Summit at San Marcos deserves the highest remarks for an apartment complex in my opinion. I just moved out after living here for the past year, only because I took a job in Ca. If I was remaining in Arizona, I would have definitely renewed my lease. I lived in a 1 bedroom apartment with a loft, with an amazing view of Downtown and a golf course. The apartment was very spacious and modern/updated, with a huge patio. Amenities are great, and loved having a package room with 24 access. Speaking of Downtown, it is literally a 5 minute walk from the apartment complex, with plenty of restaurants/bars and a movie theater.Crystal assisted me with moving in from out-of-state, and the move-in process was extremely smooth. Jacquie provided me with a virtual tour of the apartment before move-in, and was great at communicating throughout my residency at Summit. The grounds are very well kept by Joe and Ricardo. Joe in particular was awesome; he got to know me and my dog while I was living there, and was very comforting when I unfortunately had to say goodbye to my dog in December. I only had one or two times I needed maintenance, and they were prompt in handling the issues. I would strongly recommend this apartment complex to anyone moving to Chandler.
Well. I haven’t even moved in yet but I can’t tell you how excited I am.. property is extremely nice, price point makes sense, and i’d like to personally thankPepper, she’s amazing. Definitely great service and responsive.Go see her
I absolutely love the complex and all the staff! I have never lived somewhere with such a friendly crew. Unfortunately the entitled tenants here dont know how to follow simple rules and ruin the amenities for everyone else. The pool constantly has to be shut down for days for cleaning after weekends of partying with children using the hot tub as a kiddie pool instead of the actual kiddie pool getting so much sand at the bottom they actually have to drain the tub. Same with the dog park, I dont understand why it is so hard to pick up your pets waste, but again, the tenants here are beyond entitled. I wish the complex could be upgraded with cameras just so they could actually fine residents for being so disrespectful. Overall my experience here since 09/2020 has been phenomenal, just a lot of new residents lately that seem to think the maintenance and housekeepers work for them personally.
Summit San Marcos has been our home for 2 years, and we’re signing our new lease soon! The apartments are beautiful, and our community areas look like a resort! But what do I love most? Our management team! Crystal & Jaquie are incredibly attentive and caring (as are the entire office team.) Joe and his maintenance team keep our neighborhood clean and beautiful, and I always feel safe and secure here. Any service requests that I’ve submitted are addressed immediately. Honestly, my neighbors are friendly & always say hello. My fellow dog parents are awesome! This really is a great community. I know that people complain about parking, but that’s the builders fault for not allowing enough room for everyone. Our management team had nothing to do with that decision. There is limited room, but if that’s the only issue we have, then I think we’re ahead of the game. Come visit, you’ll love it. We do 🥰
I really loved living at Summit at San Marcos! The apartments are beautifully updated and the pool is amazing! It’s definitely worth it to pay for a parking space because there is very limited parking. Also, my apartment backed up into the busy Chandler Blvd and the traffic noise was really loud inside. It’s something you’ll get used to and a sound machine worked well for me. Jacqui is a wonderful person who was always so helpful to me. If I could have stayed longer, I would have- such a cute, fun place to live!
Summit at San Marcos sets the bar very high as far as apartment living. The apartments a very spacious and look even better in person. They are very modern and beautifully made. The pool and gym at top notch. When you invite family and friends over they will be blown away from all the luxury Summit at San Marcos has to offer. Not only is the property well maintained but the staff is so nice. Jackie took her time to answer all my questions and made my move in experience very easy and relaxed. Her team also is very helpful and easy to approach if you have any issues. 10/10!
Worst management ever, we moved out Almost two months and still havent receive our deposit yet. Every time we call theres no one to answer the phone, when you get someone on the phone they tell you a bunch of lies. It dont take more then a month for some one to receive a mail within 30 miles of Phoenix so while I havent receive my deposit yet.
I have been a resident of the San Marcos complex from back when it was known as Alta San Marcos and now Summit at San Marcos. I can not say enough positive things about my time residing here. The facility is safe, clean, centrally located, and definitely gives you a sense of pride being a resident. Any visitors I have had have always been in awe of my home and surrounding amenities. The folks in management are always available and attentive to any requests - especially Jackie, who goes above and beyond for us residents. I would recommend Summit at San Marcos to any and all potential residents.
Jacquie is the best there is! She’s friendly, helpful, responsive and relatable. She made us feel like we were a part of her family during our entire stay. She is the reason we were able to live out one of our dreams of living in a loft apartment. Thank you for everything!!!
