I lived here for a full year and really didn’t have many problems. I moved in July 2020 and my unit was like brand new. All the appliances looked incredible and everything worked perfectly. I didn’t have to submit ANY work requests upon move in. Because my move in went smoothly, I never really had to deal with anyone at the office or the maintenance team the whole year I was here. The grounds of this complex is beautiful and really well kept. I never got the chance to use any of the amenities due to Covid…I do wish they could’ve altered the rent because of that. The only issue I really had here was parking. There is not enough parking here. I rented a carport, and sometimes I would come home at night to someone else parked in my spot that I paid for. Super frustrating and at the time they didn’t have a tow company I could call and get it handled. That happened probably 10+ times in my year living here. I honestly would’ve renewed my lease if I could, but they wanted to raise my rent about +$120 a month.
I posted a couple weeks ago about the absolutely horrible customer service from Mr. Chan, the property manager for Redwood Creek, but that issue was resolved in a timely manner by the corporate office for Tandem. This review is about the maintenance crew and specifically the maintenance manager, James. James has been absolutely amazing when it comes to helping out with the original problems in our new apartment. He has gone above and beyond our expectations to make sure that the problems we had were taken care of in record time, going out of his way to make sure that our apartment is in basically brand new condition. He runs a tight ship in the maintenance department with a solid group of guys and is the main reason we will be staying at this property. Thank you James for being an outstanding human being and working with us on a human level, not like we are just another tenant who you want out of your hair, we appreciate it!
I lived here for a year, and I couldnt wait to get out. I will list pros/cons:Pros:Food trucks were great!Work requests were quickly taken care of.Outside landscaping looks great.Cons:The trash compactors were frequently full, and residents would leave their garbage bags laying outside constantly. Same with the recycling. The windows are terrible! Even though we ran the heater in the colder months, our apartment WOULD NOT STAY WARM!!!Residents would park in the walkways next to our apartment. If you rely on using a wheelchair or walker, dont bother living here! My boyfriend and I e-mailed the front office multiple times, letting them know the walkway was blocked by cars. I finally heard back once and they said maintenance would take care of the issue. THIS WAS A LIE. They needed to paint lines in the walkway for everyone to know it was not a parking spot. When we moved out, they nickel and dimed us everyway they could. They charged us $10 fee for the freezer (it looked clean in the pictures!), and a $25 dollar microwave cleaning fee (again, the microwave looked incredibly clean!). After going back and forth, they did take off the microwave cleaning fee.Overall, I wouldnt suggest living here unless youre looking for a cheap place to live. Dont count on hearing back from the front office with any issues unless you press them multiple times. Cars would get broken into here too. Garbage piles up because there arent enough trash compactors, drafty windows, the list goes on.It appears some people had no problems with this place, but based on my experience, I wouldnt come back here, and I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone either.
The manager of this property, Mr. Chan, is horrible at his job. Customer service is non existent, communication doesn’t happen from Mr. Chan, he doesn’t have answers for any questions asked of him, and he won’t take responsibility for his own or his employees neglect of duty. Don’t expect them to help you with anything. They think apologizes and prayers will solve your problems. When you move in the apartments are not ready as described and you will be charged the same price as if you were moving into a clean and complete apartment. Then when the problems are brought to their attention they will take weeks to repair them, but charge you extra fees if you move out and don’t clean the dishwasher. How does one clean a dishwasher? Not even Mr. Chan knows. Im regretting staying in this complex and would avoid them at all costs. We had no stove for days after moving in and when I brought up that we had to eat out because of this issue, which some people may not have been able to do, he responded with “Your meals are not our issue.”.
Just moved in and so far we love it. We downsized from a house to a 2 bed apartment, first floor. The move in process was easy, using online payments for rent makes life more simple.Maintenance staff are extremely responsive and wear masks when in the home. We had a few issues crop up (dishwasher was loud and not cleaning well and needed a heater vent cover replaced) both were done very timely. The grounds are clean and quiet.Yes we hear our upstairs neighbor but it’s nothing terrible and to be expected when living in a complex.Out of all the places my husband and I have lived (apartments) this has to be the best so far.Highly recommend for price, size, quality and service.
These areas are not existent on the property. This is false advertising. Also I went over to my friends apartment with her and she went to check in with the leasing office and they had a sign that said out for lunch. We checked back in 3 times 2 hours later and no one would ever help her or even seemed to be around. None of the amenities are open. Not even the out door ones. We understand this is a pandemic but even the our door spaces where there could be social distancing they wont open. They wont set up any kind of reservation system to use the gym. Then we went to find this open seating space and it truly is non existent yet they advertise it as an accessible amenity. Please reach out through this review if this space is real because we clearly couldnt find it when we toured the entire complex.
