I visited this nail spa today on a whim to give it a try. I arrived right when they opened and I was the only person there but you would have thought it was rush hour! I paid $5 extra for a “deluxe” pedicure for an extra little massage and it was not worth it. I essentially just had lotion smeared on my legs for a minute while the technician had a side conversation with someone across the shop and a small child that was running about. She didn’t ask me how the water was, how short to cut my nails, if I liked the color, nothing. The technician then proceeded to pull out an obviously worn down pumice stone to scrub my feet and I quickly asked that she not use it as I know there is practically no way to sanitize them. After painting my nails the technician did not ask me if I liked it, instead the owner came up to me and told me a long incomprehensible story about the reason why their credit card machine was down and that I’d need to pay with cash for my service by walking to the ATM across the street. No one told me about this until the service was complete. At this point I was irritated and had my bf who was down the street bring me some cash so I could pay and leave. It was then that I noticed that the technician left blue polish smeared on my toes and top coat all over my skin.To sum it up, there are better places to take your business where they are clean, considerate, and transparent about payment.
I have come to this location multiple times since I moved to the area and have always had a good experience. The staff is very friendly and professional. Good prices and easy parking for being located on Franklin street. I highly recommend coming here for all services! Vincent did my nails today and I absolutely love them! Thank you again for your great service.
So, let me start off by saying that the tech who did my nails was very kind, professional and helpful.Strike 1. I scheduled an appointment for 3pm. I arrived early, waited for almost 20 minutes before she got me to a table, then my service was paused within 10 minutes so that she could do to pedicures.Strike 2. I asked for a service that was advertised on their website with pictures and all, only to be told that they dont do that.Strike 3. I was not told upfront that nail shaping was $5 extra until AFTER the shaping was done.Strike 4. I went with dip powder per usual and got gold stickers on two fingers for a whopping $75To end it all, three days after my service, my dip powder started cracking at the cuticle on EVERY SINGLE NAIL.I appreciate the professionalism but the quality and price are not worth it. I will not be going back.
Very unprofessional and my nails all fell off in 5 days. Cut all my nails below the skin when I asked them not to. Left me for around 45 minutes with tips on that were long and uncut so I couldnt pick anything up, use my phone, etc. They have a $5 covid fee??!! Very expenive and it just was not worth is. Short staffed, do not go here unless you wanna waste your money
First time here and I will never be returning. The people were lovely, however I asked for medium length nails on my tips and she proceeded to cut off most of the tip, making my nails very short. There wasn’t anything I could do as she had already cut so I figured it would be fine. She proceeded to file my nails to oblivion, there was no tip left when she was done. She filed my nails maybe 15 different times. She also got 2 different personal phone calls and talked on the phone for about 5 mins each while in the middle of doing my nails. Very distracted and overall not a good experience.
Let me start by very clean & organized. Lindsey is so freaking awesome and patient! Very talented & Im always feeling super happy and refreshed after visiting. I am so picky and indecisive about my nails ALL the time & its hard for me to find a nail tech I actually ENJOY! Not only is her work very meticulous, the vibe in her salon is real chill & good conversation. With all of the other staff as well! I go to Durham salon but Ive been to this one too. These photos are her work on my hands.Highly recommended!
Just moved to the area & highly recommend this salon ! It was clean, very professional and they did an amazing job and took their time on my nails.
Ive gotten two gel manicures here. The first one was ok but the filing was uneven, but with the second one the person I had said they would just even my nails out which I thought was ok since I had a broken nail and it wouldve been an acceptable length for me to match them all up, but then she cut one of my nails realllyyy short and asked if that was an ok length. What was I supposed to say, she already cut it unnecessarily short. And not all of my nails were cut even, some come above my finger and some you can see the finger. Just disappointed because now I have to wait for my nails to grow long again.
I have been going to this location for years! It used to be called Nail Trix. I love these ladies...Tracey, Sofia, and Chi. They are incredible human beings who always make me laugh. I feel happier and in a better mood when I leave. They are kind people, and the work they do is incredible. I just get very natural gel manicures and pedicures...but they make them fantastic. Please go see these ladies.
