After a long journey of looking at multiple properties I am glad to call the Steelyard my home! When I arrived I was greeted in the lobby by Elijah who has been a huge help during this process. The other residents are very friendly and I cant wait to meet more of them. When I took the keys and got to my unit I was impressed by how clean and maintained it was. I would defiantly recommend this property to anyone. The other thing I like is how close you are to the main building and other amenities.I am also looking forward to the events that they have on site.Bring on the heat and new adventures!
In my 12 years of renting apartments within the valley, Elijah has given me the best and most memorable service during my visit. He is very personable, patient, communicative, and professional. Can’t wait to live at Olympus Steelyard!
Elijah has been nothing but great for me, he is personable, friendly and quick to help with any problems or questions that I’ve had. Living here is great, I love the layout of my apartment and I especially love the free nitro cold brew on tap. Management is also quick to respond to any issues that I’ve had.
Elijah!!! Lets start there! An amazing person! I couldnt be happier with the love I had the minute I walked in the lobby. All around Id give 10 stars if I could. He and his team made my move the easiest ever. Im happy to call Olympus Steelyard my new home. The place has amazing amenities, walking distance to everything in Downtown Chandler. The people that live here are all so friendly. Made new friends the first weekend at the pool. Highly recommend!! Thanks again Elijah!!
Ive lived at Steelyard since 2018 and the staff has ALWAYS been very professional, polite and accommodating. By accommodating, I mean the staff consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that they are providing the highest quality residential service. Even with the mask on you can tell that they are always smiling and really making Steelyard feel like home for everyone that walks in. THANK YOU Infinity times 19!!!!! I would mention every body by name, but Im sure Id miss some people. So to EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE of the staff at Steelyard, PLEASE know that you are appreciated greatly. 444 If I could give yall 103 star rating I would... But well just say that 5 stars here is = to 103 stars to me. lol
Elijah is amazing and professional. He is extremely knowledgable in his position. He was extremely helpful and always responded so quickly to any questions that I have had. I have been to alot of communities and apartments in search for an apartment for myself. Although, I went with another apartment due to my job location. I definitely have to say Olympus Steele is beautiful and Elijah is an asset!!
We love living at Olympus Steelyard! Our Leasing Specialist, Elijah, has been incredibly helpful and responsive during our first month here. Were enjoying the amenities (especially the pool and gym), have no trouble with parking, love hanging out on our balcony and enjoying the natural sunlight in our apartment. Highly recommend!
I have lived here for almost 2 years. The office staff is professional, polite, courteous and attentive to our needs. Excellent maintenance team. Maintenance issues are resolved in a timely manner. (sometimes even the same day). The property is kept clean. Hats off to Gentry, Elijah, Matthew and Jenny .
Elijah made our move into Olympus so easy. Hes prompt in his responses when we need anything! Our neighbors are all friendly but also fairly quiet - I have never heard a peep through the walls. :)
I recently applied for a unit, with my sister as the co-applicant. We worked with Mathew. And although, our conversations were short/sweet. The issues became apparent after the applications were reviewed. A rental history issue came up when they ran my background. The entire process was confusing and I was never officially told my application was denied until my sister (co-applicant) told me she’d talk to a staff member and they said that our application was denied due to an eviction on MY record. First off, it is not ok to reveal personal info like that. Second, the fact that we weren’t talked to about how to dispute this information (if incorrect) or that we weren’t given some options goes to show much they really did not want to rent an apartment to us. It was very much like sorry, you didn’t get accepted - BYE! We just started the application process with another complex and we’re surprised to see how caring the leasing staff was to make sure that we had all questions answered. They guided us through the process, and made sure we had all the necessary info to dispute the report and heighten our chances of getting accepted. We now have letters from the previous property discussing the misunderstanding and are finally getting an apartment. Overall, just disappointed with the way this was handled. My biggest issue is with a staff member sharing information from my personal credit file with someone who applied with me. That is a major privacy concern.
If you are trying to live in an amazing community and unit in downtown chandler this is the spot for you. I just moved out due.to a move I had to make for job related reasons. I was so sad to have leaved. This place is amazing, but what I really love is that the management especially Gentry! They ACTUALLY care and engage with you! They are human beings that care and professionals that keep everything maintained safe and clean.I will miss this place and highly recommend you to move here!
I love it here. If I could leave more stars, I would. From the very start, Elijah Salazar has been a pleasure to work with. From answering my never ending questions to making sure we felt at home right away, he took care of it all. The property itself has been an amazing experience (weve been here for 2 months now) and I love living here. The property is beautiful and the staff is great. So happy with my decision.
