I love living here and I love the community the staff has been so helpful and understanding. I wouldn’t live anywhere else. Although I wish they would make to their park. Other than that I am absolutely awed by their agricultural, close to a lot of shopping centers and a Nike forest and trail. Pet grit and our neighbors are amazing and so nice.
Parking is terrible and their only solution is to buy a covered parking spot that has a waitlist. So you just get tickets from the TriMet every other night. Not helpful.
My roommate and myself moved here during the Pandemic but its honestly been a quality of life upgrade over our old place. Not a bad spot to weather the storm. They reopened the gyms and pools. They have food trucks on Wed and Fri. Its nice to get a little variety and not have to risk dining out.
***UPDATE: If you read Pallas comment below, they ask me to contact the leasing office. Well I did that and did not get any assurance that anything would be done. Its now been a couple weeks and if anything the noise has gotten worse. Since one of the apartments making noise is in clear violation of the Pallas lease, there is something they could do, they just clearly dont really care. I also will note, one of my other neighbors complained to me in person about it completely unprompted... so Im definitely not the only tenant bothered by this twice daily blasting of music. Also there is one family whose children are easily 10x louder than any other family here and its clear my only solution to this is to move out ASAP.DONT LIVE HERE IF YOU LIKE PEACE AND QUIET!!!Original Post:I have some consistently noisy neighbors that cause a nuisance and did not get a response when I tried to get help from Pallas.
I love my townhome its so spacious! The property is dog friendly and has dog waste stations throughout the community making it so easy to walk around. The community is always so clean and kept up to par. Maintenance team is great and so is the office staff. The community is close to Nike, Costco and Cedar Hills Shopping Center!
Their reviews are fake, they remove anything that shows their true quality of life. Do NOT live here, avoid at all costs, this place is extremely old and buildings are ran down. Lipstick on a pig apartment complex. Keep removing my reviews Ill be here to warn everyone the truth of this place!!!
Management has been great in my experience. While theyre usually super busy, theyll still take your calls and theyre overall very friendly. Maintenance usually shows up within the hour if you request it.The units themselves are your typical units, walls arent too thin but you might still hear your neighbors. Craftsmanship isnt great (gaps between the carpet and the molding, wobbly fixtures/handrails, chipped paint, paint where it shouldnt be, a never-ending battle with the shower grout and caulking ...) but I guess thats pretty standard for apartments. The unit wasnt cleaned when we got it and some small things were broken, but we didnt tour it first so maybe thats a little bit on us. The area is pretty clean considering how close it is to a MAX stop and how many residents have dogs. Our washer and dryer are older than some of the other units, but it works fine, its just really small.Weve been pretty behind on rent due to COVID, but we havent been hounded with phone calls and management has been understanding and patient while we go through the process of rental assistance. The neighbors arent always great, but thats true everywhere. We caught a new neighbor attempting to steal our doordash order, so be careful about packages being left on your step. Some neighbors also park in really annoying places or have gigantic LOUD trucks that make it nearly impossible to get around them when theyre in their driveway, and I wish there were stop signs in front of the parcel lobby because visibility is really bad there. The garages are TINY, so small my little sedan can barely open its doors in there. So if you drive an SUV or bigger you will probably be parking in the driveway. If you drive a truck you should park out in the lot because the streets are really narrow between units.Overall Id recommend it. Its a really expensive area and these units are really expensive (overpriced for sure) but having management that isnt openly evil and stingy is probably worth the extra money, especially if you consider some of the other apartments in the area and how their management is. Hope this helps anyone whos apartment hunting.
There are some pretty shady apartments in this area but this place is very clean cut and has very wonderful apartments and the maintenance staff is amazing and they go above and beyond whenever theres a problem!
Aside from parking issues the entire time I lived there, no real issues with this complex. Super hard to find parking unless you pay the extra for a covered spot (though in my area there weren’t many close anyway), so sometimes parking outside the complex was required and pretty inconvenient.Overall, I think pricing is higher than comparable complexes in the area and move out charges were ridiculous. Typical wear and tear and my security deposit was down the drain, along with extra charges. The way they worded the lease though makes it hard to actually argue any charges away. Happy I moved and upgraded!
Ive lived here for over a decade and love it. It is a brilliant safe central location for access to major work places. The luxury they offer is the best with high ceilings, large rooms, walk in closet, inside laundry machines, dishwasher, fridge, oven, microwave, fireplace. On top of that the service is excellent. Oh, and did I mention two pools, two hot tubs, two gyms, walking to the MAX, game rooms (yes video games, pinball, pool table) cable television at the pools, gas fire places - yes at the pools. Believe it or not, youre not going to find better than this.
🗣️Shout out to the maintenance crew here! I had submitted an Emergency maintenance request mid-afternoon on a day they were testing fire alarms on the property. I asked that a tub stopper be installed by the end of the day as my roommate was having the worst week and mentioned wanting to take a bath when she got home. With all the crew had going on they got it taken care of and left a thoughtful note. Thanks for being a light in a challenging week!
Great apartments. Great staff. Wonderful community. The office staff are wonderful. The maintenance staff including Matt, Tim, and Eric are always here same day and incredibly competent and pleasant. Considering the covid times, we are grateful we are here.
Not a bad place to live— above average for apartment complexes. I have yet to have an issue, the townhome is clean and has newer appliances, the attached garage is great, and the bedrooms are roomy. However, if you don’t have a garage, good luck finding parking. You will spend all night finding a parking spot if you get home after 6pm. My second complaint is that they’re still charging the same amount in rent even though all amenities are closed. Overall safe, 20min from downtown, good mgmt, and a clean property.
Beautiful apartments I WISH I could afford to live there
We moved from the Pearl District out to here. The remodeled apartments are modern and elegant. Our master bedroom has a walk in closet and huge bathroom. The guest bedroom is nice for a small office and space for a queen bed. We have been living here for 6 months and have had no issues whatsoever. We have a Great Dane and he has plenty of space to go on walks and theres a field close by where we run him. Going to school in Old Town Im able to take the max right on the complex and be there in 35 minutes.Recently weve thought of moving into a bigger apartment in Pallas and Kylie has been more than amazing. She was also the person who helped us move here in the first place.Maintenance requests are fast and the office answers any questions promptly. Parking is a hassle past 5:00 pm but its free so we deal with it. You can have assigned covered parking for a fee.Moving from the city out here has made our quality of life a little easier. Its very quiet out here and we enjoy the two pools and their hot tubs frequently. Our building is right off of the main office and weve never seen or heard anything remotely suspicious. Maintenance workers are constantly surveying the area and the people weve met here have been more than open and welcoming.
Stellar apartment home, and the office and maintenance staff are prompt to respond and help with the very few issues we’ve had. Could NOT ask for better or friendlier assistance! Pallas was our choice after selling our home and we’re happily into our 2nd year here with plans to stay. Our building is clean and bright and has an elevator and covered parking. Our outdoor spaces are a real bonus after giving up a yard (hummingbirds and wonderful views), and the Max stop is just across the way. Mitch and Marsha
Been living at Pallas, a.k.a LaSalle for quite some time now and even-though improvements have been made, the current management (new management) is not on top of things like the previous management was. My only suggestion is not live next or around the dog park – dog owners don’t give a rip about residents living next to the dog park and don’t care if their pets are loud. Place has turned into party central for many and the visitor parking sucks because many residents have too many vehicles and use up all the spaces. For the money the lists some of these units for, you could easily rent a house for the same amount. Would prefer not to give any stars but had to in order to post.
