Best apartment community I’ve lived in. On our second year lease and the value for what we pay is great. Apartments have a great layout, up to date with new appliances and ACs, and well-maintained with beautiful landscaping and great amenities. Peaceful and safe. Family friendly with neighbors that make up a diverse community. Management and maintenance are very responsive and courteous. While on my balcony recently, saw a member of the office staff address one of our senior neighbors by name offering to take their trash to the dumpster. Will always recommend to anyone looking for a short term or long term place to stay.

Great complex to stay! willow with fountains and lakes, it is pleasant to admire its place, playground; much more. I am very pleased with the attitude and speed of reaction of the office when contacting us: they are always ready to help and solve your problems. Really care about us. The apartments are warm, clean and everything works, there are a lot of places for storing things. There are no insects, large balconies.

The staff at the Preserve is very Responsive and VERY Professional!! They all go the extra mile and tends to my every needs and Im very needy. I highly recommend this place to live. They have an amazing amenities and top-notch front staff. The upkeep of the grounds are well kept.

Ive lived here for a couple years and I have to say, the staff is amazing. Marquita the Property Manager and Ines, Nancy, and Kiana in the leasing office have always been incredibly helpful and responsive when issues arise, and the maintenance staff is also amazing and super friendly. I moved here from a property that was poorly managed, and it makes a huge difference. They also take great effort to keep the property well maintained. Its a great community.

Preserves at Ballantyne Commons is a warm and welcoming complex. The staff Ines & Kiana are VERY focused to details of what I wanted. All the requests that I have made for services has been very prompt with responses.Ines and Kiana the office staff have been very accommodating with our move in procedures and documentations during Covid. They made it so easy for us. It was such a huge relief on us since our move from the West Coast to the East Coast was a big production. Not being able to see the units and the area was unnerving, but Kiana made it so pleasant. During the zoom meets and emails we had about the unit she made it very promising and put our minds at easy about this place. Big Thank You to Ines and Kiana for making our transition into our new home a easy one.

I’ve loved living at the Preserve. Nancy helped get us settled with the perfect unit. Ines has quickly become one of my favorite people in the world. Marquita leads our community with class and ability. The maintenance team are all incredible as are the other leasing consultants. Overall, I’m thankful we found this place. Thank you all for all you do!

We love this place. My family and I moved here from Florida and the mgmt has been outstanding. Marquita is amazing and goes above and beyond to keep her residents happy and her property clean.My wife and I observed her picking up loose trash around the property. That is leading by example. The management team at the Preserve at Ballantyne Commons are awesome!! Marquita, Ines, and Kiana are very professional, courteous, and friendly. They provide prompt, top-notch service with every interaction and have really made me feel welcome. They were so sweet and thoughtful to even leave a goodie bag with little gifts for Christmas at the door. I really appreciate everything they do to make us residents feel happy and at home. The Preserve management team rocks!

My wife and I met one of their reps for a Zoom tour of a one br /1st floor apartment. The rep conducted the tour with professionalism, very polite, etc. We really liked the place and quickly decided and agreed to a verbal agreement over the virtual mtg for THAT particular unit. Rep said okay, Ill go back to the office and send you the link to complete the process. My wife completes the application (multiple times, mind you, due to issues with their website which kept giving her an error notice). After finally getting the application to process, she was informed that the unit that was supposedly being held for us through the prior verbal commitment was no longer available in a matter of LESS THAN15 minutes!! The manager then proceeds to express to us that the situation was out of her control. No resolution. No attempt to make the situation right. Still no apartment for us. Extra disappointed with this so called luxury apartment complex.

I moved here during Covid and I was very thankful of the staff for working with me via Zoom and phone. They are genuine and have helped me feel welcomed to Charlotte.

Lived at the Preserve for a number of years and was very satisfied. It’s a great location convenient to shopping and restaurants. The staff was always friendly and responsive. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment in the Ballantyne area.

Love Love Love The Preserve! Awesome staff, they have excellent communication with the residents; Im so sad that I have to move because of my job.Ill miss the resident events and my neighbors who were always gracious to watch my dog during long nursing shifts. If my job sends me back this way I will definitely lease again.

I LOVE everything about the community! It is peaceful and quiet, the office staff is great. They care about everyone and make you feel like family. I have lived here for over 10 year and I Love IT!

I’ve been a resident at this apartment location and we truly enjoyed our stay here. The pool and the gym kept us busy. Everyone was so friendly doing things with the kids like fall festivals, Easter egg hunting, and super bowl parties to name a few. The staff knew how to make us feel special and give back to the community. It’s an amazing property tucked right in the heart of a great area with all the beautiful birds and nature we would walk around the property together. It’s by a wonderful school district with all the amazing things ballantyne has to offer. Our family was extremely happy it was hard to leave the complex but we found a house. We still hold fond memories in our heart from being from so welcomed into the community.

