I just moved from there after 4 yrs of over paying for rent, I have found a 3 bedroom townhouse for the same amount as a 2 bed/2 bath. They constantly had problems with the water, so if you like taking cold baths or no bath at all feel free to move there, also our mailbox was constantly broken into, had to drive to the post office to retrieve mail. The only bright spot was management who the fired, and since replaced.
Worst management and worst service
I have lived here since June and have had a very pleasant experience. The location is everything, you cannot beat the affordable price within that location - super close to the Domain. The community is quiet too. The staff are all very friendly, attentive and respectful.
I lived here for two years, and honestly had a pretty decent experience. These apartments are a bit older and come with typical maintenance issues associated with that. But given that, their maintenance staff were always responsive and respectful, even on a lightly staffed holiday weekend when my a/c went out, and an accidental kitchen flood from a neighboring unit. Life happens, and they were quick to address everything. My one major complaint was one of the office staff who always had the worst attitude which included complaining in front of residents about having to do the basics of her job and lying about mishandling my mail. (I have two contradictory emails from her and another staff person saying two different things about how my packages where handled.)Other than that relatively avoidable experience, I was glad to find another Mission Rock Res managed community when it was time to leave Bradford Pointe and would recommend these apartments if the location and price works for you.
Will give 5 stars, when I get some hot water here. not cool
I just tell you my experience and you decide!I signed a one-year lease and from the day I moved in, I kept seeing roaches inside the apartment, all kinds of roaches!! I asked them and they did a couple pest control visits but even after that I kept seeing German roaches which are the worst! After a month living there, I asked them to break my lease because they werent successful cleaning the apartment and they denied. I had to do a regular move-out with two months notice and paying penalty. I did that because I didnt want to deal with lawyers and moved out of that infested apartment!A month after, I received a move out statement in which they charged me for clear made-up charges and damages just to match all of my deposit! I cleaned the whole apartment on move-out, it was even cleaner than the day I moved-in! I found needles and dead roaches in the carpet when I moved in and now theyre charging me for carpet cleaning! One of the light bulbs was burnt when I moved in and I asked them to fix it. Not only they didnt fix it but also they charged me for that light bulb on my move out! They dont care about residents review they just want to charge you more and more. But I should write this so youll know who youre dealing with!PS: sorry about those gross roach pictures!
I have signed 2 leases and have been happy the entire time living here. The prices are very affordable; the apartments are older but clean, and overall it is a very quiet community. The management & staff are all very attentive and respectful and I have always felt comfortable and welcome here.
Lived at the apartment complex for two years, from the beginning when I walked in the staff were very courteous and were able to process my application and get me approved quickly. Maintenance was prompt and professional with few minor issues. Apartment condition was immaculate and experienced no issues with pests or bugs. Good area to be in as the environment is very safe and people friendly. Overall, would recommend! Thank you Stephanie for providing great service and being resourceful!
Terrible in maintaining the stuff. It took them a month or more to replace the very old mail boxes. Had to spend over half an hour in post office to receive my mails.
Old funky apartments that they over charge for with management to match. Money hungry employees that do not treat people fairly or with respect especially Patricia. Parking is abysmal and I do think there corporate office Mission Rock is extremely BIASED and RACIST as well! Overpriced apartments coupled with dirty premises on top of the fact they have gates that they don’t use! I would not recommend these apartments to my worst enemy. The two star general review should be confirmation enough and I do regret ever staying here. 👎🏽👎🏽
Groundskeeper, Sergio, found and returned contents of my wallet (ID, cards, etc) to Stephanie, front office. Both kindly refused cash reward for the good deed. Great, trust worthy, ethical staff!
DO NOT MOVE HEREI had a strong experiencemy apartment was flooding all the time and I was unsafe there too once some people made damage on my truck and they stolen my stuff while I was parked in front of the camera but they told me that the camera doesn’t work !!!!!!!I had AC problem at summer! There were weird bugs at kitchen! After singing the application they will change and have rude behavior! They concluded with extra charge after move out!
I didnt want to write a review until Ive given it a few months and I have to say this place has exceeded my expectations especially with the maintenance team. I had an AC issue at 2am, wrote a request and when I get home the apartment is cold and a note on the counter with what they fixed(I gave permission to enter). Its not easy to write positive reviews because I feel there is no emotional urgency yet since moving in April 2018 Ive had a really good experience here. The negative reviews almost swayed me when I read them back in April yet the leasing agent Alexis addressed all my concerns and as I walk around the property I see a property well maintained.
