I was in town for a wedding and needed to get my nails done. I walked in and they were able to take me right away for a soak off and dip manicure! My manicurist was very detail oriented, did a great job soaking off my last nails and did a wonderful job doing a fresh dip mani for me! $45 total for the dip and soak off which is very fair! If I was a local I would definitely be a regular at this place:) Highly recommend! Huge selection of OPI and SNS dip colors. Thank you Riverspa for a wonderful experience while I was here in Austin!:)

I showed up without an appointment. They were gracious enough to accommodate me. I felt welcome and appreciated. Above that, I have a disorder. I felt comfortable enough with Nathan to disclose it. He encouraged me and supported me and I left the salon with 10 fingernails instead of nine. I have a chronic, severe nail biting disorder. Thank you for not cringing and not judging me.

Worst manicure I have ever had, absolute hack job on my nails, went in with perfect came out 5 times worse. I could have done better at home. Wish there was a way to post a pic of the job that was done.

This is HANDS DOWN the BEST nail salon I have ever been to. We were in town for a wedding and I did not expect to be pampered like this, Nathan, the owner and his team are wonderful and friendly. Usually at a nail salon, I’ve enjoyed the few minute massage but they take extra time and care and I felt SO RELAXED. I’ve not visited a salon where they have spent so much time and care, my feet and hands feel so happy just thinking about it!!The prices are reasonable too, definitely choose this salon. It’s easy to miss and Siri sent us to the Firestone next door, but it’s in a little strip mall next to the Firestone.

Love this place! Came with my Mommie snd sisters for a mother and daughter day and was pleasantly surprised with the expertise snd kindness…bonus alert! Nails looked great..massage amazing…and excellent customer service! Highly recommend! 10 out of 10

My pedicure was fine. My gel manicure started out fine and then not even two days later the polish started to chip and now a week later it’s peeling off. And I do not do manual labor or any activity that would cause it to chip.I paid 120 for both the services combined. I shouldn’t hav paid near that much and I wish I could get my money back. Sadly back on the hunt for a good nail salon in Austin.

Solid salon! Walked in for a gel manicure and was seen right away. My technician did an amazing job cleaning up my nails and the gel lasted forever. Clientele was diverse too which is always comforting. Will return!

No decent massage, very light hands, not worth $55 for the pedicure plus tip. Friendly ladies, but they are not the best by a long shot.

Wonderful!! The citrus pedicure was amazing! Very clean, technicians were friendly and attention to detail was great. They closed at 7:30 so we called ahead to see if they had availability for three pedicures at 6:30 and they told us to come in. Very accommodating. Enjoyed the experience. I consider myself a regular. Ive been coming to River Spa Nails for a number of years. That speaks for itself! River Spa Nails has the best staff and service. Most importantly, at this time, the nail spa has taken all precautions for client / staff protection, during covid.

My friend and I had an hour before we were going to meet some friends for dinner so we decide to get manures. We googled some near by manicure places and came across river spa nail salon. We called and they were able to accommodate us right away. The lady who did my manure was so sweet and very detailed and thorough. Would definitely recommend!

We were able to get an appointment with short notice, even during Covid. The staff was really welcoming and friendly. The complimentary ice water and flip flops were appreciated!Youll be impressed with multiple levels of protection and cleanliness. There are sanitizers and barriers and each station is cleaned before and after service.Two thumbs up and two big toes as well!

