READ BEFORE SIGNING - Everyone’s experience at an apartment complex is different…here’s mine with this complex. Note - I’ve lived here 3 years.Bug/roach issues since I moved in. It’s gotten some better but still an issue. Pest control comes every other week and it’s still an issue. And the roaches are alive when I see them. Speaking of pest control, ask the complex staff to accompany them to your apartment if you won’t be home. My apartment was left unlocked 2x in the last month after they had been in my home. The staff doesn’t answer emails and rarely answers the phone. They rarely call back too. Anytime I need anything, I have to physically go in the office.Other residents mess with my valet can & boxes that get delivered. They were tossing trash in my can and once found my can down the hall. Same goes with boxes getting delivered. I’ve found my boxes moved down the hall too. Just because I live by the gym, doesn’t mean people who walk by should pick up my stuff and carry them down the hall. The pool doesn’t get cleaned. It may be better now but I went out a few times earlier this summer and it was so dirty. Last summer was the same. The management company is more worried about renovating the apartment so they can charge more than they are about correcting current residents’ issues.A positive is maintenance is very quick to take care of any work orders which is much appreciated.Like I said, this is my experience and I would hate for someone else to have the same.

DONT APPLY. The same thing that happened to the reviewer below happened to me. Applied and was approved for an apartment over two weeks ago. We are moving from out of state. Minimal communication from leasing staff. The office rarely answers the phone. Ive lost about $300 through the application process and called yesterday requesting a refund. I spoke with an employee who was very rude and unprofessional. Im now in the middle of disputing the admin fee with the credit card company. I was given an email to the supervisor regarding obtaining my admin fee refund and she never responded. I should have paid more attention to the reviews posted previously.

DO NOT APPLY! I have had such a hard time with this complex. It may look nice on the internet but read the reviews! They never get back to you when you call or email..( i had applied and was approved ) never sent me a checklist or what i owe. very unorganized and have yet to contact me about fees i was charged for administration when there was ZERO administrative work done. They even told me on the phone it was “crazy there because of new management “& would leave “notes” for a call back. Imagine being a tenant and something goes wrong..you will not here back😳 i was excited at first but glad i never signed!! I warned you!

I lived at Weston Lakeside in 2018 for 6 weeks and my boyfriend and I split up, so I contacted the Assistant Manager at the time, Kate Turley via email and asked her how I go about getting off of the lease as my daughter and I we’re moving out. She informed me there was a roommate release form that everyone on the current lease needed to sign and bring to her. This was completed and I brought it to her office which she signed as well. Everything was done on my end and I was off of the lease and not financially responsible. My ex boyfriend, later left the apartment without notice and violated his lease terms resulting in an eviction. I went to apply for an apartment only to find out that THIS PROPERTY ALSO PLACED AN EVICTION ON ME AS WELL. Even though, I signed the roommate release form and was removed from the lease. However, I never got a copy of the signed roommate release form. Which I greatly regret. BUT, what I do have is multiple emails between then assistant property manager Kate Turley, myself and my ex, not only confirming this form was completed but also confirming that I was removed from the lease. I have contacted the property multiple times and management says they will look into it and get back to me and never do. I just continue to l messages and never receive a call back. They are completely unprofessional and what they did is illegal. I am now dealing with the collection agency to have this removed from my credit report, as it is almost impossible for me to get approved for an apartment. If this isn’t removed from my credit report, my next step will be to hire an attorney.UPDATE*I sent all of my email proof and documents to all of the credit bureaus disputing the eviction and they released the negative collection from my credit report. No help by the management company whatsoever. Stay away!