The apartment itself wasnt a bad place to live! Maintenance was always quick and responsive, leasing office was nice for the most part too. Walls can be thin and you can hear your neighbors but thats an aspect of apartment life that is to be expected. The apartment is gated and parking is for residents only. I was told during my move in of August 2018 that they tow cars without Olympus Steelyard parking permits but that the permits were in the mail. I moved out around June 2018 and never received a parking permit, despite having asked multiple times. Parking was rough at times with people having visitors over.Main reason for my low star review is that I found dog waste on my welcome mat outside my door one day and I took photos and showed management and they never followed up about it... It was the final straw for me.
I have lived here for two years and really love the property. The staff is always very eager to assist with any issues. My building is always clean and well maintained. They are quick to address any issues that might pop up. For instance, there was an issue with a resident consistently not cleaning up after their dog. The property located the individual using the security cameras and remedied the problem. Bottom line here, they care.Throughout my two years I have had only one or two maintenance requests. They responded within 2 hours both times and had it fixed. I consider that a solid turn around time for such a large property. It is clear to me that the property owners and the staff take pride in their work and the buildings. This makes for a great living experience. The units are beautiful as are the amenities. The kitchen and bathrooms have granite counter tops and modern appliances. I have never had a single issue with any of the appliances nor the AC (a must for any Phoenix resident). We have a pretty sizable gym along with a spin and yoga room. There are also free fitness classes hosted weekly. The speakeasy is one of my favorite parts of the property. Make sure you check it out on the tour! The location of the building is also fantastic. If you are looking to rent in Chandler, give Steelyard a tour. Right across the street you have a gas station, a couple restaurants, and an awesome craft beer bar. Walk a few blocks down and you are in the heart of downtown Chandler.
This is easily the best place I have ever lived. The people who live here are all super nice and the staff makes everything easy and are quick to take care of any issues that arise. Elijah was amazing and helped take care of my initial move in and then made the transition from one apartment to another seamless and stress free! I would recommend this place to everyone!
This is the best place I have ever lived. the amenities and events are awesome. I am in the pool and hot tub everyday and love the workout room. The staff is amazing will literally help you with anything you might need. Elijah Salazar is always great help with any questions I have.
I decided to redo my evaluation. After being here almost 2 years. Since my last review I have noticed that they are making more of an effort to enforce cleanliness on the property. The main reason I changed it though is because we are all adults and need to take responsibility and help self police our property. Its not fair that maintenance is picking up other people dog waste. If we as residents did our part it would be less overwhelming for the staff to handle issues. I still wish the valet trash service carried around sticky notices that they can put on doors when trash does not comply instead of just leaving it and not picking it up which makes our hallways smell. One thing I can say is that I personally have never had any issues with maintenance staff, in fact I feel that is the bright spot of the community. Every time I put in a request for something to be fixed its handled within 24hours. Please keep up the good work so i dont regret changing my review.
Matthew was awesome when helping me move-in. He answered all my questions and showed me to the location of my apartment, so I wouldnt feel lost. I would recommend living here in a heart beat. The staff is attentive and always here for you.
Hey Everyone!!! Let me tell you how much I enjoy living at Olympus Steelyard....First of all...I lived here before I bought a condo. I recently sold the condo and CAME BACK TO OLYMPUS!!!!First, let me tell you about the team. Jenny, Gentry, Matthew and Elijah are Amazing! No only are they attentive to my concerns, but they go out of their way to make you feel right at home the first time you walk through the door!Secondly, the maintenance crew keep the grounds in great condition! I see them out working at the crack of dawn when going out on my walk!Thirdly...LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Just Forgeddaboudit! I love the beautiful sights as downtown is a block away! Restaurants, Gas Station...anything you need is all within a mile! I walk to the Farmers Market and can even borrow the Community Bicycles if I need to!Ive already met some wonderful people here! I feel safe and am fortunate to have found employment within 5 miles of home. Chandler is an amazing place to live! I cant imagine living anywhere else! When looking for a particular floor plan...there were only two available at the time....that says a LOT! People LOVE being here.If you are fortunate to see one come available...jump on it! They occupy quickly!Ok...I could be a spokesperson for Olympus Steelyard...but Im not...just a very satisfied resident. Im blessed to be here and look forward to being here for a long time to come.See you around!Eliza
I loved living here. Only reason I moved out was due to a slightly better opportunity. The sense of community is awesome. Maintenance was always timely. The price you pay when factor in amenities is worth it. The amenities are all pretty great. The building is centrally located to a lot of activities which makes walking easy. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful, especially Elijah and Gentry.
Out of all the apartments I have lived I’ve never experienced a staff like this one. They are all amazing and friendly. I worked with Matthew and he was such a joy to work with and made me feel welcomed. After I moved in he still made sure everything was going well and to keep me updated with any info about the activities they provide or any upcoming events. I can’t express how happy I am to have found this place.