Came to Austin for vacation from NYC.In Queens, NY I pay $25 for SNS fill-in every 2 weeks and a pedicure is $13. If you ever come to NYC go to Grace Nails on Bell Blvd you will not be disappointed!So I figured hey Im on vacation Ill spend the money if needed (but nothing over $100) to get my nails done. I really should have gone to Bleu Canvas nails but they were booked. Therefore, my concierge at the hotel I was staying at tells me to go to Red River since they are known for crazy nail designs - which I like doing to my nails with unique styles.I believed the concierge and I get an uber to Red River. Get there empty- awesome feeling you know. So they have the SNS powder another plus since some salons do not do the powder tips. First is pedicure of course I just wanted a regular pedi but no they only have Spa pedicures so I do the Green Tea pedi for $55. Since it was soooo slow I had 2 women work on my hands. I arrived at 4pm and after sitting on the pedi chair for 2 hours my butt was starting to hurt so I had to ask them can you put me at the desk please-they eventually did. I still have 2 women doing my nails BTW. One hand was done first so I wanted designs and I told them I came her because of a recommendation of your designs. They tell me stopped doing unique designs--- what kind of nonsense is that I tell myself. So I tell the nail stylist can I have some gems on the nails she yes we can do that. Moving on now to 8 PM hands are done - Im ok with them. The price comes to be $85 for SNS tips plus the pedi they wanted $140!!!!! I started laughing in the salon like these PEOPLE ARE CRAZY like I come from a state that is utterly expensive and its cheaper to do nails in the East Coast than the Mid- West- I seriously could not believe what I was hearing. Before I decided to whip out any money I soon to realize they DID not offer no massage no wash hands then lotion - hot towel deal you know LIKE every salon does. So I took it upon myself to wash my hands since they were sticky from the glue. As I reach for a hot towel for my hands and dry them GUESS what happens the gems CAME off! I sat back down and said take them all off I am not going to be on vacation and worry and if there is a missing gem. They started talking among themselves and did it anyway. Nail tech says 20 off from the 85. I was telling myself $20 for gems -jeez. So I leave there at 9-930pm paying $120.Lesson learned do your nails at your regular salon before going on vacation.PS the photo at the end was my nail after Grace nails took off the SNS tips

Fantastic customer service. Polite and happy people who love to serve and genuinely seem grateful to be working together as a team. I love my toes and had full set of dip. Wish I was local. 5 Stars.

Great experience, would return! We were from out of town, had no idea what to expect. We did a google search and found this place, which was priced well and decided to try it out. Made appointment over the phone, showed up to get one of the best pedicures Ive had in a long time!! Comfy massage chairs, took time on pedicure, paint still looks great, had water, huge shellac and regular polish selection.

10/10 RECOMMEND! The staff was friendly but their attention to detail was AMAZING. I’ve never had such a perfect gel mani/pedi before until now. Very impressed and will come back to Texas just for this salon! :)

Recently moved to Austin from New York and was in need of a pedicure. As I live just around the corner I stopped in around 12:30 on a Thursday afternoon. After picking my color from a huge selection I was seated and waited only 15 minutes in the chair with perfectly hot water to soak my sore feet before she began. She cut my nails perfectly and the massage is amazing! It was a 45 minute session and my nails are perfect! I would highly recommend to everyone! Best pedicure Ive ever had!

They did an excellent job on my pedicure and my acrylic nails. I live in San Antonio Texas where I own a salon, so I can be a little critical. I have to say I have no complaints on either service I received, as for the massage with my pedicure it was one of the best. If I had to make a criticism, it would be that the massage was not long enough. Not that I felt cheated on my pedicure time, it was just that good that I did not want the massage to end. One of the nail technicians had a client in his chair to nitpick at every little thing. The client was so intense, I thought the manicurist was being punked. He never lost his cool, and continue to give her excellent customer service. So if you are looking for a Salon that does great work, and has excellent customer service, River Spa and Nail Salon is the place for you!

Came into Austin from Houston for the weekend and needed immediate pampering. This salon was convenient. Great customer service (they serve wine😉🍷A little over my normal budget but the quality and convenience was worth it. Worth a try!

If you are looking for the best nail salon in Austin, THIS IS NOT IT. I decided to try this place out because my friend referred me and boy can I tell you, terrible terrible terrible. It being spring, I wanted to pick a lighter color. When she brought the color over it didn’t quite look like the example color but I thought it would look darker on my nail. She started doing my nails and I noticed you could see the tips of my nails under the dip powder (it looked like a French tip but it wasn’t supposed to). I kept telling her she should dip just the end of my nail so the color would cover my nail underneath—she wouldn’t listen, she said it would look uneven. I said “it looks uneven now! You can see through the tips on my nails!” I sat there for 1.5 hours and HATED my nails. I complained the whole time and at the end no discount or apology was offered.After staring at my nails for half the day and getting more and more angry that i paid $45 for a horrible job i decided to call them. After explaining the situation they offered to redo them with another color that is darker. I don’t want a dark color, it is spring—I want y’all to learn to do nails! I was not about to go back to the establishment and sit there for another hour and a half to get a color I didn’t want. I asked for a refund and the manager said he didn’t have the authority to give refunds and I would have to dispute it with my bank.I hated my nails SO much that I went to my normal salon and they redid them with a very similar color. The people at my normal nail salon, Queen Spa, could NOT believe they sent me out the door with those see through nails.Like so said, if you are looking for the best nail salon in Austin, do NOT go here. Poor customer service, poor nail colors, poor expertise, poor EVERYTHING. The best nail salon in downtown Austin is Queen Spa NOT riverspa. If you want a killer manicure/dip powder this place is not your best bet.

