Although we didn’t chose this apartment to be our new home, Estrella was the absolute best! she was so helpful and answered all of our questions. she even stayed after closing to help us fill out the application forms! touring the apartments were really nice! we really liked the inside of the apartments! 10/10 would recommend having her help you!

Im out looking for an apt to rent, I pulled into LAa Entrada and decided to look up reviews first. Im glad I did! Theres so many negative reviews, Im getting outta here! I certainly wont rent here! Thank you everyone for your honest reviews. I for one appreciate it! Saved me a nightmare experience

Ally the manager is very hostile and aggressive. Stole security deposit after entire rent was covered, was told apartment was good but once it was time to pay security deposit claimed there was damages and refused to give security deposit back. All in all horrible experience with la Entrada and would recommend finding housing else where. 10/10 will steal from you, currently reporting to the BBB and have video proof of apartment after move out.

I wish I could not even leave a star......This was the worst place to live! The management is terrible definitely not professional. We were forced to leave because of bad maintenance of a building they have. I feel bad for anyone who rents out any apartment in building two. Water issues literally lost all of my personal property and had no where to live. The building was with out water for 7 days....they were no help please do not live here its not worth the trouble!!!

La Entrada had been the WORST apartments we’ve ever lived in. We have had several work orders have yet to be completed. Staff does not care about anything. They are very rude and answer your calls with attitude. They do not answer your phone calls so you have to call 20 plus times or walk down to the office and bang on the door to talk to anyone. Our air conditioner has gone out, it’s been 3 days of calling the maintenance and office for it to be fixed. I had to call maintenance hotline and was told that it has to be 88 degrees outside for anyone to even come look at the air, I called the next morning, after 6 calls and 7 hours someone finally came, didn’t even look at the air, he left a fan and said they would come first thing Monday morning to fix the air. It’s now 4:00 PM on Monday and no one has come. The front office said there’s only one maintenance man and he has other work orders, even though we were told we’d be fixed in the morning. This isn’t the first time these apartments lied to us. I would never recommend these apartments to anyone.Cars get broken into constantly and nothing is ever done, cops are always here, and staff is just horrible.

I wish I could rate this place negative stars. I havent lived here in a year but apparently I owe almost $4,000.00? For not re newing my lease? Living here was the worst experience of my life and I paid almost half of that every month for a one bedroom apt with out any lights or a lock on my front door for over the first 5 months of living there.

I was extremely excited to see about living there. She definitely put a bad taste in my mouth. It’s a shame. She talked to me like if I was bothering her all day. Since this apartment complex apparently deletes peoples reviews, I will repost mine from over a year ago.I have called and called and called and called. I have put in so many maintenance request for my now dilapidated looking apartment that Im wondering if theres even staff in the office. My laundry room door is completely off, my screen door for my back patio has been broken since I moved in, I tried to get my dishwasher fixed for almost a month and a half, and when they finally fixed it, it broke less than two weeks later. They keep telling me they will have somebody fix ittoday but nobody ever comes. Ive been having this issue since I moved in in June. Not to mention Im not supposed to be paying utilities with my rent, and every month they have the audacity to attempt to charge me for my utilities. They are scammers.Update: after finally getting someone to come and replace my dishwasher, Im upset to report that it too has broken down, and they have no plans to fix it due to the quarantine. My shower has been getting so extremely hot, even on the cold setting, that I have been getting burns all over my body. They fixed it and it is even hotter. They will not fix it, and it is not an emergency at this point considering theyve already fixed it. Im having thoughts of suing this incompetent property.

Do you like bugs? Well they got em’Cockroaches everywhere. They come in from under the sink, any crack in your apartment really,they are out side when you leave. And no matter how much roach killer you use they don’t care.

My roommate and I have been living here for a 1 year lease, I’ve lived in many different apartments throughout Albuquerque, but I can honestly say this is by far the worst. The maintenance for apartments is never fulfilled, currently have 3 holes in my bathroom that plumbers had to make in the wall to fix the drain (Took 2 months for them to get the plumbers out after I finally went down and banged on the office). The management team is completely useless, they do nothing to help residents and often tell them to take care of problems with the unit themselves. My apartment was robbed as well (apartment has security), but according to management they’re only there to handle problems WITH residents. Do not rent here, save yourself a year of grief.

ZERO STARSTo start we were promised a remodeled apt with a W/D. When we moved in we found ourselves stuck with their oldest model unit, that was NOT remodeled and did not have a W/D. The continued to charge us for the remodeled price and did not offer to relocate us to a different apt. The apt had clearly not been occupied in a long time nor had in been cleaned after the last tenet left and the walls and appliances were stained with gunk that after hours of scrubbing still could not remove. The appliances are so outdated that they either don’t work or barely work after being tinkered with. We are on the 3rd floor and after the amount of rain and snow we got our roof started to leak and is not falling apart and is bound to cave in at any point after the next rainfall. We’ve submitted over 30 request for this to be fixed over the last 5/6 months and NO ONE has even come to look at it. Additionally our AC doesn’t work, I have a tendency to overheat and pass out frequently. Because of this I requested that this be handled as an “emergency maintenance” it’s been two weeks of submitted request and calling the Apts and unsurprisingly no one has even come to look at it. When you call the office they continuously express that they have zero control over maintenance as they “make their own schedules”. There is also no way to get ahold of maintenance (apparently the office has no way of contacting them either, and the emergency maintenance number is just the front office so if you attempt to contact them it also must be within office hours) DO NOT MOVE HERE literally take your chances anywhere else.