Extremely dissatisfied. We live in the apartments now. They are so disorganized and nonresponsive when it comes to going the extra mile for the residents who live here. I lost a package that was checked into the parcel pending and parcel pending has asked them to physically do an audit of all boxes. I have emailed them multiple times in regards to this. They will not physically audit there system for my package and give me a response. They just look up in the system to see if the package was assigned to my name and call it good. I work in property management so I know there is a way they can select all with the parcel pending boxes through the admin code and for some reason they will just not do it. Its as simple as pressing a button and looking with their eyes to make sure no technically error has happened. I ordered $100 worth of product and I just wanted reassurance it isnt just sitting in one of there lockers but they cant do that. Its extremely frustrating that they wont help me with such a simple thing. Also the gym/pool/ and all amenities have not been open the entire time we have lived here. They dont even offer 1 house hold at a time to be able to rent out an hour. The two things I can speak positive on is the maintenance staff is super on top of things, they get work orders done super fast(there were wasp nests in the parking lot when I moved in and they took care of them right away after reporting being stung by 4 at once on a run lapping the complex)(they removed our closet doors into storage for us while we live here) and the units them self are really spacious for the price, everything is for the most part new. Dont expect any sort of exceeded customer service from their in house leasing office employees by any means. Hope this gives people some insight on what its like to live at redwood creek. You definitely get what you pay for, and a little less with the customer service.Update: After writing this review I was emailed that this issue has been looked into. I appreciated the response and the package being missing is not the apartment complexs fault but the customer service I received in regards to helping with the problem seemed to be poor. Also just know you as a resident contact the carrier they say it is parcel pendings issue if your package goes missing because they delivered it there and if you contact parcel pending they say its the carriers liability because they were suppose to deliverer it to the right parcel. So either way I dont get refunded the $100 product by either and my package is just in limbo and I cant win. This entire situation would have been easier to deal with if Redwood Creek would have helped me thoroughly from the start.UPDATE: 6/3/21 Still would not recommend. They have taken no steps to open the fitness center. They have not opened the pool. Ive contacted them a handful of times to get our renewal paper work going cause our lease ends half way through June.. They still have not got us the paper work. We have given them everything they need at this point. Including updated renters insurance which is the reason why they delayed us asking last month for our renewal paper work. So just remember if you rent here you will get no use of your amenities, even the out door ones, you will not get communicated with in a timely manner and they will not treat you like you matter individually.
Ive been living here for a full year now, the apartments themselves are nice. When we moved into our unit it was brand new. Pros: Good location, well kept grounds, new units, responsive office staff. Cons: There is a slight draft in the winter (could be from the laundry vents or bathroom vent, couldnt pin-point it), and MOST IMPORTANTLY the ceiling/floor separation between the ground and top units is like PAPER THIN. Heavens help you if a family with a toddler moves in upstairs from you. In an entire year havent heard any of the surrounding neighbors, but you know what I have heard? Every baby stomp and chair pull. I imagine it wouldnt be so bad if you choose to rent a 2nd floor unit. Just something to consider.Edit-- I watched a groundskeeper (leaf blowing my patio area) knock over one of my plants and then just walk away. He seemed to be unaware that I was literally 5 feet away from him inside...
My apartment is beautiful and they gave me an excellent deal. The facilities are all new as well as the appliances and it just has a very comforting atmosphere. Kayla my leasing agent was very helpful, professional and kinda fine. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an apartment until you find the home for you.
Great experience so far moving into our apartment. Kayla from the leasing office is fantastic—incredibly responsive, competent and so so helpful with getting us into the layout we wanted. We couldn’t be more satisfied on a customer service front. The apartment itself is exactly what my fiancée and I were looking for and the location is prime.
Ill be really honest, we moved in at the start of their remodel and scored a great price for our one bedroom + loft. While there was a lot of noise and some disruptions that happened the first year being here (please note, our leasing agent was very clear from the get go about the remodel so nothing was ever a surprise or inconvenience for us). Things seem to have settled and we are seeing the property blossom. I love the location. Neighbors are friendly. The staff is very responsive and helpful with anything you might need from leasing questions to maintenance requests, everything is handled in a timely manner. Thank you guys for everything you do!
Overall after living here a year I’ve had a great experience. Staff has been great to work with; maintenance and ground upkeep are very good. I would highly recommend. This year there were very helpful with COVID-19 assistance. I don’t know if they raise the 10% max on rental agreements for renewals. They didn’t this year due to COVID-19; but let’s see what they so with rent increase next year.
I think this is the best apartment complex Ive lived in. The renovation turned out great - I live on the 2nd floor with the vaulted ceilings. The online portal for rent payments is confusing but Im actually pretty happy here.
Maintenance is always responsive and on top of things! James is amazing I had issue with our sink and he came and fixed it right away + our microwave was acting funky and he assured me hell get it done with new microwave less tan 24hr he got it done! thank you James!
I love my newly renovated apartment! Everything is so beautiful! Hard wood floors, walk in closet, Stainless steel appliances, huge washer and dryer! Great customer service also there is a hot tub and pool! Management and Maintenance always response very quickly! James is the best! Always kind, fast, and reliable! Thank goodness for a good team!
Ive been living here for 6 months with my girlfriend, and its just okay. The grounds really arent move-in ready due to all the construction, as youll probably see if you tour the place.Pros: Close to things (work, shops, restaurants), nice loft style apartment layout, new appliances, responsive maintenance crew and management.Cons: Tons of construction (Its all we hear all day long, even weekends sometimes. There is foot deep muddy trench that runs along the side of our sidewalk with cracked pipe sticking out of it that has been there since we moved in), small carport spaces, carports and mailboxes are not lit at night (some carports are lit, and ours was when we moved in but its since gone dark), no facilities to speak of because its all being remodeled
The maintenance crew is spot on. Friendly, helpful, courteous, very prompt. Cant say enough about James and his crew. Theyve impressed me several times with promises kept and jobs well done. Very impressive group.
