My Fitness World is a great private gym for one on one training. The owner is knowledgeable and has the experience it takes to help you achieve your goals. The gym is the right size and never overbooked so it allows you and your trainer to have the space needed to workout. I highly recommend this business for those that are serious about trying to achieve their goals. Ownership is friendly and knowledgeable and goes out of way to help you achieve your goals.
I hadn’t done a push-up in 5 years due to rotator cuff injuries. When I met Brian he said I would do sets of 20. I laughed, gave it a shot and here I am writing this review. An exercise I didn’t do for half a decade I did in less than 6 months. Brian tailors every exercise to you. He works around injuries and targets goals you set. No one makes you feel intimidated, and there is nutritional support if you want it. I highly recommend the gym. The knowledge and support is worth every penny.
I have worked with Brian for a little over a year. This is the first time in my life that Ive actually enjoyed strength training. Brian works to understand your goals and develop a program to help you meet them. Ive increased my strength, changed the way my body looks, and more importantly, Ive seen improvements in my running. I also appreciate Brians friendship and his patience when I ask him a million questions about why Im doing certain exercises.

I was a college athlete and have been working out for very long time and I took the opportunity to work with Brian and it was a very valuable experience. I developed injuries over time due to bad form and was taught better techniques and more appropriate lifting programs. I would recommend working with Brian for anyone interested in personal training and improving their physical health and training methods.

I was one of the trainers here. I can honestly say that of all the studios I have had the pleasure of working with, this one is by far the best. It’s truly about the training, and putting the client’s fitness goals first. Brian is one hell of a guy when it comes to what a client needs. Need a program? No problem. Need a nutrition session? He’s got you covered. Need just one workout for a trip you’re taking? Say no more. He is so quick to offer help. Both he and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, practical, and honest. My trainer is Brian. He sets a great workout pace for me, customizes the sessions based on my needs and always inserts the right amount of variety...all without raising his voice.
I decided to start looking for a personal trainer about 18 months ago because I wanted to get stronger. I have a desk job and wanted to maintain and increase my strength. I found My Fitness World via Google and was set up with Brent as my trainer. All I can say is that the personal training experience at My Fitness World has far exceeded my expectations. Brent is a fantastic trainer that takes time to explain what we are doing and why. He also is very encouraging. I would recommend Brent to anyone that wants someone who will help them meet their goals in a friendly, encouraging manner. Also, the facility is always clean and well kept. Brian is the owner and he always speaks and checks on how things are going. I wish I would have found My Fitness World years ago. This experience is so much better than the feeling you get in the big box gyms where everyone is working out together. The individual attention is worth it. Great place if youre looking for a quality trainer. Brent was one of the most knowledgeable trainers Ive ever had. Brent concentrates on understanding, teaching, and overcoming any areas of weakness you may have. Who knew all the years at the gym, I was doing it all wrong! Went for a solid 6 months, and will be back again shortly. PS. Competitive session rates AND your employer may even reimburse!
Great experience here, I spent three months working on my fitness goals with Andrew with great results. The trainers are very knowledgeable and help you make a plan, which I still use today. I love it here! I truly cant say enough great things about Brian, the owner. I started going to him back in December and quickly saw a HUGE difference in my ability to run further and faster, which was my main goal. I also saw a difference in the way that I looked in the mirror and the way that my clothes fit. Unfortunately, I was in a bad car accident in January and had to take 2 months off from working out. Brian was awesome in being flexible with me once I was able to come back to the gym. He pushes me harder than I would push myself and motivates me to push harder even on the days that I dont see him. He has tailored a fitness plan specifically for me to hit my goals. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has any type of fitness goal.
Brian is great! We play competitive sports so we still need to compete at a fairly high level. He knows a ton and tailors our workout to make sure we push our limit and we have seen the results. Would definitely recommend him to anyone we know!

Brian Waldon at My Fitness World will kick your butt into shape! They have a very clean facility and the equipment is nice. I recommend any one who is looking for a Personal Trainer to go to My Fitness World and try out any of their trainers. Brian, Brent, Shelby and George are all Certified and great at giving you a full workout.I like the fact that they give you 2 free personal training sessions in the beginning to evaluate your fitness level and to make sure that you are comfortable with their training before signing up.
National pandemic and mandated gym closings across Charlotte but this place decides to stay open?? Not only that but there are 2 elderly gentlemen in there working out as well. You are risking their lives and ignoring the rules that every other small business has had to abide by. Selfish and dangerous!
Ive been coming to this gym for several years and have seen fantastic results with my fitness level. I cant recommend this business enough! The trainers are very knowledgeable and friendly, and there is no yearly contract like at some of the bigger gyms.
Brian does an excellent job of creating customized fitness plans to help his clients achieve amazing results. I got faster results in a couple months than years of workouts I had been doing independently. Hes great for accountability and getting you back on track.
I was in Charlotte this weekend to visit my son. He took me to meet his trainer for some tips and I was completely impressed. I met Brian, and within minutes I knew that everything I had been doing at the gym wasnt working! I started going to the gym in January and it felt amazing. Im a big guy with back problems and Brian addressed these issues with things I can do. I think I was sweating more in that hour with Brain than the whole time I was in the gym! I have been going to My Fitness World since it opened and have had great experiences. I love that it is a personal training studio so there arent a lot of people in there looking at you or feeling judged. There are personal bathrooms with shower that is always clean. The studio provides free bottled water and clean towels. The trainers are all good at what they do and are very friendly to the customers.
I have been training here for the last two year... What can I say.. Wow. .. Truly an Awesome place! Trainer B is a good trainer and he is always open to answering any questions or concerns I bring to each session. He always adapts and works with me to adjust the routine.No matter what he strives to find ways to make exercise as fun and exciting for me.I know he is A good trainer he gives me everything I need to know to make fitness a permanent part of your lifestyle.I am pleased with my progress losing a total of 85 pounds.Tranier B is so passionate about his gym and makes sure everyone feels welcomed.

