Omg!! I LOVE this place! I am SEVERELY OCD about my nails and how I like my cuticles trimmed and my nails shaped. Karen and Kelly did a great job!!!! The place is nice and clean. I dont care for that type of music. I would have liked more relaxing modern music but they did a great job so Ill deal with it. I will definitely be coming back even though I live 12 miles away in Southeast Austin!!

This is the best set of acrylics I have ever gotten! Staff are so so sweet and very caring. They took time to make sure I was happy! Very professional and clean setting as well. I will never go anywhere else! 10/10!! GO TO MODERN NAILS :)

They do a great job usually but I called and made an appointment and specifically asked for a pedicure service for me and my daughter. When we arrived the lady was rushing us and asked if it was okay for me to just get a basic service because they were too busy. I would have been fine with it if they had told me in advance but she mentioned this as we are already seated. Said they just don’t have time and they have people coming after us. The whole pedicure was rushed and not relaxing at all. I wish they would have just come clean over the phone and I would have totally understood. Would have called another location or waited. Bummer.

Kristin always does the best SNS dip manicures and my pedicures are always amazing! I’ve tried every place for nails in this area and Modern Nails is by far the cleanest, nicest, the color lasts the longest, and good prices! Usually my SNS manicure would chip off on sides at other places within 2 weeks but here my manicures last SO much longer (literally one time lasted 5-6 weeks), their quality of products are so much better than anywhere else! Love it here!!! The best in ATX!

I rarely get my nails done and every place I have been to I feel shaves the top of my nail down so much when I get acrylic as well they shave the acrylic down so much it looks like a need a fill when I walk out. Modern Nails was fabulous... Brian was so gentle with my nails and he did a beautiful rose design. I wont go anywhere else!!! Modern Nails is the place to go!

I just moved to Austin and was looking for a Nail Salon in my area. I received a flyer from Modern Nails and decided to give it a try. I got a new set of acrylic nails and absolutely LOVED them! The staff was so friendly and professional and they really did such an amazing job! The price was incredible and I cant wait to go back!

If I could give my overall experience a 12/5 I certainly would. The location is great! Even though it is on a busy road, it’s extremely safe and accessible with plenty of parking. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm smile and “hello” by the staff. The interior looks very well kept and clean. And with COVID19, the salon did a great job at social distancing, following necessary procedures to keep their clients safe and protected. Also, the color selection had me blown away — truly; they had any color you could think of!I received a gel manicure from Kim. HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU ASK FOR KIM! The effort she puts into each nail is incomparable to any other nail tech I’ve encountered. They did a absolutely great job I’m in love with my nails!! They took their time and actually made my nails exactly like I wanted them to look like. Also they last up to 4-5 weeks!The owner is super sweet and nice and always try’s to satisfy us including the other employees and if you want to be unique and try something different on your nails she always finds a way to get exactly what you want!

I have lived in Austin for 12 years and this is by far the best salon I’ve been to. I recently discovered them and will never go anywhere else. The staff is super friendly, the place is clean, they practice safe COVID protocols (temp check, plastic barriers at each station, sanitized), and the quality of their work is amazing. High attention to detail and my nails are perfect every time. They also make sure you like what they are doing (shape of nail, length, shade of polish) every step of the way. They are careful about covid. They are very clean, check your temperature at the door and everyone wears a mask while in there. They are very professional, courteous and do a great job with your nails (mani and pedi). Today I had my upper lip waxed and it looked perfect. I am very happy with them and recommend them.

Ive been going to this salon for SNS manicure and pedicures for almost a year. I drive by several nail salons because nobody has come close to the fantastic service I receive at Modern Nails!I go once every 3 to 4 weeks for SNS and about once a month for my pedicures. I am always satisfied.

