Renting was easy. A car was there when I went to pick it up. However, when I reserved, I told them that I would return around 5:00 or 5:30 on the day of return. I verified the price (which is what I was quoted on the phone). Called when I got back later than planned to see if I could return the car in the morning and I was told to have it there by 8:15 / 8:30. Went to return it and was charged for an extra day. I was told that I needed it there by 8:00 the morning I was initially supposed to return it. When I questioned this, I was told that I needed to read the contract. I should have been told this when I rented as well. I was pretty much told that is not their job to do that. Very, very, very unhappy. Which is a shame because the employees are very nice.
Could not rate this place lower. Made a reservation online, called the day before to confirm and was told it was all good. Called on my way to pick it up and was told they were out of cars. Not just my reserved midsize SUV, ALL CARS. Couldn’t help me. I needed to be in Miami the next day, so called corporate. Was rudely told sorry, it is what it is. Try a competitor. I will never use any AVIS again as they apparently don’t know the definition of the word reservation. What a joke company. Corporate even gets all condescending when they say, sir, we have a car at the Canton location. I said, the location that closed 30 minutes before this call? They don’t even know their own store hours. Never again.
They are getting this low of a review for a couple reasons. First is although I was told if I returned the car early, it would be discounted yet they are still charging me the same rate. Second I did forget to fill up the gas and they wanted to charge me $130 for 3/4 of a tank. If that’s not the most ridiculous charge, I don’t know what is. I couldn’t take the car to fill it up, however one of the employees drove me to the gas station to fill up.My 22 month old and wife were in our car and he was having a fit. So I sent her home and have to Uber home. Although this doesn’t have anything to do with Avis, its frustrating and there is no empathy shown for it.If you want good quality service from a car rental facility, choose Enterprise. Those folks down on 92 are great!
Trenton was great! this was my 3rd place I went to to get a rental for my trip because everyone else didn’t have any rentals available. he made my experience super quick and easy and can’t thank him enough! not to mention, the price was definitely unbeatable compared to other rental places. i’ll definitely be renting with this location again :)
They are VERY FRIENDLY the manager Jacky is very nice and polite even to the other employees I noticed. Gave me good discount even before I asked. He even had time to show me some models of cars we were looking into buying.

This is the second time I rented from the woodstock location, and this will be the only place I rent from. The employees are fantastic, service is great! I was helping my mom get ready to list her home, worked out side all day in Macon, left in plenty of time, but bad accident on 75 was going to make it almost impossible, I called the store, asked the manager if there was anything I could do, he worked with me, still got there by 6:10, and he told me even if it took a little longer gas it up so I wouldnt pay the premium on fill up, and when I returned it, even though he had a long day and had to stay a little later, he was so kind and welcoming, turned what could have ended in a bad day into something great! Great service and kindness is still out there, thank you again AVIS in Woodstock!!
My husband rented a car for a road trip on my bday ... the staff are very friendly and very easy process ....were very happy at car that has given to us and the owner gave us a good deal ...We are a very satisfied and happy customer ...I will definitely recommend this place to everyone ...

By far the worst car rental I have ever experienced. Rented me a car, Uber’d to pick the car up. When I got there he said he didn’t have any cars available and that he over booked himself. By the time he looked at my reservation in the computer it was close to closing time. Once it was 6pm he said sorry we are now closed there nothing I can do for your s kicked me out.Then as he leaves he locked up 6 rental cars in the parking lot. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE

For almost 10 days now I have been trying to get a refund from Avis. They took over $400 out of my account and then wasted two days of my time before telling me they werent going to rent me a car. Customer service is of no help. Diana, at billing, instead of sending me to her supervisor sent me to customer service in Mexico. It feels pretty suspect that they are trying not to give me my money back where is I never even was able to rent a car.
This staff is always helpful & kind. Jacky is the best ! He does everything in his power to accommodate. This is the only rental car place my husband and I rent from. Very reasonable prices.
I actually really like this rental places out of most the avis location near me. The manager that runs the place has became a friend to me because he always know what to say to help u fell comfortable and glad to be at his location. Theres been times I thought I wouldnt get a upgrade and he some how work it out for me.
Very bad experience! Called a week prior to our trip specifically requesting an 8-seater. I was guaranteed a Ford Expedition 8-seater by Trenton. Arrived the morning of my reservation and no Ford Expedition was on the premises. Neither were there any other 8-seaters available as an alternative. Instead Trenton tried to pass off a 7 seater or two smaller cars when my additional driver was over an hour away waiting to be picked up. The whole experience was a complete and utter inconvenient mess!! It was so bad that another customer whispered to me that she was sorry. I had to ask him multiple times why and how could this have happened and all he kept saying was that on his days off his co-workers mustve rented the vehicle to someone else and then he finally admitted he failed to add the vehicle to the notes. The 7 seater Suburban I ended up settling for hadnt been washed or cleaned out. I had to wipe down the inside after I left. We also had to make a mat in the middle of the floor (seat #8) so everyone could still go on our prepaid trip. (THANK THE LORD FOR PROTECTING US!) The only reason I rated this experience a 2 is because the car drove well and because Trenton was nice (in spite of) and he applied a significant discount. When I dropped it off, the manager (a tall lady) was very curt and exhibited an off-putting demeanor. However, the lady that helped me directly was very nice.You know, its funny that I bypassed other Avis in my area because this one seemed to have better reviews. Needless to say I wont be using this location in the future or recommending them to anyone.
The staff at the Woodstock Avis location are always so helpful and professional. We have used them on many occasions and Jackie has gone above and beyond for us every single time. Highly recommend!
It got done. At the Lakeview location at 3721 N. Broadway in Chicago the desk agent said the car was fine and that we need not look at the car? He said he had looked at it already. However, there was substantial scratches on the rear bumper/panel. I discovered it before I left the Avis garage. I asked him to look ay it. He said I guess I missed that? Very unprofessional. He was far more worried about social distancing than doing his job. Probably my last time using Avis.

My mother and I went there today and we got horrible service. The absolute worst customer service I have ever received. I usually never write bad reviews but I couldn’t let this go. The man there complained because he said he had a doctors appointment at 6:15 that was 30 minutes away. It was 6. He wouldn’t show us where the car was and said we are putting ourselves before him. Not only was he a rude employee but he was just a malicious person with no common sense on how to treat people right. I will never rent a car from here ever again. Quick advice for anyone looking for a car rental, go to enterprise. At least they know how to talk to customers like they are actually people. If I could give this place negative stars, I would.
My review is for this location, not for Avis the Corporation (theyd get a lower score). I appreciate the quick and down-to-business service Ive gotten repeatedly from this location. They are sometimes on the causal side when you have established a situation of trust (repeat rentals, good communication with them) which helps to speed my vehicle checkouts and returns. (When things get casual with vehicle inspections, I take my own photos of vehicle condition just to be sure, but I have never had anything go awry.) I also appreciate the convenient location and hours, and the greater vehicle selection than local competitors have (theyre more willing than other Woodsstock rental spots to reserve a larger vehicle like a van).
The owner / manager at this store has always been incredible helpful, polished and professional. The rates are reasonable and not boxed in. They know how to talk to customers and how to treat them respectfully. They have helped me for business needs, dealing with the loss of family members and when a vehicle broke down and I got into a pinch.