I have been living here a little over one year, first year was great. Since the new management, things have changed, I understand, but not often of email and flyer were sending from the management when there were changes. Saturday morning landscaping work at 8 am is a joke. Why cant they do landscaping on the Weekdays. My only day off is Saturday. I would hope to be peaceful.Oh well, the location is great. Location is great. Its nice to be close to the airport, in the heart of the Triangle, and so close to the bike/walking trail on the north side of the complex. Thats really the only notably good thing. Everything else is kind of average. Recently, there have been some car break-ins, despite this being known as a relatively safe area. There is a no smoking policy, but people are always smoking cigarettes and/or marijuana (you can smell it) in and around the buildings. People also walk their dogs and leave dog poop in many places. So you frequently see dog poop in the pine straw walking out of the building. Avoid walking in the grass because you might step in some. Typical apartment problems, right? At least it doesnt smell bad. What does smell bad are all of the trash collection bins that people leave outside of their doors in the hallways of each apartment building floor after 6pm Sunday to Thursday when trash collection is happening. Walking out of your apartment, the hallway usually smells quite foul, like garbage usually does.Carpeted floors in 85% of the space make the apartment feel very dated and dirty. I think the neighboring apartment complex (Lofts at Weston Lakeside) offer laminate wood flooring, and the rent there is only slightly higher.UPS and FedEx deliver to your door, but USPS delivers packages to the front office. Going to the office to get a package is inconvenient, and you never know whether or not youre going to receive an email notification that your package is ready to be picked up. Its hit or miss. Actually, since new management took over, I think the package notifications have stopped entirely, so you just have to check USPS tracking and hope for the best.Maintenance requests are usually handled in a reasonable amount of time, but there are times when they will fix something and then have to come back two or three times to fix it again. Again, typical apartment woes. There also seem to barely be enough parking spots in front of the 3000 building. After 6 or 7pm, its usually completely full.

I lived here for two years, and the first year and half was great. Then new management took over. The dog park is now a total disgrace, and there are two REALLY loud cars that are constantly racing their engines. My upstairs neighbors make so much noise it is like living under a bowling alley. Forget getting any help from the office. They dont answer the phone, and dont return calls when you leave a message. Packages get stolen from the hall - nobody cares. Loud neighbors - nobody cares. So at the end of the lease we are out of here. We have complained more times than I can remember with no response from the office. Management here only wants your money. Do yourself a favor and live somewhere else.

Buyer Beware! New Management is very different from previous management companies. They are not fully staffed, dont answer the phone, make it difficult to email them or contact them, dont clean the internal hallways and do not clean the pool or even unlock the gates for the pool for the hours the pool is supposed to be open. What you see is not necessarily what you are getting. The location is excellent and the facility used to be really nice, almost resort like - but it is quickly being run into the ground by the new management company. Any reviews prior to March 2020 are not relevant for this property.

Weston Lakeside is a wonderful place to reside at due to the professionalism of each staff member and the amenities. Here at the complex it is very relaxing and neighbors arent loud. If you can any concerns about being stationed on a higher floor (3rd or 4th floor), thats not an issue because elevators can save you a flight of stairs. You have a movie theater, spacious gym, game room, outside pool, playground for kids, and a lovely spot outside towards the back thats great for taking pictures while sitting at the tables. Also, you are located right by the trail and the complex offers bike rentals for free. It doesnt get any better than that. I feel at home and secure at Weston Lakeside. Maintenance comes to repair things the same day I put in a request if I am having issues. And honestly, I havent had any major issues. Appliances are updated and ready for use. I can promise all future residents that you will not regret living here. They offer fun and relaxing activities for youth and adults. :)

I enjoy living here. Having access to the trails and lake makes this place very dog friendly. The apartments are slightly smaller with limited storage/closet space but thankfully, I rented a bigger apartment so not that much of an issue for me. It definitely needs an update and appliances are dated for sure - but the staff is easy to deal with and they fix any issue withing 24 hours! It is true that some people dont clean up after their dogs and this is a shame. My only real concern would be: the car break ins that have been going on. Luckily, I never keep anything in my car so I wasnt truly robbed but its unsettling to think that there is a safety issue and I dont want people going through or getting in my car. There is definite need of some additional safety measure and management should get on top of this.

This place is awesome. From the very first tour, I was impressed. Despite construction going on on the exterior of the complex, Sean in the leasing office did an incredible job at selling me this apartment. Everything was out in the open, no read between the lines like most complexes I have ever lived in before. The grounds are always kept up, grass mowed and plants maintained. Although the construction is an eye sore, I LOVE going home to my HUGE one bedroom apartment. It is super pet friendly, my dog loves the dog park and the easy access to trails behind the complex. In my unit I requested a ceiling fan, 2 business days later it was installed while I was at work and the maintenance man even placed post-its on the light switch letting me know what did what. Sean has been accessible when I need him, but if he cant get back to me, Marquita is just as prompt. SUPER friendly staff. They also have 2 security officers walking around the grounds making me feel safe. The CARES team is always planning something community-wide, allowing new comers to the area like myself an opportunity to meet other people. I love telling people about my complex and love showing it off to my friends and family. I am so impressed and definitely would recommend to a friend.

