This man (Chris) was extremely rude to me. I had a reservation for this location and was two hours away. So I called to make sure there was an availability even though it said so online. I like to double check, especially when traveling that far. When I called, I was assured that there was. When I arrived to this location, this was the man I was “greeted” by. More like just “what do you need?”I told him I had a reservation and he said he had nothing available. I explained that I lived far and also called ahead to verify. And he simply said “sorry there’s nothing I can do for you, try the location in Kennesaw.”So I left angry and called the one in Kennesaw. I believe I spoke with Ken and explained the situation to him. He was very helpful and said he had heard of the man being rude to other people before. He got in touch with the manager Taniya at the Woodstock location. She was not on premises but said there should be a vehicle available and to go back. So I went back and magically Chris had a rental for me. Beyond that, he was rude during the entire process. And also tried to change the time for when I got my vehicle. When I went to drop it off the woman told me he had changed it. So he had tried to charge me more as well. I review many places and never leave a bad review unless something was terribly wrong. This man should not have a job in the customer service industry.
Do NOT rent from the location. It is CLOSED. No matter what they say if you call. Had a reservation last weekend for a very important trip reserved over a month in advance, called to confirm a few days ahead and was assured I had a car. Arrive to pick it up and NOPE. CLOSED. Was directed to another location but they had no car for me. My reservation was worthless.
I have had a bad experience with this location up until I met Ms. Shequila Hamilton. I feel very lucky that she was working that day. She is very professional, attentive, and with a big smile on her face. I just want to thank her for all that she does! She completely turned around my day.
Stay away! We rented a car from the Atlanta Airport and returned it to the Woodstock location the following day. They claim we didnt return the car!!! We reached out to them and were told by the manager Renee to file a police report and that it is out of her hands.......She was able to ping the vehicle in Florida. LONG STORY SHORT....They rented it out to another person without closing our account. Meanwhile we were still being charged $100 late fees day after day! Customers are put last here. It was ridiculous. I was worried sick. Meanwhile the manager was out and wouldnt return calls. I was so upset 😭😭😭😭 Update...was resolved after a week and a half.
Chris got me into a car at a great price the same day that my minivan broke down and Kia left me high and dry with no rental car...even though my car was under warranty! He found me a car in time to get me son from school and he was really awesome! I was so stressed out that I wasnt going to be able to get a car the same day but he went out of his way to make sure I had what I needed and at a great price! I hope I dont need to rent a car again soon, but if I do, Ill definitely be back!
If I could give this location ZERO stars I would!!!The new manager Renea and employee Chris added a $300 cleaning fee because the rental we had gotten from them was “atrocious”. It had dog hairs from when I originally got the vehicle and she blamed it on us when I don’t even have pets. Also added a fuel charge when they told me to bring it back to that exact same level. Made me wait a total of about an hour to talk to her. Shrug her shoulders and said she couldn’t do anything and sent me to customer service. When one of the other employees showed me the vehicle he said that he didn’t understand why they were charging me that fee when the car wasn’t bad and he had seen very bad vehicles and never got the fee. They lack customer service and she needs to learn how to coach her employees.
I would give this place 0 or negative if possible. Got a SUV. When I got home i just happen to notice the rear tires (both of them) had the wear bars showing and the front tires were not much better. THIS VECHICLE WAS UNSAFE AND THE TIRE WERE ILLEAGAL IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA.I was driving to Little Rock. I called and told the person I talked to I needed a new car. He said I had to be there in 20 minutes or Id be stuck until Monday. He really wasnt interested in my problem with his car. I made it to the office. I waited 20 minutes while the agent was trying to sell the previous customer on using his website business.When I finally got a new car is had not been cleaned.Be sure to check the vehicle you get here.

