SoNa was a huge blessing to set up my new life here in Austin. Being one of the many transplants coming into this city, I was nervous about finding a place that was 1) affordable and 2) allows pets but here we are! The staff is incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable when it came to all things renting. I feel that I am better prepared moving forward, when it comes to finding a place to live, because of what I learned even just from going through the rental process.Close enough to the city that a night out is easy to plan, while still far enough away that the city that the noise is almost nonexistent.Definitely five stars; would rent here again
New Owners BE CAREFULI have recently moved into this apartment complex with the new management RPM and my experience has been terrible. My apartment was given to me in very poor condition including a leak coming in from another apartment, water damaged cabinets, very visible damage to the walls, and the apartment was generally unclean. All of which should have been taken care of before the handover. The management of the property has claimed to have walk through the apartment but somehow missed all of the defects in the apartment.I have also had a very hard time contacted the management of this property. During my first week at the complex I called the leasing office many many times but only got through twice. I have even called immediately prior to going to the leasing office and received no response even though staff was there :/Last note, many of the reviews for this complex >20% has been written in a very short period of time this week, with little or no description, some reviewers even have the same surname as members of staff. This might be an indication of trying to boost their review score.Had I known this would be my experience at SoNA I would not have leased here and am very unlikely to stay at another RPM property.
I lived at Sona for a little over a year, 15 months to be exact, and I absolutely loved it. It’s a cute tucked away smaller apartment complex with plenty of parking (even for guests!). The property was always clean and had a private homely feel with lots of trees and a drainage ditch/wooded area that separated it from the neighboring residential single family homes. Located one light away from Mcneil and highway 183 provided easy access to get to tollway45, Mopac and Parmer. The Community Director, Justin, and Assistant Community Director, Cody, were warm and welcoming from day one. They were always responsive, helpful and friendly. Elliot from Pure Austin Locating told me about Sona and I was initially reluctant of how far northwest it would be for my Austin and surrounding areas range of weekly commitments. However, I immediately knew it was worth it when we walked the units and community with Cody. Sona was a refreshing experience after having lived at a gigantic “luxury apartment” where the staff was always changing, parking sucked and you could never tell who was your neighbor— Sona was literally the exact opposite of this! My neighbors were all friendly and I always had a place to park close to my unit.I lived in a one bedroom for about three months and enjoyed the spaciousness of the bedroom and that the balcony faced the drainage ditch that would run with water when it rained. When I needed to transfer units so my best friend, whose a single mom, and her toddler son could move back to Austin for a job promotion ASAP, Justin and Cody made the transfer process as smooth as possible. Justin even shared his experience living with toddlers and helped me ensure I picked the best 2-2 format for my new living situation! Both units were updated with all new appliances including microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, washer and dryer. One of the reasons I chose Sona was the fact that all units included a washer and dryer! The only downside was that the washer in both units I lived in, despite being brand new, always sounded like a demon from the depths of hell possessed it and was trying to escape as it rattled and shook. My only other grievance is that the paint used for the bathroom and kitchen countertops wasn’t finished. If something sat on the counter for a long time or if a hot plate/mug was on it, the paint would stick to the bottom of the object and the object would peel the paint or leave an indention in the paint. Other than that the experience was 10/10- there were no bugs despite being by the drainage ditch and woods, no paper thin walls, no ac issues, no wild neighbors, no issues with parking or overwhelming amount of dogs. On the rare occasions Maintenance was needed they were always fast, friendly and efficient.I would’ve gladly stayed living at Sona but received a job promotion in South Austin that coincided with the lease ending. Overall, I highly recommend Sona to anyone looking for a pleasant living experience.
Emily rocks!
