Very poor customer service. Very poor service. We have had this service over a year and they still dont have it working correctly cant stream movies without the circle of death . Cant play games without loosing connections . Make several calls with promise of call back They never call .Sure happy to take your money but that is all pay 3 months in advance but come October I will be going back to my previous provider.
Customers beware!! Make sure and read contract! They do not guarantee anything, not even their workmanship! Their technicians dont know that leaves grow on trees 9 months of the year! Put my system in in January and pointed thru a large amount of trees. Worked till the leaves came out. Called and asked to relocate and they said it would cost me for a service call 95.00. They literally said we cant possibly know where leaves will grow on trees! Unbelievable!!!! Then to cancel they want to charge 95.00 to come out and take down! Stay away!!!! Rick
Last week my router apparently died, per Wes in Tech Supoort I purchased a new one which required additional programming and finesse. It took a couple of days but we are up and running!!! Wes and Michelle were professional and responsive throughout, despite my frustration and distrust of the process. Many thanks, highly recommend.
Ive had Wave2Net for about 6 months or so and I have to say, the service is quite good. Ive been working with technology for over 20 years, including having run my own WISP (Wireless ISP) in the past. While there are always many challenges in providing high quality broadband service wirelessly, especially to residential customers in this specific market, Wave2Net delivers. The connection they provide me has had a very nice consistent reliability. Ive observed no wild traffic swings during peak demand hours, the latency is good, and their network seems to have the bandwidth when its needed. Ive had a small outage at one point, I opened a support case and the issue was handled right away in a very professional manner. Id recommend Wave2Net to anyone looking for quality broadband in the Winchester and surrounding mountain region.
The service is okay—at best—when it is actually working. We haven’t had any internet for over a week. There have been updates over this period indicating service will be up soon, only to get another update, and another, saying the same thing. Like many others, working from home is now a necessity. This provider makes that impossible. Customer “service” hours are 9-5 on weekdays (if they answer) and there is no one available in the evenings or over the weekend. If we had other options in our area, we would not think twice about switching.
We have been Wave2net customers for nearly 15 years. The value of their service has increased exponentially over the years and we are very pleased with their customer service and professional demeanor. We had an issue with an event that also took out our router. Rudy was able to come out the next day after we called to take care of it and install a surge suppressor. We live in the middle of nowhere, so good internet is hard to come by! Were grateful for the service Wave2net provides!
Awful Speeds even with this covid upgrade they have been doing. The prices are crazy. I could get 200 down for Verizon with a even cheaper price but unfortunately I dont live in that area. Its been down for almost 4-5 days. They say it will be up in a day or they are working on it and its not till the next day they update it. I highly do NOT recommend if you have other opportunities. Thank You
Probably the worst internet ever. It’s always down, the speed is awful, and for as much as they charge for the internet, it’s not worth it. They need to do better.
Unreliable. No service for days straight. Even when it works, the speeds are far lower than advertised. Even with all these problems, it costs as much as high quality internet. Would not recommend. If I could, I would give it a 0 star review.
Wave2Net selected and applied latest technology and significant site analysis to meet our requirements for robust, high performance Internet access in a mountainous area that has only been served by satellite systems. They installed a customized solution while obtaining coordination among rural neighbors miles apart. The service representatives/installers were dedicated, professional, courteous, and focused on the details of the installation. They worked beyond normal service hours to complete and test the new installation -- which has been fully operational from the time of installation. The finished installation looks simple and unobtrusive, however, the effort required thoughtful analysis, a custom installation, and comprehensive testing.Good job!
Update: Rudy called. Appears there was a terminology miss understanding and I’ll take the blame. When you get a call at 9pm at night to solve an issue (he just returned home from working). Yea. I’ll say that’s customer service. So thank you wave2net. (Below is my original) Average less then half what they claim I should get not to mention constant outages every evening. Then we you ask when it will be fixed “we are working on it” for an answe for months in a row. If you have options go there. Please post and say I don’t pay my bill and I have not tried for months to resolve this. Right now my internet down again. I ask for credit and told it’s not been out for 24hrs straight. I ask when this will be fixed? “We don’t know” is the answer. It is out every night at the same time. Current speed 1.18 down load. .39 upload.
Thank you Wave2net! Another satisfied customer.Great customer support, quick/thorough install, and very professional staff.