Negative stars if possible. This a continuation from Monterra apartments (same company). So after my whole bathroom ceiling caved in at Monterra, I was relocated to here, and also charged more rent for no reason when I was actually quoted less. Being in a position without a home I had not choice. Long story short living there inhibited me from being able to have a joyful life what so ever. The list goes on of the pure unprofessionalism of every staff member I encountered ( which was a new person every month). I would not want any family to endure a fraction of the PTSD this living situation has left me with.

Posting as a current resident on 1/31/21, LA Entrada has one of the most inadequate and unprofessional management teams I have dealt with. Within the first month of living at this complex, my roomate and I were charged double for our monthly rent without explanation as to why. After numerous attempts to reach out through phone and face to face meetings (Over the course of months), I was able to get an explanation of The company above us charged you and we have to wait for them to remove it, but you wont have to pay. This was now two months ago and I am still showing a double charge without being fixed. On top of which, there has never been someone in the office to answer phone calls, and never once returned a message. The work order process to have things fixed in your apartment could be a month long process which ends in you paying out of pocket to repair something yourself. And on top of all of that, there has been a problem with auto theft and damage throughout the complex, with little to no help from the office on how things can change.

Not a good place to live. If you are fine with mediocre at BEST, this is the place. The actual unit is not bad at all, perfect space for one person in a 1-bed floor plan, but a lot of red flags popped up when reviewing this place to live, that i should have paid more attention to: i wasnt given the option of looking at my physical unit before signing my lease, the front desk said my unit was move in ready but there were roaches everywhere, the HVAC system was not working (it was also summer time), and the system glitched out on my account so i couldnt do my move in checklist. The HVAC system took two months to actually repair, all with complete disarray on figuring out what the actual issue was in the hot summer. Everytime there was a problem, it took days/weeks to get an answer from the professionally managed office, which the people dont do anything there anyway, apparently the computer handles everything which i believe is why there are so many accounting errors, or just used as an excuse to blow things off. These people truly do NOT care about residents happiness despite what they may say, evident when i brought up an issue with the office, and they (Desiree) scolded me for calling them unprofessional. If they truly did care, i would love to have a conversation with the corporate manager about the love i felt when talking to the office. If you dont care about being happy where you live, like getting charged erroneously and threatened if you dont pay, coming home after a long days work to a roach-infested, hot/cold apartment with incompetent imps as managers, La Entrada is the place for you. LOOK ELSEWHERE.

The management office, specifically Desiree, are absolute disingenuous, lying scam artists who deliberately lie about fees. We were told we pay the Admin fee of 150 with a card online and if we withdrew our application, wed get the refund right back in the same way. She lied to our faces - it comes back in a check that can take SIX WEEKS that arrives at their office that you then have to go pick up. For a fee you paid ONLINE with a card. One of the most unprofessional experiences Ive ever had with a property manager, and she did not wear a mask when showing us the unit and I had my ONE YEAR OLD CHILD with me.

ZERO STARS!! I am beyond fed up with this place and October can not come fast enough!! Every other month I have to blow up the office phone just to get someone to answer or respond. I dont understand why doing your JOB is so difficult! They are trying to charge me almost $400.00 more than what I have ever paid in the two unfortunate years I have lived here. I called as soon as I saw my Rent Bill showing I owed $1,140.50. I spoke with Kayla in the office and she stated she didnt know why the bill was so high and she would need to have her manager give me a call. Later that same day I received ANOTHER bill showing I now owed $1,251.93!? The work day went by and I never received a call form anyone, so I had to be the one to reach out... as always. She then stated that her manager was still in this meeting that somehow lasted 7 hours and would need to call me back. Hmm. A few more days went by and still no calls. I called and spoke to the Manger, Victoria, and she had no idea what I was talking about and said she would need to call me back.. and guess what? She never did, surprised? Dont be. Now here I am one day before the 1st of September, trying to make sure I pay my rent on time and dont receive a late fee due to the offices incompetence; and lo and behold, I STILL CAN NOT GET AN ANSWER AS TO BY MY RENT IS SO HIGH! I will NOT be paying the amount in my Resident Portal nor will I be paying any late fee I know they will try and make me pay, because that is just how this business operates. This is not my first review, because I am trying to help future residents.. Do not fall for their low move in specials, I promise you will have more problems than what this place is worth. There are much better communities out there, find them.

