Living at Mountain Run was a complex experience. The first apartment we moved into was on a lower floor and it was truly a nightmare. It was incredibly (unfathomably loud) at all hours of the day in a lower apartment. Yet, the property managers understood and let us transfer units (part of what I appreciate about the property). We transferred to a beautiful upstairs unit that was literally the nicest apartment I have ever lived in. It was gorgeous and so wonderful to live in. I appreciate the attentiveness and care the property managers give and their responsiveness, especially with maintenance requests. I highly highly recommend to live here, but only in an upstairs unit, as the downstairs ones can be incredibly disruptive to exist in. I appreciated living here a lot.
Fernando responded very quickly after hours to help me with a pipe leak. He was nice and very helpful in getting it fixed.
I want to start off by saying that my apartment is very nice and updated. Every time I put in a work order for maintenance to come by it is always fulfilled. The reason I am rating this place a 3 is because of the customer service. I moved in about 7 months ago and when I had moved in I never received an amenities/mailbox room key. I have tried to let the office know several times that I never received a key, but they just tell me that I am lying… and that I will have to pay money to receive the key. I don’t really appreciate being called a liar especially when I know for a fact I never received the key. I am never late on my rent and abide by all of the community rules, but it’s a little sad how I cannot even receive mail at my own place of living or enjoy any of the amenities I pay for.
Our first two months here at Mountain Run have been great. We moved from out of state during the pandemic and things went very smoothly with help from the staff. Here’s hoping the vaccines allow more of the shared amenities to open up.We are enjoying the spaciousness, quiet, and the closeness to restaurants and grocery stores. The cats love it too. 🐱Updating to say Im not thrilled my car was just booted. Were still in a pandemic. Im having issues retrieving my car title from out of state due to admin backlogs. NM requires the title because of all the car theft the past few years. I was out of town when the policy came down, and Have not been able to get my paperwork together for that and above reason.Also--APD isnt enforcing registration at the moment and yet the apartment complex is making it their mission to enforce this? Im not taking a paid, covered spot. The car is not a hazard or inoperable. Its insured. This is so incredibly unnecessary. Will be moving out in December if I can help it.
Worst place to live. Never update the pool chairs, all the all the lounge chairs are torn and weather beaten so good luck laying down on those. They never add umbrellas to the table that have the holes for them. I think there is one good chair and one umbrella that actual word(two umbrellas total)Never clean the grill or put new bristle brushes to clean the grill so take your own grilling utensils. They can up the rent add more fees that if you add them all up come out to a lot more that a public utility light or water bill will be. They are in a contract to boot cars and I’m sure they get a good percentage. These people only care about one thing is rent on the first.
I have lived at Mountain Run for quite some time. I have found the staff to be courteous and the facility to be generally well maintained. The reason I’m writing this review is it to do a shout out for Miguel Buenrostro. I have worked with Miguel several times and since I’ve moved here and I have found each time he is courteous and efficient. I don’t have many needs from the maintenance staff, but when I do, I expect a prompt response. I’ve never been disappointed when Miguel has answered the call.Last week I had a flood in my apartment. I was pretty calm when I first saw the flood, but a few moments later water started gushing and my living room began to flood. My stress level went way up! Miguel was about an hour away. He promptly got somebody to come in and start vacuuming up the water and more importantly, calmed me down. His positive attitude and efficient way of dealing with the situation made all the difference. The next day when my washer dryer was being replaced, Miguel and Jerry Fernandez came in to make sure everything is done properly. Both of them deserve kudos for their great attitudes and hard work.I hope this review gets to the right people. I want Miguel and Jerry to be recognized for the great employees they are.
I REALLY enjoy living here! Ive been renting for over 12+ years and this is by far my favorite place! i really struggled finding a place prior to moving here and I wasnt sure if I would even have a home at all. Luckily I found this place and I feel safe and at home! I am REALLY appreciative of the staff for working with me through this difficult time we are all in and being very patient and cooperative with me. I really appreciate Leahni and Evelyn for going above and beyond and being their every step of the way. Maintenance is really quick and cool and gets things done on time everytime. I REALLY want to give a special shoutout to Evelyn for being more then amazing and working with me, in all my years of renting I have never worked with someone so patient and understanding, she is super cool and she definitely deserves a pay raise and promotion! I live on the third floor and I love it! Thank you Mountain Run for letting me call this place home!
