In love with my Easter nails! Everything was super clean and only a 3$ charge to get 5 different colors! I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment time and they were able to sit me down basically right away!

Never had my nails done professionally before so I didnt really know what to ask for so I just said acrylics and showed them a picture of the coffin shape nails I found online and choose the colors.I apologize greatly to the workers that I had a hard time understanding them but they were incredibly kind and patient through it helping me.Will definitely be going back again! Just received a gel pedicure. The overall pedicure came out great and his attention to detail on nail polish being perfect and cuticles being trimmed was spot on. However, the salon was very busy (maybe because of the upcoming holiday??) I had made an appointment. It just didn’t feel welcoming to be there. I felt like I was an inconvenience. I had to ask my technician if he was going to include soaking my feet with the pedicure. I think he was so focused on getting the gel off my toe nails. Again, the end product was great…. Delivery was a bit cold. Also, he and other staff were going over cash tips during my pedicure. That’s a little rude in my opinion. You don’t count your $$ in front of customers.Lastly, when I paid and left a tip with card he questioned what I left. Again… not something you do with a customer. I am from out of town so glad I won’t have to come back.

Great 1st time experience. I got a pedicure and he was amazing. It was clean and relaxing. Definitely recommend and Ill b back for sure.

They were fast, kind, well priced and did good work. Had the technicians been at all engaging with the customers, rather than each other, I would have rated them five stars. FYI take cash or your ATM card. ATM inside business. I only had a credit card and they made an exception. The lady at the front desk was excellent.

I made an appointment at 1:30 and arrived on time. My husband came with me and sat with me in the waiting area. They rather rudely told him he couldnt sit in the waiting area and that he needed to leave. There was plenty of seating and no social distancing measures were in place in the salon so Im not sure why? At 2:15 I was still waiting and asked if I could soak off my dipping powder while I waited to save time. I was told they dont do that!? I had to soak off at home before I came in?? I told the lady on the phone when I made the appointment that I had dipping powder on and she never informed me of this. Ive been getting my nails done evey two weeks for 10 plus years and its a service every nail salon Ive entered offers. Craziest thing I ever heard. I live out of state and Im here for a wedding but Im pretty sure by the looks of the salon they over booked and didnt want to take that time on me. I went down to Beautiful Nails at 166 Center Street and they were great. I dont understand why the number one nail salon in Bangor, ME doesnt offer nail removal. Big waste of time.

Probably the worst salon ive ever been to. I wanted to have a pedicure for prom and I was going to try to fit in a manicure. The lady at the front desk had us choose our colors and sat us down (which was fine) Me and my sister came from 30 minutes away on our day off and we waited about 45 minutes with an appointment for them to even start. After those 45 minutes they only worked on my sisters pedicure, and then helped another lady who didnt have an appointment, before they had even helped me. I waited a total of an hour and a half before even being helped. I had no time to even get to finish for a manicure, and i think they did really poorly on my pedicure as well. Could have easily been done better at home by myself, and im not even good at painting nails. Just frustrating when you go out to get service and you come back unhappy, spent way too much effort and money. I think this place really needs to make it more welcoming too. Extremely unprofessional and they even made my toes bleed because they clipped them too far!! will never go back.

It is over priced for a very quick, like 15 min Mani. It was granddaughters first one and was so fast. When my granddaughter was asked if she wanted hard nails she said yes and they used gel, an up charge, not knowing what it was. $60 for 2 very lame Manis was ridiculous. Will not go back.

With being on vacation and from out of town I wanted to give this local business a chance. I had a scheduled appointment for three people at 2:30 on July 2nd. We had arrived on time but when we got there the lady at the front desk couldn’t remember our appointments and seemed very disorganized. We arrived to our appointment on time at 2:30 but none of us were serviced until at least 3:05. By the time I was seated the man who did my manicure sat me down then told me “I’ll be right back “ and had just left the salon for at least 15 minutes. In total I waited 40-45 minutes before I was serviced. I was already annoyed with everything taking forever and was about to leave when he finally came back. When he was working on my manicure he was not gentle with my nails. When he was supposed to trim my cuticles it had felt like my manicurist was ripping them off. I honestly didn’t love the way they were filed either but my fingers were in so much pain that I didn’t notice my nail shape until after. I was satisfied with my pedicure but I was just so annoyed with my manicure and the customer service. I left crying because I had felt like I had wasted money and my nails were in pain. I was better off going to the nail salon inside Walmart.

