Went in today to start my apartment search. Tiffany was super friendly and helpful! She showed me a 2 bedroom and a 3 bedroom that were both super nice. Hopefully everything goes well and I can move in soon. It seems like a great place to live, and Tiffany was very informative, not only about the apartments, but also about the area.
Brittany helped me get into my new home and I love it so much! She did amazing and was so helpful. Such a great face to the company! Cutos to tiffany and Jillian as well such a great team.
Tiffany, Jillian, and Brittany are truly a dream team to have in charge of peoples homes. They are so helpful and go above and beyond to make this place wonderful for me.
First time I ran dishwasher, It immediately started leaking while I was in the laundry room. I came out, saw water flowing onto floor, and grabbed a large towel. Turned dishwasher off. Called maintenance and he came out on Monday. He fixed a pipe connection and let it run a few minutes. Next day I loaded the dishwasher. Dishwasher turned on, started leaking within a minute. Another person showed up and did some things to the dishwasher. It started fine, and ran without leaking. I opened the door and saw the whole thing move inside the cabinet. I could see 2 brackets that were not attached to the counter top. I have not seen them to tell them about the brackets. I am glad they came by to help.I am here on short-term lease, maybe these are the older apartments for people who are temporary.Dishwasher leaking again!Renting an apartment with appliances included means everything should work, or repaired!I spoke to the office in person yesterday and thr woman stated she would look into the repair issues. The time it is taking for these minor repairs is well beyond reasonable amount required by NC law
We dealt with Sarah in the leasing office and she was just awesome in every respect!! The application was simple and easy online, actually everything was done online renters insurance !! as signing the lease was done online!! we only had to go by the leasing office to do a walk-through and pick up the keys !! Me and my family are going to love living at Madison South Park !
I’ve been renting here for a month and there’s been issues since day one. Obviously I was moved into an apartment that was not ready to be rented. Which I couldn’t understand why, because I paid my rent in full months in advance.Multiple things wrong from the moment I moved in. I couldn’t use one of my restrooms for 2 weeks and the balcony was practically caving in one section (that took a month to fix and was something so simple)I had no water in my kitchen for 3 days. Then when they finally replaced the faucet....guess what. Still leaking.Good luck getting anything fixed correctly because the maintenance crew is super lazy and does the bare minimum. Everyone is very nonchalant at Madison Southpark. The apartment is beautiful, great amenities, nice location......but the staff needs more sense of urgency and to stop dragging their feet. Not what I expected at all my first month here.
The location of this community is perfect! Couldnt be any closer to all my favorite shops, stores and restaurants without being right in traffic too. Neighborhood is charming, but old. I think the rental rate is definitely too high for the condition of the apartments here. This is my second time leaving an apartment in this community and Im unimpressed by the lack of effort that goes into maintaining each unit between renters.. carpets were all cleaned not replaced, walls were half repainted, everything else seemed thrown together. I think those little things make a huge difference at the end of the day, but you really cant beat this location!
I lived here nearly three years. The office staff changed often and it was not responsive. Maintenance staff did just the bear minimum and did not call ahead to say when they would come by. That was when they actually had a maintenance staff. Upstairs neighbors were horrible (let their kids run wild and drop food and other sticky things continuously on our balcony. Management did NOTHING to help with this problem. The location is great, that is the saving grace of this property.
The staff is really nice and informative! Sarah at the front office set us up with everything to make sure we were accommodated to and is very responsive even if shes not in office which I appreciate a lot. The apartment complex is in the perfect area for everything too, its great!
We rent an apartment, it is nice, very spacious and has a beautiful view. The best is the location. We also highlight the attention from Sarah Teumer, she was so kindly and helpful with us.
Really lucky to have such a good team managing this property. Moved from out of state and they were extremely patient and helpful. I had several issues moving, but the staff helped me get set up comfortably.
Sarah was a really nice person and she was willing to work with me.she was also always available for questions.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Rent is affordable given the area. Urgent care, restaurants, malls and shopping centers, library, banks, and grocery stores all within five minutes drive. The only downside is the bugs, pest control could use improving. But otherwise a positive experience overall. I would recommend to family and friends.
