Went for a dip manicure. The tech put gel clear coat and the UV light on afterwards, which I’ve never experienced before. Within 24 hours the top coat was peeling off. I went in to have the tech fix it, she did the same thing, and once again, the top coat was peeling off the next day. Heading to the drug store now so I can get the appropriate top coat and do it myself.

Han gave me the best pedicure I’ve ever had. I’ve never fallen asleep during a pedicure but during this service I did. It was so calming and she does great work. I’ll definitely be back for her only.

I tried the local super expensive nail salons for gel x, and dipping powder (different times) and spent a fortune only to have the products lift within a couple of days - and I ended up with a nail infection. I came to see Chau after doing some more research through reviews - and not only is she a fraction of the price but my full set lasted over 3 weeks before I needed a fill (because my nails grew, not because there was any lifting) and my nails look so much prettier and more natural than when I previously had them done. The gel pedicure here is the best I’ve had too. If you want really pretty nails and a great pedicure, and you don’t care that the salon is not fancy then this is definitely the place to come!

I always have my fingernails and a pedicure done at Viv Nails & Salon when I have time and money, it is a very nice, clean and efficient salon and it is a treat. I have been doing this for about 15 years, as long as it has been opened. The location is convenient for those of us in South Austin who frequently find ourselves going here and there from downtown to South Austin.

I had my nails done here today and the salon is very clean and staff unbelievably friendly. All tools were taken from sanitized package in front of me. I arrived close to closing time and they were more than happy to stay late and I never felt rushed. This is a cute place in an unassuming collection of stores, but I’ll definitely be back!

They just ripped off my daughters nail bed only because the nail tech did not wait long enough in soaking them. She wasn’t even going to soak, she was ready to use a nail tip to pry off. She bleed and the tech was going to continue to use her drill. WTH!!!! Needless to say we are making a complaint to the health department and the cosmology board as well. I have pictures, but not sure how to upload them. Sorry. Please be careful at this salon.

First time at Viv Nails & Salon, and I highly recommend. I got a basic pedicure, and this place went way above and beyond for a basic pedicure compared to other places. I think I found me new regular spot.

Been coming here for 3 years, including the day before my wedding. Ive always been satisfied, no complaints! I always walk in and am seated immediately. Friendly service, no frills, good consistent service. I dont go anywhere else.

Consistently excellent manicures. They dont skimp on anything and always take their time to be thorough. The space is always spotlessly clean, their colors are generally up-to-date, and if you have to wait (rarely), theres a nice loveseat and chairs arranged around a coffee table for you to wait at. They are just so sweet and nice, they speak English well, and Ive always left really happy and satisfied.

The regular polish I got from a pedicure is still looking good after getting done a little while back. Dont judge me. The lady was decently friendly. A little pushy, but thats to be expected a little bit. Parking is terrible. Prepare yourself.

Im a guy that likes Pedicures and this place was one of the best. They were able to work on my calluses and provided a nice leg massage.

I wanted to get my nails done for New Years and most places work booked. I hadnt been here but called and happened to get an appointment. Upon arrival the place was very small and seemed uncared for. There were about 4 people getting manis and pedis and a few waiting so it was packed. I picked out my nail color and was immediately told I needed to soak the current gel off. So they pulled out a folding aluminum chair and got me soaking. A bit of time went by and finally a lady came to remove the current old gel and start working on me. She didnt speak any English so trying to explain how that I didnt need my nails trimmed and what shape I wanted was impossible. The owner finally came over and spoke to her and told me to wait so my nails didnt get messed up. A bit more time went by and finally another lady came to finish. There was still a language barrier. She definitely took her time and was a little sloppy with the gel polish, I had polish all along my cuticles. I left there with all different lengths and shapes of nails. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because the price was very reasonable and the gel polish (once cleaned up and reshaped at home) lasted for 3+ weeks)

I convinced my husband to come get a pedicure with me and I also needed shellac redone. While I was sitting there with him having a pedicure and chatting, an older nail technician handed me a metal nail tool and told me to remove the old shellac off my nails myself while they did my pedicure. I heard the other employees laugh. I was completely shocked and never came back again. I couldnt believe it.

Pedicure was great. But the lady that did my fingernails cut me accidentally. Still hurt pretty bad.

The staff were friendly and fast. A little weak on the calfs(nothing besides a quick applicant of cream) but other than that, no complaints.

My trip to the salon wasnt as great as everyone elses. The salon was very small but not too crowded. My fiancé and I walked in and were greeted; customer service was okay until the woman that was doing my pedi cut me and completely ignored the problem. The manager then apologized but still nothing was done even after I complained it was burning. The woman also did not follow my request and cut my nails too short. She did do a better job on my fiancé. The manager did notice I was writing the review and said she wouldnt charge me for my pedi because she felt bad.I will not be coming back.