On 10/30(around 3p) I went to the Woodstock location and they gave me a blue Nissan to rent, but it was making a loud noise whenever I was driving on the highway. I didn’t feel safe so I called the store to change the vehicle. The young gentleman who picked up told me he will make a note in the system, but the car should be fine. I disregarded his comment and brought the vehicle back. Obviously he didn’t care about my safety!
If I could give zero Stars I would. The customer service is by far the worst I have ever experienced. I made a reservation weeks prior to my rental. I called the day of my trip to pick up the car only to find out the location is closed due to covid, fine I understand being closed because of covid but to not inform me of this change is unacceptable I call another location and they inform me that no hertz location in the metro Atlanta area will be able to accommodate me. I call their corporate number where they make a reservation for me for that location only to be told that they still cant accommodate me. I call corporate again where they explain that they dont actually know what cars are available at their locations and they will have to call every location to see if one is actually available.The level of incompetence is staggering.
They didn’t have the car cleaned prior to arriving at the location, so after I paid for the car they took the car to a different location to have it cleaned. I’ve now been sitting for 40 minutes and they still have not returned. There are also multiple new customers that have arrived since then and they haven’t been greeted yet.
Absolutely the worst corporate Hertz location I’ve rented from. Being the President Circle Hertz customer and renting over 40 times per year, I know what Hertz normally stands for. This location is quite the opposite- poor customer service, unfriendly attitude, poorly maintained higher mileage, smoked vehicles, and careless management. My last reservation I had to cancel because, despite having many cars on the lot, they would only rent to me mechanically compromised, smoked in ford taurus. When I refused this car, having booked premium class vehicle, they offered an upgrade for $150 more. So, not only they did not have the serviced car that I booked, they were willing to replace it for an absolutely unreasonable fee, instead of an apology. I am done with this location! They’re not worthy Hertz brand!
This place is terrible!! The manager has no idea what customer service is. I called to make sure they had a Yukon or Suburban specifically since we needed more room than a Tahoo and I wanted to make sure they had the correct vehicle before we drove there and I didn’t want to scramble last minute if they didn’t even though I confirmed online that it was the bigger SUV. Well guess what, they didn’t have it. They wanted to put me in a Tahoo and then tried to explain to me that it’s in the same size class and that their location never has the car I reserved online for their location. The manager who I spoke with to confirm it was a Yukon or Suburban or something the same size was extremely rude to me and even tried to tell me he said it was a Tahoo on the phone. I have a full size SUV and needed the extra space for our snowboards and other gear. Luckily Enterprise was extremely helpful and had what I needed. Terrible customer service!!! This all could have been avoided if he told me that didn’t have the car I reserved in advance.
Awful customer service. I was trying to get a hold of someone and they kept putting me on hold and then they hung up. I called the fourth time and they literally hung up. AWFUL service !!!
Hertz lacks any social or emotional intelligence. I rented a car 1 month ago for a 5 month duration ($4,800) and they had me wait for 1 hour because they had just taken the car across the street to balance the tires and get an oil change.After I asked the gentleman if they are building a new car in this time he immediately interrupted me with a cookie cutter response that they are waiting for the mechanic. They gave 0 ETA and 0 information while I sat there and at the end just walked up to me said give me your card and license. While I sat there another customer reserved their car 2 weeks ago and they didnt have a car.Here is an idea: CALL YOUR CUSTOMERS AND LET THEM KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON rather than having them come all the way there and wait or never even get a car.
1 star because I cant give zero(0).-Our reservation was NOT even on the lot, there were absolutely no vehicles comparable on the lot and we noticed that before walking in the door. This was a paid for reservation booked 3 weeks in advance only to be told they do not have any vehicles in the specified class or even an upgrade. Gentleman behind the counter said they have a fleet call every morning and hes been asking for cars everyday and they couldnt supply it. People have been coming in to rent vehicles like crazy. Thats not my problem. I rented this vehicle weeks in advance which means you should hold it to accommodate my reservation not people that are walking in. Also he stated theyve been so busy that he hasnt been able to call people to let them know the vehicle is not in stock. So, you ask for my number and say that youll call me if a vehicle shows up (too late, I needed the vehicle now hence a reservation). How are you going to call me when its ready when you had no time to call and inform me that you dont have one to begin with. Next you dont even bother to call around or look to see if another location has it. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! Then, I call your customer service department and the first response out of her mouth was if they dont have a car then they dont have a car....what kind of service (prefer other choice of words but well keep it a little more professional) is that. After some back and forth she looks up locations all the way to Atlanta and no such luck. Bad service clearly comes from all departments of your company. We finally called around to other locations on our own while driving around and found a location that had two available vehicles over an hour away from home after driving 30 minutes south to the original location. We did pick this vehicle up as everything was already prepaid and the people at the Buford location was very helpful and accommodating. However, we will never rent from this company again and most certainly not the Woodstock location nor will we recommend it. I will definitely stick with Enterprise as I have in the past....shouldve known. And for those of you that dont know.... Some car dealerships rent vehicles out as well.