I was very happy with the speed my furnace filter was deliver to my door
I had submitted two requests for Maintenance repair. One issue was quickly resolved (i.e., vertical blind replacements and the fixture which had become loose, was securely fixed to the wall), The washing machine needed replacement and the electrical plug needed replacement. It took three days for completion but it was done safely and professionally.
The staff helped me with the move in process. I am happy about my apartment.
My family and I absolutely love Madison South Park apartments, they are so professional, promptly responsive to any need we may have !!! Donna in the front office has been FANTASTIC, PROFESSIONAL, always SUPER Helpful and most of all, FRIENDLY all the time, every time !!!! Shawn in maintenance has taken care of anything we ever needed with kindness and urgency!!! And last but NOT LEAST, John, is the ABSOLUTE BEST, super great person, if you need something done in your apartment, he’s the one, punctual, efficient, professional, friendly, helpful!!! I can’t say enough about our experience with Madison South Park front office and staff, love our garden apartment in the heart of South Park, what a great decision to choose living here !! Come join us !!
While apartment searching, the service I received from here was absolutely wonderful. Donna worked with me and provided such kind, knowledgeable, and quick help. She really made me feel right at home and was so friendly throughout the whole process. While I went with a different apartment due to the price being a bit out of my budget, I highly recommend checking this place out if youre apartment searching in the area!
EVERYONE IVE TALKED TO ARE ABSOLUTE ROCK-STARS! WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE!(:
1) roach infestation is true. Not just the big outdoor kind (palmetto bugs) get in from outdoors, but also the small, gross, e.coli-carrying type. Further, they dont seem concerned about getting rid of them. We had an infestation from neighbors on the other side of the building but it never got better. Just worse until I moved to a new building. ($800 in moving bills later) still, two months after moving into our new place, we see roaches each week.2) numerous break-ins and thefts in cars each week. Motorcycle stolen, you name it.3) yes, tenants had the police called to our building 16 times in the first 6 months of 2016. Also, numerous visits by paramedics each week.Response by management is that they wanted to wait for the tenants lease to expire and not renew despite numerous complaints from neighbors and concern for our safety.4) new renovations are a joke and not comparable to the model or to what the renovated apartments were like under fairington.5) management doesnt communicate effectively with anyone, it seems. Emails go unreturned for weeks. Nagging after them like children is the only way to get results. And even then, it takes days to get a reply and promised timeframes that not followed.Further, they tend to be argumentative and scapegoat anyone they can to make excuses for why things are as they are.6) the standard of living here is a looooong way from luxury. (See attached photos)
I’m sorry, I don’t remember his name, but he was prompt, ready and fast. Thanks.
I was so happy with how quickly my problem was taken care of. Brandon was very professional and friendly. Much appreciated!
Ive been a resident for 3 years and never had a single complain about this place. When it was Fairview apts, it was great, after they sold it to Robbins Properties and changed it to Madson Southpark in 2016 its when it started going downhill. They forced renovations in every single apartment and raised rent to $150 more per month. Their management is terrible. They created a forum where residents can communicate, but they delete every single one of the complaints even if the complaint is reasonable. They say that the forum is not place for negativity, but they are simply trying to save their own image. They scheduled renovations with this contractors and set up a date. As a resident you where responsible of cleaning up the area and taking everything out of the way or if the renovations were delayed bc of you the consequences would come with a fine. So we cleaned up it all for the date they scheduled that was September 1st...our renovation only started on the 20th. So all this 20 days weve been eating out bc the main renovation was to be in the kitchen. When we asked the leasing office what was going on they never knew when the renovations was really going to start and were always passing responsibility to the contractos. Plus we were flooded with all this sorry notices. So basically if you delay it you pay a fine, but if your apartment is upside down for 3 weeks for a delay that is not your fault, its still your problem. Our neighbors have two dogs and pets had to be in a cage for the entire day during renovation and they were complaining that they had to cage their dogs all these days for nothing because the contractors hadnt start anything in their apartment. Ive been so disappointed that Im just waiting for my lease to end so I can move out. The renovations are a joke. We lost the microwave and good storage just so they could put some useless lights above the stove. The big joke of all this renovation are the doors they replaced in every single bedroom. It is small and dont close properly. Even with the door closed you can still see inside a room. When you leave with roommates, goodbye privacy. If they just kept doing what the other management was doing, waiting for people to move out to start renovation, but they had to put us into such discomfort only for the sake of raising the rent. It is October 1st and the renovations in my apt is still ongoing
Its been great so far. We recently moved in, and the staff is so helpful and if you need some maintenance done, they get to it as soon as possible. Its also such a beautiful area!