SEVERAL TIMES, I didn’t have water for 2 weeks straight! I was promised an upgraded apartment, when I moved in it had old nasty cabinets and the carpet was so dirty and used. The shower was dirty. The maintenance man said it was because they didn’t have time to renovate before I moved in!!! They wouldn’t move me to an upgraded place unless I paid more, even though I was paying the rate for an upgrade ! I was so annoyed! DON’T LIVE HERE!!!!! I didn’t pay attention to the reviews but I wish I had. Horrible place to live!
When you are signing lease contract, there is page about cleaning and fixing rate. for every item there is range for exam cleaning wall 20-70. and this office charge you only highest range, no matter the cleaning is small, only one point of wall for anything. So if you want to lease one this apartment expect around 400$ fees when you want to move out. Also it is so interesting how they treat you before and after lease. Not recommended at all.
I will regret signing a lease with these people for the rest of my time here. Will not be renewing . The amount of fees are ridiculous. If they could charge you to breathe they would . Do not move here please! You can find decent prices for a bigger living space and better quality service with understanding people.
Made a mistake moving here. Probably the worst motels would be maintained better than this! Maintenance was worst! The place was weird with people shouting upstairs and I think I had a very bad experience living here. Wouldnt really recommend. And even worst part was the water shutdowns. Every week we would receive an email for water shutdown. How does an apartment complex have such issues? I lived there for around 6 months and the gate was undergoing a upgrade all the time I lived there (not sure if it finished upgrade yet), It was open 24x7 for anybody to just walk/drive in. Happy the nightmare has ended for me. Happily paid the lease termination charges and ran out of there.
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. This is the worst place I have ever lived, and am glad my lease is ending in a couple weeks. Between the lack of hot water,(or any water at all), not being able to use the pool/hot tub(either because the hot tub is broken, or their newest excuse, that the gate isnt closing), or the chemical smell that was coming through the vents(which it took 3 weeks for them to send someone, so luckily it wasnt toxic), the lack of screens in half the windows, which means I cant even air out the apartment to remove the odor, to the ridiculous apologies, which are meaningless. Not to mention the removal of parking in order to put in an Amazon hub, so that the office staff has less work to do. If I could, I would give this place -4 stars. Cant wait for the form response about how they care about providing the best possible service and experience to their residents, when they cant even provide basic services, such as water, consistently.
Nice place, small apartments, very anti gun. Posted 30.07 as of this review.
I have lived here for 3 years now, and I will NOT be renewing my lease. I always pay my rent on time, and mind my business. Recently I was fined a dog fee because my mom came over to watch my 19 month old daughter who was sick and unable to go to daycare that particular day. My mom brought her 9-year old diabetic chihuahua with her because she cannot leave her dog alone for extended periods of time due to needing insulin shots. My daughter cannot go to my moms house because she has a cat, and she is DEATHLY allergic to cats.On that particular day someone from maintenance came in to check the smoke detectors, and reported to the office that a dog was there. A week later, I received a notice on my door and was being fined. I went to the office and no one was willing to work with me or talk to me. Alexis talked to her superiors who said they didnt care what the situation was. They didnt even have the common courtesy to speak with me. Basically I pay the fee or get kicked out of my apartment. The total lack or respect is beyond me. I have established myself as a reputable resident and this is how I am treated? Thanks Bradford Pointe! You all are freaking awesome! NOT!I can have patience when every other week I dont have water, or when I have to wait to have something fixed after someone finally returns my calls. The pool I havent been able to use that I pay!Worst experience ever!
Do you want to experience what its like to live in a third world country first hand? Want to wash your hair in a bucket with water you had to carry to your apartment? Do you want to manually flush your toilet with a bucket of water? If you answered yes to any of these questions then move to Bradford Pointe where theres no water for days!-------------------------------They never answer the phone. If you want to talk to someone in the office you have to take off work and go in during business hours.
I cant attest to most of these negative comments here so I can only speak from my experience. I have been at this complex for about 2.5 years. I live in a 3rd floor unit so I have a high ceiling. In the time i have been here, the laundry facilities have been renovated and a gym has been added. Car ports for parking and a paint job of the entire complex. The complex is really quiet. The most noise I get is from the cars since i live close to the street side, but thats really during rush hour if i have my windows open. I rarely go into the office, but when I do everyone is nice. My A/C works in the summer & Heat works in the winter. Maintenance came and gave me a plunger & a new mechanism for my toilet at 9pm at night. Grounds are always kept clean..And I havent stepped in any dog poop either. They are really conscious about people sharing the laundry facilities as they place a notice about people leaving their clothing in washer/dryers for extended periods of times. There is 2 pools on grounds. One was closed for a while which was the snaller one but i rarely see people hanging out over there since it has reopened except maybe a few kids. All in all its a cool place close to everything you need. Only downside for me is that it seems to be a lot of familys here at not young professional women for a bachor such as myself.