The vehicle had an awful odor. I called to swap it out and was told by Demarco he would call me back. Never heard from anyone and was stuck with the vehicle for 16 days. It literally gave me a headache, I hardly drove it and my wife couldnt ride with me due to the smell. Read the reviews before going here!
The guy Keith I believe is his name (He wasnt clear on it) is rude, on friendly and a axx. This was my experience while there. Then called weeks later an was asked to be placed on hold 12 minutes later still nothing, so I hung up and called back and finally answered and asked again to be placed on hold and didnt wait for me to say anything. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO USE THEM UNLESS YOU DEAL WITH THE LADY THERE!

All I can say is if youre having issues, talk to Nakia. Hertz better hope and pray he NEVER leaves, he is the ONLY reason I will return here if the need arises.1 star because I cant give zero(0).-First, our reservation was NOT even on the lot, there were absolutely no vehicles comparable on the lot. This was a paid for reservation.-We were not the only reservation that was not available.-My mom, who rushed to be here before close, was very upset about everything.-They had no inkling of sympathy for their companies screw up.-Because my mom was so furious, she called the customer service # to get this fixed.-A vehicle came available and the phone CS rep and office were back and forth saying the other had to make adjustments. The available vehicle is $700 as opposed to our reservation at about $300.-There is one employee that wants to help make it right, but also stated to another customer because you raised little hell 🤔 my mom was standing right there...Hertz you really need to get yourself together...
The Hertz on Cobb could kearn a lot from the folks running this facility. I had a reservation and the address I was sent to in my confirmation email did not exist. So I went to one a couple of miles down the road. They refused to help me. Said i wasnt in the system. So I left frustrated. I was needing a car. So I called Woodstock and she told me that if I will get there before 5 she would help me. I did and they took care of me. Got me in the vehicle in just a few moments and sent in my way. Wonderful job and I cannot thank yo I enough.

I’ve used this hertz location as we live in Woodstock. I like renting a car when we go on long trips to keep the mileage off my vehicles.I generally reserve online or the web. I’m Five Star so I sometimes I get an upgrade with Sirius active or just a nicer car.But, they’ve always had a car for me ready to go. I’ve had an issue a couple times where they gave me a smoky car, but I worked with them immediately before driving away and they got me a different car.Returns also have been quick and I have not seen a surprise in charges, but I always confirm the final bill against the estimate first (at least the final amount). Just seems like a good idea.I look forward to getting a car over Thanksgiving to head back to Wisconsin.

I have rented vehicles from across the country for years as a business traveler. This was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. This location needs a face-lift from Hertz corporate whether that is new management or some new vehicles? I’d look elsewhere given the choice until they can get it together.