Lived here for 4 months and Ive had to kill more spiders in those 4 months than in my entire lifetime. Terrible. Not to mention the flying insects Ive had the horrible pleasure of dealing with. If you have a phobia of spiders that is as bad as mine, you should reconsider these apartments for this reason solely. It really is that bad.
Not responsive at all. The staff has blocked my emails from coming in when asking about work orders. They let packages go missing all the time. They will email me about needing to add charges to my account.
James the maintenance manager is extremely attentive and ensures all repairs are done in a timely manner. In addition, he repairs them right the first time in order to minimize the tenant inconvenience. He is very friendly and professional.
Love living here! Dont listen to any negative reviews before September 19 as they were renovating all the apartments and that never goes smoothly for any agency.I am super picky about where I live and I feel really lucky to have gotten an apartment in this great location. I looked at 9 different apartment complexes in Beaverton and this was the best hands-down. It has a wonderful atmosphere and you can tell that management puts a lot of effort into maintaining the grounds (the trees are amazing) and the new apartments are just fabulous.Marni and the management team are great! I feel cared for but not smothered, they strike the perfect balance. I will likely be spending my whole grad degree here, 4+ years.
Wont respond to me about changing car spaces.
I was one of the last in the pre-renovated apartments. It was cheap to live there, staff were helpful and present, and the complex is conveniently located by the bus and on Hall. I would give 4.5 stars if I could, as there was a lot of construction at the time and it was an older apartment but I guess that wont be a problem for new residents anyway.
My family and I are so excited about the new renovations that have been in progress here at Redwood Creek. We have been fortunate enough to have lived at 2 other Tandem Property sights and have always had a very good experience within there community. They have actually finished a model unit and have it ready to view at Redwood Creek and we simply cannot wait to schedule an appointment and walk through as this location is perfect for work, shopping, eating out.....everything that our daily needs require. We have actually taken the time to meet several members of the staff and they have all been so helpful and kind. In short...this will be home as soon as we can get our affairs setteled...SO EXCITED !!!
When my wife and I first moved in the walls were freshly painted and the carpet was new. Management was very kind, informative, and answered any or concerns professionally and quickly. Every time I submitted a work order, it was completed within a 24 hour period, no matter how non-urgent it was. My wife and I were very satisfied with Redwood Creek and the management of the property.
I am looking for a new place to call home. I went to Commons at Redwood Creek and the property was beautiful especially with all the trees and leaves falling. It makes it look more like fall! The staff there was very nice and informative. The only downfall is i am not looking to move until January but Commons at Redwood Creek is definitely at the top of my list!
Staff people are helpful when I request assistance. The maintenance here is prompt and immediate with requests that I have. I thank maintenance for the nice bathroom floor they put in, and a nice ceiling fan.. They have done a lot of nice things for me and I thank them so very much. The grounds are really nice and I enjoy the pond area with the ducks. I enjoy recording of scenic videos of the ducks and pond areas. Carlee, Braunwen, Chelsea, and Brittany have all been nice and helpful to things I need to get done. I recommend this as a good place to live
Upon first moving into the commons at Redwood Creek. there were a couple maintenance issues. We went down to the office to inform them of these issues and not only were they fixed for free. They were fixed the next day. wonderful apartments. Nothing to really complain about. overall my roommate and I have been very satisfied with our lively-hoods while staying here. thick walls, its like we dont even have neighbors. I highly recommend:)
I live in this complex for over 2 months. Ive never seen such a nice quiet place to live before. I like the employee service. They are so friendly and they help me if I need any help. The landscape is nice. The trees and grass is kept up and there are squirrels and ducks by the ponds. I lived in Missouri and Nevada but those place show me the paradise of Oregon. I recommend these apartments. For me this is a very good location in Beaverton close to the park. If you have any questions, you can stop by the complex and talk with the manager Chelsea and her assistant Carlee.
Nothing but good things to say about our time here! The staff in the leasing office went above and beyond to help accommodate our move from out of state. They were responsive and helpful through the entire process. The grounds and landscaping are very well kept. Hot tub was clean and open for hours that fit with a work schedule! Trash and recycling areas were always clean. There is access to many miles of public trail systems right across the street, and the entire complex always felt like a safe place to be living.
This place sucks. They close the laundromat without a warning, and the next closest building has a total of 7 washing machines. All seven are loaded, but theyve all run up their clocks. I waited in there for nearly an hour before someone moved their clothes. All of the other reasons people have given are valid too.