Aside from moving in being a little stressful and the office girls seeming a bit rude at times, I’ve had no true complaints with this place. I’ve had no need to interact with the office since I moved in. It feels safe, my neighbors are nice, the units are well maintained and a great value for the price, the rent is fair in today’s market. The office staff doesn’t harass residents about minor things like I’ve experienced in other apartments. The one downside that needs to be fixed is the parking situation. Tiny spaces and not enough. If you have a truck, good luck. You will definitely need to pay for a covered spot. I am 5’3 120 pounds and have had to literally squeeze sideways out or my door at points because some of the spaces are just that small.
Fernando Maintenance very professional, friendly, & efficient!! Got the job done better than I expected, very happy with a job well done. Very clean, left no mess behind for me to have to clean up!! 110%
Maintenance is really on their game. Had an issue, it was resolved very quickly. A nice quiet area, my dogs and I like walking and feel safe. There is some people who don’t pick up after their dogs which is a little frustrating, and because I work late hours I have to park a little further sometimes. They have security or a cop on duty sometimes which makes me feel even better because my boyfriends car was broken into one night.
I have lived in my apartment for almost 3 months now and so far I have had no problems. Any concerns or questions I have had have been promptly addressed by management. The apartment was very clean when I moved in and there have been zero sign of bugs. The location is great as it is close to grocery stores and restaurants. It is also close to the foothills making it easy to get in hikes often. Its a quiet neighborhood with not a lot of concern for crime. My only issues are that parking gets full in the late afternoon/evening, which is expected as people come home from work and I do wish there were big recycling dumpsters. The only ones available get full fast as they are the residential sized recycling bins. But other that these two things, everything has been great.
This apartment complex is amazing! Our apartment is very clean and the property is well maintained. There was never an issue with bugs which is a big plus for me! The maintenance people are very quick to help. Also, most residents are super friendly. The area is safe and very lovely. We are so close to many stores and restaurants that we can walk. The ladies from management are always willing to quickly help us with our concerns and needs. Before moving to Albuquerque, I heard bad things about this city when it comes to safety. Being here at Mountain Run, I always felt safe! Also, being so close to the Sandia mountains is so beautiful. I would not live anywhere else in Albuquerque!Jessika R.
Mountain Run staff is professional and respond in a timely manner to any emails or calls I’ve made. The property is clean and quiet. I feel safe walking around. The apt looks like the photos advertised and I’m very happy here. I highly recommend.
Work order was fulfilled on the day and time I had requested. Jerry & Miquel were polite and got the job time in a timely manner. Thank you!
It is a great place to live. There is a smiths right next to the apartments so it is very convenient if I need to get some groceries late at night or whenever. The staff is really great about coming and fixing anything you need fixed in your apartments such as lights or getting rid of wasp nests. The place is kept up pretty nicely. Maintenance workers are always cutting the grass or cleaning up around the apartments.
Fernando in maintenance did an amazing job fixing my dryer! He came right after I put a maintenance request in and fixed it very quickly! (:
COVID has closed many of the amenities like the pool, weight room, theatre room, and business center. However, the good news is that they do arrange alternate amenities. For example, for the lack of a pool, just turn on the shower, and eventually the tub will fill with enough water to float. To make it happen quicker, flush the toilet, it seems weird but it works! I assume that this is to be expected since that repair isnt considered an emergency. On the plus side, youre also close to shopping, and the office is very quick to notify people of break-ins.
Huge thanks for maintenance Fernando for getting our bathroom problem resolved in a speedy, considerate and respectful manner.
Grounds were kept neatly, staff was friendly and prompt and prices are affordable for the area. You won’t be disappointed!!
I love living at Mountain Run Apartments. I’ve been here a little over a year and a half and I don’t have any complaints. I have the nicest neighbors and I never hear much noise from my neighbor above me. Any request I’ve had for the management or maintenance has been answered very quickly. Thank you for making this a great place to live!
I moved to Albuquerque from out of state 6 months ago, and I have loved living at Mountain Run. It was veryyy difficult trying to decide on an apartment living 1,200 miles away, but I’m very happy with my choice of Mountain Run. The apartments are very nice, the amazon lockers are great to have, and the staff and maintenance staff are awesome. They are always very quick to answer questions, and the maintenance are quick to fix any problems! Also, the proximity to the grocery store is amazing. The only issues I would say are parking (and that’s rarely) and people not picking up after their dog.. it’s not that hard and the complex even has several stations with disposable bags. Other than that, I would honestly recommend Mountain Run to anyone!
This place is very nice. It has a great walking area for our dog, and feels like we’re away from the city atmosphere. I love that smiths is also within walking distance.
Been here for a little a year now. The staff here are very friendly. Work orders away get done. The Amazon lockers and grocery store next door are a nice bonus. Overall nice facilities and good service. Highly recommended.