I prepaid for a rental for my son to come visit me. Because he did not have the same credit card with my name he was not able to pick up the car. I have tried numerous times calling with very long wait times in excess of 30 minutes. Still no refund for my fees!
I was around 2 hrs to take my rented car. I was rented one month ago! There was 3 suv, one needed oil change, the other one they couldnt find the key and the last one they hadnt in the place.
On the sign it says they open at 8 am and someone showed up at 9:30am. Also they wanted to charge us extra for returning the van at Woodstock. Even though they new that the Canton location was completely shut down!! They were the worst
Had to replace a battery for $195 and the manager could not reimburse me. Been trying to get my money back for over a month and every week I call the manager is unavailable or at another location which they cannot give that info out. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra block to Enterprise. This Hertz location is beyond a joke.
Absolutely horrible service. Staff are rude and condescending. I accidentally left several things in the trunk of the car when i returned it. Staff claimed there was absolutely nothing in the trunk, and by the time I had called them, they had already rented the car to someone else. When i had initially rented the car, a full water bottle was left under one of the seats from the previous driver, so obviously they dont thoroughly check the car before renting it out to the next person. I had to file a police report for the stolen/lost items, especially since the car tag to my previous car was in there, along with personal paperwork. Horrible experience, especially since I have had to deal with all of the many things that come with getting in a car wreck, which is why I was renting from them in the first place. Did not surprise me AT ALL that the google reviews were already so bad.
Five star means I should walk in, grab the keys, and leave. They took my reserved car to get lunch, lied about getting it washed, gave me a dirty car with fuel on 1/8, and took 20 minutes to accomplish it. A $20 apology credit is less valuable than my time.

Car was dirty when I got it. The service person badgered me over not getting the insurance for the car when I already have my own full coverage insurance. And then to top it all off, the guy asked if I would complete a survey when I dropped my car off, picked up MY phone to put the website and code in, and then continued on to complete the survey FOR ME including specific comments about how nice and wonderful he was until I asked for my phone back! What a joke!! Do NOT believe any positive reviews you see about this place.
Hertz corporate really needs to help out their local rental places. I excepted a nice clean mini van Chrysler Pacifica or similar.. a Dodge grand caravan was what I received and it was not clean (they said their car wash was not working well) and the van smelled like smoke on the inside. On top of that the internet went down, and I had to complete a manual contract but I didnt get my copy. Ive had good experiences with Hertz at the airport, and I expected the same level of quality, but my expectations were NOT met. The people working there were as helpful as they could be and kind, but they are obviously not given any help from Hertz corporate, and it shows.
I rent with this location a couple times a month seeing that my company prefers I rent cars vs reimburse me for mileage. Tim (manager) and his staff are always nice and accommodating. Because I live so close to their facility they regularly pick me up and drop me off as well. This branch is great to work with.
This is the worst Hertz location I have ever been to. I work in the customer service industry and this is not the place you want to go! Nikia is extremely rude and inconsiderate. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost! The canton Hertz was very professional and helpful which will keep me coming back in the future.
Hate Hertz had a sm accident. cost $600to fix. they charge $800. my insurance company said were not paying for the repairs only. Hertz told me I would b black listed if the whole $800 wasnt paid.
Had a reservation for a minivan set through my insurance company for weeks. When I called the day of my pickup, I was told they did not have any minivans available. My family of 6 was leaving on a 9 day cross country trip in two days...they offered a Kia Sorento (seats 7 but has approximately 2 square feet of trunk space) and that was “all they had”. Told me it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. Got there in about 20 minutes and the car still wasn’t ready. Terrible customer service and severely lacking in inventory of cars. When I asked what the point of my reservation was, their response was “we do they best we can.” 🙄🙄🙄
The insurance company reserved a pick up truck for me because thats whats a tall person needed but when I got to the location all they had for me was a small Kia car. Not a good choice for a 66 person. They would not up grade for me because all the other vehicles were reserved. The people were friendly but not helpful.