Ive been here for over three years with no major issues. Greta and Kylie + maintenance team have been clutch over the span of me living here... From helping with package solutions while out of town to fast (same day) work order responses + a clean fix. Always naturally pleasant to work with.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE living here! We have been here for a few years now, and are so grateful for the super-sweet staff who are always willing to go above and beyond to help, and the super-talented maintenance team! I love that you can email them or go onto the site to enter a work order, no need to wait until they are open to call in!They have events through the year that are family friendly, and so fun! Its a great opportunity to meet your neighbors, and to have fun with the family. My daughter won one of their fancy prize Easter baskets last year at the egg hunt, and we got to use the sun block, and beach towel at the pool party that came in the Easter basket she won!The amenities are all fantastic as well, 2 pools and hot tubs with grills, a ping pong table, TVs outside, warm fire pits. A 24 hr gym, game room with living space away from your living space to hang out, or rent out!Our daughters birthday party was so great thanks to the huge space we had access to rent! Thank you Pallas Apartment Staff! We love you all!
Im writing this for my daughter as she is afraid of the repercussions of writing a negative review as she does still live here. She has been dealing with many things. First off the staff is not Helpful. They act like youre a problem if you have a problem. It is a lack of leadership. As you can see by there responses online. It is always the same, please contact us. It is almost like it is an automated response to the many complaints on here. She moved in as it seems like a good safe location. She has my grandkids living here and has had to deal with neighbors who leave heroin needles outside of their apartment almost out my daughters walk area. Staff is very carefree when it was brought up to them, evidently it seems like some of the tenants here are criminals and they will tell you because of covid there hands are tied. Meanwhile my grandkids safety is nothing that they care about. Maintenance staff has never cleaned the walkways by the stairs. I have gone out there with gloves to pick up these needles condoms and other things. Again staff does not care! This is evident, And please spare us your automated response. Also maintenance staff is very rude. I have heard the way they talk about the tenants as I was in my daughters apt and did not know they had entered for a work order, they used profanity and also left her apt dirty bringing in leaves and dirt from their shoes! It is the most overpriced apt with old appliances refrigerators and stoves that smell and washing machines that dont work. They have never fixed anything, I have even some of the responses from them saying we cant find an issue. Again as someone who worked in customer service for 35 years they are very rude. Look around a lot before you rent here. The reviews online are very telling and so is managements responses to the issues.
Update: Petty theft has recently taken a significant uptick in the area. Avoid at all costs. Its not really the fault of Pallas, but at this point Ill need to find a safer place to live.I like Pallas just fine. My town home is a newer renovated unit. The price is good compared to other properties this close to a MAX line. That being said, Its not been the best with regards to Covid-19. Personally, my financial situation is fine (for now), but the frequent landscaping has made working from home very difficult. As the crisis stretches on, I will likely choose to find a different apartment. They arent going to lower prices here even if market demand drops. So Ill need to find a cheaper place come November 2020.
Beware, these are not honest people. They will look to nickle and dime you in the fine print of their lease. Charged us 3 grand on move out, after putting down a $300 dollar deposit—Steer Clear
Pallas is the definition of dont judge a book by its cover. The cover seems very nice, like an upstanding, business professionals neighborhood. Unfortunately both old and new management are horrible about regulating rules and even its own policies. 1. The pool areas say each resident is only allowed 2 guests yet all through the summer both pools are used by a few people to throw a weekly party that usually doesnt end until midnight or later (pool area is supposed to be closed by 10 pm). When I asked a leasing agent about the policy they told me they dont actually enforce the policy. 2. There literally isnt enough parking spaces and with no street side parking anywhere near by you are forced to park in the trimet lot and hope to not get a ticket. This problem could be easily solved by the membership people regulating guest parking passes (or eliminate them altogether) but when I brought this up to an agent they told me it wouldnt be fair to deny residents having guest parking passes. So my wife and I pay rent on a 2 bedroom (overpriced) but someone who doesnt pay rent can get a parking pass from a resident (unlimited) and essentially take up the spot of someone who actually pays rent in the community? How is that fair to residents? 3. Pallas was recently purchased by a new management company, the first thing they do? Shut down the community center to host a 4 day training event. This is something that could be done in either the main leasing office OR ANY OPEN CONFERENCE ROOM FREAKING ANYWHERE, but new management decided it would be a better idea to take away an amenity for 4 days from all residence so they can train there employees on how not to treat your current clients. This always doesnt include the fact that there was a police related gun shootout at one of the apartments this summer and not a single resident was given notification from the leasing office. I would urge anyone looking here to find a better place elsewhere
So far so good. My cat, spouse and I love it here. Only thing is I wish there was AC! But I love the layout, the landscape, the good staff, and location. The club house and events, like Cheese & Wine is awesome.
Good location, the staff is friendly and professional, rent remained consistant, no surprises, everyone as well as the office seemed to mind their own business on what you do in your own apartment with the exception of music, apparently playing music at any reasonable volume that isnt so quiet you can barely hear it yourself gets threatened with early eviction, headphones are fine but if you want living room music then go fish. Also, when the amenities closed Pallas wouldnt lower the rent to compensate what the tenents signed up for. Theres usually loud noise from maintaince early in the morning and sometimes during other parts of the day too. The sprinklers cover the sidewalks with water, the amenities were great when they were open, the showers by the swimming pools dont work though. Lots of puppies around with their owners. Also check the smoke detector batteries, those things might go off at 4am over it if you dont and if it is the battery youll have to wait until 10am before you can even contact maintaince to replace the battery, and if one goes off the all go off and itll spread across the whole building all over one dead battery.
Ive lived here for about 3.5 years. The office staff and maintenance are great. To address things that others have said, I have never had any issues with mold or moisture in the unit, the noise is at completely average levels, and I can never hear my neighbors so the walls seem to be pretty well soundproofed. What keeps this from being 5 stars:- parking is a nightmare if you get home after 7 or 8 and dont rent a space.- renovations have been going on for 2 years which was really obnoxious but it has recently finished- leaf-blowing and mowing right under my windows at 8 or 9 in the morning. I work swings and graves so its rough. The loud stuff should really be reserved for noon or later.- people go through the garbage and recycling almost every night- maintenance is very resistant to replacing any appliances. We currently have a dryer that we have to run for 180 minutes to dry a load of laundry, a dishwasher that doesnt clean our dishes unless we run it 2-3 times and is rusting, and a stove that runs way too hot and has a broken oven lock. None have been replaced or repaired even though weve notified maintenance of the problems, in some cases multiple times. I love the maintenance guys here and theyre super cool about everything else, but they seem to be under pressure to not replace these things and act as if the problem is with the user, not the machine.Overall my experience here has been great though!
Special shout out to the girls in the office for always taking care of what I need and the maintenance staff. They are always there to take care of any maintenance issues and are usually resolved the same day I put in a maintenance request. Also, the new gym and renovated clubhouses/pool areas are fantastic! The dog park is a nice addition.you all should see a before and after of this property. Holland did a great job.
I have lived at Pallas for a few years. They have always been helpful to me and treat me with dignity and respect. I have not always been the best resident and they continue to go above and beyond to make the experience great for me and my children. I am thankful to be part of this community.
Laura and the entire team at LaSalle have been amazing. Our stay was short, only 6 months but in that time, front office staff was very helpful, respectful and timely in addressing the couple of issues weve had. The maintenance staff are prompt to address concerns. The grounds are well-maintained and cared for. A good place to stay with wonderful amenities and great staff.