This apartment complex is very well situated. Our apartment is within walking distance of several good schools, a large grocery store, and nice parks. All of my interactions with the office and maintenance staff have been positive. They have been very responsive to my calls and emails. The complex is relatively well maintained. The only negative things I can say about Mountain Run are common place for Albuquerque, there is some property crime (mostly car break ins), the secured mail box area has been broken into several times in the last 6 months, there is limited parking, and many pet owners do not clean up after their pets. Overall we are happy living here.
I moved to Albuquerque 8 years ago and this is my second apartment. I was scared to leave my first one but have found so much comfort at Mountain Run! Even walking my dogs at night I feel safe which of huge. The staff were amazing when helping my boyfriend and I apply even during a pandemic and had answers to ever one of my questions.
I have lived here for two years and it’s been great. Everyone is so nice, the staff is amazing and if there is a maintenance problem they resolve it quickly. Highly recommend, it’s a very nice area and very nice apartments 🙌🏼
I have lived here for a little over a year and overall it’s been a nice experience. This is my first apartment but I’ve enjoyed it and every time we’ve had an issue maintenance has always come to fix it in a timely manner.
Love the location it’s close to work and has easy access to grocery stores, conscience and a beautiful park. The staff has always been kind and responsive to our concerns. Would recommend for a small family or couple.
I have lived here twice! Perfect service, girls in the leasing office are always so pleasant! The maintenance are great, get things done when they need to! All around great!
The maintenance team is very nice and get thing done in a timely matter!
One of the great pleasures of Mountain Run is its great Maintanance Staff. Recently, I was reminded of the quick personal service and attention to detail that Maintance through Miguel and Jerry were able to deliver. My refrigerator wasnt working properly; immediately after triaging the situation, Miguel and Jerry began the process of helping me remove my entire larder, as well as move in a new refrigerator. I was reassured how quickly the new fridge would cycle over. Best of all, the process was efficient and clean; thirty minutes from start to finish-including the quick triage of my problem. I had no mess to clean up from having a fridge quickly hauled up to my apartment and set up; nor was there one from my larder being unpacked and repacked. Miguel and Jerry are great examples of that personal service you can have should you live here.
Love it here. Beautiful, quiet and extremely friendly staff. They are very attentive and resolve issues very fast.Chris Fernandez
This apartment complex is amazing. I have no problems with contacting the office with troubles within the apartment. I receive emails when my packages have arrived or phone calls when a work order needs to be completed. Ive only had minor problems with neighbors, but that is not a problem with the complex. Overall I am satisfied with my service.
Fast and thorough service! Thanks Team!
Overall I am happy with this apartment complex. This complex is well maintained and its located in a good part of town. I would like to see more security measures in place. I had a motorcycle stolen here last year so having a security camera at the front entrance would have helped identify the vehicle that stole the motorcycle. This apartment complex has a lot of traffic in and out of the front entrance so maybe they could consider installing a video camera at the front. I understand the apartment complex had nothing to do with the stolen motorcycle. It was probably just some opportunistic criminal.I give the maintenance team a 5 star rating. The maintenance is awesome here! If you have any issues or malfunctioning appliances the guys handle it perfectly. I had a washer break a few months back and they swapped it out with a brand new washer/dryer combo. The new washer has lowered my electric bill and it uses substantially less water than the old machine.
Wonderful place to live. Office staff is willing to help you with anything you may need. The maintenance staff is very prompt and will even come on the weekends. Close to the grocery store and there are many restaurants near by.
I recently moved into Mountain Run Apartments and have nothing but great interaction with staff and maintenance staff. I needed the garbage disposal fixed and they sent someone in less than 24 hours and replaced it with a new one. The grounds appears clean and safe. Close to great stores and restaurants.
I’ve been living here for almost a year. Actually since quarantine started. I’ve enjoyed it a lot. The area is beautiful and perfect to walk the pups. You don’t hear a lot of commotion from the street. There’s a lot of parks and eating areas surrounding the apartments. The way they’re dealing with COVID-19 protocols is very nice. Whenever I have a problem with any maintenance they try to fix it quickly. I’m sad I have not had a lot of time in the gym or swimming pool here due to the pandemic. Only downside is parking is tiny, sometimes it’s hard to find a good spot. -Mireya
I lived here for a year and a half. I had to leave abruptly for work but the management was great covering the re-lease of my apartment unit. The area is very convenient with the shopping mall next to it, inner parts of the complex is very quiet, and it’s very affordable for its location and quality (no apt nearby can beat it).One caveat was that my building was quite old and could hear upstairs neighbors’ move around but... this was also inconvenience due to me having to work from home, and the neighbor also.