The only problem here is the STAFF!!! Only one staff member is nice but she only works part time... the assistant manager has NO peoples skills at all and so rude and the maintenance doesn’t finish the work orders and don’t wear a mask when coming in..The staff have no respect for the residents here at all and no care either.. If the staff did their jobs right and professionally this would be a nice place but the staff make it awful!!!!

This was the worse experience I have ever had renting. Many pipe issues. Water was turned off no fewer than 10 times in my unit in the 12 months I was staying here. You do the math. The management is COMPLETELY unresponsive. Environment is bad too. Noisy neighbors and people dont pick up after their pets. Too many other apartments in the area are WAY better for the same price. Shop around before settling for this place if you have no other options.

UPDATE: I have emailed the address they provided in their review response below. The virtual tour STILL shows the wrong apartment, and a manager has yet to respond to any of my calls or emails. Their response is nothing more than an automated bot at this point trying to make it look like they have someone that actually wants to address customer concerns.We took the virtual tour of their apartments online. Two bedroom, two bathroom, vinyl flooring, washer and dryer. It was a nice looking apartment. Did the paperwork online, called and talked to someone and told them what we wanted, paid our pet deposits, and everything was going fine. When we got to the unit at the end of September to move in, the apartment had no washer and dryer. Went back to the office immediately and was told none of our 2bd/2ba have washers and dryers. We pulled up the virtual tour and showed them right there that the washer and dryer was in the master bathroom. We got some answer about the other lady that works here must have posted the wrong virtual tour from one of our sister properties. The lady that was working there went and talked to the manager in the other room, and told us that if we turned in our keys before close of business, we would be out free and clear, they would refund our pet deposits, and the only thing we would be out was our application fees because this was clearly their mistake. Fast forward to 10/7, and we got an email saying that because we moved out 10/7 and gave no notice, we owed them $1400, reduced to $900-something because of our deposits we had on file. Called the office again, got a different person, so I had to explain the entire situation, and she tried saying that I still owe them my deposits because the paperwork I filled out online meant that I was fully in a leasing agreement with them, despite what the office manager and other office person told me. I had to explain that we NEVER moved in, and we were told that because we turned in our keys that same day, we werent responsible for their website being wrong. Im still waiting for a call back from the manager to clear this up, but Ill be filing with the BBB as well to speed things along. Just to be clear, as of 10-8-2020, the La Entrada website STILL shows the 2bed/2ba having a washer and dryer in the virtual tour. This places official stance seems to be that even if the virtual tour shows you getting an apartment, but they give you the keys to a tough shed in the parking lot, you should still be 100% on the hook for the documents you signed online before being allowed to see the unit.UPDATE: I have called La Entrada every single day of the five day window their fake move out notice gave me, trying to get a manager on the phone. To date, no manager has returned my call nor has a manager ever been available to discuss the issue.

This apartment never cared about any of its residents needs. It got so bad, I had to break my lease. You’ll see my review on Yelp, but NOW, 8 months later, they’re still trying to find ways to inconvenience me! I broke my lease and informed them upfront the company I work for will pay this in full if they get me a letter on their official letterhead with all the due amounts. I requested this multiple times by phone, in person, and email (good thing I kept them). I find a COLLECTIONS notice in my mailbox today for this amount. Turns out they’ve been sending these letters to their address where they KNEW I moved out of. I’m 21 years old, trying to buy my first house this month. Never had a single negative thing on my credit before. They knew prior and after I moved out that I needed this as I kept in contact. Now they act like they can’t help me. Don’t waste your time here, they’ll only mess you up in the long run. Worst and most rude/uncaring apartment complex I ever moved into.

Don’t believe any of the photos on their site. They are all a lie. There is no one taking care of this property. This place is unsafe. I witnessed my upstairs neighbors selling drugs, informed management, and nothing was done about it! Didnt even feel safe to write this review until after I have been moved away for several months.Their maintenance guy created damage to the unit when fixing a leak, snd then charged me for the damages even though I had filed a complain and sent pictures. And theres no way to fight it unless you hire a lawyer, which I couldnt afford to do.There were constantly roaches and spiders in my apartment even though they charge you a monthly pest control fee. I only ever had one person come into my unit to spray, and I am not able to leave my apartment without help, so I didnt miss them coming in and out!Once covid hit, they became NONEXISTENT! Couldnt get a real person on the phone for anything! Avoid this place at all costs!!

They never respond to emails and voicemails. If they took the time they spent writing empty replies to all of these reviews and used that time to call their tenants back, maybe they wouldnt have so many bad reviews. Calls about emergency maintenance are ignored. Calls/emails with questions are ignored. Calls/emails about community issues (neighbors letting their dog poop on the stairs inside the building, neighbors smoking inside the unit, among others) are ignored. Yet, somehow they seem to find time to make it seem like they care by responding to every post saying how much they pride themselves on being good landlords. Run away folks!

Bathroom drain has been clogged for over 2 weeks along with the dishwasher. My mother has called more then 2 times to get someone to fix the issue, and to no surprise...... they never come. I dont live here, my mom n disabled brother do and they go through this. Dont move into these apartments they do not care. Find a better place.Update: They told my mom to fix it herself instead of coming out n fixing it.Stop replying like yall care because you guys dont. We can clearly see in all your reviews.