Lived here 3 years in apartment near the Max Line. Very convenient transportation. Neighbors in apartment building quiet. Pools are wonderful. Staff always helpful. There are also townhouses for rent here, dont know much about them. Construction continues but its good to see management committed to maintaining property, the complex looks much better now.
Im rating this 1 stars due to the fact how unprofessional the team is here, I have called the office for a manager to call back regarding a situation with a neighbor that is allowing her 4 dogs to hang off the balcony and bark at 2am. However the office does not call back. It also upsets me how Pallas just emailed all residents, asking us to refer Pallas to other pet owners that might be looking for a place. They do allow all breeds. Pitbulls and huskies are restricted but there is alot living here. I guess if they dont ask, dont tell. FYI pet owner do be aware Pallas doesnt assist with the sport complex right next to it, its the field where the office tells you to take you dog to the bathroom. Since its not been attended, fox tails have grown throughout the field which are deadly to most dogs. Thanks Pallas
I have no problems when it comes to these apartments. Surroundings taken care of, apartments are roomy, pools and workout rooms clean .and maintained well. Office staff is professional and will work with you.Glad to call Pallas home.Gayle Sadowski
So I have lived at this complex for about 3 years now. I have seen many changes I this time. I must say I have been very happy. My family and I love this place. It is a clean and safe complex. The staff is fantastic and do what they can to make sure you feel important to them. The new ownership and management have been great thus far.Although the construction has taken a while, out looks amazing and really had made the feel of the property higher class.Thank you to all staff!
Nice
Weve only been living here for about 6 months, but its been wonderful ever since move-in! We looked at at least 20 other apartment communities in the area, and this was the only one that made us feel at home. The office staff has always been friendly and polite, on the phone and definitely in person. Maintenance has been speedy and accommodating to all of our requests (nothing of the apartments fault, just things we wanted adjusted to our liking). Its a very homey and quiet community, we love living here. The max station being so close is also a huge plus! Were very happy with our first home, here :)Marissa in the office has been especially helpful and outgoing ever since I first spoke to her on the phone to schedule a showing, so a huge thanks to her!UPDATE: We unfortunately had to move out about a week ago, due to the happenings of life. We were so sad to leave our amazing home here, and we want so badly to move back already! The apartment was great, our view was wonderful, the neighbors we had were so friendly, maintenance was ALWAYS great and willing to help out (THANK YOU MATT!!), and the office staff were always very accommodating. We will definitely consider moving back to La Salle in the future. :)
My husband and I have lived at LaSalle for almost 5 years now and there is truly nowhere else we would want to be! We’ve been in a couple of different floorplans, most recently a renovated 2 bedroom and it is gorgeous! The property itself has so much to offer: dog park, two clubhouses, two pools, two gyms, hammocks, playground, outdoor fire pit, the list goes on. We’re also right next to a Max Station! The gals (shout out to Greta, Olivia, Laura, Amy, and Kylie) in the office have always been so helpful and kind, and the maintenance staff is the friendliest we’ve ever had the pleasure of letting into our home! Matt has been around for years and knows his stuff! Eric has the best smile! LaSalle also has the best resident events! Um, beer and cider tasting... Yes, please! All in all, we love it here and highly recommend! Thank you, LaSalle! You da best!
Worst place to live . No parking at all, mold everywhere.Dont even worry about cleaning when you move out they will still manage to change you regardless of how spotless you leave it !.They lost our lease agreement, glad we moved
I edited this review on 10/16/2019 to more accurately reflect my tenancy at the Pallas Apartments.I have been living at the Pallas Apartments for a little over a year. Overall, the apartment complex is very nice. The apartments themselves are remodeled frequently and have very attractive floor plans. The location is great, with lots of nice walking paths around and a Max stop essentially connected to the Apartments. Nike WHQ is across the street, so if youre looking at apartments after getting a job a Nike these apartments are a great option. There is a surprisingly well equipped gym, two outdoor pools/hot tubs (open year round), and a commons area to entertain guests. Theres also an Amazon package drop off area, which is pretty handy. The complex is always clean with lots of maintenance workers always buzzing around.I would have left a five star review if not for a rather absurd notice of entry I received. This notice was for an annual maintenance inspection and was placed on the door of every unit from what I could tell. The absurd part about this notice was that the Pallas Apartment staff reserved the right to enter our unit over a 7 day window. My girlfriend went into the office to request that we were given a specific day that our inspection will take place, she was told they will not be able to accommodate her request. After being informed of this I called the leasing office and was given the same answer, the person on the phone stated that there are 500 units at the apartment complex and they would be performing inspections all year if they scheduled appointments. After a fair bit of complaining, I was told our inspection was will most likely occur over a two day span. Luckily, the next time I called Greta answered the phone and she was very accommodating. For what it is worth, I will offer my advice to the Pallas Apartment staff. Divide the units into 7 groups and plan to inspect each of these groups on a different day. Post the notice on every units door with a one day window that you plan on entering the unit corresponding to the group that the unit falls into. While this may cause slightly more administrative work, it is well worth the effort to avoid making your tenants feel violated.
I am a resident here and am very frustrated regarding some dog owners. Recently i was walking outside and a pitbull wasnt on a leash and it came chargering at me. I called to office and Jessica told me that they are not allowed but basically all one would need to do is pay $100 online and register them as a emotional serice animal. She wouldnt do anything about it because i didnt know the owners name but could describe the dog. Every apartment ive lived in has a photo of the dogs on property for the protection of their residents. Something pallas lacks. Jessica seemed very uninterested and extremely inexperienced. Dont get me wrong, i love dogs, however when i moved in my neighbors told me that there has been dog attacks multiple times on the property, scares you. When the lease states you can only have 2 dogs in one appartment yet you see 3 to 4 dogs per appartment but again Jessica doesnt care.
Absolutely love this place! The staff totally cares about us. The Maintinance Manger Kollin’s attention to quality about the upkeep of the property is stellar.
I have lived at Pallas Apartments for over 16 years. The office &maintenance staff are one of the best! You can always count onyour request being handle promptly. Our Manager Dan Masonis one of the most caring mgrs I have ever dealt with. Hiscommunity & tenants are of his top priority and we feel like family.I cannot say enough for our fine maintenance crew... Kolin & Matt keep the place tip top and all the team is there to help each and every day. Even in an emergency you can always count on the team!Tenants stay at Pallas long term because we feel cared for andsafe in our surroundings. I hope to enjoy many more years atPallas Apartments...
We love living here! The actual unit is fantastic. Although the price is higher than we were accustomed, to its well worth it.The location is great too. We were already stoked about how close we were to the Max, but the AWESOME nearby coffee shop (Edge Coffee) and immense/gorgeous park (Tualatin Hills Nature Park) sealed the deal.As if wasnt enough, LaSalle sports two of the nicest pools Ive ever seen at an apartment complex. In general the grounds are very well taken care of.To summarize - give this place a shot, you wont regret it!
Horrible management. Do not live there. They are dishonest and just want to make money off you. They sent us to collections over carpet that was due to be replaced anyway, according to our lease agreement. After we have lived there 4 yrs and never missed a payment. Just look at how many 1 star reviews there are. Buyer beware.