I dont even know where to start. Maybe I should talk about how theres literally zero parking if you arrive home after 6:30 pm? Or, how about the fact that for about 6 months of my lease they charged for common area electricity without producing any PNM bills to back up these charges? I could also talk about how when I had a package incorrectly delivered to my old address, they were not helpful in the slightest. However, the cherry on top really came today! They sent my bill for $23 to collections because they transposed numbers for my forwarding address. This is AFTER I attempted to confirm my address with them, and they insisted that they had the correct address on file. Do not move into this apartment complex. You can find the exact same quality of unit, with much more competent and kind office management elsewhere. Photos attached of my intent to vacate notice and the bill that I received today.
Before you apply, you should know that they also bill for community area fee and community electric and this is ON TOP YOUR RENT. They were unable to tell me how much it would be monthly because it fluctuates. Once I found this out and I backed out of the lease, I lost my deposit. Id believe those other reviews saying theyll squeeze as much money as they can. They also would not let me see the inside of any apartments at this time... while other complexes are doing this? This place seems shady...
My and my roommate moved to this apartment last year. After a horrible experience with our previous complex the Q, we were set to move in to ottavo apartments. On move in day we found they gave us the wrong apartment and refusswd to fix it so we were left with no choice but to find a new complex in a weeks time. Mountain Run Apartments became our HERO they not only got us cleared and ready for move in, in a weeks time, but were so helpful and friendly in the process. They really helped us out in a time of need! And both the apartment and our experience here has been amazing! Its a friendly and great environment to be in and the apartment truly does have a homey feel to it.
Mountian Run has been an awesome place to live at! I love the location of the apartments and the quiet community.
I want to thank Fernando for going above and beyond to help us pick up a package that was delivered at the wrong address.
Ive been lived here for 3 years i love this place very good maintenance and service ... they are very friendly.
Faith maybe me incredibly uncomfortable. I can’t believe this place hired her but she turned me off from every renting here. She lied multiple times during our entire interaction. If i could help anyone from renting at this place i hope this does it. Gross!
Mountain run apts are a great place to call home. Maintance is top notch and the office is always willing to help you if needed and always freindly. Ive lived here for 4 years now and enjoyed everyday.
Staff is very friendly and answer all your questions, great place to live and very clean
We have been living here for two months. So far it has been good, the apartment is nice and well taken care of. Maintenance team is amazing! The place is quiet and the neighbors are nice. Our only complaint is that there is absolutely NO PARKING
My partner and I have been here for 3 months so far and were pretty happy I must say. We love the area. It has everything you need and its a safe part of town which was a priority. Interactions with maintenance have been great. Parking is horrible, we had to end up renting a covered spot for $35 extra a month otherwise there is literally no parking on weekends after 7pm. Covered parkings are also super tight. Thankfully our car is small. We were hoping for an apt with a fireplace but ended up in one without, although it does have the laminate floors and stainless appliances. The washer quite dryer is small, but we have one in the apartment so I wont complain. We live on the first floor, the floor above us is creeky. This is the 4th complex Ive lived in. And IDK if the person above us weighs 300 pounds or its just the floors but they are loud. Fortunately theyre not home often so we deal with it. There are costs for everything. Conservice splits the bills for water, trash and public space electricity which is added to your rent every month. No utilities are included. Theres are a lot of dogs, we have a small dog. So having puppy poop areas close bye is nice. So far no issues with anyones pets. We plan on staying here a few years unless things change. The staff is nice and very helpful, they respond quickly to calls and emails. Neighbors are nice as well. They have Amazon lockers for packages which is very convenient. I cant comment on public spaces as they are currently closed due to the pandemic but they look fun and we hope to use them soon. All in all a great place to live, just wish the parking was better and there werent so many additional unexpected costs.
Overall, not the worst apartment complex I’ve lived in, but definitely not the best.Positives:- Victoria at the office is nice and mostly helpful.- the actual apartment is fine.- price is good.- really nice location with a grocery store within walking distance.- maintenance is great. Usually they are quick to come out and usually fix it the first time.Negatives:- you can hear everything your neighbors do. Our downstairs neighbors were having parties every weekend before they moved out. Literally made our walls shake until 2-3 am.- the landscape outside of right in front of the office is terrible. The trees are never maintained so we constantly have tree branches scraping our windows.- no storage outside the small linen closets and medium sized bedroom closets.- zero parking after 6 pm. You have to walk across the complex late at night, past empty covered parking spaces. The parking spaces are also TINYYYY. It’s almost like they are all compact spots. If the covered spots were cheaper, it would be fine, but they are way too pricy so no one can get them and valuable parking sits empty.- office representative: literally Victoria is the only one I will talk to. One time, I went into the office (prior to covid), the two girls out front were busy with other people and the manager I’m assuming was sitting in her office. I was politely waiting for someone to become available. After about 10 minutes, the lady in the office got out of her chair (I thought to help me), but she just wanted to close her door so I didn’t go in there. Rude.- we pay for community electricity, but we can’t use any of the amenities. Even prior to covid, the hot tubs were always closed. The “yoga room” or movie room, whatever it is now, is always closed. The gym is always closed or when it was opened prior to covid, the equipment was broken. The pool is closed due to covid. Which also means that the grills are closed.