Had a great manicure and pedicure -- they were easy to schedule with, friendly staff, overall great experience
I never write reviews for anything, but I genuinely have never had such a bad experience at a nail salon. Thing is, I have been here before and I must have had the owner because she was the best. However this time, he took twice as long as the longest manicure I have ever gotten. I made an appointment before I went and still was brought back half an hour late. He ended up charging me $20 MORE than literally 3 weeks ago!! I will likely not be back.
I got a pedicure and a full set of nails. The ladies at Bella Nail Bar were amazing and I love both my toes and my hands. I already have plans to return.
Very negative experience. Will not be returning despite convenient location.
I’m changing my review because sadly I do not recommend this nail salon anymore. I came in today to do what I thought was just a “refill” as last time I was here the lady that did my nails stated “do this style so that you won’t have to do a full set next time”. I did break a few nails so I looked passed that. The lady that did my nails is very nice, all workers there are very nice. What I don’t appreciate and the reason why I’m writing this review is because the lady that did my nails is a total crook. When I went up to pay she told me is was $70. I’m not a confrontation person but I noticed the nail “menu” at the counter and noticed that no nail treatment was $70 and asked her to tell me which one I had gotten and she said “oh, it’s not on there. It’s a special treatment. It’s organic. The people that made that didn’t put it on the list”. WHAT A JOKE AND WHAT A CROOK! I had already filled out the tip before I noticed the price, unfortunately, but let’s just say that was a parting tip because I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! How can you charge someone that much money and not have it on your menu. I always say people that steal do it because they really need to. Well, I bid you goodbye with that BS “organic” story and this review. Please be weary when going to this salon.
So glad I did not get a pedicure here! This used to be called nail trix. Look up the horrible reviews on BBB! The only thing new is the name due to bad services! They did not have clean filers and would not use tin foil to soak the gel off my natural nails. Instead she used a drill on me! Sophia! I will NEVER go there again! In fact Im doing my own nails! On top of that she kept asking my personal business! Very uncomfortable and unprofessional! And they did not wear gloves! And it states on their website that you must make an appointment but yet they allowed me to walk-in, thats just how thirsty they are!
Lyndsey is amazing, I got my nails done over a wk ago and they still look like new. The entire staff are fantastic. Friendly, accommodating, clean and very professional. They all give great service and this is the only place I go. Side note, I took my daughter with me last time. Her first time doing her nails and they were patient and made her feel comfortable, like a little lady. If the prices make you want to keep looking, remember you get what you pay for!!!!
The salon is well set-up with coronavirus precautions. It was my first time and I had such a fun experience with Kimmie. She recommended the Bella Nail Manicure package, I got my hands wrapped up with candle wax. Very fun!The service here is exceptional, there was a lady going around and check on the customers regularly.Kimmie is definitely a charm. My nails look flawless!I am definitely coming back! Thanks Kim!5 stars
ZERO STARS. Rude nail techs. Completely overpriced. Then charged my card $90 instead of the quoted $75 without my knowledge.
Well I had a questionable experience my first visit here and as soon as Lindsey heard about this she reached out to me and wanted the opportunity to make things right. That is exactly what she did. My nails look amazing, my time spent with her was relaxing and pampering she took her time and was very gentle. She has definitely gained a regular customer
If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. They are awesome! The remodel of the salon is beautiful and professional! They have a ton of color choices! Jacey is the one that did my gel pedicure, she was awesome! She was very funny, nice and took her time and didn’t rush. She is outgoing and she carried a conversation the entire time and she still was able to do my pedicure beautifully. I can’t wait until my next appointment.
I absolutely love the ladies at Bella Nail. Sophias smile and sense of humor is contagious. I used to come here every 2 weeks before the pandemic. Just like everything else, they have changed as well. They have maintained their facility impeccably clean, they have mandated masks, check temperatures, installed separators for between the nail techs and customers — the whole enchilada. I love them even more. Currently have been seeing Chi this month. She is professional, fast, and always does a beautiful job.
