To start if I could rate this a ZERO I would. This place is a joke. The pricing is EXTREMELY high for the rat hole they wanna rent. You ask for something to get repaired and the response is We will look at it and there will be a fee. Poor customer service from new management. They know nothing about renters and maintaining an apartment complex. Worthless to say the least.
The best thing about this property is the staff. The front office folks make everything clear and easy and do a quick and responsive job of answering questions. I cant believe how well they are managing with COVID causing so many problems. The grounds are well-maintained, the units are a fantastic for the price and area. No complaints, highly recommended.
Perfectly ghetto, great for us poor people who dont know any better. Definitely better than being on the street!
Roach heaven not to mention the office personnel is horrible.
Anybody knows how we are supposed to pay rent with Henri not working?Cant find the community on the app? No one is answering the phone...Any help is appreciated
Ive lived here about 14 months now. Nice community, friendly staff, disturbances are little to none, and my favourite part is that its green! Tall trees well kept grass everywhere almost makes me forget i live in Chandler (until its 115 like today). I have and will continue to recommend this little place.
This is the worst apartment I have ever lived in.The grounds are covered in trash and drug paraphernalia. The office never answers the phone, or responds to any concerns. I also had a neighbor in the complex trying to break into my home on multiple occasions and the apartment complex did nothing for me until the THIRD 911 call
There is absolutely nothing luxury about this property. There is more roaches then tenants. The apartment is extremely small the rate this place is charging is rude and disrespectful. I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy. They should be ashamed of themselves. If nothing else ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES
I love living here. Office girls very professional. Miss joselyne always quick and polite. Very nice young lady. Had a problem yesterday solved today. Thank you office ladies😁
🤷♀️Just signed my new lease and couldn’t wait to do so..... After not living in an apartment for 40 + years I was apprehensive to say the least BUT.....I’m here for the long haul. The pool is awesome and the gym, tho small, gets the job done. The office staff are pleasant and helpful. It’s well lit at night and the laundry room is expansive. It’s walking distance to Walmart so who could ask for anything more? 🙏⚓️
They wont even answer the phones, Ive left voicemails as well.
Roach infestation, the water shuts off without warning (3-4 times so far in 2 months), the refrigerator stopped getting cold out of nowhere so all my food spoiled, they don’t have spray bottles or towels in the gyms to clean after working out (not to mention the treadmills are broken & the dumbbells are missing). Highly recommend that you move somewhere else.
Our family moved in a couple of weeks ago and love it here! The apartment is top notch along with the appliances and flooring. Quiet area with well lit parking spots. Very clean and well kept. The staff’s attentiveness, understanding, friendliness, and service have been amazing! Would definitely recommend it especially for young families.
My neighbors are awesome stop here is fine maintenance is on top of things for me anyway, thanks crosswinds
I’ve been here for 2 years. Sure it’s not perfect here.... washers and dryers are constantly broken, won’t get anything upgraded in your unit, units are incredible small, you may have bugs occasionally But compared to my friends apartments in other areas, who’ve had vandalism, I’ve never had issues with crime personally. Yes, there have been drug dealings that go on in broad daylight because they keep renting to low life’s but the location is awesome, you can walk to downtown Chandler. You get what you get, for this price in this area.
I would have given this place a one for the way that the management alters the paperwork after its been signed, the charges that they first gave to my boyfriend when he moved in after he had already paid, as well as, they allow maintenance to come in here without notice and nobody being home despite thats the tenant signed against that. When he brought this to management attention they try to act like he had verbally told them yes over the phone, however he was smart and recorded the conversations and caught, I believe her name was Lisa lying about that, and putting in the work orders allowing maintenance to enter without anybody being here, but if you dont mind people coming in and going through your stuff when youre not home, and the people responsible for giving those orders tell you to go to the police, because they cant handle it, then its probably the best(nothing special, or luxurious by any means), living space that youll find in this area of Chandler in this price range.
Rediculous they charge crazy and inappropriate fees for pets. They go on bragging about how they think pets are part of the whatever blah blah blah blah. But then they charge a pet deposit, pet fee and pet rent! Pick one! We are already paying a deposit to move in, and what in the world is a “pet fee“? How about just a deposit or pet rent. It’s unethical to charge for pet rent when you’re already charging for the unit. Obviously you really don’t want your tenants to have pets so you make them jump through great hoops and charge them “fees” upon “fees” for something already paid for. Not good.
