floor, nails holding the cabinets when the kids can hurt themselves and told me they dont plan on changing them!!! Cold air coming in through the front door and Windows so its running my bill high!!! Light outside not working, man you name it i probably got something wrong with it that I got to fix myself. Please people I wouldnt refer them at all. Wish I knew someone or read the bad reviews!!! Oh I also forgot....their 24 hour emergency line...no one ever answers. Moved in and toliet was broke and couldnt get anyone till monday so I had to drive to a gas station to use the bathroom everytime!!