Someone must have paid for the last two reviews. We lived here for four years. Redwood Creek consistently fails to deliver on promisesto improve the complex. We will not recommend this as a place to live to anyone.$20.00 monthly parking fees, for new renters - the office told us current residents we would not be charged. We were unable to renew our lease without agreeing to pay the parking fee. Other fee and rental increases, unfinished, or incomplete construction projects, lighting and flooding problems, and walkways that have been torn up and not replaced make it nearly impossible to access the mailboxes, main laundry room, and several other areas. Broken, damaged, and dangerous equipment in the exercise room, and ongoing excuses or empty promises that things are goingto be fixed. We decided to find another safer apartment, without all the police visits to the neighbors with the large and threatening pit bulls, loud music, pot smoke, andstrange people coming and going all day and night long, unsafe and dangerousconstruction, and congested parking issues - oh and all the people who speed through the complex at about 35 miles per hour. My daughter has nearly been hitby fast drivers several times, trying to come home from school - always when she tries to walk up the driveways. We wait for her bus now, and walk her home.
I notice the management is only responding to the good reviews. Why not take some initiative and hold yourselves with some accountability about the apparent and repeated numerous problems mentioned by. Numerous current and past tenants? Why are you ( management) ignoring all of them. If they were unhappy enough to write a review you should take respond. . And recognize tenant issues and problems. Within the community This indicates that mngmnt is unresponsive to tenant problems and complaint. Unresponsive is not a good sign.
I have lived in these apartments for over a year now. They are well managed and the staff are super sweet and helpful. I have a downstairs 2 bedroom and its absolutely huge. They are well kept and the neighbors tend to keep to themselves which I love :)
Fantastic place to call home, I moved here about 6 months ago and it has been fantastic, I work from home so I see / experience / enjoy the complex a lot. I was worried moving into a bigger complex like this, however all the worries were for nothing. The management here has been amazing, they have addressed any maintenance issue I have had very swiftly, I might just have a optimum spot but I hardly ever hear any other tenants. I came from a fourplex and I always heard people so this has been awesome. I am hoping to be able to stay for a long time, this place maybe should want to call home. They keep this place very clean and green like it should be in Oregon. My covered parking spots costs are incredibly reasonable. If you are looking around for a place to live in this area, you owe it to yourself to stop by and check out the Commons are Redwood creek, soon they might just be called Home to you
Lived here under a year. Carpets we trashed when we moved in. Tried to arrange call with property manager after we left. They just took our whole deposit and sent us to collections to replace the apparently new carpet. Absolutely make sure they do a walk-through with you if you move in, you have to ask.
I have lived in these apartments for 8 months. About a month ago the apartments were bought out by New Management. Which was a total loss for the image of this place. The people in the office have bad attitudes (Carly is the worst, the other one is Chelsea but I could be wrong on that name) and do not have any clue what they are doing! There is a lack of communication or lack of training in this office of new people because I have been given wrong information. They come off as rude and inconsiderate with a hint of Im better than you vibe! They dont care about what you have to say! Sense they took over I have dealt with many issues. First, I have been kept up on numerous nights from people being loud from partying. This happens at least 3 times a week now which never happened before the new management. Needless to say I have a daughter who wakes up do to screaming of all sorts from these parties. Secondly,The maintenance around here is no longer kept up. There is more trash starting to pile up outside. The maintenance guys that I do see around here, every once in a blue moon, are standing around talking, walking aimlessly, or on there cell phones. Thirdly, the laundry room closest to the office smells like smoke when I take my daughter there she has to stand outside because she is allergic to the smell which is completely unacceptable! It seems as if they are just letting anyone move in here. The pool area, especially the jacuzzi, is constantly filled with over 6 people drinking and doing god only knows what else in there. Good luck trying to find parking on the weekend. Its impossible with all the parties. Unfortunately for me, I no longer enjoy living here. Thanks Redwood Creek!
As with many others, lease terminated (and whats funny is that if they had asked me about an increase, Id have paid) by the new owners (Tandem Property Management). Management entering my apartment without notification (ahem, not only wrong, but ILLEGAL). A random bill stating that I owe several months of past due utilities (I pay what is on the bill. Indeed, I typically pay an extra couple of bucks). The new managers refuse to provide a bill (Just log in to the website! Yeah, not with the terrible security they have where all tenant information is not secured). Even a refusal to provide a copy of my lease.Tuesday morning, there was enough garbage outside the garbage bins to fill up a couple more dumpsters. Probably from all the people being forced to scramble or be homeless.Im guessing by writing this, finding a new apartment will lease to an extremely poor recommendation when a prospective new landlord is found.
Overall a nice place, never had any problems with anyone or the staff. The ants are an issue. Hopefully the remodel does something about it?
We moved to redwood creek apartments from the east side of Portland. We couldnt be happier here. The landscape crew is diligent in their work and make sure the grounds are tidy and clean every week. Theres not huge amounts of dog poop everywhere like my last place you couldnt walk in the yard without stepping on. The neighbors I have are friendly nice and quiet unlike my last place where people were getting shot and arrested and yelling at night and having wild parties. Theres no yappy or aggressive dogs here either so thats a plus. All around for the price and the location and the well kept grounds I couldnt be happier. We will stay here as long as the price stays reasonable.
When it was Glenbrook it was good, but its been steadily going downhill since then. The new ownership feels no loyalty to those that have lived there for years. I moved out because in the past 2-3 years since they took over my rent had been raised over 4 times what it was raised in the previous 6 years. Seriously do yourself a favor and buy a house. It may even cost less than this place in a couple of years. Its expensive you have to pay for parking if you want a concerted space and there arent enough uncovered spaces for all residents. No trash near you, you have to go to the trash compactor which is a walk for everyone. Handicap access is almost non existent. Its just not with it people.