I have lived here almost 4 years and, have had a pleasant experience no major problems with my apt, no problems with getting anything fixed and no issues management you treat people like you want to be treated I dont like drama so I dont give any. Quiet and peaceful landscaping is nice too very convenient. Stores are right across the street I say give it a go you might like it.
SUPER cute! I just moved to Crosswinds and love my new apartment and the team! I cant tell you a better location. I am so close to downtown Chandler and the highway! Thank you Dora and your team!
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE GETTING AN UPGRADED 1 BEDROOM AND WHEN I MOVED AFTER PAYING EVERYTHING I GOT A DUMP. THE MANAGEMENT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR NOTHING AND PUTTING A WORK ORDER IN FOR REPAIRS FORGET IT! IVE LIVED HERE ALMOST A YEAR AND BARELY JUST GOT BASEBOARDS INSTALLED IN MY APT AFTER PUTTING IN 3 WORK ORDERS! ONCE AGAIN DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!
If I could give it negative stars, I would. Management does not care about cleanliness, customer service, or keeping residents happy at all. The pool has been shut down by Maricopa county due to health issues. The laundry room services have been closed down every other week for the past few months. The ladies in the office shrug their shoulders if you ever tell them about an issue. The only good part about this apartment complex is the maintenance staff, always amazing and friendly.
We went for viewing, people that worked here are not friendly they don’t talk to you and they dont smile. to the management. You should train employees good customer service. The room wasn’t bright. There’s a gloomy feeling when you get in.
Tried applying for an apartment and was told there was one available and when I applied online and brought everything in they didnt have any available. They took my money orders and copies to hold and said they will give me a call back to let me know if there was one available that day. Tried calling, NO answer and tried emailing NO response. Going back in to get my money order because they never got back to me! Come to find out they only give me back one money order and tell me they dont have any available. Management is so UNPROFESSIONAL and had attitude with me the whole time!! If I could I wouldnt give them ANY stars!
Do Not Rent from here. I was at Crosswinds apartments for three months. I had roaches since day one. I told Jocelyn who is a leasing consultant of the issue on day one. She even came to my apartment to let me in the first day and roaches were present. She advised me that she would put me on a pest control list which never happened. They do have pest control come every Wednesday. But they neglected my apartment for a month. Until finally a technician came out to inspect the apartment. I was told it is a serious issue but that it would need to wait till next Wednesday when they come back. In the meantime my dog Rico was vomiting a lot due to the spray and eating one of these bugs. I got sick and my health was becoming an issue with the roaches being in the apartment. After 3 months still no fog treatment. I ended up signing an early termination contract because I could not live under these conditions anymore. They did not want to lose $$$ so they werent willing to do the right thing and break my lease. $1538 is my termination fee. I would not advise living here if you want to deal with this issue.
My experience: 4 leaks, 2 floods, cockroaches, slow service even forget, poor communication,is trying to steal my deposit even though I fulfilled the lease, stolen mail,no courtesy patrol, currently jacking up rent for same garbage apartments, pool closed more than open, office pretends to care, base rent for my place was 650$ a month plus a shady 200$ extra a month so 850$ for 323 sq ft apt(garbage)and make no mistakes your water sewer and trash are not included you pay for each and every one...just dont live here save yourself the hassle.
This is my second year here and I must say it wasn’t a good first year but a few months ago they have actually and finally evicted all the drug dealers and pot heads. It’s so quiet now. No more cops at all hours. No more drama. I’ll be Staying a third year.
My step son moved into this apartment complex in March of 2017. He immediately realized it to be a mistake leading rapidly to a nightmare. Obviously, there are drugs everywhere, but the amount of drug dealers in this complex alone is unbelievable. The apartment he rented has had a continual odor and mold problem that the management refuses to deal with. Furthermore, when the roaches rearrange the furniture in broad daylight while your trying to kill them, that should be a flag to management, to call an exterminator. Still no action taken by the Management. I actually went and bought professional grade bombs to control the infestation. It worked for a month or so. Needless to say my son wants out. His lease expires March. These clowns are trying to get him to pay extra months rent. He gave them a deposit and the last months rent letting them know he was leaving. This is probably the worst managed rental property in Chandler.