Decent place when first moved in 2 years ago. Seems place has fallen apart completely in last year. Everyone in building 5 was treated horribly and kicked out with very short notice me included. moved into other building and kitchen drain clogged since move in five months ago and ignored or told to busy every time called to resolve. I have a PhD in Communication Studies, so I can say with expertise the communication practices of this property are not only negligent but egregious! I have NEVER been treated with such disrespect! I hit my final bad interaction today and will not be renewing my lease. I left message after message after message with no response. When they finally did respond, it was clear interpersonal effectiveness is of no importance in their interactions with their tenants. They were rude, demeaning, and condescending, despite my demonstration of compassion for having to manage the added struggles COVID presents to their jobs and my politeness in the face of extreme frustration over being ignored. I reiterate, I have NEVER been treated with such disrespect in my life, and I will not continue to rent from a company who would treat anyone with such incivility.

If you cant handle taking care of your residents basic needs in their own apartments that you shouldnt have an apartment complex running. After living here for 2.5 years and moving out I can finally speak the truth. DO NOT MOVE HERE. If I could give a negative review, I would. This place is a joke. Cars broken into, I personally watched someone try stealing a car. The security is never around. You tell the office, they do NOTHING. I put a Maintenance request in for a dryer knob. It took 3 months and it was closed before I even got my knob. This place tries to get better reviews by bribing with pizza parties for those who post positive reviews. Just save your self the money and go else where.

I have been leasing an apartment at the Montgomery location for about a year and a half now, I make my payments on time and most of the time there isnt a problem. But and I am completely dissatisfied with the lack of action from the main office. It takes over a month to get in contact with the only person who can help me, I call as often as I can with a 7 day work week and I never received a call back. I have had two different circumstances where I was charged extra, one during Covid-19 and one way before, and it seems as though Im expected to pay the extra balance simply because nobody at the office is ever available to help. The manager is only in the office twice a week from like 10am-4pm and always in conference if you try to call. I am completely frustrated with being ignored for weeks at a time and my payments being messed with by an invisible woman who doesnt even have the time to do her job. Do not lease here. Theres also a ton of freaking spiders.

Ive been a resident here for almost two years now. We are moving out asap. I will post a much more detailed review as soon as we leave.My only advice for anyone looking into living here...DONTUpdate: moving out of this place was the best thing I ever did for myself and my dogs. Maintenence was useless to us. We have records of putting in 9 work orders for a busted sink, that stayed busted for over 3 months, and became riddled with mold all underneath the sink, i have pictures too. Staff never did anything, at all. There was not a single time they came to look or fix it. The AC almost never worked, we had that replaced, and it broke again about a week after, so we gave up on that. The only reason this place has any 5 star reviews is because they will send out fliers with promotional pizza parties for residents if they promise to leave a 5 star review. Staff was always changing, they never called you back, very unorganized people, so keep personal records of EVERYTHING, date, time, name of persons, signatures if you can because staff here will lose all of your important documents like notices of non renewal, and then try to screw you into staying and paying extra for their mistakes. I could go on and on, but I wont. My advice to anyone looking to move her? Stay clear! Avantic is the worst company.

I lived here for 3 years and I can honestly say this is the best placed Ive lived at. It is nice and quiet here. Maintenance and office staff are great and friendly. Not to say Ive never had maintenance issues but the issues Ive had have been taken care in a timely matter. All in all every place has its issues but Im extremely happy.

Let me warn you to not move here its awful. Staff keeps getting fired and has been changed constantly. The pool was supposed to open up and never did due to the new staff coming in and not caring about it or trying to get it renovated. Remind you that they were suuposed to open on memorial day. The walls creek and the maintenance crew breaks the stuff that they try to fix. Its absolutely pure hell. Oh and we are not being helped on the awful the neighbors who are giving us loss at sleep.

Just spoke to the property manager, and she ended the phone conversation because I was told they would pay for the vet bills, and she is saying theyre not responsible. She was rude, unprofessional, and basically hung up the phone while I was still talking. I asked for the corporate phone number, and she wouldnt give it to meUpdate: The apartments had a company fill the cracks in the road in the apartment complex parking lots, they have no signs or tape up, and theyre filling it with black, sticky tar. Its all over my car tires and just ruined my work shoes. I just checked and its all over my dogs paws. A sticky, chemical substance is completely adhered to his paw pads. Im at the emergency vet because his paw is injured. glad I did not renew my lease and will be moving out of hereDo not live here. Many things have broken in my apartment. Took management forever to fix the issues including taking about 4 months to replace a fridge that broke each time they fixed it, and within the 4 months of having my fridge break multiple times, I loss hundreds in food cost. I was literally attacked by two other residents here, management was informed, and nothing was done. This place is not safe. It is affordable which is the only enticing part, but even for the price it is not worth it to live here. Neighbors car was stolen, multiple reports of other residents getting their cars broken into or stolen. Management will do nothing because once you sign the lease, youre trapped for a year and they dont care once they get that signature. If you can afford more than this place, place your money elsewhere

Check back tomorrow for another post.*update*Ive since moved out, but I will never live here again! You pay for a 5 star apartment, but get a 1 star apartment. I had no issues paying the rent increase, but I was being charged for the 5 star upgrade on a 1 star apartment. At least one a month the water was being shut of for various reasons. My car was broken into 2 times within a week, my fiancees car was broken into/almost stolen 3 times in 6 months and when asked why security isnt parking, they said well they are. I got tired of the 1 star iving at a 5 star price so I left.

