We are 4 year tenants. We have seen managers come and go. The new Manager is Corrine Green. Once she stepped in she has taken charge. They brought in a new maintenance crew that stay on top of things. We once had our Garbage Disposable disconnect on a Saturday evening with water leaking. The maintenance person came up and fixed the issue immediately. Corrine has also been coordinating the landscapers and has been making the property look even better. She has a nice office staff who are quick to help us with any issues. One thing I will have to say about Corrine is that she cares, then they are not very many property managers that do. Come by and give this place a try, you will be happy you did. I give Corrine and Dobson 2222 5 stars.
Tina and Elizabeth have been the absolute best my two years here. The service and hospitality made my first time living in apartments something to miss. The apartments and location are amazing and is in the best town Ive ever lived in. Ill miss living here truly- Raymond D
Very bizarre how they have carpet in the bathrooms. Apartments could use some upgrades for the price they’re charging. They also charge a lot more for Parcel than other apartments nearby who have better amenities I might add. 3 stars only because of the nice office lady.
Edited my review to 1 star due to poor management and a disrespectful assistant manager. I would not recommend unless you want to be belittled and yelled at.
I came in for a tour with my boyfriend and the community is very nice and its in a great area! The model we looked at was very spacious and was also newly renovated and we loved it! We still havent quite made a decision between here and another place closer to work but Id highly recommend checking this place out if you are looking to move soon. The staff was very friendly! Sasha was so helpful when she was giving us the tour and telling us about our options and pricing! The manager seemed to be busy and we didnt talk much to her but I think her name was Tina, but she was still very nice as well and took the time to at least say hello to us! Oh and the pool? Gorgeous!!
Nice Apartment, enjoyed living here. Polite Sasha, ready to help Elizabeth and Tina.will miss Dobson 2222
Moved here in Jan 2020. So its been a year.Seen some good & bad reviews, some are true and some are not. Often tenants themselves are the problem and write bad reviews. Often good tenants start of with a bad foot and end up being unhappy. I be as honest with all of you as I can:Service: service is good and just. Tina and Elisabeth has helped a lot in the past. Quick e-mail responses always.Maintenance: Maintenance is superb and your issues gets sorted out the same day within few hours.HVAC: good powerful central system in place. HVAC is quiet and has Google Nest feature.Tenancy Interior: Honestly, could use a little renovation, but if you look around Phoenix everything that has been built in the 90s and 2000s has exactly the same sinks, carpet, vinyl, kitchen countertops, wall colour, etc.Condition is good and small repairs are noticeable if you are really picky. Some units undergo renovation but there are so many in community so one at a time. Spacious apartments, good planning.Appliances: work well and in good condition.Communal Infrastructure: parking is always available, people respect each other you will always find a spot to park. Clean and well looked after pools. Spa is great and spacious. Has kids playground and dog park. Gym is small, people hardly go there so really you have your own personal gym if you need one. Roads around the community are well planed out and community has 3 entrance gates. No traffic jams.Community: quiet and well behaved. People respect each and live by the motto You have your freedom, but our freedom ends there where someone elses freedom starts. You will be living with families, couples, young specialists. You will not hear excessive music or dogs barking. Keep windows open you can hear birds signing and enjoy the serenity of the place. You are close to shops and highways.Be kind, nice, respectful and you will be treated the same way.
Sasha was such a great help with my questions regarding the complex!! Thank you again and I appreciate your customer service, Sasha definitely deserves a raise for the immaculate service!
Watch out for the young lady Elizabeth at the front desk! She can be very passive aggressive and rude. She is a recent hire and before her everything was great when we worked with Tina. Elizabeth will go out of her way to inconvenience residents with outrageous charges that no sane person would adhere to.Her alone ruined my family’s experience as residents. I recently moved out October 2020.I would advise the Apartment complex to think about repositioning her for someone with better customer service skills.I give a 3 star because if it wasn’t for Elizabeth I would have given at least a 4 star but she ruins my whole thought of our experience.
We have enjoyed living here for the past 6 months! The property is clean, safe, and quiet. Its fantastic for dogs, with 2 dog parks, and an actual city park next to the complex. There are so many other qualities, but I will leave that for you to come see for yourselves! If you come in ask for Kristina, she is amazing to work with and exceptionally thorough, made moving in a breeze! Highly recommend this Apartment complex :)
Everyone I have dealt with have been extremely helpful while finding a place to live. Front office is nice and clean!
Very old apartments. Not upgraded ones compared to all other nearby apartments though the rents they charge are same as the newly constructed ones.
