I have moved in and from day one the sink is either clogged or leaking. I think it has been left clogged because otherwise if it is used it will leak, two weeks later, no one came to fix it. A great experience living without a sink.

Brief thoughts:Ive been living here for three years now, and things have been generally great. I have not experienced moving-out of here, so I will update the review if necessary at that time. I see some reviews that complain about management, but I dont think theyre bad. Management is very responsive for repair requests, and theyre generally reasonable people who are willing to help you out for most needs. I think people get confused that they run a business, not a service.Minor issues:Some small issues exist. I live on the first floor, and I can definitely hear footsteps, tv, music, etc. from upstairs. However, the apartment has quiet hours that most tenants respect. Further, insulation at the sliding glass doors could be better.Facilities:Personally, I have not used the tennis court or the sand-volleyball pit. However, there exists a robust community who use the facilities regularly. The landscaping is neat and regularly maintained, and is pleasing to look at in the spring and fall. One small suggestion would be to have a small, fenced area for residents to unleash their dogs and play in the area.Pros - responsive management, quiet environment, generally safeCons - noise pollution from upstairs due to building designOverall, I would recommend this place.

The management staff was professional and friendly from the day we browsed for units until the day we moved out and had to sort out final steps long distance. Anita was very accommodating and quick with responses in regard to anything and everything we needed. This is a safe, cozy, well kept and great place to live.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. My husband and I lived here for 3 years. It was really nice apartment few years ago and now they charge every single thing. They renovated kitchen supplies and bathroom but the quality is extremely poor that we had to call the office to fix stuff. We wanted to live here until my husband finishes his school but we are going to move out.

First off, these are older apartments with poorly maintained interiors. They do a good job of painting the outsides to attract customers, but the interiors are horrible. Be prepared to give up your right to privacy as the soundproofing is absent. Moreover, the management team is dishonest. They will charge you an arm and a length when you vacate for damages that were already there when you were given the possession. We had to vacate preemptively due to Coronavirus pandemic. We got it professionaly cleaned and they still dinged us $300 for stupid reasons. Stay away!!

Used to be a good place. The apartments are too old now. They are remodeled however it does not change the fact that the buildings are old. I do not recommend unless you go to the third floor. Otherwise you will hear every single move that your upstairs neighbor makes especially if they stomp.

Ive been a resident for 3 years and if I werent relocating for work, Id continue living here. The only issues Ive encountered are normal things youd experience in any apartment situation and are hardly worth worrying about. The quality of life here is excellent. I rented a 1 bed/1 bath with den and it is SPACIOUS. While older, the apartments are well-maintained. Maintenance staff is EXCELLENT! All work orders are addressed promptly and professionally. The office staff is GREAT! They are very communicative and have always treated me well. Over all, Ive been genuinely happy at Salem Courthouse and would absolutely recommend this complex to anyone looking for a great place to live.

I usually don’t write reviews but my experience with this community was so painful that I thought it is necessary to share my experience, so that others can be careful when dealing with them and wouldn’t go through the pain what I am going through right now.My husband and I were looking for a new apartment (with the community environment in priority) because we are expecting a baby soon. We liked their community and scheduled a tour. During our tour, the leasing consultant asked- “just two of you?” and I had said “and we are expecting a baby soon”. And throughout the tour I had mentioned many times about my pregnancy because I am in my last month of pregnancy and was not able to walk fast/properly. Also, the apartment she showed to us was on the 2nd floor so I had to climb the stairs with so much difficulty. She showed us a 1bed, 1 den apartment and we liked the apartment (because our priority was the community surrounding than the apartment size). I came back home and filled up their application online. While filling up the application I had to call the same leasing consultant many times to ask about their fees, application process etc. (because she literally didn’t give any more information other than handing over their fancy pamphlet and showing the apartment). I filled up the application and paid $235.Next day, when another leasing consultant emailed me about my application, I asked if I can set priority in the apartment we would like to move-in ( I said to make it 1st floor or 2nd floor because we will have a small baby by the time we move-in ). It is then she told me that it is their community policy and we can’t live in a 1 bedroom apartment because including the baby we make 3 people. I asked to cancel my application and return the fee I paid because their 2 bedroom apartment was not affordable for us. She said the application fee is non-refundable and they can only refund me $100. I understand their policy, but it was not a mistake from our end at all. Had the leasing consultant told us about their occupant policy earlier, during the tour or at least when I filled up the application, we would not have filled the application itself. Now, on these last days of my pregnancy, I am going through such emotional stress, struggling to get back our hard-earned money back. But all in vain, nobody listens. Now, I regret about the unlucky moment when I saw their website, got fascinated and thought to inquire.*****************************************************The issue is fnally resolved. They fully refunded the money. We lost a lot of time and energy but I am glad we got our money back. Thank you all for your time and patience in reading this post.

