My wife and I have been renting from Brandywine Realty management for about a year now. This past year we had our first baby and not even a week old the heater in the house started to leak and we had no heat in the beginning of January. Being first time parents we were terrified that our baby would be sick or worse. They sent someone out to fix the heater for us that same day even though it was a weekend, giving us a great security blanket. At one point we had trouble meeting a months rent because of automotive problems that needed to be fixed. Bud and Brandywine Realty management worked with us and set up a plan to make sure it was paid without putting us in a financial bind. During the whole pandemic, they were working with us and responded to our every need including replacing a washer and a dishwasher. The response time was great, their professionalism was amazing, but more importantly, they provide a friendly atmosphere every single time they were in our home or when we were in the office. We loved bringing our baby in to show and tell and always enjoyed the conversation. If my husband wasn’t military, we would continue to stay here and rent from the, and we would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a reliable realty company.

I would highly recommend Brandywine Realty Management. I have been renting a home from them that I had only planned on staying in for two years. It has been so hard to even consider leaving here that it is now going into my 11th year renting. The home is beautiful inside and any service calls have been attended to promptly. I have grown to know the staff and trust them, which is important to me. I dont know what more I could ask or expect from a property owner/manager that they dont offer or I havent received. Thank you, Bud and Sue Thomas and Brandywine Realty Management, for a great 10 years!

Scam company! Avoid at all costs! Harold Thomas also uses the name Bud Thomas to list his properties, fyi. He told us we could sign a lease and that our pets were allowed-and then dodged us, made up excuses as to why he wouldn’t rent to us, and said he found someone else to rent to. This is a reoccurring theme with them if you read reviews-beware!

I have been a homeowner next door to one of Bud Thomas rentals at Brandywine Mmgt for over a decade now, and unfortunately have had to (try) to communicate with him about an ongoing issue that has been affecting my property. After several years - yes years - I am happy to report the issue has now been taken care of.In my interactions with him, I have been courteous, polite and very patient, but this man has been verbally abusive, accused me of things I have never said or done, called me names and could not even hold a civil conversation with me when I saw him in person for the first time today.If youre looking to have your property managed, I would advise against it. I have seen firsthand how poorly this property next door has been maintained. I cant speak for those who want to rent from this outfit, but I would imagine its not much better.

The other reviews/complaints about Brandywine Realty Management are eerily similar to mine. The broker, Harold Thomas, is terrible. When I was first looking for a place to live, I shared that I was going to rent from Brandywine Realty with a friend who manages a number of properties, and he tried to convince me not to rent from Brandywine Realty. He described Harold Thomas and Brandywine Realty as a slum landlord. Look at the main office of Brandywine Realty and youll understand. If thats how they maintain the main office, just imagine how theyre going to maintain your rental unit. The rent is cheap for a reason, and the business model for Brandywine Realty is just to be cheaper than all the other landlords in the area.Good luck trying to deal with Harold Thomas -- hes an obstinate, grumpy old man who doesnt know the first thing about customer service or marketing. His staff in the main office turns over every few months, and you can guess why. No one likes Harold or working at Brandywine Realty.If you have a problem with your rental unit, youre best trying to fix it yourself. I caught one of the maintenance workers trying to fix a light fixture while standing on the top of an old, empty 5 gallon paint container. When I asked why he wasnt using a ladder he said Brandywine Realty wouldnt give him money to buy one. Another time one of the repairmen told me that he couldnt fix my broken appliance because it was too expensive and the broker, Harold Thomas, was too cheap to want to replace it.Terrible, terrible landlord.

Brandywine Reality was eager to get me in there for an appointment and sign the paper work but after a few months theyve stopped responding to my emails. Im NOT being unreasonable, I need them to fix the stove that hasnt worked reliably in months! It cuts off randomly and when I come back I find that nothing has been cooked. I have to stand there and wait for it to cut off so I can turn it back on again, IF it wants to stay on. The owner brought in their appliance repair friend who didnt fix the problem. We sought out another repair man, paid for an estimate and told the management company.I havent heard back from them after weeks and my realtor was conveniently there per the receptionist when we called and then she was SUDDENLY on the other line but the receptionist could get in one question... They are trying to wait our lease out since they know we WONT be renewing which isnt right. If you are gonna be a property management company, then you better manage. This, of course, is just ONE of the many things that they have been slow and unresponsive about.It is out of my control that the owners arent great and that they put an DIY experiment on the market to rent. But you could try to be more compassionate and understanding to the fact that we have had multiple issues with the property and you not responding is just added stress to things we cant control.If I could do it again, I wouldnt go with Brandywine Realty Management.

Never ever rent off this company! Bud Thomas is the biggest liar, slum lord I have ever dealt with in my life. I lived in his unit for 24 months. In this time I had my car broken into, was harrassed by his tenants who lived below me, roaches, steps on my porch broke and i fell and injured my back, grass never mowed and numerous other issues that I could continue to talk about for hours. His unit gave me nothing but grief. I spoke with him and his staff in person about a broken window in my bedroom that was broken BEFORE I had even moved into the unit. I was told it would be fixed. I lived there for 24 months and it was never fixed. As i was moving out I reminded him again about the window and he claimed I broke the window, so he charged me $400 out of my security deposit to have it fixed. Since I moved out I have driven past the unit and have seen that the window is still broken and has not been replaced! The tenants below had strange people coming in and out all the time. I am a female who lived alone and two males who lived below were always sitting out in the driveway in a minivan watching me throughout the day and night. When I called management to report this nothing was done. Bud was in my unit numerous times due to his filthy tenants below with cockroaches. He told me many times my unit was very clean and always thanked me for keeping it in great condition. When I moved out he took my entire deposit of $1300 and sent me a check for $30 bucks, stating that my apartment was in horrible shape and also lied about the window. He treats people with zero respect and is a poor excuse for a landlord.

Rented from this place and lived in my unit for 10 years. Than after a new tenant moves in on the first floor, they conveniently terminat my lease with no legal reason. So during the 60 days that I have before I was to leave the property, I spent over $100.00 to paint the apartment and I also painted a upstairs back deck. With the help of family and friends, I left that apartment in excellent condition. And I was do to leave on June 30th. But do to the constant harrassment from the new downstairs tenant, I left the property on June 29th. Just too have some peace of mind. The Devil is a Lair!!!!! And the apartment was posted on their website the very next day. Now here it is almost a month later and I still havent received my security deposit back. I feel like if I left your unit, or apartment, or property in excellent condition when I left on June 29th, 2017. Then you should do the right thing and RETURN MY SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK TO ME!!!!!!!!!!

LOL...Wow Mr.Brumbaugh how are you gonna come into a place of residence that you own and just look at our heater and just say if it happens again just call me,are you a certified HEATING/AC guy? Dont you have a nephew that is? and is really good? So because our HEATER being broke ALL WINTER our electric bill is sky high because I will refuse to let my kids go cold so had to plug in portable electric heaters. Now if you really cared about your tenants you would have postponed one of your vacations and installed at least a used heater,so now I really wonder where did my money order that I took there at the office really ended up at??? TIRES ARE BEING REMOVED SLOWLY BUT SHORTLY,DO NOT OWN A DODGE RAM NOR ANY OTHER TRUCK!!!! I have a 2 door Honda.....