I had a very good experience in here with all the technicians. They treated me feel like a queen. The salon is very clean well prepared with Covid 19 precautions. They installed everything, from table shields to pedicure chair shields. I’m very impressed when coming back.Big thanks to Sophia, Kimmie, Tracy and Lindsey.
This place is amazing. Sophia is the absolute best when it comes to doing nails. She is so sweet and funny and nice. The place was super clean and relaxing and comfortable. Sophia made me laugh and made me feel so comfortable here. I felt like I was home. She was very gentle and caring. I will always come here to get my nails done. The place is very clean and professional. The girls here make you feel so welcome and make you feel like family. If you want to get your nails done right then come here. I will be coming back here for the rest of my life
Very nice location and employees.
As someone who doesn’t trust a lot of people with her nails, this place definitely sets the bar. I was very scared to try a new place but Bella Nail spa exceeded my expectations. Sophia does my nails perfect every time! They are following strict COVID guidelines as well like taking temperatures and requiring a hand wash before any service. Love this place.
Bella Nail Bar is wonderful and the ladies who work there are so sweet! Tracy did my pedicure and she did a great job! I highly recommended going here if you need anything done. We will definitely be coming back!
Excellent nail salon, and Sophia does a great job. I am very impressed by the care they have taken to prevent COVID-19 transmission. Clients can feel reassured that the salon is doing everything possible to protect both the nail technicians and clients. Barbara
I like the shop is very clean and look fresh. The staff is very friendly, and they take their time to do a good job.I really enjoyed my experience there.Thank you very much!
This place used to be called NailTrix for those of you wondering. AppointmentsOnly and they took their time on fingers and toes. If you want a design Sophia does a great job and she has fun doing it. They also like to talk with you too. It is a bit pricey but worth it. :)
Sophia is amazing and i would 100% recommend her! My acrylic nails were put on wrong and caused my real nails to be damaged and take half of my nails but sophia cared for me as if i was her child! i loved her and she makes me feel so comfortable, will be going back soon
Was so lovely!! They were very cautious of COVID, took temperatures, required masks, had a glass shield between you and the nail tech, required you to sign a waiver saying you were not sick, and everything was so clean! I felt very safe. The upgrades and renovations from nail trix were unbelievable!! The service was amazing, and they have lots of beautiful colors to choose from. Tracy did my nails and she was so sweet and fun!! I highly recommend if you are looking for a good safe place to get your nails done in Chapel Hill.
OMG THIS IS THE BEST PLACE EVER. I HAD KIMMIE, SHE IS FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL, SHE TOOK HER TIME WITH ME. I WILL BE BACK AND WITH MY DAUGHTERS. THEN LINDSEY, DID MY EYEBROWS, GREAT TOO. THE ATMOSPHERE IS WONDERDUL, GREETED BY THE TECHNICIANS. KIMMIE, MADE MY DAY!!!
It was a great experience! Tracey was lovely. It looks so nice inside with all of the remodeling done! there were also so many colors to choose from.
Sophia is such a delight. I always look forward to seeing her and she always does the absolute best job. I have been going there for years. My Mom Dad and I all fell in love with the staff there. They used to spoil my Dad rotten and Tina always has a warm greeting
My nails have never looked better!! the staff is so nice & the facility is spotless!! will definitely be coming back.
I had a wonderful experience me and my mother wanted to go to the other location however it’s only one on one service but the owner made sure that we made it to the shop safely I really felt like they cared Kimmy did my nails and she did a wonderful job of great listener and great work
Sophia did a dip powder manicure and they are exactly what I wanted! Everyone there was super friendly, super clean, and I had a great experience. Thank you Sophia!!
GREAT customer service! Always kind and they make sure your wait is short (if there will be a wait, they tell you to come back around X time, which I respect, as a walk-in). They know what theyre doing! Give them a try, you wont be disappointed:)
The people there were AMAZING !! Everyone way so kind and did and awesome job on my nails !! Chi was so kind and a great conversationalist. For a full manicure with gel it was $35!!