Absolutely the WORST place to live. I would give it 0 stars if I could. We lived here for 2 years, and I can tell you the ENTIRE time they were just out for our money. Constantly getting charged for things we shouldnt have been charged for. The latest one being that we were charged for an extra week after our 30 day notice ended because we did not communicate with them that we had vacated the premises. What is the point of a 30 day notice then? They proceeded to e-mail us this a week after we moved out, so now we are paying over $400 for a week that we were no longer living there. Id say weve had to pay over a few grand over the duration of our stay here not including the rent. You have no privacy. If you live next door to somebody and arent as quiet as a mouse, you are going to piss all of your neighbors off and make enemies very quickly. You will also hear everything going on around you. And I mean EVERYTHING. Our next door neighbors loved to write nasty harassing notes and leave them on our front door for us. Nothing was done about this by the complex. Instead, the neighbors, who never came to us about complaints, went to management and got us kicked out over a lot of which were false statements, leaving us little to no time to pack up our belongings and find another place to live before we were homeless. I will say, ONE of the property managers was helpful in giving us proper time to move out. However, the ladies working in the office with the exception of one that weve worked with cooperatively, are rude and unwilling to help you in anyway. Ive always gotten an attitude from them when I came to them with any problems or had to talk to them in general. Good luck getting any sort of security deposit back when you move out, because its not going to happen. The apartments are VERY cheaply renovated, and they will dock you for a single scratch if they can and make sure you dont see a penny. We are going to be charged for things that we were told they were going to renovate anyways upon us moving out. Why are we paying to replace things when they are going to be replaced anyways? Maybe now I will have some money left in my bank. Move anywhere else before even considering living here, trust me. I wish I knew what I was getting myself into before I did.
I love Living here
Seriously the best rental experience I have ever had. After having multiple negative experiences in the past at other places, the crew at LaSalle raises the bar. Even when an unexpected issue arose with our move in, they were on it! They made sure my family was comfortable and well taken care of. From the ladies in the front office to the maintenance team, we have had a great experience here. Every time we walk in the office we are greeted with a warm welcome and they know our whole family by name. Thanks for all you guys do! Angela you have a great team!
Poor service
I lived here for 3 years the whole time they have been doing construction. Now they have basically no gym, the main pool looks like a bomb has gone off and the main gym is closed. They have no ETA when it will be open. The Main Gym, has always had half the machines broken and to small for the comlex. Now with the construction there is no parking if you get home after 7pm! People smoke cigarettes all over the parking lot. So you cant even go to your car without smelling like an ashtray. They raise your rent about 10% every year. This is by far the worse renting experience I have ever had. They never offer to clean your carpets or do any touch up paint for people who have lived here over a year!
Its old building like 1970s and renovation looks nice on pictures but the reality is different. they are old repainted. the door paint looks very old and dirty. if you go to their website, all of their pricing are garbage, 2 bedroom says 1678 but the reality its over 2000! it may looks there are many available but its not unless there is some racism going on! where if it was a white people looking then yes we have if it was other, then we have only one rent for 50000 dollars. it does happen in this country.
This place sucks! Terrible rude staff. No parking for guests. MOLD MOLD MOLD. Run away! So many nicer and newer places out there. Lived here for 3 years and broke my lease early due to how horrible this place is run and the construction workers starting projects way too early in the morning. Also the front desk never could resolve ANY issues. Only had a “sorry” which didn’t seem genuine. Only plus is it’s by the MAX, but there are MUCH BETTER places out there that are much newer!
I lived here for 4 years, and the office people were awesome the whole time. If I needed something fixed, the maintenance folks were usually out the same day, and my neighbors were generally great.
We have lived at this property for over two years. The reality is that, it was bought by a new company, and there is constant construction going on Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM. If you live here and they are working on your apartment, you are unable to park in your driveway during that time, and if you do, your car will be towed. There is not an end in sight, and according to the office and the foreman of the construction company, the construction will continue through the summer. While I understand the goal is to make the complex better, we wish we could get out of our lease, because its just hard to have constant construction workers, and loud noises around. Its not anyones fault, but if you are looking to move here, I would wait until after the remodel is done.
First of all they have had no real gym the whole time I moved in.They are re doing it as they say for the past year. They startedthe project without work permits and that they say was the delay.Construction has not stopped in the 3 years of living hear, noise, they already have not enough parking and now with the constructionit is impossible. The construction also will make your car always dirty. This place does not care about their tenants clearly.
My family moved here yesterday, and within an hour of being there our vehicle was towed by Titan Towing. This appears, from other reviews, to be a pervasive and ongoing issue. The parking policy is not readily apparent. After talking with a representative in their office, apparently a guest pass is required to park and residents are supposed to be aware of this. As a non-resident, reading their signage, I was apparently uninformed of the parking situation and am out $330 as a result. With commitment to new and more explicit signage, I would be inclined to improve my rating.
0 star if I could. This place is garbage. I pay 1,895 for my cheaply renovated apartment here, in which grows mold and almost everything breaks down the first time you use it. Prepare to find absolutely no parking after 6 or 7 pm. And also, prepare to get towed at some point during the duration of your lease. There are so many nicer places, with management that actually cares about their tenants. Please don’t fall into the trap of thinking these are going to be nice and “luxurious” apartments (that is the last thing they are). And last but not least, the walls are paper thin so except to hear every conversation your neighbors have.
If money isnt your first concern, then this place is good. My only complaint is that the (previous) owners brought me in with a really low rate and the increased it approximately 10% each year. I live check to check, so that hurts. Came in around $890 and now Im at $1,180. Been there three years.Other than that, the facilities are clean and have recently been painted. The neighbors are quality. Its great to be next to the max tracks, especially if you want to go downtown. If you have dogs, theres a big field next to the complex where they can run.
OK so I love the area and staff. I have lived here for about 5yrs now, the reason is because of the location, but the rent is pretty pricey and the only problem I have is that I dont get the updated appliances because I would have to move to one thats updated I just think is stupid. If you are looking for a nice quite location and the max close I think its worth it.
I think it is ridiculous how the management says they have a all 24 hour fitness center while the other one is being remolded. First of all thereis two treadmills in there one that faces a window so you cant watch tv.And an elliptical machine. That is it. Yes. If three people are in thereyou will not be able to do anything. Yes no weights of any kind? And they call this a gym. It is a ballet room. I have lived in a 20 unitapartment complex that had double the machines and weights. Also the regurlar gym they had all the machines where broken but two. There is no way in the size it is that it will be much better. They havebeen working on it for 3 months almost with no progress. They have the worst construction crew I have ever seen in my life.Next Parking is ridiculous. With the construction you will not beable to find parking if you get home after 6pm. There is a problemwith people smoking cigarettes outside your windows so you cannot ever have your window open if you leave or your apartment willsmell like smoke! Also they raise your rent way too much and willnot negotiate with you, they will take 10 dollars off the 200 dollarincrease. They will not clean your carpets or do anything for peoplelike me who have lived here for many years. I have problems liftingor I would move. I will as soon as I can get my people to help me.But please these things management can not sweep underthe rug!
This used to be a great community, Ive lived here for 2 1/2 years and now that the new management has taken over i cant wait til my lease is up to get out!!! Theyve decided to change policies and only give you a months notice... bad new management company... i do not recommend living here!!