Maintenance usually resolves your requests within 2 days, depending on how you rate the priority of it online. Very nice surroundings, lots of trees and pretty spacious garages available to rent for $100. Rent alittle overpriced, but is overall a satisfactory experience.
The apartment I moved into had fleas at first, but the staff were really on top of it. The staff were always polite and helpful, and the fleas were unbearable for a short time but not their fault. It was a pleasure to live here. They were flexible, pleasant, and responsive to maintenance requests.
I just wanted to say how nice and professional the girls in the office are...Nick rocks too you should keep him around...they have always been pleasant and excellent to work with whenever an issue or whatever may arise...and may I say very lovely girls too...Chelsea has it together and has a very pleasant manner about her...little Carles is my favorite...she is a breath of fresh air to be certain...so keep up the good work girls and those whom I neglected to mention and to whomever it may concern give those girls a raise and have a Merry Christmas...Happy Holidays...Ken Tierney
Edit: After posting this review and reaching out directly to Tandem Property Management they waived the lease breaking fee. I greatly appreciate them doing that but it doesnt change my opinion. I shouldnt have had to write a review and leave them an upset voicemail to get this fixed.Original Review: We were recently forced to move out of this complex due to a change in ownership. The new ownership advised us that they were not doing leases anymore but switching to a month to month system instead. Along with this our monthly rent would have gone up by $300+ per month. This rent increase is not something that we could afford so we (along with many current residents) are being forced to move. Apparently all you need to do to raise the rent by a ridiculous amount is add the term luxury to the description. I say this because the units have not been remodeled or renovated in any way to justify such an increase. But as much as all of this sucks it is what they are trying to do to us now that prompted me to write this review. The manager of the property (Chelsea something something) is trying to charge us a lease breaking fee for turning in our keys 1 day prior to our official move out date. Never mind we had already paid our rent through the end of our lease. Never mind the fact that we were not told we would be charged a fee for turning the keys in a day early. We decided to turn the keys in a day early because we were moving over the weekend (like most people) but the manager that is required to do our walkthrough doesnt work weekends. My wife had finished cleaning the unit on Saturday and our last day was a Sunday. They also warned us against turning them in a day late because we would definitely be charged for that. So that we wouldnt have to return to the complex on Sunday to turn in the key and then go back Monday for the walkthrough my wife simply asked if she could turn in the keys before she left Saturday. They said yes, thats no problem without ever telling us that would be considered breaking our lease. If we had known at the time we would have simply gone out of our way to turn them in on the exact date.I dont know if this is just how Tandem does business or if it is a case of an overzealous, rogue manager bitterly trying to milk every penny she can from departing residents but i can guarantee we will never rent from a tandem managed property again.
I have lived @ Redwood Creek for about 6 months and my experience has been great. The complex is spacious and filled with beautiful nature! All of the neighbors are very friendly. The staff in the office and maintenance has been nothing but kind and extremely helpful. The location is wonderful for being in beaverton, super close to the mall, grocery store, gas station, fast food and anything else you may need. There is a huge awesome park just a couple blocks up the street as well. I would highly recommend this complex to anybody who is looking to be on the outskirts of portland.
Every issue was handled promptly and professionally by redwood staff, especially Marnie and Ajan. Respect to the redwood team I have enjoyed my 6 month stay here the neighborhood is pretty wholesome. Everywhere I’ve stayed there’s always salty ppl on reviews I rly don’t understand. 5 stars
I first moved into the complex back in October 2012. Since then, they have change names/management and I will tell you...Head and Shoulders above the previous company who managed it. I had no intentions of signing a new lease, but once I met the new staff and began to see improvements being made IMMEDIATELY, it was a no brainer. The rent is very fair, the staff in the front office are absolutely AMAZING, the maintainence crew know how to handle business and although they have been remodeling for a little longer than I would prefer, the place is looking very, very sharp. Even the crews they hire to work around the complex are very professional, I saw the painters wrapping plastic around peoples belongings as they were painting the exterior of the house. Its tough to find good help like that. The surrounding neighborhood is a very safe and clean area, the neighbors in the complex are very respectful (Im actually fortunate enough to say that I have gained a few friends), never hear or see police responding to any negativity. I have and will continue to refer friends/family to live here and I very much look forward to seeing the final product after remodeling. And unless something seriously drastic happens I will certainly be renewing ANOTHER lease!!! Keep up the good work REDWOOD CREEK!!!
His apartment is just the worst.1. After the end of my 11 month lease they increased my rent from $960 to $1300 for a month to month lease with no option of signing a yearly lease.2. Also, the place to throw trash is so far, I had to take the trash in my car to throw it away.3. The complex has just 3 laundry sites which has very few machines for such a big community, I had to always wait to do my laundry.4. The managing agency has the rudest staff.5. The amenities complex that they show closes at 6 pm, there is no ways a normal office going person would be able to use it.6. It is a very badly maintained community, you will find pet carp all over the place.
The management and maintenance at this place are a joke. Over priced for the hole of an apartment you rent, laundry facilities are broken and disgusting. Construction crew currently remodeling is responsible for theft, vandalism to property and cars, theft of residents vehicles and much more. All around a horrible experience living here.