Chi is so nice and did an amazing job on my nails, they came out perfectly! Great experience and I will definitely be back :)
Omgggggg I have never experienced such a professional group of nail technicians. Tina was so delicate to my bothered toe and now I no longer limp thank u for taking care of my feet as of they were your own. Ill be coming from NYC just to get you to do my nails
I had Lindsey and she did such an incredible job with my nails! Definitely coming back to her!!
Kimmy/kimmie did such a good job! She was very focused and made sure my nails were perfect!!
Friendly and quick service. I get my eyebrows done here and it’s not pricey and they do a better job that most places that are more expensive.
Everyone was so nice and helpful and my nails looked so good! Definitely recommend!
Very friendly environment and they know what they are doing. I went to sleep during my pedicure. Lol
Zero stars for this nail salon. They are grossly overpriced, and they did not have their prices up anywhere. I was walloped with paying $40.00 for a acrylic fill for my daughter with no broken nails. They were crooked and uneven and just looked bad. A fill should never be over $25.00.$50.00 for a a dipping on my own nails without any extensions, this I have never paid over $40.00, this is grossly overpriced. The worst part for me was the guy that did my dipping literally left me a bloody mess. He cut five of my fingers around my cuticles. I had to leave there and get Neosporin right away. My fingers are in agony and blood scabs. It’s disgusting and it’s germy.I kept telling him he was Cutting me and he kept going and didn’t care. Lastly, my nails look thick and clumpy. The worst ever and the most expensive ever.I will be reporting to the license board regarding the cuts I have. This place is not good!!!
I have had ‘okay’ nails done here my first year, but I came back a week ago and was highly disappointed. I got my nails a solid color and one nail on each hand marble, which was 10$ extra on top of gel price, and the marble done looked like peacock feathers, not the sample nail or even remotely marble. When I pointed it out they gave me only 5$ off including my student discount. 5 days later one of my nails paint chips off so I go to get the one nail fixed, and they sat everyone else including people coming in after me to do their nails before my one singular nail. Won’t be going back
I have always had great experiences here. The staff is very nice and helpful as well as talented. Prices are a bit high but overall it’s worth the price for the results and the great service. Would definitely recommend!
They did an ok job but never honored the $5, off. I was charged full price😏😌
Ive been going to Nail Trix just under a year now and the lovely team of ladies keep me going back.It is clean and tidy and I love how they do my manicures and pedicures. They also have a wide choice of colors and different choices of how you can get your nails done. Its always a pleasant visit and I am sure when you do go, it will be the same! The best nail salon in Chapel Hill without doubt.
I saw Lindsey here and she did an outstanding job! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
If I could rate them 0 stars I would. I got a full set of acrylic nails here and they looked great until after 3 days they all started to lift and after 5 days one nail fell completely off. (I did not hit it on anything.) I got a chance to go back and had to fight with them to fix the poorly applied acrylic nails. They ended up charging me $10 to get them fixed and repainted after a long and quite rude discussion. It has been 4 days since then and they are all lifting once again and another nail has fallen off. I have had acrylic nails many times in my life and I’ve never had this issue. If anything they should be hard to get off not fall off on their own. It was a complete waste of money. I will NEVER go back!
Loved getting my nails done here! My nails ended up looking great and it was super relaxing getting them done. 10/10 recommend!
The nail technician Tracy was very accommodating and did a great job and listened to my concerns.
I love to come here for the milk and honey pedicure. They do a great job with the massage and hot rocks. I always finish up with a paraffin dip leaving my feet silky smooth.
This is the best nail salon I have ever been to. The employees are always welcoming, and very fun to talk to. Their work is the best in Chapel Hill and surrounding areas, and I recently had waxing done, which turned out fantastic. They are super affordable and even have a student discount Monday-Wednesday. I love going here solo, inviting my girlfriends and would recommend this business to anyone!