RUN AWAY. Apartments themselves are decent; not luxury like it says. The people in the office are generally nice and have no problems with them. But the parking can be terrible and I had lived there for two years, paid nearly $42,000 for our 3BR 3BA unit and am now being over charged over $150 for them to do touch up paint repairs. I have contested the charge and they are saying it took 6 hours of labor and 5 gallons of paint to do. I call BS. 5 gallons of paint covers roughly 1500 square feet on a very low estimate and the photos they provided to show where they painted might estimate up to 250 square feet on the high side. Absolutely ridiculous. And dont even get me started on the 6 hours of labor. I read some of these reviews before signing two years ago, but thought it would never happen to me...I have never had an issue on move out before, so why would it be any different here? Dont make the same mistake I did. Sign a lease elsewhere and save yourself the hassle.
The desk staff is great, I see a lot of the negative reviews here and I just have to say all of the ladies Ive met with have been nothing but helpful, courteous and respectful. In fact, they go out of their way to make sure you have what you need. For example, one night I knew I wasnt going to make it in time to get a parking pass and they made sure to leave one under the mat so my guest could stay. Also, the grounds are very clean! You cant beat the location and the apartment itself is decent (outdated appliances though). I believe right now there is a mass renovation going on, so a revamp is imminent. My complaint likely is management related, I echo the sentiments of the other residents that the towing practices here are ridiculous. With no clear signage someone new to the complex would never know about the aggressive towing, my car was towed once and I have known people who leave their car for an hour and have it towed as well. I think its saying there is a problem when arriving at Titan Towing all five people there were from our complex. Additionally, the fitness center is outdated with old (broken) equipment & tvs. While Ive been here the construction has been an annoyance with loud noises and debris all over the place for the last four months or so, it would be great if the construction crew could clean up the broken glass and what not as it is a hazard. To sum it up:Staff: Excellent, five-starsApartments: Decent, four-starsGrounds: Clean and well maintained, five-stars overall, points lost for heavy construction and debris caused by the construction teams three-starsManagement: obviously ignoring a large issue with the towing and I have heard they are unresponsive to resident complaints, three starsOverall 3-stars
I love the apt and place. I stayed there for about 10 months. Both move in and move out were fantastic. Ill stay there again if got a chance.
Weve lived here for 3 years and we really enjoy it. The office staff is always friendly and helpful and the maintenance crew is knowledgeable and courteous. property is usually well groomed. A lot of people dont clean up after their pets, though and parking is a nightmare; the towing practices seem predatory. Id still recommend La Salle over some of the other comparable complexes around. Its close to the MAX, fairly quiet and safe.
This place sucks, it has signs all around the outside saying LaSalle Luxury Apartments. What a huge joke. Firstly, my townhouse had an attached garage and the entry way leading into my house was facing my neighbors. I had to climb through a bush for the first 4 months of my lease before some idiot maintenance guys decided to cut half of it down, insted of actually fixing it. The appliances are all worn out and junk, my microwave doesnt ever had a turntable in it. How disgustingly cheap. The fixtures in the walls arent nailed to any studs, just these butterfly like screws. Theres water damage from the previous owners from place sealant around the washing machine and shower. Also, majority of the patios dont have awnings and theres not an option of putting one up says the management. So now theres a puddle of nasty black mold in the corner about a foot long and 8 inches wide. Stay away from here unless you want to n pay luxury pieces for a run down apartment
We chose this place because the rent wasnt terribly high, but its higher then it should be for a unit that hasnt been remodeled since the early 90s. The finishes and fixtures are all old, old, old. The walls are extremely thin, there seems to be little to zero insulation driving our heating bill through the roof. Speaking of the heat, the heaters are all baseboard or wall heaters in each room. There is a separate thermostat for every, individual room. Good luck on keeping your power bill manageable with these outdated units and extremely poor insulation. The thermostats look to be a model straight out of the 60s with no way to program them. Youre constantly turning it up, down, off and back on again. It gets old fast. Appliances are also ancient and small. We have the smallest apartment sized refrigerator that Ive ever seen. Aside from all of this what irks me the most is we were shown an apartment that was the same floor plan as ours but the unit was updated, nice, new, wider blinds, counters and counter tops, appliances the works. However, we were not able to see our exact unit prior to signing the lease because it was occupied. We were assured the unit we were moving into would be exactly the same. Boy, was that an outright lie! And before I forget, they dont keep any model units that can be toured. If the floor plan isnt available you have to make a decision based on what you see on paper. Do your self a favor and look elsewhere. There are many, many properties elsewhere that are significantly nicer then these places for the same price. I wish I had checked the review for this place before we moved in. My mistake, but one well rectify at the end of our lease which cant come soon enough.Oh, I almost forgot. The dog park that is on property. They use that as a selling point to potential tenants that have pets. It sounds great, a place to let your dog off leash and let it run right? Think again. The lava rock they used in place of grass or other ground cover is not pet friendly. Its too rough and sharp to be comfortable for your dog. But thats not the worst part. The worst part is, if you happen to live anywhere near the dog park be prepared to hear dogs barking constantly at peak walking hours, afternoons for sure but the evenings are the worst! Think 4-5 alpha dogs constantly barking at each other and every blowing leaf and it sounds like your living in the middle of kennel. Its SO LOUD! Ive already said we plan to move at the end of our lease for the reasons listed above, but even if these were the best and lowest priced apartments in town wed still move just to get away from the barking dogs. It was probably a good idea in theory, but they didnt consider how loud it would be for tenants living near it. Its the worst!
My daughter and son-in-law just got a place there 2 months ago awesome
1 star is giving to the new kitchen, and new bedroom. I had a relatively bad experience since I signed the lease. The staff give me the wrong lease instead of one bedroom apartment, she gives me a one bedroom townhouse, and at the day of moving in I have to sign the paperwork all over again, and contact the insurance company to change the address. This process is quite long, and the staff there is not nice at all, she refuse to give me the key because she said the insurance havent update yet, and it is not my problem to mess up the lease, and had insurance agent to re-write everything. Then, I ask for put my name on wait list for assign car spot, a moths later I was checking in with them, they said I had never put on the list, I am so upset about this. I moved in on September, and it is almost December, I still didnt hear back from them, while I saw a lot of people moving out, dont know why it took so long for a car spot.Speaking of car spot, the parking here is extremely difficult, if your work done after 6 dont live here, because you will never find a parking space when you get home. I usually park all the way back to the trimet parking lot, sometime I cant even find one in the trimet parking lot. Apparently they give too many guest parking permit, I literally saw some cars with guest parking permit parking in front of the building FOREVER!! Clearly a lot of people dont pay the application fee, so the office wont give them the regular permit, but the management is so dumb, and hand out way too much guest permit, so some people are taking advantage of this. They need to fix this, I am so tired of finding parking space for 20 mins.
We chose La Salle for two reasons: its proximity to the Max Station and Amy’s professionalism when showing us around. The nature park next door is a huge plus too. We really like our renovated unit but it’s not really any different from others in the area (eg. Victory Flats and Center Pointe) and the rent is higher. I’m not really sure why we’re paying more considering:-Parking is unavailable;-There are no sidewalks (which is especially dangerous considering the lack of parking);-Tenets drive recklessly (which isn’t the complex’s fault but (a) speed bumps are inexpensive and (b) the lack of sidewalks amplifies the risk factor);-The lackluster gym consists of two or three treadmills;-A single amenity key is provided to tenets;-Rent checks must be dropped off in person, which is difficult for people who leave work before 10am and whose commute has them return after 6pm;-They and/or their partners (with whom they must share tenets’ info?) bombard residents with survey solicitations on weekends to take surveys. I mean it—we got calls for weeks after moving in from different third-party companies. In short, we enjoy the unit and really like Cody from the maintenance team. We also appreciate how quick the leasing office is to answer the phone. 🙂 The complex has some work to do however, especially regarding parking.
