My first time visit was amazing. The staff from the time I came in and when I left were so pleasant, caring and they took time to explain everything to me in a professional manner. The lobby was clean and the hygienist and Dr. Rogers were very pleasant and came up with a treatment plan that I am honestly looking forward to soon. I would highly recommend them to others.

By far the BEST dental office I ever been to. From the staff at the front desk all the way to the dental assistant and doctor. They were all amazing.. the best experience I ever had going to the dental office. This was my first time there and I will continue to go here. They made me and my husband feel so welcome and both had a great experience getting a tooth removed. Im impressed. Dr. Rogers was AMAZING no pain at all removing my tooth. I would definitely recommend.

Before noon I asked directly and was told I would receive a call back by 2pm to confirm a second same date appointment at 3:30pm contingent upon them receiving paper work from my primary physician. I never received said call and when I called back at 3pm they told me I could just come now. The lack of initiated communication was disappointing.The dentist was quite rough and not as gentle as I would expect, especially considering I am 32 weeks pregnant. The administration of local anesthesia seemed rushed and was very painful to the point of tears and I have a high tolerance for pain as I have many tattoos and piercings in sensitive areas. Also there was a lot of tools clinking against my teeth which was uncomfortable as well.The work the was done was great as I am happy with the end results but my time in the chair was memorable for the wrong reasons.The staff was professional and friendly which I appreciate. The facility is clean and welcoming. I will be going back to give a second chance as my experience may have been a fluke and everything else was pleasant.

Staff were wonderful. The hygienist, Jeannie, was incredibly friendly and thorough. The dentist was very professional. I felt very comfortable for the duration of the visit and will return again.

I had my first appointment today with Dr. Rogers and I have to say I was impressed with the overall attitude of everyone in the office. I came knowing that I would be needing to come back a few times before Im back on track, and everything about todays visit signalled a jumpstart on that process. Dr. Rogers was very clear about his recommended treatments, and unlike some other reviews I never felt pressured into buying any services whatsoever. On the contrary, I mentioned something that the Doc said I didnt need and he was very clear with me about why I didnt need it. I had an exam in the morning and a filling performed later that day, and he definitely improved the look of the area above and beyond what I was expecting. Ive got a crown scheduled to take place at this clinic now with the Doc and I look forward to another great experience with which I can update this review!Thanks to all the staff and Dr. Rogers!

Best experience Ive had at a dentist office. I got 6 shots for two extractions and Dr. Rogers was done quick and it didnt even hurt as bad when he did the shots. The Dr inwent to before him I almost punched him in the mouth. He cut me and I could feel everything.

I have been going to the Northlake office for about 2 yrs. Dr. Rogers is the first dentist (other than an endodontist) who has been able to get me numb without the crazy side effects. I havent received services other than a cleaning at the Concord Mills location. Services received so far: regular cleaning, fillings & extraction. Planned services: Invisalign & a bridge. I visited the Concord Mills office for a cleaning and the company honored their 2 yr warranty on fillings in which my most recent filling was at no cost. I highly recommend Dr. Rogers. He communicates well, is very professional & does good work.

OMG! I absolutely love this place, said no one ever about a dental office, but its true.My adult son, who struggles with anxiety and panic attacks, moved here to Charlotte with me. He came with a two-year-old tooth problem that he was too afraid to get fixed. We had no insurance and wasnt prepared for an emergency, but it came. We visited a few other offices, and either didnt feel comfortable, couldnt afford it, or would be booked too far out to help. Then we found Modern Family Dental on Mt Holly rd. They were able to get us in on the same day and were reasonably priced.Of course, my son has a panic attack the 1st time there, so we had to reschedule. Dr. Rogers and his team were very patient and comforting to my son. On the 2nd visit, it took some work, but my son made it through the extraction. I was amazed! But that was short-lived because he had another tooth on the other side that caused serious problems. We were back in there 4 days later, going through the procedure again, and this time it went even better than before.Dr. Rogers and the team are completely amazing and life savers, and I thank them for all they did to help my son.I would highly recommend Modern Family Dentist Care to my friends and will bring the rest of my family.

Everyone was nice and super helpful! I went around to several dentist offices and kept going around in circles and finally this place got me set up to finally fix the problem. I went for a tooth extraction and the first visit was the evaluation and they were able to get me in the next morning for the extraction. It was a painless procedure and I was out of there within 40 minutes.