Miserable place to live. Fire alarms go off constantly for no reason. Floors leak. Incredibly noisy. The shoddy workmanship when built meant this place is having to redo all their siding, which for some reason has taken them a year. We knew this detail going in, but its gotten unbearable. That plus 3 fire alarms in a month! In addition to being incredibly slow, the construction workers are very sloppy. I have picked up dozens of nails left by them in the parking lot. Im so glad that they didnt end up in my tire or my foot!We would have already broken our lease if this place werent so cheap and other places in Raleigh didnt gouge so bad.The cares team puts on a lot of events, but at this point it is obvious that theyre just trying to put lipstick on the pig that is Weston Lakeside.

You absolutely cannot beat this communitys location! While it is a little close to 40 (you can sometimes hear the traffic) it is absolutely ideal for active people or pet owners who want access to extensive greenways, trails, & parks. Move in was smooth & easy, thanks to Marquita. The apartment itself was clean & very well maintained upon move in. We were surprised by the additional cost for valet trash pickup, which you cant opt out of - we knew about the service, but not the additional cost. We also didnt have hot water upon move-in, but thats something you wouldnt be aware of unless you were living in the unit. Their maintenance team has been highly responsove, and we hope to get it fixed soon! But other than those couple things, you can tell that the community & units are very well kept and clean, and in the first few days of our time here, it seems like a quiet and pleasant place to live. When it came time to resign my lease, I received a notice saying that my rent was going to go up almost 250 DOLLARS!!! I was shocked. The office staff is very nice, but unwilling to even budge, or try to negotiate a more reasonable charge. The tiny, tiny less than 1,000 square foot apartment I leased was not worth 1,230 dollars a month!! NO WAY! So beware, If you are one of those lucky people who received a good deal on your apartment, except your rent to skyrocket. The walls are very very thin. Our upstairs neighbors were so loud that our crown molding, and ceiling started to crack because they were jumping, and running all over the apartment constantly. Horrible. The last thing I have to say is, they are some super sketchy people about money. We have finally received our letter saying how much we get back out of our security deposit. We payed 200 dollars, and are getting back 79. We had no charges other than a can of paint we had to buy to paint an accent wall back to the original color. Im sure they are going to try and tell me that sewer, water, ect cost over 80 dollars for the final month..but that is just bull!!I truly hate this place. Please dont waste your money here. They were even inside of the lights on my oven (how I discovered the infestation). I would wake up to them crawling on my walls, it was thoroughly disgusting. I felt disgusting and would email staff pictures and proof of infestation (they were crawling out of the electrical sockets!) they simply said it was because I left crumbs on the floor. I would ask around about roaches to people living there before I move in. Maybe things have changed, but even when I voiced concerns they were met with deaf ears. I moved out immediately, paying double rent, to just feel clean.

Its hard for me to leave one star because I am generally a very optimistic and forgiving person. With that said, save yourself the hassle and stay away from this place. My girlfriend and I are working professionals and dealing with management has become a third job. In fact, management here is borderline criminally incompetent. All of the beauty and convenience of Weston Lakeside is offset by terrible customer service and a front office that seems committed to giving residents the run-around. As several other people have mentioned, appliances at Weston break down and never get fixed. Emergency work orders are outsourced to a third party with no incentive to actually resolve the issue. I would even go as far as to say that outsourcing maintenance is their way of having to fix anything: the third party company refers you to management for emergency situations only to have management put you back in touch with the third party. Inevitably, someone from management will respond to this review and say they are sorry we had this experience and that its not representative of other residents experiences. DONT LET THIS FOOL YOU. If youre a working professional and can afford to live somewhere else, I highly recommend that you do so and save yourself the headache. One last point: this isnt an up-and-coming apartment complex. Instead its going downhill. When we chose to live here the reviews were generally positive. However, each time I put Weston Lakeside into my Google Maps for navigation purposes, I noticed that the Google Reviews have steadily declined. Ask yourself this question: Do you want to give $12,000+ to a business that has a record of terrible customer service?

