This was my 3rd time visiting this nail salon. The first time I requested dip powder the design was nice but the dip powder itself was lumpy on a few nails. The second time was nice but only lasted a week since the sides were filed so low that the dip powder was compromised so it started separate from my natural nail. All of my appointments were with Alex, this last time she was busy and I should have waited for her or come back another day. As you can see in the photos the dip powder is not covering my entire nails in the corner/sides. It looks like a bad polish job but no polish was used. $40 is a lot for a nail job of this quality that didnt include a manicure. I will continue my search and will not visit this salon again. On the plus side they are pleasant and paraffin wax on my hands was divine.

I gifted my fiancé a mani (dip powder) and lip wax, pedi that together cost a total of $111 and that is not including the tip to be exact. Her and I will never mind paying for quality but this dip powder to my understanding would last about 2 to 3 weeks, witch is why she wanted it. However in less then a week the dip powder just started chipping off. If I pay more then $100 I except quality products used and quality work. She is still in search of a quality nail tech and will not be going back to glossy nails because of her experience and the complete waste of money! However I will say the lip waxing and pedi was not bad. She did love the hand renewing therapy after the mani as well. I will have to also agree with the other review about them speaking their language after customer asking for something specific, not that other languages bother me because I speak a language other then English my self, it’s just it’s plain rude right after a customer asked you something because it makes them feel your complaining about what they just asked you to provide which they will add a charge to and you will be paying for. She just will NOT be going back for the dip powder as she didn’t find the product they used or work they did was quality again as it chipped in a few days after.

Always a great place to pamper yourself with a mani, pedi! I moved recently but will pass several nail salons to get back to 1010! Also you dont need an appointment and the staff is always friendly and very competent. All the safety standards are strictly adhered to.

I went to get a pedicure done and unfortunately the service was not good. It was so bad that another customer walked in for a pedicure and was done before I was even halfway with my service. I asked if I could get my heel scrubbed and instead of getting a professional straightforward answer the staff members went on to speak in a language I did not understand. (Which doesn’t bother me as long as a clear response is communicated back to me) The nail technician then responded to me by saying “so confused” and said the service would be en extra $5.I usually go to this nail salon but the service provided recently was substandard and even though I was willing to be patient, the nonchalant response shown by nail technicians was unsettling.

I highly recommend coming here for any type of service! They are absolutely amazing and friendly! I definitely plan on returning for my nails😍🥰

I was able to get a pedicure appointment on short notice, very clean business, and the massage with pedicure was wonderful. Feet and toes are very happy!

The prettiest nails i’ve ever seen! and the best pedi!!!

There was three things that I wasnt happy about. I had an appointment at 6:30 and when I showed up all the seats were full and I had to wait 20 minutes before they even started. The second thing I couldnt get the lady to understand what I wanted her to do. I wanted the front of my nail tips sealed with Polish and topcoat to keep them from chipping. And the last problem was she didnt get all the way to the back and sides of my nails with Polish. Otherwise they were nice and polite and the rest of my nails looked okay

I get so many complements on my nails thanks to Melina! She is a true artist! I love that I can just give her a vague idea and she creates something beautiful. Theyve got lots of services that I plan on using in the future too. I would always recommend any place that has Melina!

This was a gift for my Mom and she absolutely loved it. Shes good back for sure!

I got a full gel set. T took his time and was so gentle and friendly. M did a great job with the color and design I wanted. I havent gotten my nails done in years. Some places are just in a rush to get through but Glossy did fantastic and I would highly recommend them.

This is my favorite place. I always feel so welcomed and pampered. They always take their time & make you feel valued, not like just another number they are trying to get out the door as quickly as possible. As long as I continue to do my nails, this will be my salon. Highly recommend it.

I had relaxing pedicure. Janet was absolutely PHENOMENAL! Everyone is nice and professional. I walked in and they took me immediately to the pedicure chair. Janet adjusted my seat and turned on the massager. Wonderful experience! A hidden gem in Apex.

Normally do not leave reviews but wanted to recognize Ts thoroughness during my pedicure and dip nails. He did an excellent job! Very pleased! But even more than that, I was SUPER hesitant about going to ANY salon during this pandemic. However Glossy Nails is very vigilant about hygiene and being Covid compliant. There are plexiglass type barriers at every station so during nails AND pedicures you are protected. I LOVE that! This is the ONLY place I will go during this pandemic and afterwards. Thank you Glossy Nails!!