Moving here was one of the worst decisions I have made Im my life. The office staff are incompetent and wait till the last moment to notify you of anything and do not care if they are screwing up your rental history. Do not move here.
Ive lived here for over a year & have enjoyed it for the most part. I frequently have to go to the office & have always found the staff to be friendly & very helpful - never have had a bad experience. In addition, the maintenance crew has always been prompt & diligent in completing their work. Josh just replaced my sink - he was fast & competent. The construction is a problem - my unit has been affected for 3 months. Some units had their porches stripped of fencing, boarded & not finished for 2 months while others were finished in a month. It seems inconsistent. It will look very nice once its completed.
Thanks, Lasalle,Towed my vehicle because I was borrowing a friends as mine was in a shop for a day. Really love that $350 fine. 😡
LaSalle oh what can I say, if you like living in a place where your stove has a mind of its own, no parking, vulture tow trucks and an over pried apartment then you found the right place. lve lived here for almost 3 years sadly and still do (i know right) I have had to pay for towing 2 times, I cant find parking so I have to risk parking at the max station since I work the graveyard shift and everyone is still sleeping when I get home. Making food is a challenge everyday because I cant leave the stove for one second because it will burn my food. ive already had to replace my pans because of this when I reached out about this they just sent someone out to check out the stove and said it was fine but obviously wasnt or i wouldnt be complaining. I would seriously stay away from this place they truly dont care about their residents. if you go to their website it paints a different picture but thats all lies take it from an actual resident this place is horrible and you can see from the reviews.
My apartments are better then yours! Just signed another lease here at LaSalle... just cant get enough! Two pools, workout room, outside bbqs and firepits! The friendly knowledgable staff has been right there for us since day one(especially Olivia she our fav!) The pools are heated year round and of course have a hot tub right next to each of them. The units are clean and well maintained and dont have the noise problems like other apartment complexs Ive lived in. If you havent scheduled a tour yet I would get on it!
This apartment complex sucks. The girls at the front desk are so unhelpful. Ive live here for 6 months and had my car towed twice because they dont have enough parking spaces. So then you are forced to park on the street or at the Tri Met station. Which has led to two tows and now $600 later. When asked if they could help with talking to the tow company, her response was, they just tow what they want and thats that. How do you even hirer a towing company (TITAN TOWING) that has the freedom of sketchy tow truck drivers towing cars.
Ive lived here for five years, so mind you that is a lot of time to have experiences, both good and bad. Ive definitely lived worse places. The in-unit washer and dryer and max access are great. Some of the updated units look absolutely lovely. The community is nice, well maintained, and the property just underwent a massive renovation so the buildings are in good condition (aside for some un-repaired construction damage here and there). Over the years the demographics of people who live here have changed but they tend to be young families with children (so if youre not fond of children...) The secure access building I lived in, though not pretty in the lobby and hallways, has its own conveniences like covered parking and a garbage chute. Some units are much nicer than others though, and you have to pay a lot for one that isnt run down. The main complaint I have is that getting the staff to do pretty much anything about any problem that cant be solved with a bandaid has been a horrific experience. One year I had a couple with a baby living below me that would have loud, violent fights and you could hear the domestic abuse through the walls. It took the office nearly an entire year to take my complaints seriously. The police were finally called at one point. It was a nightmare. I couldnt sleep for months with all the noise and even paid to sleep in a hotel a couple nights because I was so exhausted and upset. Another time I had a very serious plumbing issue in my kitchen that caused my entire apartment to stink of sewage. Every time I called maintenance about it, they wouldnt so much as look at my sink, telling me that nothing could be done or that there was no problem. It took another three months of calling them and trying to get them to do something before I finally escalated it to the property manager. THEN rather than hire a plumber they had a random handyman come and saw off the pipe in my sink and low and behold there was a very bad backup of black sludge in my pipes. For the cost of living in these fancy units youd think theyd work a little bit harder to make it pleasant to live in them, but they really dont care unless you harass them endlessly about issues and make it their problem that you have a problem. You cant rely on the office for anything and youre better off trying to fix stuff in the apartment yourself. Pretty negligent people. The location is also not my favorite. The flip side to the train access and proximity to the nature park is that you have constant noise late into the night from not only the trains but people in the parking lot, cars, motorcycles, etc. You get to hear drunks yelling from the max stop at midnight. There is also an overwhelming number of flies that swarm into the apartments at all times during the year which I assume is because its right near the creek. We had to tape up our windows and never open them to keep them out. Living here is not as luxurious as the price would suggest. No central air, the windows arent insulated (I think they might not even be double pane) and there are so many enormous windows in every unit that trying to keep the place warm in the winter is impossible. You see residents all over the property taping cardboard up to try to keep the heat in. They allow residents to smoke on their balconies and people definitely smoke pot inside their units which makes the hallways and elevator wreak. I might be spoiled coming from out of state but Ive paid a lot less for much nicer apartments with better amenities and more support from staff. But again Ive also lived in worse places, especially in the Portland area. If you can afford the huge price tag expect something meh at best. There are so many brand new buildings going up in the area that youre probably better off getting a nice new unit there and just driving to do park and ride instead of needing the train right in your back yard.
The place looks nice from outside, but thats where it stops. The place has molds and my apartment always smells even after a thorough cleaning. This never happened before. When your lease is up,they increase the rent by about $65 which is insane. They take advantage of the fact that its hard to move. In fact, their renewal letter says so! My friends who live in Center Pointe, the apartments right across had their rent raised by only $26 for the same amount of space, and their apartment is updated!! If you want to pay $1300 for 2B/2BA look for Victory flats, Element170 which are new and Wayyy better. Parking is pathetic. They must have about 50 spots for 200 homes and when you complain, they ask you to buy a parking space! Eventually you are forced to pay more for peace of mind! Run from here and find nicer places nearby. We renewed our lease this time as we just dont have the time to pack and move but definitely not again!
Just now undergoing a full renovation inside and out including new roof new patio decks and a pretty landscaped gazebo picnic /bbq area
So far great. Perfect for dog lovers. Walking distance to MAX, parks and some restaurants. Main negatives are inefficient parking and high rent.
Do not move in here. Its all peaches and cream when you first see the apartment. Once you move in, its crap. Dryer takes 2 cycles to dry clothes. We asked them to look at it, to possibly replace and they said to put less clothes in.Walls are paper thin. You can hear everything that goes on on the other sides of any walls. Neighbors were blasting music past midnight, we had to call security to come. I even went down there one night and asked them to turn it down. They did, yet they still continue to blast it through the night. We emailed the office and they never even responded back. Find somewhere else before thinking about this place. Rent was decent and my commute was great. I have a few co workers who live here as well and they hate it just as much as I do. Living here sucks, I cant wait for my lease to end.