Dishonest: Avoid at all costs. I Was charged LDW insurance fee $91.96 even though I told them I do not need it. Was told my credit card would be credited back in 2 weeks....never happened. Had to dispute the charge. I will notify State Farm as well as they probably over charged them too. Thats just flat out WRONG.Also the car was dirty, smelled, had food stuck on the window.
An emergency cane up while I was on vacation in Woodstock, GA. I had an Uber drop me off at Hertz. They asked if I had reservations, said no. They told me there was an Arvis across the highway I could go to. I made the remarks, let me just walk across the highway with all my luggage!!!!!!! They ran my credit report so I could use my debit card, since I don’t own. A credit card. They were tired of dealing with me and got me car and send me ok my way. I have no idea what time I’m suppose to return the car, I have no idea what my confirmation numberIs to “manage/change” my reservation. I’ve called their phone number and it’s just rings and rings. No one has ever answered.
Worst service and worst run rental agency I have ever seen. Called 3 times to confirm my pickup three days before hand. Call the morning of and no one answers the phone for 10 minutes of trying. Took 20 mins to come pick me up from 1.7 miles away and when I wasnt sure if they were coming I tried calling again and no answer to the phone again.Waiting in line and none of the cars are re-cleaned so after taking 10 mins to check someone out they wait another 10 minutes to wait for the cars to be cleaned? Who doesnt have a fleet precleaned and ready to go. You think you would have staff come in and clean all the cars.From my first call at 8:47 am to finally getting my car at 9:52 ... Slow as molasses

Cars smell like cigarettes. Stains, little to no gas in the cars. Very rude and dry customer service. Not upbeat or personable at all. The tall black guy with light brown eyes. Fair skin tone. Hes the worst. Answers the phone and instantly ask the customers to hold and he never checks back in. He even left to go outside and came back and never checked the phone. I will never rent from here AGAIN!
We rent from Hertz frequently but usually use the Canton location. We always have fast and good costumer service there and expected the same from Woodstock location. Nikia was beyond rude to me, spoke down to me, and was beyond unhelpful with questions. We were quoted for 230$ and he was going to charge me 750$ for things he did not want to explain to me and gave me attitude for asking about it. I explained my fiancé usually does the car rentals so I wasn’t sure how everything worked. My fiancé ended up having to come in and do it because the price was ridiculous and I honestly felt too uncomfortable to continue dealing with him. Nikia continued to be rude to him as well. It ended up taking about an hour and to get everything set up and to leave. Most frustrating rental experience ever.

You all Double charged my account for a rental extension and I have other things I need to do with my money! You all totally inconveniencing me! Took extra money without asking me! I called customer care and they tell me they can’t see the charges and I have to contact the location! It’s 2018 and you all can’t see each other’s information you put in the system? This don’t make no sense at all!! You all need to upgrade your system ASAP! This is a shame!

Dear Hertz,I recently experienced a terrible ordeal with your Hertz rental car office at 5750 Windward parkway Alpharetta Ga. The treatment of your customer was horrific. I have a business and we rent cars all the time for clients. This car rental happened to be through State Farm. I know they do a lot of business with you and I am going to voice my experience with your company to everyone I know. I plan to write letters to your corporate office as well.The rudeness and total lack of respect your employee Kay had with me on 2/8 & 2/10 was unwarranted and show extreme lack of professionalism. The manager Anthony was unprofessional and disrespectful. I ended up going to Enterprise rental where I was treated as a valued customer. I proceeded to rent 2 cars and my experience with them was courteous and pleasant.I wonder if you really care for your customers experience with your company.

Poor customer service, inconsistent statements regarding rules between the workers, the system has been down the last three times I have gone in or called and the cars are dirty. I travel a lot for work so poor customer service and dirty cars are something I dont want to deal with every week. I will definitely be going to the Kennesaw Hertz for all of my future rentals.

I have rented from this location about 3 - 4 times this year. It seems to always be an issue with something, either the car type I reserved or billing me for an extra day. Well this time was particularly disappointing because when I showed up the car was getting an oil change and there were no other cars available, but somehow there were people picking up cars the entire time I was waiting. After waiting an hour for the vehicle it returns and then they say that it has yet to be released (from where I have no idea), so I wait an additional 20 minutes. Then they have to vacuum the car, which could have been done while waiting to be released. Finally they give me the keys and the car looks like it had been driven in the jungle and someone with involuntary shakes was drinking coffee in the front seat. I am a gold member with Hertz and have been for some time and this type of service, or lack there of, is truly unsatisfactory. I hope I am never forced to rent from the local dealerships again because I generally use the airport locations. Unfortunately this one is the closest to my house and more convenient (so I thought).Sincerely,Disappointed and aggravated

My husband and I use Hertz all over the country and have for years. We needed to book something last minute and instead of going to our normal location in Alpharetta we chose to go closer to home. Big Mistake! They didn’t honor our on-line rate, tried to charge us an additional $125 for a one day rental than the price given to us on-line and not even the manager would assist. We left without the car and made other arrangements. This is NOT how a business should be run. I’m not done woth Hertz but I am done woth this location. Back to Alpharetta.

