DES installed leather heated/cooled front seats as well as matching rear leather seats in my Jeep Wrangler. The installation was professionally completed and the final product looks like new factory seats. I have used the newly installed seats for two years now and they still operate well and look fantastic. I would highly recommend Branden and his team!

Im not big on reviews unless I am really wowed by something. This company made that happen. I bought a radio for my truck and spent 6 hours trying to figure out why it wouldnt power up. The next morning in a desperate search to have my dash back to normal I was referred here. Even with a busy schedule Brandon managed to squeeze me in. Within a hour they had me out the door and the finished product was superior in craftsmanship. These guys were super nice and I will be returning for all my truck upgrades

These guys are awesome! They completed a very complicated headlight mod adding modern LED tubes to a vehicle that was manufactured before these were available. The attention to detail and difficult task of inserting the tubes inside lenses is nothing short of astonishing!

The 2020 truck manufacturer changed the specs of the rear seat and the amp company had not updated their dimensions. They could have easily thrown in the towel or had to revise the proposal but they did neither. The installation of a new car stereo and back-up camera was done perfectly. We had a miscommunication regarding our order, but things do happen sometimes. The mix up was addressed immediately by the owner and he stayed in contact with us throughout the process. The customer service is top notch. Communication is a priority of theirs and customer satisfaction is definitely their focus.They have us several options as far as products go and they did not try to up sell us anything we did not need or want. In fact, they installed the exact radio that we saw at Best Buy. A beautiful Kenwood stereo.We compared their installation price to that of Beat Buy. DES is up front about all costs. Best Buy, however, advertises $99 install. Well, there are adapters and antennas and other key component that Best Buy leaves out when you go to their website. Plus, the Best Buy in Wilmington did not even have the people qualified to do the work. The costumer service rep there told me that he’s have to send us to Myrtle Beach or Jacksonville.DES is definitely the place to go. And their install was slightly cheaper than Beat Buy when I did the cost comparison. And they did it when it was convenient for us. You couldn’t ask for better service.

Got my remote starter put in. Good deal and done on time

I recently bought a brand new vehicle and the dealer offered adding leather to the car which I did not know was even an option to do. I was a bit skeptical at first thinking it would look like seat covers you would get from Walmart that would be loose and ugly. They told me just to go over to DES and ask to see Branden Shuler and Justice to see a vehicle that was getting leather in their shop to make the decision to do so or not. They assured me that if I saw it, I would do it. I was blown away with how hospitable and friendly both of them were. They allowed me to watch the process on one of the seats being done and I could not believe how perfect they looked. If the dealer had this in the car already I would have never known it was not from the factory. It’s that spot on. Even better is the fact that the leather actually comes with a warranty that a new one from the factory does not. I dropped my car off Friday morning and by 4:00 that same day it was done. I’m not big on writing reviews, but DES earned this 5 STAR review! Not only did they work with me on the type of speakers I wanted for my boat, but they also took into consideration the new demands the speakers would have on my current battery. They went the extra mile to install an additional battery and switch to control which battery I should use and when. I’m sure it was more complicated than I’m making it sound, but all I have to do is flip a switch when I’m parked so I do not drain the main battery. You won’t be disappointed!

With the state of the pandemic it’s been amazing how business step up to help out other business. Couldn’t be happier with them. Took my 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser to one of their competitors (rhymes with electronics) Saturday morning to have them install it and that company told me it was impossible. Decided to stop by DES today, Monday, around lunch time and the staff their were extremely nice and helpful. Girl up front looked at my dash (double DIN that only had a single DIN system in it) and showed me a system that would fit it perfect. They checked their back room to see if they had the parts which they did and told me to come back around 230 when the tech was back from lunch to have it installed. System works great and looks awesome. Now have touch screen and can run Apple CarPlay for navigation. The previous owner cut some of the plastic to fit in the early 2000’s system in there so I’m gonna have DES make a bezel to go around the system to cover up those dremel cuts. Will send anyone looking to have car audio work to them from now on!