Great location for students and small family.Great management, quick weekend Maintainance.Open on Saturdays.Washer dryer included in most units.Water price included in rent.Covered parking for $15/month. Affordable rents.Covered patio. Carpet cleaning with lease renewals.Only drawback is their 2 bed 2 bath does not have separate dining. Insulation is bit issue in winter but nothing deal breaker.

Resident of 3.5 years and never had too much trouble. Thermostat sticking at the start of two winters was the worst maintenance issue I ever had but was resolved quickly reach time. I had a two bed-two bath which was very spacious. I appreciated the main office signing for packages during the day while I was at work. Buildings are old and the winter can get a bit chilly. I would recommend if you work for one of the businesses in the nearby Purdue Research Park. Sagamore is close and Chauncey is not that far away.Id recommend if you want to stay on the W Lafayette side but also want to stay on the cheaper side of rents in the area.

Good: Pool, tennis courts, and easy parking.Bad: Rude staff, you will never see the security deposit for the fitness center key, we lived there for almost a year and had two pests: (bedbugs and cockroaches), and they do not care at all for customer service.Worst: they told we picked up a security deposit from a friends apartment when we never did. Their archives are very subjective to the mood of the manager in the hour you go.

Absolutely terrible place! Lied to us and said we were approved just so that some guy could get out of his lease! Wanted us to sign a lease on the 12th of July but we didnt hear until Monday the 10th. They were so eager to get this guy out of his lease that they went against qualifying requirements to get us approved, assured by Anita that the manager would agree with her. Then the manager told us at the last minute that we werent approved. Ive been a leasing consultant before and I can tell you this is TERRIBLE management. Everyone there is SO RUDE especially Shanda, good lord, she is clearly miserable at her job and shes highly abrasive, just do the girl a favor and fire her. She obviously has no desire to do anything but talk down to people. Unprofessional staff and the apartments are nothing to write home about. Do not rent here!

I could care less about how good the location of the apartment is, how good is other physical facilities, if the apartment have a crew of office staff that has really poor judgement and abandoned my pet in the wild.My cat jumped off the balcony and was scratching on the doors of downstair neighbors. They called the office and the office picked up my cat. It was a Friday and they called a few places before they get off to their big weekend. They could not find a place to take her, so they decided to release the cat to the wild. Now my cat is nowhere to be found and I am not even sure if she is alive and well. The bottom line is, IN NO CASE it is the right (morally or legally) thing to release a cat to the wild. Call the police station and they could readily pick up the cat. And my cat could have a totally different destiny.I made a police complaint against the apartment, since not even once I heard any form of apology from the apartment office.I could care less about the apartment since I already moved away. I wrote this for my dear cat, and for all of those out there who love their pets.

The leasing office refuse to keep the delivered packages for the residents for more than 10 day. This is EXTREMELY inconvenient for the residents that HAVE JOBS TO DO from 9 am to 5 pm because you can basically NEVER see them. Their office hours are poorly arranged and refuse to help with the packages if some residents need to work and travel.