The problem here is alot for what you pay for ..No parking the garage ports are so small you will bang up your vehicle the spots fill up quick you will be parking in the dirt lot neighboring building. The overwhelming smell of pot on 2nd and 4th floors walking up and down halls and stairwells all day all month long you will have to deal with this problem everyday. Supposed to be smoke free community might want to rethink your stay.$2,400 for rent and have cockroaches and crickets in apartment have had a lot of issues with parking car towed and live as a resident here still rent jumped $700 with covid out break this is so not worth the cost
Relocated to Arizona for work in August and had 45 days to find s place to live...had my heart set on Scottsdale....2 days un I met a friend in downtown Chandler and drive by Summit at San Marcos and called to see if there was any availability but the girl that answered was not very welcoming at the time and told me to come back the following day to see Jacquie Pearson and thank god I did...It was because of this Amazing..friendly and accommodating woman that I decided to make my home at the Summit at San Marcos that same say hands down. As Director of sales for 23 years in the Hospitality Industry....she is a perfect example of True customer service and she always provides A1 service and assistance with a smile....Definately an asset to your company!!!!
Wonderful management and prompt responses!! Love it the environment, amenities, and quality of our apt. The community here is friendly and creates lots of opportunities to get to know each other.
Summit at San Marcos is a gorgeous property with a friendly community of you g professionals. I’ve lived here since June of 2019, and the new management company has been making the improvements necessary that they inherited when they bought the property. It’s beautiful, clean, modern and quiet. The pool is beautiful and the roof top views are breathtaking. I have a loft and I’m extremely happy with it! Lastly, the staff is great! Jacquie is awesome! She always greets us with a smile, is approachable and friendly. The maintenance team is solid as well. This is the best property in downtown Chandler!
Great location with great views from the pool. The previous management group was amazing. The place really went downhill when the new property group took over. The front desk staff is not friendly, especially Crystal. Anytime I would ask her a question or bring up a concern, she had this look on her face that my existence was bothering her. Jackie was nice though!! I originally gave them a 5 star review because they had a resident party and said for anyone that gave them a good review would be entered into a raffle to win gift cards or a TV. But now I can give my honest review. The only nice thing about this complex is the view of the golf course if you are lucky enough to get a room facing it, and the view from the pool. The maintenance team was amazing though and super friendly! Props to them. A lot of my friends that I met living there broke their lease and moved out though once the new property group took over.
I moved in back in November 2019. I was in a rush to find a place and just so happened to pull in to take a look. Quite honestly, I was not expecting to have a great experience but from the start I couldnt be happier. The staff is great, the maintenance is on time, my neighbors are super friendly, the amenities are outstanding. I love the view and the apartments are so clean and modern.A special thanks to Crystal. I had some questions about my bill for Jan. She called me back within 2 hours, did a full audit and realized there were some errors. She corrected it on the spot and was super helpful. If you are looking for a great place. Check this place out!
Here for 3 months now and couldnt be happier. The management team takes care of all my needs and are extremely friendly. In addition the maintenance team keeps the buildings clean and tidy.
We love living here and the community is amazing! We use the pool and hot tub all the time and our view of the golf course is the best! I would recommend this to everyone.
Love the community and staff! Great location to downtown Chandler and San Marcos golf course. The apartments are beautiful as well!
I appreciate the great strides the new management is making to making this community feel like home again. I appreciate the parking changing, but would like to see more enforcement of the parking as people still violate the policy.
New management is great! Abby, Jackie and Crystal are always there if we need help or have questions. Very professional. We were excited to sign a second lease.
Recently moved to Summit at San Marcos. The leasing staff and maintenance team is very attentive and great customer service. Summit is clean and well kept.
Amenities are amazing! Staff is friendly and very helpful. Location is close to amazing brewery’s and restaurants. Fairly close to freeways to commute to work. Spacious apartments, Bluetooth speakers are amazing! Aside from the sound of the cars passing on chandler Blvd. it was expected and I can live with it. Big thumbs up on these apartment homes!
I’d have to agree with the other review. It’s presently 00:05 and there are 4 out of the 7 handicap parking spots that being filled with cars that don’t have hanging tags or license plates. That’s very disturbing that this is allowed to happen. I enjoy living here but I agree that policies in the lease should be enforced. Especially cars illegally parked in the complex. What happens if a resident actually needs to utilize that parking space and unable to because it’s being occupied by a resident that shouldn’t be there? Should they park even further away? Across the street? Down the block?