One of the best apartments we lived .staff is awesome.I truly recommend this apartment if anyone looking for Ballantyne area. This place is safe and good choice to live .

Moved there from Boston. Wife and I lived there for 4 years. Cant say enough nice things about it. Staff was wonderful, maintenance was wonderful, the location.. perfect !!

No Customer Service, No Consideration, and No Character! These are NOT their strong points at all here! I moved into a “newly remodeled” unit and the carpet was old, poorly cleaned and in dire need of replacement. I noticed a pest problem and it take over a week for someone to come out and evaluate the issue and get an exterminator. There are limited parking spots close to buildings, so I end up parking in the main parking lot and the walkways are poorly lit as a single mom this has been a huge concern for me but no help has come from the leasing office. As of recently the time has come to renew my lease and I was given a lease renewal that included an increase of my current rent amount. After doing some research I noticed the exact same model apartment as mine (Laurel) was renting for considerably cheaper than mine yet they are increasing my rate. I asked that my lease, at the least, should match that. This would satisfy their interest in keeping the unit occupied and my interest in staying in the apartment at a reasonable rate. When I requested my lease renewal be adjusted to reflect the same rate as the other unit to my surprise I was told I could move out or accept the increase. I felt that my request was fair but instead was told I could inconvenience myself by moving all of mine and my child’s belonging into the other unit not to mention changing my postal address and causing more paperwork for them when they could easily update my rate with a few keyboard strokes. Why!

I recently relocated from Columbus OH to Charlotte and was looking for a safe and nice place to live with my two kids and wife till we got settled. This place is perfect. We were able to tour the place we wanted before signing the agreement. The pricing is a little different then what we are use to in the Midwest but it was able to get us a much better price by signing up a few weeks early and will save money every month after that. The people in the development have been really nice. The pool is big (not very deep) and the playground, tennis courts, indoor basketball, weight room, and office space make this a great choice for people who love apartments. You are 5 minutes from everything you could want and only 20 minutes from downtown Charlotte. I highly recommend it.

James, the newest member of the maintenance staff is top notch. He goes above and beyond what was asked of him. He is always positive and never complains about the workload.In addition to James, I would also like to talk about Robert who is very knowledgeable and also has a great attitude. Soon after Robert started we found out he had throat cancer He still came to work when he was able to even after he had surgery on his throat . He never complained and worked just as if nothing was working. He was a hard worker and with all of his medical issues he still has a great attitude.We are also lucky to also have a great office staff who tries to accommodate the needs of all the residents including organizing holiday parties and special events.

I am so happy that we found a better place to live, than these apartments. The office staff had no as to how to read an LES. So for 3 hours we printed off bank statements, LES, VA papers and for some reason we were denied. 2 days later we applied for a more upscale and higher priced apartments and we were approved. Our credit scores are pretty high along with our renters score, especially since weve stayed on base for years. Warning if you are in the military or a veteran, take pictures with you to explain how to read your LES.

I am writing this review because I know how it feels to hunt for apartments and see such polarizing reviews on Google. Moving is such a stressful process and I feel like often places catch flak for not meeting unrealistic expectations.I will admit, Preserve has higher rates than a lot of surrounding apartments that I looked at. However, with that, you get a quiet, family-oriented community, great amenities, quick, reliable, and effective maintenance services, a responsive front-office, etc. I have lived here for just under a year and just recently renewed my lease. My decision is based on an overall good experience and constant improvements to the complex. I work in the Ballantyne area so it is very convenient to the business parks around and there are plenty of things to do within and hosted by Ballantyne itself.The complex itself is very well-kept and I feel like the landscaping company is here 3-4 days out of the week replacing flowers, mowing, planting new trees/grass, cleaning sidewalks etc. They just installed fiber optic internet in all the apartments. The pool is open year-round. The gym features a basketball court and fairly new and maintained equipment. The dog park is big enough for my 45-lbs Pointer to get good exercise.Its a great place to live, and I encourage you to take a look around before you are discouraged by the other negative reviews.

I have lived at the Preserve for almost 10 years. I had to write this review after I read the two negative reviews I saw when I went to the website. Could it be these reviewers had unrealistic expectations? My experience has been incredible living here. The maintenance guys help me above and beyond what is typical. Ive had knee and hip surgery and I have no family here. The staff and the maintenance crew were amazing. This is home. It is because it is safe, clean, and pleasant!