The Wave2Net team recently installed their latest generation service at my rural home. Previously, we had very low success with Internet services, and could not enjoy Netflix or work reliably from our home office. With the newest service, our Internet service is fast and stable. The technicians at Wave2Net made two visits for their installation, just to ensure that everything worked properly and at maximum speed and reliability. Great customer experience, would highly recommend.
Okay so at first, I had good WiFi service but then we encountered issues, slow, no connection, called for support but no one returned calls, it was a bit aggravating and I lost my patience a few times but I do have to say that wave 2 net and their staff, especially Rudy have been very willing to help and solve my issues. I mean it would be easy to complain about every little detail but in the grand scheme things, the staff is very willing and helpful and will try everything In their power to help resolve the issue.
Had fast reliable internet when first installed. Now that were 2 months in to service. I only have a upload speed of 0.26 mbps when they claim its supposed to be upwards of 15 mbps. Have tried calling and to fix the problem for 3 weeks now and no one will come out and even remotely look at the issue.
I am amending a previous negative review after having a wonderful experience with wave2net staff and the owner himself. Our Internet went out after a recent storm and Rudy came out the same day, almost immediately, and replaced and upgraded our equipment. We live a long way off the beaten path so for Rudy to come out as quickly as he did was impressive. The upgraded equipment is lightning fast and streams everything we need as a family. Customer service was great! Michele is personable and kind. I recommend wave2net, especially for rural customers. Thanks again Rudy!
Couldnt be happier with Wave2Net. Whole family can be on their devices at the same time and we get no slow downs. It is such a relief to finally have a provider with no data caps or throttling. Happy too that they are a local company: my dollars stay local and their service feels more personal.
Wave2net has been my internet provider for several years now. I am happy with their quick and professional response when needed. Both office staff and the in home employees are pleasant and very responsible.
Great service so far. Internet installed in a rural setting near Boyce, VA, about 5 days ago and speeds are good...nice customer service follow-up. When the installation encountered problems, the President of the company came out the same day and found a solution that was implemented with brand new technology. If the service remains this strong, I will wish Id gone with Wave2Net long ago!
It really a bad place for unlimited internet service, it cut by it self, i have been calling them non stop but no one answer the call
Well, they gave it the old college try. I upgraded to the Level 2 Gen 4 service (10/5) in October 2015, and havent ever gotten over 8/2. I understand that the service is best effort, but it certainly seems that they have oversold the capacity of the network. Very predictably, at around 6 PM the bandwidth plummets and at about 8:30 AM its high again. The tech spent 4 hours trying to improve my signal and was unable. Despite having on their homepage Trees are not an issue. We can see through the trees., apparently they are a problem, and they cant so much see through them. The main contact at support (CJ) has always been responsive and done his best to be helpful, and I absolutely appreciate his efforts.Today they gave up on me being able to get the 10/5 service Ive paid for for 10 months, they offered me a credit of 2 months difference between the 6/3 and 10/5 service, explaining that Ive gotten over 6MB download speed a few times (although Ive never gotten over 2MB up). At least its some concession. One final note: think twice before asking them do any cabling, you would be much better off buying your own. They charge $1.50 a foot for CAT5 cable, on top of the service call charge and hourly rate. You can buy a 1000 roll of CAT5e Outdoor-rated cable for ~$150. (yes, they are marking it up 1000%!!!!)
I recently had an issue with my internet service from Wave2Net that required a fast turnaround visit to a second property that we are not at during the week. I had a house full of company coming, and the Internet was down due to recent upgrades. Wave2Net worked me into the service schedule on short notice, and the guys that came out were courteous, respectful, and spent extra time with me to make sure the connection performance was maxed out. They showed up on time and stayed as long as it took. They were great.
Whole process went very well. Took a bit longer than I would have liked to schedule an appointment. But, once that was done, everything was great. My service technician was the friendliest and most knowledgeable person I have ever worked with. I have had the service for over a week, and while it is not cable speed (cant get that speed in my neck of the woods), it is much better than the speeds I was getting at Verizon over DSL. Highly recommend Wave2Net!