I just moved here one month ago. I can only speak for myself..the office personnel..Alexis, Frances, and the manager Lisa have been very helpful and a delight to deal with them with my many questions and concerns. The maintenance crew were at my apt within 24hrs to fix what I had requested. Finally from reading prior posts, I can truthfully say that I have not seen any roaches in my apt. Believe me..being originally from NY I know what roaches look like ! Lol
If i could give this place a zero i could. These conditions are hardly livable. THE BUGS ARE SO BAD. Even with spraying for them, there are bugs everywhere, and not just roaches. For a while i woke up every day covered in bites. Sometimes i can’t walk outside without being attacked by ants. The staff couldn’t care less about us residents. Anytime i place a maintenance request or complaint i get brushed off and they act like everything is fine. Everything is NOT fine if my ac doesn’t work in the middle of summer. The sewer holes kept exploding and covering the complex in sewage, it was so bad i called the health department and they arrived within 2 hours. Don’t let all of the remodeling and stuff fool you, this place is awful and over priced.
For starters there is a serious roach issue here, the day I moved in I saw roaches on the sink counters. I told the leasing office and they told me to keep my sink drains covered. Secondly, the leasing office is only there to take your money and take complaints. No one there is going to do a thing besides tell you they’ll take care of it. Not when, just they’ll take care of it.
I am really not happy with this. They give you wall units for an A/C, but in order to have the apartment cool down from the summer you have to constantly keep them on. Which of course makes your APS bill go sky high. As soon as you turn them off it is unbearable, it gets way to hot. Not to mention they wall units shoot out of ton of dust and get on everything. I put in work order for it and nothing happened.
DO NOT RENT HERE!! Management is horrible and the apartments are absolutely disgusting!!! The police are there daily, drugs, homelessness and all around a nightmare!! Be AWARE of your surroundings all the time!! Just ask the police...NOT SAFE!!!
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! This was my husband & I’s first apartment together & we hated it. The neighborhood is super sketchy. Our car got broken into the first week we lived here. I told the office & they didn’t even care or say sorry it happened or anything. Police are here pretty much every day for something. There are crackheads roaming around at night. Druggies Asking to use your bathroom at 2 & 3 in the morning. Crosswinds with also try to get money out of you any way they can. When we moved in, they told us that they would work with us if we were ever going to be late on rent, but every time we went to them before rent was due, they wouldn’t work with us. They charge you an $80 late rent Fee & then $10-$15 a day until you pay it. They also don’t get maintenance requests done in a timely manner. You ask them to call before coming & they don’t. You pay way too much for a crappy shoebox apartment. You can only have Cox cable, no other cable. There’s a church nearby that broadcasts their sermon on a load speaker every Sunday for everyone nearby to hear so be prepared for that. There’s cockroaches & other bugs as well. Everything in our apartment was falling apart k leaking. Our dishwater never worked & we had them fix it 2 or 3 times. It’s just not a good place to live & I would encourage everyone to look elsewhere. We’ve been moved out for almost 2 months & still haven’t received our deposit back!! UPDATE: It was clear that Crosswinds wasn’t planning on giving us our deposit back. It wasn’t until we got a lawyer & served them that they finally sent us our deposit. It took them almost 3 months to get it to us when legally they were supposed to have it to us within 14 days. Again, DO NOT MOVE HERE. They are horrible!
The worst apartment on earth. The office ladies are rude and do not care about any of your issues. We were trying to move out of the area and asked about breaking our lease. We were told 5 different answers every time we asked. The pool was disgusting and was never cleaned. Police are always around, so I guess if you want to watch some live police action this may be the place for you.
Overpriced and trashy dont recommend this place to anyone. The front office is a joke
Staff was rude and unpleasant. Roaches everywhere and no one cares.
Crosswinds apartments are beautyful and comfortable you will love to live here pass on the word.
Worst place to live in I got evicted from these apartments and they didnt let me get all of my stuff with enough time to my knowledge they should at least let you get your stuff with enough time 1 hour is not an enough time to get everything.... this place owes me money for all the stuff theyve kept in the apartment.. the staff is rude and unprofessional..