I lived here years ago when it was brand new ! I knew what I was doing this time — great location, good staff, I like the prompt attention !You might think about hand rails with the multitude ofSteps here - I only have 5, but that could be a problemIn the future!
As usual, maintenance was quickly on the job when my air unit died. They are always polite, very efficient and concerned with my well-being.
I am a longtime resident of Madison South Park (previously the Fairington) and it is excellent, especially with the current Manager, Donna, office staff and Maintenance. Best recommendation : I just signed a new lease !
I had a great experience getting this apartment. Between working with the workers of madison southpark to sign for the apartment and actually getting here to unpack and move in, everything was done quick. Great people here, love it already. Workers staying and hour later than theyre supposed to just to help make sure we get our keys and everything. Awesome place, 10/10.
The team at Madison SouthPark are amazing. Tiffany, Jillian and Brittany listen to the residents and are always pleasant. I enjoy living at this property! Josh works had to get all the maintenance stuff done as well.
This place is nice ... great customer service also big spaces
Theres a reason Ive lived at Madison Southpark for over eight years. I love the spacious rooms, washer and dryer and all the amenities. But more importantly I love the the people who manage Madison, theyre great no matter my request they always come through.Located in the heart of Southpark its also convenient to Harris Teeter and Whole Foods, not to mention all the stores at Southpark mall and the specialty shops in the area, all within blocks of Madison Southpark.
We had a great experience with Sarah from meeting to move in! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Have ALMOST always had a good experience. Donna is wonderful but you could use some more qualified help with the maintenance staff
Only giving one star because 0 is not allowed. Absolutely awful experience with new management. We renewed our lease in Jun 2016 under old management and were never given any information, warning, or options regarding new management. In January 2017 we contacted front office about options for ending our lease early, as we knew rent would be increasing (thanks to new management) and did not make sense to stay, so we decided to purchase a home. Were told that 60 day notice was required, but there were no penalties. Lease had been signed electronically under old management, so we did not have a copy. When submitting notice of ending the lease, were told we owed over $2,000, but management still could not find a copy of our lease. It took weeks to find a copy. Since moving out, we never receive a bill or invoice, but 6 months later just received notice from a DEBT COLLECTOR that we still owe money. I have near perfect credit, so this is mind-blowing to me. Forwarding address and email addresses are on file, so there was no issue reaching us. Absolutely disgusted, and do NOT recommend this group to anyone. Not worth the horrific management and increasing prices.
Visited Madison Southpark this week. Met two long term residents who had maintained residency for over 15 years. JoAnn was terrific hostess and graciously and patiently toured us through the apartment model we would be renting. Well maintained complex and wonderful amenities. You will like it.
Had a great experience with Elizabeth here - she was able to answer all of my concerns and questions, as well as help me figure out the best fit for me. Highly recommend speaking with her if you’re looking to move in.
Maintenance came quickly to fix my issue.
I have lived here over two years and I love it.It is affordable in a great location in Charlotte. Not a bad commute to uptown. My apartment is right near the woods and its beautiful - like living in a treehouse. The only negative part of that is more bugs and cobwebs on my porch, but Its worth it.I have never had any issues with management. Everyone In the leasing office is pleasant and helpful. My apartment kitchen got renovated while I was living in it, and while it was an inconvenience at the time, was not that big of a deal. I love the new appliances. They have a convenient resident online community where you can pay rent, connect with neighbors and submit maintenance requests. 90% of the time I have submitted a maintenance request, it is taken care of within 12 hours or less. I never have to follow up on it. Its great!