I wish I could give it less than one star! First off, my mom was told that the guy would come to set up the system at 11 am, didnt show. My mom called and spoke to a rude lady, she said the guy had another meeting so it would be later, but definitely before 1 pm, and she didnt even apologize. Oh and the guy double booked, the meeting was for another job of his. Sorry he has to work two, so do I though!Second. No one calls to say, hey, Im so, so, sorry! We will be a bit late! I know this is disappointing because you too have a life! I know we are supposed to be on time and that you are paying us for your service! We messed up!?Third. Dude didnt show until 3. Didnt apologize at all! My mom had to cancel her her meeting and doctors appointment and was stuck in the house all day.Fourth. Since its been installed, there has been poor connection or no connection at all! Its way worse than what we had before! I can only recall not service going out may be five times over the years.Oh and, just to remind you, you are an Internet provider. On your page there is no way to email you! I mean seriously?! Its no wonder to me that you have such a poor rating!Im calling on Monday! Youd better not have an attitude, youd better apologize, and youd better come out when you say you are going to! Love how you show good reviews on your site but there are none on here!Way to suck at what you are payed to do!
Signed up, invoiced, paid around $400 for service in early July. Had an installation date around the week of August 20th where they were unable to install (tree coverage was too thick, understandable). Was promised a refund check for all refundable fees. A month later, after several calls, I just paid a visit to their office at 2pm and was told there was no one who could sign a check for my refund.Dont do business with this company. Im out over $300 with no recourse in sight. Should have paid via credit card so I could charge back.
Worst ever company I have personally ever dealt with. I followed every detail to the letter in closing my account. They promised me a refund check in 30 days. That was August 2018. December is just 6 days away and I have yet to see a check and after making several calls. Each time I am told my check will be processed and mailed to me by Friday. So I guess its to Small Claim court now. BEWARE new subscribers. They will take but will never give you your money back. I would give zero stars if possible.Just to be clear. I bent the pole that the antenna was on and messed with the alignment. You charged me $176.00 for the repair. I paid for the mistake. If you put a credit on my account, only you saw it.UPDATE: It took 4 months, several calls, a post to Facebook, Google Review, and report to the BBB, but I finally got my promised refund today. I never had a issue with the installers in the field. They were some of the nicest people I have ever met, but getting your money back when you cancel your account is going to take some work on your part.
So, i switched from their competitor in the area for wireless internet service(i wont even name them for a plug), and i have been happy. Now Michele, there office manager has been great. Replies right away and always assumes responsibility for an issue. I have had them for a couple months and had some issues, but they admit the issue and stay with me. They wont even close a ticket until the resolution is known. The issue being fixed isnt enough. My last provider would lie and ignore my calls consistently. Now, if i have Comcast, i would go with them but as far as wireless internet providers, compared to the others out there, they are pretty good. I pay about $85 a month which is high, for 25 mbps which is low but for in an area with no broadband and others charge $150 for 10 over 2, its not horrific. I commend their professionalism.
Internet speed very low. Have contacted service and we run the requested tests. A service ticket is issued, then nothing. Call back same scenario. Call administration, again no call back. Call again nothing. If you have another choice take it.
A great place to get unlimited rural internet service! No contracts and it sure beats having hughesnet for internet! Been a customer for years and have always been very happy
The worst customer service I’ve ever had, hands down! They did some work for me at my diner, and everything was fine and just recently the tickets that print to the kitchen are coming out all messed up, it’ll print out the same order twice or it will miss an order. So I had called Ruddy (supposedly the owner) is who actually provided me with the terrible customer service, said he’s declining to come up and check his work. Because they already checked it when they were there when they did the work the first time, but obviously were having issues with the connection. So they take your money and screw you over, I wish I would had read the reviews on this horrible business before giving them my money... I wouldn’t recommend using this company EVER!
Ive been very happy with the internet service and customer service provided by Wave2Net. Its difficult to get quality internet service in my rural area, but Wave2Net provides the best, by far.
I am very happy with our service. We can finally stream videos without the cursor spinning for minutes. We can download the large upgrades to without using up all our data. I was worried that weather might affect the services, but that is minimal. The staff is helpful and pleasant, even when I mistakenly spouted off about an issue we initially had following installation. Ive had satellite and a cellular hotspot for service and there is no comparison since Wave2Net is so far superior. I recommend them whenever the topic comes up, and the person that told me loves the service, too!
Technicians have upgraded our PoE modem and antenna. Were averaging download speeds now of over 12MB! VERY happy with these new upgrades. The technicians were fast and professional. THANK YOU!
