Good: Maintenance people are really fast to resolve any issue within few hours of opening an issueThe area, and surroundings around the apartment is really good.. especially the nature the trees and walking trailsHave all groceries and restaurants in walkable distance.Things to improve :Need to have a CENTRAL LOCK for each apartment.Will be good to have a few covered parking spots.lastly, the leasing office should answer the call frequently when calledMost importantly no one gave any time after a new reserve parking board has been placed before towing the car... My car was parked before the new reserve parking board has placed and was towed immediately... very bad experience

Moved into Westerlee Apartments on Bloomsbury Ave., Catonsville in November and from day 1 communication with office staff has been flawless. Property manager has ensured my needs are met. Apartment is nice, clean and comfortable. Maintenance staff are responsive and do a good job ensuring the safety of residents during inclement (snow) weather.

The apartments themselves are nice, as is the surrounding neighborhood and community areas/amenities. Ive had no issues with pests or anything like that. The floors creak/are noisy, but besides that it is a nice, clean, and safe place to live. Ive had a couple issues with stuff that needs fixing, but maintenance is very quick to respond.Unfortunately, I cant say the same about the leasing office. It is next to impossible to get through to anyone if you have a question or need to address something. They are open 9-6 on weekdays, but what they do during that time is beyond me, since hardly ever pick up the phone or return your calls. Ive had to physically walk over to have people answer my questions, which provides its own concerns during COVID. When I have gotten through to someone, Ive often been directed to send an email to the leasing agent, but I might as well be putting them in my Trash folder because no one responds. Whats kind of insulting is that the office sends a LOT of emails out to residents, often repeating the same exact information, yet wont respond when you actually need something.If it werent for the terrible communication, Id rate this community at 5 stars. I like it here, and I feel safe and comfortable, I just wish I knew I could talk to someone when I have an issue to resolve.

As a current resident I can confirm all these 5 star reviews are fake. No one walks their dogs on leaches which leads to literally dog waste on the side walk. I have pictures, the rodent infestation is disturbing and the office staff “forgets” about your issues. Maintenance takes 5 days for the simplest issue . Rent is crazy. They are letting so many section 8 folks in it’s crazy.

I am now in my 6th month at this property. I needed to move out of my last place quickly, and Westerlee seemed like a good place for me. I love the view from my back porch, especially at sunset. The apartment is a nice size. Now here is the problem. Dog owners do not clean up after their pets as they should. And the biggest complaint is that it is not a smoke free property!!!! Smoke from my neighbors apartment gets into my apartment. My clothes, and my towels, and my entire apartment reeks of cigarette smoke. I have a chronic respiratory disease, and there is no consideration by the rental office when I mentioned the problem. I put a letter on the entrance door requesting the smokers in the building to have consideration for their non smoking neighbors and at least smoke outside on their porch. The letter was quickly removed, and cigarette butts are often found inside the common area (mailbox, foyer) my son used to live with me, and decided that the smoke was too much and moved out. I often spend time at my fiancé’s place because it’s so bad. Trying to explore options to get out of here ASAP. I pay a lot of money per month to be inconvenienced and unable to enjoy my apartment.

I am current resident at Westerlee apartment homes and Pros of the Westerlee is a nice location and kind of ok maintenance but if you want to get some information from the office it would be a night mare. No one answers the calls and even if one does answer your call they will be utmost rude. Example I got my lease extended and I wanted to have a confirmation on the rent I need to pay for the current month. I called the office it took 3 to 4 times before some one picked up the call and when I asked for help the lady answered the call I need to wait for property manager to come and by the time manager comes it would be past the rent due date. I asked could you make an appointment with her and she started yelling and hung up the phone on me. One thing I still don’t understand is if someone picks up the phone at the office and couldn’t schedule an appointment what is the role is she playing ? This has happened twice within one year and Westerlee management should focus on getting right folks in the office to answer the calls and try not to hang up calls on current residents

Living at Westerlee has been a good experience for the most part. The only issue I have is the residents that dont pick-up after their pets. I dont have a dog, I dont want to take dog poop into my apartment. This doesnt have much to do with management, it more towards resident being irresponsible and inconsiderate of others.Maintenance is quick to response to service calls and the Management Team is polite and efficient. I like the community, the location and amenities. However, the other thing is the apartment floors creak and make a lot of noise. The walls are good, because I dont really hear my neighbors (just the person on the left side...she just loud that has nothing to do with management or the apartment) I think you would hear her through a vault door...smh. Westerlee is a clean quite community. I do recommend.

