Absolutely fantastic experience being towed by J&J. Their facilities are top notch, from the cute little hole in the wall that you are greeted at by a mysterious pair of illuminous green eyeballs, the retro tumbleweed Texas style of layout they are going for and of course the cute pack of feral zombie cats to set the mood. 10/10 looking forward to getting towed again.

I paid $230 and got my keys and car and the guy let me out the gate sign the papers and everything before I get even went to get my car. And they are sending notices in the mail they still owe the full amount trying to get more money saying I drove off the lot. There is video surveillance showing me paying in cash unless my payment was tampered with by the guy at the window. I paid the full amount. When I called about this they keep saying to call back in the morning. Trying to double charge. I have my receipt and copy of paperwork physical and on file in my computer showing my payment along with the video surveillance.

Three days ago J&J performed an unauthorized tow of my car from my parking lot. Fortunately my property manager had its release authorized so I was able to get my car right before I had to be at work the next morning. That would’ve been fine but then last night J&J came back and one of their employees slashed my tire.

Very quick very efficient, I was parked in wrong spot for about 15minutes, when I returned my car was gone. Clean lot and helpful staff considering all my prof of ownership was in my SUV, $230 later had my SUV back.

These people are despicable, They prey on unsuspecting people vehicles parked in legitimate paid private parking areas where they have spotters lurking and wait till your time expires 1minute or more then rush in to grab your car for ransom of $230. Do not patronize private parking lots thats offering you $6...1hour Deals. Its a trap and they will hustle you. They really doesnt deserve a star....

Illegally towed my brand new car from my own complex. Was parked in the supposed visitor spots, literally only had it for a day and was unable to get a parking sticker yet, thats why I parked in visitors. Still towed regardless. Tow enforced sign was also on the ground in violation of Texas towing regulations. Very shady and unethical company.

I feel bad reviewing a towing company. I cant give them 5 because it cost a lot of scrilla to get my car back. I gave 3/5 because of the way it heightened my senses to be in a crisis. Their lot is a post-apocalyptic, Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome-type deadzone, with ancient rubbish heaps overgrown with poisonous vines, accented by rust and dilapidation. But! It seems like their infrastructure, designed to allow interaction with a customer (read: victim) without exposing the J&J people to retaliation, was perfect for the Pandemic. The intercom and purposefully obstructed viewing window were Big Brother-esque and my imagination was reeling.

They towed a car that had a visitor sticker. They do not care if you get your vehicle back. They just want your money. Justin, who is a small little man, and acts as such, is EXTREMELY rude, unhelpful, and inconsiderate. Not only do I recommend NEVER working with this company, I’d take it a step further and say never live anywhere they are the on site towing company for - they will tow your car multiple times, with or without a pass.

Took a buddy there to get his vehicle back. Just an average place. Pricey though....Take my advice, dont park where youre not supposed to and you wont have to shell out over $200. A lesson my buddy wont soon forget. Good news is nothing was missing from his vehicle, so they are honest

They towed my car for being parked diagonally in a parking space at my own apartment. They said I was parked illegally. There’s a poorly-placed curb directly in front of the parking space so I had no choice but to park crooked to get into the space. And since when is a crooked parking job illegal? I wasn’t blocking a single thing. My landlord released the car promptly, but what a pain just dealing with this for no reason. I also have very little miles left on my lease. I don’t drive my car more than once a week due to this, and I had to drive the car back from their lot 7 miles away. Just a total waste of time and energy.

Nobody wants to find their car missing, especially when legally parked in your private parking complex but at J&J towing, they specialize in that! Don’t expect your car to come back in one piece either, maybe it’ll be a scratch or maybe a huge nail in your tire! Depends on your luck I guess. This is an extremely predatory business, be careful if you have to deal with them.

Impressive driving. Even put my wheels on dollies. Such gentlemen. Still in disbelief they were able to get their truck in and out of a garage I can barely move through... plus ya know... with my truck. Win some, lose some. Cool dudes. 5 out of 5 would get towed again.

As of 12-6, this place is a dump. I was unlawfully towed. For those of you that dont know the towing laws, there must be proper towing signs. Even if you did park in the wrong spot you still cannot be towed or you can contest it and win. The company knows it and are not complying to this. Also, we can all submit a complaint in BBB.org. We get shut them down.

This place is a nightmare. I’ve lived at my apartment for two years my car is registered and they took during the day as well I do admit I hadn’t put my sticker back because my windshield about a week was replaced and on top of that I was in the hospital stay treating for a deadly infection Sepsis. At this point I’m crushed by the devil I say. Because the engine was Seized and I was already in the hole with his car and I’m not sure what to do it’s been a month they had it now. This place is a racket, they will tow for no reason and mess up your car.