Dobson 2222 was an amazing complex to live in. The staff is extremely helpful, quick, and nice. Maintenance was always very fast and the grounds were always kept looking good. It also feels very private due to the mature foliage and is overall a pretty quite and relaxing complex. 10/10 would recommend!
Very old apartments. Charging high rents for non renovated. Facing sleep difficulties.
My husband Rory and I both moved here from Indianapolis. We came to Chandler to search for places to live and most importantly feel safe and comfortable. We came to Dobson and what attracted us besides the architecture of the complex was Tina charm. To this day, it’s been close to a year, we still feel valued by management. The management has been awesome, we don’t ask for much anyway. When we do have questions or even walking by Tina, she always has a smile on her face and goes over and beyond for every resident. Management builds a relationship with their residents and that’s what I love. The complex is always clean, very safe and quiet. That is why we are renewing our lease. I would recommend anyone who is looking for those qualities in an apartment to move to 2222 Dobson.
I submitted a maintenance request. The request could not be completed because of an emergency. So far my move in went great! The office staff is friendly, professional and helpful.
New sign up system is a breeze. Snowbird. 4th year at this complex
Nice clean quiet and office ladies are nice, but could use some improvements and maintenance is ok
This place is AMAZING!!! Love my home, the complex is very quiet, kept very clean, very satisfied with our rent amount and the location is excellent!!! But my favorite of all by far is the office and maintenance staff!!! You will not find a more accommodating, courteous and polite group of people!!! They have all gone above and beyond for us with a smile on their face every time!! You wont be disappointed I promise!!
I was extremely happy with the promptness of the service, as I requested this service the night before. To my surprise I came home and found a note indicating the problem had been resolved and they even went above and beyond by noticing my bathroom sink was slow due to being clogged and they corrected that, including the master bathroom as well. They made my day!
We love it here! My hubby, daughter and I are going on 2 years living here and I can honestly say its been a pleasure. The office and maintenance crew are always on it. We are in a safe, quiet environment with two gorgeous pools, nice gym, a quant dog park, and we are gated. We are also connected to this large field and big park right behind us! I do also enjoy the way we receive packages, which is through a parcel room. Makes it convenient instead of having to go through the office for every package, especially with the holidays approaching. If you ever need anything, Tina gets it done! We love Dobson 2222!!
Carlos was pleasant, polite and knowledgeable.
I have been a resident of Chuparosas for close to a year and absolutely love it here. It’s quiet, my neighbors are very pleasant and the amenities are well kept. The complex is under new management. They have upgraded the leasing office, the lounge area and other areas of the complex. Paying the rent is very simple and cost effective if it comes directly from you account and the pool areas are always nice. I love living here since it’s 5 minutes from work and close to everything. I have no problem calling this place home for a while.
Nice stay good amenities well maintained
I have lived there for almost a year now and the staff has always been amazing. They solve problems quickly and customize solutions to your situation. The grounds are always clean and the pool and grills are always in great working condition. You can trust that Kristina, Tina, and Bowen will always have your best interest in mind.
Absolutely love this apartment complex. We have lived in many apartments in Indiana and Arizona, and this is the best place by far. We were looking for somewhere with a Resort Style feel and we got it here. There are two very nice pools and a great work out room that we utilize every single day. Its a safe, gated community. I never even hear my neighbors. And the maintenance responds fast! Truly great place overall.
I’ve lived here 2 years now and will be renewing my lease. I must say We Love this beautiful community it is clean The amazing team Is on top of there property landscaping is gorgeous and kept up love the clean pools hot tubs bbq grills parcel room and dog parks awesome and the options of places to walk to that are convenient cvs cleaners dinning nail salon and storage units when family come to visit you got the beautiful Marriott and Hilton 5 minutes from us I can’t thank them enough for meeting our wants and needs and no to mention being able to work out In the upscale gym anytime Of the day besides that the park is steps away freeways minutes from us thank you Dobson 2222 for listening to our requests and transfers and making our home safe and affordable can’t thank Tina Kristina Elizabeth and the rest of your crew enough.
I normally dont do reviews, but in this case it is well deserved. This complex has been the most pleasant experience Ive had as a renter. I usually have to deal with run around from the front staff, but not here. Kristina has personally helped me through all of my problems since day 1 of move in. Even after all my concerns, questions, maintenance needs, etc. have been handled by Kristina in a quick and professional manner. I even had a very unique personal issue come up that she helped me handle. I have never had a office staff member make me feel more welcome and taken care of. I am pleased to be a tenant and am highly considering staying another year because of the staff alone!