As another reviewer expressed, do NOT move here! I had the same thing happen where I received an unheard of deal. If you get that unheard of rate let me assure you that you will never get it again. When I received my renewal rate it had increased over $200 per month! Outrageous! The apartment itself was a fine place, very functional and aesthetically pleasing however it was SO loud! You can literally hear everything your neighbors do, including their phones ringing and flushing toilets. They did this beautiful remodel to the clubhouse... except for the gym. Hardly anyone used the movie room yet they sunk part of their budget there and not in the one place everyone uses the most. The equipment is dated and clunky, and talk about a small space! If there are 4 people in there it feels VERY crowded. In addition if you use the movie room after hours, meaning after 6pm or whenever the clubhouse wasnt open then you were required to put down a security deposit of $500... just to watch a movie!THIS IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW!!!!! I thought my apartment was rigged because every time the area would get hit with a lightning storm my fire alarms would chirp... every. single. strike. Because they are an industrial system they are deafening and would go off at all hours. While I was moving out I ran into a neighbor of mine and asked if she experienced the same situation and interestingly enough she did! So, if you ever choose to look into living in building #1 beware of the temperamental fire alarms, they will make your heart jump every time. Horrible.

I have given them ample time to respond to my emails, which they have ignored, so I have decided to write this review.I first lived in a two bedroom waterfront unit (in 2015), which I loved, but after my son deployed for the middle east (for a year with the Army), I decided to downsize to a one-bedroom for awhile.I should mention that I have two, small dogs. Theyre a rare breed called Chinese Crested. If you Google them, youll see that they are HAIRLESS. I only mention this because upon moving out, The apartment attempted to have me pay hundreds of dollars worth of damages caused by excessive pet fur. It was ridiculous.I physically brought my dogs to the front office to show them that they were indeed hairless and could in no way have caused this damage. I sent a follow-up photo to the head office. Only then was my deposit returned (months later).Shortly after moving into the one-bedroom the construction started . if youve read any posts about this community, youll know they are removing ALL of the rock and wood facade as well as doing extensive roof work - very major renovations caused by water damage. The heavy, industrial scaffolding was first to go up, from the ground to the roof, followed by covering all of our windows and doors in dark green tarp. We essentially lived in darkness. This was compounded by extremely loud power tool noise each and every day (Jack hammers, Impact drills, Power saws, pneumatic nail guns, etc...).I had a permanent construction debris chute placed outside my unit from the roof down into a large metal container. Imagine the noise of hundreds of rocks being Jack hammered off and thrown down this chute all day. The chute amplified the noise, and the rocks falling into the metal container was deafening. To top it off, they placed a Port-a-Jon right outside my window. I couldnt even open my windows for fresh air, the smell was so bad.I wrote a very nice letter asking if they could relocate the potty, but they refused. My two dogs were so frightened by all of the noise that I had to take them to the veterinarian who prescribed daily sedatives for them. I was also advised to purchase white noise machines (I bought 3 to no avail) and Thunder-shirts (a type of dog-coat for anxiety), which didnt help. All of this was very costly and inconvenient. My dogs hid behind a chair in my closet all day and literally trembled with fear. These dogs are legal emotional support animals (I have PTSD), and they were not able to perform their duties as they were sedated daily... how could they?I recently received notice in the mail that they are again charging me for damages caused by excessive pet fur from the one-bedroom I just moved out of. SERIOUSLY? AGAIN? I am once again sending pics of my hairless dogs.To top it off, I had another very disappointing experience with management. I am an elementary special education teacher. Ive been teaching children with Down Syndrome, Autism and other disabilities for over 25 years.I ordered a workbook for my students and it was inadvertently sent to my old address - the apartment. Amazon sent a notice that it was left in the mailbox, so I drove over to pick it up. The woman in the office refused my request. When I returned home, I wrote the manager a very polite email, asking if I could come and retrieve the workbook and that it was for my students, etc... I asked him to let me know either way, so I could at least re-order it if he wasnt going to give it to me.He never wrote back. Not only is this legally my mail, it was an item for disabled children. I find these actions deplorable.

Ac has been broken for a week, first attempt did nothing. They did not responed to our request on Friday. Now, saturday, since it is only 77 degrees in our apartment they do not consider it am emergency so they will not work on it till monday. Supposed to get up to 78 tomorrow. They refused to get a third party ac company to work on. It has also been raining for two days so there is plenty of humidty to make it worse.