Great service and great prices
Very unprofessional.. I went in for a full set and the man was on the phone and told me to wait. I had no problem with this cause it was no big deal until during my service he stopped, got up, and walked outside to talk on the phone. I sat for a about 15 minutes until he came back... He was very rough with my hands and nails..I was also told that the shape I wanted (square, no round) wasn’t going to look nice and he was going to make it round because he wanted to and continued to argue with me.
Online appts. $65 for full set, matte
Finally found a new nail salon in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area! After 18 months of trying new places and then going back to Durham to get my nails done I finally think I have found a winner. Good prices, parking, friendly staff, and no long waits. Right on Franklin!
I went and got gel acrylics 10/11/19. However, I haven’t even had them for a WEEK now (it’s 10/16/19) and 6 nails have fallen off. I’m not rough with my nails whatsoever and anywhere else that I have gotten gel acrylics, they typically last 2 - 2 1/2 weeks AT LEAST before a nail falls off. I am so upset, especially when considering that I paid $50.00... and that was WITH a college student discount. DO NOT get acrylics here!
Nice service, but way to over priced for such low grade work. Within the second day of me getting a full acrylic set my nails are already morphing, the gelpolish is chipping, and overall I’m little embarrassed to show off my “new” nails.. very disappointed.
December 13, 2017 occurrence. In Chapel Hill with my mother, undergoing medical treatment. So I Google nail salons in Chapel Hill. Well Nail Trix came up first the reviews were medium so the location was convenient from the hospital I went in. I told them what I wanted it was fast service being seen then again it was very few people in there. I ask for a full facial wax and a full set with pink gel not polish acrylic. They directed me to the back this is where I met Sophia I told her about the reviews and how people talk highly of her she was pleasant. So she gave me a waxing my eyebrows where immaculate then she went on to wax my sideburns and chin. She also was the one who did my full set. I had to Google what I was talking about and then she still put powder acrylic oh my nails under the supposed to be pink gel she tells me it supposed to be extra but she not going to charge me. Im looking like do you think this is my first time getting my nails done but I go along with her shenanigans because I was in need of some pampering. Long story short my nails popped off in 2 weeks and my face is broken out still today December 24, 2017. I would not recommend anyone to go to Nail Trix apparently they give good service to who they want. They are not aware of variety of ways when doing nails. I know my nails, powder acrylic dont stand a chance but she was adment she knew what she was doing. She got me, icing on the cake she charge me 85 for this mess. I was going back to protest my disapproval but this review will loose them 85 plus some.
These are my ladies, love sophia. She always takes her time and stops to ask if i like them so far. Nails always turn out good.
Ive been coming to Nail Trix every 2-3 weeks for the past year or so and overall have had really great experiences here. I get full set acrylic nails and sometimes do pedicures and I am always pleased. Friendly people, fast and efficient.
Wedding nails - The best manicure ever- the regular nails, lasted almost two weeks with minimal chipping! I almost wondered if I had gotten gels by mistake. My nails have never looked better. Nice atmosphere for a wedding bridal party appointment.
Love this place. Love Sofia and VyVy. I always schedule appointments with them. Everyone is very friendly. Offers free drinks from water to wine. Very relaxing and good atmosphere
Great service, very happy with my full set of acrylics!
Ive been to this salon at about three times or more. They do a horrible job and although they are quick it always look messy and rushed afterwards. It was convenient for me because it was close to my house but I wont be returning to this nail shop.
Not a quiet or relaxing place, techs were holding loud, adamant discussion the entire time. No longer spotless and clean.
My favorite nail place in Chapel Hill. Reasonable price and friendly staff.
Absolutely AWFUL!! I went there Friday February 2, 2018 to get my acrylic nails filled because they are in a very convienient location, they were very quick to see me. She told me the price of Gel was an additional 15 so that makes 35 so I said go ahead and do it. They looked fabulous when they were done but felt like Tina was rushing to get them done. Got to the register she told me and my boyfriend the final price was 45. We couldn’t understand how but she was persistent with the price so we just gave her 45 having that cover the tip. Within the next day my nail paint chipped. Then the day after that 2 of my nails cracked! (The nail place I have always gone to, this has NEVER happened and I would go at least a month before getting them filled). So we went back that day to get them repaired and while they were doing my nails they tried charging me an extra 15 dollars! My boyfriend and I tried explaining to them that it was unreasonable since it has only been 3 days and they have already broke. They ended up making a huge scene in front of customers trying to tell us we were wrong and it was our fault they broke instead of theirs. Very unprofessional!! To sum it all up it is now February 8, 2018 and one of the nails they “fixed” has already broken AGAIN!! I will never go back there and will continue to go to my regular nail salon Nail Tek in Governors village.