I recently just moved here from Texas three months back. My experience at Dobson 2222 has been absolutely amazing. My apartment is quiet and peaceful. But, in all honesty that is not what sold me on this place.. The management team... Starting with Bowen, Tina, and Kristina are freaking amazing! They have been so helpful since my arrival. I relocated here due to my job.(I work in government) As soon as I arrived, the shut down took place. I was heavily affected by that... They were all so kind and very accomadating during that process. I couldnt have chosen a more beautiful community to live.
My husband, our little boy and I lived in these apartments for one year. We said from the beginning that we wanted to live somewhere that felt like a resort. This place was exactly that! Beautiful pools, gorgeous landscape, and walking distance to a big park. Kids play there and it’s also a great place to exercise and go for a jog. More importantly than all that, it was a very nice apartment with friendly neighbors. A quiet family community that we are sad to leave due to relocating! If you are contemplating moving here, do it! You won’t regret it! The staff, especially Tina, are top notch and you will love them!
Overall, 2222 Dobson is a nice complex. Work orders are answered in a timely manner. Units are average in quality, but it doesnt really bother me. Gym could use some more resistance equipment and fewer cardio machines. A rack with a barbell set would be nice.
Best customer service in town. Sherri and Tina worked together to help me locate a package even though I no longer live here. They have amazing attitudes and are extremely helpful. They really made a difference in my life by going the extra mile to help me retrieve something I thought was lost forever. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
The patience and kindness I received from Dobson 2222 are very much appreciated. I’m one of those ‘ask every questions in the book’ kind of persons. And, the staff was very knowledgeable and thorough when answering. I’m very impressed with this property and all they have to offer.
I moved here back in June and I have loved it here! Tina helped me with so much... I was probably one of the more needy residents that wanted to come look at the place everyday and she was beyond patient with me. Every time I go to the office for a package or to pay rent Im always greeted with a smile and they all know my name. Just a great place and supper fun staff!
We truly enjoyed living at Dobson 2222 while our home was being built. All of the staff was fantastic, but the one person who stood out was Ramon Flores. Ramon is one of your maintenance staff, and he is someone who ALWAYS was helpful, ALWAYS had a smile for everyone and is a wonderful ambassador for your complex.
A great place to live! Dave the supervisor of maintenance is Awesome! So many residents love him!! No matter how many work orders he has, he always make you feel like your maintenance issue is “Priority One”! Bo,Tina and Charmaine are attention to detailed coupled with a friendly genuine smile. This property has seen many different management companies in the six years I have been here. I have to say while I liked all of them I feel Chuparosas is in great hands with APS. Come check us out! You want to live here, too!!! Jeanie
We are currently living here, we love the area love the complex and front office staff is always friendly.Im writing this review because Im very disappointed that we live in a Luxury Apartment but within the last 6 months we have been without a washer twice for at least a week! Ive reported that our washer was smelling like mildew, with the odor spreading through out the apartment. Our washer started leaking and was told the part would take 2 days, I followed up 3 days later with front office and because its the weekend nobody will come until Monday. Its frustrating that we pay to have these amenities and have to go find a laundromat.
So many things to like about Dobson 2222. The management staff is wonderful, aka Bowen and Tina. They have worked with me to resolve some pretty usual and unusual issues in a timely professional manner. They actually have gone above and beyond. The build/apartments are beautifully maintained and the maintenance staff couldn’t be better at their jobs, quick to respond (always the day I call) pofessional and friendly. In general it is a quiet friendly place to live.Needless to say I enjoy living here.
We moved from a two bedroom to a three bedroom apartment. Tina was AMAZING! Super helpful.
Great place for dog owners. Complex supplies all poop bags and many bag stations throughout complex. Maintenance is quick to respond to work orders. Office held a toy drive and a holiday party which I thought was great. Office personal are very helpful. Only complaint was that people that cleaned apt prior to moving in did a HORRIBLE job!
Everything was good including the maintenance guys. Corin was so customer friendly to everyone . Tina was the only exception. She was responsible for inspection of the apartment. The washing machine was filled with dirt and landscape bark plus the microwave didnt work when I moved in. After giving 60 day notice, I had to wait and wait for the final walk through even though the apartment was vacant the entire. Actually, I am still waiting.
This place is in a great and in safe location. Neighbors are friendly. LOVE David from the maintenance staff. He was just at my apartment today and was very kind and helpful. Love it here and I will be here for a while.