This apartment complex has a rotating managrment that has a employee turn over like a call center. They dont responde to the emailed requests that are sent in what so ever and they dont give notice when the renewal period is drawing close. They actually wait until 30 days out so they can charge you a full months rent and a early cancellation fee. They even treatened me to sent the account into collections if i didnt set up a payment agreement. Ratger they werent even around to present me with the paperwork to set one up. Ive been going back everyday since i moved out and no management associate has been in the office since i moved out to talk to me. Dont expect them to apologize either cuz the management team you signed your lease with isnt there to understand anything that you had requested or tried to get done. They dont even bother to come back from lunch on time. They have you waiting saying theyll be back in 10 min after a 30 min waiting period after the lunch schedule that is posted on the leasing center is way past due.

We followed the directions on the website which said come in fora self guided tour. The lady inside started motioning and being very rude through the door she wanted us to call even though we already did. So we called again and then the lady who answered the phone hung up on us and then made eye contact through the door as she ate a hamburger and never let us tour. Very annoying.

Update: They responded faster to this review than they did when trying to call.We have lived at La Entrada for 10 years as it was located in a good spot for our kid’s schools and our work but that was the only reason. Every year when rain would start our upstairs neighbor at the time would clog the rain drainage for the balcony causing water to leak through the wall in our Living room. Every year we would report it and they would unclog the drain but never fix the damage. We also had issue with mold in the 2nd bathroom and constant plumbing leaks. Weve had our vehicles broken into multiple times and our bikes stolen off of the balcony. We finally left due to incorrect billing on utilities every month since Avantic took over the property and the fact that they were not going to renew our lease anyways due to remodel. Now they are trying to bill us for carpet cleaning and incorrect utilities after we moved out even though they had given us notice that we could not renew our lease due to remodeling the apartment (part of the remodel was new carpet and flooring). When asked to see what the meter readings were for the utilities they said we owe they said they would have to get back to us and still haven’t not to mention that we heard from the bill from a debt collector 2 months after we had moved out. Do not move here or you will be treated poorly by the management and ignored and if I could give 0 starts I would.

My son has lived her for a few months and just recently got his car stolen from the property. Called the parking enforcement said they would call back never got one. Called the office for the number who tows vehicles from there property she gave me a false companies name so making a police report. And don’t ever be late on your rent they charge you like $100 plus even if your one day late. I feel sorry for my son because he wants to break the contract but it’s going to cost an arm and leg to move out him and his girlfriend feel very unsafe living there. I’m afraid to going to visit him at night because the lack of lighting. I wish I had the money to move him out.

They have completely ignored my viable concerns regarding the chemical smells engulfing my entire apartment. I have been a resident for several years now and paid my rent religously on time. For them to completely ignore me while I am sitting outside my car with my small children because my whole apartment smells so strong it made us sick is unacceptable. If they are renovating they should not risk the well being of families in other apartments and definitely not disregard my concerns. Nina was the only reason I kept renewing my lease because I knew she would take care of my concerns in a timelt manner.

I wish I could give it this place less than a star. This is the worst apartment ever! The staff is extremely rude and does not care about the people living in these apartments. Nothing ever gets fixed correctly. They do not communicate with each other let alone the Residents here. They have over charged me twice with a late fee. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