SoNA apartments are so great. They are clean and newly remodeled. Although they are located a little far north, you cant beat the quality for the price. The staff is always very friendly and attentive, and bend over backwards to help. Also, if youre a pup owner youll be happy to know there is a doggy runway on the grounds so no need to hop in the car and take your dog to the park! I very highly recommend SoNA! :)
I did NOT rent / live here but when I inquired about info & went to see the place I was very happy with the customer service here. My review is based off the excellent customer service here. I would have chosen to live here if they had a 3 bedroom option, that was my only reason for going with another place but my short time spent there was a pleasant one. :) special thanks to CASEY
I feel safe and at The SoNA. Even more so with the units tucked away from the main road. The maintenance crew are very courteous. Always ready to listen to a issue in the apartment, or just to say hello. Great work!!! The staff up front always keep a professional demeanor, always great to stop in to pick up a package and hear some fun stories of their weekend. The grounds are pristine, I swear the grounds crew are here what seems like 1/2 the week. The complex is beautiful! I moved in 8 months ago. Still love it here
Having lived at SoNa for about a year, I can say I thoroughly enjoy it.We rent an updated 1br on ground floor, and have a dog.Pros: price is right. Maintenance requests are taken care of by the next day, on average. The ceilings are nice and high, and the flooring is great, and easy to maintain. Our neighbors are polite, and quiet. Valet trash is great. Landscaping is maintained on the regular. The pool area is clean, large, and there is a grill. Great access to Mopac. I feel safe walking at night. Office peeps are freaking awesome, helpful, and always friendly: shout out to Cody for always checking to make sure we are taken care of.Cons: having mulch, or turf in the dog park would be an improvement. There is a lot of dog poop in there, and occasionally around the complex in the grass.BUT, maintenance is very good about tackling that, and I know the complex is searching for a solution to the issue of ppl not cleaning up.You will find this at any complex, though. Unfortunately, some renters/dog parents are just very lazy.
These guys are amazing! I lived there for a year, and they made my life so much easier at every corner. The management is very kind and always willing to help. Not like the big, corporate owned apartments at all. On many occasions they worked with me to make sure I was taken care of. The maintenance crew is also very responsive and respectful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone working in northwest Austin. Had I not needed to be closer to downtown for a new job, I would have remained here for many years.
Nice place to live. The staffs are nice and willing to answer questions. The price is competitive when compare with the apartments nearby. Close to many restaurants and supermarkets, makes it a convenient place to live.相當推薦這邊~~
The neighborhood is really nice, feels really safe. We lived here before SoNA took over the property (formerly Summit Creek) and SoNA really improved the apartment(s) with new appliances and what not.Theres never a lot of noise, and the creek (more of a rainwater runoff, but still) that runs through the middle of the two complex areas is really pretty after a big storm.Walking distance to The Water Tank, a great little bar, and plenty of decent restaurants too.
I have been living in a 1/1 since March with my 2 year old and we LOVE it. The unit really maximizes the space it has in a way that makes sense and doesn’t seem blocky. All the appliances are new, there’s a decorative fireplace (it’s usable, but I use it as a stage for toys), a patio with a storage closet outside AND (the game changer) a washer and dryer in unit!I live across from the office and the mail/recycling center. I love the staff, they feel like family at this point. They’re always willing to work with you within their limits, of course.Safe and quiet neighborhood. Close to parks, the springs, the lake, playgrounds, etc. Theres a little mini forest along the perimeter that we walk through sometimes. Nothing crazy. We live in the third floor and we have a few plants, but never had a bug problem indoor or outside. There’s a little tree library in the neighborhood behind us and the Nextdoor neighbors are active.Everyone’s nice and picks up after their dogs. There’s a little space for them to run around next to the tennis courts. My son loves the Pool and the waterfall fixture they have. Everything always looks well maintained and I’ve even seen the community managers cleaning up, everyone pitches in.Love this place, highly recommend!