Friendly staff, great location, awesome amenities would 100% recommend to live here
Awesome looking community
Apartments are very old, maintained is average. Office staff has improved over the last 2 years. Lived there for 5 years, neighbors are a bunch of idiots. I used to Smoke up meat for those living around me, one complained and that was the end of that! The loft units are the way to go, private and good size. Good layout
All of our experiences with Maintenance were handled promptly and correctly. You have a great maintenance team! Keep it up!
Dobson 2222 is by far the best apartment complex I’ve ever lived in. I had an AMAZING experience there and would recommend these luxury apartments to anyone single, families, or roommates. The floor plans are spacious and if for some reason you need a work order placed, the maintenance men are quick to respond . The office staff goes above and beyond to meet and exceed the needs of the residence. They are truely the most caring and professional group of individuals to live and work with. The customer service is wonderful and like nothing I’ve ever witnessed with property management staff. The Pools are kept sparkling clean even when there are storms or during monsoon season. I was truly surprised at how clean and well kept the landscaping was.Dobson 2222 deserves a 5 star rating all alround. If you’re looking for an apartment in the Chandler Area, this is the complex you want to call home .
I lived in this complex for nearly 8 years before buying a home. Outside of normal apartment life issues (loud upstairs neighbor for the last 2 years) I had no issues in my time there. The maintenance team was very responsive and I always found the apartment grounds to be neat and clean. The complex has gone through quite a few management changes over the last two years, but I never really noticed any issues because of it. I enjoyed my time at Chuparosas/Dobson 2222.
Do not move here! All they want is your money. They do not care about their renters at all. Wish I read the reviews before we moved in. The apartment is great but not the people who run it.
Management staff are very friendly and willing to help whenever asked. Location is good Chuparosas park(kids play) and bus stop(commute) is very near. Nice and peaceful place to live.
THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU A DEPOSIT BACK AT TIME OF MOVE OUTTerrible managmentnot family friendly at all, pretty sure they hate kids. They ONLY reason I would give this place a star is the super nice custodial guys (Ramon and Dave are awesome!)THE LEASING STAFF IS TERRIBLE.STAY AWAY
Great location. Nice apartment layouts. Great amenities, and the best staff. A solid choice for S. Chandler living.
The maintenance people are so nice and skilled. They go the extra mile to make sure youre happy, and they take great care of their property.
Have lived here 3 years while getting back into a house and have loved it! Very quiet, well maintained and good neighbors. They have 2 pools and hot tubs, 2 dog parks, garages, club room and parcel room. Located next to Chuporosas Park, you have a great place to play with the kids or walk your dog!! Parking is never a problem. You are also in walking distance of CVS, Oreganos, BLD, Nandos, Aveeno Verde Salon, a yogurt place and if you want Greek food, we have that too! Close proximity to both the 101 and 202....less than 5 minutes.
So I would just like to say having Corrine, and Sasha in the office now along with her staff has been a real eye opener. First is our landscaping is really looking like the old days when it was cut and shaped and looked so nice. 2nd is Corrine, as a manager, really wants to hear from the residents and really treats this place like a community. Sasha no matter what she has going on, takes time to ask how youre doing and makes sure things get done. I cant say enough, and we now have Food trucks come by, and you talk about nice, coming home from work and grabbing some food already cooked for you and your family. Thanks again, such an amazing staff here!
Ill be honest. I really used to like living here. The new management seems to in force rules that have never been an issue before. My patio faces the back of the complex. I received a citation for toys on my patio. I keep my childrens wagon out there and have done so for 6 months all of a sudden this is an issue. People used to be nice here. Now it just seems like everyone is moving out. Dont be fooled its a nice property but its running into the ground. No one is nice anymore.
I came in with a specific budget in mind, and met with Bowen! He was outgoing, understanding and did a fantastic job showing off what these apartments have to offer! He was able to work with us on our budget and get us into our home! The apartment is exactly what we were hoping for and the complex is top notch with so many great amenities! What we thought would be a tedious experience turned into an entertaining and successful one. I would definetly recommend Chuparosa Apartments! Thanks again Bowen!