I was honestly surprised by this place. A co-worker had referred me here and from looking outside I have to say I didnt expect much. It was one of the best pedicures Ive ever had. Im excited its right near my office!!

Everyone at this place is really nice. It was more expensive than I thought and had to return when they didnt put a top coat on. I left with nails that were not very even or straight and they broke within the first week.

The worst nail salon and service, I literally put my feet in cold water with no added soap then she gave me a 30 second massage that was horrible and then told me I owed her 30 dollars. Walked in with my daughter and they accommodated us quickly. The staff were very nice. My hearing is beginning to go a bit, so it is difficult for me to always understand (even English) what one or two of them are saying, at times, BUT! this is not a big problem as long as people are willing to repeat what they said--and they were very sweet about it. Sometimes language can be a big problem, but here it is not. Also, on the language topic, whether or not you can always understand what is being said, you can still tell a lot about the environment around you. Its a kind of international language. Are the people around you happy and do they get along with each other? When they talked their own language to each other you could tell they were happy and that they got along. It made it a pleasant place to be around and had me smiling even though I didnt understand what they were saying to each other. Now on the services. They were excellent. We both thought these were the best manicures and pedicures we had ever had, hands down. If I lived in Austin I would make it a habit of going back here. Even though its the first place we tried in Austin, we would look no further. Thats how happy we were. My daughter, who lives in Austin, will be going back and is so happy with the convenience they offered in location and accommodating customer requests. Very clean. Sterile equipment. And they are very gentle. The highest rating for this spa!

I was visiting Austin and while my man was in a business comference I decided to go do my nails as this place was very close to the hotel. They were friendly and nice. I would say the place doesnt match the $67 gel manicure and pedicure but the girl that did my nails was nice and did a good job so it left happy. I do would recommend this place if you are close by. It was worth it for me.

Was in from out of town and need a pedicure really bad so I stopped in at River Spa. Not one other customer in the salon, first warning. She trimming my nails on one foot ok but didn’t the other. Polish on the side and tip of my toes. Very sloppy. I wasn’t paying attention and was in a hurry to meet my daughter when she was finished and didn’t not inspect. My fault but it should not be like this, at all!!

Above and beyond! I took my best friend here for a relaxing girls day and we were immediately taken care of from the moment we walked through the doors. Richard and Carolyn quickly introduced themselves while showing us to our massage chairs and fetching our beverages. It wasnt long before we were cracking jokes and telling stories of our unforgiving past! The River Spa is full of genuine kind hearted deserving people & we definitley left feeling pamperd taking with us new friendships. That very same week Carolyn and I hit up W. 6th!😄👠💃 I honestly would recommend River Spa to the queen of England. I know for sure theyll take honest care of anyone who enters their home.

Pedi was only OK. After most pedicures my feet are usually smooth 4 days. By the next day it didnt even look like Id had a pedicure other than new nail polish.

Great manicure, not much of a wait, BYOB, and good atmosphere. Its a little pricey but in line with downtown Austin usual rates.

Im in Austin for the weekend from out of town. This experience boasts the worst pedicure Ive ever had and Ive had a lot! I made a reservation about 4 hours in advance for a jell mani and spa pedi at same time. My appointment was for 2 pm. I called again at 1:30 to confirm that I would receive both treatments at the same time since I didnt really have a lot of time. That didnt happen but thats not the reason Im so mad. The technician didnt cut or clean my toes?! She also didnt remove the oil from my toenails before she painted them so the polish never dried. Came off in gloopy clumps. Wth? I cancelled the jell mani. It was also like 80 degrees in there. Nothing special, reliable or pleasant about this place! Total waste of time and money! I still paid full price btw... What a dump.

Its been 3 months since I discovered this salon and Im still here. I like them super short and they never say anything about it. They are super gentle with the file. Couldnt be happier with the service I had received.