***I am updating my review to one star because of the owner Melina. When I called Melina (because she asked me to on her response), she asked me Why would you complain online about our services. I explained to her that I did a review and why I did that review. She wasnt interested in fixing the mistakes, it seemed like she was more concerned about arguing about the review. And just so that she is aware, I dont have to write a review the moment the situation comes up, so yes, I waited a couple of weeks after I saw how my nails held up to write the review. After that conversation, Melina apparently updated her response, which is fine, but it feels to me that she is just trying to be right when my nails were clearly not done well! Prior to seeing her update, i was going to give her shop another chance, but i probably wont now, and if I do, she wont be doing them. -End of Update-******I went here based off of the good reviews, but I’m not sure if I wold return. I made an appointment with the owner’s wife (Melina I think). I got the SNS dip powder on my nails and I didn’t like that my nails were dipped straight into the powder. Most places I have been use a cup to dip your nails and dispose of the remaining powder. When I asked her about this she said her customers are clean. The dip powder that was used on my nails cracked and my nails chipped within a week. I was very disappointed because I had to get my nails re-done at another shop. The woman that did my nails was nice and talkative, I’m disappointed that my nails didn’t last. I’m not sure why my experience wasn’t the same as everyone else’s, but I was disappointed.

I loveeee my experience, Kenya is great highly recommend!! They checked my temperature and sanitize everything felt super safe. Kenya did a great job on my pedicure and I will definitely be back for my full set. Everyone in the salon is super nice & helpful!

Wonderful service and great experience. T was friendly and did an excellent job with my manicure and pedicure. Very clean salon and they use disposable liners for each pedicure! They offer you a beverage and massage chairs. I was a walking in but they also take appointments. I would recommend and will use them again.

Hands down best pedicure in the Ralegh area and it was priced well. Worth every cent. Go here and treat yourself to a pedicure.The manicure turned out nice but it had to be fixed by the owner. She did a great and though my nails turned out a bit thick they look nice.Point off for higher price limited color selection compared with competitors. I had to ask thay they did not dip my finger in the existing dip powder jar for sanitary reasons. It also too them a long time to finish my mamicure due to the corrections. Their prices are comparable to close salons but not competitive with my favorite.I will be returning for pedicures, though!

Melina has been doing my nails for almost 2 years and I’ve been in love with my nails every single time, she takes care of my nails so well. She is so sweet and always makes sure all her clients are 100% satisfied. The rest of the staff is just as amazing. When you come in to glossy nails bar you feel very welcomed. This is also one of the few nail salons that you can go into and not smell acrylic, I’m always so impressed with how much they care about their clients. Glossy nails bar is hands down amazing and no where else will treat you or your nails as well ❤️

The best nail salon around by far. The time they take to make you feel welcome and the time they take for each individual client is impressive. Their pedis are the best I have ever had. And the salon itself is so clean and beautiful. I highly recommend them. And I drive about 25 minutes just to go here. Well worth it.

Enjoyed my visit this afternoon, it was just what I needed after work! Very calming and relaxing atmosphere, tons of colors to choose from, and staff was also incredibly nice and helpful! I am extremely happy with the service I received today and will definitely be returning in the future! :)

Love the place.....I am especially impressed that they use plastic liners in their foot baths. I havent had a pedicure in years for sanitary purposes so Im very excited to have found the Glossy Nail Bar and I will return for more services.

I moved from out of state and have had a hard time Finding a new nail tech. Melina does my nails and I am absolutely in love with them. She is extremely creative and talented. She never disappoints and she is helpful with letting you know what’s best for your nails. She is the first person who has been able to do my nails without them popping off or breaking a few days later. She doesn’t just do your nails as a job, but she does it as a passion and it shows in her work. She has a wonderful personality and I have found my permenant nail salon and nail tech.

I met Melina 2 years ago at her previous salon and never went anywhere else. She brought my unhealthy nails back to life. she listens and makes recommendations on whats best for me personally. When she purchased the new salon she worked really hard to make it amazing. She and her husband completely renovated the new place while she was 7 months pregnant. she is the hardest working lady I have ever met. No up selling or doing unnecessary services.