Apartments themselves are actually decent and maintenance folks are all really nice. Day to day a nice place to stay but as soon as it comes to dealing with the management things get really rocky. They are not very good at communicating and are very stand offish. There are a couple nice ladies who seems as though they mean well. While there are others who get a condescending tone pretty quickly and are a nightmare to work with. Heard from some neighbors they had the same experiences, just seem as they though really don’t want to help and make things easy on tenants.
I have barely lived here a month and I already am very dissatisfied with my experience with Mountain Run Apartments and the management there. Someone entered my apartment WITHOUT MY CONSENT AND WITHOUT ME REQUESTING A WORK ORDER. The problem that was fixed was NOT an emergent issue, and not to mention MY ITEMS WERE RUMMAGED THROUGH. I am a single female and this is VERY unnerving to me that a man was in my apartment without my knowledge going through my belongings... I called the office about this issue and Victoria is a NIGHTMARE and gave me the run around as well as being just plain RUDE. Faith swears they take these things seriously, but I’ve been waiting TWO WEEKS to get this issue resolved and I keep getting the run around! This is absolutely unacceptable! DO NOT MOVE HERE.
Maintenance staff, especially Fernando are great. Always has time to say hello when wandering around the property.
Just moved in and i absolutely love it. Managements has been great so far compared to our last apartments. Its a beautiful place to live. I have no complaints here
Define corporate office is here and there are a bunch of children that dont care about there members. No wonder there is a great overturn. The smiths is great but the owners of mountain run are garbage. Dont rent from these people.
You may think this place is nice by first appearance but it’s not. They find tons of ways to add on hidden fees and charge you crazy amounts for nothing. Maintenance is can’t repair things. The office isn’t helpful. You can hear everything the person above you does. If you live here you must get a top floor or you will hate your life living here. Had problems with neighbors and office refused to do anything about it, even with proof they were breaking rules in the lease. Wish I would have been warned about this place. Don’t do it.
Was having problem with kitchen window not opening within minutes problem solved. This maintenance tech is the newest addition to the staff and has always been very helpful and always is prepared with any tools on hand so no waiting. Is professional polite and great with my dog thats important!
I applied for this place in December. I put down a $100 deposit. They didn’t approve me, and I’m supposed to get my deposit back. It’s 2.18.20 and I still don’t have it. I keep getting the run around from Victoria. I’ve called several times to speak to a manager and every time I call she’s conveniently on the phone. They are waiting for the check to be returned before issuing another one. Really?!? It’s been 2 MONTHS! I can’t get any answers. Really ticking me off. This place is SHADY SHADY SHADY!
When i lived at mountain run apartments i loved this shopping center its a one stop shop for pretty much anything you got kellys liquors, smiths, 2 bars, dry cleaner gym game place for kids tutor place for kids subway and dairy queen need i say more always well kept and every shopping place moves quick because its a hidden gem in my book
The front desk staff is great here. Victoria was my consultant and she has been patient, genuine, and kind throughout every step of the process. The apartment itself is beautiful and has been very quiet. I love the Amazon package wall, I dont have to worry about not being home its placed in a locker and Im sent a code that opens a door. Mountain Run is by far, one of the best apartment living options in this part of town.
Fernando and Michael are best maintenance team every at this location. They were professional, courteous, knowledgeable and always ready to give a helping hand. The outside banisters need to be updated, currently old wood, with peeling paint and of course I did get some lodge in my hands a few times. The apartments was good and I had a few good neighbors. The front office staff was pleasant and when a work order was entered they would call back to see if the work was done and if the tenant was satisfied. I rated 4 stars even though they are working with a older site and home office needs to give this site funds to compensate for the needed updates. It’s the maintenance team that makes me give this site 4 stars.
Problem was not fixed
Moved in a few days ago, seems pretty great. Noticed a few maintenance issues when I looked around. I submitted a maintenance request in and they sent someone over the same day to take care of it. The apartment is nice, the grounds are nice, the staff are nice... so far 5/5 stars.