Great place to live. Great maintenance.
I have been in this apartment for past 2 years and the overall experience was good. The location is unbeatable. It is the calm apartment in heart of the town. The Only thing management may need to consider is its dull outlook.
I really wish I had did more research before I moved into this dump. Living here has been a nightmare from the very start.Edit: Of course theyll reply with that generic response blah, blah, blah. They are very up to date on my dissatisfaction of their property. Ive only been able to get any resolution to anything after I notified Charlotte Code Enforcement.
Poo poo magement
Location is great! Very safe and walking distance from a lot of things. I have never had any bugs inside and they keep it very clean outside! Aside from dog owner who dont care about picking up the poop. The only bug problem is roaches in the summer time outside, they like to live in the rocks. When I moved in I was supposed to be getting a fully renovated apartment but there were things that were not in the best condition like the bath and toilet. The staff is very friendly but sometimes slow to attend. I have had a flood in the bathroom and water went downstairs to the neighbor. It took them a long time to come to assist. The assistant workers are very nice and they do their job it is the office that doesnt communicate with the outside staff. Other then that if you love the area it would be a great place to live and most importantly it is very safe!
The new management I feel is much better than the previous. She is quick to respond to an issue and has been very helpful. Although this place has issues it helps to communicate with someone who is professional and understanding.
I wish I could give this place less than a 1 star.Ive done contract work all over the country for almost 20 years and lived in at least 15 apartments. Since Im never able to be in the city/state when I select the apartment, I have to go by their pictures on the the apartments website. Some times it works out and sometimes, like this one, it doesnt. This apartment was by far the worst Ive ever rented. The apartment was not cleaned, so the apartment associate had to call the cleaning crew in to clean the apartment before I could move in. You could literally see every block of sheet rock on every wall, in every room. The patch work on the walls were terrible. The bathtub had so many touch-ups from scratches, it was almost like looking at a cats scratching post, with globs of caulking. Dont expect them to come running if/when you have any issues either. I called/emailed many times about a leak I started noticing in the bathroom ceiling. I either got a Thanks for letting us know or Well send someone over soon from the office. Well, after about 4 weeks, the ceiling became so bad that the popcorn starting cracking and pieces of it was starting to fall to the floor. After sending emails with pictures, the office finally sent over one of their flunkies to look at it. Took him a day to try and repair the ceiling. It looked worse then before. He never replaced the moldy sheet rock. All he did was threw some mud on the crack and hosed down the stain with bleach. The cracked part of the ceiling was still hanging and the bathroom still wreaked of mold. The apartment associates werent any better. Took me 4 times to finally get them to add my renters insurance to my profile. 3 associates and 1 manager. Heres what the office doesnt tell you until you sign the lease, at least I wasnt told this. They say you get free cable and internet. IT ISNT FREE! Its part of your rent! Heres whats really cool. They force you to have it. Even if I didnt want the cable/internet, I was told I would still have to pay for it because its part of my rent. I hope you like roaches. as they called them Palmetto bugs. The apartment was infested with them. The best part of this was I was being charged for pest control. REALLY!!! Paying for pest control and still have roaches. What a joke! After renting so many apartments throughout the decades, I learned to select the smallest least I can get. This way, if I run into any problems with the office or apartment, I can leave after 3 or 6 months and Im not stuck for a whole year. Thats exactly what I did. I ran after my 5 month lease was up. WORST APARTMENT EVER!!! I still have the pictures of all the issues, especially the great repair work on the bathroom ceiling. Have fun if you rent an apartment from these guys.
I have lived at the Fairington for over over 4 years and have had no problems. The service is excellent, it is very convenient to everything, movies, shopping, churches, and near the bus line. I would recommend this complex to anyone. Very well maintained and the grounds are beautiful. I tell people I live in a tree house, it is so well maintained.