The staff and maintenance is very friendly and helpful:) Great place to live!!
This place is great if you enjoy things like leaf blowing at 9am and your laundry still being wet when you take it out of the dryer
The grounds are very nice, always clean. The management team is super friendly and helpful, great attitudes!
I have lived at Redwood Creek for almost a year and it has been a nightmare! Management only cares about filling apartments and not about the people moving into them.I have dealt with a aggressive and abusive downstairs neighbor from day one with no concern from the management. I have had to call the police because of her attacking my fiancé along with multiple calls about slamming doors and walls just from daily activitys (doing dishes during the day, walking, siting, taking a bath). The only reply we get if we get anything is we can move you at the end of the lease. My 6 year old daughter is scared to go outside because of the mean lady. My fiancé is on medication due to stress from this and all we get from management is we can move you at the end of the lease. After moving and signing a lease we are told that they have had issues with her being abusive to neighbors! WHY MOVE US IN WITH OUT TELLING US TO BEFORE HAND!They are constantly doing construction on the outside of the buildings paint and what not. But they do not fix things like getting light on the paths, stopping the paths from flooding or other more important and safety related projects that should be top of the list.the only good thing I have to say about this place is the maintenance team has been amazing and fast at fixing any issues we have. I will not be staying here with my family due to management and now health issues that this place has caused from the abuse from our neighbor.
We have lived here for the past year. Its an average apartment at a decent price. The Good1. Nice grounds. Well kept grass and flower beds and attractive water features. Old trees are nice too.2. Relatively cheap.3. Nice looking exterior.4. Overall quiet. Upstairs neighbors get a little much but no different than other places Ive lived.5. New management company seems to be making an effort at improving the property i.e. replacing siding, faucets, repaving parking lot6. Parking is average. Tougher later in the evening but not the worst Ive seen. The Bad1. The unit they showed us was NOT the unit we ended up in. It was not the model apartment either. It just wasnt the same. Had one less bathroom and a different kitchen, substantially older looking appliances.2. Cabinets in kitchen SUCK. Like, the worst. Basically painted boards screwed to hinges, wont stay shut, one actually fell off.3. A lot of fees added on for W/D rent and utilities so pay attention when they are quoting your rent. About $100 higher than the quoted rent.4. Pool, hot tub, and gym kind of suck. I havent been to the lower one but the main one by the rental office is not very nice. Dirty pool, sucky hot tub, and cramped gym space.Basically, you get what you pay for. Its average.
Great for relaxing...by the pools, in the jacuzzi, by the duckpond, or in your private patio! Nice paths to walk your dog without leaving the premises!
We loved it here when we moved in two years ago. Until we noticed it was always cold and draft. Poor insulation. Outdated appliances. You can hear every step and noise from the neighbors, every time they shut a cupboard, every time they flush a toilet (if you live on the bottom floor), and every time they run the garbage disposal. Ants were starting to come in through the cracks between the window and frames and sliding glass door. But it wasnt until now that Im writing a review because out of nowhere, they posted a no cause eviction notice onto our door. And the notice wasnt even signed or dated by the management. Which shows they dont even know what they are doing. When going up there to get an answer as to why we are being evicted, under no cause, one woman couldnt even get a sentence out she was uhm uhm uhm until the other piped up with oh we dont have to have a cause. Not to mention they posted an inspection notice a couple days prior to this and the inspector came in like 4 feet, looked around and said oh wrong unit.We are guessing we got the eviction notice because we are locked into our rent price we moved into two years ago at $1050 while new tenants are moving in at $1400 for the same floorplan unit we occupy. 2 bed 2 bath. Unless our unit is renovated, we stay at $1050. Well, their renovations I guess arent going fast enough and we showed no signs of moving so they can get new tenants to pay a higher price. Only a guess as to why. Otherwise there should be no reason to kick us out as we have had no complaints. Oh well, moving on. Good riddance. This place is NOT worth the $1400 they are charging new tenants or even the $1050 they were charging us. Sure the outside looks nice. But the inside....good luck to the new tenants. Two stars because the outside looks nice.
I love this apartment, this is my first apartment in U.S. It is clean and quiet, they also held the fall resident celebration with great pie and pizza
When we first moved into this complex it was under different management, and called Glenbrook. Since then they have been taken over by new management and changed the name to Redwood Creek. They have gone about attempting improve the property, while neglecting basic things for the safety of residents. In one day I found six nails on the ground in the pool area and flower beds, where children and dogs walk barefoot. The lights in the main driveway, that is full of potholes, have been out for almost three months now. I personally have tripped three different times and had to catch myself on my partner. The pool is murky and full of hair, I found broken glass in the hot tub, and rather than fix the broken sidewalks inside the complex, the sidewalk they chose to fix was the one OUTSIDE of the facility. And now, they are replacing the roof on my building, a process in which right after cleaning my carpets on my own, they knocked my chimney off the pipe connected to the ceiling and has spread ash and coal over the entire fireplace area. When I tried to contact them to get the issue resolved they said I either had to come in or fill out a work order online, being at work I tried to do so online. The information given to me was incorrect and I was unable to fill out said work order, when I called back the office was closed, and I transferred to the emergency maintenance line. This being the logical place to get the information to fill out a work order, but alas logic eludes these people and the person did not have the information to give me. So after all this the question stands, will I be renewing my lease? I say this very emphatically NO! Nor do I recommend this place to my friends any longer, what started off nice and tolerable turned into ridiculous and not worth the increased cost.