The Staff at San Marcos is great and they do a wonderful job at making the residents feel at home and the amenities are 1st class.
Amazing! the people are so nice here! they keep it very clean. beautiful.
Nice apartment complex, aside from the cheap single pane windows and sliding doors, being that we are on a busy street. I hear every car or truck that drives by and was told to reduce the loud noise with sound proof curtains that I can purchase or accept it as white noise perhaps. I am on the fourth floor and hear everything, even people walking and talking on the street! The noise wakes me up every morning at around 5am and takes away from the feeling of a peaceful home. Parking is horrible and you have to be on a waiting list to get assigned parking if you dont want to walk an eternity with your heavy groceries. Or you can pay $150/month for a garage, which is probably why the parking is horrible. I didnt get to look at the apartment before move in because it was not ready. I would have insisted on the golf course view apartment, if I knew how cheap their windows were but I like my view of the mountains. Not feeling like home. I was offered the opportunity to move to a less noisy location, but that is super inconvenient, since I already went through the stress of moving here and changing my address and everything. Nothing can be done with the cheap windows though, yet this is supposed to be luxury.
The property used to be managed well when it was managed by Wood. Alliance has taken over and its truly awful. The staff is poorly trained and/or rude when you have to communicate with them. Its really sad because the units are gorgeous and overall I love the property... but the staff, no.
I’m a soon to be former resident here. Although I’ve enjoyed my time here hopefully this will get someone’s attention. As a disabled resident this complex refuses to enforce the parking addendum that is in our lease. It states that any car parked in a handicap parking spot must have hanging tag or license plate. This complex repeatedly allows numerous cars to park there without any consequences. They do it every night and still continue to do so. I don’t think it’s hard to enforce the law. It’s illegal and you basically saying you care about the doable residents nor uphold the policies placed in your lease which state that those cars would be towed. I am forced to park a block away and walk which is painful for me and I see these disrespectful residents doing it because you allow it. I’m so glad to be leaving this property. In addition there are numerous cars with expired tags which also states in our lease that cars should be current up to date and running. It’s two cars in that the year I’ve been here have never ever moved taking up spots from residents. Doesn’t matter if they have a sticker. If they don’t run or don’t have street legal tags then they are essentially using parking spots for storage.I’d normally recommend this property. But I can endorse my recommendation to a property that allows residents to park in handicap parking spots or allow other cars to park illegally there. They will be quick to evict if I didn’t pay my rent but don’t tow cars that clearly violate policies they put in the lease.
I would give zero stars if I could. We have had a terrible experience with this property from the very beginning. We applied for an apartment and was never informed it was handicap accessible. So when we found out we had to switch to a different floor plan. The measurements they gave us for the new floorplan were very incorrect for each room(when we measured it was way smaller). So we canceled to go somewhere else and they CLAIM we never paid our deposit. I have shown them proof of payment for our deposit, application fees, and administrative fees on multiple occasions. And they still won’t return our deposit money and they kept brushing us off with a “we’ll look into it” and then they NEVER called back. For three months we’ve had to contact them every time and basically start from the beginning with the issue of our refund. The newest excuse is that it was to “hold the apartment for 30 days” which was NEVER discussed. And I have a move in statement that SHOWS what charges were to be paid and NO WHERE does it show a charge to “hold the apartment for 30 days.” The team here is horrible. They are either dishonest or very lazy, and I’m guessing its a little of both. The only good thing I can say is THANK GOD we didn’t move in. I can’t imagine how horrible it would have been to live in an apartment with this type of staff. Con-artists and thieves.
There is no assigned parking, they charge way too much for a garage. I constantly have to park in a dirt parking lot two blocks from my apartment and then have to walk the streets at night by myself and my car isnt behind the gate Im paying for. Management doesnt keep the place clean on the weekends, only during the week. The amount they charge for rent and amenities is NOT worth living here for.
Having been a resident at Jefferson Chandler run by Alliance business manager Abbey Schleiter was just useless! Dealt with many rules being broken on our lease she pushed me to finally break my lease and when she realized I had too much evidence on her she called company lawyer and accused me of threatening her and for the remainder of my stay was banned from all community amenities and left me thousands in debt! Yep never late with my rent ever, always followed rules and never was my safety or happiness a priority..... my dog and I were always in danger ...... so yeah anyone looking to rent where she is in charge or Alliance run the other way!
