Absolutely loved my first experience at Highlight Salon! Everyone was super friendly and it was a great deal. I got full foil highlights, haircut, and blow dry for $109. This would cost hundreds anywhere else in Boston. Rima was amazing. She knew exactly what to do and was so sweet! I will be back!!!

I have been coming here for the past 4 years. Lule is the only person who has been able to tame my thick & frizzy hair with Keratin. Other keratin treatments never worked (I had tried 3-4 other salons/stylists) but she is SO patient and takes it one tiny strand at a time. I don’t know much about the other stylists. I’m so lucky I found Lule!

Had my Haircut, highlights and styling by Naji. He is amazing. My hair looks gorgeous and he did the exact same style I wanted. I know now where to go for my hair!!

Really nicely done and well priced for highlights and cut and blow dry, the only thing i didn’t like was they put me under a heat lamp with foils on. I know this is bad for your hair and I’m not used to it, so I asked them to stop, which they did quickly.

Horrible experience at this salon. The color I received did not match the picture I asked for, by any means. Although I did ask for a bright blonde, I did not ask for my hair to be sizzled by a million foils. I was put under heat for roughly 15 minutes, with BLEACH in my hair. I can hardly run my fingers through my hair because of the severe damage that was done by this process. When telling the owner I was not happy with the color, he put in a toner, rather than apologizing and offering to put in a low light. Awful experience, and horrible hair.

Quoted the incorrect price, hair stripped of color. Called and spoke to an incredibly rude staff with no compensation. Super disappointing to say the least.

I was in Boston for a work trip from Charlotte, NC. Taking advantage of my weekday daytime availability, I decided to get my hair highlighted and cut. I was paired up with Rima who did a great job lightening my dark hair to exactly what I wanted. She also did a great cut job! Love how this salon also offers Olaplex. Will be watching Google Flights to try and get back up for maintenance when needed :)

Not the worst or even close to the best blowout for $40. I even washed and conditioned beforehand and still had to ask them to straighten areas and add hairspray.

They did a good job with my hair but they are expensive. Also the salon itself is not really clean. Im not only speaking about the typical stuff like hair laying around or the dirty sinks from washing color out of the hair of the former person but also old color rests everywhere, dirty floor in general,... The hair job done is good but instead of sitting around when they dont have a customer they should definitely try to clean more.

This is the best hair salon I have ever been to! I have extremely thick coarse hair and every single salon cuts way too much off or doesnt give me what I am looking for and I wind up wasting money and time. But not Highlight Salon, Rod is my absolute favorite, he makes me smile every time I am in there and truly is a sweetheart I enjoy going there so much!

Ramy has been my hair stylist for almost three years, and I would never trust my hair to anyone else but him. Every single time I go to either trim or color my hair, he always leaves me satisfied. He’s really good at understanding what I want and what I like, and at determining what works best for my facial features, hair and skin color.

Had a cut and color (full foil) done by Rod. AMAZING WORK! It was done quickly and professionally. The place also has a nice atmosphere. I would definitely go back. He got it exactly the way I wanted it.

Called to make an appointment and from this brief interaction decided not to get my hair done here. I asked for an available appointment was offered one time on Saturday at 9:30 but unfortunately, I had a conflict. It was short notice on my part so I was not expecting much. I asked about the following week and was offered a 1 or 11 on Monday and I clarified that I had one appointment that day at noon so I could not make those times but was otherwise available. He then got frustrated and told me to tell him a day and time that works so he doesnt have to go back and forth. I had been pleasant and polite during our conversation and was surprised by the rude response.There are many ways to say this more politely and plenty of salons in Boston that can at least make it through scheduling an appointment without being rude. Go elsewhere and support a salon that can, at the very least, manage to be polite while scheduling an appointment.

I got a cut, color, and keratin treatment. I am so happy with the results. My hair looks and feels amazing. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I will definitely be coming back!

Had a hair cut 2 days back at Highlight Salon. The boss, name starts with S(Im bad at remembering name) just chopped of my long hair for more than 3 inches than I asked for without a single time asking me further before chopping off and finishing my haircut in 5 minutes, please be aware of him.

Love the stylists at Highlights Salon, especially Denise and Victor. My hair is a lot of work to do but they make it look like a million dollars every time they do it. Two thumbs up !!!

Lule is the best! She has done my hair twice now (cut & dye) and Ive been more than happy both times. This is coming from someone who NEVER likes the finished product after getting my hair done! She also was able to fix a botched balayage I had the last time I went in. She did an incredible job and I would recommend her services to everyone.