So far living here has been very pleasant. Already on my second year lease and the only problems so far have been noise from other tenants and people parking in paid spaces. Office staff is super friendly and always willing to help.Maintenance here is outstanding! The A/C shut off on a Sunday recently and the on-call maintenance tech was here in less than 30 minutes. The new Leasing company is really doing its best to make this a better place for tenants, and it shows.
Loved my stay at Mountain Run. The location is great if you need access to the mountains and local shops/restaurants. The front office is quick to fix maintenance issues and very patient with first-time-renter questions. The pool was a nice plus during the summer. No complaints.
It’s okay, probably my biggest complaint is that there is NEVER parking after 9:30pm so if you work late then you’re out of luck. People double park here all the time so technically there are spots available, you just can’t park there since there is no room and the spots are already small. So just be prepared to walk a distance at night to your apartment since people here do not park correctly. Our ac went out and it had to take them 3 times to come out and fix it since the first two guys didn’t do anything, so the third time they finally fixed it. I never really hear the neighbors so it’s pretty quiet. I just wish the parking situation was better.
So I just want to start outlining the positives about Mountain Run Apartments first...-Washer/Dryers in all units-Well laid out floor plans (I personally had the Santa Ana floor plan and felt it was pretty spacious for my dog and I)-Stainless steel appliances-Convenient location-Leahni & Evelyn are the two best employees there and provide superb customer serviceNow, the reason why I gave Mountain Run two stars-While the apartments facing Eubank look great, beyond the offices (located at the front entrance) the exterior is not in great shape.- A portion of the blinds on the interior of my unit were bent. I placed two work orders and both times it was not fixed. This happened yet again when I placed a work order for the electrical outlets to be secured more tightly on the wall. There was (still is) a significant gap between the outlet the wall, which could cause a socket blow out if it’s not properly remedied.-And forget about customer service (again, unless you speak Leahni or Evelyn who are absolutely amazing at providing exceptional customer service). When I would call for a question regarding maintenance requests, questions about payments, or even just simple rundown of protocols/ policies for moving out, I would get get a rude response from whomever answered the phone stating that she was just a leasing agent and could help me any further and I would have to wait for a call back. And by the way it doesnt matter if you call or email the typical time for a response back would be 3 to 7 business days. Which lead to more frustration and I would have to keep following up.
Fernando and Michael with maintenance are very kind, knowledgeable and always quick to fix things. My heater stopped working and less than 2 hours after the submitted request they were here to fix it, its usually the same with the other requests I have submitted. I have never had to wait more than 1 day. Evelyn in the front office is also amazing. She has always been prompt and given the best assistance regarding leasing and other questions. The only downside is that my car was broken into and I was told they would up their security since it happened to 2 others (that i know of since the person who took my report told me that it was the 3rd time they had been here that day.) I have been here since June 2019 and have not once seen any sort of security.
Breakfast at Cinnamon Sugar and Spice Cafe was delicious! Service is always courteous and prompt. Always busy. Lots of take away baked goods to temp you to take home.
This is a miserable place to live now that the new management has taken over. Exterior lights are burned out and never replaced which makes me scared to walk to car/apartment at night. They hire some security company to come boot and tow cars for not having current registration stickers, even when registration is actually current. They also tow for parking in actual parking spaces by their containers which are NOT posted with a no parking signs. They allow maintenance personnel into my unit without permission or notice. I came home shocked to find a man in my apartment who I wasn’t expecting and nearly pulled a gun on him, poor guy wasn’t an employee of the apartments either. The actual apartments maintenance is not great either. My AC bill in summer was $300 and wouldn’t cool my apartment below 80 degrees. All they did was change a filter and said that was just how it worked even though for the past 5 years I’ve lived here it wasn’t ever an issue. They don’t spray for bugs anymore so little tiny ants are problematic in summer. And another annoying thing, which isn’t their fault, is the local post office delivers packages to my neighbors all the time.
This is a shout-out to Miguel and Fernando, the two best maintenance guys anyone could ask for! They are prompt, they know exactly what they’re doing and I completely trust them to come into my home.
The office staff is friendly and helpful. Work orders were placed and addressed quickly upon small move in issues. This is a nice quiet complex.
Both my moped and a neighbors Harley were stolen from property 2 months apart, Management poorly operates and has little consideration for the needs of tenants. We never missed any payment or caused any trouble while living there. We were informed that they would charge us for dust that was on the freaking 12 foot high ceiling, it is extremely disappointing that they operate their business as such. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice pace to live to look else where for a safer and warmer experience. hope yall apartment searchers out there find this helpful.