Ill start off by saying that I have not had a problem with the Dentist or Hygienists at this location. They have been professional, polite, and provided good service.I cannot say the same for the office staff. I have had enough of dealing with them and have changed dentists for this reason alone.1. When I first called to find out if they took my insurance, I was told yes, we do. I only found out much later that they do accept it, but are out of network, which has cost me money during my time as a patient. This was not disclosed.2. I needed a crown, and was told that I would have to pay roughly $1300 out of pocket after my insurance portion, up front, before the procedure. Okay, not great, but I paid it. I was then told at my next visit that insurance had actually paid for most of that, and would be receiving a refund as a had a credit on my account. After 2 months of the credit manager being unavailable - I was finally told that this was an error, and would not be receiving a refund. This dental practice seems to be incapable of managing their insurance and billing issues.3. At the same visit I was told I had a credit, I was given a flouride treatment without being asked if I wanted it. Normally, this has an associated cost. After the treatment, I asked if this was now covered, and they said we did it because you had a credit on your account - so they gave me a treatment that I did not ask for, in order to recoup some of the credit that was on my account.4. After all this, I decided to change dentists. I requested that my records be transferred to my new dentist, and was told that there would be a $30 fee to transfer the records. I have had my records released to the Army in the past without this fee, and despite what their policy is, a patient should have the right to their records. I even called the main office and talked to Nikki (sp?) who told me that this was their policy, and that they would no waive the fee.I cannot recommend Modern Family Dental Care. I thought that the problem might be with the Office Staff at the Northlake Location, but the main (Concord) location is just as difficult to deal with, and their billing manager wasnt even available to return my calls for almost 2 months. I would avoid this practice altogether.

Modern family dental care on Mt. Holly Huntersville rd staff is the best. I went for my 6 month cleaning today and honestly I got such a warm welcome with smiles and laughter. Im definitely a forever customer.

Dr. Rogers & Team are the best. I went for the 1st time yesterday morning (5-25-21) and they took very good care of me. The tooth pain I was experiencing was pn level 10 ( real bad / crying pain). I have to admit I was stubborn some😊. Dr. Rogers was ready to do the procedure ridgr away with no hesitation, But I decided to try the Antibiotics first to get rid of the Infection. They were so gentle with me and his assistant was so empathetic towards me.I truly thank God for Dr. Rogers & Team.They are my Angels on earth😊.I would recommend him to anyone who has an Emergency and Can not get seen right away.. Update 3-8-21This review has been downgraded from 2 stars to 1. At this point Im going to escalate this to higher management. I scheduled an appointment today because I was experiencing severe pain since Saturday, which I expected to be dry socket. Once the aforementioned male dentist Pernell Rogers entered the room I explained to him the pain I was feeling and told him what I suspected to be the cause. He told me that it wasnt dry socket. I then explained to him that I felt like there might still have been traces of the tooth and even let him know that I had coughed up a piece of a fragment. Pernell Rogers then got very defensive and rudely told me since I did not trust his judgment that I could go somewhere else. I told him I never said that I didnt trust his judgment and he answered Yes you did in your review. I told him that he has no right to bring up my review, because my review is my review. He then goes on to say that it wasnt his fault that my feelings got hurt and even begin physically touching me while he continued to make rude unprofessional remarks, telling me that I can go elsewhere. Im going to escalate this matter because the unprofessional behavior that Pernell Rogers displayed was beyond unacceptable. As he leaves the room he then goes on to say Go ahead and write another review and make it a good one.If you value a good dental care experience and professionalism, save yourself a trip here. Ill be cancelling that future cleaning.---3/3/21First off I made an appointment to have a tooth extracted at the Northlake facility and when I showed up I was put off until the next day. This isnt the first time the male dentist has done this and it is very inconvenient considering this was my only available day off until the weekend. Secondly, I was told by said dentist in a very condescending fashion I know youre young and all, but you need to take care of your teeth. You cant only make appointments here when a tooth is giving you pain, you need to come here for regular cleanings.I have not had a cleaning in so long because I lacked the insurance. Its very rude to speak on something like that when you dont even know the patients personal situation. Very unprofessional. I brush my teeth twice a day, sometimes 3. I take very good care of my teeth. I just recently acquired dental insurance with a new job that will allow me to get scheduled cleanings. I would have told him off, but since hes going to be digging around in my mouth, I let it slide. After this tooth is extracted I will be scheduling my cleanings with a more professional dental care facility.Update: 3/5/21: After returning for the procedure, the extraction was performed and the tooth was removed. My only gripe is that before the extraction was performed the male dentist felt the need to tell me that he received my previous review and rather than offering an apology, he simply tried to explain himself and justify his words. The moment was very awkward and uncomfortable, because if youre are going to confront a patient about a review they wrote, then why not apologize? Also note that after the extraction was over, as I passed by him while leaving, I gave him a word of thanks for his help, to which he did not respond and just stared at me with this unpleasant expression (as if he was still upset from the review). Again, very unprofessional. I would also like to note that the female dentist/dental assistant was very kind and her positive interaction was able to balance out his negativity.The morning after the extraction: I have a few pieces of the extracted tooth still floating around in my mouth (not sure if thats normal) and only realized what it was when I almost swallowed it. After taking the piece out of my mouth to see what it was, I was able to confirm it was a sharp chip of the tooth about the size of a tiny food crumb. I dont recall any mention of possible remaining pieces that I would need to take out.