OLD VERSION (5 Months Ago):Ive been here for a little over a month and so far the experience has been great. The complex is located in a very convenient area (right next to a MAX stop and quick drive to the city center) and the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. We have a townhouse with its own parking and the construction has only affected us only mildly, so no real complaints there. The maintenance crew is also quite impressive; we had a problem with one of our windows on the first day, went in and put in a request and it was fixed first thing the following morning. The two pools and gyms, the great staff, as well as the friendly atmosphere, are making our experience a blast! We also really loved working with Olivia in the front office. Shes been friendly, kind and helpful from the day we toured and is a great example of the kind of service you can expect from the front office. Overall very happy with La Salle and looking forward to the rest of the summer!UPDATE 1/1/18:So, not going to lie, may have jumped the gun on this one. Quite a few of the positives still apply, such as: the staff is still really nice, the location is still really convenient, and the maintenance crew has an incredible turnaround time. However there are a few things that have shown up since my review that have marred our experience, mostly with construction. Firstly, the walls of the apartments are very thin, not so thin that you can plainly hear every conversation but TVs have become a new part our our ambient soundscape. This wouldnt be too bad, however there is another flaw with the walls that is much worse: the insulation. Essential, there isnt any. At least, thats what if feels like. Often we wear three layers and blankets to keep our heating bill out of the $200 plus range now that winter has come. Also, parking can be a pain when it gets past around 5 PM on the weekdays and sometimes earlier on weekends if you dont have your own space or have multiple vehicles. However, the biggest problem is the construction. We lost our deckduring the beginning of August and the pool and gym near our house was shut down shortly there after. However, we were not told that the construction would happen to the pool or to our building, including our deck (the office did give us a break on rent to compensate for them not informing us). The crew boarded up our sliding door, tore down the railings and left it for two months; during this time they did nothing to it. After almost another month my roommate complained for the deck to be finished and finally, after asking two more times and another week and a half, it was finished. This is a pattern for most of the construction. For many of the projects we are not given a lot of notice. Sometimes we are given notice a week ahead, sometimes the day of, sometimes after its already done, and quite a few times we werent given notice at all. Even recently there were a couple of times when I would look out and see a man in a hard hat climbing our deck. A lot of the construction is done in a way that is truly the most inconvenient for residents, is done at a snails pace, is illogical in its planning and haphazard in its execution. Im sure when all of the construction is done, the people who will live here will really enjoy it, however as of now for the people who live here, it is not the most ideal.
If you love hearing barking dogs all day and into the evening then youve found the right place. Please stay with me as I am indeed reviewing LaSalle Apartments. My fiancé and I have lived here for about 2 months and were already losing our minds over the constant barking. Mind you, the owners of these dogs are nearby and do absolutely nothing to quiet their dogs, these pet owners clearly have zero respect for the people that have to live near the dog park. Management is clearly aware of this problem and does nothing about it. I have emailed them on 3 occasions and they havent even so much as replied. When the inevitable happens and one of these dogs kills or injures another dog, or someones dog bites a person whos also using the park, management will finally be forced to do something. Theyve provided the place for this to happen, and it will happen, its only a matter of time. Ive suggested they set hours for the dog park to be open, 8am-6pm which would at least help alleviate the problem of being woken up in the wee hours of the morning and would allow a person who has to get to bed early a chance at falling asleep before 9pm and still...nothing. You probably came here to read a review about the actual apartments right? I just told you the one and most important piece of information you need. If you value a quiet, peaceful, respectful community with responsive management then keep looking because you wont find that here.Update re: managers replyI’m not sure why no one saw our emails but it’s good to know that mgmt is reading google reviews. We are encouraged by your response noting that you will be posting hours for the dog park and locking it in an effort to keep people from using it when it’s supposed to be closed. To date, there are still no signs limiting access to reasonable hours or no signs of it being locked at any time. We can only hope, along with our neighbors in the vicinity (ear shot) that this something that be happening ASAP. All rental leases have a stipulation that residents have a right to ‘quiet enjoyment’ of their dwelling. That has not been the case for any of us adjacent or even near the dog park.
Pros:Walking distance to TrimetFriendly and helpful staffsCons:Dirty:Fresh dogs WASTES left in front of your door EVERY SINGLE morning, I bought a sign says Thanks for cleaning up, but was STOLE just in an hour.Noisy:The entire apartment has been refurbished for about one year, and there is no sign of stoping.Pricy:Apparently the refurbish need money, the price goes UP for almost 20%.
I got an apartment for a temporary assignment in OR and have lived here for a month La Salle has been a decent place to live. Location is excellent because its right next to a small mall, movie theater, and on the Max Beaverton creek stop. Cons are that it is expensive.Maintenance has been quick to respond and effective.Management is friendly, but have to be prodded to get all the paperwork set up. Actually getting the lease signed and correct fees/paperwork took far too much effort.
DONT DO IT! Save yourselves! Seriously... this place lied about LITERLLY EVERYTHING... 1)construction is almost done... lie, I have woken up to men in my window for “construction reasons” 2) pools are open year round and heated!.... LIE one pool has been under remodel for moooonths now and the other one is closed because “we didn’t know we had to have a permit”.... it’s 90 degrees cureently and I’m paying out the ass for “luxury apartments”...With no promised pools 3) fitness center is huge and going to be done soon... LIE, been here 9 months and the only “fitness center” has 2 sketchy and old weight centers and 1 good elliptical 1 good treadmill and 1 old treadmill... no really... that’s it! They should just be paying for my gym membership.. I had an issue once and it took 3 times to try and get it fixed... the 2nd guy said he thinks he might have found the problem but it entailed going up in the attic and he “didn’t want to do that” so he left and made the 3rd guy come do it, I had to cancel plans and wait for hours for all 3 times. The office is incredibly rude! Every single one of them flips the biggest attitude when you have a concern. To be fair there is one lady that is very nice and she will do what she can but the rest... have fun with them, they don’t care at all. They have literally rolled their eyes at me 😂 they’re 30 and older it seems and they rolled their eyes at a resident! Come on now..ALSO.... you better like walking and riding bikes... because you sure aren’t Parking a car here... of you don’t get back by 4 -5 ya latest you will have nooooo luck finding a parking spot. It doesn’t help that they are always blocking spots for construction supplies.
This was single handedly the worst rental experience my partner and I have EVER HAD. The staff was unhelpful, rude, incompetent, and unprofessional. So glad we moved out, Id advise any and all to spare themselves. Do yourself a life favor and dont move here or trust the manager, shes a bald face liar.
I lived at LaSalle for a few years, looking back I dont know why I tolerated them for so long. Our rent increased by over 100$/mo each year. Here are the highlights of my experience:The parking is horrible, if you are not parked by 7:00PM you are out of luck. On multiple occasions I drove the entire parking lot not finding a single spot and had to resort to parking in the Max parking lot which is adjacent to the complex. Technically not allowed, but the transit police that warned me a couple of times were very reasonable. They will take all of your refundable deposit. I have known many people who have lived here over the years and the one thing that is consistent is they will find reasons to take all of your refundable deposit and sometimes sending you a bill for even more! Charging a flat $175 cleaning fee regardless of how well you clean, $150 for carpet etc. etc. It feels very aggressive and predatory.Their maintenance staff is very fast but the solutions never seem to last very long. Many times having to contact maintenance for the same problem every couple of months. We had a couple problems with our appliances, including the refrigerator door not sealing, repair person came and basically said that it is to be expected and there was nothing he could do about it...The office staff is friendly as long as you are doing something mundane such as paying rent or picking up a package. The facade quickly goes away if you are disputing a charge or something of that nature.Garbage is ALWAYS over flowing and disgusting next to the dumpsters. Obvious to anyone that they need additional dumpsters to support the amount of people living in the complex.
Super great location especially if you are a Nike employee. Lots of construction right now though.
Wont even try to rent here as the person who answered the phone (Xavier), was not knowledgeable on fair housing LAWS and standards and became argumentative when I clarified them for him. Really excellent first impression!