We have a security company that patrols at night that is useless you can never get ahold of them and they suck at doing there job my truck was broken into last night and everything stolen. They had enough time to pick the quarters out of my change holder do not move here I called management very upset and the first thing they told me was they can leave a note for the office thats it. Simply because there is better.Ive lived here for a while now, originally in a 3 bdrm after a year they requested I leave so they could renovatate, as I didnt wish to leave I was forced to reapply (paying all deposits over again) and I got a 2bdrm renovated apartment.Im a low maintenance person, Ill go without if its able to be done.I walked into this JUST renovated apartment and I cant even think of something nice to say. Shoty work, the flooring doesnt even meet the walls in some places, some of the flooring is even coming up in the kitchen and m bathroom. The baseboards are mangled. The dishwasher isnt even installed, it just sets on the floor. Cabinets arent completed. There is a hole in my door where a doorbell used to be, unsealed. And more.While everything was reported, I even had the office representative walk through with me, nothing was done. It has been 3 months now and all that was managed to be fixed was to glue the dishwasher to the counter (it obviously didnt hold long and its back on the floor).Walked in today after a holiday away and my ceiling is leaking, Im on the bottom floor.I had minor issues in the previous apartment as well, heaters not working, leaks from the windows and glass doors.Ive never had troubles with the office, good people, the maintenance lead is very nice and straight forward, but they have no power to do anything. Ownership needs to take some responsibility around here. Its an outrageous $$ to be asking for such shoty apartments and the area is not worth the cost not when there is so much competition.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! I would end my lease if they didnt make it so hard to do so!!! First, there has been a massive hole in my roof on my balcony and it just keeps getting bigger and I have a 1 year old so its very unsafe. They keep telling me they are gunna fix it but guess what they have yet to do so. My dryer isnt hooked up correctly so everytime I run it my entire apartment gets humid, there is no place for the exhaust to go other than in my apartment. CAN YOU SAY FIRE HAZARD!!!!!!! Now Im going though a complete new disappointment about this place, they charged me a nsf fee for something that was their websites fault, you have to pay online their website didnt give me an option to what account I want the money come out of. So the rent bounced, not only do I have 2 $50 NSF fees I also have a late fee of $75. And they keep telling me it was my fault so they wont be able to take those charges away.

Current resident for 2+ years. Moving out as soon as possible. The apartment itself is a nice but these apartments are managed horribly. My air conditioner is currently broken for the 3rd time im a month. My heater has broken 5 or 6 times in the past 2 months and is still not fixed. It took them a week to fix my front door that had fallen off the hinges (a major security concern). Walls are paper thin and upstairs neighbors are loud. I had a drunk guy knocking on my door at 3 am. The fire alarm went off once at 3 am and took 30 minutes to turn it off. The emergency maintinance phone number never gets answered. Security will boot your car with no prior warning. These are just a few things that have happened to me. Avoid this place.

*** UPDATE 12/28/2018I have to lower my review because for the past week I’ve been getting calls from a very angry woman about debt collection. Unfortunately I have missed all of them but get voicemails. I’ve tried calling back and each time it says that the call has failed. Today I finally got hold of someone and it’s a debt collector from this apartment. Says we owe money for utilities and cleaning charges. We never received anything from the apartment prior to this to try and pay these. Not a bill in the mail, email, phone call - nothing. They want us to pay carpet cleaning charges even though right after we moved out they ripped up all the carpet and renovated the apartment. I’m very upset with Kiersten and everybody that works here. We asked when we moved out if everything was squared away, and they said we were. Now, months later we get this call. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Shame on Avantic Residential and everyone that works here.I never write negative reviews (I like to give praise where praise is due and show grace to my negative experiences), but I actually feel obligated to warn people of what they are getting into here. If you’re considering these apartments, they will be your HOME, and as a former tenant, I hope this is helpful.Reading all these reviews, I absolutely agree with all the negative ones. However. Because these apartments provided a roof over my head for the past two years, I’ll be fair and give them 3 stars. The first year was not bad. The apartments are outdated, and depending on your neighbors, it can be a good or a bad place to live (you really get what you pay for. We had a couple nice ones, but most of them were loud/smokers/incredibly rude). The office was friendly and helpful the first year. Maintenance was generally on top of things.We moved into a different apartment (still within the complex) and spent another year there. At that time, the owners of the complex changed...and everything went down hill. We would call the office or submit work requests and NO ONE would ever get back to us. One time, our drunk neighbor was yelling and screaming in the hall, slammed the door in the hall so hard that it went INTO our apartment and not only were they not immediately evicted, but no one even believed that there was a massive hole in our wall for 5 FULL DAYS. We even called the owners - Avantic Residential - and the man LAUGHED at my husband. He thought it was funny that he was so drunk he sent the door through the wall. Nina finally came over and took pictures, and then it was fixed - a week later. Honestly, it really depends on your neighbors, but if they’re bad...it’s literally the worst. The office cares, but doesn’t do anything about your complaints. Of course we don’t expect our neighbors to be perfect, but the constant drunks, smokers, and being loud at 2am is unacceptable. The apartments always smell of weed and we’ve had a big bug problem since moving in. We call about the weed and nothing happens. The bug people spray, and I swear there are more of them. Maintenance is SEVERELY understaffed. They are nice and usually get around to fixing things, but there’s only so much a few guys can do - even if it’s an emergency (leaking during the rain, sinks overflowing). The mail carrier for the complex is TERRIBLE. We constantly get our neighbor’s mail, and rarely get ours. We had a major issue with our credit card because he didn’t deliver our mail (our bank said that it was returned to them and undeliverable for whatever reason, so we know it was our mail carrier).All in all. Don’t live here unless you are moving in with all your best friends in the building. They are renovating the apartments, so I’m sure they’ll be nicer, but it’s not worth it. I know Kiersten (the manager of the complex) and Nina work INCREDIBLY HARD, but two people can’t take care of everything (I don’t know if Sabrina is still there, but she was also very helpful!). I honestly never felt safe in these apartments, so if you have a family find somewhere else to live.