I love getting my nails done here. I used to go to a place only 2 mins away, but was so unhappy going there. I accidentally ended up here. A friend recommended a different place, but I’m so glad I ended up here instead. It’s 20 mins away and well worth the drive!! This is my 3rd time and so far, my mani and pedi have looked on point! A so have my brows! Plus the ladies are so sweet. Definitely recommend ❤️

Great hours and discounted specials from time to time! Best thing is that all services are very reasonably priced compared to other salons.

I had a very PLEASANT first-time experience at Modern Nails today! The nail salon is very updated, clean, and professional looking. They had an amazing selection of polish colors that included many new OPI shades! I was greeted with a friendly smile and taken to a very clean pedicure throne where they had portable shields set up for social distancing measures. The atmosphere was so relaxing that I could have taken a nap while getting pampered. The high-quality chair massage embedded in my pedicure throne helped with the relaxation, too! I was given so much time and attention to my services than I have ever received in a long time from other places in Austin. The only thing I regret is not visiting this salon sooner, which is only a few minutes away from where I live! This will definitely be my new neighborhood nail salon. I just cam from getting my fresh set of SNS- the dipping powder process. I love how strong my nails are when the SNS comes off. Kristen does such a great job. I can clean my entire house and still my nails look great! This is my new favorite nail salon in Austin! They did a wonderful job on my SNS nails. I tried out the clear tips for the first time and they turned out so cool! I got them coffin shaped and she really took the time to make sure they looked perfect. Everyone was very friendly and sweet that worked there. I’m absolutely going back! I love my nails, I can’t stop staring at them 💜

They have done a great job ensuring that the social distancing policies are in place and I felt very safe and comfortable there. This salon is under new ownership by two highly professional women. I was thrilled to receive a text from my nail technician/artist that she had left a busy salon and was now practicing here. They are completely COVID safe (temp/mask/spacing). I have really hard to cut toenails (hangnails) and am fussy as all get out when it comes to how I want my toes/fingers done. They are offering a 20% discount through the end of June. Highly recommend!

Due to past experience at other salons, I can truthfully say I did not expect “exceptional” results. I usually wait a year or two between appointments because I have always wondered, “why do it? Now I know! I will definitely be going back to Modern Nails from now on!

I had a wonderful experience with Kim, the new co- manager at Modern Nails. I received an excellent pedicure and foot and leg massage with treatments. Having avoided the intimacy of a nail salon since March 2020 because of covid-19, I was pleased to find a very clean, orderly and safe environment with faceshields by each nail station. The environment was calm, peaceful and uplifted. It was the perfect and sanitary re-entry into a salon since sheltering in place for months. I highly recommend Kim and her “ thoroughly”modern Nails!

Absolutely loved my experience at modern nails. The whole staff was attentive and friendly. They made sure to make our experience wonderful. Ask about their deals! They’re willing to work something out (say you see a discount on Groupon). They definitely made a loyal customer out of me and my bff. Nails, service, BUT THOSE CHAIRS... definitely best massage chairs I’ve tried. Chairs alone make the experience worth it.

I visited Modern Nails when I was in town visiting my dad. I originally left pretty bummed about my nails but when I went back to let them know (which they encourage) they fixed them and they looked wonderful. I’ll be going back here when I visit my pops again!

By far the most outstanding nail salon service we have ever experienced. Hands down, this place goes above and beyond. We were astounded! From the warm and gracious welcome, to the attentive and caring nail technicians, it was an absolutely delightful experience. The salon is utterly beautiful and fastidiously clean and tidy! Beautiful music played in the background, and there was just an overall lovely feel to the whole experience. Furthermore, I can honestly say we received the best dip nails weve ever had! Every detail of the manicure went the extra mile and added special care and attention, including ceuticals, etc., which are often neglected with acrylic or dip! I must add one final note of appreciation here! I have very sensitive nail beds, and these folks were so very gentle and caring. None of the filing hurt in the slightest. It was an amazing experience! Thank you Modern Nails! Well worth the four hour drive! Well be back!! :-)

I just recently moved to Austin and I can say I will not go back to this place. As soon as I walked in the manager (i assume) she wasnt very nice. I was telling her about my nails and she cut me off and told me to go talk to a different lady. So told the other lady what I wanted and she called a different lady over to do my nails. The 3rd lady wasnt understanding what the 2nd lady told her. I was basically standing in the middle of the salon waiting on them to decide who was going to do my nails. Then when I finally got someone to do my nails the lady was on the phone part of the call not even working on my nails, then she had to stop to make a payment for her car. To me this place was very unprofessional.