Crooks. Pure and simple. They will take your money happily. Then, when they say they can not provide service at your location, they will keep your money. They will not return phone calls. They will not return emails. Show up at their office and demand your refund - and they will have a convenient reason for why they can not. Oh. That person isnt here. Blah, Blah, Blah.
We live west of Inwood WV. I have been a customer for over a year now. Service has been good at best. Its very unreliable. I long for better reliability with this company. They should offer refunds when they are down. The two year contract is like a prison sentence...It should be 6 month...And then monthly thereafter. My wife says it should get a one star.
Very dishonest and dont pay their bills.
How do you give zero stars? AVOID Wave2net! I had the exact same experience as the other recent reviews. I was initially told they could provide service. After 3 weeks of not being provided with an installation date, I canceled. 2 weeks later I am still trying to get the installation fee credited back. A headache that is not worth it. Do yourself a favor and research this company.
Worst damn company I have ever had to deal with. I have had their service for 2 years and have maybe had a total of 6 months worth of internet. I will NOT reccomend this company to my worst enemy. I might as well throw $100 in a fire every month for 2 years... I wouldve gotten the same out of it. Called today and told them they can come get their equipment. They have no problem blowing up my phone for a signature to bill me but cannot return my phone calls or stand behind their word (Rudy!). Good ridens!!!
I was a customer of Wave2Net and have had problems with the service since day one (June 2017) I decided to discontinue service November 2017. I understand that I had to give a 30 day notice; however, the service was disconnected by December 1, 2017 (actually before Thanksgiving) which was paid up to December 12, 2017 according to the 30 day notice. When I wanted to discontinue service I was treated with disrespect. I was told they would charge $98.00 to come to the residence to remove the equipment and I opt to do it myself. I had to make an appointment to bring the equipment in for inspection. Upon arrival I was told they cannot do it right now they would do it later on in the week. Now I have to pay $6.00 for a grommet along with an administrative fee of $3.00. I know that a grommet does not cost $6.00 it is much cheaper. It is a shame people are treated this way because they discontinue their service
Worst ever.. too much downtime....you can almost predict end of month and weekend downtime. Curious???? But i can draw my own conclusion!
Wave2Net has done a great job and continue to look for ways to increase the options they offer, they address any issues quickly and professionally and I have been with them for over a decade.
Both of the ladies in the office were nice. Thats the only positive thing that I can say. I was told over the phone that the service that I wanted would work at our home (not the satellite service they offer). They require paying hundreds up front before they will install so I did. They said they had to order my equipment so it was in in only a couple of days then they scheduled my install for almost a month later. When they came out I asked the gentleman about my new equipment. He said that he didnt have any new equipment just some refubusished and used stuff. Then he walked around for 5 minutes or so and said that they couldnt provide the service that I requested and they said they were confident would work. He then offered their satellite service which I declined and then and before hand over the phone before han. So, I had to call and request a refund. They said sure. I checked the credit card statement and nothing. I called again and they have to send you a check...silly. Oh, and they hold onto an admin fee and a trip fee of about $40! Wow...I wish them well and hope they succeed. Its just going to be tough though, doing business like that.
Good internet service especially those in the rural areas of Frederick County, VA with little internet options. I love having the unlimited option because with kids, cellphones, tablets, and online school demands, I dont need anything slowing us down or costing a fortune. If a problem arises, they have great tech support that will help resolve your issues.
I have been communicating with Wave2Net for a couple of weeks now regarding internet service. Their customer service is great. Even tho wave2net couldnt provided service to my house (we live pretty far into the boonies) they STILL took the time to help me and make sure I was happy with whatever service I went with! Michelle is who was helping me the most and sometimes a girl names Kendell and they were both great. Thank you for all your help Wave2Net I am happy with the internet i had to go with, I am still sad it wasnt with you.