I am relocating to Oregon and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The windowss are so thin that all the hot air leaks out and it has baseboard heating. The construction wakes you up at 8 am and is loud, they did not bother to tell me what day they were coming and left rotten boards on my patio. The equipment in the excercise room does not work. It is a roof over your head but I will be excited when my lease is up!
This place is a nightmare. There is constant construction going on. The walls have no insulation so you can hear car doors slamming and people talking outside your window. (I dont know why they have the bedrooms by the parking lot)...The staff is rude (except for stephanie). No one picks up the dog crap so it smells everywhere. Many people smoke cigarettes so that smell flows into your window. The other day we saw DEA agents arrest a guy in the parking lot with handguns drawn. (I had to hide behind a car with my groceries.) Its terrible to take your dogs out because of the massive amount of people and dogs everywhere. (some off leash and some pitbulls that act crazy) And to top it all off my girlfriend found a used syringe outside my door. Horrible.
We moved into a loft floorplan here about eight months ago. We loved our apartment and neighbors and proximity to everything, but about two months ago they began the remodeling process here and have been slowly kicking people out or moving them into the floorplan in a different location on the property. There was no warning of this when we moved in 6 months ago or prior to the eviction notice. They also kept our previous deposits and asked for more deposits on the new apartment they were forcing us into- totaling almost $4000 in deposits for both homes. The woman told us that if you stayed with the complex, you would eventually get all of your deposit back because they were gutting the apartments, but if you chose to move out, they would take out all damages from yoir deposit even though they were still gutting them!! The new apartment they moved us into began leaking almost immediately on move in and within a week, all of the ceilings were molded. It is hard to imagine that they were not aware of this problem, as someone was living in that apartment until a week before we moved in. They moved us into yet another apartment without a single apology or offer to help. When I brought my moving bill ($700) to the manager, he rudely told me I should have asked before I moved and when I asked why HE did not say anything (as I had been in multiple times), he said that it was not his job to offer, but MY job to ask! Very rude and very unprofessional about the entire thing, telling me to go ahead and begin court proceedings! We have also had multiple problems with parking spots, as many people have mentioned. The office has adopted a plaquered system to keep track of parking, except everytime you try to get one, they will just print off a label to cover the number of another plaque because they can never find the spot you need. They have either given my spot away or given me someone elses spot SIX times. I have had to walk my toddler up hills in the pouring rain because they have given away a parking spot that I paid for.We have also had laundry stolen from the on site facility near the office- would NOT RECOMMEND using their laundry facilities. All in all, the grounds and apartments look OKAY, but the office staff is incompetent at best and all the mainteance does is loudly blow the same wet leaves around everyday at 8 am, waking everyone up. They are the cheapest apartments in Portland and great if you are young and just need a place you dont care about, but you do get what you pay for!
I lived there for a year. When I inquired about a contract and asked for all the fees I was given one quote. When the time came for us to sign they added several fees that were not disclosed. We were told that the apartments and the grounds were just about to have a major update. I was there most of the year and the updates were just beginning. My apartment looked old and worn out. The kitchen cabinets are particle boards that have been chipped and damaged and painted over so many times I personally felt like I was in a welfare housing place. I had bugs crawling in my food. Daily my dogs water dish had bugs floating in it. The grounds where I lived was just dirt. Yes they are now repainting and making improvements but I paid premium rent for sub grade apartments for a whole year. When winter came we got hit with a very bad ice storm. They did nothing to de-ice our steps. When I approached them on this they were very unconcerned and stated all we had to do was call and ask to have our steps done. it should have been done as a safety concern. I am not a smoker. I ended up renting a upstairs apartment over people that smoked inside their apartment all night and my place was filled with smoke smell. When my contract was about to expire I was issued a renewal notice of the rates if I decided to continue or month to month. If I opted to go to the month to month my 800.00ish rent would turn to 1,600.00ish rent. I then review my contract and saw that they stated in the contract that it should only have been 100.00. I am concern for the others that might have fallen for the same mistake. The only thing I liked was the great smile from the maintenance boss. and the last employee that closed my account. She was real and pleasant. I do not and cannot recommend this place. It appears as if they just want to take your money and give nothing back.
I hear its nice place I wana move there...
