The management has recently changed. Both the managing company & on site management. When the new leases went out if I was able to move I definitely would have after reading all the changes that was in new lease. None for the good. I recently got sick and my mobility has become extremely limited. So I rely on communication with phone & email. And the new management really doesnt make much of an effort to communicate with the tenets that are home bound. & the last management had a system when it came to mail. This one obviously doesnt. They miss placed a package that cost me close to 100 dollars. And theres nothing I can do about it. Except have my packages mailed some place else which I did.

Coming by to take a look at the rental property and this is the 1st impression that I get.... I think not. Cant seem to take care of your appearance on the outside, I couldnt imagine what its like on the inside. Horrible living conditions.

New management at this property is horrible and so unprofessional and rude. It’s impossible to get anyone to answer the phone there. I am a former tenant and personally loved the old staff better. FYI if you move out they won’t answer your calls when you call to see if you have a final bill then you will get a surprise letter from a collection agency saying you owe money. When confronting the office letting them know I was never mailed a bill they advised that they don’t send final bills they send straight to collections.!!! I have never heard of this. It’s so unprofessional. So glad I no longer live her and don’t have to deal with the horrible ignorant staff in the office.

This is a great place to live with really great people! I really do like my apartment - cant believe it is so affordable.

Rio Volcan is definitely making a great turn around! I spoke with the leasing agent she knew exactly what she was doing, she didnt beat around the bush she made my search super simple and easy i spoke to the manager right after and he assured me on all the questions i asked. I have never had an easier experience with an office . Im looking forward to moving in ! I drove around the property to see how things are i didnt see any excessive trash at all! Plenty of parking and great neighbors! ! !

Ive lived here before, and came back management is amazing and willing to work with you and very understanding great area to live in, apartments are a great size. Wish community would come together and keep our areas clean and not be messy. Love the place and the management thank you .

This place is the worst place I’ve ever Experienced in my life. The women Who takes care of the application process is very rude and unprofessional.

The staff here are amazing! They have exhibited so much patience and compassion toward myself and my family that they have made our experience as tenants here that much better! I am very grateful to have met and interacted with the wonderful staff here- thank you ALL so very much!

I have to say the staff here is always so nice. I love how quiet it is and how nice my neighbors are. The pool is always clean thanks to maintenance going out of their way to keep it up. Whenever I need anything the staff is always helpful. The school distract and helpful staff is the main reasons why I am going on 4 yrs living here.

For the most part staff is kind and caring but there are a couple of ladies in the office that should not be working directly with customers. Rude and no compassion when things go wrong that are out of OUR (the tenants) control and we are upset. It’s kind of an oh well type of attitude. The upkeep of the buildings have obviously not been too good if the air conditioning that I have never used is so bad that they can’t fix it. I’ve never been told “oh well, there’s nothing we can do” when the A/C isn’t working and there’s 90 degree weather. Very disappointed.

I have lived here for 6 years. While there have been a few bad apples as residents, Rio Volcan always remedies the situation as soon as possible. The staff is helpful, wonderful, and caring. And the maintenance staff never fails to greet me with a smile and a wave.

The Rio Volcan Apartments are awesome! Everything from the helpful and welcoming staff to the nice and clean environment to my two bedroom apartment! I love walking into the office knowing Ill always be greeted by the friendly staff and any concerns I might have they are there to help. The apartment is very spacious and the layout is a perfect fit for my roommate and I.

Recently I had visit the Rio Volcan Apartments in search for a new home! The office ladies were very welcoming and helpful! Property was clean and the apartment floor plans were just what I am looking for! Very spacious, stylish & CLEAN!

My mother lives there. And although the apartment is nice. I worry about her surroubding neighbors and the people walking the grounds. She has encountered people following her as she walks her dog, once being approached for money, people selling drugs out in the open. She has had random people knock on her door and try to force their way in her apt. Shes even been attacked by other peoples dogs whom arent on leashes. Thankfully her lease is nearly up so she can move into a safe area and apt with better security.

Beware! I cant wait for my lease to be over. Cops are here every day. Loud parties all the time. Dirty yards. Staff are horrible and rude. Clueless and never have an answer for anything. Water goes off all the time. Refuse to fix repaires. Please go somewhere else!

Haven’t had my ac or water heater working for over 1 week! Maintenance claims everything to be working but we have to call 3-5 times a day to get it back up and running! Terrible service! Lady’s in the office very unprofessional!