I have lived here over 4 years and I love it. When I go into the office Caryl is always there for me. She is so sweet. Every time I come in the office I look forward to seeing her and her smiling face. She truly is the best. The maintenance team works so very hard to make sure we are happy. I just love living here.

Noisy and inconsiderate upstairs neighbors. I emailed the property manager but no response. I am writing this at 3:30 AM so imagine how bad it is. Kids are running and jumping throughout the day and stomping and heavy thumping noise throughout the night. It reverberates so bad, and I am losing my mind because of this. I never had a decent sleep in months.

I was a sublet, but fell in love with the place I live in and on May 8th renewed my lease for another year. The office staff is easy to go in and sit down with them with a problem which they try to resolve if they cant they get someone who can, but they usually get it resolved as it was probably a simple fix. Maintenance, not those is a whole new thing. Great. Only really had Ryan and he has always come in got the wook done that needed done. If not (parts needed, etc.) Then it may take a day or two. Never leaves a mess. Cleans up after himself. Easy to talk to him regarding work being done, gives you answer in layman terms. Great group on office and maintenance people to talk to. That makes me know I made a good decision by signing new year lease May 8th. Thank you Westerlee 😘🌹🌹🌹❤

Staff neglect their responsibility to handle necessary obligations for their residents. I’ve reported many things from December of ‘18 til recently, just giving up.The make shift athletic center is filled with bacteria and the equipment isn’t kept up with. Even the hand-me-downs the Corps got, worked better and do more.I’m just saying.. for a place that constantly has to hear car alarms, due to ignorant dealership representatives who can’t find their vehicles; doesn’t have maintenance the right way or manner and horrible ethics for running a maintained business, simple apartments shouldn’t cost nearly as much as these.I highly suggest you do not rent here.We have ignorant neighbors whom play music so loud, we can hear it through the floors, from the kitchen to living room. Occasionally in the bedroom.This place just isn’t worth it. Real talk.

I have been with Westerlee since 2008. I have moved away for brief periods twice in these 11 years but I always come back! This is home. Caryl is awesome! She is very personable and always there when I need her. She gets things handled promptly! Going into the office for whatever reason is always a pleasure. Our maintenance men are friendly and respectful and they get the job done. Our grounds are always kept looking nice, the neighborhood is safe, I love my neighbors, the pool is refreshing and I am happy here. I plan to stay here many more years :) -Lauren Derr

I saw the comcast van outside yesterday thinking theyd fix it already but I guess they went to check it out and didnt have any equipment on hand?? Anyways please fix the internet.

This team worked incredibly hard to find an apartment for my family. When there were no apartments available at the location I wanted, they put me at the top of the list to be notified when one became available. Within a week, they found a place for my family! Pros: great location, management isnt intrusiveCons: hidden fees, maintenance is not responsive, contractors hired by Morgan Properties came into my apartment when I wasnt home and moved my stuff (threw it in a big pile).Bottom line: WAY too expensive for what you get. Im comfortable enough living here, but you could easily find a nicer place for the same price.

Living here was a terrible experience. Within the first two months, the apartment had flooded twice. One of the bedrooms had persistent mold along an entire wall as well as the closet; they would come in, scrub the walls, dehumidify, and then a month later it would be back. This went on for the entirety of our 13-month lease. A few weeks before our lease was up, we informed management when we would be out by. A few days before that, while we were still in the process of getting everything out, management (apparently thinking we were gone and all of the stuff in the apartment was unwanted) sent in contractors who essentially trashed the place, broke furniture, got paint on clothes, and conveniently took the electronics we had left. Management was completely uncooperative during this whole process, swearing up and down that no one had been into the apartment, they had no idea, and so on. Eventually they admitted what had happened, and we did get our stuff back and they offered to reimburse us for what was broken, however the whole thing was really handled incompetently. Aside from this, persistent mold, and flooding, the apartment wasnt that bad.