I wish I could rate this place lower. There was ONLY one person in that office worth anyones time talking to. The others made you want to spit nails they were either incompetent or extremely rude. They dont care about whats going on with their tenants. One example is the bottom floor of my building was dealing with a sewage backup and it took this place over 2 weeks to deal with it. The individuals in the apartments with sewage backup water flowing into their apartment didnt even catch a small break in their rent to replace their items, however, they did get a free steam cleaning job on their carpets a few days after the whole mess was over. After smelling everything for 3 weeks.

My family and I moved in recently and are finding out how much we regret it!! There are hidden fees & very poor management as well as poor maintenance. Our first week here, we got a boot on our vehicle for no reason but we paid $100 anyway because the apartment complex said they were not responsible!!There are a lot of drug dealers, a lot of pot smokers, parties, and a lot of fights/arguments. We have told management that the hallways smell like weed and that it comes into our home but they still havent done anything about it. We even had an incident of drug dealers coming to our door & from neighbors who have had the same issue have claimed that the bald headed maintenance man hangs out with some of the tenants and smokes meth with them.I would not recommend living here!! They allow kids to rent from here and a lot of them party every weekend, do drugs, and get kicked out. This place is horrible!!!!!

For your safety DONT LIVE HERE. The current resident would like to remain anonymous however, though Im not the current resident -the crime is increasing and the management doesnt care about your safety. They only care that you pay rent. Peoples homes are being broken into. Vehicles stolen and physical fights often happen. The management is very unprofessional and would rather tell you how wrong you are versus try and offer any help. As a note to the owner: The individual who does live here does not want to talk to any of your staff members, they have tried and have received zero feedback and a sever lack of empathy.

These apartments are absolute S H * T. They’re disgusting and rude and ghetto. The staff is awful they often leave the office early and or don’t answer calls or return messages. Put a request for a work order in one time, and after about a week of the issue not being fixed we went to the office to check on the status.. they had zero forms or record of our request. We were told “there’s no work order here (in a messy stack of papers) so that means it was done.” It was not. They’re also extremely rude to their occupants instead of explaining situations in a professional manner. The maintenance guys are decently nice but actual maintenance takes FOREVER, even just to come look at whatever the issue is, and then even longer to get it fixed properly. Usually results in a poor attempt to fix a problem then them eventually needing to call in a specialist who is actually trained. Our A/C has broken numerous times this very hot summer. We keep a clean home, but roaches still come out to crawl all over our kitchen counters and through our cabinets at night. Big roaches too - even right after pest control “came to spray”. Two of our vehicles have been broken into, and have been tampered with in attempts to be broken into on two more seperate occasions. Security that once patrolled at night doesn’t come around anymore, but I guess they weren’t any good anyway because our windows were still being shattered. There aren’t even fire extinguishers in the hallway fire extinguisher cases. The fire alarms run low on battery and beep loudly for weeks on end. There’s mold in our bathrooms and rotting wood in the structure surrounding our apartment unit from all the leaks that occur so frequently and take forever to fix. However the electricity is calculated and charged here is absolutely batsh*t because we conserve our energy and our bill is still outrageous. I could go on for days. Our lease cannot end soon enough. Do not waste your hard earned money paying to live here! And whoever is in charge of relying to these reviews and leaving a bullsh*t message about how “they’re so sorry” and suggest we call a number- shove your number up it and actually get to FIXING the issues listed. This really isn’t a good place to live, nor is it a safe place to raise children! It wasn’t too bad when we moved in about three years ago. Our biggest complaint at that time was the maintenance staff was in the unit above ours to clean & prepare it for new occupants, when the toilet came loose & created a torrential downpour over ours. They fixed it in about an hour or so, but in the meantime I literally had to use an umbrella to answer natures call.There were little things of course, the walls are super thin & you learn way too much about your neighbors. But it’s an older building, so it’s expected. The kids are unruly & speaking to their parents or management is useless as no one cares what the children are getting up to. This includes bullying & setting fires on property. I know this is a universal problem these days, but it got to the point that I hated letting my kid outside. The pool hours are not observed. Security is a joke. And don’t bother telling management when something is vandalized or stolen. They don’t care & often blame the victim. My purse was stolen out of my car. The FBI raided an upstairs unit, but that seemed unrelated to the thefts around the property as the break-ins to vehicles continued, followed shortly by the thefts from patios and balconies, and the theft of a vehicle or two. And we can’t forget about the woman who stood on her balcony taking photos of the kids in the yard. Dog owners often leave poop in the yard, but let’s face it, if management isn’t putting out the bags as part of their offered services…well that’s just expected. The property sees a lot of vandalism, spray paint in the halls, light fixtures broken, bricks removed, tiles pulled from the edges of the pool & left at the bottom, broken bottles, trash tossed about, & countless other things. The fire alarm gets pulled, and the alarm blares for hours before it’s shut off not even the fire department can do it. The most recent time left the pull in our building broken.There are not enough maintenance men to cover all of the units in a timely manner. So having to wait up to a week for a non-emergent issue is common place. Our air conditioner is always on the fritz & one of the maintenance crew stated that the whole unit should be replaced but there was no way management would sign off on it until it was beyond repair. Our air conditioner has gotten so bad that it actually won’t shut off like it’s supposed to so it runs continuously making our utility bill totally outrageous; we literally have to unplug it to turn it off. Another factor in utility prices is that should a unit be empty the cost is divided between remaining tenants. Management argues this, but if you look at the website of their third party utility company you can see your trends which clearly support this statement.In September we reported a leak in our ceiling after a torrential rain. We thought it odd seeing as we’re on the middle floor & the leak is by the door, so clearly not from any of the appliances in the third story unit. No one bothered to come out until December, when they did they looked & left stating that they didn’t want to mess with it until the roof was fixed. Which makes sense, you fix the ceiling before the roof is fixed you’re just going to waste materials. They are only now looking at the roof. Too little too late, we have mold in the walls and ceilings. Mildew literally blooming through the dry wall, but it’s just mildew that’s not mold. SERIOUSLY?! Maintenance comes in, pokes a finger through the ceiling & it rains spackle. You can clearly see black fuzz. He sprays the mold removal stuff, but doesn’t kill it first with bleach, doesn’t remove the dry wall or the infected ceiling area stating that management would have to sign off on this. So we’re still living in a moldy apartment. We have a month left on our lease, and management refused to allow us to break it. Not even calling their corporate office helped. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!