After reading a lot of the negative reviews, I was hesitant about living here. My fiancé can walk to work from this complex so we decided to go for it as it was too convenient to pass up. We have had a very good experience. Our apartment is very open, spacious, and is lit up with lots of sunlight. Our maintenance request for a lightbulb that went out was quickly addressed the next day. I work from home so I had the opportunity to meet one of the maintenance team members. He was very nice and answered all of my questions about how some of the light switches/outlet switches work(it is a little bit confusing). The complex feels safe and is family friendly. We havent had any issues with noise as we did at our last complex. There are plenty of places to walk around and the trail around Lake Crabtree is just a few steps away from our apartment. We recently adopted a dog. The office staff were super nice to my new puppy(offering water and treats as I gave all of the information needed) and made the process of adding a pet very easy.As a person who does a lot of research and always reads a ton of reviews before committing to anything whether its as big a decision as renting an apartment or something as small as buying something off of Amazon, I wanted to put my word out there to all those who are big researchers like me and say that I am very happy to live here. We havent had any issues and all of our questions/concerns have been addressed promptly. Maybe others have had different experiences in the past or even in different buildings. I think Weston Lakeside is definitely worth checking out, especially for how reasonable and convenient it is for an apartment in Cary.

Move out process was horrible and really left a bad taste in my mouth for the company. They wouldn’t return our phone calls or questions, we waited a month because we needed a paint number and they kept pushing us off only to tell us we needed to call Sherman Williams to figure it out ourselves. They charged us 50 dollars for a blind when the move out sheet said it would be 15. The move out sheets had to be sent to us physically, the prorated rent wouldn’t reflect on our portal so we got emails that we owed on the account even though we didn’t (we had to do the math ourselves to figure out what we should be paying with utilities), and final payments have to mailed or brought in person, can’t be paid over the phone, with a debit card or money order, and they didn’t provide any return envelope or stamp to mail it in but it will be sent to collections if they don’t receive it within 30 days.

While the complex is in a great location, do not be fooled. The management (particullarly the property manager) is demanding and doesnt seem to be understanding of any emergency situation. My advice: find some other place to live, and visit the greenway/Umstead Park for the views because thats really the only good part about Weston Lakeside.

I do not recommend the apartments at Weston Lakeside. You can hear everything your neighbors do because there is very little padding between apartments. I can hear the neighbors above us, below us, and even beside us. Also, weve had a lot of maintenance issues with the apartment where things were broken/falling apart and simply not built well. Several times Ive put in work orders and the staff never comes and when I call the office, theyve lost the request, or it accidentally was put on the bottom of the pile, or the maintenance team must have forgotten. These apartments are definitely beginning to show their age and if I was going to pay the amount they are in rent, I would look into some of the newer places that are right around them. There are some really nice places being built directly beside Weston Lakeside which look beautiful and have a better view of the lake.

This place sucks. They didnt build it right the first time so now they are going around trying to fix everything they fd up during initial construction over 10 years ago. There is scaffolding up all over the place with a green screen covering it, so if you live in one of the units where they are currently doing that phase of the construction, forget a lake view, or any view or even sunlight at all. The bulk of the construction has been going on since last September and from what Ive heard from the security theyve hired, the construction will probably go on for another 2 or 3 years. So 1 and done for this lease. I am out come May when our lease ends. The only cool things is having the lake and trails nearby.

This is honestly the worst place that I have ever lived. Staff are rude, and uncaring. Do not respond to emails or answer phone calls. To be fair to them the building was under construction, but the state everything was left on a regular basis is ridiculous. Multiple times I had to call, email, (with no reply) or go talk to them and they did absolutely nothing to fix the issues of nails everywhere on the property. The photos I have attached are from a very poorly lit area on the property and when I went to complain they did nothing to fix the problem. Pets, children, everyone is at risk of stepping on a rusty nail.STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.