Absolutely HORRIBLE! The management LIES about mostly everything! If you complain about the limited parking spaces, they will make up a story about how everyone is going to be issued parking permits and all other cars that are non residents will be towed. The worst part is that the Residents have a lack of respect for other residents. Some of the residents have POOL PARTIES with LOUD music Monday through Friday at late hrs. of the night. This makes it hard when you work M-F to support your own family and cant get any sleep. THERE IS NO ACCOUNTABILITY FROM MANAGEMENT.Id you are thinking about staying here I would suggest looking elsewhere.
I’ve lived at steelyard for over a year now! Once you shut your apartment door you cannot hear ANYTHING I don’t hear neighbors, loud music, or even traffic. Secondly, I love the staff, and maintenance is always quick and friendly. Kraig is on top of everything and Jay is the sweetest! Jay even saved some holiday left over bones for my dog. Best apartment community I have ever lived at hands down! Also, a shout out to Jenni Gentry and Elijah in the office managing an apartment community during covid cannot be easy and they make it look like a breeze at every turn. Thank you all for everything you do!
I am a current resident here and I would never recommend this place to anyone. We’ve had water damage in our apartment for almost 3 months (not the first time we’ve had water damage in our apt) we had to communicate with the front office and maintenance ourselves, because they always would say “we’ll call you back” or “we’ll come fix it this day” and never heard anything or they never came the day they said they would. The communication between the front office, the maintenance manager and the resident is awful. We never pay late on rent, we’ve always been on time yet we are getting treated like this! So not happy living here and can’t wait until my lease is up!!Update: NOTHING has been done to fix my issue now we have had our 5th water damage in the last 8 months and yet we are still waiting for them to fix the last 2 water damages. Called corporate and still have not heard anything do yourself a favor and avoid this place, the staff doesn’t even last here they change management so bad, wish they wouldn’t of sold the property last management was better than Olympus properties.
Moved here about a year ago and I love it. Just renewed my lease. I have had no problems with the rec center, maintenance staff has been responsive (with 24 hours, sometimes within 12 hours) and the staff are always trying to set up events to bring the community together. I always see emails from the staff enforcing compliance which is great to keep residents accountable. Overall great experience. The best apartments that I have lived in so far!
Its truly a nice place to live. Pro: Great apartments and amenities provided to its residents. Cons: the rent comparing other luxury apartments in the area is absurd considering we have no security team monitoring our property, I dont know if before covid it was this hard to contact the front office(difficult in contacting anyone in the front office let alone getting a response). For me to truly give these apartments a 4 or 5 star we need to have better contact from the front office and we need a real security team on site. Walls and gates dont deter people anymore. Ive literally seen junkies(drug addicts) come in and out of our apartments. Also the same people dig through our recyclables and where most of us leave stuff we dont want behind the trash compactor. I mean really if we just had an actual security team Id be fine with giving a 4 star and paying the 1380 we pay a month for rent. However if none of these are fixed my review will stay the same and after our lease is through we will be moving to a much better complex that provides us with what we want.
Olympus Steelyard apartments in Chandler are awesome! Outdoor area is set up nice with a huge pool, grills everywhere and nice fire pits. The speakeasy is always fun to go to and so is the rooftop patio. Also, maintenance is very on top of things around here and usually respond within the same day. It’s been a great experience here so far 👍
MATTHEW, why be so rude? Why deliver the worst customer service ever? Why not treat people with respect instead? 0 stars was not an option. I’m just the one to speak up but I’m speaking up for everyone. If you don’t enjoy the job that YOU chose, then pick a new one!
Apartment is great. Staff is great. Maintenance is fast. Amenities are great. Clean and new appliances. The only downside to this great place that gives it only 3 stars are the random charges you get monthly. You have to pay for the Common Area and the Gas it uses, which means it varies monthly. You pay even if you dont use it. (Ive never had to pay for a Common Area before because its supposed to be a part of the amendities, which is part of the actually rent price itself. Im from California. We dont have these charges.) Sometimes its the Valet Trash tax. Sometimes its reimbursement fees. Honestly, I dont know what any of these fees are. I was under the impression it was part of the base rent amount. I guess not.So, if you move here, expect your rent to be much higher. Get your base amount that they advertised, and add about 200 on top of it every month with all the random fees.I still live here and enjoy the complex. I cant say I enjoy being charged random things I dont use. If money isnt an issue for you, this place is great and will provide you comfort. It will fit every living style. Location is great. Walking distance to downtown and enjoy night life. Its a great place. Just be mindful of the fees.