J&J towing is known throughout Austin by its residents and police for criminal activity. Yesterday my car was stolen from a residential parking garage. The apartment manager confirmed no one had requested to tow a vehicle, nor should they be towing unless specifically requested. J&J did not report my vehicle as towed in their system so when we called them to inquire and the police ran my plates there was no record of the car being towed, therefore, it was obviously assumed stolen. I had to meet with the police, file a stolen vehicle report, file a claim with my insurance carrier and so forth. We asked the apartment manager to review security footage to see if we could get any images of the thief. Turns out the thief was J&J towing. I had to call J&J and notify THEM that they towed my car (if not for the video police would still be looking for a stolen car, Id be purchasing a new one and I assume J&J would be notifying me after some additional fees accrued). When I asked why it was towed he told me I had parked inside the residential gate (which can only be accessed by scanning a card) and did not have a permit. I explained that I had not and asked what I do since this was not the case and the car was towed in error. He told me that there was no visitors parking there and I had parked inside residential, I again said that was absolutely not accurate (I know the apartment building well), he said rudely, Im done talking to you. Its $230+ if you want your car. and hung up on me. I then called the apartment manager who called J&J and let them know she had video footage of them coming into the garage and illegally towing my car from the visitors parking lot (there is a very clear distinction, and the tow truck driver knew what he was doing). At that point they admitted doing so and said I could come get my car for free. I then had to call the police again to have them meet me at J&J to verify the car was not stolen before I could collect it. I explained the situation to the police once they arrived and the officer himself referred to it as theft and told us that J&J towing is the one tow company they constantly find doing illegal activity and unfortunately with the way the system works they cant be prosecuted for theft, they can just be fined which he confirmed they have been many many times. He mentioned for instance that several times J&J towing has shown up at a collision incident and towed the vehicle before any authorities have arrived at the scene so that they can collect the fees (this of course is illegal and they get fined). I filed a police report against J&J with the evidence. The police questioned them and stayed with me until they released my car. I only was able to avoid being a victim of this crime due to the video footage. Otherwise, there would have been no way to fight paying them, basically ransom, to get my vehicle back. I have heard several people have had to do so and the officers confirmed this is what this company does on a daily basis - steals peoples cars for money.

Basically extortion, for the prices they charge youd think they would have an actual concrete parking lot instead you have to drive thru their rocky lot, goodluck not getting a flat or nail stuck in your tire.

Not saying I Liked this place, my car being towed, really?? But, the service I received and the people I dealt with were very helpful, polite and courteous. They allowed me to go get things from the car and pretty much left me alone while I did. Not LIKING my car being towed, but APPRECIATING they didnt damage any part and nothing was missing from the vehicle. All in all, it was as good as one could expect when dealing with a tow truck company, I was relatively surprised..

Just almost had my new car hit by one of their reckless drivers off of Metric Blvd and Research Blvd. Driver was swerving, had his lift down (not even loaded with a vehicle), was smoking, speeding, and did not use turn signals. This is the kind of driver you want representing your business? Its no wonder youre being investigated by the board. I got his license plate and TDLR number. I reported the driver to TDLR. Also reported to BBB. And I also reported the driver to APD. I have experience with and know members of the TDLR board. This careless and dangerous behavior will not be tolerated.

Even tho I was upset about the tow J&J helped me get my car as quick as possible and the car was in the same condition it was in when I parked it.

Doesnt answer the phone...tried calling when I was on the property nothing wrong. Employees got aggressive with me trying to entice a fight after I took video of the car and their tow vehicles to make sure theyre up to date.

J&J damaged my vehicle during a tow including multiple instances of paint scratches, paint chips, and damage to the rear bumper. Keep in mind that this car was towed from a nearly empty parking garage.

Will tow registered nurses and physical therapists providing home healthcare to a tenant in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. This practice endangers the health and welfare of all the citizens of Austin and could even result in death if a homebound person is unable to obtain the medical care they need. He wants his fee or the patient can just either suffer or die. If the nurse cant get a daily permit to park because the apartment office is closed, their response is that the patient should be left to die then, Hahahahaha.... These people are beyond being morally depraved.

J&J is helping me keep my property free of unauthorized vehicles. So far I am happy they do their routine inspections. They send emails for proof of illegal parking, no tags or stickers. I know they have a bad rep but they will keep a property fee of over-crowding.

They towed my sons car because his parking permit fell off the rear view mirror. Thats not great but ok. The real issue is that they put a 8 inch scratch on the rear bumper when they hooked it up. Very unprofessional. Stay far away from these guys. Getting ready to contact them but its clear nothing will come of it based on these reviews. Probably will contact the management company to see if I can convince them to go with another more reputable towing company.

My truck was towed out of my parking spot last night. I noticed my truck was gone from my parking space, the man who towed my truck damaged my scooter which was in my parking spot. I couldn’t believe it, so when I finally arrived at J&J towing the man behind the computer seemed like he was not responsible for the damage to my scooter and was not concerned about the entire situation.The fee to retrieve my truck was $228 dollars and I was parked in my assigned spot.Total THEFT!J&J towing will damage your property with no care in the world.The overall experience led me to believe they’ve done this for a while and have scammed many people out of they’re money.