So far, so good. Been there for a month and have yet to see a single roach or bug as mentioned in so many of the other reviews. Maybe theyre not as bad when its this cold out? Rent seems fair and management easy to work with. It tends to get a little bit noisy as our unit is right up the stairs from the playground. One neighbor has a young child constantly running back and forth across the shared balcony and playing/stomping on the stairs, but I guess thats apartment living for ya. The complex cant really be blamed for peoples children. Other than kids, I havent found it to be very noisy and so far all of the neighbors that Ive encountered have been friendly. Will update as time goes by.
THE GHETTO ! This place is infested with roaches . Moved here with a friend but separate apartments . Hers became flooded because of backed up plumbing from a neighbor. There was no emergency matinence so she had all of her belonging in 3 inches of water . Brought in fans and wet vac . But floor was ruined and moldy and stunk . Hazardous . My apartment was just as bad . Cockroaches everywhere was showed a model without carpet but I got a model with carpet just so happened the color of the carpet was the same color as the roaches . Dark red brown . This place is disgusting. If you can help it dont live here . Your pets your children’s health will be in danger .
This was by far the WORST experience I have ever had in an apartment. My initial thought was it was in an old neighborhood and had lots of character. For the amenities being offered the price was great. Within the first week the problems already started with simple things like my unit not being wired for phone lines so I had to get Cox cable internet instead of Century Link and strange people looking for the guy who lived there previously at all hours of the night.I had noticed some water damage in the bathroom and complained to leasing who just documented it in my lease. A couple days in I awoke in the middle of the night hearing running water. It was coming from my ceiling in the bathroom. It takes maintenance over a week to fix it and its still looks like its leaking. Speaking of water damage don’t even try to use the fitness center. There has been a flood in there and the humidity from the inevitable mold growing behind the ridiculous orange paint will keep you sick for weeks. Thank god for health insurance! As for the overall atmosphere, people are always parking in your covered parking, the pool was green for 2 weeks at the start of summer because they always forget how to work the pump, and the volleyball pit is a giant litter box for the mean feral cats that really run this place.Given that PB Bell wasn’t the best I also was around when First Communities took over which was a real treat. In May I notified the leasing office that I would like to renew my lease and add a pet. During this time a lease was generated without my pet on it so I requested another. That’s when First Communities took over. I requested my lease 5 times from the new manager Julie and she told me she was new and didn’t know how. After she figured it out they refused to honor the lease I agreed to with PB Bell and had raised my rent $200. I am sorry but $718 for a 300 sq. ft. apartment, give me a break. They also “lost” the agreement and addendum I had with PB showing I had a pet so they could refuse to give me that deposit back. These aren’t even all the problems. JUST DONT DO IT.
New management is unprofessional and stereotypes tenants because of the neighborhood and there are really no amenities. You also have to pay for WiFi on your own. The work orders take forever, if they are done at all.
I wish I could give them zero stars these apartments are disgusting & overpriced for no reason
I have lived here for a year and I love the it...staff is great and If I need fixing it is done...I just signed for another year its a great price
I no longer live here, but I did live there for a year it was terrible at first so many people problems, my neighbors were druggies, but Lisa did get them out of there, I like the place but just to small for a family of 4, if single or married with a baby its great but no more than that, i like living here, and maintenance always fixed anything that needed to be!
ENTIRE COMPLEX IS INFESTED WITH ROACHES!!!!! Muchas Cucarachas! Before I moved in. I asked the rental specialist about Roaches, and told them I did not want to rent anywhere where I had to deal with more than an ultra rare roach. The associate assured me as long as I wasnt nasty. I wouldnt get them, and they could not guarantee me a low amount of roaches. Thats what she said. She would not show me the unit I was going to rent, but only the floor unit, and stated she could not walk across the complex, because she was alone that day. When I received the keys. I walked in and was greeted by roaches running on the walls, counters. Dead ones on the floor. I had them fumigate twice, and even fumigated myself. That did reduce the amount for a couple of weeks, but were very soon back in full force. I asked them to let me out lease due to the fact I was finding roaches in my coffee cream, even in my fridge. I eventually had to stop eating, or preparing food in the apartment, and just had to eat fast food three meals a day. I asked them to let me out of my lease so I could find a place that didnt have roaches, and they refused. Told me they had a lot of people that would request to terminate lease due to roaches, and they couldnt possible let them all. I could not take it anymore, and eventually just turned in the keys. Now they have creditors calling, and people showing up at relatives houses trying to serve me court summons to sue me for the rest of the lease money. I havent seen them yet though. SORRY, BUT THIS IS PLACE IS THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. Thats why its the cheapest place in Chandler.Pros: Besides being mislead into signing their lease, and then trying to sue me for the money. The staff was actually really nice and helpful about everything else. The parking is pretty good too.