We lived at Dobson 2222 for 6yrs. The beginning was pretty horrible. Didnt know what to expect with changing companys being bought out all the time. When we met the new staff and really got to know them, they seemed to understand everything our community had been through. They are AWESOME!!!! Thank you for doing all the up dos to make the community a better place to live. I will miss you all very much.Jeanie Deringer
The front office staff for the past 2 years has been wonderful, even through all of the changes. I miss Corinne terribly since she left for a new opportunity. Tina and Bo have been wonderful as well. As long as you are understanding and rational, you should not have any issues with the front office management. There are a lot of good things about this complex, and they are still working to get the dust to settle. Great layouts, fair pricing and a good staff. They have all the tools to succeed, they just have some work to do yet.If I could rate the complex on the staff alone, I would absolutely have a 5 star rating. Unfortunately, there are other factors to consider. I have shared the majority of these grievances with the management, so there should be no surprises. However, there are a few things that have occurred since preparing to move out that are new and will be detailed in the following notes.-The past 8-9 months have been rough due to many changes being incorporated by the new AMC management. Changes are to be expected, but I felt the corporation did not give the management staff enough time or resources to introduce these changes effectively. The changes to patio requirements was one of the hardest to adjust to. My husband and I fumed for days when we learned that our bicycles (neatly set on a nice bike rack and covered by a black bike cover, below our patio walls) were no longer allowed. I understand that this was not the staffs choice and they had to face the consequences of many upset tenants. Where are bikes supposed to be stored? The patio storage is not nearly large enough for two adult bikes, and where exactly in the apartment are these supposed to go? I digress...Bo and Tina did what they could to calm people, I do not envy them. I understand the need to keep patios presentable for new tenants, however the stipulations were unreasonable.-As many have listed in their reviews, the fees and charges for the complex have been surprising and frustrating as well. I did notice some changes (new taxes & fees) that I did not feel were properly communicated to the tenants and this made our monthly rent process quite cumbersome. The Parcel Pending addition was a change that I dont think anyone was happy about, but I cannot speak for everyone. I understand that the parcel pending is slated as an amenity, however I think that is a falsehood. Yes, our packages are now more secure and the front office is less cluttered, but I have had to track down more packages than ever because many companies will not use the system and choose to leave our packages elsewhere or just not deliver them. The charge of $7 a month is also quite annoying. We pay for shipping already, now we have to pay to receive our packages? I know this service is optional, but it is not made easy to opt out.-My last grievances have developed recently as I was away for a few weeks. When I returned to my apartment, I noticed the complex was in a state of disarray. Trash and dog poop everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Especially in the areas around my building, which happened to be near the pool and the fitness center. It smelled awful and was gross to look at.The noise and state of the tenants has also degraded. I cannot count the amount of vehicles that drive by at all times of the day and night with bass so loud it rattles the windows. New tenants are rude, loud and unkempt.I really am thankful for my time at this complex. It was enlightening and I am glad to have gotten to know the staff. I wish them the best of luck!
Quiet for the most part. Safe community. Small issue with beetles in the apartment but they will send pest control on request. I would like to warn that your actual rent will be at least $110 -$130 more than base rent with the TWO taxes they charge and other misc reoccurring fees that fluctuate, for a one bedroom; probably more if you have more rooms or a higher base rent. I can also smell everything from my neighbors, from smoke to smells of strong distinct curry. I sometimes hear my neighbor in the morning hock lugees, which is a terrible sound. The apartments are spacious. It’s a gated community which adds to the safety. They charge for package delivery. Fitness center is ok. Assigned parking. Overall decent. Felt that they were deceptive with fees and I wont be renewing lease just based on principle, honesty goes a long way. Before you APPLY be sure to ask about all of these fees that will be in addition to base rent:- Renters Insurance- property tax-sales tax-water-sewer-trash (not valet, they don’t have valet)-city of chandler meter charge-C.A.M Fee-service feeThese are all their own separate fee. They were not all disclosed to me prior to applying. Be sure to take this into consideration when visiting apartments. You may see a higher base rate elsewhere but the additional charges are probably lower than an additional $130 so it may actually be a better deal elsewhere ! :)
Maintenance was done timely. No stress.
Like most of the people on here that I have seen write a review I cant believe at how unprofessional the administration office is. Tina is one of the most unprofessional people I have come in contact with in business in almost 30 years. She does not listen to any of the customers needs. I was looking to live there but after what I have experienced I will no longer be looking at this complex. I believe if you have a choice to live anywhere else I would take that over this. People want to be respected and treated fairly and this place does neither of those things. Please shop around for your next apartment and I am sure you will find a much heathier enviorment to live in than this. Make sure you do your research before spending any money at this complex. You will be very sorry in the end if you actually move in. At that time it will be too late. I also see all over these reiews that people one after another feel the same way about this management staff and Tina. I am glad because sometimes you feel like you are the only one. The reviews on her are all terrible. I am just sorry that anyone has to endure this kind of abuse. For all those people that went through what I went through I understand exactly where you were coming from.