HelloI am a current resident at Olympus and I am thankful and grateful for the changes and improvements management is doing.First and foremost I would like to thank Gentry and Elijah for always being outstanding by being helpful about my concerns and questions. I have lived her since Feb 2020. We all know COVID-19 has had a major impact but we thank God for small victories and blessings. Unfortunately being unemployed and having a hard time meeting ends meet I can say management was kind enough to understand I needed help with adjusting and working with me to get things back in orde . Also, I must say that management has taken serious measures to secure the premises and keep residents informed on how to be safe and care for each other. I have never experienced an apartment being concerned for their residence . It has been hard for me living alone and being away from family in Dallas TX. However I appreciate the virtual yoga, workouts and staying connected with the apartment complex. So Im thankful for thatThe new updates with keeping up with trash, keeping the area clean and putting signs up for dog littering has helped the community a lot . I hope that continues.Again I appreciate this community and the way we treat each other. Its all about respect, kindness and giving back!P.s The food truck event was awesome. We need more events like tha . Glad I got to meet the owner she was lovely.Thank you.
I absolutely love living here. The apartments are really spacious and the vibe in the clubhouse is very me. Its a great space to work and relax. I work from home, and never really feel like AAH I gotta get out of here!. The air conditioned hallways are really nice in the summer time too. Management is always looking for new ways to bring the residents together, like Trivia night, Happy Hour, and theyve given us several free tickets to events in Downtown Chandler. Ive met several really nice people through these community events. By far the best apartments Ive lived in and definitely the best Ive found in the East Valley. Location is really close to freeways which is helpful for commuters. The management is very friendly and helpful and they always give my puppy treats when we check the mail :) We have had to be persistent with them a few times when we needed maintenance requests taken care of or couldnt find a package that was marked as delivered, but theyve always been responsive and do their best to help. Its surprisingly a very dog-friendly community, despite not having very much space for dogs to play. Were hoping the new park theyre building behind the complex has some space for dogs to run around.
We have lived here for a few months and we absolutely love it. Move in was incredibly easy especially with help from Elijah which made the transition seamless. There’s a park a block away for the pups and the amenities are endless. Any problem we have had has been handled asap- we used to live at Vive apartments and had zero complaints so when we were shopping to move from our house and found out it was the same company it all but made our decision for us. We had already looked at about a dozen apartments and none compared to Olympus, we highly recommend coming in for a tour as that’s all you need!
I’ve been a resident here at Olympus Steelyard for almost 2 1/2 yrs. lived here when it was still Alta Steelyard. The transition was rough and they’ve gone through a few office staff turnovers but things were starting to look better. They had begun to replace many items that were worn out and some events were coming back. However, it must be addressed that the lack of security and blatant lease violations are an extreme problem. There is currently a very loud and large party going on in the clubhouse. A man identified himself as a resident and the 50+ people were all his guests. This looked like a nightclub being run out of our clubhouse. And to top it all off, they locked the door that allows residents to walk through to their homes. Complete disrespect for other residents and blatant violations of the lease. Security ended up on premises and said they were told of an event tonight (a movie party hat ended at 9:30), so police were called and a noise complaint was issued. The complete lack of any enforcement of basic safety and general lease rules by the office are appalling. We’ve brought up numerous times that gates have broken locks and doors often don’t latch so that anyone can walk in. It appears Olympus doesn’t care about their residents or what those of us living here for several years, have to say about the current lack of security and the lack of any enforcement of lease rules we all signed upon moving in.

Everything here is amazing, they offer so many things for the residents to do and enjoy their time here. Everything is kept very nice and clean and the apartments have such great appliances, I always enjoying staying home. I would give this complex 5 stars but I did deal with a very rude staff member Tiffany the other day which really threw me off, other than that I would say that the rest of the staff including the maintenance team are very kind and always so helpful. I would recommend these apartments to anybody who enjoys the social life and also enjoys going downtown since its only minutes away and is in walking distance. Overall this is a great place to live.
At first when I moved in I was skeptical because of the reviews. Even after everything I decided to move here because of the location. Im so glad I did! I will admit at first, I didnt love the staff, but now they have an amazing team that seem to work well together. Elijah!! I dont even know where to begin with him, hes just an amazing person with an amazing soul! I recently had a baby, with everything going on, he has helped me sooo soo soo much! It really is the little things, with so many residences, he knows me by name and is just... AMAZING! Everyone else is great too, but he is truly the best!! I hate writing reviews, but I really wanted to pay it forward for all that elijah has done for me! Now Im on my second year of living here and Im happy! Its affordable for your buck! All of my service calls have been answered fairly quickly and all so nice as well! And the kitchen island is huge!! That was a big thing for me! The only reason why I put 4 stars is because of the overall. I know I cant help the neighbors, but sometimes they can be very inconsiderate with their dogs and leave poop out, but the staff do try to make sure the community is clean.