Worst manicure ever.Asked for short because I work with my hands as an IT support tech, got freaking tallons because its more beautiful this way. Whatever, figured Id enjoy it for the weekend and file them down later.Nicked 3 separate cuticles, every nail was crooked or malformed in some way, and she left a huge gap between the acrylic and the cuticle so day one they looked like Id been wearing them 2 weeks already. Super disappointed. Even the gel polish looked awful, full of streaks and she missed pretty sizable spots. Before I had done a thing to them they started lifting after only 3 days. When I had them removed after only a day or so more, she had filed my right pinky nail so thin it literally cracked in half horizontally about 1/3 of the way down the nail bed. This place charged me like $55 to draw blood and literally destroy my natural nails. Im no stranger to acrylics, I know they come at a price, and Ive been trained professionally on applying them myself as a former cosmotologist. It is my professional opinion that this was rushed, sloppy, careless work that will likely leave permanent damage to one of my nails.Never going anywhere near this place again, and I recommend you save your money and your nails less you suffer the same fate.
Great experience with Kimmy today!
Very nice staff. They always recommend great places to eat like Vegan Flava.
Nail trix has a friendly, welcoming environment and the service is great! out of all the techs, i would recommend vincent and sophie the most. based on my personal experience, the other nail techs seem to be hit or miss with their quality of work.to address the handful of negative reviews: i’m a skeptical person by nature but they are genuinely the best of all the nail salons i’ve been to. there’s even a unc student discount if you show your onecard!p.s. vincent is an absolute angel - not only did he fix a disaster of a full set (a tech at a salon in my hometown had filed a couple of my natural nails so thin that they cracked down the middle, the shape of the acrylics was irregular, etc) but he is the nicest person i’ve ever met and talking to him will absolutely make your day a little better.
My gel nails looked really good and lasted almost 2 weeks.
Very good place to have a manicure and pedicure they also give massages.
This just happened. 24 sep 17. He wasnt paying attention and took off the tip of my toe. Then I noticed that they dont really scrub out the tubs. I am very scared I am going to get sick now. And he still charged me full price! Its not letting me add the picture of my mangled toe
Very nice folks. Never been disappointed
Sophia did my fill in and they looked so natural! Great job and reasonable prices.
Mrs. Tina is an amazing person who loves her customers! She performed a miracle with my eyebrows lol
Quick, efficient, friendly and did a great job! I’ll be back:)
Best nail salon in the area. The people there are terrific and they do an outstanding pedi and mani. I would highly recommend this salon.
Ive been getting my nails and eyebrows done here for the past four years by Sofia. I absolutely love the service at this place!
I come to Nail Trix occasionally for facial waxing because their prices are so darn cheap. Ive never had issues with their brow or lip waxing, but their leg waxing is not great; they are super quick, but they dont pay great attention to detail. I often get home to see that theyve missed several hairs. They also have a tendency to pull leg hair superficially, i.e., not from the root, meaning your hair will come back more quickly than it really should after a wax.The quality of customer service varies depending on the staff member who provides your service. Ive never had a terrible customer service experience at this salon, but I cant say Ive ever had a great one either. Regardless, most of the women who work there are nice enough.Theyve made major updates to the space recently-- fresh paint, better lighting, new mirrors, and a water feature. The style of decor is rather dated despite being totally new (I believe they overhauled the salon sometime in 2014). Still, it looks much cleaner than it used to, and the environment is calmer though not exactly relaxing. The only area of the salon that didnt really get overhauled is the waxing room. It looks way better than it used to (fresh paint on the walls, a nice new mirror), but it still looks kind of trashy.I couldnt tell you anything about the quality of their nail services since Ive never gotten my nails done there, but the space looks nice and clean, and they have those massage chairs with the little spa tub for your feet. Their menu prices seem on par with what you would pay at any other cheap nail salon. BTW, their online menu is out of date. As of 8/19/2014, most of their services are about $2-$3 more than whats stated online.Bottom line: this is a totally decent waxing salon for folks in the Chapel Hill area that arent looking for a spa experience. They take walk-ins, which is generally not the case at more upscale waxing salons. For my money, I would rather go to Wax Poetic in Carrboro or Moss in Chapel Hill, but Nail Trix is a great stand-by.