While the front of the complex along eubank looks pristine, the back is not taken care of nearly as well. Also, the amount of stinky dog poo that builds up throughout the landscaping is horrifying (to see, to smell, and to accidentally step in). It doesnt matter that the inside of my apartment is actually quite nice as Im too embarrassed to have guests over. And NO I wont contact the leasing office as all of my interactions with the office staff (after moving in) have been awful. Infinity thumbs down.
Victoria Chavez is amazing! Always willing to help and gets back to you in a timely manner. The apartment is great too!
Please take your hard earned money for rent elsewhere. I lived here for a little over two years. Watched a few different management companies come and go. The current Corporation FPI, does not care. Make sure you put all communications on paper in order to have proof. Emailed and sent a letter to Corporate with complaints and never heard back. The manager acknowledged that the water spilling out onto my kitchen floor was due to a backed up sewer line. Also, had sewage fumes when running dishwasher. Nobody should have to deal with that. It was an ongoing problem while living there. Neighbors I spoke with were having problems too once this corporation took over. There was mold on my bathroom cabinet too. Only positive was the location.
Thought this place was great when I moved in, it seemed to very convenient, but after I was there only a few months it became a nightmare. First a balcony beam started falling off and out took them 2 months to address out. Then my AC quit mid summer, couldnt live in apartment with 90+ temps at night, and they took 2 weeks just to put in a portable AC unit which only brought it down to about 85. I had to live at my boyfriends because it was so hot, was another 3 weeks before they fixed it, all the while the portable AC was running up my bills. Then in July there was a leak in the roof that cause a hole in the roof of the closet, they fixed the leak but left the hole, even thought I reported it monthly since it appeared. The office told me every time I reported it that a work order had been placed but nobody ever showed up. Finally in December somebody came by and left a noted saying they would be back next week to fix it. Meanwhile this hole is letting cold air, bugs, and spiders into my apartment. Now I am finally over my lease and am over joyed to leave this place. Additionally water pressure is pathetic and something is wrong with the sink as water comes out very cloudy, dont feel safe drink it, and the oven fan stopped working IDK how long ago. Didnt even bother reporting those because I dont see the point in reporting issues here, they dont address them.
My wife and I moved in July 2016 and the apartments were great and very well maintained with the old management. The first year we lived there was great. Then near the end of 2017 a new company took over and did a terrible job and the office was very disorganized and the staff was rude. Then the last 6 months we lived there the management that is there now took over. They had the hot tubs and pool closed all winter and opened them just barely at the beginning of June. They are both supposed to be open year round by the way. The complex was not very well taken care of and looked ugly. Definitely not like it looked when we first moved in 2 years ago. Then after we moved out we got a bill in the mail saying we owed $66 to the apartment by the end of July or it will be put into collections. My wife and I spent over 4 hours cleaning the apartment to make sure it was good as new when we left. We swept and mopped every room more than once and vacuumed every room multiple times. We even wiped down the baseboard and swept the porch. We were still charged $55 for them to clean the apartment. I was also charge renters insurance for july even though I dont even live there anymore! Then last but not least they charged me $196 for utilities. ( Water, trash, and sewage) I asked why and they couldnt give me a straight answer. All i was told at the end was if you want to dispute it then go ahead but this price is final and you owe us $66 thank you. That was the manager. So this is why I give them a one star. I would have done zero but of coarse that is not an option. I suggest you think twice before moving into these overpriced apartments.
I’ve been living at MR for two year now and I’ve never had any complaints until now. I’ve been deal with an employee named Felicia that has shown little to no professionalism towards myself. I’ve dealt with Felicia on two occasions and she seems to be very disorganized and is always extremely rude. I’m very concern with the level of customer service I’ve received from MR and hope this is an isolated incident. If this turns out to be a regular occurrence I’ll be forced to consider other living options. Get it together MR, please screen your new employees.
The complex is well kept and the staff are nice. Finding parking at night was often an issue. It wasnt uncommon for me to park on the other side of the complex and walk back to the apartment. This is an issue I have noticed with many other apartment complexes in ABQ. Other than that, the units were well kept, have modern appliances (at least in the unit I was in) and the location is unbeatable!
The place is really great! We love it here. The only problem is people not parking on their side of the building other then that its fantastic!
Just a shopping mall... most places are closed or empty bit theres a grocery store, a liquor shop, and a Walgreens.
Great location. Ive lived here 3years and havent had any issues. Maintenance is quick. Plenty of llazy dog owners not picking up their pets feces. Other than that it is a great place to live.