Living here has been alright. It was a rocky start in the beginning, but as time went on it evened out. The staff are nice and get to know you by name, even the maintenance guys are real friendly and keep the place looking great. I had to put in a couple of maintenance requests and they were resolved next day as they havent been urgent. I wish there was a bark park as being near the downtown area lacks that amenity all around. There have been times that the side doors to the complex are wide open. Not sure if its residents leaving them open or what. Kind of defeats the purpose of being a gated community. As far as being downtown, well its OK, but its not really anything to make a fuss over. Most places I shop or eat at arent in the plaza down there so I dont frequent it much. But if you do like that plaza, then this would be a perfect location. I like we are close to major expressways, makes getting around a breeze.
When I first moved here, everything had a great presentation. The pop of color, great scents and well designed clubhouse and pool areas resembled resort living. While I have a good view and enjoy the privacy of my place, things changed with the overall property.I’ve been here for 8 months now and there has been constant negative changes such as uncleanliness, breakage of major equipment on the property, and lack of corporate/owner caring for its property/residents and sometimes even employees. The floors in the buildings looks as if they haven’t been cleaned during the 8 months I’ve been present. (Literally, the same stain has been sitting so long til it turned black). The floors are dusty and dirty. The cleaning crew do not properly clean the windows or the glass in the pool area. They are constantly cloudy and dirty. The patio furniture is disgusting as well. They removed some cushions weeks ago however have not yet replaced them. One of the reasons I selected to live here is because it’s a gated community. The entry gate door have issues every other month, which is too often. Shout out to whoever they are paying to fix this. Because it’s never properly fixed. The evaluator hasn’t been functioning since Monday. Today is Thursday! I love on the top floor.Parking is so limited and or non-existent due to outsiders are parking in our areas. Management is not implementing towing which they expressed this differently upon my move in. However they constantly try to UPSALE you to rent a garage. Why would I pay for a garage when parking is available.Based on the rent amount compensated, we as residents should not have to endure these issues. I really hope the company and management get better. There’s so much potential here.
Steelyard will be me and my fiancee very first apartment, we are excited to move in next year. And a big thank you to Elijah for all your help we truly appreciate it!
I really enjoy living at Alta steelyard so far. The staff is always friendly and moving in was easy. Any issues I had upon move in were fixed within the first week. Im really happy I moved here!
Resort like style living with 24 hour amenities. Close walking distance to shops and restaurants. Staff is friendly and attentive and maintenance keeps the common area and grounds cleaned all the time. Only issue is the parking where residents was suppose to have window decals to park is not enforced and always see visitors taking up spots making you have to park further and hike to your home.
I moved into the property when it was owned by Alta...the place was well put together and basically new which warranted a higher rent...it seemed that most of the tenants were professionals and the location was great so I signed up...soon after moving in the property started having issues keeping up the amenities and started accepting a disproportionate amount of non-qualified tenants who like to party hard weeknights since they work service jobs on the weekends and are slobs who leave garbage and cigarette butts everywhere also they damage public grills and make the pool seem like a cesspool with alcohol and bodily fluids...after Olympus took over things got much worse as seems to happen will all properties they acquire...even simple items such as common area cleanliness and broken main entry door locks were habitually ignored even though they would give prospective tenants tours and show them around with all these problems.. The police are at the property weekly dealing will many issues which typically relate to quality of the tenants. The 24 hr pool area is constantly in use with excessively loud, drunk, and disrespectful people...do not move here if you expect to have any sort of peace and quiet especially weeknights when most professional people need to sleep....it is really disappointing as the place had a lot going for it but the lack of real property management and the take anyone quality of the tenants have ruined it so my stay was cut short...the rent price would typically keep out the garbage but the majority of the units are 2 master bedroom so many many roommate setups...you can figure out the rest...
Ive never seen an Apartment community try so hard to make it a real community. There are constantly events being planned to initiate mingling among residents and they actually work. They have a speakeasy! Being a transplant from Chicago and having a small friend group, this place has been better than expected for meeting other young couples.Clean apartments, great amenities, and management who actually takes an interest in the residents.Update, apparently management has changed. TV hasnt worked in the gym for the last 2 months. Always an excuse why it isnt fixed. TVs on equipment dont work. Many Machines dont work. Get it together guys.
This complex is great! New Management is still figuring it out, but they seem to have good intentions. It’s apartment living so the noise shouldn’t surprise you.Unfortunately not near the best neighborhood so we’ve had to deal with some vagrants and minor criminal damage.. My reccomendation is to improve upon Security with either additional exterior cameras or an on site rover.Best parts about living here are the amenities available with stylish, comfortable lounging for you and your friends!
My wife and I lived at Olympus Steelyard for over a year. While the apartment and facilities never fell short of expectations, the lack of communication by the staff is astounding. We had numerous problems while living there which took repeated emails (from us) to fix. We once incurred serious fees because they thought leaving a note on the door (while we were out of town) was an acceptable form of professional communication. We moved out over two months ago and the headaches still arent over. My wife has been calling and emailing (with little response) in regards to a large bill we received. We were emailed 39 days before our lease was up, and in the fine print it informed us that we needed to give them a 60 day notice of our intent to move. Which is clearly impossible to do given only 39 days. All I can recommend if you do choose to live at Olympus Steelyard is to keep all your communication in writing (although theyll likely not respond to it), because you will need evidence of their appalling lack of communication.