Very nice staff. Beautiful!
Move in was a breeze and Tina handled everything and made me feel welcomed. The complex has two awesome pools and I couldn’t be happier with my apartment!
Easy to move in. Nice apartments, very clean. Management is very responsive.
Horrible management. Horrible customer service. Never answer the phone when you call, no follow through, failed to complete work order requests. Gates are constantly broken. On two occasions I could not even get to my apartment due to the broken gates. Management has changed so many times they are super unorganized. There are 3 or 4 employees working in the office but none of them know what they are doing, even the property manager cant do basic tasks, they all lean on the assistant manager, Tina, she is very personable and you can tell she cares but she is only one person and residents can only take some much until frustration occurs.
While the place is undergoing some updates after the last owners its becoming a slightly better place. 2 pools and nice building design
Enjoying being back with you after two years out of state.
Nice place to live. Management is easy to work with and they are doing a lot of nice upgrades to the property.
Visited my friend. Awesome property
I was looking for apartments and came across this decently priced complex... my first visit I walked in and was greeted by the nice young lady with curly hair that kindly informed me that the office was closing but helped me schedule an appointment to take a tour for the following day. She told me that if she wasnt there the other lady would help me and give me a tour (rude, big lady with crazy hair and wacky eyeliner that kinda resembles Abby the teacher from dance moms lol) . I thanked both of them and left. The next day I show up for my appointment and was rudely turned away by the big lady who told me she didnt do tours and completely acted like shes never seen me or knew about my appointment and told me to come on a Saturday. I showed up on Saturday and the crazy hair lady did not even say a word to me, gave me a dirty look and helped the Caucasian couple that came in after me...so I just walked out. I was never rude though she treated me unfairly and I had all the money needed for all fees and first months rent on hand...too bad guess my money wasnt green enough. 🤷🏽♀️
Dont let the nice grounds and community fool you, its just smoke and mirrors. The manager Bowen is extremely rude and unprofessional. I have had multiple run ins with him and he really has no clue about customer service or how to deal with issues. He appears nice at first but once you sign a lease, it all changes and they start treating you like youre a bother. I have witnessed him yell at residents (and not have the wherewithal to close his office door), which is just so unprofessional. My most recent issue involved the cancellation of my Parcel Pending account. Despite what the office staff tells you, this service is optional...so being that about half the packages I receive are delivered to my door, I decided to save the $7 monthly charge and just have packages delivered to my door or held at the post office. Anyway, I emailed Bowen regarding this and he said that he would get it taken care of. When I received a parcel pending notification the next day, I emailed him once again and received a nasty condescending reply from him that stated off with As I stated... It came across like I was bothering him and he needed to scold me. When I gave him feedback regarding this, well...now he will not say hello to me anymore or acknowledge my presence. Its so unprofessional.Instead of Bowen being the professional and attempting to remedy the situation, which is what hes paid to do, hes just going to ignore/avoid me. I am a long time resident of this community, pay my rent on time, and cause no trouble and thats the treatment I get. Its funny, because he asks for feedback and when you provide it, he cant handle it.I also had an issue regarding a survey I filled out that the community sent to all its residents. I rated the community low because there were a lot of issues that werent addressed or taken care of. In response to what I thought was an anonymous survey, I received a nasty email from Bowen that came across as very belittling and condescending. If you dont want feedback, then dont ask! Bowen thinks hes the manager of the residents and treats us like hes our superior. He needs to realize that hes the manager of the community, not the residents. He is honestly the worst apartment manager I have ever had and Ive done a lot of apartment living. I hope one day AMC will transfer him to a different community because he is the one thing wrong with Dobson 2222 and he really makes living here a stressful endeavor.Honestly, there are better apartments out there. Trevi down the street has similar floor plans, which are nicer and cheaper when they apply their leasing specials. The Broadstone by Chandler Fashion are beautiful brand new apartments that are upgraded that are also cheaper than Dobson 2222 with their leasing specials. If youre thinking about moving here, check out other apartments in the area....its worth it to pay an extra $50/month to avoid the horrible manager, Bowen.
Please use our correct email address in the future!
Tina, Boe, and Kerian make living here so easy, so much that we will be moving my parents here in February and as well be upgrading to a bigger unit with friends.