Been a week and NO response to my open ticket. We called and were told that their repair schedule has not been finalized yet. What? So, does this mean im going to get reimbursed for not having Internet service for a week now? After today, it will be over a week. Ive been a customer for several years (around 10 or so) and I just cant take it anymore! This place is the absolute worst ever. Does this company have a clue as to what customer service means? And, this is NOT an isolated incident...they never call you back and have the worst Tier 1 support...total waste of time. Im on hold now....going on 12 minutes on hold...trying to find out if they will schedule my repair sometime this year. Looking for other carriers at this point. Negative 1 stars.UPDATE RE: YOUR RESPONSE - This is a perfect example of poor customer service. My complaint was made 4 days prior to any work being done on my roof. This was explained to the technical support person. This issue pre-existed the roofing work. We NEVER received a call back as promised regarding my issue. Only 2 days ago (the day the roofers came) did we receive an email telling us that a staff member will reach out shortly on the status of my call. Yesterday, we called and were told it was still waiting to be scheduled. I called again today and told the same thing. Its very interesting that this got tentatively scheduled minutes after I posted this review on Google. You shouldnt blame customers first for these issues.
Horrible everything! Read the reviews and if you still decide to use Wave2Net I dont feel sorry for you. Im not sure how this company is still in business.
I am a long term customer for one reason only It is nice when it works as you dont have a max. to your usage (that is the only reason for the second star!) The technical service and customer service sucks to the point that you will believe they only like your money and dont give anything about you as a customer. Get used to the fact that you might have them on speed dial because if it happens like with me right now you end up losing internet several times a month. And the new faster most reliable solution they have waveolution well I got it and it was nice at first, right now Im losing internet connection on a daily basis for up to 10 hours for almost a month now, with no response or solution from them for almost 2 weeks now.(As a reply to the response from the owner, yes I am a customer and you have me under a different mail address) Rudy, it is really nice to hear from you when it comes to not so favorable reviews. It would be even better to hear from you anything in response to the ticket number 2409 which is now open since May 02 starting with an issue starting in April! If you want to work with your customers it might be helpful to respond to there tickets when they have a problem with your service. Your last response I could see was on May 03 just giving some advice what it could be which it wasnt. If you want to work with your customers, do it and respond to there problems instead of doing nothing but taking the money I send you every month. There were several requests from me to your technical support and to your customer service to fix the problem and speak to management. Nothing happened, so dont try to talk it all smooth on google. If you want better ratings you have to do something with your service. Your product could be great when it would be reliably working and when the response to problems would not be so arrogant or just missing.Update from May 2019 the service got better. The original problem was finally fixed after my original review it had to do with the antenna and a broken wire. I still have an outage and slow speed about once a month but mostly only for a few minutes and it seems that if If I have an outage and post a claim via email on my cellphone, because I dont have internet service at that moment, someone is checking it and fixing it as soon as possible. I upgraded the rating from 2 to 3 stars.
4 days and counting with no internet!!We have not had internet service for the past 3 days and we have called Wave2Net every day without a response. I just called again this morning at 9am and was just told by the office manager, who was very annoyed that I called, that someone will get back to me by the end of the day. If you are going to use Wave2Net, you better have a back plan for when the network goes down.Called back at 10am, Wave2Net responded that they would call us back.11am called Wave2Net to find out the status, nothing.11:10am a technician finally called, but nothing is resolved.11:45am Wave2Net called to let me know that a technician would be at my house by 1pm2:15pm I called to find out where the technician was...he has not left the Wave2Net building, but will shortly...should arrive by 2:45pm5pm on the 4th day we finally have internet
WeveW had them for less than 6 months. Service has almost always been insanely unreliable, but it would work within a day or so. In the month of april the service essentially has not worked and I have put in several tickets to be met with no response. Their customer service for tech support is just calling and talking to someone who puts in a ticket for you. You never get a technician. Their prices are silly high and any change you want to make costs money, including upgrading or even getting someone to look at your equipment they installed. Im nervous to stop service because that costs money too. Businesses like these are why small ISPs cant compete. They offer a terrible product and make you pay insane rates for that terrible product--along with anything else you need help with. At least theyre somewhat upfront about service call costs and everything, but seriously beware the reliability. Youre likely better off going with a mobile hotspot from a phone than this, which is what we do most of the time anyways. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
I have been paying over $100 per month for over a year now for 10mbps down and 5 mbps up. I average 2 and below 1 even in off hours. They do not guarantee speed, you will have to sign a two year contract, and when asked if they have a responsibility to even try and provide the service paid for they refer you back to tech. support. I have called tech. support a minimum of 50 times and the speed has never changed. DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE AND SIGN UP WITH WAVE2NET NO MATTER WHAT.