I use to stay here awhile back ago when they sold the property.. At the time my lease ended and I wanted to renew for another 6 months or so. Keep in my mind I stayed in a small studio paying $515.00 a month, thats just rent. I went to the office to get renewed on my lease and it turn out my new monthly fee was $680.00..Okay lets do the math here, 680rent + 150 utilities= 830(utilities varies).. Really?? For a small size studio.. Right then and there Itold them im moving out.. They threaten to take me to court because i didnt give them a 30 days notice.. Well, you guys didnt give me a notice about jacking up the rent.. Thank God i didnt put down a deposit when i move-in this place.. I used the money i saved to put down on another apartment that was cheaper and cleaner... I was one of the lucky ones, but I cant speak for does that use to or still stay there..Im writing this review to reach out so I can atleast make a difference in someones life...P.S.I concur with all negative reviews listed
These apartments were horrible to live in. Roach infested, police were called there almost every night, crazy people living there. A lot of people were getting evicted out of there and they are raising the rent like crazy. 730 for a small one bedroom?! Get outta here! The office ladies are also very rude and snippy when you are trying to talk to them about a problem. Be careful with ur last month or you may get evicted after your lease is up, which is a waste of time and makes no sense to do to somebody. Thank god our lease is up and we are getting out of there on Wednesday and moving to Tucson where it is more affordable! We will never live here again or reccomend anyone to live here!
The absolutely most disgusting place I have ever lived. There was always roaches! The renovation is very much for visuals only. Once you start looking at the actual workmanship of the inside you can tell there are serious underlying issues that were simply covered up. My wall A/C was so old it smelt like mildew every time I turned it on and was surely filled with mold and bacteria. I mentioned it several times to both maintenance personal and office staff. They just kind of look at you like wax statues. The maintenance guys probably just didnt speak English at all. Took 5 days to have them stop by to put two longer screws in my door hinge because it was so stripped out it was falling off. Two months into living here I had the worst pain under my rib. I went in to the hospital after a couple of days to find out that not only did I have infections throughout my sinuses, I had pneumonia and pleurisy. Both to which the doctor suggested was directly correlated to an ongoing intake of bacteria into my lungs. It is obviously a low end place to live, but when you have Mexicans bathing in the hot tub, fully clothed, clipping their bunions and scrubbing their legs with a loufa...I had to call it the end of my stay, no matter the repercussions. I would never recommend living here unless you are use to living in Mexicos much worse conditions or homeless on the streets.
Never would i recommend this place to anyone. At first it was nice, management was friendly always on top of everything. The last few months i was staying there the weather got pretty bad with the rain and the winds. My roof started leaking I immediately called for emergency maintenance, I guess they didnt see it as much of an emergency. I had another incident when my outlet started smoking in the middle of the night. Once again called for emergency maintenance, they didnt seem to see it as much of an emergency, so they decided to show up at 8am next morning, which made me late for work that morning. There have been numerous times when they have gotten raided, a lot of druggies, drunks, and alot of police showing up constantly. How disappointing no one should ever have to deal with any of there negligence. They either need to learn how to do there job or leave the place and let people who know how to do the job actually get it done. I had a horrible experience myself and would hate for anyone else to experience the same. Please if you read this STAY AWAY FROM THE CROSSWINDS.