Warning: If you do not like random charges and fees being placed on your account without explanation - Do Not Move HereWarning: If you have BLACK or BROWN skin - do not move here!Warning: If you want to be treated fairly and with respect - Do Not Move HereI have been harassed by management I have had a erroneous bill put on my credit report .I complained to their management and was told:“region/HQ management would never consider my complaints because AMC sticks together, I was threatened for attempting to contact HQ and / or ownership with my complaints with eviction, and my character attacked. The lack of respect, professionalism, threats, and disregard to law is not a place where You or anyone need to be.I left this outdated place in 2017 and am still fighting their unlawful housing tactics
My A/C wasnt working and the maintenance staff arrived quickly and had it fixed within a short timeframe! Great job!
Cant say enough good things about this apartment complex! I have loved living here and have never had any problems with staff or maintenance.
I used to really love living here, been here for over 3 years but AMC has swooped in, and just like their 36 other properties in Arizona, theyve totally ruined it and made me want to leave. Prior to AMCs arrival, Chuparosas had 4 stars on Yelp and now its down to 2!We recently received an email survey asking us how theyre doing. I replied to it thinking it was anonymous and I received a very rude, belittling, and unprofessional email back from Bowen, the manager. He accused me of being quick to tear down Chuparosas at a moments notice and when I mentioned that I didnt like the new paint color his response was, We cant go around door to door with paint samples and ask for everyones input... like, no duh! So belittling and insulting to my intelligence. I also mentioned that my key fob wasnt working to open the package room door and his response was, I cant fix it if I dont know... while thats true, Im letting you know and instead of fixing it, you decided to place the blame on me. How about this...you should make sure everyones key fob works when they sign up for it. That would be way too good management thoughThis place also nickel and dimes you to death. You can not get your own packages delivered here anymore unless you sign up for the package room, which comes with an unprecedented cost of $20 to start it up plus $7 per month plus tax. Basically pay up or you cant get your packages. Ridiculous! Plus, its in the lease agreement that management will accept packages and assumes no liability, so....yeah, looks like theyve violated their own lease agreement. Also, the owner rolls their property tax down to you, which is $13.00 per month plus tax. Isnt that nice?I find AMC to be extremely dishonest. First, if you go to the Chuparosas website and click on reviews youll see that they only have posted the positive 4 and 5 star reviews from Yelp and Google making it look like everyone loves it. Currently they average 2.5 on Yelp and 3.3 on Google. I also noticed several Google reviews written by people who dont even live here and never have! Additionally, the office staff will lie right to your face and their reasons/stories are forever changing. I love Corinne...shes super nice but she fed me a line of complete BS regarding the package facility stating the post office, UPS, Ontrac, Amazon, FedEx were going to stop delivering across the board unless you have amazon key. Does that make any sense whatsoever? She said theyre not going to even deliver to houses anymore. Lol. She blamed everything on the delivery companies because supposedly they said they werent going to deliver anymore and the package room was their only option. This is a bold faced lie! I talked to all the delivery companies and they said that its not them, its the complex refusing the accept packages (yet another lease violation). An OnTrac delivery driver even told me that the complex threatened to have him removed from the property if he entered. Its clear they dont care about the residents as there are way better ways to go about handling things than forcing us to comply. Looking at all the properties AMC manages...a vast majority have bad reviews, all of which pretty much say the same thing, I used to love loving here but AMC took over and management doesnt care about the residents.. and they dont. They just care about their bottom line and its so evident. Management at Chuparosas is very difficult to contact, you cant leave a message for them, theres no email address published on the website, and the webform to email them is limited to 250 characters and the manager never responds. I have sent several emails regarding broken gates, glass at the pool, non-residents using our amenities and received no response.Avoid the place.
Meb management recently took over the property from Allison Shelton in November and it has been nothing short of atrocious.Lets start with lease renewal.... Because of it being a new management company, they are not honoring the rate increase cap that was in your previous rental agreement. We just got our renewal letter in the mail and our base rent is increasing $85 a month is we chose to renew for 12 months (the cap in our lease that they are not honoring was a max increase of $20 a month)The new staff... The staff, both maintenance and front office can be seen riding around the property smoking in the golf carts. This becomes an issue when they then immediately come into your apartment to do maintenance and carry the cigarette snell in with them. Youll notice the front office now drowns you with the smell of cigarettes when you walk in.Work orders... The roof leaked back in early December causing water to gather in our ceiling, creating that bubbling effect, and leaking onto our carpet. They have fixed the roof, but have yet to come in and replace the section of drywall on the ceiling that was soaked (I am hoping it hasnt developed mold!)Overall, we have lived here 2 years and loved it sad to see Allison Shelton management go, we will absolutely be leaving this property and we recommend that you avoid it at all costs.