I havent had my nails done since before COVID-19 hit. I was very excited to pamper myself again. My experience with the male nail tech was okay. He lacked some customer friendliness but he was very skilled. My complaint would be he did NOT cap my nails. He actually filed the sides and the fee edge after the gel manicure was cured. This is a no no as then water can get under and the free edge is susceptible to damage. Within a day I had multiple little chips. I dont know why he filed the edges but it wasnt best practice. I’ll go again and request they cap the free edge of my nails.

I have been coming here on and off over the years and the experience is always great! The staff is very kind and polite. The services are always quick and great quality. They are doing a good job keeping things clean during COVID. All around great experience. We will be back

I went in for a full set and the male technician that helped me was shown the coffin shaped nails i wanted and he did them very square.. I had to ask him multiple times to go at more of an angle but then he got frustrated and started talking to the other technician who had to explain that it would look bad to angle it more.. Ive had my nails done elsewhere with nails looking much more coffin and less square. Was overall unprofessional I wont spend my money there in the future. They rushed the person I came with as well and did not give her what she asked for.

My favorite place to take myself on a date. Bin did an amazing job. Exert effort and such care went into my set. Plexiglass and multiple layering of masks worn by staff, ( I love the plexiglass because I have asthma that always acts up during a nail session from the dust and fumes.) As always, I can’t wait to return. Kind and hilarious staff, always putting a smile on my face and making me feel beautiful. Thanks guys!! 💜💜

I booked an appointment for 2 pedicures, under the name “Andrew,” and when I showed up I was told that they could start mine but my boyfriend would have to wait for awhile because they didn’t realize they would be giving a man a pedicure? They were incredibly rude about it too. 🥴 Needless to say, neither of us got a pedicure and would recommend going to literally any other nail salon in Bangor!!!!

Out of all the nail salons in Bangor, this is by far my favorite. The atmosphere is relaxing and I have never left feeling less than satisfied. The staff is quick and does a great job!

Stopped in here on vacation. Can’t tell from the outside but it is a nice place inside. The signage was hard to spot. My nails were done well and quickly. The salon was clean. I will remember this place when I am in town.

They make you feel comfortable if they can. (Some people just simply find it awkward. Ny nails cane out great though. They looked so nice and they werent all messy. Sadly they dont have anywhere to swipe your card, but they have an ATM which you can take money from.

The salon was really busy when I went in. I was surprised I didnt really have to wait that long. They were quick, but I didnt feel like they were rushing me through either. They did a great job and I really enjoyed the experience. I wanted a basic mani/pedi, but believe they gave me the spa treatment that cost a little more. Therefore, the price was higher than I expected or really wanted to pay. Id recommend anyone that goes there be clear about exactly what services they want and exactly how much they expect to pay ahead of time.

Me and my mother got a pedicure. The nail technicians were so rude, you could tell they were judging the whole time. I requested one toe to be a different color and they gave me a hard time, not trying to understand what I wanted. Definitely wont be going back!!!

I had a great experience at Superstar Nails. Not only did they initially do a great job, but I had chipped my nail on the second day and they fixed it for free. I was extremely impressed, especially because I’m from out of town and they were so accommodating!

I have had acrylics for several years now, I figured I should try a new place since I moved up here for school and the technician’s instagram looked like she was very good at what she does. However I got 2 fills here and both times they were awful, they lifted around the edges and were not on well. Your nails should look great but also be able to hold up through normal everyday activities and they couldn’t. Would NOT recommend at all.

I was not impressed at all. The place could use a good cleaning and nice people working there. I have blue on my fingers and nail color around my finger tips. There was nothing comfortable or relaxing about my treatment. Will not be going back.