Everyone is very polite and respectful. They get the job done. They are very honest and walk you through all the steps you need to take to keep your mouth healthy.

First visit here. Only thing that Im totally disgusted with is my dental insurance. This country really needs to do something about the dental coverage its does not cove nearlyr enough. The hygienist, Amber, was nice, did a good job and it was painless. However, the only one that had a mask and shield was the dentist. He seemed to be having a bad day because he seemed totally uninterested, as if he were being forced to see me. Not happy.

I have never even had a cavity, and so when I broke one of my teeth biting down on hard candy, I was terrified. This was my first experience with this dentist as we are new to the area, and they were amazing. They were very straightforward with our payment responsibilities, and the root canal I received was a breeze. I was comfortable the entire time and the follow up care was top notch. Thank you for fixing my tooth! I look forward to making this my primary dentist.Edit: The root canal failed as they didn’t mention my roots were much longer than their files. Three root canals later, I had to have the tooth pulled. Avoid!

Wonderful, caring staff. My two girls had their first dental appointment and the staff was wonderful about explaining everything and preparing them for what was happening. They have not stopped asking when they can come again! I think thats pretty high praise from a 4 year old. They were wonderful about putting together a financial statement so we would know exactly what our insurance would cover and our portions. Not pushy and very knowledgeable!

Ive had to visit this dentists office 3 times for dental health.Dr. Rogers and his team did a fine job with what they were presented, and I felt well taken care of. There was a low waiting time and there were offerings for diversion during your wait.Brittany is a stand-out, and she will work a decent payment plan.This offices services are a little pricey, but I will never hesitate to revisit them again.

I know this is the case for a lot of people but I absolutely HATE going to the dentist! It’s one of my worst fears as I was traumatized from childhood into adulthood; and just always had bad experiences. My first time getting a root canal about 5 years ago was the worst experience of my life (not exaggerating). Fast forward about a week ago, I had the worst toothache ever and made an appointment with Modern Dental and found out that I had to have another root canal. I was terrified due to my last experience but Dr. Rodgers was AMAZING and his dental assistant Kayla, even more AMAZING! They made me feel comfortable and actually listened to me when I said I was in pain! Numbing me was a challenge but Dr. Rodgers did not get annoyed with me or walk away - he made sure I was comfortable to proceed with the procedure and talked me through it!Dr. Rodgers and Kayla were extremely empathetic and they were true examples of what Health Professionals are - taking exceptional care of their patients.

Dr. Rogers and his team are chill, thorough, and professional. I got several fillings, and Dr. Rogers continuously checked with me to see if I was okay while he worked. It wasnt painful at all. Dr. Rogers and Modern Family Dental were recommended by another patient who gave positive reviews.

Dr.Rogers is AWESOME !! I am a new patient and had to have a tooth pulled and I am a big ole baby but I have to say he was extremely gentle and very kind. The entire staff is very friendly and answered several questions that I had explaining everything that I needed to have done. Needless to say I will now only be going to Dr.Rogers for all my dental services and I have already recommended him to several people. Great people, awesome atmosphere. The dentist took my wisdom tooth out with no issue. I have really bad anxiety with the needles but I felt little to no pain almost. I had no pain after the numbing went away either so overall a great experience.

Booked my girlfriends about for them just to call and cancel it, worst service don’t say online you have an appointment open then call 3 hours before the appointment and say that’s not going to work when it says tooth emergency on everything submitted so now you took all the information for what? To still do nothing.

On July 25, 2019 I went to have my implants started; such an awesome experience! The staffs enthusiasm alone creates a pleasant visit! The front office staff greeted me by name as I walked in the front door! I highly recommend this facility to anyone that is looking for excellent care and customer service! I was terrified when I went in I had never had any work done in my mouth before. Dr. Pernell made the experience as comfortable as he could. I felt no pain, and I calmed down. I recommend them to everyone and I am now making them my Dentist of choice.

Was dissappointed with my overall experience. The hygenist, Jeannie was great. Very friendly and thorough but it went downhill from there. I went to this doctor because of his great reviews but didnt feel a warm welcome at all. Maybe he had an off day but as someone that is afraid of the dentist, I didnt get a trusting or concerned feeling from this doctor. When I went to pay the bill, it was more than they quoted me when I walked in. I felt like they were pushing me to commit and buy one of their discount programs. Felt like a sales pitch. My search for a new dentist continues.