So moved in 9/10 its 10/1. I have had to call the non emergency police three time last due to noise level and safety concerns. Two weeks ago an intoxicated female knocked on my door at 6:20am. Today I wake up to my truck broken into. I am taking legal actions. This is not a safe place what so ever. My safety comes first and this place does not provide a safe environment at all! I feel all management is concerned about is keeping me in my lease

Lived here for an entire year and would NOT recommend this complex to anyone. Where to even begin.Noise complaints are not taken seriously by anyone. We had upstairs neighbors who had kids that would run up and down the hallway at all hours of the day, would have loud, inappropriate arguments, and none of our complaints were ever met with anything other than a Well look into it.We didnt have hot water for two entire weeks and still paid the same for utilities.My car was booted due to an expired registration sticker and when I called the office to inquire the response I got from the manager was that they werent in charge of parking security, the guy just kind of comes in and does his own thing. My car ended up getting towed, and I had to pay $250 dollars to get it back, and then an additional $400 to pay for damages that the towing company did to the rear axles.Pets are allowed in units and this causes the entire building to smell like dog.Due to an administrative error, we had to pay extra for our rent one month, and were never reimbursed.There were constantly fight and arguments in the parking lot, and a gun was fired once. One of my roommates motorcycles was almost stolen.The apartment itself was mediocre at best, and had a carpeted dining area, which made cleaning a hassle. Appliances are dated. One of our bathroom sinks leaked the entire time we lived there, and our garbage disposal only worked for a month after we moved in, and it took maintenance over two months to fix it.Save yourself a lot of time, money, energy, and exasperation and look for a different place to live.

This place is a joke my truck was broken into the pipes for the unit above me were so crowded that the grey water and toilet water was seeping into my apartment and when offered another unit that one had the same issue and I was offered to be let out of my lease but yet i still received a negative remark on my credit report from them not to mention one of the leasing agents didnt even post my rent for 2 months leaving it to look as if I didnt pay my rent and now have an eviction on my record

This place not a good place to live. I would not or ever recommend anybody to live here. First the maintenance men are slow to put in a work order.and on top of that they take more then a week to repair anything or if they even come at all. That make you pay hidden fees on top of hidden fees. And they spray for bugs but there are still bugs running around. And the last couple months they have not sprayed when they say they will. The land lord are rude and inconsiderate to thier tenants. If you have kids make sure they are quiet. Im guessing they do not like kids. We had complaints on our kids for being kids. An i think our neighbor was a pedophile. He wanted to set up cameras to take pictures of the kids. All because they wanted to play outside. As i said before i strongly do NOT recommend living here.

Still living here 5 years now, seems management doesnt care or main office wont allow upgrading, live second floor, when it rains patio leaks, repairs were done, but it was a terrible job cheap and ineffective, washer in building 6 has been out of order about a year now, put requests to fix it, drain is clogged but management keeps ignoring problem probably too expensive, so we have to wash clothes in other buildings, this my last signing of lease, need to find a place where we an enjoy our retirement comfortablely, tenants are getting worse and worse, security??dont really have security they pass by once a night, never seen again....I like it here good location just need better resident consideration!!!!

Overpriced and old everything in my unit was falling apart.it flooded 4 times in 1 month and I had to harass them.to fix it I only get cold water in my shower and scalding water in the kitchen my ac went waters always being shut off..people dont pick up after the dogs and the office does nothing about it they refused to accept my 30 day notice because it wasnt on the first even though Im on a month to month agreement because the month to month was cheaper than a year lease..tons of crime and inconsiderate loud neighbors..save yourself a headache and just rent a crack house
