I have lived at Oak Pointe for over 3.5 years and the property is well maintained. Chad the property manager exceeded every expectation I might have had. Truly he is the most diligent property manager I have came across in my years as a renter. I also found him to be personable, resourceful, and expediently responsive with any maintenance issues I have had while living in the property.

Chad, the property manager, is amazing!! So hospitable, polite, responsive, and caring. I really enjoyed my time living here and appreciated the amenities offered.

We looked at a lot of apartments before moving into the area. Oak Pointe couldnt have been better. Very beautiful, safe, and family focused neighborhood. Direct access to bike paths, Richardson Nature Preserve, and a park across the street. Large bedrooms. Well maintained building and grounds. And Chad the manager is the best. This is more like a community than a normal apartment building.

Apartment unit is dated to that of its 1984 roots complete with original carpet and wall paper to boot along with gym from 1988 +/- that appears to have never been maintained nor updated along with paper thin walls between ceiling for the entire complex, unfortunately. So much so, that in many cases tenants that end up staying - move to the 3rd floor or move out entirely - within their first 12 to 24 months coupled with yearly rental increases of $50 to $100 dollar to your monthly rent amount adds up to a hefty amount when you consider what you are getting in exchange for $$$$$.Then when you factor in that their HVAC, elevators and garage doors have high tendency breakdown ( i.e., 4 of 12 months you will encounter such events ) along with no inspection date of service to speak of even when you attempt to address such issues with management, unfortunately. In addition, if you happen to neglect submiting your maintainance requests in via email, management will come back with canned responses such as, I thought it was in working order last we know... or it appears we have no record of such a request..., etc.And rounding things out, you will find junk cars parked across the vehicle lot, limited security, limited office hours, empty vending machines, etc. So if this is not your kind of ride, then you may want to look else where.

Chad is the best Property Manager in the business. He follows through on all requests, hes extremely helpful and very professional. Chad takes great pride in managing Oak Pointe Apartments and its visible in the top-notch hospitality he gives each resident. I would highly recommend this beautiful community to my closest family and friends...what a treat!

The management is superior. By far the friendliest, most helpful and accessible building management ever, especially Chad. The grounds are impeccably maintained, it looks like a condo environment vs apartment rentals. You cannot top the location. I would recommend to any friend or family member looking to rent in the Bloomington area.

Great place. Ive lived here for over 3 years now. The staff are always super helpful and accommodating. The vending machine and hot-tub have been busted for many months now but thats about the only negative.

My family and I lived at these apartments for a year, and we had a great experience: from the friendly residents, to playing in the pool, to the underground parking, to helpful staff (Chad, Dale, and Saeeda are the best!), and a safe, mostly quiet place to live. I recommend these apartments (and the nearby walking trails are so wonderful!)

My partner and I lived in these apartments for the last 4 years, and only moved out this month because we purchased a home. We took a chance on a deal during the ‘ugly’ part of winter, and it was the best decision we made.We were absolutely spoiled for the nature around us! A true emerald hiding among the ‘burbs. The building is right next to a paved bike and pedestrian trail that leads directly to Hyland and Bush Lake parks, both beautiful nature reserves that offer year round activities - skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, childrens activities at Richardson Nature Center, and so much more.If we needed to go anywhere, 494 was right there, and sandwiched between Edina, Eden Prairie and East Bloomington, shopping options were close by with little fuss.The neighbors were always friendly, and there are often community run events, especially for the kiddos! Management and maintenance were wonderful and easy to work with, and the grounds well kept (I specifically enjoyed the rotating arrangement of seasonal plants out front.) In-unit laundry was ever a blessing, and we enjoyed how spacious our kitchen managed to feel in a one bedroom unit. We enjoyed the car washing bay, underground parking (with security cameras) and personal storage units! We never personally took advantage of the gym, pool, rec room or party rooms, but they’re all options available should they interest you.We’ll truly miss this place - it has so much to offer for people of all ages and activity levels, so give it a chance if you find yourself looking for a new home.
