As much as I want to give this barber shop 5/5 stars for excellent haircuts I’ve received in the past, I just can’t do it. Don’t get me wrong, this shop has provided some of the best haircuts around. But the last time I was there, the gentleman that has black hair, skinny and taller took care of me. Or the lack of. I was 15 min late due to an accident near my residence that forced me to detour way out of the way. Completely not my fault at all. He immediately called me out saying I was late and gave me a short lecture on how much of an inconvenience it was on him. I get it, it’s frustrating. But don’t take it out on the customer. The guy was very rude the entire time as well. But the worst part was he was very rough with the clippers and other tools he used. Not only his tone and how he talked to me made it clear how I wasn’t welcomed again, but I felt unsafe while he was cutting my hair. He even argued with me about how I should have my hair cut for crying out loud! I should’ve just walked out right then and there. Definitely the worst experience I have ever had anywhere. Not just with a barber shop, but any restaurant, hotel, or anything anywhere I’ve been. Hands down the worst. I haven’t been back since. Granted this was about a year ago but even to this day, every time I get a haircut, I get worried about how it’ll go and I think back to my experience here.

I have been going here for almost if not 3 years, Tim provides the best haircuts and experiences I have ever had at a barber shop. I am very picky about my hair and don’t really know what I’m talking about so I kinda just say a general idea and he knows what to do, half the time he knows what I want before I know what I want! Be sure to call ahead as some people don’t know how to do that for some reason. Very understanding and works with your schedule as much as he can. Great guy that gives some great haircuts.

Great cut for a great price. Barber is quick yet detailed and friendly. Hes always booked so be sure to call well in advance. All cuts are finished with a nice hot towel and a shave of the back of the neck. Worth the planning!

Don’t waste your time here.Centerville Barbers is habitually unprofessional, fails to listen to requests, and only values their own time.The past few times I’ve been there, they’ve only halfway listened to what I was requesting, and citing “this looks better” as their reason for doing it different from what I asked.During the flu outbreak at Christmas, I missed an appointment due to me being stuck on the couch vomiting. Tim personally called me. Not to be sympathetic, but to try and guilt trip me into coming back on the basis of “it’s really hard for a small business if you don’t come in”.If that wasn’t enough, this morning I had an appointment at 9:00. I walk in at 9:01, and Scott (whom my appointment was with) was setting the cape on someone else, saying “I’m running a little behind”. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, I had to leave for work.Apparently their time is more valuable than yours.

I needed a beard shaping, and decided to go here based on great reviews. This is my first beard, so I was pretty nervous. I expressed that to my barber. I told him I had been growing it for about 3 months and was going to keep letting it grow. I told him I wanted it shaped, and blended at the sideburns. Well, that isnt what happened. My beard was trimmed with the right side being trimmed quite a bit shorter than the left side, and my mustache was cut very short. I was extremely disappointed. He did a great job on my hair, and shaped my beard nicely. I just wish he would not have trimmed it, and left my mustache alone.The shop was very clean. I would go back for a haircut, but dont touch my beard.

Tim is AMAZING! I took my 2 year old son there for the first time yesterday. He was so kind and patient with our little guy. He explained everything he was doing to him and made him feel comfortable, all while doing it quickly. His hair looks PERFECT and this mama is super happy with the whole experience! Being able to make an appointment is great... until you show up for your appointment and find out that the barber “called off sick” but nobody bothered to let you know. When I made the appointment, I was warned that I needed to “give at least 2 1/2 hours notice if I needed to cancel for any reason.” Apparently customers are not extended the same courtesy, at least not by Scott. Then, to make matters worse, the owner demanded to know why I was “giving him an attitude” when I said I’d just go someplace else for my haircuts in the future. C’mon guys! Your customers value their time as you do yours, and you needed to respect that if you wanted to keep my business, because I can go to any barbershop right around the corner and get a great haircut without the hassles.