Really ghetto apartments. Right next to a ghetto bail bonds office. Weird homeless dudes walking around in the area, particularly a man who walks around everyday shirtless. Cant wait till we are out of here.
I wish I had read the reviews before I moved in. The problems I have could be so very easily fixed with some basic property management. However, no one seems interested in doing it.1. Insufficient parking. Easily fixed by assigning spots to residences. I travel often for work and come home late. On more than one occasion Ive had to park around outside of the property a block or more away from my building. Pay for a garage you say? Sure - but they dont even have a waiting list. When I inquired I was told to call every day and check availability. No thank you. Also - enforce the towing. Especially on the weekend. You created this shortage of spots for guests and residents alike - the least you can do is enforce the rules.2. Cleanliness. I will say that overall the common areas are pretty well kept. However, in the building I live in the cleaning crew never seems to get past the first floor lobby. There was a stain (maple syrup) on the floor for over a month. It subsequently turned black and the entire hallway smelled for weeks. Also - if you have one of those coveted garages, keep it clean. Total lack of enforcement on no storage in the carport (visible) area. A couple of garages near me have broken furniture, boxes, etc.3. Communication. The onsite team doesnt seem to know what the parent company is doing and vice versa. I received and signed a full move in package with detailed fees. Five days before move in, the on site team sent a different one with completely different fees and terms and had no knowledge of the one I had signed. I had to send the onsite team my SIGNED lease with the detailed fees and then they acted like they were doing me a favor by honoring it.4. Safety. The gates and doors are broken far too often for me to feel comfortable leaving my 20 year old alone here when Im out of town. The neighborhood is a mix - which is fine, we knew when we moved in. However, we thought paying the higher rent to have the gates and doors locked would balance. Weve only been here four months and the main gates have been broken (left open) at least once a week on average. The outside entry gates and doors are also hit or miss on if they are actually locked.Im really disappointed in my experience so far and am strongly considering moving before my lease is up. For sure will not be renewing.
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff!!!
I know that many of the reviews talk of smelly trash, loud music, parking problems and I can tell you after living here that is not true at all. You cant live in a community of people and expect things to be a 100% quiet, not smelly, or unable to find parking. If thats the case you probably should be looking for a home so that you can control all of those things. All I can say is that we are so glad that our friends recommended us to find a unit here because its definitely worth every penny. The staff is very friendly and both Becky and Becca have been on the ball when it came to helping my family settle in.
I see mixed reviews on here. I see some people frustrated with certain aspects of the property. Though everyone is allowed to have their own opinion, I do not agree with the majority of the complaints. I have my review below.Maintenance:Apartment is beautiful and any maintenance request I have had was no fault of Olympus. I am talking about simple stuff like an AC filter replacement or extra light bulbs. The maintenance staff has completed every single request within 24 hours. Most of the time it is done within 8 hours.Noise:I live in the building furthest from the common area. I do not experience any excess noise. I have never had any issues with noise other than that of a car or motorcycle starting up (which is unavoidable). If you do not want to deal with noise from the pool or common area, request an apartment away from that location before signing your lease. It seemed like common sense to me. The staff is very accommodating. If you like to be by the action and do not mind noise... then you wont have an issue living close to the common area.Property:The property is fairly clean. The common area is always spotless and looks fantastic. Same goes for the gym and cycling room. The gym is great and has everything I need for a complete work out. There have only been a few instances where I contacted the office for a clean up on the property and they handled it immediately.Neighborhood:You are right across from a gas station, craft beer bar, barbershop, and a cool local restaurant and tap room. Downtown Chandler is a quick 5 minute walk from the property as well. Sure, the neighborhood behind the property isnt glamorous... but I have NEVER felt unsafe while living at Steelyard.Employees:The front office and maintenance staff are fantastic. They are always ready and willing to speak with me should I have any concerns.Parking:You will always have a spot if you are home before about 10 PM. There have only been a few times where I parked on the street and there is PLENTY of street parking. You cannot expect a property to be having cars towed at all hours of the night for someone who parked without living there.Overall:If you want a place within walking distance of downtown Chandler then this would be a great option. I will definitely be renewing my lease pending any change in price.