Awful! Did the dip powder on my nails and they didn’t even last a week. I have never had the dip chip like this before. I go elsewhere and they last more then two weeks... would recommend at all!!

I had acrylics put on this is a treat i allow myself rarely. the guy who did my nails did not engage with me what so ever, he rushed the job, one of the nails he attempted to touch up three times i finally had to say i have to go to work, the nails look awful they are lifting, the cuticle area is all rough looking and nail polish doesnt even go all the way down the nail what a waste of money and time certainly not a relaxing time.

Terrible! Inexperienced young woman started the nails. Horribly thick, very uneven tips. Asked 5 times for the nails to be shorter. Older man was rude to me move over to him sit with him to correct the young girls mess and he rushed and did a every nail was shaped unevenly. Very dissatisfied customer.!

I had Stephenie and she is amazing. She didnt judge my toe talons or unshaved legs. She got me in right after work as a walk in. The environment is friendly and they all seem genuinely happy to help you and give you a wonderful and relaxing experience. They offered free water to start and their chairs give great massages. Along with that they use toasty warm towels and give foot and leg rubs. I got so spoiled! I am going back! Best treatment I have had yet in comparison to other salons I have tried!!

They were able to take my daughter and I for pedicures without an appt. They talked with us while we had our pedicures done which we appreciated because we arent from the area. Their pedicure chairs are certainly well worn, which I equate to high usage. Hopefully the success of their business will allow them the opportunity to replace some or all of their pedi chairs in the future. In these last few days of August we were happy to leave with happy toes peeking out of our sandals!

I asked the same guy!! to redo one of my acrylic nails completely because it actually snapped in half he completely disregarded what I asked and went on to do his own thing my nails came out not at all what I wanted. and every time I persisted to ask him to do it the way I asked originally its almost like he didnt understand. and now the gel nail polish that he did. is literally peeling off!!!!!. I have been looking for a good salon in the Bangor area to get my nails done this will not be one that I go back to unfortunate for them because I tip very well !!! NEXT!

I have never left a review about any company before, but I had to for here. I got the worst pedicure of my life here, paint on my skin and blotchy blobs of polish all over my nails. Then my acrylics were just as bad, I asked for the “ombré” look that I had seen on THEIR Instagram account and I come out with hot pink and a little bit of white covering my thick& crooked acrylics. Then they charged me $70 and their ATM took my money and didn’t work. I didn’t have time for them to fix anything, but I didn’t even want to go back or spend another second in there for them to fix my pedicure or nails. Now I know why this place is rated 2.5 stars

Terrible experience! They had to take off one acrylic nail and when the did so they ripped off my real nail and still proceeded to put another fake nail on! Without me washing it or anything! Totally unsanitary! My nails also came out looking like a child did them, I could do them better.

I went there today. The man who did my nails was very rude, he kept yanking my hands really hardHe didn,t make my color looked very even .I don,t think he put enough coats of Polish on because it did not look like the color should have it had alot of spaces in it where it was blank! The 2 design nails look good but the other nails do not look professional! I will go else where next time!They did charge extra for the 2 design nails!

I went to superstar nails today paid $30 for a manicure and matte black nails. Not only are my hands super dry and cracking as well as swollen, my nails are also horrendous. They r not matte black and are chunky and the edges are not clean. 10/10 would not recommend the older woman and man to anyone.

I was recommended to this place by a friend because they’re the only place around that does ombré nails. They looked awesome for the first day, so that Jess can take a photo and post it on Instagram. They all began to lift soon after from the base as if the acrylic powder was so cheap that it didn’t even stick to nails for longer than a week. I gave them another chance and went back, called before and they said to come on in so I did and waited 2 1/2 hours. She then told me that they were falling off and lifting so bad (after 1 week) that I needed a whole new set and charged me $40 for it even though it was because of THEIR cheap product! So I paid for a new set and here I am, once again 1 week later, and 3 have already fallen off while the rest are lifting. I have had acrylics on for over 5 years and this has never happened to me before. I definitely do NOT recommend!