I have been a client of My Fitness World since it opened, and have trained with Shelby Miller for more than five years. My Fitness World is a wonderful boutique studio: extremely clean, well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and never overcrowded due to the nature of their personal training focus.Trainers and fellow workout clients are polite and friendly, and the overall atmosphere is a positive one (especially for people like me who dont appear to be a gym rat and have a lot of learning to do regarding machines, workouts, kinesiology, etc.). Perhaps most importantly, their trainers are fantastic. I call Shelby the thinking mans trainer, because she takes a great deal of time to get to know you, your focus areas, and offers a lot of explanation about your exercise and eating routines. Completely non-judgmental with safety and long-term well-being a first priority. Plus, the workouts are fun, engaging, challenging, and varied.
After experiencing great dissatisfaction with past personal trainers I found Brian! He is able to encourage me to work hard at my training sessions while keeping my attention by teaching me different ways to workout for the results I want. I truly feel My Fitness World is a gem in Charlotte!!

I am the survivor of five knee surgeries which left me in poor physical shape. I cannot praise Shelby Miller enough for the difference she has made in my life. I tried working out on my own, but like many others, my intentions did not match my needs. Furthermore, most of the exercises I attempted seemed to hurt more than help. Therefore, I decided to get a trainer for a few sessions to assist me. It’s now several years later and it was the best decision I ever made for my health!Having a trainer means you set an appointment, which actually gets more people to the gym than vague personal promises. It also means having someone to watch your form, and modify exercises for you. There were many exercises unsuited to my situation, but Shelby always worked around my needs and found ways to work those muscles in different ways. That is just one of the advantages of working with someone who is a certified trainer, not merely an instructor.It has been great to show up and workout with concerns of injury. Furthermore, I do not need to think about the workout at all. Shelby tracks the muscle groups to be worked, the weights and the reps. The only things needed from me is to show up and make the effort!I would encourage anyone struggling to workout to get a trainer. And if you are in the Charlotte area, I would HIGHLY recommend Shelby Miller and the other folks at My Fitness World. I have seen a diverse group of people working out there and know they cater to all fitness levels and ages. It is decision you will not regret.
Brian has been my trainer for the past two years. He has high expectations of his trainers and clients which I found was often lacking with many other trainers. If people dont like structure and accountability, they may have a problem. For those who do, they see results!Of all the trainers that Ive had, Brian is the best! Five+ stars Trainer B!!
When I first moved to Charlotte, NC almost 6 years ago, one of my goals was to get in shape for the first time in my life. In the past, I self trained myself with occasional trips to the gym to lift a few weights and get some cardio in. From a nutrition standpoint, I always tried to watch what I ate because I love food so much. I am one of those people that when I look at food I gain weight. When I arrived in Charlotte, I decided something had to be different this time. I decided to get a personal trainer. The gym I signed up at asked me how serious I was. I told them I was very serious. The next words out of the GMs mouth were then I am going to put you with Brian. The first day I trained with Brian he took my measurements and we set my fitness goals. I also had to log everything I ate the first week so Brian could monitor my eating habits. The style of training Brian had me do was like nothing I had ever experienced before. His athletic style of training as I like to call it, not only allowed me to lose 30 pounds in just 6 months, but I had significantly more muscle on my body than I had ever had. Brian teaches you to listen to what the mirror says and not the scale. Words cannot describe how Brian Waldon has changed my life. From our days at the gym together, to the last few years when Brian opened up his own studio, I still love getting up in the morning to train with him. Nearly 6 years has passed, and I still train with Brian 2 days in the morning every week. Why? Because we still set goals, we still take measurements and we still make sure I watch what I eat. Brian also is the master at keeping things fresh. He continues to grow as a trainer each day, constantly researching different exercises to add to his routines. Just last week my entire half hour session was filled with exercises I had never done before. In addition, Brians greatest strength as a trainer in my opinion is his safety first approach. He makes sure your form is perfect for each exercise, he will never make you do anything he doesnt think you are capable of doing, and he is extremely knowledgeable with training around injuries and strengthening injured areas. If you want to change your life, get in shape, eat right and feel good about yourself everyday you wake up, then pick up the phone and call Brian to start that process. My life has never been the same since I did.
