Scott did my exhaust on my Camaro about 5 years ago (before I had a welding machine). He was upfront, fair on price, and did tremendous work. Since then, I have recommended his shop to everyone I know. I flipped and repaired cars for the last 5 years and anytime my workload got too heavy, Id send customers to his shop.

Noticed a pretty severe coolant leak yesterday on the way home from work and dropped it off this morning at Firestone in Papillion hoping it was something simple like a hose or something. No such luck. According the the tech at FS I had a cracked water pump which they stated they had seen a lot of bad pumps but never a cracked one. Quoted $800 to replace it flush the system and replace the serpentine belt which needed it because it was soaked with coolant and would never stop squealing. They also told me I needed to replace some lines on my oil cooler which were leaking (I knew about this as there had been a slight leak for a while) and had apparently gotten pretty bad. That along with the water pump was going to be about $1500. Decided that sounded way over priced so I called Scott at Wilsons to get an estimate. He agreed that it sounded over priced and quoted about $400 - $450 for the water pump repair and said he would take a look at the other stuff. Had the truck towed to Wilsons and he was able to get to it and repair everything that needed repaired for $428 and the truck was done the same day. He said there was no reason to replace the belt as there were no cracks and the squealing would go away before long (didnt here it at all today after I picked it up). He also informed me that indeed the oil lines were still leaking but that it was nothing severe that needed addressed right now. Bottom line...dont go to the extremely high overhead shops that have to try and soak you so for everything youve got. I definitely have a new mechanic.