Delis was awesome!! She helped me get qualified quickly and Mrs. Shelly couldnt have been more prompt and responsive in making the application process as easy as possible. Grateful for the two and my new apartment!!
This place is a joke. I’ve lived here for 3 years and had 4 or 5 owners. There’s been broken/missing gym equipment I’ve emailed management for 6 MONTHS, and no one had the courtesy to respond let alone replace. There’s a minimum 2 emails to get office to respond to any requests. The pool across from the leasing center was closed nearly all year last year and they are continuing the streak this year. If you’re willing to pay 1,300+ for an apartment you could do better at new buildings with consistent ownership. The only redeeming feature of this place is the location.
I love my new home and all the renovations. I had a small issue while going through the renovation. I called the office and they rectified everything pretty quickly. Now I love everything.
There was a recent change in management and from what I have seen this month it is only going to go downhill. You have to bring a check in to the office if you are splitting rent. They added payments to the bill after the due date and expect you to pay that period, another trip into the office. You have to bring a check in because there is a charge for pulling from a bank account online (which I have never seen).I will not be renewing my lease, they are totally unwilling to help rectify their mistakes and fail to see how simple changes to their billing structure would make their residents happier.
Sarah is absolutely amazing!!!
In a great location, however the pool wasnt open for the first half of the summer; pest control is supposed to spray the outside of the complex every week (per the pest control fee we pay each month) and they only come upon request; they will give you a deal on your base rent, but you should expect that theyll raise you rent when you renew to market rate; overall not the best experience. Youd expect more for what you pay for.
I felt compelled to write something because people are so dramatic and over the top with their assessments of living in these places that you cant actually get a good idea of what the place is like. Overall I had a good experience but there were some thing that are frustrating at times. Ill write out the good and the bad and let you decide. The good: I liked my apartment and got a good price on it. The area was peaceful and the apartment was comfortable. The TV and Wifi built in to the lease was nice. Had a few issues with the internet at times but overall it worked great. Plenty of parking and a great area near lots of great stores and restaurants. The bad: There were some cockroaches but once I laid some traps down, I had no more issues and I did see them spraying quite regularly. My main issue was with the AC. My AC stopped working and they didnt fix it most of my stay there. they would do work on it and it would work for 2 weeks and then stop working again. They did take a while to get to service requests but when they did they did a great job. This is def a good place to live for the money, esp considering how expensive charlotte is getting. overall really enjoyed my time there, check it out and see if it works for you.
Ive been here the past 18 months and thank God my lease is coming to an end. New management is a mess and isnt even worth complaining to the office with my lease ending in 60 days as you know nothing will come as a result. Roaches are absolutely everywhere (I dont leave food out and clean religiously) yet they charge a pest treatment fee that must be some sort of joke. AC went out during the hottest week of the summer and I had to submit 4 service requests over 8 days for them to actually come out and fix it so it would last for more than 12 hours before going out again. For what you pay there are far better places to live in the area.
Elizabeth was a great help! Love the area and could not be happier with the apartment!
This is by far the worst apartment complex in South Park. Management is rude, they are not ethical and have awful customer service. Delis, a former sales assistant, was a breath of fresh air in that office but she left, good for her... I would never recommend this place to anybody looking for an apartment. Run far away from this madhouse called Madison South Park.
Management is friendly and helpful! The location in convenient and close to shopping and dining. Im very pleased with the community!
Ive been here for 2 years now (3 different property management companies) and the apartments are fine. They are nothing fancy but I love the location.I received my renewal notice folded up and tucked into my front door decoration, no envelope, not stapled closed, just wide open for anyone to look at. Management doesnt seem to care about trying to keep good residents by providing any sort of incentive other than offering an early deadline renewal rate, otherwise the price jumps way up. They also add in an annual amenity fee which had previously been nonexistent and covered by monthly rent.Maintenance does a good job at fixing anything that you inform them of, but you might never receive any sort of note that they were ever in your apartment which bothers me since sometimes you have to just hope the problem is fixed and that it was them that were in your home and not someone else.Location is great but everything else is just ok.