Question Has anyone ever found any needles at the playground? or in parking lot i want to move in but thats the only thing that scares me cause i have three small children thank you! how are they with getting things done when they need to be fixed

In response to management commenting about a crime that was committed on RIO VOLCAN APARTMENTS--their response was untrue. Bldg. 20 had a party that broke up at 4:30 AM, a party go-er was shot in the chest, re then runs into our subdivision across our property, falling in our evergreens then continues running across our driveway and collapses in front of our driveway whereas the shooter followed after him and was going to finish the young man off when our neighbor saw through his security cameras and put on his security lights and ran out to assist the young man in front of our driveway. Our home and neighbors were on lockdown until 11AM, by the police and CSI investigating and talking with witnesses. A fire truck arrived to wash away the blood on our street in front of our house. The police understood the shooter ran back into the apartment in bldg. 20 and police were breaking down the door. TERRIBLE experience; always issues with residents in bldg. 20

Such a great staff. They are as pleasant and professional in person as they were on the phone.

If I could afford to get out of my lease asap I would! My apartment constantly smells like marijuana from my neighbors, Ive been threatened with a gun and I just went to check my mail to find my box broken and several other mail boxes broken and packages opened. You need a key to get in the mail box gate so it has to be people that live here doing this. Overall I guess its okay.

Great apartments and amazing staff!

It was a horrible experience, and all I was going in to do was tour a 1 bedroom apartment not knowing the one bedroom was rented out that morning. I traveled 2 hours and no one could call and explain it had been rented out maybe something along the lines of were sorry but that apartment has been rented out would you still like to keep your appointment and tour a 2 bedroom? It was a waste of my time. Not only that but my daughter and I felt like we were an inconvenience to the two rude female staff members in the office. I asked if I could tour a 2 bedroom instead of them offering the tour to me even knowing it wasnt in my price range. I was very taken back by this and wondered if I wanted to move into a area and be treated this way. Very rude and u professional.

I moved to Rio Volcan from Baltimore, Maryland, sight unseen, largely on the enthusiastic report of my brother and sister-in-law who live nearby and had toured the complex. *****Throughout my long-distance application process, the Rio Volcan staff worked with me patiently and diligently, promptly sending me the forms. These young and energetic folks are as pleasant and professional in person as they were on the phone. There were a few minor pre-existing problems with the apartment; the expert maintenance staff promptly dealt with them. So let me begin the review with praise for the five-star office and maintenance staff. *****[Critique: The application forms required by the corporate ownership are extensive and--in my opinion--poorly designed, excessive, and overly complex. Note: NOT the fault of Rio Volcans office folks! Indeed, the Rio Volcan staff were a great help in helping me navigate through the application maze. So dont let the application process scare you away! Believe me, its worth it in the end.] *****The residents are friendly, too. People smile, say hello, and wave. Less than two months into my residency, Ive had good, extended conversations with two next-door neighbors. Theres a good range of ages, from retirees (myself) to college students (one of my neighbors) and families with children. Its a good sign that the kids play together. I like that Rio Volcans residents come from diverse backgrounds and cultures. People are responsible and considerate: Dog owners pick-up after the pooches. Ive never been bothered by loud music late at night. The residents watch out for each other. (Example: I left my car headlights on; a neighbor came by to warn me before the battery drained.) I feel safe here. *****The apartments are west of the Rio Grande, located in a suburban setting and fronting on Ladera Drive, a tree-lined boulevard with a bus stop near the entrance. Everything Ive needed so far--prescriptions, groceries, gas, office supplies, furniture, banking--is within 5-minutes drive. (Indeed, the only times Ive crossed the river--so far--was to enroll at the VA medical center and go to an Isotopes baseball game.) *****Rio Volcan has a commercial gardening service; the plants, bushes, and trees thrive. There are conveniently-located and deftly-camoflaged trash bins which are frequently emptied by garbage trucks; no smell, no pests. Mail pickup is via keyed boxes near the office. There is adequate parking; I doubt Ive walked more than 30-40 feet from the car to my apartment steps. *****I live in a second-floor Single unit, which is the perfect size for me. The closet space is exceptional. Plenty of well-placed electrical outlets, telephone hookups, and cable hook-ups. *****My only critiques of the Single unit: (1) The kitchen and bathroom are somewhat narrower than I would like. (2) The kitchen counter-space is limited and awkwardly arranged. (There is, however, room near the dishwasher to place additional kitchen furniture and so expand the counter-space.) (3) No overhead light in the living room. Nevertheless, in my estimation, these minor defects are small potatoes compared to the many pluses of the apartment, the staff, and the community. *****The balcony is a plus-plus feature for me. Mine happens to look toward the Sandia Mountains. Its also a perfect place for cloud-watching and people-watching. Residents use their balconies for many purposes. Lots of gardeners. An older gentlemen across from me pursues a carpentery hobby on his patio. *****All during my 2,000-mile drive from Baltimore, I wondered what Rio Volcan would be like. Now I know. And, believe me, Im glad I live here.

Hate this place. Thank god Im moving!!!!

Wow amazing the ineptitude of the office staff ... after waiting a whole week to view an apartment by appointment. Simply say that the apartment previously mentioned, tell me that it was already reserved! Lack of ethics, lack of everything,,, sometimes I think that these people do not take into account that they have a job as sensitive as it is to work with clients.