If it were possible to give zero stars I would. My wife rented a car from here recently. she explicitly stated to the representative that she did not want any optional coverage. The representative added the additional insurance to the contract after it was declined. When we got the final bill, we let them know it was added in error and they refused to do anything about it. The end result was over $300 in additional charges that we had to pay due to deceitful business practices. This place is unethical! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!
Location is in a shopping center. Friendly staff. Unfortunately AVIS doesn’t offer a pickup service. Another downside to this location. Is no after hours drop off. That made it very inconvenient. Had to leave the car in the parking lot and bring the keys the next day. If something would have happened to the car I would have been liable.
The reason I am giving this place 4 stars because we booked the car we wanted and they didnt have it. When we showed up to pick up the car and they upgraded to a different car for the same price.This place is nice to rent the cars, quick and easy service. We definitely will be back.
Typical customer service from a large corporation. If something goes wrong, handle it in the dumbest way possible. Got a flat tire. Chrysler Mini van doesn’t not have a jack, tire or manual. Would have been nice to know before renting, but of course not.So we called the oh s... protocol at Avis & after asking 45 questions that they already know, they never called back. After sitting for 1 1/2 hours, got a text from a tow company that it’ll be 2 hours before we see anyone.Called the local Avis rental car that is 3.5 miles from our flat and he was as worthless as renting a car from Avis. Basically said call someone else we only care about sales.Thank Avis and big business.Irate customer
Best place to rent a car. Never an issue. If you forget something in the vehicle they notify you. Very trustworthy staff.
Was less than a hour late because of traffic and they charged me $20.. Another whole day would have only been $28.. If you late better off just keeping another day. Have been late before with Enterprise and they never have charged me.
Im a repeat customer and these guys always take care of me when I use them. They dont have a key drop box which is slightly inconveniencing when you want to move on a timeline. Most all other places have a drop box.
As usual Avis was the only one to have a car. And as usual it was nice low mileage and clean car.
Mr Jacky is the best when it comes to providing great service and always having the right vechicle ready when you need it. He runs a clean, 🌞, refreshing Avis store and his employees are always well trained professionals. They never forget to apply your discounts if you qualify: Avis wizard, Sams Travel club, etc.My family and I have used this Avis location for years and have not been disappointed. We even got a #Pokebug with our last rental. If you do business with Avis, be sure to visit this Hwy 92 in Woodstock location, in the same shopping square as Goodwill.
I was supposed to pick up a car at 12 today and I called before leaving home to make sure it was ready. They told me they wouldnt have a car available until possibly 1. If I had not called beforehand, I would have been waiting for who knows how many hours to get a car that I requested a reservation for. If my car isnt ready, a call to give me a heads up would be nice! And this is not the first time this has happened at this location. Complete disaster and horrible location.

I would give this car rental office a one star but I did get the car I ordered. On June 9th I ordered a Mustang or similar. On the morning of pick up I was told that they were having trouble getting the car and would upgrade me to a luxury car. I wanted a sports car and NOT a luxury car. After stressing to them that I wanted the Mustang they finally was able to find me one - 3 hours after my scheduled pick up. My vacation therefore started 3 hours late!
Like some other reviewers experienced, I was double charged and have to wait for the pending charges to be removed- been 4 days so far. No apology, just we didnt take your money and call the 800 number.

Only because its needs a star for me to leave a review. Idk who manager is at this location but he is RUDE. I called yesterday for assistance and he told me to call back to so he can help me better which I can understand. So I call back today and the nothing he could do for me yesterday is pretty much the same nothing he can do for me today. If nothing can be done thats fine but his customer service is horrible. He could have transferred me to avis customer care after not being able to assist, but he didnt. Im not 100% sure if he even cancelled my reservations because he hung up I called back he hung up I called again he said he will cancel but again I doubt it. I asked for a manager he said he was the manager. This as to be some of the most raggedy customer service. I usually just use the app to avoid this kind of treatment. Ive never had an issue with pick up since thats pretty much the only real contact I have with avis in general. The one time I call for assistance this is what I get. I always use avis Im not gonna let this guy ruin it for me but I will NEVER get a car from this location....such a joke
Very suspicious activity charges process through Virginia had to call my bank to release the hold on my account it finally was able to go through. I dropped a day late and the told me I was being charge an additional $130 due to the gas tank only be 5/8 full which was a $60 charge. I filled the whole tank up with $25. They charger $42 for an additional plus $10 late fee.the car was filthy when I received it crayon marks in back doors was not wiped down or vacuumed out. Old chic fila under the seat. This was my first rental with Avid and I will never return. There system stayed down did not give me any receipt when I returned vehicle said they would email me receipt and received nothing
Car I got was dirty. Filthy inside like someone ate fried chicken and touched every panel in the vehicle. Right front tire was leaking I had to put air every day.... Several times a day. This office would not resolve my issue I had to pay out of pocket to fix the leaky tire.

Above and beyond, we were supposed to drop a one day rental in Canton location (avoid at all costs) and due to traffic were going to arrive about 15 minutes past closing. Canton refused to accept the car, Woodstock said no problem and waited for us.