The service started slow and went down on sundays but thats to be expected where I live, however, recently we have received a supposedly upgraded plan. This plan was supposed to give 15mbps download and 3mbps upload. Since this upgrade the wifi is down 2 to 3 times a day rainy or clear, and the usual speed is 3-4 mbps download and less than mbps upload.
This is my second 1-star review of Wave2Net. My first review was what it took to catch Rudys attention enough to fix our issues, so I thought Id be a nice guy and remove it. My mistake - just when I thought we had moved past our issues, they continue to astound me with their customer service and business practices. Our service was installed right after we moved to our new house in May of 2018 with an estimated speed of 25mb down and 5 mb up. On the day of install, they put up an antennae that did not get service at all. This was not communicated to us. They did come back two days later and put up a new antennae that did actually get service and provide us with some internet. That internet ranged between 6-8 mb down and 2-3 mb up. We were busy settling into our new house and some internet is better than no internet so it was not high priority to get resolved immediately.I spent nearly two months making weekly if not daily phone calls to Wave2Net to figure out our issues. My tickets were always escalated and call backs promised. Never once did I receive any sort of call back or update. Continued calls resulted in the same loop, without ever being able to speak to someone competent enough to actually look at what was going on. Repeated requests for someone to just come to my house and see what I was seeing were noted in my ticket and never brought any attempted resolution. It wasnt until I wrote my initial 1-star Google review that, magically, Wave2Net called me to say theyve determined that they should come out and take a look at whats going on.Rudy determined that our receiver was only operating on 1 out of 2 channels (Why this would not be easily diagnosed during the first phone call I made in June, I am not sure) and that we should replace it with a stronger receiver. He came out the next day and put it up, and instantly our speeds were exactly where they should be. I removed my negative online review, and assumed that I would go on paying my monthly bill and everyone was happy. Again, my mistake.A week or two later, I receive a $98 service call bill. This struck me as a bit odd, since I was never informed of any cost prior to the service call, and I also disagreed with being charged for fixing the service that never worked properly from the date of install. After 2 months of not paying the $98 charge, I receive an email that my payment for last months bill had been applied to the service call charge (That now included a late fee, of course), and that I would owe $133 otherwise my service would be cut off after 11/2/2018. Needless to say this did not sit well with me. After some back and forth, Rudy finally called me to discuss. He finally reached the (very poor) solution that they would retroactively bill me for the lower speed plan when I wasnt getting the speeds that I was paying for, and the credit that would be on my account would cover the $98 service call charge, and that they would waive the late fee. That is a joke, since obviously I was overbilled and now have to use my newfound credit to pay for a service call charge that never should have existed. It was better than paying again for a bogus fee so I accepted, once again thinking that we were free to move on with life. On October 11, I received an email from Rudy stating that they were going to waive the late fee, credit my account for the months where I was not receiving the service that I was paying for, and that it would cover the service call charge. I thought we were once again free to move on and done with this issue. Once again, my mistake. Half an hour ago I received a call from Beth stating that my credit wouldnt cover the full service call charge and that I owed an additional 20 something dollars.Rudy - dont bother responding. Pick up the phone and make a call if you want to respond. If you spent half the time that you do writing responses to negative online reviews, on improving your teams attitude, customer service, and business ethics - then you wouldnt have any negative reviews to respond to at all. Just some advice.
Horrible customer service. Even with the commercial package of high speed internet we cant watch a movie on one device without it pausing and loading very 2 minutes
This company is a joke. The internet sucks and their customer service is worse. Tech support is a joke. I have called them about a dozen times and they put tickets in for me but for some reason, they never get addressed and then they tell me call back in a day if someone hasnt called. 2 weeks later, still waiting for a call after calling them back a handful of times. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR SERVICE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!
I have had wave2net about 2 months now.Internet is extremely slow and very unrealible.Again this morning cant surf tghe net and or watch my Amazon fire stick.Seevice is only open till 6pm during the week.Initial set up costs are over $300I need a different solution for work.