People do yourself a favor, NEVER RENT A CAR FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!!!! Made a reservation a week in advance, even called to get an upgrade and they said no problem. Got there this morning and guess what? NO CARS!!!!!! 4 other families were going through the same thing and they did not care. Local management there had nothing to say, they were not making any kind of suggestions or any kind of concessions at all. All of the cars that were there were for people that were pre-paid and they were being dangled in front of us all like a worm on a hook to a fish. The lack of empathy was appalling and I will go as far as I can go to make sure everyone knows to avoid this location no matter what. Just called to get an update, Spoke with Tim (Manager) no sympathy at all whatsoever doesnt even care about what he and his staff have done to peoples plans that were planned 1 to 2 weeks in advance.
Scheduled a rental car while mine was in the shop. They took so long to pick me up the auto repair place called them twice to see where they were since they are located just down the street. The driver had stopped for breakfast and coffee while i was waiting on them to pick me up.
Car level I reserved they didnt have so they tried to downgrade me. Had to demand they upgrade me. This location has a real problem honoring reservations... Next i got the car with the windows down...odd for a cold day. 5 miles down the road I figured out it was a smokers car - they figured I would not notice until I was down the road an hour. Thats unethical, plain and simple. Wont be renting there agIn. Ever.

Very unhappy, terrible expirience especially with guy calls Austin. We booked car and price should be $900, unfortunately our cc didnt work for full ammount. We were charged deposit and car was booked for few days with possibility to extend reservation. Austin didnt explain to us that we will be charged extra money!! Our full payment was $1400!!!! I will never use Hertz company again!
The experience was OK until I returned the car.Here is what happened....Soon after leaving Hertz when I rented the car, I went to adjust the rear view mirror and it fell off in my hand. I should have returned to the Hertz location however I was already late to leave for a meeting.I made the trip without the mirror in place and thought its no big deal, obviously a defect or just a victim of the 100 degree day. Im sure nobody has ever had a rear view mirror fall off in the heat of summer.So I get back and I am told they are going to charge me for a new mirror when it simply needs to be pushed back on the mount. They claim it was broken. Now I am sure that the guy who never came out to look at it is a GM Certified Mechanic and can make that determination from behind his desk. He must be like Carnac the Magnificent from the Johnny Carson Show. He held the mirror to his head and said... The Great Carnacs divine spirit says to replace the mirrorI understand why they only get positive reviews from Aunt Phyliss and all regular business people give then a bad review.
This location can not get anything right. In addition to charging me a 50 deposit I was charged an additional 101 dollars for what I do not know. I was never told this additional charge would happen. I check my bank account on line and saw the charge,. They could not close my ticket the staff needed a managers help.How hard is it to operate a computer to close out a ticket for returning a car? This is not brain surgery or rocket science work you do.Hertz please retrain the staff at this location. How long does it take to get your money back.

Gave my reservation away, then charged extra for another vehicle which I had no choice to go with and waited an hour to get the car cleaned. Not a fan.

Reserved a van October 19th for our Christmas trip to OH. Woodstock, GA location tried to give us a piece of junk to drive. New York license plates, Rust, Stains EVERYWHERE inside, scratches and 70,000 miles on this vehicle.Employee was not helpful at all. They had 1 other Toyota van which only needed a tire change. Yes this Hertz is located right inside Hennessey Honda car repair but they said they had to send it out somewhere else for a tire change. Terrible customer service!My husband rents from Hertz for business purposes but I will make sure that he NEVER RENTS FROM HERTZ again.Needless to say, we did not accept this piece of junk and had to cancel our trip since other rental companies were overbooked for the holidays. Thanks Hertz for making our holidays special.