The Preserve at Ballantyne is an attractive and well-maintained property in one of the more desirable neighborhoods in Charlotte. While I cant comment on all the floor plans, my two-bedroom unit, as well as the other two-bedroom unit I considered before making my final selection, is well laid out without any of the boxiness typical of apartment design. The leasing staff is very welcoming and helpful, and my experience with the maintenance staff shows me that theyre willing to go above and beyond a tenants normal expectations in the resolution of maintenance issues. The location of the property is convenient to all types of retail establishments as well as to the Interstate system.

Our Apartment Homes are just this, our Homes. Beautiful, latest features, warm designs, children/pet friendly, though very quiet. Usually never needed, yet available are maintenance 24/7..If you are looking for a apartment home, beautifully maintained grounds with your choice of designs, The Preserves at Ballantyne Commons are the Perfect Homes for you as have been for me.

Moved in at the spur of a moment for a job in the area and instantly regret it. Apartment was freezing during the winter and has been hot all summer no matter what the temperature is set at. Due to poor insulation in the outdated buildings.The units are old. Water pipes busted and for a week brown water came out of the faucet. Management even sent an email saying the water is safe to use, I called BS.I recently found out that they have a known bug problem and they even contract exterminators to come out weekly.We had a roof leak in our extra bedroom that they blamed on poor spot on the roof. Maintenance was quick to come out and did a good job to address it. Im sure the guys have their handful with issues at this place.Good location, medicore management and poor units. 4/10 stars.

I visited here last week and was impressed with the quality and the open space available in this part of town for an affordable rate. I have a family member who is renting here, perfect for someone in their mid twenties- early thirties!

People in front office are sketchy----told me they were sending a quote, then told me it had been leased, then told me that the next one i was interested in was held on extension but would send me a quote the next morning. Still didnt get the quote after I called that morning, and when I called again was told that unit had been leased since I would have had to lease it within 4 hours, which they had neglected to tell me before. Found out I should go online, which again nobody told me before. Was told another quote would be sent. Still no quote. Two units were denied through no fault of mine. Bad system, incompetent personnel.

I get the feeling that CWS isnt providing the local management with the required resources to properly maintain such a prime location apartment complex.I lived here for 6 years (2009-2015). The local management does the best it can with the resources it is provided by corporate but there are obvious problems that get patched instead of fixed because corporate wont provide the necessary resources for the aging community.Each contract renewal the team will sometimes be able to upgrade the apartment features or provide a carpet cleaning. They completely replaced my AC unitFor the price there are lots of new communities that dont have the age problem which may create tenant retention problems for this community. To be competitive, CWS needs to renovate the apartments (new hardware) without spiking the price.Beyond that, the location is great and the people are nice. Made lots of use out of the bricked in gas grills by the pool.The car wash has poor water pressure when using the pressure nozzle but I think you can still hook up your own hose if thats an issue.To be clear, the problems are not a local management or maintenance team issue, they are all fantastic and we will miss them a lot :).

Applied for an apartment and they said we got it. Then next thing we know we get a letter saying you wont rent to us at this time and we had gotten movers and all and it was just a mess. And we were not told why and I called and called and the girl on the phone was mean and very rude said we were not acceptable tenants to live there we were just plain scum. So I would not do business with them at all stay away from them

Great complex for living! The territory is large, well-groomed, very beautiful with fountains and lakes, it is nice to admire the views from the window of your apartment. The houses have 2-3 floors, so there are not many residents, which creates a sense of privacy. Plenty of free parking space. There are many types of recreation for residents: a very cozy pool, always clean with sea salt; cozy, comfortable barbecue area; well-equipped sports facilities, playground; constant free interesting events for residents - group fitness classes, holidays and much more. I am very pleased with the attitude and speed of reaction of the office when contacting us: they are always ready to help and solve your problems. Really care about us. The apartments are warm, clean and everything works, there are a lot of places for storing things. There are no insects, large balconies.Problems are quickly resolved if something happened. A wonderful office area, it is beautiful, cozy and comfortable there like in expensive hotels.Our family is comfortable and pleasant to live here.I put a four, having removed one star for minor flaws: one of the doors at the pool constantly does not work, to enter the pool territory; the stairs in the houses are not safe enough and they are not very clean, not all lamps are on in the barbecue area, sometimes it turns out to be too dark to cook; the drinking tap near the tennis court does not work. But these are minor flaws, which, I am sure, will soon be eliminated.For greater convenience, I would like the complex on the playground to have an area with a roof, at least above the swing, and a small area with sand for children to play with sand. And a dedicated track for childrens riding bicycles or scooters throughout the complex.