Quick and easy process for move in, office is very helpful and communicative
Please Read update**Ok, lets get the change of management problem out of the way. What people fail to understand is; if another company is taking over, its like having a lazy co-worker that never finished any of their work and didnt keep accurate records. Imagine taking over all of their work only to find out you have to basically start over. Its a transitional period, it will pass. I just moved in in June, and despite the calamity my apartment was cleaned and ready for my move in date of June 10th. I witnessed others that were less fortunate, however a good deal of my experience was achieved by following up with staff on a normal basis. There are hundreds of occupants, you cant expect individual attention during a time like this. No one really knows how truly hard another person job is until youre in their shoes, so give them a break. Plus, how can you ever be mad when you walk into a room full of bright beautiful smiles every time? All of the staff especially Tina, have been a tremendous help and have really made an effort to remember my name and even apartment number when I walk in. I believe the new management and employees are going to lead the complex into the direction it needs to be headed. With that out of the way.The grounds seems to be very well kept, and both pools are maintained more than any previous locations Ive lived. Recent grounds crew and landscapers are even making a forward effort to remove some of the problematic trees that seems to peril during our monsoon season.[Deleted text since I ran out of room]End rant-Update- It has a been a log and bumpy road since my first post of this review. Since my review things have steadily declined. Every time I receive a paper from management attached to my door, Im afraid of what I might read. It seems that recently the complex has been making some upgrades but at the costs of its residents. Ive compared nearby rent breakdowns of my friends other complexs in the immediate area and it seems were now being charged a estate property tax allocation which was never discussed. Furthermore, I was never provided a new lease proposal or notification 30 days prior to my leases end. Then, one day before it was up I get a phone call and the very fist email about the complex charging me market rate plus an additional $100.00 for a reason i cant figure out on top? This seems to have been a deliberate attempt to default me into paying market rate or accepting the $43.00 a month increase for the new lease that was proposed. In case your reading this and dont know, management is required to give 30 days notice for all rent increases or changes to a lease contract. When I asked for a copy of my paper notice that was said to be taped to my door, they were not able to find it. One, because they didnt and two, because Im sure this was on purpose. I cant fault them entirely being that I should have kept a closer eye on my lease end. I just had some medical emergencies come up and was not even thinking about my apartment trying to nickle and dime me into paying extra. Ive never had this many issues with any other complex, (5 others) in the whole time Ive lived here in Arizona. If it wasnt for the medical circumstance and the late notice I wouldnt have renewed. But now Im stuck here for another year. Great... Also, it seems the complex no longer requires a credit check because there are more and more new residents popping up that seem like they belong in government housing. Ive noticed an increase in trash, noise and poorly kept vehicles not to mention the riff raff that is driving around picking up or dropping off people. I just dont understand. This place used to be great. Now I go to my Friends apartment (Elevation) to escape our front pools condition. Im just over it. 5 Star review downgraded to 2- Justin
I had a horrible experience living here!! There are no words that will measure up to how elated I am now that I am no longer residing at this property ! The downfall of my experience was dealing with the assistant manager “ Tina Holston “. She’s extremely unprofessional, harshly argues with tenants, calls you out of your name, she’s malicious & shady by nature. Don’t let her smile fool you, she has a nasty attitude, she’s very aggressive & manipulative. I had to go to corporate to deal with things in a more professional manner, just to get a simple task done. The property is beautiful, however my experience is based off of how I’m treated & I was treated very poorly ! Please be a head strong person & do not put up with anything you feel is unjust, unfair, wrong etc. she will try and pull a power trip over you, say one thing to your face & another through email to try and save herself. You can’t train everyone on how to be kind, professional & business minded. It has to be something instilled in you, she is uncouth & unfit for this job! Please reconsider if you haven’t decided to move here already.
NOT family friendly.Dont rent hereTERRIBLE MANAGMENT
Do not like this place at all they will charge you late fees if u bring you rent in late even of u cant get off work in time not everyone gets off work before 5pm at least I dont even if your stuck somewhere and can not get there they will still charge you late fees
By far the worse place I have ever stayed at. Weeks to take maintenance request resolved and have people living here with clearly not having background checks. The manager of the property is the local pool drunk and is unapproachable during non working hours.
I absolutely love Chuparosa...I have been here two years and everyone is friendly from front office, maintenance to the gardeners...whenever anything is wrong it is fixed the same day...not to mention its beautiful! !!!
Love the 2222