Clean shop with friendly staff. I have been here several times. The environment is very relaxing. This is my favorite pedicure shop. They always ask if I want a beverage. Ive recommended this place to my friends as well as taken my mom there when she is in town.

This is by far one of the best nail salons I have been to! The male that owns it with his wife is the one I always go to and highly recommend. My nails always stay as perfect as the day he first does them and his french tips is the best!!! The nails do not break or chip and they are not too thick or uneven. I would recommend this place to anyone!!

Not crowded. And got a full hour!! Doesnt smell. Chairs are awesome. Try to get here every two weeks but gets really crowded on weekends.

Great service & interaction with the techs. I had no wait time....it was 11:30 ish. The pedicure done by Lin was fabulous....I have neuropathy & he gave me a great massage & was gentle with my feet. Ann did a beautiful job on my nails! I will be returning!!

Came here for the first time before my sister’s wedding with all the bridesmaids, so 9 of us in total. They had all of us in and out in about 2 hours and everyone loved their manicures and pedicures. The staff was so nice and accommodating! A few weeks later I ran to another salon closer to me to get a quick SNS manicure before an event, and the man was messing up removing my prior SNS so terribly that I was in physical pain. I got up halfway through his hack job, called Modern Nails who said I could come immediately, and drove the 25 minutes to get them done right. I have now been here 3 times, and every time the staff is so nice and accommodating, the salon is spotlessly clean, and my nails have literally never looked better. Not only that, my manicure lasts without chips or cracks for 4 weeks which is wonderful. The best, most consistent salon I’ve ever been to, that I’d rather drive almost an hour round trip to come here than get them done at one of the various salons within a mile of home. Highly recommend!!

Great service, clean, and good variety of services and products. The massage chairs are the best Ive sat in! I left one star off only because the last time I was in the nail technician seemed to be in a bit of a hurry and was removing my nail polish (SNS nail system) by prying them off. Im certain not very good for the health of my actual nail.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE ANGRY WITH A NAIL SALON IN MY LIFE.I came in for a mani/pedi and waited until the water in the pedicure chair was cold for 45 minutes for someone to finally get to me, only to be told that they couldnt give me a manicure because the acrylic on my nails would take too long to take off and it was already after 7:00.WHY THE HELL COULDNT YOU HAVE MY NAILS SOAKING IN ACETONE WHILE I WANTED FOR 45 FREAKING MINUTES?!!?!!?!!

If I could put ZERO STARS I would. DO NOT GO HERE.The whole place is unsanitary and totally unprofessional. There was clipped fingernail on the fresh towel that I put my hand on for my manicure and while the lady was buffing my heel ( without any gloves) she collected all of the dead skin in her palm and actually had me look away from the other lady doing my nails and wanted me to TOUCH THE PILE OF DEAD SKIN.When my manicure was finally started it was terrible. The lines were wobbly and my cuticles were never addressed.However, when she finally finished there was nails polish under my nails and on my skin but instead of using nails polish remover she CLIPPED AWAY AT MY HEALTH SKIN and actually caused me physical pay.I walked out of there in real tears super embarrassed and completely frustrated. The first thing I did when I got home was soothe my raw skin and re-paint my nails my self.

Would not recommend. I had an appointment and they took walk ins before me and asked me to wait. If I took the time to call in and make a reservation, I expect that I would be assisted first. Overall situation was handled poorly.