I moved in here 01/2016 i absolutely loved it till they changed the way we were allowed to pay rent and would charge me late fees because there website wasnt allowing me to pay the rent on time with 2 different payments like it was for the first 4-5 months. That being said that was only the start. The clubhouse and pool is 24hrs but there are a lot of college people living here and throwing parties waking me up anywhere from 12-3am cops are called almost every night for noise complaints. Told office that this is unacceptable I have work, office didnt do anything about it except right an email to all residents saying they might be putting a time the area will close. You get fobs to get in and out of buildings and gates as well as pool area, people that dont even live on site somehow get in to the lot and use the pool cause you only have to reach in and unlock from other side. Apartments are in a hallway like hotels with secure door but tenets like to leave them slightly open making anyone allowing them to come in the apartments. Office staff is really nice but they dont communicate very well one says one thing and another says something different. making it a use headache when you need something like repair or about how much you owe for the month. They dont put in your lease that you pay for the clubhouse water, trash, sewer and electric on top of your own apartments water, trash, sewer and electric. so your monthly rent is different every time. They have had 20-30 people move out within the last month I was there. The Noise Is bad you can hear your neighbors. I know my upstairs neighbors vacuum schedule and he vacuums at night and wakes me up. I left in July/August 2016.Office WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU FOR ANYTHING!!!THEY ARE NICE APARTMENTS! BUT THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!
I loved living here, onpy problem was one of the ladies (cant remember her name) up at the front desk was rude to us most of the time. Everyone else was super sweet and helpful. Overall I did really like living here, and all of the amenities that were available!
I love living here. I work from home and this complex has so many places for me to go hangout and work. Highly recommend checking it out!
The management at this complex is outrageous and out of control. I absolutely hated living here. First of all, parking is a HUGE issue. There was never enough parking and we often struggled to find even a single space in the complex at any time after 3pm. When we first moved in we were told that parking would not be a problem and that there would be towing, however, we were told towards the end of our lease that they would begin towing so Im not sure if or when they stopped. Another problem is that there was barely any grass at all for our dogs and the door by our complex had rocks that always had a strong stench of urine. The steps to our building were broken for a long time during our lease and we felt that this was a safety hazard. Another problem was that we felt as though the hallways were not clean and were actually dirty. Also, the pedestrian gates did not close. By far, the worst part of living here was dealing with the management. It is my personal belief that Jake was very rude and lied to my wife and I on multiple occasions. I also believe that he inappropriately gave out my personal information to other tenants. Instead of an apology, I was served with an eviction notice as well as a cease and desist simply because I had left a negative review. It is embarrassing that the lawyer who served us this document failed to spell many words correctly and failed to use proper Grammar. We looked up his business and it appears that their lawyer is operating out of a run-down house in Phoenix. Interestingly, the eviction notice was never signed and dated and it was not sent via certified mail either. Had we chose to fight this in court, I believe it would be found to be a false eviction since nothing was done legitimately. We even tried to reach out to higher-ups in Woods management and were at first ignored and then treated poorly by them. It was obvious that they did not care about our problems. Finally, after being told that there were no problems on move-out (as the staff was surprised at how well we kept our apartment) we had an almost $200 bill that was sent to collections even though we were never sent notice for this bill nor were we told what the charges are for or that there would even be any charges at all! Once again, I believe that Jake has lied to us. This is so unprofessional of Woods management and in my experience is typical of their behavior. They even kept our deposit so I dont know why they are trying to take more money from us and are attempting to ruin my credit for a bill that I was never even sent notice of. I feel like all of their actions against me have been morally wrong, as well as extremely vindictive and malicious. I will be fighting this fradulent charge. The management threatened to take me to court for my review even though it is ALL the truth/my personal opinion. I am putting back up this review because Alta/Woods management will NOT take away my constitutional right to free speech like they have continuously tried to do. If you are looking for a place that will evict you and threaten to sue you for leaving an honest but negative review, has rude staff, and an uncleanliy environment with no parking then this is the complex for you!
Amazing property! Stunning.. if your looking for luxury, with top of the line amenities, here is your new home!!
Going to rate it a 1 because went to look at fell in love with it bought reading the rest of the reviews and was very disappointed on some of the things I saw like random people walking inside of the property and including homeless people drungs going by the pool and people being very Inconsiderate of other people and her neighbors Also read that this place except people with Nasty habits of drugs and such the place no being secured and drugs being around the property is very very negative impact on my Decision to think I was going to bring my family to live here really upset me I am very big on review specially coming from people that live there also read that the Maintenance is very horrible take for ever to fix something for the amount that this place chargers a month it better b smooth Sailing from the point u start living here to when u live witch is not the Scenario in this apartments was not going to b retting because of everything that this place has going on specially the drugs and not being secured at all ! Not controlling the traffic that these not belong in the building as far as Homeless people walking around in the properly Taken baths in the pool this are things I read all so had pictures on there of ... thanks to the person that show use around was very friendly with my family !
