Dr. ST. Jean, the assistant and hygienist provide excellent service. Midtown Dentistry is clean and I received great care for my cleanings along with the service provided for my bridge. l removed one star due to the billing dept. Overall I would recommend Midtown Dentistry for the care and service I received.

I asked a friend who did her dental work. She said Dr Saint Jean. I looked him up. Im glad I did! He is a wonderful dentist! Good chair side manners. He explains in detail what needs to be done.He doesnt seem rushed when he is working on my teeth, and the professional dental team who work there seem happy and are friendly. After my first visit I was impressed! So impressed that I sent a msg to a few of my friends that if theyre looking for a dentist to check him out.

After another dentist failed to give me quality work, I scheduled a last-minute appointment at this office and was pleasantly surprised. The dental assistants and front-desk staff are all helpful and friendly. The doctor and I both attended the same university and had good conversation on that. They are super flexible, as well. I recommended my relative who didn’t have insurance visit there and they took care of her. This is now my regular office.

Midtown dentistry is by far the best dentist office that I have gone to. They put my needs first and always made sure to make me feel comfortable. Dr. Saint Jean is patient, understanding, and very careful. Hattie is very thorough and was able to transform my teeth that were on the brink of having periodontal disease. The customer service is impeccable not only with the Dr. Saint Jean and Hattie, but also with the front desk staff. I Initially had a fear of going to the dentist, however because Dr. Saint Jean makes me feel comfortable it expunged all my nervous jitters. I highly recommend midtown dentistry!!

Every person that I came in contact with was incredibly kind and helpful. Honestly, this type of service culture is hard to come by nowadays. At one point, I felt pretty confused about the process and what the dental plan was supposed to look like, and I expressed that to someone in the office. This was followed up with a voicemail directly from the dentist apologizing for the confusion and taking ownership of the confusion. I went to see Dr. Saint Jean in July 2019 for a cosmetic procedure to fix the gaps in my teeth as well as to address the uneven nature of the front four teeth. His work is so subtle that most people dont notice that Ive even had anything done (which is what I wanted). However, when you look at comparison photos, you can clearly see the artistry in his work. Its now more than a year later and my dental hygienist cant help but compliment my teeth. Im very pleased with my results.

My mom, younger brother and myself has been coming here for quite a few years now, and it’s always a pleasant every time we visit. The staffs from the front office to the dental hygienist in the back, they have always been very friendly and helpful. The doctor is very professional, he always has this big smile on his face and come to greet me every time I come by. My mom and younger brother’s teeth is very sensitive and they cannot handle pain very well, Hattie has always been gentle and very patient with them, I’m sure other hygienist that they have is very good too but personally I do confidentially consider Hattie is the dental hygienist there is and would recommend anyone to her.

Dr Saint Jean is an AMAZING dentist! He takes pride in his work, is gentle,extremely articulate, and a perfectionist, which I love!! He has done a couple cosmetic procedures and my smile looks like a million dollars now. (I had a crown that ached me and he redid it. Now Im pain free) The office is clean, the staff are friendly and the professionalism is consistent. Dr Saint Jean has a gift for dentistry and I am SO glad I found him! Today my son went there for a filling. This was his first cavity and he was sweating bullets to say the least. (My son is petrified of dentists and everything that pertains to them!!) After he left, he said, mom I didnt even feel anything. I will be flying back here when I go off to college. Hes the best All I call say is THANK YOU Doc!!

I initially went to the office for an exam and a cleaning. The customer service was wonderful and very welcoming. I then returned to get some cavities filled. After that appointment in September, I continued to feel sensitivity on that side which did not allow me to eat nor floss those specific teeth (I would experience a very uncomfortable sharp pain). I returned back to them 2 separate times to get it taken care of. It is now December and I still can not eat on the left side of my mouth and when I called them to let them know, they just asked me to return again for another look but honestly, it has been a waste of time for me to go and not get the issue fixed. I also never received another call back from the dentist showing concern for the way he left my teeth.Aside from that, after already having paid for the fillings out of pocket, the last time (3rd time I returned for the same teeth) I was asked to pay some more because they thought my insurance was going to cover more than they actually did.So I am now still in pain and paid way more than I should have for inadequate dental work.I am highly disappointed in the practices at this office.