It has a lot of wonderful businesses, not only in Mountain Run, but also around the corner in The Shops At Mountain Run.
Purlife got in and out quickly clean inside.
Very nice community. I enjoyed the pool a lot.
Ice cream store icicles is horrible. The dairy Queen was great
Lovely stores. Found good buys, go and enjoy!
Okay here is a run down of my experience so far.Pros: The updated apartments are visually appealing with the updated floors and crown molding. The maintenance team is quick and polite. I live on the first floor of a three story building and for the most part it is pretty quite. The pool is clean and fun to hang out at.Cons: sliding doors and windows are old and dirty, which might be why my utilities run 120-150 a month. The complex has a bad roach, ant, and spider problem. They do spray once a month but I find at least 2 dying cockroaches in my apartment A DAY, even though I keep my apartment very clean. The parking is really tight and if you come home late in the evening, you have to walk across the entire complex. The gym needs upgrading because most of the machines dont even work.
IT LOOKS NICE FROM OUTSIDE BUT IT IS THE ABSOLUTE OPPOSITE, BAD MANAGEMENT, LITTLE RESPECT, AND THEY HAVE THE WORST MAINTENANCE IVE EVER COME ACROSS------- PLEASE PLEASE IF YOU WANT A SUPERB PLACE WITH PEACE OF MIND - DO NOT THINK OF MOVING HERE EVER..... I WISH I HAD READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE I MOVED IN...BUT IT IS ONLY A FEW MONTHS THEN I WILL MOVE OUT
I lived here for a little over a year and never had any problems. The office staff were always friendly and helpful.
I am only rating as 1 star because zero is not an option. When we moved in, everything was great the company managing the property changed shortly before we left however, and thats where things went WAY south. My residency ended on July 1 but knowing how moving goes we knew it would be hard to be out by that date. We pro-rated our rent for the Month of July and also were promised a $300 credit due to referral of a new tenant. We paid Julys bills, moved out of state, and never heard from them again. We let it go when we did not hear about the security deposit as we have a dog and figured the pet cleaning etc was probably used in the deposit. Fine.Today, 9 MONTHS later, we get a call from a collections agency stating that we owed over $500 for rent and cleaning fees (all of which were paid when we left, checked out, keys handed in, zero balance confirmed). Not only did they not send us ANYTHING in writing. They waited 9 months to send us to collections without attempting to contact us despite having both our email and cell numbers on hand. Due to waiting 9 MONTHS we accrued 15% interest on what they said they owed us. They also went back on the promised $300. I guess in New Mexico you can just do that.I actually really liked living at Mountain Run. I loved going to the pool and then over to Specs for their green Chile soup. But do NOT LIVE HERE. There are plenty of apartment complexes just across the street that likely will not be complete crooks the way the new management at Mountain run is. Im really disappointed because this really taints my memories of an otherwise good year.Again. Under no circumstances should you rent from these people. But do make specs a regular hangout if you live across the street.
They take absolutely forever with package distribution. Not to mention intruding on the wrong apartment without bothering to check who is on the lease for authorization. Faith is RUDE and completely incompetent in her job that being said she is not a solution based manager at all and uses the words Im sorry to fix any issues on the premises. I will NOT be renewing my lease here and I discourage anyone from living in these apartments.
Got shopa Im happy shopping .
I didnt even know they could fix screen door latches. Put the work order in on Monday and by Wed. my screen door was fixed. Thank you maintenance team.
Management company is useless. They will regularly accuse you of not paying rent, despite receipts. Simple maintenance takes multiple calls. The mail room was recently broken into; many tenets had financial information breached. There is never any parking after 5 pm and you are not guaranteed a single spot, despite your lease. They want you to pay extra for a reserved space even though they all sit empty every night. No empty spaces? Tough. They will boot your car. If there was any justice in this world, this complex and its management would be run out of business or sued to oblivion. I wouldnt recommend it to my worse enemy.
The only thing good about this complex is the convenient proximity to nearby shops and the pool. Its not a safe area: I had two bikes stolen from me while I lived there, both of which were securely locked to one of the few bike racks, and the mail room was broken into and vandalized several times until they finally put up a fence/gate. Dont try taking a shower or doing your dishes at night because when the sprinklers come on, water pressure plummets. Parking is a nightmare at night unless you want to pay ~20 dollars a month for a private spot. Finally, despite 3 noise complaints about our neighbors who apparently watched independence day or die hard every night on full volume (floor and walls shaking), nothing ever changed, nor were we told that contact with them had actually been made. I will say that maintenance was good, and usually had things fixed (our washer, disposal, and AC) the day after we submitted a request.