When I moved here a year ago the place was Glenbrooke apartments and it was great, granted the apartments were old but well kept. Since then it changed names and management. With the new management came a loss of our paid water/sewer/garbage/cable and came a increase in the rent plus charges for the utilities (making more then $150 raise in rent). The new management is a joke and so is the maintenance. Twice I have had water coming from my drug cabinet (I live on the bottom floor) to which they told me they could not find a problem. When I called the 24hr emergency number they told me to call the office in the morning. The office people do not communicate between each other and you will get completely different answers from each person depending on who is working. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone now that Riverstone has taken over, and with that I will never rent from a Riverstone owned property. (Also watch out for the homeless digging through trash and every once in a while bathing in the hot tub at night)
The company had this meeting tonight tring to explain what they wer gonna do for us bcause of the construction. Some loudmouth kept asking why they were going to remodel the recreation area when there arent any lights on the walking paths and the paths keep flooding, n kept getting answers like, bcause we didnt know about it, and we will notify the owners tomorrow.Folks theze managrz r a joke. Keep saying how they wanna fix things up, but dont ever talk to the peeps who liv here. We just wanna b safe walkin here n not start falling after dark cause theyzz too cheep to cough up any answerz.N they never did talk bout the all the extra costz piling up on us here.Dont nvr think o movin in hear - thez peeps r a bunch o liars!!!!!!!
This place really use to be a great place to live when it was Glenbrook Apartments. Since the new management took over they fired all of the staff and brought on a whole new team. The new people in the rental office will smile to your face the first time you meet them, however, dont be fooled. They are very rude individuals (especially the dark haired lady, Sarah) and will do anything to charge you extra.I pay 80$ for water sewer garbage service on top of my rent. I dont even have the ability to pay the utility company directly I am required to pay my utilities to the management. I have 1 shower, 1 toilet, and the garbage is 1/4 mile away.I pay $90+ for electric in the summer and had $180 electric bills in the winter. The windows are very outdated and its impossible to heat your apartment using the outdated heating systems which are currently installed.Having an emergency? So you call there after hours phone line and reach a call center that has no clue about whats going on at the apartments. They just advise you that youll need to wait until the office opens again. For instance, my neighbors sink broke. They were able to turn of the source of water, but the company would not come out to help clean up the mess or help fix the sink. They were required to wait till the next office hours to even file a maintenance request to have a functional sink again. One of my neighbors reported a very foul smell at her apartment. After weeks of her complaints the company finally decided to check on it. Turned out a man had passed away in his unit with the heat on. She was not compensated at all, but was allowed to move to a different unit.Accidentally park in the wrong spot? Yah well rather than give you some notice to move your car they call the towing company. The towing company Titan Towing takes your car from Tigard/Beaverton to a shady location out in Aloha. After 3 hours of them holding your car hostage you can pay $350 to get your car back.Enjoy having mass amounts of ants in your complex? This is the place for you!Love having your garbage sorted through by homeless people? Move in today!Enjoy getting 24hour notices every time they decided they want to go in your apartment to update something? You have to be at work and cant be around to make sure the low wage workers arent stealing your stuff? TOO BAD!Enjoy surprise charges and constant construction? Youve found home, Welcome to Redwood Creek Apartments.
This place sucks my mom lived there for 4 years and since they changed owners once again they are giving people 60 day no cause to get out and only going month to month and every time you went to renew your lease the rent went up
Terrible maintenance and the people in the office just dont care. If you ask to have something repaired they either tell you theyre temps so they cant do anything or they pretend to send someone who never shows. Very poor quality apartments, single pane uninsulated windows and the kitchen cupboards look like a small child made them. I just wish I could post zero stars.
The staff in the leasing office is awesome.
A year ago, I would have rated this a three star experience, but the new owner is mismanaging the living daylights out of this place. The staff has at least doubled - probably tripled. One of the new hires hit on me last time I stopped by the office. Another of the hires spread gossip about another employee. These are major lapses in professionalism. There are less lamp posts now than when I moved in. Consequently, there is less light at night, and it feels creepy going out after sundown. This will be worse when the sun is going down before supper. The new owner has decreased the water pressure. The central laundry room has been shut down. The staff have entered rooms without notice or authority.During the winter, you will have to walk through puddles to get to your apartment. The walks have horrible runoff.During the summer, you will have to walk through sprinklers if youre out between 9pm and midnight. Theyre too stingy to run the water in the heat of the day, and I can understand that, but a good compromise would be to do it at two in the morning when nobody is out and about. Another solution would be to rig the sprinklers so that theyre not spraying people on the walk. The gym that we are paying for is no longer open from 7am to 10pm. It is only open during business hours. For those of us who work regular hours, it is accessible weekends only. The club house now shuts down after regular business hours as well, which locks tenants out from using the club house and the pool table we are paying hard-earned money to use.The pool is not kept clean. Even with goggles on, you cannot see two feet in front of you.To add insult to injury, after screwing over all of the tenants here with horrible service and unconscionable disloyalty, theyve decided to raise the rates. For the single bedroom apartments, the rate has increased by $178. A one bedroom apartment is not worth $1000 - especially not these dumpy ones. I could be paying a lower monthly mortgage on a three bedroom, $200,000 home down the street. The only bright spot in the last couple months has been the great number of parking spots that have opened up with everyone moving out.TL;DR:The new owner is stingy. He is cutting every corner he can to cut costs. To top it off, hes charging an arm and a leg to live here. Save yourself the trouble. Its not worth it.
I lived here from 2016-2018My maintenance orders were always taken care of and the office always answered any questions I had.
They keep calling my mom about wanting more money from us.
A lot of issues with this place, very dated. Poor up keep
Nice people, not worth the price
Tried to scam us by leasing a unit which we would have to vacate in 2-3 months.
Nice apartments!
Does no repairs
Nice😍