I work for Federal Government, Department of Commerce, US Census Bureau. I moved from Richmond VA to these nice apartments as my son joined medical school at Baltimore. I really found a beautiful, dynamic, young woman Alicia Moore to our fortune. She always received us with smiling face, listened to all our needs and requirements and showed all apartments for couple of weeks very patiently. We owe to her a lot. Our search to find a place ended here so also our worries. The apartment maintenance staff fixed everything we wanted immediately.I definitely recommend to my friends who want to move to MD like us going forward.God bless everybody.

I got denied before the neccessary paperwork was in they said it was because of a background check I dont believe that I believe there is slight racism going on something just doesnt feel right I dont know. I hate this place! I hate it with all my heart! I wish I could give ZERO STAR!! ZERO!! Do not get caught up from when you see the office! The office looks nice, really nice but the apartment are a SH** SHOW! DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING BEFORE YOU SEE THE ACTUAL PLACE YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE IN! What they show you, it is NOT what you are going to get it!Ive had so many problems and this community sucks when it comes to fixing it!! The biggest regret in my life it is living in this place! Good location. However, very bad management, terrible and not helpful staff and manager and assistant manager. Old buildings not appropriate for living. I left after terrible 6 months.You can hear the noise of your neighbors. The steps and every movement of the upstairs neighbors are the main sources of noise. The sounds of wood floors made my life terrible.I do not recommend.

Then they take your money and then want to point out their policy afterwards. This place is a joke(not the funny kind) Please stay away from these scammers!!

I have been here since 1985... but my review is now based on Morgan Property taking ownership....I have not have a single problem with staff!!I love my apartment.The maintenance men are trustworthy, prompt and honest .. they try their best to get the job done and if they can not fix an issue they immediately get appropriate contractors to get the job done.They respond to my emergency calls promptly and never give me any attitude for having to come out.The company has been making effort to build relationships with the community by having functions at the office and giveaways.We have an updated gym.They have Been updating the apartments and beautifying the community.We now have a dog park and a mini golf course .Updated pool furniture.... This place is an absolute hole. They will take your money and then the dilapidated state of literally every single component of their apartment complex will proceed to ruin your life for the duration of your lease. I will post photos and videos shortly outlining the ant problems, dirty water, broken hot water heaters, and severe flooding all of which were caused by inattentive and uncaring maintenance crew and a management who do their best to work as little as possible.

We are staying here now and we have sent you email 3x about people staying above our unit. Their kids are making noise from morning to bedtime (1:00am). Jumping, running banging. I even sent you videos and proofs. Until now there is no action. Now we are leaving in few months, i hope your next tenant will not suffer like we do.

If 0 stars were an option, I would have picked that. Everyone at this complex was so helpful - until they werent. After talking with management for 2+ weeks about getting everything in order to move in, the day I was supposed to sign my lease they gave the unit I reserved to somebody else and expected me to accept another unit that wasnt the same. When I tried to have the situation rectified the office staff was initially rude, then promised to do things they never did, now dont dont respond to emails at all. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I had to come on and review this complex. I recently had a water main break that happen in my home. Maintenance and the staff were on it immediately. They communicated with me and made sure me and my family were OK through the whole process. They were in my home and my neighbors home all day-and-night. They did not leave until everything was complete. We are thankful for the maintenance team and the westerlee staff for all they did thank you westelee.

DONT DONT DONT rent in this place, here is my Why list:- Hidden Fees- Old apartment badly maintained- Poor & rude Customer Service ( they force you to rate them 5 stars when you sign the lease contract)- Maintainance Team are rude and they dont do fixes on time.- If you live in the lower levels, you will hear all noises from the upper apartments.- Appliances are the lowest quality in market, mostly every piece will start to give you hard time from the 1st month.Its going to be an endless list, So dont waste a moment of your life living in this place, it is the worst, I live in a nearby apartments and its the same rent but with better services and newer apartments.

