The property management team that manages our complex is made up of the most considerate and responsive people I have met in a long time. Myself and my family love living here and we have no complaints! I would definitely recommend The Kelston to anyone looking for a nice and quiet place in this area! Lastly, I would like to leave a HUGE compliment to the property manager Jacquelyn, who goes above and beyond to make sure any concerns or needs we have are met. She always greets me with a smile and I can tell she puts her all into her work. I will never forget a time I saw her outside cleaning up our dumpster area which showed me she genuinely cares! She is the best and we love where we live.

Within the past year, I have seen a vast amount of different backgrounds of people moving into the complex and have not heard of any complaints. The children play together as though they already knew each other and sometimes I see parents outside playing with the kids as well. Everyone is respectful and there are less stereotypical instances occurring as there was before when the whole complex was a majority of one background. Its so refreshing to witness harmony at the pool, in the workout room and just on the grounds of the property.

Jackie is one of the nicest conscientious person I know. He answered all my annoying questions and spent endless time with me on the phone. The world needs more people like her. Looking forward to my beautiful apartment.

I highly recommend this apartment complex and community for anyone who decides on renting an apartment it’s very affordable.

I was only able to do a phone tour with Jacquie but she did a fantastic job. I actually felt like I got more information and pictures via email and phone than some of my in person tours at other properties. The main reason we decided not to lease was because our jobs are in the west side of Charlotte and the commute was too much. But we were so grateful for Jacquie’s time! What a joy!

I had the most amazing experience with Property Manager, Jacquelyn. She was reliable, genuine, and actually cared about my concerns. During this Pandemic I have been transitioned to work from home, and as one may experience there are a lot of adaptations when it comes to that. I had to move my entire office into the second bedroom of my apartment. She soothed my nerves with advising that there wouldn’t be loud noises during the day, as I have usually been in office. The property is affordable and always on the cleanliness side of things. The property is relatable for all ages as well. I highly recommend the Kelston Apartments in NC. You wouldn’t be disappointed!

As I am reading through some of the previously posted reviews, Im starting to think that they were posted by a rival community or fake accounts. I have had nothing but the best experiences here while living at The Kelston. It was touch and go when I first moved in but ever since Jacquelyn has taken the helm as community manager, I can truly say that the community deserves the 5-star rating. She is very kind, extremely responsive and always able to reach, even in an emergency - after hours! One can tell that she is truly passionate about what she does and cares about the tenants. In the instance an issue arises that she is not immediately able to rectify, Jacquelyn *always* makes it her personal priority to get the issue resolved after investing time and research to solve the matter. I highly recommend The Kelston to anyone in the area that is looking to rent. Remember to ask for Jacquelyn!

My husband and I recently toured the Kelston Apartments and have never dealt with someone as professional and informative as Jacquelyn was. From what I’m reading she is the manager of that property and you can tell she takes pride in what she does there. There was not one question she couldn’t answer and had us leaving feeling like we just found our next home.

Excited to watch the changes take place throughout the property and staff. Jacquelyn/Manager will go above and beyond to assist in any matter and is always understanding. The pool area is also well kept. I look forward to the on going changes happening at The Kelston.

The staff is wonderful. The manager Jackie is very diligent and impressive. One super handling an entire property over 310 units. Hey are allsome.

Toured the Kelston with the mindset of moving from Rock Hill, SC to Charlotte. Jacquelyn the manager was very professional and accommodating with all the questions my roommate and I had. Although, the move did not work out. I would highly recommend making the kelston your forever home!

I went in for a mothers day event with my mom and the staff was great we love how they are knowledgeable of their community. Great experience.

The worst place to rent from! They will file for eviction earlier than they are able to because they have lawyers that use underhanded measures so that they can get a easy payout. They dont care about the resident since the resident is not a person to them. The resident is just a stream of revenue for them. I have to call the attorney General now to fix the issue they caused me.It been now over a year and still no fix!!!Dont move here they will use underhanded lawyers with underhanded methods that are borderline illegal to file for eviction before a official late payment.DO NOT MOVE HERE THEY ARE VERY SNEAKY AND SLIMMY BOTTOMFEEDERS!!!

So I just wanted to take time out my day today in moving out the Kelston’s apartment but brung in my sister and her fiancé to move in the spectacular place !!! But the number one women that made everything happen is Jacquelyn Grayson she’s so professional so helpful gets the job done and always make sure all her residents is good plus more !!! Very respectful very loving kind and amazing hearted person ! Please if u wanna move her talk to her she will get u in a great place ! Thanks Jackie for making my stay great ! I absolutely loved the stay thanks uu if u looking for an place to stay please come talk to Mrs Grayson ! She got it going on !

They never fixed anything and Im not too sure previous management wasnt doing something a little shady. Things seem to be changing under new management but Im glad I left. Not worth the money.

Leasing agents will place you in apartments that are not ready and full of repair issues and then ignore any request to make repairs after 2 months of being here I have had no heat at all. Every request has been answered with Im sorry we are working on punch list items this week How lame!!

