I have loved my experience with C2 so far! you get what you pay for, (take that as you please) and i am only a 2 minute walk from my classes! every time i have called or needed help, i have received awesome service! i recommend this company!
They really try to foster a community! Love their locations around campus. They have a very friendly staff and frequently have community events.
I 100% wish I would have rented elsewhere. I lived here last year and sadly renewed again for this year. The only nice thing about the apartment is the distance it is from campus. When I moved in there was still furniture in my room (an office chair, trash can, and pillow case) from whoever lived there before. When I moved in I had to pay a $275 redecoration fee which Im assuming was just pocketed because the carpet was disgusting. I cleaned my carpet myself and the water was basically black. The exhaust fan in our bathroom was broken and they did eventually come fix it but when we asked about the black mold all over the ceiling and walls, caused by not having a working exhaust fan, we were told to clean it ourselves. The apartment is so incredibly over priced for the size and quality.
Terrible, greedy company. Terrible house. The house was an absolute mess when we moved in. The bathroom doors doorknob was improperly installed so someone got locked in the bathroom and we had to pry them out. We had crickets in the basement, flies on the first floor, and hornets on the second floor. All of these took weeks to get partially fixed. Weve had a broken window for two months despite being told itd be fixed a month ago. When we toured, they acted like the house had full AC, but they neglected to tell us that only one window AC unit was theirs (rated to cool less than 1/4 of the house). All around awful company. Do not rent from this company.EDIT: Yep, just like with everything they say theyre going to do, their response was a complete lie and they did not reach out to me. They dont care about you, theyre just trying to appear understanding. Dont listen to their BS.
I’ve had a wonderful experience with collegiate communities! Adjusting to college life can be stressful, but CC has helped make my college experience easier and enjoyable. The club house has definitely been one of my favorite perks; the study area is a quiet, productive place where I got most of my work done, and their beautiful gym always had me looking forward to my daily workout. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. If you ever have a question definitely ask for Riley— he’s helped me out a lot! As graduation approaches, I just wanted to share how thankful I am for CC, I highly recommend and will miss them very much!
Love living at C2! Great location, quick walk to all my classes. Staff is very nice and always accommodating. Great amenities. Always enjoy the different gifts and events C2 is constantly having.
C2 is a great leasing agency and the staff are always extremely helpful and friendly. The clubhouse has great amenities that are well maintained. The apartments are clean and feel like new when moving in. C2 is a true hidden gem for leasing at Purdue!
This is my third year living with Collegiate Communities on Marsteller St and I love it! All employees are super friendly and will help you with any questions or whatever you need. The maintenance crew is super nice and will fix anything within a short period of filing a request. The clubhouse has free printing, a coffee bar, a full-ish gym, different gaming things, and even free tanning. They also have giveaways and events in the clubhouse a few times a month! I highly recommend living with Collegiate Communities!!
Great customer service and helpful staff! This is a great community to live and work in. If you havent checked out Collegiate Communities, you better do it now!
C2 has tons of activities for their residents and they provide a great renting experience!!! Would highly recommend to any Purdue student looking for affordable places to live!
The office is very helpful and a safe area to live! Reasonable prices and wonderful apartments with great amenities!
Collegiate Communities is a great option for students who are looking for affordable housing but dont want to feel as if they are sacrificing comfort. The staff at Collegiate is not only professional but also attentive and friendly. I feel as if they really make an effort to get to know residents. They also have so many resident events that I feel as if Im constantly getting free food! Its awesome! 10/10 would recommend
They have many good properties which are all close to campus so thats a big plus!
The staff here is super great! Theyre always helpful and willing to help with any issues or questions we have. I love the events they throw and how close they are to campus!
My house is a great size for me and my roommates! The staff is super helpful and always really nice when I call in. I can’t wait to bring another roommate in this year!
The Marsteller Location is so great and incredibly close to academic campus! They are cute and cozy apartments! My three roommates and I enjoy it there! We also love the staff and clubhouse! This location also has the horticulture gardens across from it. The gardens are always changing with plants and flowers! They are fun to walk through and take breaks from school in!
Do not let the inviting office fool you. There is no guarantee that the unit you are placed into will be cleaned or of similar quality as the one you toured. I included pictures of the unit (you can see them if you click under my name) I was moved into which had a strong mold smell in both showers and a strong stench throughout the whole apartment. When I turned on the heat, the smell of foul body odor seeped out of it. The fridge also smelled so badly that I could not keep fresh fruit in there (even after it was cleaned and an odor absorber was placed in it)They also charge a large monthly fee for parking which they did not make clear to me until I was literally moving in. Usually you would assume that you are able to park in your own parking lot free of charge. The management is disorganized and rude when it comes to fixing any problems. I emailed them and left voicemails and they still never got around to fixing the uncleanliness in the room I moved into.