Positives- units are nice, business center/lounging areas are immaculate, pool area is relaxing & they provide pizza/brunch every now & then on weekends. Why 1-star--We were offered 4-weeks free when we moved in Feb-2019 & never received it. Even after providing proof of the offer we had in writing, and via email, never received our 4-weeks free. The previous management team was supposed to have been looking into it, but nothing has been done about it since the new team took over.Regarding the cleanliness of the property, I do feel that mgmt has tried to address those concerns, at least in the building I reside within, but this is also the main building where the tours occur. I do not hear the crickets in the elevator anymore & the overwhelming odor of dog urine upon exiting/entering the side doors of the main building are occurring much less often, following a very stern address by the property manager. As a pet owner myself, its frustrating to be associated w/ bad actors who are not picking up after their pets, or who allow their pets to handle their business in areas where people congregate where it impacts the living experience, especially when you are not one of the bad actors. To be fair, pet owners need to take better ownership of that issue; no one else should have to pick up the mess pets leave behind besides the pet owner; I cannot fault mgmt/maintenance for that. Pet owners; be better. The reason for my speaking out is because the safety/security is a complete joke. The morning of 12/5/19, I start work around 5:00 AM every morning, so I take my pet outside around 4:45 AM daily. On this day I actually catch a person attempting to (break into) my car, parked in a garage/covered parking spot (that costs $200/mo). You can imagine how scary it is to actually catch this person in the act. Fearful, and shaking from adrenaline, I confront the person; after confronting the person doing it & each of us sizing the other up, the perp tells me that he actually lives here. Claims he was really drunk, the uber driver mistakenly took him to there. That is interesting because who he claimed to be living with, who is in fact a tenant here lives in an entirely different building across the front parking lot behind a completely different security gate. The supposed roommate was not even home & this guy just does not have a key to get inside the unit, but how does this explain what he was doing when I caught him dressed in all black, at 4:45 AM, attempting to break into a vehicle, at his roommates apartment complex, behind the wrong gate, at the wrong building, in a car that does not belong to either of them. How is this just a drunken mistake? Makes me wonder if this person has been scouting vehicles in the parking lot to attempt to steal. My partner is pregnant and often has to leave for work early in the morning around that same time or earlier. What would have happened if he had encountered her, and not me? How would he have responded if his fight/flight response directed to a vulnerable third trimester pregnant woman instead of me? Not having my cell phone on me, or my weapon, The perp was able to run off when the security gate opened again from a departing vehicle, and was never apprehended. When I go to report this to the office staff upon their opening that morning, THIS PERP IS ACTUALLY IN THE OFFICE talking with the staff. I come back later that morning to report what happened and honestly, I do not believe they cared. When I was informing them of what happened, one person behind the desk could not even give me the concern to look me in the eye while I was expressing this serious issue to them. I really do not believe they can appreciate, or care to appreciate how disgusting it is that one their own residents is associated with a person who will break into cars & potentially compromise the health and safety of their residents. I am not blaming the tenant for the actions of this man, but as tenants we are responsible for our guests. Luckily, Neither myself, or my family was hurt.MGMT: BE BETTER
This is the most beautiful community in Chandler. Feels like a resort! And the staff is super nice too!
Cons:-Parking: there is no parking for residents after a certain hour. There is no guest parking-Dogs: many residents walk their dogs without a leash and do not clean up after mess-Apartment quality: my AC has broke 3 times in 10 monthsPros:-Community events create a good environment-Location to Downtown Chandler
Personally would like to say Alta Has outstanding buildings in general & San Marcos is one of the nicest ones they have built i been inside and toured the property my self absolutely love the environment & staff is very friendly and helpful all floor plans are very lovely and modern very excited for my move in :)
What an amazing residency. Very beautiful place to live with plenty of amenities.
New management change and I’m already frustrated with the customer service could’ve been the person I spoke with I hope the full staff hasn’t changed but when I have an inquiry I expect to be spoken to politely and explained information thoroughly not speed talking rushing me off the phone negative tone I hate I resigned my lease
I love everything about my new apartment. The apartment is utterly amazing and contemporary, with character.
I do security in the unfinished apartments. Place is full of amazing amenities.
Awesome staff, cool neighbors, great amenities, fun times, and close to bars.
Love This Place