Ive been going to Midtown Dentistry for a few years now, and every time, Im very pleased with the level of service. Dr. Saint Jean is very knowledgeable, super friendly, and has always made time to answer all of my questions. I dont know much about dentistry equipment, but they seem to use the top of the line in technology.The office staff is incredibly friendly and help remind me of my scheduled appointments. They also go the extra mile - my wife and I recently welcomed a new baby boy into the world and the office wrote me a handwritten card to congratulate me! I always feel very welcomed walking in - and know that Im in good hands going there.

I have had several previous dentists, that I consider good, but of them all, Dr Jean is the best. He is a hard working professional, very gentle and artfully dispenses his services. I will recommend him to any of my friends and family.

UPDATE 6/18/2020: I have been a patient here for ~3 years. I still stand by my statement from my original review that I really like Dr. Saint Jean and my dental hygienist Hattie.However, I have never dealt with such inefficiencies/lack of administrative competence at a doctors office before this one. They have rescheduled/cancelled 3-4 (out of 6-7) of my appointments in 3 years and every time with less than 24 hours notice. In one instance, they rescheduled an appointment without informing me (I learned about it from their online notification system.) I really wish this office would get it together. I dont understand why they make appointments 6 months in advance if it is likely they cant keep them.-----------------------Highly recommend. Ive enjoyed professional, yet personal interactions here. The Dentist Dr. Saint Jean is knowledgeable and straightforward.

Rude and unfriendly office staff. Misleading marketing event stated information and financing options would be discussed at the event. The office staff said I couldn’t attend because they said I need to sign over my consent to pay before I was even informed of, or offered the service/product/attended the event. Who signs a form to be billed when they haven’t spoken to a Doctor or been informed of the service.

So many wonderful things I can say about Dr. Saint Jean and his staff, but Ill start by saying they are phenomenal! They provide optimal, top of the line customer service and they really take the time to get to know their patients on a personal level. As costly as some procedures can be, they provide many payment alternatives and throughly explain procedures ahead of time. Best of all, they offer 7:30 am appointments which works perfectly with busy schedules! I could go on and on! My entire family a loyal customers and will continue to be!

Office manager (large black girl at desk off to the side) is very unprofessional and unresponsive. Unfortunately I didnt get the same experience as most patients who reviewed prior to me. Dr. Saint Jean was very nice and gentle when working. Upon leaving, office manager told me she would call me to follow up within one week and she did not. One week passed, I called the office to find that office manager and doctor are unavailable, and someone will call me back... No one ever called. Long story short, not people of their word and the staff sucks.

The staff at Midtown are the absolute best. They make you feel right at home from the front desk to the dentist chair. It is obvious they have taken a lot of time into considering patient comfort. With tvs in every exam room, they are a great source of distraction and entertainment and glasses are provided to keep the bright lights out of your eyes during procedures.No only did I appreciate their attention to patient comfort, but their commitment to price transparency. I was provided detailed price sheets and with each appointment I was told exactly what I would be paying. I appreciated this the most as with most doctors I find I am often playing a guessing game as to how much a visit will cost me. I would absolutely recommend Midtown for its friendly efficient staff and with Dr. Saint Jeans expertise, you will undoubtably get the best dental care possible.