The office staff had made signing for an apartment here very easy. From the tour to the signing process itself, the leasing manager, Savannah, explained every detail and answered all of my questions that I had after the tour and during signing. they have computers in their clubhouse that you can use to sign your lease online. She talked about monthly events they do in the clubhouse and out on property that Im really looking forward to. The apartment I saw was currently occupied but I signed for it for the next year. Great location and great staff!
Getting ready to rent and set up paperwork for the apartment was super easy! They helped and kept me updated every step of the way. They also have a lot of affordable and great locations on campus! Super excited to live here!
I am moving into a C2 location this upcoming Fall and I have no complaints about the experience I’ve had moving closer to move-in day! Every time I have called with a question, the staff has been super helpful and friendly! There has never been a time where they did not have an answer for my questions. Their properties are all very affordable and can be found on all parts of campus which is super convenient for students wanting to be closer to their classes!
I love how caring and friendly all the staff are! I’ve rented with them for 2 years now and couldn’t be happier! They care about each renter and get to know them personally! Highly recommend! Also, great locations for a very affordable price!
Very helpful staff who respond very quickly to maintenance requests/ any other time help is needed. The events hosted at the clubhouse are always fun and there’s free food a lot!
CONS:- very irresponsive staff; never respond to emails in a timely fashion or return calls- IMPORTANT: if you rent an apartment after you move from here and need a landlord reference letter YOU WILL NOT GET IT- will turn off water without notice for maintenance- we were once locked out for 8 hours, having called emergency maintenance numerous times, and turns out we were locked out because they forgot to fix our door once completing maintenancePROS:- very cheap and close to campus (200 North St) so if you don’t want anything nice go for it- the clubhouse is nice if you ever go there
Love living at C2! Great location, quick walk to all my classes. Staff is very nice and always accommodating. Great amenities. Always enjoy the different gifts and events C2 is constantly having. 10/10 would recommend!
I toured here with a friend that was looking for a house. I wasnt actually looking for housing but Id suggest this place to anyone who wants to stay close to campus. The two people in the office were very friendly and were able to answer all of my friends questions. I kind of wish I didnt sign a lease with the place Im in now because I would like to live with Collegiate Communities next year.
Great staff and cheap apartments for what you get. they have cool events like grocery bingo and free food in the lounge all the time.
I have loved living with Collegiate Communities! The staff is very responsive and is always willing to help. I highly recommend living with them, it has been a great experience. The free tanning, gym and community events are nice add-ons to the already great experience.
I could not have had a better housing experience than living with C2 for 2 years in a row! Location is perfect, prices are very reasonable, maintenance is always on top of things, and the management team is very accommodating and helpful. You cant get better housing this close to campus and its hard to find property staff as great as the staff at Collegiate Communities. Highly recommend this place for all Purdue students!
Close to campus and affordable student living!
Very reasonable rate for their location and prompt maintenance response. If you dont minding living in older apartments, this is the best deal you can get around the campus.
My cousin lived here and loved it! Every time I came to visits it was so nice and the staff was great!
The staff here are very friendly and do an outstanding job at making the C2 community feel almost like a big family. Highly recommend!
Nice apartments! I live in marsteller st apt and great location. just the center of Purdue University. The C2 lounge is awesome with free gym and free printing. The people at Collegiate Communities are very nice and definitely committed to customer service and always make sure we are living well. Ginny as the manager of the leasing office is super great! Love to live here~
Ginny is amazing! Before C2 was really struggling. The location is great! Just wish maintenance was a little more professional and kind. Overall, a really good affordable apartment close to campus!
Happily renewed my lease at C2 for my second year in a row! The apartments are in a perfect location and the management is great!
Excellent. Can not be more please if I try. Got a free chicken nuggets here recently and it show.
I wish I could give Collegiate Communities a 0 star rating. My three roommates and I lived with Collegiate for two years because the location was close to our classes. The location DID NOT make up for all of the crap we went through in those two years. We moved in to find our carpets were covered in black gunk that stained our feet, socks and shoes. Both bathrooms had black mold that we reported several times to which nothing was ever done, we constantly had water leaking from sinks and toilets, our refrigerator was falling apart, like another review said, Collegiate changed our locks and did not inform us... the list goes on. To add insult to injury, upon move out Collegiate charged my roommates and I each $100+ to clean counter tops in kitchen and full bathroom, remove a bag of trash, fix refrigerator and vacuum bedroom carpets. When I asked the office about the charges they were completely unprofessional and rude. The manager even hung up on me during a phone call when she realized she could not defend the charges. So after the four of us combined paid almost $50,000 to this company over the course of two years for housing that was overpriced and honestly unsafe to live in, they still wanted to nickel and dime us all the way to the end. I would NEVER suggest living at any of the Collegiate Community properties to any of my family, friends or fellow students. Do yourself a favor and rent with someone else.