Horrible experience with this complex. When we moved in, the apartment was infested with cockroaches. We got the apartment sprayed at least 4 different times and it took 8 months of living with them for them to finally go away, and we got no compensation for it. Then, when it came time for us to move out, I sent two emails on the email address provided on the website, and they said they dont have record of it and that we didnt give written notice and made us pay for another two months rent. They said that we had to sign a notice of vacancy letter in the lease, but they never gave us a copy of the lease when we moved in. Also in the letter they sent us reminding us of when our lease ended, it never said to obtain that letter and that we just need to provide written notice, which I did, but apparently they dont have record of it. I would NOT recommend this apartment complex.
Read some good reviews and read some disheartening reviews. I think I read too many regarding CockRoaches to consider another location. I did like the Gym photos. Just cant do Bugs
This is a horribly managed complex. They do not care if it is unsafe. We literally had a drug dealer downstairs from us. I truly think he was making meth. Police were there three times. Had his own security system. I mean from cameras to a complex locks. Why do you need that, running around naked outside..What did management do? Nothing.
I moved in 3 weeks ago and love the location. Its an easy walk to Phillips Place, Whole Food, Morrison Library and Southpark Mall. Leasing office has always been readily available by phone to answer my questions. The community is under new management/rebranding so there are expected hiccups, but that having owned for 17 years they are nothing compared to the headaches of home ownership and HOAs. The complex is older but there have been some nice updates over the years. Unit is spacious and I love the outdoor living on the balcony.
This new management team is horribly incompetent. The payment system is indeed problematic, but the biggest issue is the lack of communication and blatant disregard for the residents.I would recommend living here if you really want to be forced to clear out your kitchen on short (
I love it here. Great price for the living in SouthPark. Great school district and the proximity to the mall and all the shopping make this a great place to live.
This is the worst and most expensive apartment Ive ever lived in Charlotte. The staff women I spoke with was very rude. I never saw so many cockroaches in my life. When my husband went to complain about the roaches they said that it was not roaches, but palmetto bugs - maybe for us to feel better about it. Well, if palmetto bugs look like cockroaches and walk like cockroaches, then they are freaking cockroaches! My apartment had roaches and other bugs. It was disgusting when we moved in, the bathtub had a lot of hair and was super dirty. The carpet was still freaking wet, and they still were cynical to ask my movers to not step on the wet carpet.
DONT RENT HERE!!!! JUST DONT DO IT!!! There was a recent change in management and its downhill quick. They added a ~$30 convenience fee for using a credit card to pay online and a ~$2 fee per month if you setup an autopay out of your bank account. Theres also a $15 dollar fee for trash pickup that you must pay. So youll end up paying more then the rent price. On top of that, they are forcing us to let contractors into our apt in the middle of weekdays to do upgrades that we dont wont. They are ripping out half of our cabinets and the microwave to add more of a open feeling. In there place, they are adding stupid extra hanging lights. The cabinet space is already low! Where am I going to store my food?!? This is only phase one and will take 3 weekdays. My guess is that I will have people coming in and out of my apt while Im at away for the next month.THERE ARE ROACHES HERE. My apt is roach free, but if I cut on the light on my 3rd floor deck, I see 3-5 scurry away. On the 3rd floor!!!.... I bet the 1st floor is covered in them.Carpet is horrible. It feels and looks like 20yr old carpet.I will not be renewing my lease, they are totally unwilling to correct any of these simple issues. I see that a person is responding to the newer post with BS to save face. No we do not want to go to that unhelpful, incompetent office. All I want is to be skipped in the upgrading process. Wait until people move out, its that simple. Youre rating will tank, then youll lower the rent to attract new people, and then this apartment complex will fill up with trash. Whoever is that project managers or businessmen that decided to force renovations while people live there needs fired. Its a very poor business strategy when online rating control your success.
