This place is terrible. They don’t care about your quality of life at all. I’m filing complaints with everyone that I can as of today. Do not move here! Maintenance is a complete joke as well as pest control! Furthermore, parking is ridiculous. If you get home too late you’re going to have to park down the street and around the corner. I’m putting a lot of things mildly but please take note of the fact that everyone is telling you not to move here. I wish I would have.
I could complain about these apartments for pages long. But for today specifically I want to talk about the ridiculous pool rules. Not only did they only open up one pool this year, but they barely opened it a month ago. They really act like they are treating the residents to an exclusive resort pool. They have the most hostile pool attendant. That lady alone is so unwelcoming & makes visiting the pool so uncomfortable for my family & I. I saw her kick out a resident today because the lady’s friend wasn’t on the lease. She said it was the pool rules, which as ridiculous as it sounds Coffey Creek does not allow residents to bring any guests. I just find it interesting that she respects that rule but she doesn’t respect the hours stated on the pool rules. In the email it clearly states the pool is open from 10am-10pm 7 days a week, yet it seems like the pool attendant closes when ever she feels like it. I feel that management needs to improve the pool rules & procedures so that residents can actually enjoy visiting the pool.
Worst place on earth. Management doesn’t care about tenets and basically goes out of there way to make life horrible. I would never live here. Strongly suggest driving right past when looking for an apartment
Coffee creek is the worst … they discriminate against tenants I was told that my shower was messed up because my weight pressed against the pipes … basically saying I’m fat .. and I’m only 241 pounds … keba samuels is the property manager and she informed me of that .. then had the nerve to tell me my renters insurance will need to pay to fix my tub and put me in a hotel …. I pay rent over 1000 to live there why I’m told to contact my insurance idk .. I dnt own coffee creek and it’s certainly not my responsibility .. as I mentioned these apartments are outdated and needs work .. no where in my lease indicated a weight requirement to live here … I contact corporate and they told me that things like this happens it’s apart of life … NO … no one deserves to be discriminated against
I was just thinking about moving here but all of the reviews have scared me off so it’s a no for me really hope you guys change things because all of these bad reviews isn’t a good look
This place expects you to pay 1125 for a 2 bed 2 bath apartment and they are so outdated it’s comical! Don’t do it!
This is a great apartment to live at. Very close to supermarkets and restaurants.
I went to visit this place a month prior to applying and was given pricing sheets etc. After realizing they were the cheapest in the area I called to inquire about the application process and the preferred employer program. The lady on the line had great tone and was really helpful with letting me know the discounts I received and that my administrative fee would be refunded if I decided I didnt want the apartment. Which is great for me because I wasnt quite set due to some personal things I had happening. I came to the office that next morning and completed my application. I was approved but before I was approved I was contacted that they had missed a request for an extension which was fine and asked if my move in dates were flexible. They were so I agreed. I have to relocated to LA so when called to cancel my admin fee because thats what I was told I was met with the 72 hour window. Now my issue with thos entire thing is that the property manager is holding me to a clause that was given to me on a sheet a paper a month prior to me actually applying. She states he two employee stated thats not how the conversation went we she hadnt confirmed who I spoke two and like they would willingly admit to wrong doing. Im just overall disappointed in how this office functions and handle customer concerns. Two people on the office had very condescending tones and I was wondering how they maintain employment but I know understand its from the lack of leadership and accountability when it comes to customer complaints. Hopefully their corporate and revisit policy and employment for their current team. You should not have to spend 300.00 more a month to have clear cut policy or accountability for staff.
They do not value their residents . you can can call the office for emergency services in ypur appartement but youll have to be lucky before they come to you. Everytime youll notice that they cut off water without caring about what time most of residents will be back and will need to use water .
I love this place but the rooms are dirty and they shut off the water without warning but five stars
Stayed in coffee creek apartment for a year and half and they move in there on time as far as maintenance goes. I put in my two months notice when I moved out and they still kept my deposit. When I asked why they sent me a picture of two small spots on the floor and said they replaced the carpet in every room. Not sure if they do this to everyone who moves out but u thought that was normal wear and tear.
If I could give a half of a star I would. This place is so old and run down everything leaks neighbors have no consideration for fellow neighbors and dont even waste time calling for help. Leasing agents have their favorites and if you work here and also live on sight you get a huge slap on the wrist the rules does not apply. No one cleans this place they make it look real nice on the outside but walk around on your own do your homework before you come here this place is a DUMP! The office does NOT care about its residents!
Great neighborhood, the staff is great and I love the pools and playground for our son. However, the apartments have old appliances/cabinets/etc. and I feel like Im paying too much, but its a great location and my commute is 7 minutes. I really cant complain!
Been here since February. I love it. Everyone is nice, especially Courtney King. Because of her I was able to get into the complex. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, quite neighborhood. The rent is reasonable and worth every penny spent.