I think the office staff in the front and the dental hygienists are very nice and friendly. However Dr. St. Jean seems to have a very low tolerance and low level of patience for children patients. My 6 year old daughter came in for a filling and sealants on her molars today. Some of her teeth were sensitive to the cold air blown on them during the process as they were at a previous appointment. She lifted her leg all the way up in pain at one point, kept closing her mouth, and lifted her hands as if to remove the dental instrument from her mouth because her tooth was hurting. I tried my best to get her to cooperate but something was apparently hurting her. The dentist was not very accommodating to her at all and seemed very frustrated because my daughter would not allow the process to be completed because she was hurting. She even said that the air was causing her pain but it was as if the dentist did not believe her and seemed to get visibly upset himself. He even made the comment, Ive never seen cotton hurt anybody before. Obviously it was not the cotton that hurt her but the fact that her teeth were a bit sensitive to the cool air being blown on them. As a mother, the entire experience with the dentist upset me but I kept my cool. He came back with a referral to another dental office that catered more to children and apologized that he could not finish the process but the bad impression he left was a lasting one. The dental hygienist who worked with my daughter was very sweet and tried to smooth things over after the dentist left but the impression he left and the bad attitude he displayed left a lasting impression. Best wishes to the rest of the office staff but we definitely will not be back.Update:10/23/2017 In response to Dr. Saint Jeans reply: I challenge your version of events! My daughter most definitely knows how to sit still for more than 1 minute. The very fact that you would be insulted that a 6 year old who was obviously in pain (which she did tell you) could not sit still BECAUSE SHE WAS IN PAIN shows your level of maturity as not only a dentist but as an adult. I was not at one time emotional in your office during my daughters visit so dont try that one. I was patient and if you remember I tried to get her to cooperate while the procedure was being done but she was hurting to due to the sensitivity of a couple of her teeth. However, you seemed to care only about accomplishing your goal to get the procedure done and not the actual pain that your young patient was suffering at the time. You made it very obvious that you were upset and it was not professional at all. As far as the referral you gave, I guess you are patting yourself on the back for that. However, as far as your attitude and behavior during my daughters last visit...you get an F!! In the future, please try not to let your true attitude and temper arise during a procedure. It left a very negative impression of not your staff but of YOU. As I mentioned earlier, the staff has always been accommodating and friendly but you sir have some work to do....again we wont be back not because of them but because of you. Good day.

I have been a patient here for a couple years. Front desk service is hard to come by. An off site third party answers calls and takes messages when nobody on site picks up, and if that doesn’t happen you have to leave voicemails. I had a non emergency filling appointment that my hygienist scheduled after a cleaning to “hold a date” and I had to reschedule twice due to emergency work conflicts. On reschedule attempt # 2 after having to leave them a voicemail, their office admin returned my call and told that I would be charged a $25.00 cancellation fee since the appointment had been confirmed already and the reschedule request was within 24 hours (I called early afternoon and the appointment was for the next morning). I asked for a courtesy waiver on that little fee and was denied, therefore I’ll be paying that $25.00 and promptly finding a practice that is more flexible with their patients. Stepping over dollars to pick up pennies.. It’s no wonder they have a sign out front that they are currently “accepting new patients” when they are in the center of one of the largest cities in the southeast.

Yes, the service is great. BUT, they pulled a few fast ones on me to make sure I paid the maximum amount, that under my coverage is considered COVERED everywhere else but somehow they got me to spend almost $200 for a cleaning! This place does not take PEOPLE into consideration. I am a single mom and to spend that much and for them to say I needed to come ever 3 months or I would LOSE MY TEETH? I just called another dentist office and will never EVER be going here again. I hate money hungry people who dont try to work with you.

In a word, professional! In another word, friendly! For years, I had been going to a large dental practice. While they certainly took well enough care of my teeth, I never knew what I was missing until - after moving back to Charlotte - I changed my dentist to Dr. Saint Jean at Midtown Dentistry. It is a throwback to the mom and pop days of small businesses: I talk to the same receptionist every time, I see the same hygenist every time, and (of course) I see the same dentist every time. Each are at the top of scale in terms of professionalism, personality, empathy, and interest in my dental health. They are nobodys throwback when it comes to technology, though. They use the most modern technology I know - and even some things I have never even heard of before! While the most critical components of this office are the excellent skills and service of Dr. Saint Jean and his staff, Id be remiss if I didnt mention my own personal favorite thing: when I have an appointment, I am seen at exactly the time of the appointment.

I dont know about Hillarys insurance but I have insurance from Lowes Bc/Bs Cigna and I didnt even have a Co Pay. I just moved here from Michigan and had the same dentist for 30 years. I am happy to have this dentist. I felt just as comfortable as the dentist I had since I was 5 years old. the staff was friendly and easy to get my appointment set up. I got full 360 x-rays and the whole thing.