I only gave one star because that is the lowest possible rating. I would have chosen a negative star if available. I want to make it clear that I am not the type of person that airs dirty laundry in public. However, I have never been treated so badly or disregarded with such indifference as I have by this company.Prior to this I was a wave2net customer for 10 years. The last Friday in July 2017, they came to switch out equipment - a switch they did- not one we requested. For 8 weeks it was a nightmare! We would have to go thru reboot and still no signal. We would call, they would ping us, say they could not see us... and then tell us to reboot. We had called 3-4 times to complain over the course of the next SIX weeks. We were put on an expedited service call status. Thank goodness it was fast service because their fast service took another 2 weeks. Finally the Texh came out; fixed what was installed wrong and said upon leaving, yeah, I should not have rushed because of the storm that was coming, referring to His work 8 weeks earlier.Wait for it- its not over-They want to bill us for the service call and only give credit for 14 daysoif service interruptions, because of the timeframes between our calls. I did not realize I had to light Their phone lines every single day to report no service status. There is not one employee in their company that tried to problem solve our situation and then no leadership to do the right thing about seeing the cause and effect and awarding due credit. They say in their website that they are the best at what they do . We find that hard to believe. They did not listen. They did not think. They did not respond in a timely, professional or competent manner.I will be waving good bye to wave2net as it is clear to me that the voice of reason of one customer does not matter them. They have no ability to meet the needs when a customer has problems.Amendment:To the owner of Wave2Net: It is most unfortunte that the above post was written in an elevated response to hearing the other adult in our home, again, on the ph with your office staff explaining this drawn out ridiculous process and result. Everything I stated only scratches the surface of the negative and unprofessional culture and mode of operation of the office staff we encountered on the ph...with the exception of my inperson exchange with Michelle..who did listen, make notes and follow through. I would like to retract the statements that sound as blame to the actual technician..Rudy could not have been more kind, thorough and professional in resolving our problem . Only our 2nd encounter after 10 years of service. I am a service business owner and understand the value of respected and dedicated employees who represent our companies mission. I trust you do the same and no other Wave2net customer will ever have the same experience.
Signed up with Wave2net about 18 months ago and have encountered only one outage, on a Sunday afternoon. The techs were already on top of it when I reported it and they called me later to be sure I was reconnected. For the first time ever we are able to stream Netflix HD movies in an area of northern Fauquier where no cable is available! I am a website designer and work from home—reliable service is imperative. I have been 100% satisfied.
This is absolutely the worst internet service I have ever had. We have made numerous calls to tech support, sometimes at least once a week to improve our service to no avail. The very first month we had this ridiculous service we had their so called techs here 6 times only to find out that they installed an outdated receiver. Oh and good luck to you scheduling an appointment. If you do get a hold of someone dont expect to be treated with any kind of respect. The last person I talked to had the worst customer service attitude Ive ever heard. Now then if youve decided to stick with this company and are able to schedule an appointment dont expect them to stick to the agreed upon time. If you were given the time of 11AM you can typically expect them to show at least 2 hours after the scheduled time if at all. The internet speed is a cruel joke. The speeds we signed up for are not even close to what we actually receive. Some days I would swear Ive traveled back in time to the days of 56k. As of right now it is 10:00PM which is not a peak time and I am currently receiving 2.6MBPS download and .5MBPS upload. I have called and listened to their automated service and my tower is not currently listed as out. Save yourself a headache and money and DO NOT use this internet service.
FOLLOW UP TO REPLY FROM OWNER:You are apologizing for not providing satisfactory service. That is not the issue - you cant keep everyone happy. However, you should not tell someone you can provide a service, fail to provide it and then cost them over $600! That is unethical and immoral - the only thing between that and robbery is a ski mask. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. EVEN IF THEY SAY THEY CAN GETYOU GOOD SPEEDS THEY ARE POSSIBLY NOT TELLING YOU THAT THEY OVERSELL THEIR TOWERS SO THAT USAGE SLOWS THE SPEEDS WAAAAAAAAY DOWN. Sold me a 10mps down package (fastest I could get) and in the evenings I would be LUCKY to get 1.5mps. Terrible. In the end it cost me almost $600 to get.......NOTHING.I will say that the folks I spoke to on the phone were nice and tried to help. Beyond that, this was, in my opinion, the most unprofessional and unethical business dealing I have ever been associated with. Wave2net visited my house and established that they could get a strong signal. Finally came to install and after almost 7 hours they figured out they had wrong tower and wrong equipment. Rescheduled for later in week; came back, and took over 7 hours to install. That night system not working - ran a speed test and found I was getting 200 KILObytes per second....yes KILO. Called in at 9 on Monday as that was their Tech Support start time. No answer. Called again at 9:15 and 9:30....finally called office and was told to call back at 10 despite tech hours being 9-5. Called back and got a very nice guy.....had to schedule yet another appointment to install yet another dish. This time they installed a monstrously hideous 10 dish, mast and tripod.......on the front of my home. Speeds still stunk so I told installer to take it down - I was done. He asked if I would try it for 3 days because if he took it down now he would not get paid. So I agreed......and then called to cancel the following week.....and HAD TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL $92.00!!!They will come to your site during the day when most people and their kids are at work. At that time your speeds will be fine. However, in the evenings once everyone is home and using their home internet the speeds will slow WAAAAAAY down. I was paying for 10mps down and getting less than 2.Nice people, horrible company. If you need wireless do NOT go with Wave2Net.