We liked living at the SoNa. We were very lucky, because we moved from out of state and werent able to tour it beforehand. We were really happy when we walked in our apartment for the first time :)The upgrades were really nice for the value. The construction on the building is solid. Could never hear neighbors through walls. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. Good amount of storage. Comes with washer and dryer which is awesome! We would have continued living there, but we only had one car and needed to be closer to work. The only reason we give it a 4-star is because the floor plan we had included a fireplace which was nice, but it took up so much of the space in the living room and made the floor plan too cut up. We couldnt fit both our love seat and couch in the area so we had to put them right next to each other on one side up against a wall. After awhile we finally gave in and put our love seat against the fireplace. It made it kinda crowded. It was literally the only way to make our furniture fit. The other thing was there wasnt a fitness center or a play area for little children. That was really the only thing. Other than that we were very pleased with management. Misty is great!! Both managers were really friendly and always so helpful. If we ever needed something fixed the maintenance crew was on top of it and they were super nice. We had a great experience there.
HORRIBLEI had a terrible experience. First off, this apartment home is OLD. It was built in the 70s. You can find newer and better apartments built in 2009 and 2010 for the same price or only a $100 differential. This apartment has a HUGE problem with PEST (Roaches, Ants, Bed Bugs, Fruit Flies, worm infestation in the summer and I think I saw baby snakes). The cabinets are outdated and there are huge splinters and wood chunks missing. Maintenance never fully satisfy request. My A/C broke while I was here on numerous occasions. Management is rude. They would leave harassing notes pestering us for weeks. From the outside it appears that this community is decent, but it has a lot of deep problems. The worst part is they will try to stick you with a huge bill when you move out.
I cannot explain how much I love living here! I have lived here since 2017 and I honestly do not want to move. Unfortunately, my roommate and I just wanted a lot more space and got an amazing offer we couldnt pass up. But I dont have any complaints living at Sona, the office staff have always been there whenever I needed anything. The maintenance was always taken care of, mostly even the following day of submitting a request. I love the neighborhood its in, we would always go on bike rides behind the complex to the parks. The complex itself was quiet and kept clean. The location and price are honestly unbeatable. It only took me 15 to get to downtown without traffic, 15 to get to the domain with traffic and literally 8-10 min for Cedar Park. There are two HEBs within 5-10 of Sona and its just so accessible to 183.
I love here! People are nice and the location is awesome. Quick maintenance and competitive lease.
Lived here for two years only moving because the rent has increased so much that I know I can get a nicer and newer apartment for the rate they want to charge me.The whole staff is great ! from the front office to the maintenance crew. I never really had any issues. The neighborhood is really close to alot of things Domain, Lakeline, etc. Pretty good apartment for the price but there are newer apartments in the area for about the same price.
I lived at Sona for 1 year & 6 months & I loved it! The only reason I moved is because My job. The location is great since it’s located off of 183. Everything you need is right around the corner that includes heb, gym, Walgreens, gas stations, etc. The complex is super quiet and has a dog run, tennis court, and a nice pool. I never once had to report a noice complaint to the office. They have a 24 hour maintenance guarantee so any service request you report are done super fast! If your looking for an affordable nice place to live this is your best bet!
Friendly staff and great apartment. Experience has been pretty fantastic so far!
These apartments are horrible when you try and move out they try and give you this huge bill saying you owe them money. Second of when I lived there a tree branch fell on my car and left a big dent on the side of my car destroyed the back and I had to pay for someone to fix it and when I went to talk to them about then paying for it they said it wasnt their fault. Horrible apartments I had an awful experience living there
If I could give them 0 stars I would. People need to be aware of this apartment complex. Last night a horrible storm hit Austin, which caused many tree limbs to break off causing lots of damage. This is prime example as to how they run things. Not one email or any type of communication to be heard of. Its a 11 am, and I have yet to see them take any course of action to resolve the issue of branches in the middle of the parking lot obstructing many peoples way to work. I had to personally go out their with my sawzall and cut away enough room for my fiance, whos 8 months pregnant, so she could make it to the doctor. This is a prime example of their lack of communication and overall attitude towards us tenants. Future tenants beware.
Nice Place!
They have RATS here