I could write an entire book about how awful this property and its management is for the price. They have such a high price for such horrific service and on top of that they do the best they can to ensure that youre trapped in their lease. Apartments are old and the wood floors are always creaking above us. There is literally a circus on my ceiling at random times at night making it difficult to even work. When you have an issue and ask for maintenance services they claim that someone will be down to resolve the issue but instead we wait two weeks before actually driving to the office and arguing with the staff who have got to be the most incompetent, rudest people Ive ever met.Their office hours are listed on the door but they always have this 99 cent store clock that states sorry we are not available we will be back at 2:00PM. Frustrated and aggravated at this point, a person goes back at the specified time to come to the time being specified much more ahead.AWFUL. AWFUL. AWFUL. RUN!

Below is a list of just some of the issues we encountered while living at Westerlee for one year-- Drain fly infestation, multiple maintenance requests - never fixed- Gas leak in the stove, took multiple maintenance requests to fix- Incorrect doors on both the front and sliding doors- big gaps allowed many bugs in- Walls were not finished when we moved in, gaping holes, could see into the walls for the first two months- Black water would come up through the bathtub drain every time it rained- Kitchen sink would flood with black water and food from the garbage disposal randomly when not being used, multiple maintenance requests - never fixed- Garbage disposal and AC didn’t work when we moved in in July- Black and green algae/mold on patio- Crack in bathroom sink, would flood the cabinet below, took multiple maintenance requests to fix- Four times in one year the plumbing in the apt above us had issues which caused multiple leaks massive leaks in our bathroom. Maintenance could not figure out what the problem was and had to cut our ceiling out 4 times. After one of the fixes maintenance sprayed a coating over the bathtub in January that was such a strong smell it made us sick and had to have the windows open for over 24 hours to get the chemical smell out of the apt- Water heater leaked soaking two rooms carpets- MOLD!!!! They ignored multiple notifications of back mold in the apt, it spread so fast it got on a lot of our personal belongings. Had to throw a lot of our furniture and kitchen items out, they offered no assistance in finding anywhere else to go- the apt was deemed by a professional that everything had to be removed and professionally cleaned and was not safe to be in until cleaned.Save yourself money, frustration and health concerns- find somewhere else to live

Been waiting for 3 months now to get fixed, they lie to u every day they will fix everything its a manager and supervisor request this and that but they never show up. Place is horrible half the time no one ever answers the office phone. Took 3 1/2 weeks to get my busted dryer and blown electric sockets fixed in my kitchen. Honestly I dont think the problem is with the maintenance department. Im going to say the problem is with the office manager if shes not supervising the office and no one answers the phone how the hell are you supposed to report your issues to maintenance sadly you have to call the emergency line to report every problem here. In the 18 months that my family has lived here the list of issues in this apartment has been as long as my arm and sadly most of them took months to resolve theres still a huge hole right outside of my entrance door into my apartment Ive been asking for that to be fixed since last summer. I called the office surprisingly one of the girls answered I wont give her name but I made a complaint about the opening and now there is something living up there because at night we can hear it running around I dont know if its a raccoon, squirrels or maybe cats. I have no idea what it is you know maybe Ill be laying in bed one night next to my 9 month old son and whatever it is well just crash on through the ceiling and get in bed with us. This place is seriously unorganized thankfully we only have another year here and then well be into our own home!

I lived in Westridge apartments which is owned by Morgan Proporties as well. I stayed in 292 B2 for three years. I miss that apartment sooo much!! It was ground level on one side and 2nd floor on the other. It was a two bedroom with a dining room. It had a porch and a balcony. One of the few units that had a washer and dryer and a 1/2 bath. If I had an issue with something not working or potential maintainence I was always greeted by courteous workers that were always helpful. It also helps to know what your problem is before you call so they can more easily fix it.One example was that the previous tenants twitched the water lines into the washing machine. This was so they could have an all hot water cycle. I do not use hot water and I figured this out when I ran a load and it was hot! I did some investigating and found the issue. It was a simple fix for maintanence. They had the right tools and all. But if I did not investigate they may had not found out. Moving out was also a breeze. Got my security deposit completely returned no issues.Living here was great! Not many complaints at all. The oven could have been upgraded but it worked fine. Ants would sometimes be an issue if food was left out. And we had a water leaking problem for a season but it was ultimately fixed when they upgraded the roof. No biggie. So everyones got fixed. Noise was now and then an issue but thats not the apartment owners fault. They cannot kick someone out for an arguement. People are people. If there were any crazy parties or people acting up the cops always came and silenced such issues. This being said it was usually quiet and serene. We had long time residents and they all loved that place. I would return to that place in a heartbeat!