Was renting an AirBnB in Austin and forgot to put my parking pass on dashboard. Totally my mistake and car was towed. 24 hour availability and gentleman answered my phone call and gave me address.Got an uber to the tow yard and guy there processed my payment of $238 really quickly and then picked up my car. In and out in less than 5 minutes!5 out 5! Would get towed again!

Every time I’ve had an unpleasant interaction with a towing company for towing illegally in my hometown is has ALWAYS been J&J Towing. They are also known to be involved in criminal activity by plenty of people from around here. Honestly it’s sad and pathetic they’re even still running but what else do you expect

Knowingly damaged my vehicle while taking advantage of women at night time. Shameful company with complete trash for employees. Absolutely no values. Better business bureau needs to be on alert.

No marked “visitor” or “towing” signs visible. At night especially. Only marked “reserved” in spots that would clearly tow if you parked there.

They do a special program where they tow cars on the apartments request even if it has a sticker and is running properly.

The person who said that you are all predators is correct. Although I was parked in an area that had white stripes, it was not clearly labeled as a fires zone. One day I get out to go to work, and my car is missing. I was about to call the police, but called my apartment management instead. Not only had the towing company removed my car with no warning, and without consent, they hadnt called the apartment complex to let them know that they had taken the car. It took the management a short period of time to find the email.I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau. I am hoping to get some resolution. It is sad that we live in a world with such financial predators. A little honesty and integrity would be in order.

J and J towed my vehicle out of a guests parking spot At my friends condo while I was out do town. They then proceeded to charge me a daily notification fee even they never once called me. They said a certified letter was sent even though it takes a least a day to receive mail and I was out of town.These people are the scum of the earth with no concern except cheating people out of money that you cannot dispute.

This is the WORST company you would ever know. My little brother came to The Vue apartments and was clearly parked in an unmarked spot that was for visitors and they towed him. In addition about 2 months ago they towed my car... FROM MY RESERVED PARKING SPOT THAT I PAY FOR. We were able to show them my parking permit that happened to be off that one day and they released my car but the hassle and annoyance of the situation is complete BS. They are just driving around grabbing cars that they can, no one ever calls them which is BS.

Careful if you run into a guy in a yellow jack named Quan. Hes a theif who wrongfully claims to work there. Its amazing they still get away with illegally towing cars. They took my car from the parking spot of the building I was living in. I take my eyes off my car for one month and its towed from my own spot? I told them to look at the car itself as the permit is clearly visible on the passenger side window. They brought it down to free, but I still have to get the car towed to a shop because its just as broken as before. Also everything even remotely valuable inside was stolen. Someone walked out with a gaint box containing a replacement control arm for my vechile and a huge drill. J&J just claimed no one was in there like I leave my car with the glove box open and my stuff on ground.

The most horrible service. J&J Towing towed my boyfriends car from a public parking spot at my apartment complex (open to visitors) at 2:30 in the morning. When I called based on my apartments word and boyfriends behalf, I let them know that my apartment told me that they wrongfully towed the car and he replied with okay. Just disrespectful, unorganized, and known for multiple car theft issues.

Being the business that it is, my experience of retrieving my vehicle was simple and non-stressful.

They charged me 380.00 and lost my truck for 24 hours. It showed up at location next day. Dont know how or when. But glad it made it. Never again.

These are some serious car thieves that will steal your car and force you to pay them to get your car back. I was parked in a parking lot where there were no visible signs at all of towing enforced or anything like that. Within just a few mins of me leaving the car to talk to someone, my car was already towed. No one called them. They just go around fishing for cars to tow. They also lied at first and said they didnt tow my car.I spoke to the property manager and they called J&J asking them to release my car, since it was on their property...they did not. They said they only way I can get my car back (on the same day it was towed) I had to pay $200! Easy money, right? Steal innocent peoples cars then charge them to get their OWN car back!And to make things worse, my car was DAMAGED by them. The wheels were turned (the car no longer drives straight), I had a big bolt in my new tire, and scratches all around!!!I called the cops and they made opened a case, but then you have to spend the rest of your life trying to solve this issue and obviously its not worth your time, stress, and efforts (thats the point - its a corrupt system with terrible laws). They look for the innocent people that do small mistakes (5 mph over the speed limit) and go after them bc theyre too afraid of the real criminals.

We were illegally towed at 5 A.M. The apartment complex did not tell them to go and get our truck, we were parked in the designated area to be parked. Going to get our truck back, we find that they had broken into our truck and stolen money from my fiances wallet, and a full pack of cigarettes. We have filed a police report on two cases. One being theft, and one being taking our truck even though we were not parked illegally. Absolutely ridiculous.