Summary: Horrible management and office staff. Construction is very loud. Elevators are always broken. Stay away this place sucks.More detail:This place has the worst management I have ever seen in an apartment complex. I have lived in college student ran apartments that had better management. You go there to ask them a question and their default response is that they dont know the answer and that you need to talk to the manager. You talk to the manager and he sends you to the maintenance number or back to the office. The only good experience I have had with this apartment complex is that the onsite maintenance staff are polite and know how to fix stuff. Its a shame that the management keeps them from being able to do an even better job. They are doing construction on the roof and the siding outside because of water damage which has been just a mess. The place is not nearly old enough to have the number of leaks and damage that it has. The roofers banged around so much that globes fell from the ceiling and cut my dogs paws from stepping on it. It seems like they are jack hammering all the rock off the corner columns running up the side of the buildings. I believe they sent out flyers suggesting it may not be done for another year or two as of my post date.I moved into a 4th floor apartment because I didnt want anyone living above me which wasnt a problem for carrying stuff up and down the steps because the buildings have elevators which they were proud to talk about. The only problem is, the elevators only worked half the time. I had to move out this past weekend with a broken elevator... It never failed to break at the worst moment. No clue why they cant get it fixed right rather than getting it fixed for only a month or so.Overall dont move here if you dont want to live in a very loud construction setting, ever think you will need to use the elevator, or have any sort of good experience with office staff.

And we were before 4:00pm in another property that was amazing, but we want to keep looking the other options to decide which one will going to choose. Definitely Weston Lakeside apt IT NOT GOING TO BE NOT IN A MILLION YEARS.Well, when we finish to see one of the apts in the area we going to the Weston it was 4:10pm. Well after we left we go to another beautiful property close to the area. It was by the time 4:40pm I say well they my be closed but just to pass by. My husband and I have lived here since 2013 and weve very much enjoyed it for the most part. The construction going on right now IS very unsightly, but the end does seem to be in sight. The apartments are located in such a prime spot, which is the reason we keep renewing our lease. Our backyard is Lake Crabtree, and we can walk there in under 5 minutes. Were minutes away from RDU, the highway, and popular shops. The office staff, especially Sean and Marquita, know us by name. We dont even need to tell them our apartment number for packages. They are really great people who help us whenever we need it. I put in a maintenance request today for 3 things, and the maintenance person came and fixed them a literal hour later. Its the same person every time, I believe his name may be JC, but he is very pleasant and he doesnt mind my dog loving on him. This apartment isnt perfect, they are trying their best to get back to it. I only knocked off one star since I am over the construction, but it has nothing to do with the apartments, staff or maintenance crew. Im happy to stay here for another year.Cheers!

Stayed here for 8 years.. Had to move because of Never- ending construction activities..Workers having a peepshow into your apartment..Patios closed for almost a year..with mold on the doors and literally no fresh air circulation..Had Theft/safety issues earlier .. No attention/response..Will be writing a detailed review on this later. The big reason and concern is a Shifty team of Managers and a unconcernedly Director for this property..Trying to pull a huge amount 2700$ for damages.. Which has 1600 for carpet replacement (The contract mentions after 5 years it will be 20% of the cost, In this case $8000 will be normal charge).. Earlier-on I had mentioned to a asst Manager that the rating of this place is going down and how do they feel about it and She had replied That everybody has their own opinion, and I had said that some of the reviews were genuine, To which she just shrugged. The Management seems sketchy and trying to harness money from current residents and the ones who have just vacated .., Will try to post the developments.

Stayed there for over a year. This rating is considering the construction work that is in process . If I moved here after the process was over, I would have given it a 5 star.Pros:1. Maintenance: Maintenance staffs are very responsive. They come and fix your issues at the earliest.2. Location: I-40 is 5mins drive, RDU airport is 10mins drive. There is a beautiful greenway trail and lake crabtree just behind the complex.3. Amenities: 24/7 fitness center, game room, business center.4. Special events: frequent special events, food truck once in every weekCons:1. Construction work: Never ending construction work is causing a great inconvenience. windows are closed for months. construction noise is terrible. Front office staff told us that scaffolding at each section will be there for an estimated 2 months. But it was there for almost 8 months and restricted our view from balcony and window . (and we paid higher rent to live in a higher floor with lake view ) . It is sad that the scaffolding was removed and our balcony access was resumed just before we had to move out.2. High rent: There are apartments with almost similar features and lower rents in Cary Morrisville area. Considering the construction work in process, the rent seems higher.3. treadmill in the fitness center is often broken. I can hardly think of a day when 3 out of 3 of them were working.

