Lived at the lutz apartments from 2017-2018. Very nice apartment and great location. Maintenance was always responsive and we got most of our deposit back (which cant be said about the major leasing companies at purdue)! Very genuine people who run this family owned company. Highly recommend

My husband and I rented from Burgett rentals for five years and they were excellent landlords in that time. We are only leaving them now because we are moving out of state.The house we rented from Burgett Rentals was spotless when we moved in and well maintained while we lived there. They came out in a timely manner when called for repairs, the same day in the sweeping majority of cases. Repairs were always completed, nothing ever just let go.Our landlord was very patient with us. Even when our child damaged something in the house, our landlord was still polite about it, even though it had to be frustrating for him.We considered subleasing our property so we could move away before the end of our leasing term. Our landlord walked us through the process step by step, being clear and fair about what our responsibilities were.The house was much nicer than others we had viewed in the same price range.The management is warm and friendly and treated us with respect.If I could pack them up and take them along, I would.

Burgett rentals is a great company. I have stayed with them for 3 years in two different apartments, and will stay with them again next year. They fix things very quickly, and always let us know what is going on in the apartment building. They were also very accommodating when my friend stayed with me for a while. They also thought of me when the apartment I really like opened up for rent. You just can tell they put in efforts to know their tenants well, and treat the tenants with respect.

I have had nothing but positive experiences while renting from Burgett Rentals thus far. The apartment was updated and clean when I moved in. The location is great, only a 5 minute walk to the union. The staff at Burgett Rentals are always very easy to be reached and respond quickly. They have always answered my questions honestly and genuinely want their tenants to be happy with their apartment. Ive been renting from Burgett Rentals for a year now and have had only good experiences. They remodeled the apartment before I moved in, and everything looked very clean and nice in general. They are friendly and helpful in all interactions, reply to emails reasonably quickly, and have never been rude to me or my roommates. They come by regularly to check on our smoke detector and A/C unit to make sure they are working correctly, and sent someone over to replace our broken garbage disposal in a very timely manner. If you are looking to rent in West Lafayette, I recommend you see if Burgett Rentals has anything available before you look anywhere else.

Josh at Burgett Rentals was an excellent landlord throughout the five years that we lived at one of his properties. Always courteous and very quick to respond to maintenance issues. Never appeared unwilling to make a costly repair or replacement, and was always making sure we were comfortable and content. He was also very fair when it came to our security deposit. We now live in a different city, and are dealing with a terrible property management company, so we now recognize even more how good we had it before with Josh and Burgett Rentals. Take my advice, and make sure you pick a good property management company such as this to avoid any headaches and discomforts throughout your tenancy.

Honestly in my 4 years at renting. I have spent 2 years with Burgett Rentals. They are very good with maintenance. Usually there the morning of the next business day. The apartments are very clean upon first arrival. They give you at least a one day notice if they are going to visit. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a good reliable landlord.

Burgett has been great to work with and Ive been with them going on two years now. They have always been courteous and I have never had a negative interaction with them or any staff that have come to the house to do maintenance work. Burgett has been consistently open to my feedback as a tenant and have taken it into consideration when renovating the home. Burgett Rentals has given me a thoroughly pleasant and personable renting experience. So many other places nickle and dime you for a host of issues, but their lease was very common sense and reasonable. When I had issues with my shower drain, they responded within a day and quickly fixed the issue. They also responded quickly when my housemate began renting out rooms to strangers, which had resulted in some uncomfortable encounters. My apartment is clean and cute--it actually feels like a home! Burgett Rentals treats you like family and looks out for your best interests.

Living at a Burgett Rental property has been a fantastic experience. These past 3 years have been most enjoyable. My landlord has been great whenever I had instances of any type of problem. Having a fantastic location, a nice quiet environment and a great landlord has been made this a very difficult place to leave.

Burgett Rentals is the best management company Ive ever lived with. They are attentive, helpful, and they genuinely care about their clients. I LOVE that they own less properties than a lot of the bigger management companies on-campus, because it really allows them to focus more on current tenants.

Rented an apartment from Burgett for two years. They were very friendly and accommodating in all of my interactions with them. The only minor maintenance concerns we had were fixed quickly, and they seem to put a good deal of effort and expense into maintaining the property (repainting parking lots, installing new bike racks, etc.)Only downside Ive found is a lack of online rent payment—it is possible to set up automatic bill pay through many banks, but an online payment option would be nice.

I seldom leave any comment online, as business nowadays is not so impressive generally, nor do I want to yell at people when I am already done with them. But I have to say Burgett is the best rental office I have found in town over 4 years I have stayed here. Unlike some other leasing office (I would not name) I lived with before who tries to take benefit of you when you move out, Burgett is honest about checking at move out, really cares about how your living experience is and makes you feel at home. Repairing is very efficient and move in condition of both apts I lived in was perfect. Plus for possible construction over summer, there is reasonable compensation which is not everywhere. I had previously negotiated with the office about one missed rental payment and they were very reasonable about it. Believe me in most other office they will drag out your lease from somewhere and throw it to your face.The extra benefit of the apt is that you have two on campus parking with it. The trash bin is reasonably away from building and is never a problem. Also the building is strong in winter to keep cold out.My reason for moving out if it is to anyones interest: I cannot buy C parking of Purdue because the apt is within walking distance from campus and I need it because I work in far away labs now. I would not suggest this apt if you have to buy a C permit but otherwise go for it.Again, thank you for providing me the lovely home, so much sweet memory there.