Had bad experience with Gabriel. Went in 2nd time for color and cut. I wanted same color as I did when I used Groupon, well he didn’t have the info on the color #. He didn’t listen to what I saying to describe the color I wanted, he rushed and told me this is the color he used the last time. So I trusted him and it was a much lighter color. He didn’t even have time to cut my hair, he had another coworker cut and my hair and it’s cut uneven.Terrible service, I shouldn’t of tipped him, but I did.Never again will I return.No wonder why they used Groupon to obtain customers.

I have come in to see Leeba three times now and every time I have left more excited than the last. He did an amazing job with my hair. I first came in June to get some caramel highlights and they came out amazing, came in a second time to get them lightened and to add some more. The most recent visit I decided to get more of a balayage look to make it look more natural and I honestly didnt think I could have been more impressed with his work but he left me breathless and I look great! His personality makes him a joy to be around. Definitely staying with Leeba for good.

The customer service of the owner is terrible!! Rude, in fact! The complete disrespect of the customer was offensive!! Very dissatisfied with treatment! And when brought to his attention - he was argumentative and disrespectful!! Not only his offensive words but his eye rolling and general body language!! Would NEVER return!! Go anywhere else!!

I am writing this review because I want to warn other people who consider going there.I got a shampoo, cut and blowdry package on Groupon. When I called to make an appointment, I let them know that I have a Groupon.I came in to a salon expecting to get long layers with a side bang and explained that I want upper layer to be a little bit shorter than other layers in order to create volume. I have been appointed a nice Albanian woman to take care of me. She spoke to me and went looking for her boss. After I explained myself again and showing a few pictures to both of them, the lady washed my hair and her boss took care of me from there. I got pretty excited at first, because I thought he will do an outstanding job(he was overly confident).He separated my hair that grow on a very top, twisted it and without any kind of measurement or asking me if thats the right length....gave me a mullet in a swift move! He threw that chunk of hair with a very important look on his face, looking like he knows exactly what he is doing, but I was in shock from what he did. He took off more hair from each side and started blow drying. The whole process took maybe 10 minutes. Then he started making fun of me using a box hair dye and pushing me to go to his place to dye my hair. Well, the box hair dye worked perfectly well for me, because it covers my grays and gets the job done.I told him that problem is not my hair dye, but what he just created on my head. I looked like a mushroom and layers desperately needed some blending. He got mad at me for asking him to make some corrections! He was rude beyond a belief. With his razor he aggressively(which kinda hurt) shaved more hair of my head and said its enough. The Albanian lady redeemed my voucher.I looked like I was getting a very short bob and left in the middle of my hair getting done. The worst thing that ever happened to my hair without exaggeration. It took me almost 2 years to grow out my hair after having very short hair. That guy robbed me of my beautiful long hair.Luckily on my way home I stopped at Dellaria salon at Downtown Crossing, begging them to let me speak with one of their stylists regarding what I can do with my hair now and schedule an appointment. Amazing stylist David sat me in a chair and just starting fixing my hair, because it was so terrible. All staff in Dellaria just gathered around me an were in shock from what Highlight Salon dude did to me. David blended the layers and did everything he could to fix my poor disgraced hair. He didnt even charged me, but I gave him a generous tip and since now on, I will be making an appointment only with him, because he made my hair look decent after there was almost no room left for a fix.Maybe Highlight Salon is good for others who want color or highlights, but they ruined my hair for a good year and gave me a worst haircut of my life.

Not for Men, worst ever hair cut i’ve ever had in my whole life, my hair looks really awful, i don’t recommend this salon for Men, unless you want to go back home & cut it all and be bold for while, this salon is The worst ever “for Men”.!!in addition, after booking, i arrived 5 min earlier, i was told i’ll have to wait 10 min because the current client came late, BUT i had to wait almost 40min,worst service as well.!

Rhema is a real artist. Have been in Boston 6 months, tried the highest rated salons, for highlighting, color in between, this is by far the best.

Amazing! Absolutely incredibly results. Saliba is an excellent stylist. Unique, fun and professional. Very nice atmosphere. I stumbled upon Highlight Salon via Groupon while looking at salon reviews online. I have wanted to get a Keratin treatment done for a couple years now, but never have because of the cost and trust of the stylist. I started looking online and reading reviews (I heard horror stories from Groupon so I did my research). Saliba had great responses and the price on Groupon was such a steal, I decided to give it a shot. I am half mexican and my hair is insanely dry, rough, frizzy, long, and absolutely completely unmanageable. I did not think anyone or any treatment could tame it. I used to wear my hair in a side braid or bun for probably 10 years. My hair was transformed into smooth, frizz-free, SOFT, touchable hair. I am estatic and so grateful. He made me feel BEAUTIFUL! Will definitely be back.