All of this couldve been resolved by a simple phone call but since the property manager is an evil person they just want your money.Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else.

Manegement is very rude, when ever I complain about any mantance related issue they always take week . When I go to lease office and complain about mantance they dont give proper answer and behave very rude. If they dont like to work they should stay home. I would never recommend any of my friend and relative this apartment .and also I recommended before 8 month ago a friend of mine still didnt get bonus .👎

Stay away from these apartments.cockroaches all around the place and when you walk in your apartment, you get irritated by the sound from floor they are so poorly constructed.On top of all this Management is dishonest. maintenance is not good,you got to wait months to get things fixed.They wont answer your phone or email.Their in unit washer dryer are too small..Think multiple times before you sign the lease. Once you sign the lease you are stuck with paying high rent and no quality service.I see some one from Westerlee responded to my review:Weterlee : Please talk to Shaleza and Daine to know what happend and try to resolve the issue, I had a pending request for about 5 months which still is not resolved and I gave up.

I have never been so angry with an apartment complex in my life. To start it off, the VERY FIRST WEEK we moved in, the AC was broken and it was the middle of JULY. They first told us it was because the filter was dirty, so 2 days later they replaced the filter, mind you for those two LONG days it was over 90 degrees in the apartment. A day later the AC was broken AGAIN. It took them over two weeks to finally come in a replace the unit. We had to sleep in the living room because it was too hot to sleep in the bedroom! We had to ARUGE with them several times before they ever came out to fix it. The unit they replaced it with is so loud that when it shuts off it makes the dog bark. That should have been our first warning.On top of minor details we have had to call them to fix (including a hole THEY left in the bathroom door) our shower started to leak. Each time we called them, they came no sooner than two days after the call to patch up the leak. It never worked, their idea of fixing the problem was to take some drywall and paint and fill up the leaky holes that were created at the top of the ceiling from the water pouring out of the upstairs neighbors pipes. Finally (about a month after our first call) they came to fix the pipes, removed the wall, patched up and repainted. We were SO WRONG to believe that was going to be the end of it, its still leaking, we have called several times and no one has done anything. There are holes in our ceiling above the shower, its dangerous and unsanitary.The people upstairs have packed a family of 6 into a 2 bedroom apartment. They argue, play loud music, and it sounds like the wrestle elephants in their free time. They are constantly having parties and yell all through the hallways. They stomp around so much that pictures have fallen and the TV shakes. I can no longer do any of my work at home, I am forced to leave to find peace and quiet in order to be productive what so ever. They also take their trash and old food and toss it off the balcony into the bushes in front of our doors. Its disgusting; we are constantly chasing away stray cats from the rotting food. We have asked them to keep it down and we have told management. No one cares.Not to mention the neighborhood behind us has dogs that bark from the early morning hours until later in the day. I am assuming when the family is home they just let the dogs outside to sit all day no matter the weather conditions. The dogs have learned to jump their fence now and they get loose, we have a small dog and we will not risk taking her out with dogs we dont know running lose.We have attempted to contact the property manager in particularly about the constant leak in our shower, in addition to our other issues, and they have told us they would call back, but never do. I wish we could afford to break our lease early and move out, we have a few months left and we cannot WAIT to be done with this apartment. This place is not worth what you pay for it, it’s not even worth half.... and if you enjoy stepping in dog poop because of your inconsiderate neighbors, by all means, move in.

Moving out just because of Morgan property, I was here for 5 years but since Morgan took over it became a nightmare, they force us to give up our storage for no reason. That storage was part of the lease.

I use to live in this apartments at that time I was a student I graduated from the university I requested my university to send my certificates they sent to this address before its reach to the address I moved to Chicago then I call to the university they told me your documents already mailed we cant issue another set of documents within one day I call to the leasing office and I requested them to hold my documents they said NOthen they have to return to the post office this stupid officers what they did I dont know finally I LOT MY CERTIFICATES AND MY JOBBBBBB😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