Y’all need to do something about the cockroaches; we’ve had our apartment sprayed and have killed multiple since. It’s discussing. Also the WiFi doesn’t work; my roommate can’t even do her homework in her own room because the WiFi is terrible.
The only thing I hate is we have no designated parking. If you dont come home early and park youll be parking three buildings away! I stayed in communities where we at least have one assigned to our Apartment building!
Cool apartments nice environment friendly staff.
1. New management (Robins Property Associates) forced mandatory renovations in every single apartment, while occupied-extremely inappropriate. I have never heard of any other apartment complex doing so.2.Management threatens residents with fees if they fail to comply with every aspect of renovations, including cleaning up beforehand, and letting workers into our apartment homes (unsupervised by apartment staff). They advise us to secure all of our belongings beforehand, yet bedroom doors cannot be locked from the outside. Renovations constantly delayed. 3.After renovations were completed, microwaves, ceiling fans, and some cabinet spaces were taken out and not replaced. 4.Parking lots have turned into a construction site, due to renovations. 5.New management raised rent $150 6.Constant issues with water bills involving charges not being listed on rent bills. 7.An online forum was created on complex’s payment website. When people complain, management deletes post even if reasonable. They say their forum is not a place for negativity in order to save their image.8.Convenience fee assessed in order to pay rent online with credit card. The option of paying through a bank account (free) was taken away 9.Complex utilizes Valet Waste, to collect trash, which automatically costs $25 extra per month, without option. Valet Waste trash collectors are rude. They are loud and arrive late. They make huge issues of petty things, such as trash bags not being placed in the container provided (which do not hold much trash). They say they collect recycling, but throw all bags in dumpster.10.Upon renewing lease, while complex was still owned by former management, residents were not informed that complex was being sold, nor about any interior renovations 11.New management very rude. Refuses to compromise with residents in the slightest. Leasing staff has the tendency to talk down to residents and to keep them waiting while they talk on phone. 12.Maintenance is rude. Work orders must be called in 3 and 4 times before maintenance begins to be performed. 13.The couple that lived below me had 2 chiwawas with really bad separation anxiety. Whenever my downstairs neighbors left, barking and howling started. Leasing office refused to do anything about the problem. 14. cockroaches. 15.Numerous car break-ins occurred recently; new management consistently refuses to take any responsibility/action.
This new management company is GARBAGE! Im a little pissed I signed a new 12 month lease right before before The Fairington was taken over and subsequently became Madison Southpark. Nothing but headaches. Stupid charges for everything. Cant wait for my lease to be up.
We lived here for 1 year, when we received our 60 day notice from the apartment to either sign a new lease or elect to move out and the monthly rent went from $975 per month for our one bedroom to $1280 per month. Are you kidding me? Who would stay in a place that increases the rent 30% in one year. My wife an I opted to buy a house instead of dealing with the poor management and the outdated and lipstick on a pig condition these apartments are in.
Get everything in writing. They will misinform you and use that to keep your money. Terrible communication and customer service. Would never rent from them. Glad I did not sign a lease.
Management is very helpful! Convenient location to everything in Charlotte.
Staff is so rude! Regretting moving here so much, but they dont do sub-lease. Its a gamble, you can either pay 4 months rent to leave, or pay 2 and then pay until they fill the room, which could be 2 weeks, or 3 months! Staff doesnt respect that Im a paying customer and so rude, to the point where they argued on the phone with me, and its like pulling teeth to get a question answered and they never follow up. I had a maintenance request because the shower was leaking and theyre response was sorry couldnt fix it. Wish I could leave zero starts for this overpriced, rude place. Cant wait to move out!