This place sucks. Apartments are ok but walls are paper thin and so is the ceiling. Good luck getting peace and quiet. As for the management, they are as crooked as they come. Work orders stay open and are almost never completed unless you constantly call to keep asking. Even then, they screw it up with a half-assed job. My bathroom shower took a year to get fixed after 3 visits. I ended up having to go to lowes and get things to do it myself.Move out sucked too. They really get you here. Wear and tear on appliances like the stove top somehow warrants replacement of the entire stove for $400. I find it odd that I can live in an apartment 2 years and never need maintenance to fix my stove but as soon as I move out, its suddenly broken and needs to be fixed on my dime? Criminal. We wont even get into the parking situation. Multiple people had the cops out including myself filing police reports for hit and runs and damage to vehicles cause management does nothing about the speeding cars or security at the complex.Stay away from this place. Cary has better to offer.

I lived there for a few months before getting Lyme disease, bartonella and babesia (from a tick, walking on the lake theyre on). I became very sick. I initially thought it was from all their constant painting and lawn chemicals since I had neurological issues, but soon got diagnosed with lyme. I was barely able to stay there because I was so sick and the chemicals didnt help. I was unable to work, became disabled and had to leave. Theres no way to pay for the treatment while living there. My bank account was drained, had a picc line to my heart for iv antibiotics for months. The leasing office knew I was having paralysis, along with many other problems. I wasnt able to move myself out but my caretaker said everything was fine with the complex and cutting out on the lease early. Its been years now and Im looking into my credit in order to move somewhere else after having to live with friends. They never contacted me about charges, I only received mail from creditors. Ive written to them and not heard back, tried to fight it on my credit but theyre unwilling to budge. Dont move in here! Its not their fault I got sick, but I did get sick from a tick there, so be careful! The staff is rude and unwilling to work with you when youre all out of options.

We are enjoying our living at Weston Lakeside and the apartments are spacious with nice details (i.e. crown molding, garbage disposal, garden tubs, granite counter tops, etc). However I wish there were onsite recycling. Its a inconvenience when we are leaving town and with my one year old to make the trips to the recycling center. Also, I believe more people would recycle if it were more convenient. The extended closure of the business center and gym was frustrating, especially because they really didnt do anything structurally with the remodel. So for over a month we paid for amenities that we couldnt use. :-( However, its open now so we are thrilled! The best part about living at Weston Lakeside Apartments is the green way path to the North Cary Park and trail around Lake Crabtree!! If you enjoy being outdoors this is a great complex for you.

I arrived at the office at 5:20pm after rushing straight there from work. The office closes at 6 but I had been calling all day to speak to someone to arrange a tour bUT none ever answerved or returned my calls. I saw an amazingng deal on a 3 bedroom online, so I jumped on it. After reading all of these negative reviews, Im starting to regret it. The woman in the dice on the left told me.that she could not let me see the apartment because they stop at 5pm. Thats crazy !!! Normal people usually get off work at 5, so how are they supposed to see the apartments if tours are not given after 5. So my husband and I gave ourselves a tour around the clubhouse. We ended up completing the application on line in the business center because we fell in love with the clubhouse alone. Big mistake !!!! So we went to the building that the available apartment is in and looked for the apartment number. Its in building 3 and needless to say, it looks like it was hit by a tornado or hurricane. Its literally falling apart. And thats just from the outside. I tried to peek in the windows since the apartment was on the ground floor. Horrible, is the only way to describe it. Im so disappointed with myself for paying the fees online prior to seeing the place. But the lady in the office expressed that it was the last 3br available and she didnt know when another one would be. Therefore giving us a sense of urgency. So at the end of the day, we wasted our money, my husband is upset with me, Im not pleased with the looks of things, and I still havent even seen the inside. I may just have to take the loss or contact my dad, who is an attorney to see if I could legally get my $210 back that I paid for app and administrative fees. We were told that since we work in law enforcement for the state that the fees were discounted, but it did not reflect that discount on the website. Im already feeling not to optimistic about this decision.