I recommend this office HIGHLY. Dr Pernell Rogers is excellent. He is gentle and he has pulled four of my teeth, before you know it, he has the tooth out. My partial teeth are beautiful!!!!! This was my first visit to modern and I had an wonderful visit. Meka is just amazing, shes so friendly and a blast to chat with. I never felt like I was at the dentist office. I went to the office at Davis Lake. I had a good experience. The hygienist was extremely friendly. Liked the doctor too. He asked what was most important to me concerning my dental care.Waited 30 min for my appointment which was unusual. Once I was taken back my visit was not rushed because of the delay.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr Rogers was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done and why. He answered all of my questions. The procedure went as described and I am now healing.

This was our first time seeing Modern Family Dental Care. Over all we had a great experience. It was hard to choose a new dentist. I felt we were choosing blind. The front desk staff was very helpful, the dental hygienist we had was wonderful, and the dentist made us feel comfortable and answered all my questions. After the appointment we needed to come back for a second appointment and they were very accommodating to my schedule. My 13 year old son walked out of his appointment saying, They are really nice.

Needed to have a tooth checked out and was able to be seen the same day!Appointment was at 1 PM, I arrived at 12:45 to fill out the paperwork and was called back right before 1. A few minutes later I had an x-ray and the Dentist was in the room in under 5 minutes. The whole ordeal took 15 minutes once I was in the back.The best part is when you sit in the chair you have a TV in front of you to watch, but even better when you are in the reclined position there is a TV on the roof.Dr Rogers was extremely helpful and I suggest giving this office a try if you are looking!

Very polite, friendly and knowledgeable staff. My Dental Hygienist was awesome! She provided the most thorough screenings I have ever had sitting in a dentist chair. She provided an explanation to allow me to understand what and why. Just know, I found my new dentist home here in Charlotte.

Dr. Rogers and the staff at Moden Family Dental are FABULOUS! I needed an emergency appointment for a severe toothache and they accommodated me immediately! I have found my new dentist office!

Modern Family Dental Care at Northlake followed all the mask use and social distancing appropriate for the pandemic. I was able to wait in my car and skip the waiting room. Checkout was contactless as the receptionist took my credit card data over the phone. Service was excellent. My hygienist was patient and competent. I will return and I recommend Modern Family Dental Care.

The Modern Family Dental team were great about working out a snag with my insurance, shoehorning me into a busy holiday schedule, and arranging a treatment and payment plan that worked for me. Everyone I interacted with from the receptionist to the dentist was very easy to work with and I will definitely using them as my regular dental care provider.

The office is very clean and the staff is extremely friendly. The hygienist do an excellent job, and I feel very comfortable with Dr. Rogers. I would highly recommend visiting Modern Family for your next dental appointment.

I do NOT recommend this dentist. Their #1 focus is getting as much money as they can from you. I went for a cleaning and they told me I had five fillings that needed to be done. I have never needed a filling before ever! They said they were going to come up with a payment plan for all the work I needed on my teeth. They came back 20 min later and said that the payment plan took too long to come up with and the next patient was already there so they didnt have time to clean my teeth. BUT, they still had time to do my fillings (???). They scheduled me another appointment for a gingivitis cleaning. They called me two days before to tell me they had actually overbooked that day and needed to reschedule me after I had already taken off work! I work as a nurse and cant just take off random days. I asked if I could just have a regular cleaning instead so I could still have that same day for my appointment, and they said I was only allowed to have the gingivitis cleaning since thats what was recommended. which OF COURSE is not covered by insurance and costs extra money. It was an unpleasant experience and seems as though they just want the most money they can get.

Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Jameka was my hygienist on my visit. She was so nice and did an excellent job. She made me feel comfortable and was able to do a thorough cleaning while be gentle. I definitely recommend her as a hygienist. Dr Rogers listened to what I needed and gave me the best options for that.

I have been going to this place for my last two visits. I got cleaning and a general checkup done here on both occasions and had an excellent experience. The cleaning was of the highest quality and the evaluation done was great as well. Highly recommended!

I hate going to the dentist because of the bad experience I had with my previous dentist. This experience at Modern Family Dental Care was so much better. The staff and Dr Rogers made me feel at ease. I was looking for a new dentist and now I have found one.

Yesterday was my first experience with Modern Family Dental Care, and it was great (as great as going to the dentist can be lol). Being a single mother with one income I have put my sons dental care ahead of mine for the past 9 years which has caused me to need a lot of work. They didnt make me feel guilty about my issues like some dentists in the past have, and they made me feel very at ease. Considering the amount of work I need their price was definitely lower than other dentists that I have gone to. They were very thorough in checking me and going over the financial portion with me. What I love about this dentist also is that I can set up a monthly payment plan. I finally see light at the end of the tunnel, and I feel confident that I have found my permanent dentist!