I stopped by here yesterday (July 19, 2016) to try and get a look at an apartment. It was the shortest 3 minutes because I ended up leaving. There were two people in the office. One was a Hispanic lady that was clearly busy so she wasnt the problem. The problem was the white lady who CLEARLY saw my niece and I standing there and not once did she speak or approach us. Instead, she looked at us ( I know this because I looked at her at the same moment) and then got up from her desk and walked the other way. She didnt say if someone will be with me, she didnt ask if I needed anything, nothing. I just left. I had to explain to an excited (She so badly wanted to see the pool) 5 year old why we left so soon. I told her the people were rude and I clearly didnt need to be spending my money here so I will go somewhere else. Just judging off of that, I wouldnt even recommend this place. Terrible experience for a first time guest.
Ive only lived there for year and Im moving out the office staff minus Maureen has no idea what theyre doing the property is dirty the maintenance man dont want to come out when I called and theres a mold problem a huge mold problem. The only reason they got one star is because there was nothing lower than that I wouldnt recommend anyone stay there I had to almost beg for them to cut a bush so that I would able to walk up the sidewalk Ive seen copperheads in mice and the person above me was extremely loud
We would highly recommend this apartment community to any family relocating to Charlotte NC after lived here for a year; we can said our experience living at Coffey Creek has being overall very good. We like to special thanks Ashley Justice who is very professional and help us every step in our transition to NC.
I have lived here since 2009-love this place-Keba and staff are truly wonderful and very understanding of my 11yr son that has special needs, plus any issue that come up are solved quickly and a sense that they care about there tenants plus nice landscape too and I enjoy seeing the family of deer that live somewhere near the property. THANK YOU
Lived here from 2006 to 2007 love my three bedroom apartment. When I move back to N.C will definitely move back into theses apartments.
This was my first apartment and i loved it.. I have lived here since the summer and my apartment is quiet and private. The only issue i had was the the model.. There was no light in my bedroom or living room. I wouldnt say they building is old but it could use a few upgrades.. Especially with being in the area they are in.. All in all, the staff was nice and the neighborhood was quiet.. I wiuld recommend this apt anyone looking for nice apt. on a budget.. Gonna miss it..
Great place to work with an awesome team, that care about our residents.
When i first moved in around 2013 it was great. I stayed 2 yrs, rent went up and quality went down. I moved out and on 5/31 and now they trying to charge me for half of June due to negligence of their staff...Dont do it is all i have to say. You have beem warned
This place is awful. Don’t ever move here.
This place is awful, they make you wait days at a time just to come and look at what’s wrong with your apartment and then wait another 1-2 days for them to fix it. I have spent the last 2 days it’s no air conditioning in 90+ degree heat and all anyone says is “ our maintenance team will be there eventually “ I would only recommend this place if you want to pay luxury apartment prices for 1 star apartment living.
I went to inquire on available apartments in their office today because their website was not up to date (First sign I should have known since it hasnt been updated since 2011). The short-haired lady, who never provided her name nor provided a card, was not pleasant nor welcoming to me as a potential resident. It was as if she did not want me there, unless that was her motive the moment I walked in. The final straw was when she had an attitude because I asked if there was a model or pictures of the Rockwell property to look at. Do they expect people to decide if they want to rent there with half-ass (excuse my language) verbal descriptions? If that is how you treat people who are looking to become a resident, I would hate to see how it is here as a resident. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone. To Coffey Creek, please train your staff on exquisite customer service / friendly approaches and update your website.
The Assistant Manager NOEMI is AWFUL and UNPROFESSIONAL. She’s very rude and does not know how to speak with people.SignedThe leasing Agent that worked there for TWO DAYS🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️😂🙏🏾
The staff is not very knowledgeable as to what should be done when things occur and they do not communicate with one another. The apartments are stuffy, the maintenance do not know how to fix issues. I kept putting in requests for my electricity to be fixed (constant flickering lights & popping noises near the breaker) and they would come and rig up the apartment anyway they could to temporary cease the problems. The areas are trashy (residents leaving food, cups, clothes in the parking lot). The toilets are always getting backed up and the person above me is extremely loud. There is always loud booming noises coming from other apartments. I would not sign a lease here even if this is affordable because you will dread coming home to this daily.
I stayed for 6 months in Coffey creek and loved staying there. I am a s/w proffesional and I was in a 1bed apartment. It was nice, spacious and decent priced 1 bed apartment when compared to other costly apartments/Communities around. The Leasing office and maintenance people were very proffesional, responsible and helpful . I wish i stayed longer but i had to move out of charlotte for my work purposes and they made my moving In and moving out process easier too. Over all its a very good place to stay.
Every month there has been a water main break for the past 17 months.AS a result the water pressure is terrible - Maintenance staff and office staff mysteriously replaced every month for the past 20 months. Property manager is never here and when she is she does not care about her tenants. Moving here would be a very bad choice. My sister and I are moving soon.
Never live here - the rents go up and the service goes down. There have been countless water main breaks in the last 12 months where the entire complex is without water all day. DO NOT MOVE HERE EVER !!