After visiting too many hair cutting establishments and get a mediocre haircut, a pal referred me to Centerville Barbers. That was 4 years ago, and I have enjoyed my experience each and every time I visit Tim. Tim takes the time to listen to the customer, and offers council if a particular cut or style would work on me. I was blessed with an large head, so Tim was able to help me find a cut and style I love. The store is clean, friendly, and I am greeted promptly upon my arrival. It never ceases to amaze me that I have people approach and compliment me on my haircut, and they often ask where I get it cut. I always recommend Centerville Barbers because of the professional service I receive. As my Grandma used to say The Devil is in the Details, and Tim does indeed pay strict attention to details: trimming my eyebrows and sculpting my hairline to ensure it is neat and tidy. In addition, I have several hot towel shave there and its very relaxing. You would be remiss if you didnt treat yourself to a haircut and a shave at Centerville Barbers; just make sure you call ahead for an appointment. Found Tim based upon the reviews, so I thought I’d give it a try. I needed my haircut for my brothers wedding as his best man, so the pressure was on. I didn’t expect the small talk and dialogue to be so genuine and funny. Great prices, haircuts and conversation.

Tim and Luke are great. Very clean shop, spotless restroom which is great when you have kids, and all around nice guys. My husband has been going to Luke for many years. We have 3 boys - and we have been taking them there for the past 2 years since Im done giving home cuts! Luke is always consistent and the cuts look great every time! Tim is also a great guy... so friendly!

Just got back from my first haircut. Luke was the one to help me I believe. First of all the place is SUPER clean. Very inviting. These guys run a GREAT barber shop. They give a lot of attention to detail. Literally the best hair cut Ive had in years. I use to go to the same barber for 16 years until they retired (Larry and Jims in Springfield) and I am so thankful that I finally found another real, old school barber. And their prices are great so make sure to tip them good!

Tim has been cutting my hair, as well as my brothers and my 2 year old sons, for awhile now. He always does a great job. I have a random work schedule and he is great about fitting me when Im free. My 2 year old doesnt sit still for more than a few minutes at a time, but Tim is patient and consistently provides great haircuts to the moving target. The shop is very clean and Tim is a lot of fun. Ive gone to Luke at Centerville Barbers for years now and have always gotten a great haircut. The new location is great. It has a great design and it is always impeccably clean. Both Luke and Tim are great guys and offer great services.

After many years of driving by this weirdly colored building every other day, I finally decided to get my haircut at Centerville Barbers.Ill definitely be going back. I spent my entire life getting haircuts on military installations, so it felt weird watching Tim (who I assume is the owner) greeting the other people who walked in by their first name. I was like yeah thats what I want from a barber!.I have a simple cut so I cant comment on anything like that but Tim paid great attention to the small details and made sure everything looked clean and professional. It was the little things that I appreciated - straight razor to clean up some lines, trim the crazy eyebrows, etc.And all for a reasonable price, too! With tip I probably paid the same I would have at Sports Clips but gotten none of the extra care and quality discussion.Already looking forward to going back when I get back from my trip to Vegas. Centerville Barbers just gained a life customer. I was looking for a new place to go after being sick of paying $20+ for a mediocre haircut at sports clips. Im glad I found this place. Its been a month since Ive had the cut and Im still loving it. It grew in perfectly. Did I mention a haircut is $13?!I wish I could remember the guys name who cut my hair. He has a long styled beard and short black hair. The guy is very easy to get along with and cuts hair like a champ. He took his time and never rushed to get done. 5 stars

He talked with me about my sons hair and we had a plan of attack before he started cutting. Shop is very clean and welcoming.

I love getting an old fashioned haircut and this place has it in a fully modern space. A business-zoned family home has been converted into a mashup of mid century modern and open floor and industrialism. Quite not the typical barber shop, but a welcome modernity among linoleum-floored cottages of the past.My first haircut here was amazing. For weeks after the cut, my hair just fell into place in my usual style. It looked great! As a wearied, lifelong victim of fast haircuts at Mediocre Clips I decided to find a place close to home. Imagine my surprise when it came to settling up the bill - just $13! I paid with a twenty the first time (and every time since) because its a thirty-dollar haircut and I want them to stay in business. I continue to patronize CB until today as I wait for my appointment.