This place is one big ass lawsuit waiting to happen. With the old wiring and the in wall AC units blowing the fuse the moment you try to use the AC. Now the Unit itself is broken and the response is two days for repair. Good thing im used to the Heat but definitely documenting everything these peope do. The black covers were supoosed to be temporary while more fuses were ordered. Its been two months. Now if i could only post video. Collapsing stairs and the office sits on ass doing nothing.
Since New Management, everything has gone downhill. The staff here is very cold-hearted. I tried to work something out with them due to an upcoming surgery and stated I could pay more than half my rent up front and the rest shortly after, but there they go racking up fees. As much as I hate to say, I hope karma gets them back and they are forced out of work with bills shortly after. I will not recommend these apartments to anyone!
I have not been here a full month and right now i wish that i didnt move here. Why because i put a work order in for my toilet because i cant flush it that was around 10 am it now 1:30 pm and still no one has showen upto fix it so i go to the office to find out how much longer and i get told not sure maybe a hour. How can u make it so someone doesnt have a bathroom and it no big deal in the office wow . This makes me so mad i have to go to the bathroom and cant go. Please think before renting from here
The complex has changed owners for the last 3 years. The current owners First Communities, have increased rent by $110 and have not done any improvements but paint building white. The office staff are not customer friendly. Maintenance hotline is only an answering machine. True maintenance emergencies are not handled timely. Maintenance emrrgencies have been handled next day. A lot needs to be fixed now. I would not recommend this complex to amyone who wants great customer service and prompt actions. You wont get that here. Look some other place. By the way previous owners PB Bell did a great job getting the roaches under control and they had great customer service and prompt maintenance response.
I lived here for a year in a studio. I had a good experience here. No problems.
One bedroom apartment for rent
This place sucks RUN AWAY terrible place to stay. They charge us for rent but wont charge the roaches! Like what kind of s#@t is that ? The management is piss poor have no respect. Im not gonna leave a big long message because they already said it but what ever you do DO NOT MOVE IN!!!!!
************DO NOT MOVE HERE**************When I moved into this apartment complex not even 24 hours after signing my lease I was greeted by roaches. I called the office within minutes after cleaning them up that I needed someone to come and spray the apartment. I was told I would have to wait until Friday May 8th (6 days) for them to come out. I called them again 6 days later to make sure I was on the list. I called them about 5 days later for more live roaches scurrying in the apartment I was told again I would have to wait until Friday May 15th for them to spray (2 days). I walked into the office with 2 witnesses advising them of newly hatched roach babies all over under my kitchen sink as well as several adults. They then decided to fumigate the apartment. Meanwhile, I had to pack up my stuff, grab my small dog and find a place to sleep. I called them on May 19th advising them I could no longer live at this apartment complex. They fumigated the apartment on Friday the 22nd. I walked into the apartment on May 24th (2 days after they fumigated) to gather the rest of my things I found more live roaches and this time could snap a photo of it, the babies were too small for the resolution. I had to sleep with the lights on... I was forced by the roaches to leave the complex and find somewhere else to live because they were everywhere. I lived in that apartment regretfully for 19 days. The manager name is Holly. She seemed to have an attitude which my witnesses agreed with me on that part as soon as we walked into the office. I feel that I have been cheated out of my money for a place that is unlivable. My work had suffered. My stress levels are out of the roof. I just want my deposit back and be let out of the lease. I have thrown hundreds of dollars worth of food away. I had to move all my stuff out of the apartment in not even a month. Moving isnt cheap. I will pursue with legal actions if necessary but I am hoping I do not have to. If I do it will be for everything I have had to throw away, moving expenses, and my deposit.*************** DO NOT MOVE HERE*****************
Staff here was very unfriendly and have absolutely no further interest in pursuing this as a place of residence.
I have only lived here for five days and i do not like the roaches and there is a loud noise that goes on about 9 to 10 at night but i still have to figure out what it is other than that its been just okay.i have a year to be here so i will see.
Some of there buildings are infested with bed bugs BEWARE!!!
DO NOT move in to this apartments! The WORST maintenance I have ever seen. I would have given negative stars if that was possible.
Crosswinds apartments are full of BS.PLZ STAY AWAY.read all the reviews they are true
Horrible experiences
I do not recommend these apartments every contract that I have raised a lot and also my apartment is in poor condition and I asked for a remodeled one and they wanted them to pay more