Evil Empire. This place was sold for $112MM recently. The new owners immediately gouged their residents by restructuring the way the utilities were billed and everyone got a $300 dollar bill with no explanation. Typical callous corporate people mill. The neighbors are ok, and the place is clean and safe, but who wants to make a jerk rich. Part of the problem, not the solution.
Lived here for 6 years from 2008-2014. The place was built in the late 90s and the interior/exterior shows it. Theres nothing wrong with that, I actually liked the all white/gray interiors as I didnt own any brown furniture, so it was nice to live in a place that wasnt all brown and felt like a smoker lived there previously.I rented a 3-story townhome in the back along the MAX lot. Initially it was very quite, I had nice older neighbors. Eventually younger folks moved in and eventually groups of college students and living here sucked when they were up all night yelling, pounding, and doing drugs on the patio.Great location in central Beaverton and on the MAX line. My spouse took the car (which we parked in our garage) and I took the MAX. I think one aspect renters overlook is this proximity; this complex is intended for more mass transit use and less car use. It would be nice if those relying on cars moved to apartments a bit further away from the MAX as this is essentially the closest you can get to a station. But mindfulness in this country doesnt exist anymore....its all me, me, me....The front office people were mostly always helpful; no complaints and the maintenance was also friendly, fast, and efficient. During my stay here, management changed (~2011) and the new owners werent as nice. They didnt care about the noise or the drugs or the random cars being abandoned in the MAX lot. They also started increasing rents like crazy. I started paying $1,300 for one of the 3-bedroom, 1,359 sq ft units and when I left, that unit rented for almost $2,000; friggin insane. Now my mortgage on a brand new house is only $948, so you can suck it!The gyms were decent and I used them often. Never used the pools. The nearby nature park and trails were great for going running and biking and I miss that.Looks like this place sold again and Ive drove by and see lots of construction...good luck!Overall, I liked the place originally in 2008, but by 2014 I wanted nothing to do with living here.
The main reason I am not giving this complex a 1-Star review is due two two things; the location and partially the staff. (I lived here for 3 years) - their new website is horribly misleading to everyone. Beaverton looks nothing like what theyre advertising. You cannot beat this location if you are wanting to live in the Beaverton area. You are located next to a running trail and the MAX station (~3-4min walk). The staff is REALLY hit or miss. I enjoyed Liz the most. The rest of the staff would always give empty promises and the past managements manager lied to my face. They are very responsive and will give you an answer ASAP, but the problem is that each staff member will give you conflicting information. One member will say its done like A B C. The other staff member on the same problem will say its A C D. Try to stick to one member and keep record of what they say, as someone will always backtrack and change what was initially said.Speaking of management, it has switched to Holland Mgmt. They are currently remodeling the entire complex (its huge, over 20+ buildings). You can get an older unit for an okay price or a remodeled unit for a crazy high price.I used to enjoy their gyms but they are outdated now and in need of some maintenance. The pools/hot tubs are great year-round. They are especially great when it snows and you get pretend to be a Japanese snow monkey in a hot tub, would recommend. All in all, I would like to recommend this apartment complex but its confusing, semi-out of date, and difficult receive a clear and concise answer on more complex issues. From my experience I have learned that we need to document everything mentioned and said with follow up e-mails to the staff for confirmation, ensure that everyone has a couple extra guest parking passes, and be as patient as possible because you will run into issues.OH! The maintenance staff are fast and great! Would recommend all of them.
Very nice place, I have lived in #615 for a over a year, it was a couple years ago. I love it... but it is expensive though
Crazy price increases every year. Not worth it
Overall not a bad apartment complex but when it comes to parking, this complex is one if the worst. Also the apartments are outdated inside with the outside being some what updated now. For the price look across the street or some others instead.Update..even the so called and its only a exterior update the complex is still outdated inside the apartments. Outdated old appliances, if you live in the building with open garage below your apartment the smell of mold and mildew comes through into the apartment leaving you with a sour smell all the time. Again do not let the new management fool you into believing the so called renovation will do anything to change what still needs to be addressed inside and the horrible parking. The owners are only out for the money and not to improve anything.
The apartment is at a very convenient and secure location. I have lived here for few years and traveled a lot. The office staffs are very friendly and helpful. The maintainers are fast and professional. However, this luxury apartment is built with very cheap materials. Once, in a raining day the water poured into my apartment, though, my unit is even not on the top level. The in-home appliances are in poor quality, probably the cheapest hardwares you can buy in HomeDepot stores. They call LaSalle LUXERY apartment, so they can charge high-rents.
I lived in La Salle apartments for six months. The apartments are old and outdated. My apartment was full of bugs through the whole summer! Worst of all is the staff who works at the leasing office. When I first moved in, they told me to give them a notice if I want to renew my lease so they dont put my apartment on their website. I spent the six months, and within my last 30-45 days I went to the leasing office to ask about he exact day that I should give them back my keys on( it was obvious that I wasnt renewing my contract, right?) anyway after I moved out I get a call from them saying that they will charge me 1600$ dollars for not giving a notice for leaving! Well, I thought I was supposed to give you a notice if I wanted to renew and not leave! When I called they told me that this was my reponsibility! Moreover, I paid a 1000 dollars deposit when I first moved in and I moved out four months ago and I didnt get my deposit money back! And they told me that I wouldnt get anything back because I didnt give them a notice of leave..IWOUDLNT RECCOMEND THEM TO ANYONE BY ALL MEANS!Dont even think about moving to these apartments!
I have been living here for almost 3 weeks now. I love my little apt with so many windows. I rarely hear my neighbors, though I am in a corner unit. The grounds are clean and well kept. It is quiet here with the exception of the construction. The construction to me, is a good sign that Holland Partner Group is looking to take care of the units and upgrade them. Everyone I have talked to loves it here. The lovely ladies in the office are always smiling and ready to help you.The maintenance staff has been very helpful and willing. There is a 220 acre Nature Park less than half a mile away with 5+ miles of trails you can walk/run. Parking can be an issue, you can always get a carport which guarantees your spot for an extra fee. Plus I just recieved an email stating that HPG has secured 41 more parking spaces in the TriMet lot. Yep, TriMet is right behind the complex so if you use public transportation, you’re in luck. I did my research before coming here and La Salle was first on my list and I really didn’t expect to find my home on the first try. I did check out 6 other places and La Salle had what I wanted best.Things are never perfect, but I feel like they are here. I feel at home here. Safe. Thank you Kylie for helping me find my home. I am happy to be here.
Only been here about 2 Weeks, so far its been ok. Seems like prices have went down since last reviews. We are only paying $1105 for a three level 2bdr, 2 bath with a garage (1259 sq. ft.), and that price includes $40 for pet rent (2 animals) & $10 for garbage
Honestly if you are apartment shopping right now I would suggest not even coming to look at La Salle. From the website and the prices you think you are moving into a really great apartment complex. But in reality you are not. The apartments are old and not built well. They have “new” appliances but in reality they are the cheapest ones they can put in. Don’t even bother trying to call the office for help they never even answer. And when you do almost every time you call they will say “well I am not sure I haven’t been in the office”. They are very disorganized, lose packages and then don’t even apologize when it was their fault, there is always a line at the office to get packages or talk to a office person. Honestly the list could go on and on. Even moving out as been a pain. You have to schedule a “pre-move out” walk through, of course it is Tuesday thru Friday 8am to 4pm only. Honestly I would suggest paying a little more and finding somewhere else to live. It is not worth the money at ALL!
We have lived here for a couple months and we love it here.