I’ve waited TWO YEARS to post this review. I’m the type of individual that reads and takes to heart the reviews of a company and base my decision to go with them solely on their reviews. This is why I waited two years to post this, to give everyone the most accurate review as possible to see how what I had installed performed over a long period of time.First - my speakers (Rockford speakers) that were installed in my 2003 tacoma, sound amazing! I researched around town and compared prices with all other shops, and DES provided me the best price. They sound great and have continued to sound great two years after installation. No speakers have blown, no rattling, and still sound clear as day just as much as they did on day 1.Second - I purchased a apple CarPlay radio. It was installed quickly, correctly, and has had ZERO issues since the day of installation, and two years later, continues to deliver high quality performance. Also, price competitive wise, DES again our priced every single competitor in the Wilmington area.Third - customer service. It was excellent. I spoke with the manager/owner and he was very straight forward, not pressuring, and after I told him my price range, cut the price down some to keep me in my price range. They work with you. The woman at the desk was very polite, very knowledgeable, and the individual that installed my stuff was also very polite and did a great job. No scratches on my console or anything.ALL IN ALL, if you need speakers, radios, screens, camera, etc, I 100 percent without a doubt recommend you go to DES. Shop around of course and make sure for yourself, but I assure you, you won’t find better quality customer service, knowledgeable individuals, and good high quality products that DES delivers, for the same price and with the same reliability, anywhere else.I have yet to speak with DES since my purchase two years ago, but I intend on going back to see if they can install a back up camera on my 2003 tacoma, and have zero affiliation with them. I recently bought a Jeep and was having a bit of a hard time with the windows and top. I was referred to DES and we gave them a call. We came in and Jay helped us out with properly securing the windows and making sure the top was on track- at no charge! He was very patient and very helpful.

Was having an awful experience with the last shop I chose to install my audio equipment (delayed for two months in a row).I called DES, and not only were they able to get it in and completed same day, but they were so professional and efficient that I had to write them a great review.They finished it in less time than expected, gave me a great deal on some subwoofers that actually fit my truck (last shop d**ked me on that one too,) and they explained everything they did for me and exactly how to use it.Great employees, great shop, and I would give them 6 stars if I could.

Stopped into this place looking for someone to wire in a sub woofer and knowing I wouldNeed to purchase an amp and wires. When he presented the parts and price list it totaled over 1000 dollars. States four hours of labor totaling 380.00. Are you nuts. The next three places I went to had 100.00 flat installation charge and it took an hour and a half to install it all. People actually pay this place’s prices? TooMany other shops in the area who are not this over priced. Oh and yes, better amp and hi lo converter at cheaper prices elsewhere. Talk about price gouging.

Ive been using DES of Wilmington for over 10 years now. I have had them work on six or seven different cars with nothing but positive results. No matter the car type, they have always been able to accommodate all makes and models. I can always call them last minute and they almost always fit me in within 24 hours. Ive had them put in new speakers, navigation system, remote start and bluetooth connectivity. They are the premier audio shop in southeast North Carolina.

One of very few auto stereo sales & service with emphasis on service. Next day service on most parts. Staff is very knowledgeable. Most jobs are completed while you wait. Stereo units, speakers, cameras, lighting, dvd and more.

I recently had A Katzkin leather kit put in my GMC Sierra 1500. The leather kit that Brandon helped me pick out was spot on! His crew installed it the very next morning. It tunrned our way better than I had imagined. The entire experience was fast, easy and extremely professional! He also installed a brand new toolbox in my truck. He had it ordered and installed in 2 days. Would definitely recommend DES if you are looking for extremely fair pricing and speedy installation.

The power window in my Acura stopped working one day in the down position. Thanks to DES they were able replace my window regulator at about half the cost of the dealership. I would recommend them to anyone!

I have had DES install navigation, satellite radio, remote start, fog lights, a wood grain steering wheel and shifter knob, HID headlights, LED interior lights, and he will even change my oil once in a while ;) Ok, I may be a little biased :) but the quality of product and performance by DES speaks for itself!

Let me describe my experience at D.E.S..... wow... I contacted D.E.S because I had bought a truck box with 2 JL 8 inch subs and a JL amp. I bought then secondhand off of craigslist so the first place I called wouldnt even put then in for liability reasons. Arica answered the phone and was super courteous and quoted me a price that was lower than anyone else I called. When I got to the appointment, they didnt just take my keys, they went over in detail and showed where they were putting the amp and speakers at. It was put in quickly and efficiently and the owner even called me because the amp I had did not work. At that point they could have sold me another amp and I would have bought it but instead they dissected the amp, figured out the problem and fixed it!!! Thats why I give these people 2 thumbs up, 10/10 and 5 stars. They chose the ethical route and thats a business Ill go back to for all of my audio/visual needs AND send my friends and family!!!