The property manager Riley is a great guy. He has helped this place a lot! Great apartments and great staff!
The staff is very outgoing! They are knowledgeable and fair. I highly recommend Collegiate Communities!
The worst apartment on campus. It had cockroaches and constantly had mold problems. When my toilet broke, it took the maintenance people 4 MONTHS to fix it. NEVER rent from these people.
Collegiate Communities is a great place to live! Location is amazing and so close to campus! Free tanning whenever I want! Laundry on site! Great prices! Friendly staff! I love CC!!
Awesome staff and I love the indoor clubhouse!
Staff and Maintenance are awesome! Highly recommend any Purdue student to stay with this complex. They even offer 1 beds and a relet program!
Purdue Parents and Students Beware! My son and his roommates rented a 4 bedroom apartment from Collegiate Communities. One of the boys was not able to stay at Purdue. The management company showed the spare room and rented it out within three hours of notification.Without input from our son or the other tenants, they rented the room to a 35 year old man! Yes, that is not a typo. A 35 year old man moved in to the apartment with three 19 year old male students and they will do nothing about it.Before we knew about his age, I asked how they place new tenants in open rooms and the property manager assured me they look at profiles to see if they are a good match before showing the property. They determined a 35 year old non-Purdue student was a good fit to room with with students that are 19 years old. After voicing our concerns, the property manager claimed that Fair Housing Laws dictate they lease to anyone who qualifies. This is a complete distortion of the truth.Fair Housing laws do protect defined classes against discrimination. The protected classes include race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status or handicap. Indiana law has protections for the same classes. Age is not a protected class!Using their logic, they could rent an open room to a 35 year old man even if the other tenants were 19 year old females. You may want to keep that in mind before you rent from this company.
College students and parents, DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL COMPANY. They are a bunch of crooks. After living there for three years with almost no renovation/money/work being put into the place, they charged me $440 to clean out the utilities that came with the apartment. This is on top of the redecorating fee of around $300 that they mislead you to believe is a deposit for your apartment. I submitted 4 maintenance requests over the three years I lived in the apartment and only 1 of them was ever completed with any efficiency. The other fixes were either non-existent and marked as complete or a band aid on a bigger issue that was never fixed. I moved out in May and just received the total $515 move out fee on August 10th. Ive never received any helpful information from the revolving door of Collegiate Communities employees so I decided to just pay the fee and move on with my life. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. I never complained about construction or the two gas leaks in two years that forced me to evacuate not only my apartment, but the entire block of Pierce street. I never complained about the dirt-patch parking lot. Nor did I complain about the caving in ceilings and loose door knobs. I didnt complain that I had to buy my own microwave replacement, or that you never once put in new carpets or lighting after repeated requests. After all I put up with, the fact that you would charge me a $440 cleaning fee is outrageous. 1 star living experience. I very much look forward to never doing business with Collegiate Communities again. DO NOT USE COLLEGIATE COMMUNITIES.
Great people work in The office The property manager and head leasing associate are Doing fantastic work
Now that management has been gutted, C2 is great. They are obeying laws and are checking on reported maintenance issues instead of ignoring them.Very glad I stuck with my lease despite previous problems.Have had a great experience with the new people in the office and maintenance staff.
Fantastic staff and love the clubhouse!
Great management! Best value on apartments this side of the Wabash.
Came back to my apt. at 2 am to take a campus exam the next day.Without any notice/email/phone call, THEY LOCKED ME OUT OF MY OWN APARTMENT.To make matters worse, their Emergency Maintenance number, which youre supposed to call for gas leaks, lock outs, etc., sent me directly to an answering machine...Rent was paid, bills were paid.I cant even fathom what their thought process was, and why they thought this was remotely acceptable. Will update once I hear their side of the story tomorrow...update: ended up having to basically break into my own apt. was emailed today by CC telling me that the lock wasnt replace, just set on the master key slot (where the house key i had wouldnt work) because they forgot to return it to the normal slot after coming into my apt (without notice) to use my electricity for an outdoor concrete repair... I couldve had to pay for a hotel overnight and all they offered was a $10 gift card for my troubles...... disappointing and not trustworthy
Very friendly and kind staff! Always helping out when possible!
They promise to clean the house and repair everything before you sign the lease. After you are signed up, they provide house in same poor condition.
Was lied to and cheated out of money numerous times. The employees were disrespectful. DO NOT SIGN A LEASE WITH COLLEGIATE COMMUNITIES!
I am an international Purdue student and at the beginning I had many doubts regarding renting an accommodation from my country. However, I must say that the deal with Collegiate Communities has made things much easier, since it has been excellent. From the beginning they have been very attentive, effective, fast and professional. They have been able to answer my questions correctly and keep you informed at all times. They also carry out many activities for tenants.