This company makes me sick to my stomach, we live far out so they are the only viable service. Were paying 70 dollars a month for slow, incredibly unreliable service, I have called at least 30 times and still they have not given a permanent fix. One time we didnt have internet for an ENTIRE MONTH, and guess what we payed that month? SEVENTY DOLLARS. SURPRISE SURPRISE. THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY, THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU, THEY HAVE CRAP TECH SUPPORT. DO NOT LET THEM STEAL YOUR MONEY, IF POSSIBLE, GET INTERNET FROM SOMEONE ELSE, WAVE2NET IS THE WORST ISP EVER. THEY EVEN PUT FAKE 5 STAR REVIEWS, and you know how I know they are fake, because every single other review is one star!......P.S. Even when the internet works, we get HALF as fast as they advertise, plus this internet ALWAYS sucks for gaming.
I wouldnt even give this company one star!!!They lie and decive people into getting their services which are not what they say it is! I was told that the internet was for gaming and dowloading and streaming videos. I have had the service two months now and out of the two months only was able to use the service for a week or two. Everytime i call to make a complaint something is wrong on their end or they have to order another part for what i have already here at my house, taking about a week to get in. For it to still not working properly!!! This company is crap their service is crap and the manager doesnt help at all!!!!! I WILL BE CANCELLING MY SERVICES ASAP!!! BEWARE!!!
Service is intermittent at best. Customer service is pathetic. These people are the exploding cigar of ISPs. Hillbilly joke internet.
I signed up for Wave2net about a year ago. At that time, they said that I can switch plan anytime I want. Well the plan I signed up was level 2, 6/2 MBPS for $85.00/MO. Their Internet was slows consistently. Recently, I went back to wave2net website. Now, they have new plans coming out, Level 1 is 6/3MBPS for $60.00/MO. and level 2 plan is 10/5MBPS for $90/month . I called them up asking to switch to the current level 2. They said that NO I cant because I signed a contract and I am already a Level 2. I can only switch to enterprise level, 20/10MBPS for $190.00/MO. They do not allow me switch to the current level 1 neither. I asked to have Rudy call me, he never call. Office people advised that Rudy told them that he set the policy. I would not recommend anyone doing business with wave2net. I am exploring other internet providers in Winchester.
As great as it is to have an unlimited option for internet, unlimited data doesnt have any benefit if the connection is intermittent - timing out up to four times per minute - and speeds run much slower than advertised. After ovet two years of service, canceled service abruptly with no notice.
BUYER BEWARE!!! Their contract states WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ANYTHING! Horrible customer service. Contacted the owner of the company and he doesnt return phone calls! He IGNORES your complaints! DO NOT USE WAVE2NET!
Our internet was miserable three days after it was installed. We have been trying to cancel our service for three weeks- beginning well within our 30 day trial period, and cannot get a return phone call. We were offered a chance to upgrade our terrible service, for more money of course and when we refused the offer we were told wed have to wait for the owner to call back. We are still waiting and are putting in a claim with the BBB. Absolutely the worst service.Update: 10/21/15.- after contacting BBB, we finally received notice that our service was cancelled on October 3rd which is a joke. After paying out over $500, we are only receiving a refund of $171 due to over $250 in cancellation fees - despite canceling well within our 30 days and being told by the owner that we would receive our installation fee back. We are still waiting for our refund to be credited.I fail to see how this company is still in business- or not shut down.
Worst possible internet, worst possible customer service. Have been a customer for more than 5 years with no equipment update.
Never had any issues. Been here for 5 years