We are so thankful to have found Burgett Rentals when we were looking for a house to rent a couple of years ago! Every interaction weve had since our first phone call has been so positive! Our home was clean and move-in ready and the few minor maintenance issues have been resolved within hours.I have owned rental property in the past and appreciate how professionally this company runs. Burgett Rentals is family owned and operated. Everyone that works there is fantastic and personable. Properties are maintained well, and the staff responds very quickly to any issues on the property. After all of the horrible experiences Ive had with the largest rental companies in West Lafayette area, it was a welcome change of pace living with Burgett Rentals. I cant recommend them enough, and if you are a student at Purdue for a few years or just living in the area, you are missing out by not looking into living with them. Of the three units I rented in the area, the property managed by Burgett was far better than anything else. The lease was explicit about what was permissible and what wasnt. Rent was reasonable. Any problems with the house were addressed by management promptly.

I have lived at one of their properties for 2 years (1155 Anthrop Drive).Regarding the Landlords:Really nice people, always ready to help. They will fix anything thats broken right away. We had our AC break down and they had it replaced within 3 days. They really care about their tenants. they also do regular check for the filters on the AC, smoke alarm, etc. In all, they know what they are doing and dont slack off. This is a family owned thing so we deal with the landlords directly, not just some employee at the desk.Regarding the Lease:The lease is a standard agreement, though there is a carpet cleaning fee upon moving out (max $100). The only problem is that it needs to be renewed pretty early, they usually ask for renewals in December/January. I feel it is a bit too soon if the lease expires in August. This time around we had to let go of the apartment because we didnt renew early enough. On the flip side, we like the place/landlords so much that we leased the one below ours.Regarding the Property (1155 Anthrop Drive):It is well maintained. Snow is promptly cleared, the garbage bin is never allowed to overflow and the lawn is mowed on time. The apartment has a nice floor plan overall, although i find the kitchen to be a little cramped. Still the kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stove (electric), oven, microwave, dishwasher. The living/dining area is very large and cozy. Bathroom has a tub. MASSIVE hot water capacity so hooray for those who enjoy long showers/baths. Rooms are of a decent size and each room as a large closet. The rooms also have nice windows and good external lightening. Rooms DO NOT have any light fixtures so you will need lamps.The insulation in the apartment is not the best so the electric bills can be a little high, though not by much. Also, if the AC is not running, it is possible to hear the neighbors above us (only if they were being loud). The floors creak in certain areas, though not enough to be an annoyance.Final notes, awesome landlords and great apartment. Much better that all the messed up companies that are in the town.

I rented from them for 2 years in a row, and only moved out because my roommates graduated. They are the most genuine, caring and humble people youll ever rent from. My apartment was a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom at 324 W Lutz Ave that had just been remodeled before I moved in. For the price and convenience to campus, it was a steal, especially for how wonderful and livable the apartment was in comparison to others Ive seen on campus. I even got almost all of my deposit back, something thats unheard of over here. The Burgetts are extremely nice people and some of the most helpful Ive seen anywhere. I can give so many examples from my personal experiences:1. They invited me over for Christmas when they realized Ill be alone here during break, so that I wont feel left out. They really didnt need to do that, but did it anyway.2. Our heater was not functioning properly during a cold winter here, and it led to really high electricity bills. When they realized it was the broken heaters fault, they actually offered to give us money back for the sky rocketing electricity bill. I have never seen more generous and helpful people.3. They fixed anything that wasnt working within 48 hours of us informing them. We have never had issues with anything at all during our stay there. And thats saying a lot.If you care about renting from honest, good people who will do their jobs excellently, you should definitely rent from them! Theyre the best out there. Im grateful that they made my first two years at Purdue so comfortable and memorable.

Someone previously wrote a false review using my name so I figured I could spread some truth about this company. This company gave me the best experience I could have asked for in a campus apartment. I had to go with a random roommate after my previous plans fell through, my random roommate turned out to be a much different person than her first impression let on. Through all of my problems with her Burgett Rentals did everything in their power to help, from advice to mediating the situation through email. The apartment was small, but it had everything I needed, and was not falsely advertised in any way. I received all of my deposit back and in a timely manor. There was one time when I called in to tell them that there was a bee hive near an entrance and they came out and took care of the situation the same afternoon.They are quick to respond to problems, very kind people, and it was a pleasure doing business with them.

My husband and I love Burgett Rentals! I have rented now for 10 years and this is by far the best company I have rented from in those ten years. We had a problem the other month with our apartment. We emailed them after hours hoping they would get back to us in the morning, nope they saw the email and took care of it as soon as it was convienent for us. They are quick to respond, never charge you additionally for anything unless it has been consulted between the two of us, and they are very concerned for us and their properties! We wont stop renting with Burgetts until we are ready to buy a home. We are thankful for the way they run their company, its very hard to find one thats honest and genuine!