First of all i couldnt beleive that my apt had flooded from upper level. Not only that the worst thing was the managements act about it. They didnt fix it, they only painted over the spot while i was not in the apt, so it looked like ok. But reality, the mold was growing and it made my kid sick. My kid was coughing every single morning and the whole apt was stink. She is still going to doctor to fix her coughing problem and sored throat. My little poor baby is taking a pill for fix it every day. She is only 8 years old. She never had a problem in her health.Secondly my sink got fall twice. You wouldnt imagine how horrible was it. And yet they fixed it really bad still has a hole in my sink. Because of that humidity my whole cabinets got cracked and got mold.I though that the apt was really good conditions and location but after all these things happened, i dont recommand to other people.I spoke with the management several times, i can tell i visited so much to fix it in a good manner but they are making me a problem after i lived there about 3 years.Horrible management apt, that i can tell you. Do not move there.

Overall not a horrible place to live. The pool is super nice in the summer if you can handle the smokers and screaming kids. One down side is the insulation. You can hear a lot... but thats apartment living. The location is really the main reason to live here. Super easy access to both Raleigh and Durham. My one complaint is actually the integration of the property management company and maintenance company. Yes, I think they are separate entities. Tried to have my final walk through and office people had me call the maintenance hotline to put in a work order. Then I call, day of, to confirm with the hotline and they say that I need to call the leasing office. Maybe theyre on a new maintenance contract, but clearly they have not worked out their integration with the maintenance folks. Then it turns out that I didnt need to call the hotline at all! Not sure why the customer has to do all this running around just to schedule a final walk through. In general, I found the maintenance company to be pretty crappy. Slow to respond to work orders, not so great service, didnt always provide actual resolution to problems.Ill also comment, people were saying that the leasing office staff were professional... I would disagree. They seem young and inexperienced. To me thats not a reason to knock the complex, but thought that Id chime in to share. My reasoning is that their bookkeeping seems very lackluster. Ex. my roommate and I couldnt remember who paid the deposit and since it was certified funds, there was no name on the check. An experienced bookkeeper would have required some information in the memo of the check. Unfortunately, they couldnt help us figure out the answer. If you go in around the time of this comment... the young lady that sits on the left is SUPER nice and helpful. She seems to be the most knowledgeable too. The older lady that sits on the right is really curt and seems like she might be new. Take my advice and talk to the younger gal! I should note, I didnt dock stars for this section, just wanting to respond to consensus that i read. What they lack in experience, they make up for by being nice and getting the job done. All in all, its a decent place to live! A bit pricey but maybe if you catch them on a day when they NEED a lease, you might end up with one of those killer deals that other people were commenting about. I really enjoyed the walking trails and the location. Happy apartment hunting!

They say alls well that ends well, so I suppose all is not well that ends not well. This is how I would summarize my familys stay at Weston Lakeside Apartments (WLA).In summary:1) WLA withheld our entire deposit based on their right to assess extra cleanup charges for items left after vacation which in our case were two bags of garbage in the kitchen and 1 box of packing peanuts in the living room plus whiteboard makers on the porch glass door (easily cleanable with a paper towel). And we had paid them to clean the apartment anyway. They offer that as a service.2) WLA is a nice place to stay except for the thin walls.Details:We lived in building 1 which is probably the best building to live in except that now their is a new complex that has been built right next door. I say it is the best since it is a short walk to the gym, business office, pool room, cinema, game room and management office from within building 1 or 1000 as it is actually numbered. The apartments were built in 2007 and they are very nice on the inside. However, you will hear everything from your neighbors below you. Even while sitting on the sofa in the living room we could hear our neighbors below us talking in their living room. Lying on the floor to watch TV in our apartment if the neighbors were in their living room downstairs was not possible. I have heard others say that adjacent walls are also this way but we did not experience that. We were however, able to hear people coming up and down the steps outside of our kids room if the ceiling fan was not running, in the winter time for instance. The folks in the management office are nice and responsive. Maintenance was very responsive. However as mentioned above the management company is not flexible on anything and will exploit your lease to the $ for any offense or lateness of payments. I would say that in our case we were abused with the lease as we paid $69 for cleanup which means people were already in our apartment but they saw fit to charge us $75 for the two bags of garbage, 1 box of packing peanuts and whiteboard marker drawings our kids made on the glass to the patio door. Whiteboard markers are made to wipe off of glass BTW. These things were left by us because I had to remove the remainder of our belongings late on the last night of the lease and I was exhausted. But there was no understanding from the management. Alas America is a place of no mercy when it comes to getting the most $$ possible out of a fellow human being so I suppose I shouldnt be surprised.