Tracy did a great job!!!
WARNING: This is long, my apologies beforehand. This was my second (and LAST) time going to this salon. The first time the workers tried to steal my anklet during my pedicure. And Im not even kidding. But its the only salon I knew about near campus so I decided to come back. Horrible mistake. The second time I went to this salon I walked in and was barely greeted. They briskly asked me what I wanted done (a gel mani-pedi) and then rushed me to choose a color (none of which I wanted). When I went to sit down, they did not ask me what kind of pedicure I wanted. They did not remind me that the chair had a massager nor did they start the massager for me (like they did with other clients). They did not offer me any drinks (like they did with other clients). And they did not put any powder/salts in my water (again, like they did with other clients). They had me sit there for almost 25 minutes with my feet just soaking in tap water and when another client came in and sat down had the audacity to ask me who was first. Furthermore, the woman barely massaged or buffed my feet and did not use any lotion at all and very forcefully told me to take off my own fingernail polish (which I would not have had a problem with had she spoken to me with respect). After all of this I was extremely offended yet I stayed because I really wanted my nails done and I dont know of any other nail salons that close to campus. Anyway, I did not receive my manicure. The most the woman did was cut my cuticles roughly and painfully. I received no oils, massage, or anything. After this the woman asked me what I wanted and I specifically told her I wanted white fingernail polish. Being that English was not her first language I guess she did not understand and just assumed I wanted french tips. So she proceeded to paint french tips on my hands during which I kept asking her if she was going to paint the entire nail white, which she assured me she would. Finally I had to stop her completely and sternly say No. I wanted white, not french manicure. Then I guess she got upset because she just assumed I wanted french tips when I specifically and obviously said I wanted white. She and her coworkers started talking and they were obviously annoyed and talking about me. Imagine how I felt! I had been waiting months to get my nails done and this is the treatment I got. After I clarified I had wanted all white, she goes back and does my toes correctly but then tells me its too late to fix my fingernails. Also, during her painting my nails one finger messed up and she refused to fix it.After ALL of this, I finally go to pay and for some ODD reason the amount came up to EIGHTY FIVE dollars (and the woman at the cash register criticized me for not telling the the nail tech what I wanted in time, even though I [specifically] said I wanted white, [not] french tips). So I basically paid $85 for a poor excuse for a pedicure and a manicure, a paint that I didnt even want, cuticles that almost bled, and women with poor attitudes and no sense of professionalism working on my hands and feet. One thing I will say is that the woman, after seeing my complete displeasure with her manicure offered for me to come back in a couple days so she could paint my nails again (actually white this time) with no cost. I ended up just going home and painting over the french myself.I will never return to Nail Trix on Franklin St. They were disrespectful, careless, and callus and I was thoroughly disappointed. If there are any BETTER QUALITY alternatives close to campus please let me know. Also, I apologize for the length and if I sound angry, but I did pay $85 for something I didnt even want, and I felt very disrespected by the entire thing.
Fair experience, Id go back to try it again. Seemed rushed for my 90 dollar mani pedi (gel)
They are very caring about when they do your nails and they are very loving people
I love them! The service is awesome!
I loveeee getting my eyebrows done..ALWAYS DO A GREAT JOB
I absolutely loved it.
Love Nail Trix! Twan is the best!
I got a full set two days ago and they are already falling off 🙄