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I’ve dealt with plenty of property management companies and this is by far the worst. The entire office staff is unprofessional, especially Marissa. They are not upfront about costs and changed specials without letting us know, as well as tried to make us sign a 24 month lease when our application clearly said 12. They never answer the phone or EMAIL back which is the easiest form of communication. I declined to move forward with them after they mentioned a move in special that they changed because the apartment that they chose for me wasn’t ready on the first of the month due to them not cleaning it. She assigned me another apartment and then said that still wasn’t ready. It was just way too much to have dealt with for 3 weeks of time. That same day I found a much better living space, Barrington Place. It’s lovely and the staff are welcoming and actually find joy in assisting people with finding a roof over there head. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO MOVE HERE OR AVALON APARTMENTS. They are run under the same company.

Community needs better up keep

Nasir has to be the most professional person I have ever encountered when it comes to getting an apartment. His professionalism led me to a very speedy move in process. I absolutely recommend speaking to him if you’re considering living here. Excellent customer service.

I knew I got it right once I met Maria. I spoke to her about a week before my potential move in day to schedule a tour and the fact that she remembered our conversation amazed me. My apartment is perfect and maintenance has been responsive to any concerns I’ve had. Overall great place, great service for a great rate.

Worst place you could ever live they’re nasty and rude when you tell them about issues that’s been in place they get an attitude or don’t respond especially from jacquelyn pest control never came since I’ve been here and I’m charged for that and more I’m not getting it’s ridiculous this place needs a lot done starting with maintenance and staff moved in i had multiple unusable items that are still unusable after almost a year

The apartments are in very bad condition, I have been asking for a request for 10 months because the air conditioning has not worked and they do nothing, the administration is very poor, and the maintenance is worse, if you are looking for an apartment this is not a good option. These apartments is the worst you can live

The Kelston has always been a calm place for me. Crime issues have never been a major issues but that will not happen if you pay attention to the company you bring to the community. I haven’t had any major issues other then the new tow company LOL. But as far as living they fix maintenance order within 24-48 hours. We are finally getting the rent office back builded since they have separate from sharing a building I see a lot of improved in the complex. Valet trash is a plus on top on the making sure in AM some one is cleaning up the property. The staff are nice as well but Jacquelyn has been going above & beyond since I moved in this apartment and she goes out her way to make sure she & her staff keep they promise so I will be renewing for the 3 times over here because I don’t have any issues on my side where I stay & I LOVE THAT THE PEOPLE ACTUALLY TRY TO MAKE US FEEL LIKE THEY CARE I give 10 stars ❗️

Environment is very unsafe. gun fires, cops always getting called to the area, trashy, and people are always fighting. My car was robbed recently, the thief’s went into my glove compartment and stole earphones.Had to reach out to head office before maintenance came to fix our sink after almost 10 request.Just don’t come here!

Do not come to this place they will move you in to a no ready appointment bc they are money hungry this place is trashed and pest infested no maintenance no help at all They don’t even keep up with their part of the lease agreements I have been here since September of last year I have yet to see or have had any Maintenance help do mot move in this place

My nerves were up in the beginning and he made the experience worthwhile!!!!!!!!!!!!!...……..ONE MONTH LATER......After the whole move in experience it has been a complete DISASTER!!! I never leave reviews but this company is ridiculous when it comes to taking care of business professional! Had the same water leak since the day I moved in and dont respond to emails!

Any good reviews posted are fake because these apartments are terrible. Their old & raggedy & should be torn down in rebuilt. The people they have hired to run are extremely unprofessional. Maintenance is a joke my tub has cracked for the 4th time & they just plaster over it & it cracks again of course. Appliances are old in goes out. My toliet in my Master bedroom had been broken for months. Hot water not working. Had a leak in the living that started growing mold. Had to call Code department to make them fix it. They tried to take me to court for withholding rent but I had so much evidence they dismissed it. Management changes every other month & so does the name. If you move here after reading reviews from The Avalon, Stanford Reserve or now known as the Kelston you deserve the misery that comes with living here in these raggedy over priced slums. When my lease up I would stay in a hotel before I renew another lease.

This property is now linked with the Avalon across the street Incase that confuses you... it confused me at first lol. I found myself in a tough situation when I needed to get into a place right away. Nasir good customer service

This complex keeps changing names I’m assuming to get away rom the horrible reviews! I will go to every name they have a let people know the entire team as a whole are unprofessional and have a lack of urgency for any maintenance issues! I’ve been wait over a year for a dishwasher to be fixed, blinds to be put back up! My water in my sink is literally dripping and has been for 4 months now! My tub and sink have been painted and it’s peeling for the last 6 months! Today they come to my apartment while I’m at work and leave a note saying they don’t have a key. After a year of waiting! I was promised when I resigned my lease all would be fixed and that was in November and I’m still waiting! Stay away

My roof has been leaking since September 2018 and they have made no efforts to fix it yet. There is mold in the apartment. They are forever switching management and names of the properties to cover their negligent tracks. I would Run the other way.