Worst experience with these people. Would not reccomend getting an apartment from here. They charge unnecessary fees, its hard to get help, and they have roaches. Worst place ever.
It is been more than a month the mail box is not working which caused loss of my several legal documents which were supposed to delivered this month.
Me and my wife visited this place we were looking for a single bedroom apartment, we met Alexis the leasing consultant she was so helpful and friendly she explained every thing so well, Over all I had a very good experience of visiting this place and meeting Alexis . this place has a very good price in that area
I appreciate everyone that left a review about this place, I was looking to signing and after reading all the reviews I decided against it, thanks you for saving me headache and money.yall are the real MVP.
UPDATE: No water, again! This apartment community constantly has issues with their hot water. I have approximately 30 emails dating back to 7/22/2016 of all the times we did not have running water! This is unacceptable!I would not recommend moving here! Safety and cleanlines are extremely important to me and this community lacks both. While living here, I had two rats in my apartment that came from the attic. I was alarmed when I found out there was a rat issue here. The leasing office handled the situation so poorly that I had to hire my own exterminator! My second issue with the community is even more disturbing! One of the residents keeps leaving me scary, sexually explicit notes on my car and on my door. I’m so afraid of being attacked that I no longer want to live here! I’ve gone to the police and the leasing office. The leasing office had the nerve to tell me that “incidents happen everywhere” and that if I was being sexually harassed by one of THEIR residents its a personal problem. They also refused to send out an email warning residents about the harassment but they send out a million emails about liking them on Facebook and charging people fines for their patio furniture. I’m going to attach pictures of some of the notes but they are scary and graphic. This apartment community must also be a horrible place to work too because there has been three different property managers here since Ive moved here.
Worst apartment to live in Austin with the most annoying property manager. I lived there for 2 years. Not recommended. There were cockroaches everywhere. One time, there was a theft and break in to mail boxes and hub. Loosing packages is common here. Avoid at any cost.
Lived here about a year. enjoyed my apartment and everyone was always helpful when i needed something fixed.
The main manager finds ways to scam people by racking up ridiculous fees and fines. The staff and the manager will harrass and fine people as much as they have time in the day. So rude too. Also, good luck with a hot shower...
Don’t move here! Always had no water, yea love washing my hair with water bottles. Maintenance man Sergio was always watching me and my family like we were doing something wrong. And random charges always appeared on my rent. Stay away from here!!!
It is an older community so their are some issues and small but they have newer appliances and its safe and close to everything.
Nothing like being visiting the hood
The location is great and the price is ok. But, we have lived here for a little over a year and one of the pools has been shut down along with the hot tub ( we were told that they would be open shortly when we moved in). The water has always been weird, either fluctuating between extreme hot and cold or so lukewarm that its barely hot enough for a shower. Although it seems they are not willing to invest in fixing these problems, tenants are threatened with fines for items that are not approved of on patios. And now they are implementing a new DNA dog poo monitoring system. Thats right, they have hired a company to swab pooches mouths and test poo that is found outside. Anyone who doesnt pick up their pooches poo will receive a hefty fine. Neither the dog nor patio issue affects us, but we feel that Mission Rock should invest their money in fixing the pool, hot tub and water issues before threatening tenants with fines. We will not be renewing our lease.