The community itself is beautiful, however the level of maturity of a lot of the tenants leaves something to be desired. No respect for fellow residents, loud obnoxious music by the pool at all hours of the night, drunk millenials hooting and hollering while wandering about the property at 2am and later....and our illustrious security force is no where to be found. We have lived here for 5 months, and the police have been here more in that time than in 2+ years at our previous community....today included. Cmon Alta Steelyard staff....clean it up and perhaps you will start retaining residents instead of having them running away!!!
Location is convenient to Downtown Chandler shopping small businesses like The Religious Store and enjoying the nightlife at the local eateries.
Love it here. Hi end, great amenities and events, pet friendly and nice staff.
I have lived at Alta Steelyard for 3+ years now and have not considered moving anywhere else! Not only is this one of the premier apartment complexes in the East Valley, it has THE BEST STAFF ever managing this complex. There is Jake, Becca, Becky, and Nancy and they are all amazing. While here at Alta Steelyard, I have lived in a 2 bd 2 bth townhome and have had NO issues. Facilities and maintenance have been very prompt and efficient (s/o to David). My renewals have been very competitive (s/o to Jake). My overall experience has been very accommodating and memorable to say the least (s/o to Becky, Nancy, & Becca). Hence this is the reason I will be renewing my lease AGAIN in February!Thank you for making this place more than an apartment but also a HOME!
Staff Cassandra and this other chick were crooked and rude. I just had a newborn and they started threatening to take my kids. My neighbor Erin Conaway psychopath she worked for main office. Erin started spreading rumors throughout the building. I experienced a defamation of my character, tenants stared and taunted me and my children and pretty much forced us out.I had police reports and pictures, witnesses and written letters with witnesses signatures.Horrible group.
I lived here for 13months and I have nothing but good things to say about the property and their office staff. This is hands down the best place to live if you’re looking for resort style living. I will miss grilling in their rooftop over seeing downtown Chandler along with their “speakeasy” that offers free drinks on Thursdays. Any maintenance request were always fulfilled within hours of submission. Danielle Paulson and Rebecca are just awesome people to be involved with as they make you feel welcome at all costs. I can’t express how appreciative I’am of Danielle Paulson as she stepped up as a true professional when I came across personal issues. She is an asset to the team @ Olympus Steelyard. My hats is off to the organization as a whole !
Extremely disorganized.
The sense of community at Alta is excellent. Free happy hours, trivia, & cooking classes are a few of the value-add community events that will be hard to find elsewhere. The property is well-maintained and the clubhouse is a place I actually like to hang out, plus its open 24 hours. The girls up front are AMAZING! Extremely friendly and have gone out of their way to accommodate some of my unique requests. Downsides are really hard to find, but ill mention a few things. First, there is a noticeable lack of grass for our furry friends, however, we have made due as there are many rock areas for dogs to relieve themselves. Lots of dogs on the property, so I assume this isnt a deal-breaker for many other pet owners either. I have an EV and they are currently working on a charging solution. I was told before I moved in that they were working on it, and now that they have a resident that has an EV there seems to be more of a push from management. Lastly, the location is bitter-sweet. Its really great to be walking distance to all the happenings in DT Chandler. But the surrounding neighborhood is still a little sketchville, especially at night. Police cars are often seen/heard on the streets nearby dealing with local trouble. The only safety issue we had was an incident where a man jumped the back fence and tried to enter a building, when he wasnt successful he asked to borrow my wifes phone (as she was out walking our dog) because he lost his. He was running from the cops and took off before they showed up. All in all, I feel about 85% safe, which given the area is pretty good in my book. The buildings themselves require a key to enter and the units have double locks so internally everything is very secure. Overall, my wife and I love it here and are very satisfied with the offering. As with any complex there are pros and cons. Alta Steelyard offers a lot pros, and the cons are external factors, not management or amenity related. I highly recommend!
Place is so ghetto walls are so thin you hear everything your neighbors do everything whole complex smells like dog urine dogs in the pool dogs barking at 5 am no parking drunks trying to get in your apartment in the middle of the night loud party’s through the week got charged twice for rent they didn’t even take care of there mistake had to dispute it with my bank pay 70 dollars in fees save yourself the headache go to liv or Camden
Alta Steelyard Lofts is a great community to live in. You feel right at home!
I was considering this place for a rental but I spoke with a few of the tenants and they said that the management lacked responsibility for attention to problems like 1 bathtub having Coldwater and one bath tub having hot water. I also had my kids playing a game and lost their money twice and the management superficially apologized and said they put it out of order sign on the game and 25 minutes past the acknowledgement there was still no sign and they fully seemed not to care that I had lost my money on their game as small as it is. There are other conversations due to bad management that I will not go into. Needless to say I will not rent from this place
Parking is terrible it’s not worth the money you pay to live here I’ve been here 2yrs it was the worst decision I’ve ever made I will not do a 3rd year here and I would never recommend anyone to live here
Resort living. Love it!!!
LOVE IT HERE
Nice place to live
