Not bad the building in arlington area could use some work.. I think the ac might be out at this location they had like 3-4 fans running in the main front area witch made it hard to hear the lady working at the front desk trying to staff people ..also the lighting was off in away ..still dont understand why i keep getting drug tested i pass every time dont use drugs seems like a waist of money and time every time im tested i understand though but they dont need to worry about that for me

Beware of this staffing agency! Do not waste your time! Yes, the recruiters (Tamara and Brandie) are very nice and sweet. Tamara will give you this speech about how they are not like other agencies, have trust in them, and will have you working by tomorrow (DON’T FALL FOR IT!). Still, they will mislead you badly by having you waiting and waiting and even attend orientation, take a drug test, take your picture for your badge, and later discovering that the positions at the company is not even hiring. I have NEVER experienced this before with an employment agency being so unorganized. I would NOT recommend anyone to them. Elwood was continually giving me the run-around, and I feel so naive for wasting my time and trusting them. You will be better off seeking employment elsewhere!

Brandie and the team were very professional and engaged once I walked in through the door. I applied with them on Friday evening and I received a call within the next business day to come in for an interview for one of their positions. Once I walked in, the staff worked very swiftly to ensure that I completed all the necessary documents before my interview. Everything was step by step and a staff member was engaged in answering questions that a potential hire had at a station. Out of the previous staffing agencies that I have dealt with, this one would have to be the best! Turn around times for contacting back after the interview were quick and if anyone is looking for a position, I would recommend reaching out to Elwood Staffing and tell them Sara P sent you :)

I was supposed to get paid today. My pay card said $0 balance when I called it, I called the company they PROMISED me it would be deposited by the end of the day and that they would get back with me. So I proceeded to go on about my business for the day and went to school. It was busy at my school as I am a cosmetology student and today is Friday. By the time I called my card again it still said 0$ balance and its already after 5pm and now they are closed for the weekend. I want my money ASAP!!! Also the hiring process I had to go through with them was the worst. The first time I did the paperwork, as soon as I got back home Brandy had called me and said she lost the papers and that I had to go in and refill the papers out. I didnt even bother. Two weeks later, I got a text about a job opening so I called them about it. Brandy once again said yes were hiring for that job immediately come in do the drug test again even though I had already done one two weeks prior to that. So I went in did another urine drug test and they gave me a badge and said they would call me for the start date. It was ANOTHER 2 weeks after that before they called me to start. Very unprofessional, the lady at the front desk (I believe her name is Tamara, not sure, young black lady) she has a slight attitude whenever you try to tell her anything. Its best to stay away from this company, which I definitely will as soon as I get my money for the 3 days that I worked for them because they are so unprofessional and unorganized that they didnt even know the hours of the shift they hired me for. I signed up for a shift starting 4pm-1am. I start the job they tell me thats my training schedule and the actual hours were 6pm to 3:30 am. I didnt agree to that. I go to school in the mornings. Find a better agency.

I was at your Arlington office this morning the 25th of February. The welcome l received as l walked in made me feel even more confident of the prospect of getting a job. The recruiter that interviewed me was very professional and respectful. She is simply an asset to Elwood staffing.

I came into Elwood Staffing unsure about what my next move would be in my career, but proactively searching and certain that I didnt want to be caught by surprise without a job like some of my peers that were laid off unexpectedly from my current job. The lobby was empty when I came in, but quickly filled up. One thing I was instantly impressed about was the fact that the receptionist was attentive and multitasked through the crowed so that everyone was extended professional courtesy. She knew how to handle the volume and she also found time to encourage an applicant to go back to college. I liked that. Then, having that down time between filling out my app and waiting, I was able to see the relationship between the employees and the interviewers. Most temp agencies are client advocates, but Elwood balances both. They are friendly and forward with you. They let you know what they have and dont just do an intake if they cant help you to fill a quota like some agencies I have experienced. I like Elwood Staffing. I will definitely work with them in the future.

The staff is very professional! They help set you up for success with your future career. Other staffing companies will just put you where needed, not this company! As long as you keep your nose clean you should have no problem finding a step towards your new career.

The wait time was excessive but the lady that interviewed, Tamara was very patient, well spoken and helpful for that i was very appreciative.

I came in one day waited for an hour and thirty minutes and went home. I decided to come back two days later and waited for another hour. Two of the reps was an hour late and when they finally decided to show up to work they sat down and began eating. After the lady ate her Sonic she decided to pop some popcorn and eat while four people sat their and waited!! Terrible business

Elwood isn’t a real good temp agency to work for at all. They would let you work at a job knowing that your assignment had ended a day ago. They have a leak of communication when it livelihood....trying to make a honest living.