I have five years tenancy at Bradford Pointe. There are highs and there are definitely not some high points about living here. The hot water thing was and (is) lately somewhat fixed, yet still ongoing somewhat. Honestly, it did take the powers that be too long to take action on something that is a basic need for living. The latest version of apartment maintenance is semi acceptable and the office staff has been very good to me overall (APM + Lease Agent - I do not know who the current PM is). I dislike the broken sprinkler heads and inappropriate run times of the watering system, especially since we residents get the bill. The addition of the gym and parking lot resurfacing along with the upkeep of the grounds make it a reasonably nice place, given it is 34 years old. The location is the main selling point and the floor plan of my large 1 bedroom is one of my favorite rentals ever. I love my fireplace but shudder at the thought that nobody has ever cleaned the chimneys here in my 5 years, which is a concern. The construction from the 80s left three feet of dead space between each floor meaning I hear no footsteps, or any of the other things you would and will hear in a new apartment. I appreciate the additions of carports although there are none conveniently located to my unit. I enjoy my on-site storage unit, which is rare. The rent prices in Austin are at a place where I cannot understand why people keep moving here and management has not missed any opportunity to raise my rent accordingly, currently a ridiculous +40% more than the original lease 5 years ago (REALTOR Association states the national average is about 15-20% in 5 years). My apartment was not updated at my move in per my request so as to keep my rent lower and it was not re-painted. It did have new carpeting which literally disintegrated and management did replace my entire apartment carpet last year. It currently needs an interior paint job and a kitchen and bathroom renovation desperately, especially since I notice part of my bathroom floor is caving in. There have been some questionable days with residents in the past, but currently overall we have a safer community, I feel, than it was. Its my best guess reading the other reviews - I think a lot of other tenant issues revolve around which building they live. Mine is one of the last built buildings because some of the lower building numbers do look aged and in need of some more significant overhauling. Realistically management will be faced soon with a total rehab since age is happening regardless and to maintain their position as a decent community. In the end, I do recommend Bradford Pointe based on my particular set of circumstances here.
Made a mistake moving here, always had flooding, a lot of bugs and no water
On going issues with not having water and this place is so old I don’t even know why I’m paying $1056 for a one bedroom worst place to live I suggest everyone pay attention to review rating
Sergio the maintenance man is horrible, a bunch hidden fees, the water so many times. Dont move here.
I have lived at this complex in 2 different apartments for 2 years (2010-2012) and still live there. Its an older complex but the maintenance staff are constantly improving the grounds, etc. The area is safe and within walking distance of Walgreens, Wendys, and Subway. There is a bus stop right in front of the complex. The North Campus of ACC is a block away and there is a Valero across the street. Metric Blvd can be daunting in the mornings but it is relatively safe to drive and walk across if youre patient. The complex parking lot is spacious and unnumbered but could use a new topping. The complex itself is quiet compared to others Ive lived in. There is no place for pets to go so that is a challenge although many residents have all sizes of animals. The apartments are well kept and maintenance issues are resloved usually the same day unless its a weekend. The office staff is very helpful, courteous and professional. The pools (2) are ataquate and the laundry facilities are average at best. This complex is very centrally located to most of North Austin and I will continue to live here.
Horrible management and Employees, Avoid these vultures!rude employees that drilled all visitors that came to see me, including towing their vehicles because they were not authorized to park there. My daughters car was towd because it was a convertible and then my other daughters car was towed because it had temporary tags. This place is horrible but mainly because of the morons that they allow to act like Nazis. They have an agreement with a money kickback with a towing company to tow cars at night. So i you live there, hopefully you walk everywhere you go. Avoid this place like the plague.
This is my worst place I live and I find big mouse inside the apartment and every time we have hot water issue
I live here, and it is not safe, the gates of the community entrances do not work, and there are no cameras either, so anyone can enter the community, it is not safe, my partner had things stolen from the car, and from the neighbor they broke the windshield.
I have only been living for 4 months and on Monday April 6 they forced my truck and stole a lot of a tool that was flown for $ 600!So much money they rent and cant put cameras in the back of buildings or a security personIve been living here for about 4 months, Monday April 6, 2020 was leaving to work when I found my truck open it has been forced open and stoled all my work equipment !!! $ 600 worth of stuff, so much money spent on rent and they cant afford to put more cameras or at least a security around the community !!!
I have never criticized anything before but this horrible place deserves it, two days ago I returned from my work at 6 in the afternoon and I find that they were fixing the hot water pipes (in fact we have been without hot water for two days our apartments) and they had all the equipment for them to work connected to my patio to my electrical outlet, which they did without informing me, they were working all day, personally disconnect the power cord and ask them why they had done they answered that the administrator had authorized it, I went to her with the aim of looking for an answer and a solution because that electricity would have to be paid by me, the administrator went very badly towards me with lousy attention and very bad professionalism telling me that for the next they would ask permission, which had only been 20 minutes that she had been present, which is not true because when I arrive she it was not there and they were still working, the mistake was made by them now who pays for that electricity that I did not consume, I am not looking for a reward but they are committing a raid because although I paid a rent they have to ask for permission, I fulfill my duties as a resident And they must take their blame, in short very poor care from the administrative staff and the worst place to live.