Roaches that move from unit to unit that theyll tell you are your fault. Its funny because I see everyone else here has had the same issue, so Im gonna say its not my fault. Now after 2 sprayings theyre 100% gone- but the pest control guy made sure to take my personal documents and scatter them all over my floors. Maintenance cant be trusted and will walk into your apartment without consent at any old time he wants to for whatever reason he wants to. He also makes sure to fly through the complex on that golfcart causing a hazard to those in vehicles because he pops out of nowhere going as fast as that thing will go. Ive had countless issues with the management which changes every 6 months, youre never dealing with the same person. I miss the original management and shouldve taken my money and left when they did. I have had so many issues being personally disrespected here and I have never had a rental problem in my entire life before moving here. Ive had neighbors express their frustations to me about the complex as Ive walked by many times. The location is what kept me there. However, I could go live in Manhattan for the same price at the rate that rent is skyrocketing. They take 0 responsibility for anything. I like to leave good reviews when I have a good experience, but I would not recommend anyone live here ever. Unless you are ready to be disrespected on many levels and I dont think anyone deserves that in their own home.
DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE Ive lived here for over a year and a half. I just renewed my lease for 6 months to avoid a $200 month to month fee while i look for something better. The day after i signed the new lease, these professionals in the leasing office called me and tried to tell me the legally binding contract i just signed had the wrong price on it. Thats the crew you got running this place. They really wanted me to go back and undue the lease and sign a new one that was going to be more expensive. Maintenance never fixes anything. I had a hole in my 2nd floor porch. It took maintenance 5 weeks to come look at it and another 3 weeks for them to hire someone to put one 2x4 in place. My dishwasher still doesnt work after 4 tries. You have been warned. Oh yea, almost forgot, the place has gangs of cockroaches roaming the sidewalks at night. Wasp are nests everywhere. You pay $4 a month for pest control The pool has been closed all summer because these idiots dont have a landline installed. STAY AWAY!!!
I was a tenant of the Fairington Apartment complex for a couple years and overall had a very pleasant experience. The interior was nothing fancy, but the location was great. The Fairington Apartments has gone through some recent management changes and is now the Madison Southpark. I recently relocated to Richmond, VA and had to collaborate with the new office staff to get a copy of my leasing records from the Fairington. I worked with the manager, Keisha, through this process and she was fast and prompt with getting the documents over.
Very professional
Dont live here. Dont even consider it. Most of these negative reviews are true. Mold, yes. Crime, Yes. Old and falling apart, yes. Poor management, yes. Lack of respect, yes. Weve been jerked around by these apartments for too long, finally left. Ill add another to the list, they will try and charge you for all kinds of absurd stuff. Like the time an outside pipe busted and flooded our apt (not our pipe, not our fault, but tried to charge us $1200+ anyway). They suggested that we make a claim on our renters insurance to reimburse the apartments. Huh, what?! Im not a layer, but that might even be considered fraud.
Previous management waited for tenants to move out before renovating.New management renovates while you still live in there.
My experience at Madison South Park has been my worst ever and I only stayed a year. I wish I didnt have to give the one star at all. I thought since it was in South Park that my stay would be better but it was not. The apartments are old and just renovated. When my roommate and I inquired about this place we were told there was not an insect problem. That was very false. The first day we moved in we discovered our apartment was infested with roaches of all sizes. The complex knew our entire building was infested with roaches and still moved us in. Pest control came to our apartment every week and we still had bugs. We dealt with seeing multiple roaches for months until we handled the problem ourselves. Aside from that we had numerous issues with the drainage in our showers and toilets despite having maintenance come. Maintenance is also very slow to address any work orders you put in. We also had mice in our apartment. We saw four. It took the apartment three months to figure out where the mice where coming from. The staff are also not compassionate and could care less about the issues you had. Overall please do not stay here!
-1 Never respond to my emergency calls. The worse place to live.
These people sent me to collections over $200 of stuff that broke because they weren’t installed properly when they remodeled, (eg. the light fixtures in the restrooms fell off in the middle of the night and shattered on the bathroom countertop, they should’ve been glued down) Didn’t even receive some type of notice.
Ive been living here since September of last year. Staff is friendly, if anything breaks, maintenance is there to fix it within 48hrs. Landscaping is kept up with weekly.
Would Not recommend super bat servevis maintenence problems all 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👆
Too big to control.
Thanks Joana for your Help.