Didn’t get the job because I failed my drug test but I know MANY people who failed their drug test and have been employed by Elwood staffing. The staff pick and choose who they want to offer a job to. The ladies here are very unprofessional and ghetto. They talk amongst themselves about personal matters right in front of you or shout from their cubicles. They’ll have a whole bunch of people upfront needing assistance but yet the staff will sit in the back and talk for a good 15, 20 minutes about bs ! this location is really unprofessional and a sham they need to step it up or better yet get new staff it’s ridiculous and for it to be majority black women y’all are embarrassing . Won’t even look out for a “sista” with two young kids who desperately needs a job because of a failed drug test from PRESCRIPTION medication that they wouldn’t even look at or listen to I should go over their heads and call corporate!!! Smh step it up ladies

Professional service

This is the absolute worse temporary agency I have ever dealt with. First I was just looked at and walked by for the 1st 10 minutes, left not knowing what to do next in the registration process, recruiters speaking to each other over the cubicle walls about personal matters. These ladies are very unprofessional, boarder line ghetto. At first sight I was glad to see sistas running this Arlington office. When all was said and done I remain disappointed in these young ladies. I admit to being unemployable through this agency because of THC in my system but so did the young ladies with me (they are employed by Elwood now). Never throw my people under the bus so I said not one word. I was not worried about the urine test because ivI never failed. Just know Elwood is the ONLY agency failing potential employees for THC. I do thank you for the opportunity and your time.

Other then the chick at the front desk with a major in astrophysics you were cool and all an deserve a better position at a better company...but every one else including julie are no good.

I wasted an hour and half coming in for a scheduled interview. They make you go through a lot of paper work that is not relevant to your job position and make you watch a video. One of the worst temp I ever come across. One of the recruiter act like oh that is confidential when I ask what is the name of the company. They treat you like elementary students. Stay away unless your desperate for work.

Went in last Tuesday I believe took a couple hrs to fill out paper work..said they had a place theyd like to send me never heard back.i called yesterday was told still waiting on background check.Called another temp agency 2day went in did everything and start Monday..Elhood was a waste of my time..

Was gonna come here to look for a job but after the reviews I read, I’m not even going to consider it.

TERRIBLE. AWFUL. HORRIFIC TREATMENT OF WORKERS.LOW WAGES. INTIMIDATION AND THREATS. RUDE STAFF.I wouldnt want to work for Elwood Staffing if it was the last company on earth. I am sure they will follow this review with a bunch of fake positive reviews like many other companies when they get a negative online review but dont believe those glowing reviews if they should pop up. Elwood Staffing offers awful, low wage, unbearable jobs which are often many miles away from their office. I can also guarantee you that not many of their workers are going online placing reviews. Most probably dont even have home computers. Most of the workers are poor, black and I went to an orientation when I was desperate for a job and in the orientation which was non paid and at their site they threatened the hires. We were told if anyone was caught with a cell phone at the companys site the cell phone would be taken and smashed. The white woman even said I hope yall have insurance because we will be destroying the cell phone to see what information you have on it. I looked at the faces of other people who were there and they were just shocked. This place pays so little they feel they can only pull a certain caliber of an employee and that is someone who is desperate, ignorant and exploitable. There is no reason to threaten us and speak to us like were five year olds. It was ridiculous.Second, The background check they do for these $7.25 to $8.00 an hour positions is just over the top. They use a background checking company called Asurint - that goes back way farther than seven years. The company goes back FOREVER. Evidently theyve found a loophole in Texas law that allows them to do it and even if the matter was a minor misdemeanor when you was a teen and you were never convicted of it, they still report it if it shows on the courts website.So the best thing to do if you are desperate enough to work for these saps is to not report it if there is no conviction. I wouldnt even report all the places I had lived. Because in each one the background check company will type your name into the towns court website to see what charges were filed. they dont even care that they were dismissed.SECOND, ALL THE STAFF ARE WHITE. They NEVER DIVERSIFY THEIR STAFF. They may have one lone black temp helping them sort papers, etc. But this place wont hire black people to work in the office no matter HOW ACCOMPLISHED you are. If you are black, it doesnt matter if you have a Degree from HARVARD. You wont be offered an office position working around them. Texas unfortunately has a LOT of companies like this. Small, white owned firms who believe all blacks and Mexicans deserve LOW WAGES regardless of our QUALIFICATIONS and only white people deserve to be paid well.I say stay away from this company. There are other companies that will hire you if you need a job and will train you. These companies are ALWAYS HIRING. They are Novo 1, Connexions, Convergys, MMC Group, teleperformance (aka Aegis), Telvista, etc. They pay more and you wont be driving across Texas to get to a jobsite that only pays $8.00 an hour. Youll be working in an office and not standing in a warehouse with some slave driving maniac standing behind you shouting while they work you like a mule.Blacks in Texas need to stop being so desperate. These white folks are keeping half our wages and laughing all the way to the bank. My cousin who is biracial was hired at a temp agency in the DFW area and she told me that the blacks all agree to work for minimum wage but the Hispanics turn it down. Even when they have no experience. So the agency already knew to offer the blacks only minimum wage. this depressed the heck out of me. We need to step our game up. Work for ourselves. Honestly. They will continue to knock our heads unless we stand up for ourselves.

There policy isnt realistic you dont get a warning for falling asleep even if it was one time didnt get a chance to tell them I was sick and thought for sure it was the medicine