On 12/16/16 I spoke to Donna in regards to a unpaid balance on my account from October. Donna was very unprofessional with me during our phone conversation. I informed Donna that I called and verified with the office that the balance was indeed correct and it was okay to pay the actual balance showing on the residential payment portal. Donna did not research my account instead she argued back and forth with me over the phone saying things such as “well you know your rent is $950.00, why would you pay a partial balance anyway” “ so the extra money just appeared on your account” “well the owners are filing eviction today”. I asked Donna how do you expect me to pay $515 today when I’m going out town today? Her response was “I’m going out of town too.” She informed me that Coffey Creek has contacted me previously and has sent notifications via email. I requested that she verify the alleged emails and notifications because I do read all of my emails from Coffey Creek. I explained to her that I did not have an unpaid balance on my account when I pay my rent, I do not have late fees on my account. Donna also stated someone was in the office and she could not pull the email right then but suggested that I come to Coffey Creek’s office.I was livid after our phone conversation, I came into the office on Friday afternoon and spoke to Keba. I informed Keba of the many issues I’ve had since moving into Coffey Creek such as roaches, and problems with my heating unit. And explained to Keba how furious I was because of an unpaid balance from October and I’m being notified in December. And Donna’s customer service skills did not help the situation. I also requested that she pulled my payment history and verification of the alleged email from Donna/ Coffey Creek.Keba researched my account and explained that my deposit was applied to the rent ledger . She also informed me that the system does an automatic audit on the residential accounts and the balance appeared the day before. Keba apologized and agreed to work with me in regards to the unpaid balance. I don’t have a problem paying the balance but don’t call me while I’m at work and disrupt my day being unprofessional and without facts.Save yourself the time, energy and money!I cant wait to move!
I honestly dont knw why the ratings are even pass 1 star. DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE! Its the oldest apartments in Charlotte. The staff is rude and not helpful. Everyone is nice to future residents everywhere. Cars are broken into & things get stolen. A mercedes emblem was stolen off a car. Its hood here. Anddd heres the best part, theres two pools BUT theres a pool monitor who closes the pool when shes ready to leave. Meaning, the pool is suppose to close at 10 and numerous times its been closed at 9:15 or earlier. The pool monitor also walks around with a clip board harassing residents when they are at the pool. Its summer time and the pool is mostly empty! What kinda foolishness is that. Ive visited numerous apartments in the area and the staff is overly shocked that we even have a pool monitor. The carpets are dirty! Parking is a hit or miss! The only thing that gets done here frequently is grass cutting. I can go on and on about this place but my whole point is DO NOT MAKE THIS PLACE YOUR HOME!
I absolutely love the apartment size and the staff.
Worst apartment I have stayed so far. The only plus is low rent and apart from it, everything is a low low. Here is a list of problems:1. Dirty entrance to apartments - lot of insects, spiders2. Old staircase - wood splinter coming out3. Counter tops are painted on a new move rather than replacing a damaged one. On top of that quality is so so bad that the paint comes off if you scratch the surface by your nails.4. All bathrooms are painted over - the smell of paint stinks5. Termite in the society - bathrooms/patios - all have termite - this can be very unhealthy6. No cleaning performed before a new person moves in - and if you complain...they will tell you to vacate ....7. Most of the appliances dont work at first8. Bugs in the house9. ****YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR DEPOSIT BACK****.While moveout, i asked for a moveout inspection and i was told that they dont do moveout inspection - the main reason for this is as they have to charge and once the person has moved out of the city, he/she is not going to come back to talk in person. All in all - ***WORST EXPERIENCE SO FAR****NOT WORTH TRYING****
I have live here for a little more than two years I have no complain about coffey creek. But I do have to extend a overdue thank you to courtney king.... courtney made my in house transfer a breeze... I spended about 5 mins speaking to her explain what I was looking for and when I need it for... within an half anhours courtney got back to me with an apartment with everything I requested with an expected move in date.... I move into my new apartment in September without any hassle and less than 10 mins of my time which is excellent service for me because I do work 99% of my time that include traveling for work.... excellent customer service courtney king...
We stayed here 7 years ago. We had just moved across country and needed a place to live while we looked for a home. We were shown a sample apartment that was beautiful, but the actual apartment we rented was disgusting. The closet smelled like cat pee, and the master bath smelled so badly of mold you couldnt keep the door closed or it was overwhelming. The master bath also had obvious water damage as the floors were buckling and the counter was crumbling. The entire place reeked of cigarette smoke (my son and I have asthma), and there were no screens on the windows so we couldnt open them. When I called the office to complain about the smell, the repair guy said, I smoke, so I cant smell anything. Oh, and did I mention the bugs? We couldnt get out of there fast enough.
Just called today and spoke with Yvonne in the office. In the midst of my inquiry about availability she cut me off mid-sentence with a very flat tone. She just kept repeating no before I could even state the time frame that I was looking for.
Close to everything and is a great place to live
Absolutely terrible. Unprofessional. Unorganized. Staff is not knowledgeable. Harassed with many phone calls regarding multiple issues that were the fault of the office staff for not having our information organized. The management even tried to falsely evict us when our rent was paid in full! Obnoxious and embarrassing for something that Coffey Creek staff messed up. These are only a few of the reasons; just do not live here!
Staff is super ghetto and racist. hate hispanics and Asians
This apartment is horrible, snakes everywhere.
